Just a little bit of back ground. I'm a swimming teacher and have been teaching at the same place for 3.5 years.

When my DS was 6 months old I put him into baby lessons at my work in a class after I had finished teaching as I had to be in the water with him obviously My boss charged me for his lessons but gave me a $30 discount for the term.I thought oh well so be it I guess but deep down I was a bit peeved about having to pay when I could teach him the same thing. Fast forward to today..I sent my boss a message asking if I could put DS into one of my classes once a week to teach him to swim. She sent a message back 3 hours later and said I could put him in but I'd have to pay for him but she'd give me a $3 per lesson discount.

I guess my question is am I being unreasonable in thinking that I shouldn't have to pay to put my son into one of my classes or maybe should be given a bit more of a discount than a measly $3?
