What do you do & how did you go about starting?

I'm looking at leaving my job, unless I get booted first... either way, it's time for a change
I love the idea of being at home for a bit, I have done work from home for my current job but it was extra stuff related to the admin at work ITMS. I have no idea what I would do at home & am looking for some ideas.

Do you have to muck around much with ABNS etc? I'm pretty clueless about it all...

...any advice or inspiration is very welcome!
