Names Names Names

I would love some opinions on the names I have chosen for my characters. The sorts of things I would like to know are if they sound good together, if they sound like they are meant to be together, and if there are any you would change.

Heroine - Tallulah Ballantyne
Parents - James & Diane Ballantyne
Brothers - Ben, Simon & JJ (James Jr)
Aunt (Diane's sister) - Stella Montgomery

Hero - Nate Spencer

Friends - Kate Sawyer, Claire Attwood

There are more minor charcters but these are the main ones. Would love your opinions, comments, suggestions or anything else you want to throw my way!!

Cool names.

If I might make a suggestion - the chicks name seems a bit out there - considering what her brothers are called - all nice normal, strong, boys names.

Hers just seems.. a bit... I dunno... like it doesn't fit in with the rest of the family names somehow.. I dunno what I'm getting at. I know what I mean but I can't find the words...

I have done that deliberately Mel!

I figured that the parents got three boys - and when they finally got their girl she had to have a pretty special name.

My alternative for Tallulah is Sophia - but I just don't think it makes her stand out.

How about Imogen? I don't think Sophia quite fits. I think Imogen is very pretty and feminine in it's nickname form - Immy - and very grown up, mature, strong and adult as is... Is it an option?

As for Nate Spencer - Is it Nate or Nathaniel, peresonally I think Nathaniel is better and Nate as the nick / more commonly known as name.

Otherwise I think it all sounds fantastic.

Tallulah Ballantyne is quite a mouthfull, would you refer to her in a nickname? I thinks its super pretty though and like your reasoning behind choosing it! xx

I like the suggestion of Imogen - funnily enough that is the name DH has his heart set on if we have a baby girl. Nate will be short for Nathaniel.

Amber - I would refer to her as either Lula or Lulu throughout the story.

It's hardly going to be a masterpiece but I am considering posting the chapters as I complete them - I'm a bit weary of posting it in the public forums though (don't want anyone stealing my idea!) maybe I'll ask for PM's or something if anyone is interested in reading it!!

If you check out my blog (bottom of my sig) I am starting to post bits and pieces - such as characters and locations.

I'm still yet to write anything super solid. I'm still in the thick of researching and plotting!!
