Work from home jobs - help please!

Hi everyone,

I am pregnant and due in June next year, and I would really like to find a genuine job that I can do from home after bub is born. I'm experienced in admin/secretarial type work and have a very fast typing speed so would be ideally looking for something along those lines. Does anyone know of anything like that that is actually genuine?

You could look at virtual PA or doing medical transcripts from home. It might be something you can start now, so you know what is involved.

No idea. Never done it. I'm not good at admin. I think it involves typing up doctors' notes (scrawls) after hours. So they see patients all day, then scan the docs to you. You type them up and send/email it back. I think.

Work from home medical work: going to the hospital, picking up tape of dictated letters and instructions. NO notes - these are confidential and are NOT allowed in private homes, as a general rule. You audiotype what you hear, so some familiarity with drug names and conditions is preferred. There may also be instructions on the tape for you to carry out, such as "look up this" or "email this person" or "organise a blood test for" - depends on the doctor you get really.

The letters will have to be printed out at cost to you on headed paper. You then take the letters back. Any corrections will be marked on the letters and you get to re-do them. However, some prefer you to type electronically and use an in-house system so a dedicated printing person can print and amend letters, you just mark on areas where you are unsure about what is said. To many corrections, gaps and unsures may mean less work for you.
