group assessment?

I need help, I got a call earlier and I have a group assessment tomorrow for a night fill job, what exactly do I need to do? Is it a big group? What are they looking for? Any help would be great

wow good for you renee to be able to get out so early!

Basically it will be less time consuming to assess everyone as a group rather than individual interviews.

for more complex job positions, they may do role plays, with example scenarios etc. But for the supermarket, i would just say that a lot of peopl eare going for jobs and they see everyone at once

oh ok, thanks Danni. Yeah just getting out a couple of shifts a week for some extra income. Not sure how long I will last, plus being at night, the kids are asleep, so that's a bonus

if they do a group exercise, make sure you show you're capable of team work - it's what a lot of places look for - they look at the people in the middle personality wise - not too quiet and withdrawn, but not over the top extroverted! make sure if it's a group/team exercise, you work together, asking what others think, making your opinions heard without being overly pushy iykwim?

my current job, we were broken into groups of three and two of us could look at a lego model, third had to build it without seeing and we couldn't point we had to describe - they lookd for people who asked the builder what they wanted next etc...

I wasn't too bad, there was about 10 people in the group, so I followed your advice (i'm quite shy) and made chit chat and put my hand up first to begin an assignment thing and it worked! I applied for night fill but they rung me thisarvo to say they want me on registers instead, so I have final one on one interview tomorow
