Hi all
Taken me a while to get around to posting. I had a good night last night. She did however wake a lot between 1 and 5:30 I think she was trying to fart and couldn't poor thing.
She was easy to settle back to sleep and wasn't hungry just needed settling.
We went to Kmart today and I picked up some toys from the toy sale. 1 I brought home and 2 I put on layby. I also picked up loads of clothes in the sale for next year when she is 1.
I spoke to mum who has told me to put any toys I want on layby with the target sale and she will pay for them when she is over in September. She will spoil Erykah rotten as everything to her is cheap when she converts it into pounds.
I feel a bit bad as I have been having a rough time up until now I have only got round to checkin on friends in London after the bombing. One of my mates would have travelled on one of the tubes just not sure what time he would pass through Russell Square. Hope he is alright and gets back to me.
All Shami's family are in London he has not even called home to see if they are alright. His theory is they would have called if something had happened. I guess his Mum and Dad who are both retired would not be in Central London at that time of day.
It is a bit close to home the bombers. I am from York near Leeds where 3 of the bombers came from and I went to Luton Uni which was partially closed as they caught a train from Luton Station.
Anyway enough of that I am sure my friends will be OK. Have a good night mums and bubs
Shannon hope all went well today. My thoughts are with you and Jesslyn
Have a good weekend
Jo

Wow it`s quiet in here today.
Jo - I hope your friends are all ok. Glad you had a good night last night.
Matthew seems to be very interested in food, we`ve noticed in the last few weeks he watches us whenever we eat and last night during dinner he was a bit grizzly in his rocker so I sat him on my lap while I ate, he was watching every mouthful plus he`d open his mouth wanting some. They say once bubs becomes interested in food they are ready for it, but he`s only 2.5 months, I was really wanting to solely bf him until 6 months but the way he`s going I think I`ll be lucky to get to 4 months.
Matthew is much happier today, this morning he continued laughing for quite some time, thats the first time he`s done that, he will often give a couple of laughs but not continually, it was beautiful.
Matthew slept from 8.30pm until 2.30am (was woken by Marks alarm), so quite a good night.

Afternoon everyone,
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
We had a good night last night and Chloe was a little angel.
I thought they would both wake up at the same time but no i managed to feed one then the other and put them back to sleep with no trouble at all.
Thery even both woke after each other this morning they had a little play together and i managed to get some photos as well.
-
Hi Everyone!
Jo - hope that your friends are OK...
Shannon - any news .....looking foward to hearing from you!
Michelle - well done on feeding 2 babies! I am flat out managing one!! :)
Dee - Yay on the good night sleep! That is fantastic!
Juliette - are you still around?
All is OK here - little Finlay appears to be getting better (fingers crossed) but I did cancel our plans to go out tonight and I think that our friends were a little annoyed. (They are childless and perhaps thought that I was over reacting!) I just wanted to give our bubby the opportunity to get better.....I feel a bit slack about not going out - but babies must come first!! What do you girls think about this?
Hope that everyone is doing OK and has a good night sleep!
Megan
-
Hi!
Yep Megan...still around! Good to hear your little man is getting better. I am totally with you on your decision to stay home. I would have done the same thing. I hope your friends will get over it and understand. I've had to cancel things I was planning because of one baby-related thing or another, but at the moment there is nowhere I'd rather be than with Hannah.
Shannon has posted in the "Children with a disability/illness" forum this arvo. Apparently Jessalyn's biopsy went really well, and they are waiting for results on Monday. We're thinkin' of you Shannon and Jess!!!!!
Glad you had a good night last night Michelle! You're the angel I think! It must have been so cute to see them playing together.
Dee - I am hoping to bf for 6 months too, but I guess sometimes babies have other ideas! Glad Matthew is happier. It sounds like he was a pretty grumpy bum for a few days there. I can't wait for Hannah to laugh properly. She can gurgle and smile, but hasn't quite mastered the chuckle.
Way to go on the shopping spree Jo! I find it so much more fun shopping for Hannah these days than me. I hope your friend is ok? The bombings were shocking for all of us, but it must seem so much more personal to you.
I had a great sleep last night! Hannah was sooooo grumpy all evening but must have worn herself out. When I finally settled her, she slept for 7 hours!!!!!!!! Woo hoo! Fingers crossed this becomes a habit!
How many of you are using dummies? I've so far resisted, apart from using it as an occasional plug when she's screaming in public. I used it today during the day when she was getting a little unsettled and it worked a treat. Don't know if it's a good idea though.....
-
Dee - glad that Matthew is sleeping better and giving you a rest. Maybe he is just getting interested in what you and Mark are doing? Not food as such IFYKWIM? Matty is 5 months tomorrow and we haven't started him yet. Anyway, only you'll know when it's the right time so trust your instincts I say!
Michelle - great work on looking after the 2 bubs.
Lesley - hope you had a great time!
Lisa - moved your details across - welome to the 1 - 3 month thread!
Juliette - I don't give Matthew a dummy and that is a conscious decision by us. He does suck his thumb and fist and fingers a bit but that, I think, is a development thing. I am lucky with Matthew as he doesn't have reflux or colic, but I could imagine that if he did, a dummy might be used.
Megan - great on you for cancelling plans, I have done it myself. I think the importance of the bubs is more important that socialising at this point of time. Of course this is just my POV. There is plenty of time to do it later. Your friends may not be as understanding, but when they do have kids they'll think back and understand then, so I wouldn't worry about it.
Jo - I also hope that your friends are okay. Such a worry that people in this world could do that to another human being, let alone several!
-
Hey everyone
Have had no internet for nearly a week, seems like forever, had major withdrawals!!!
Well firstly i want to make a complaint about the sandman, he forgot to sprinkle sand in someones eyes tonight!!! Come back and do the job properly damn you!!
Shannon: Sorry to hear you have had a few challenging days
And yes i agree with Shannon, two Belindas is way too confusing in here, i am happy with adding initial at end of names to work out who is talking to me or other Belinda, also dont mind if you just use my username :)
Well all is not too bad here, besides a wide awake baby!, had his 6 wk checkup this week(never on time with things). All seemed well, he has mild cradle cap, thought he did but wasnt sure and doctor mentioned it when he looked at him, so he said to put baby oil in his bath.
Oh and on the topic of baby oil, i watched oprah awhile back and a baby died from drinking the stuff, it coats there lungs and is deadly so keep it way out of reach. You may already know this but thought i would share it anyway.
He wieghs 4.5kgs now, and his weight gain on the graph is dipping a bit, doctor said he would keep his eye on it, not too worried as they seem to do this then they suddenly have a big growth spurt. He is still not drinking enough though, but other than force feeding, which i wont do, there isnt much i can do, i am just hoping he picks up soon with feeding.
Well anyway will catch up more next time
Glad everyone seems to be going ok
Take care

Hi guys!
Just graduating to here from the newborn thread. I can't believe missy is a month old already!
For those who don't know me, I'm Lisa, and apart from Makenzie I have two sons, Cooper who is 6 and Riley who is 3.
Anyway, just a brief introduction, have a ton of washing etc to go and do. But before I go, just something funny that I just read :
It appears that, although most men can not remember their anniversary, they know when that six-week mark will hit without batting an eye.
LOL! So true, too!
-
Welcome Lisa and Makenzie - they grow so quickly don`t they. LOL about men not remembering their anniversary but know when the 6 weeks is up, that`s very true though, I`ve been there done that ;)
Nell - I hope your right as I don`t want Matthew to be this interested in food just yet but it also doesn`t help when Mark tells me Michael was on solids at an early age but then he often compares the two of them which in a way isn`t good they are their own individual little people.
Belinda - Thanks for the info on the baby oil, I know once Matthew starts crawling there are going to be so many things which will have to be put away in this house, problem is we don`t have much room.
Juliette - I`m sure it will not be long before Hannah starts to laugh properly. Re Dummy we don`t use one for some reason I`ve always been against dummies, Matthew sucks his hands, fingers and thumb a lot but I don`t mind that, I didn`t have a dummy as a kid but I sucked my thumb and I turned out ok and don`t have crooked teeth because of it.
Megan - Glad that Finlay is getting better and you did the right thing by staying home with him I would have stayed too, in fact I`ve only left Matthew once with someone for 10 minutes and I felt like my arm had been cut off so it will be a long time before I can get to the stage of leaving him for more then 10 minutes, but everyone is different.
Michelle - Glad all went okay with Chloe, do you have the photos on the website? I`d love to see them.
Not much happening here I finally managed to vaccum the house it hasn`t been done since I was pregnant, I wasn`t able to do it for 8 weeks after the c/s anyway, I put Matthew in his swing and he watched me I`m always hopeful that early learning = help Mummy later - I can only hope :D (just joking!!!!)
Sounds like little man is slowly waking up, and Mark`s alarm woke him again this morning at 2.30 ](*,) he did have 5 hours sleep though.
Juliette - I forgot to say YAY at Hannah`s 7 hour sleep, hope you made the most of it.
Take care

Dee - Just put a couple of pictures of Chloe and Alex on his website.
-
Thanks for letting me know Michelle, I`ll have a look :D
-
Michelle, aren`t they both just beautiful, I love the one of Alex looking at Chloe.
-
Michelle - The pics are so cute. Glad they behaved themselves for you!
Lisa - Welcome to you and little Makenzie! I remember being amazed at getting to the one month mark....now Hannah is almost 2 months! I can't believe how quickly they grow either. There's always something new each day.
Dee - I used to suck my thumb too as a kid (actually Tim says I do it in my sleep now sometimes too...kinda embarassing!). I've always thought that thumbs are better anyway 'cos you can't lose them, and they're easy to find again when they pop out! Good on you for the positive role modeling with the vaccum cleaner! Hope he's an enthusiastic helper when he's older. Hannah seems to love watching me do stuff around the house. I try to make it exciting for her (i.e singing about it, and giving her a running commentary on what I'm doing and why). I must look pretty crazy doing it.
Hey Belinda! Good to see you! No internet for a week would make me pretty edgy. Hope the sandman gets his act together for you tonight. Re: the cradle cap - I just noticed today that Hannah seems to have some flaky skin on her scalp. I'm assuming it's cradle cap. I've been using QV oil in her bath and I lathered her all over with sorbolene (which I do anyway for her eczema). Fingers crossed it works. Hope Mason's feeding improves for you.
Thanks Nell for your take on dummy use. I think I will limit Hannah to occasionally during the day when she's windy, but I will make sure she doesn't ever use it to go to sleep. I really don't want her making that association.
I'm off to Brissy tomorrow! Yay! Being a born and bred Bris girl, I just love going back to the city. I have a meeting for a community group committee I'm on (It's called "Values in Action" - a disability rights type thing). Another chance to show off my beautiful girl.
I am also going to meet some of the Qld girls and bubs from BB on Tuesday for a picnic/BBQ. I am very excited. Megan - you're in Bris aren't you?? If you can, you should come along with little Finlay!! We're meeting at Roma St Parklands. I'm sure Hannah would love to meet your little man. Check out the member meet-ups thread if you're interested...
Anyhow. I'm gonna go and clean the kitchen. Tim got the urge to make a lemon meringue pie yesterday (he did a great job mind you). I left the kitchen dirty to see if he would clean up after himself. No such luck. I can't stand it any longer so I'm going to clean it myself!!! Have no idea what to cook for dinner....it may end up being a beans on toast night.

Hi all
Just a quick post. Had a good day today. Shami took Erykah this morning so I could have a sleep in. He then brought me brekky in bed. Bless him.
We then went out to a Sri Lankan Cultural festival I guess more for us but we want Erykah to know her roots as she is half Sri Lankan. So all in all a good day. Shame about the weather. Very Wintery here and cold felt like been back home. Came to Oz for the good weather! Not complaining as your winters are way better than ones in the UK.
Hope all have a good night

Hey everyone
Welcome Lisa and Makenzie :)
Juliette: Hope you have a great day in Brissy :)

Otherwise nothing much happening

Hope everyone is going good.
Welcome Brooke and Maya :)

Juliette - Have a great day in Brisbane, I`m sure you will. Yummy lemon meringue pie, hope you enjoyed it, I could do with a man like that, perhaps Tim could give Mark a few tips :D I often have those night where I have no idea what to cook, MIL is here tonight and she brought tea with her so thats one night off this week but I`m sure I`ll still have to cook the vegies.
Jo - Glad you had a good day yesterday.
Belinda - hope Mason settles for you, it makes it hard when they are so unsettled, lets hope it doesn`t last long.
Welcome Brooke and Maya
Matthew has his clinic visit today and well he`s still stacking on the weight, he`s put on 1100gms in 4 weeks 8-[ he is now 7100gms, still on the 97th percentile, length is 62.8cms and head is 41.6cms, still on the 90th percentile for those two. My little big boy seems to be getting bigger, the clinic nurse did say he will eventually slow down but will have another growth spurt soon, he always seems to be on one!!!!!!
Hope everyones well.

Hi All
Another good night for us last night. She is settling back to sleep as soon as she has fed. I am only out of bed 15mins in total she is a quick feeder.
We have been to the MCHN today and Erykah has put on 515g in 2 wks and is now 9lb 13oz. She is 52.8cm in length and HC of 37cm. The nurse is very pleased with our progress.
I went food shopping and spent most of the time holding Erykah as she was screaming. Poor thing doesn't like food shopping. I rushed round and came home without a few bits but managed to get most things.
I have cooked tea for the first time in ages so far I was using up stuff from the freezer.
Anyway off to make a coffee and put my feet up before the next feed.
Hope you all have had a good day and have a good night with bubs.
Jo
-
Welcome Brooke and Maya \:D/
Dee - Matthew seems to be doing very well. IKWYM about them always on a growth spurt.
Juliette - Hope you have a lovely day today :)
Next time you have lemon meringue pie i'm coming round. Not had one of those for ages.
Well last night was a bad night with my 2. They both took turns in being awake. It started around 12.50 and i finally got to sleep at 5. Just so glad Kimberley slept in till 9.30 just a shame Alex did not stay in bed.
I think when ever i give Alex his antibiotics he has a bad night. Some nights i must admit i do forget to give them to him and i am sure that is when he sleeps better. I might test it out then tell the doctor. We are not due back at the hospital until 8th September that is a long time to wait to talk to them about it.
Shannon - How are things going ?? Been thinking of you all.
-
Jo - Great to hear you are having some good nights now. Don't you feel so much better when you have had some sleep.
I had the same problem on Friday when food shopping Alex screamed most of the way round and i had nothing to give him.
-
Michelle - If it does happen to be the antibiotics upsetting Alex are you able to talk to the Dr`s over the phone or make an appointment before Sept, otherwise as you say 8th September is a long time to have to wait You must be exhausted, I hope they both sleep for you tonight.
Jo - Erykah sounds like she`s doing well. Matthew has also screamed a couple of times while we`ve been doing the supermarket shopping, it does make it hard as all you want to do is get home.
Take Care
Deeanne
-
Dee - I might see my normal Dr and see what he says about it. I may give it a week with his antibiotics then a week without and see what happens. I know it means less sleep for me but at the end of the day i will know what is going on.
-
Let us know how you get on Michelle, lets hope you don`t have too many sleepless nights but as you say at least then you will know if it`s the antibiotics.
-
Michelle - often mums know what the case is so it is probably the antibiotics bothering poor Alex. Poor you as well not sleeping! Hope they both sleep well for you tonight.
Dee - yay at Matthews checkup, great to hear things are going well. Matty is 6430gms and 66 cms long now. So I am happy with that. I can't believe that my Matty is smaller than your Matthew - just goes to show how they all vary!
Jo - great about Erykah's check up as well.
Hope all other mums and bubs are going well.
-
Hi Everyone!
Welcome Lisa and Brooke...nice to see you both again! Hope that your baby girls are well..
Michelle - your little man Alex is soooooooo cute!! He looks a lot like his mummy - particularily in the last 2 photos..
Juliette - thanks for the invite to the Brisbane get together...I haven't looked in the thread yet - but I think that it is today! I have a ton of stuff to do today or I would have loved to have met you all. (I am meeting the family day care mum who will be looking after Finlay in 2 months time when I go back to work...) I think that we might have a little bit in common as I also work in the disability field...
Dee - we do give Finlay a dummy. I was VERY anti dummies prior to having a baby, but he really enjoys sucking on his dummy, so we give it to him when he is going to bed. I suckied my thumb and had to have dental work at 12 years old - so would like to prevent this if possible. :) Sometimes I feel guilty about the dummy - but I really hope it isn't doing him any harm??? 8-[ 8-[
Shannon - how's things? Pop in when you can
All is well here, Finlay is nearly over his cold (thank god). I do have a question for you all though - when did your babies start smiling? Finlay is trying to smile - but nothing that I would get excited about yet....
Talk to you all soon
Megan
-
Hi all
Quickly popping in before I go to a friends for lunch. We had a great night again. Erykah woke only once to feed which is a major improvement on 3 feeds the night before.
Just had an email from a girl at my work and she said one of the girls was leaving as she had been told they no longer wanted part time staff only full time. (I think Trish was a temp) but it worries me as I only want to go back part time 3 days a week ( 9 - 3 ) there is no way I can work full time. I am not due back till the end of Arpil 06 and do not need to discuss me going back until Jan 06. I guess I can find another job and not all employers are against part time workers.
Best go will pop in later hope you all have a good day
Shannon hope all went well with Jessalyn
Jo
-
Jo - Have a great day and YAY at the good sleep you got last night. I hope you can go back to work part time next year.
Megan - In your situation I can understand why you`d want a dummy also each baby is different I can see how it would benefit a baby who screamed all day long, I`m a child care worker and most babies that I come across do have dummies, I`m sure it`s not doing him any harm at all. As for smiling, the midwives in hospital couldn`t get over that Matthew was actually smiling but his bigger more 'social' smiles came at approx 3 weeks of age. There is a thread in general baby and toddler discussions which BB members have listed their babies 'firsts', I`d add the link but don`t know how to do it, anyway take a look there it would give you an overall approximate. I`m sure it will not be long before he`s giving you big gummy smiles and laughs, it`s beautiful, it even makes me laugh when I`m up to him at 2.30am.
Shannon - Thinking of you today and Jessalyn I hope the operation is a success.
Nell - It`s amazing how babies do differ, here my Matthew is 2.5 months younger then your Matthew and heavier, your still ahead in length :D Matthew is taking after Mark though, Mark was 400gms heavier and he was on solids at the same age. YAY at Matty`s weight, you`ve been waiting so long for him to get to 6kgs now he`s over it, good on you Matty. Is he doing anything new lately?
I was so excited this morning, Matthew was trying his hardest to get his hand up to touch my face and he did it \:D/ on his third attempt, it was beautiful and he gave me a great big gummy smile and babbled away.
Take cAre

Megan - I have to agree Alex is sooooo cute i just love to kiss him all the time. I used a dummy for Kimberley and she still uses it. Alex sort of takes one but does not get upset when it falls out. I brought one of each kind until i could find one that he would take if you make him have it.
Jo - WTG on having another good night. Hope you have a great day out.
Dee - Well done Matthew on touching your face. Soon you will have mummy say OMG you not in the same place i left you. Wait till you are looking all over the house for him.
We had mothers group this morning still not to sure about them but i will give it a go for a while longer. Alex and Kimberley had a better night last night.
Alex woke at 12.30 then went to wake at 4.30 but put himself back to sleep until 6.30 and he had not had his antibiotics.
I looked at the side effects on the letter i got with them and one side effect is headaches now how would i know if Alex had a headache so my poor little man could be in pain when i give them to him.
Anyone going to the Target toy sale this week ?
-
Brooke - Just before Alex was born they did an ultrasound and found he had a problem with his kidneys. A few weeks after he was born he had an untrasound down and they found he had dialation of the kidneys which meant his wee was backwashing up the tubes and he might have a blockage into his bladder. He then had to have a MCU scan done which they put a cathater up the penis, that all come back normal but so he does not get a bladder infection he needs to take antibiotics until he sees them again in September.
Maya seems to be doing so well for you.
-
Hi all
I have had a great day until I think my period has returned. Is this normal 6wks after birth?? My bleeding from the birth finished 2wks ago.
I was not impressed but my mum says I should get checked out. I am booking in to see the doctor on thursday for my 6wk check so will ask her.
Have a good night all
Jo
-
Where is everybody???? I thought I`d come on to see a couple of pages to catch up on.
Jo - I got my period 6 weeks, 5 days after birth, had bleeding for 1 week, 1 week without bleeding then started bleeding a week later and 9 days later I`m still bleeding, I`m very confused as to what my body is doing now, sorry I`m not much help.
Brooke - sounds like Maya is doing well. I`m not sure if Matthew knows day and night as yet, we have nights of him sleeping 4, 5, 6, 7 or even 9 hours but we never know what he`s going to do. Work asked me if I wanted to return to work this term but I thought Matthew was a bit young to be playing with other children, would like his immune system to develop a bit more before I take him to work with me plus I don`t know how I`d get us both ready and out the door by 9am.
Michelle - sounds like your not too sure about your Mother`s Group, I asked by MCHN about a MOther`s Group and she didn`t know of one, she mentioned playgroup but I think he`s a bit young for playgroup at the moment. Poor little man to think he may have been getting headaches. I`ve been banned from buying anymore toys for Matthew, I know I could sink a battleship with all his toys I`ve put away for Christmas, Mark seems to think I probably could sink 2 battleships LOL I just can`t help myself so instead of buying toys when I was in K Mart I brought some clothes for Matthew, Mark just shakes his head at me :D I`m always spending money on Matthew but never myself.
I was with my younger sister today, she has a 2 year old girl Nataliya, it was Nataliya`s 2nd Birthday yesterday, had a good day but I feel exhausted. When I get a chance I`ll put some photos of Nataliya and Matthew together on Matthew`s website.
Take Care

Dee - LOL @ being banned from buying toys. I have not even started on Christmas yet i will do with the Target toy sale this week.
Looking forward to seeing some new pictures :)
Brooke - It does feel good when you do something for yourself.
Alex's problem can be fixed not sure if he is ok now as his nappies have more wee in than they used to. I guess we will just have to wait and see i bet they will want to do another ultrasound.
Alex is the same with sleeping the longest he goes at night is 6 hours. But has changed what times he wakes up. Alex is smiling so much now every time he sees me he smiles.
-
I got my first smile out of Erykah today. Makes it all worthwhile doesn't it.
I am also banned from buying toys. However what DH doesn't know won't hurt him. I have stuff on layby at Kmart and will do the same at Target. He he.
I also go without and buy for Erykah. She has a whole wardrobe waiting for her to fit into in a years time all bought in the sales.
Hope all have a good night
Jo
-
Jo - Yay for Erykah`s first smile, there will be plenty more to come
Michelle - It sounds promising if Alex`s nappies are wetter then they use to be.
Brooke - Well done on getting your hair done. How did Maya sleep last night.
Well I`ve had 2 nights of 9 hour sleeps out of Matthew WOOHOO \:D/ but my BB`s get so sore that even moving my body hurts them they are so full feels like they are going to explode (imagine the mess I`d have to clean up LOL), I woke myself up this morning because I was cold and wet yep I leaked everywhere.
Hope everyone`s well.

Forgot to say I`ve added more photos to Matthew`s Website - the latest photos are in the July Album, photos of Matthew in the bath with Daddy and with my sister and my neice yesterday

Hey everyone
Just a quick one for now
Had the fisher price swing on raincheck at kmart and its come in so excited that i am getting that today, he really hates being in bouncer as he cant look around down there enough, so hoping the swing will help him with that and my arms can get a bit of a rest.
Glad to see everyone else is going well
And great about Erykah`s first smile:)
Deanne: Yah about the 9 hours sleep but sorry to hear about the leakage waking you up
Shannon: Hope all is well with you and your family, look forward to hearing from you :)
I might go to the target sale but will wait till its quieter, dont like the idea of standing in line holding a baby for that long! He starts in the pram but ends up out and it becomes the trolley to dump stuff in.
Kmart is going to match the price on the leapfrog walker thing though, it was 199 when i laybyed it and target has it for 179 so they will match it on my kmart layby. So better than cancelling and redoing it at target.
I laybyed 500 dollars at kmart and Luke only got two things in that one, so still have to get him stuff and his birthday is 3rd January so have to get stuff for that as well! Hubby reckons all the stuff i got Mason is too old for him and he wont use it for ages, he is probally right, i am thinking of taking some back when i get layby out, they get too overwhelmed at that age if they get too much stuff. But i cant help myself!!!! :)
Well anyway will talk more later
Take care

hey guys,
ive done it again lol going awol..
well we had a great night out last friday thanks heaps to michelle :) we were both pretty crook on saturday though haha, but Chloe was very well behaved and slept for 3 hours while her mummy got a bit more sleep.. it was very nice of ehr to be so considerate..
I hope everyones doing well. we did change chloes formula over to the lactose free and it helped her a little, she did a normal poo for the first few days and seemed easier to settle.. well on tuesday she did another huge dark green poo so we kept an eye on her.. that night she was extremly constiapted.. poor girl was being woken up by pushing so hard (all u could hear was her pushing then few mins later screams) and all day wednesday she was having dry ahrd pellet poos, and the one in the evening was dark green so weve put ehr back onto the normal stuff and if shes not a bit better soon we'll take her to the docs and see what he says..
belmarks, and the other person from newcastle I think deeanne?.. well u might have a new person comming to your area ;) we find out in 2 weeks wether were moving there.. yep.. were moving again, anthonys work place is closing down here so were on the move a year after moving here.. doh! ohwell by the time were finished we'll probly of met every single belly belly member LOL.. maybe we can start up our own mums group when we get there lol..
anyway better be off the lil miss is very grumpy
ill try and make it in more often!

Good afternoon girls!
Had a great time in Brissy. It is good to be home though. Well sort of. DH has been at home by himself for 3 days, and the house is an absolute mess! I don't know how he managed to make that much mess in 3 days! I am too tired today to clean, but will have to get stuck into it tomorrow.
Belinda - I know what you mean about not being able to help yourself at the toy sales! I just put $100 worth of stuff on layby at Big W. All fisher price stuff...I just love their toys. Some of the stuff I got for Hannah will be too old for her too, but they'll grow into it. I even put a fisher price walker on layby! I've just done the opposite of you, and bought a bouncer for Hannah just to give her a break from her swing! I figured it would help her exercise her little legs once she figures out how to make it bounce herself.
Hey Dee! My Mum and Dad wanted to buy something for Hannah at the toy sales, and I suggested the Kick n Whirl Carnival...so we now have one! Thanks for the tip - Hannah's entranced as I write. I like the fact that it can be converted to a toy for an older child too. I'm glad you've been getting more sleep. I can sooooo relate to the sore, leaky BBs when they sleep a little longer than unsual - it's disturbing, but it's the price we pay for sleep I guess!!
Jo - Way to go Erykah! I love baby smiles. Hannah's just melt my heart. You must be so proud! LOL @ you layby-ing stuff without telling DH!! I am the same!! I am sure he'll appreciate it when he doesn't have to fork out hundred's of $$$ at Christmas though.
Welcome Brooke and Maya! Good to hear little Maya is sleeping well for you. Fantastic at her age! Not sure when Hannah actually knew night from day, but she was having longer sleeps at night from about 2 weeks I think? Starting a routine is a great idea. We've done that with Hannah. I don't give her a bath at night though...'cos it's so cold here and we don't have good heating in the house. I just read her a bedtime story (the same one each night), then put on her sleepy music and feed her, then she goes to bed. I tried to do it at 730pm, but she was too awake and grumpy then...it's really trial and error with us. I find that 9pm is best for Hannah...
Michelle - my mother's group starts on Tuesday. Hope it goes ok.... What is yours like? I'm not game to go to the target sale - I already have stuff on layby at Big W, and I bought some stuff at kmart when I was in Brissy. It's just all too tempting!
Megan - hope I get to meet you at the next Brissy BB meet-up. Where in the disability field do you work? I worked at a variety of places in Bris before we went country. I am still on a committee in Brisbane called "Values in Action" (Affilliated with CRU, promoting SRV etc.) Glad Finlay is nearly over his cold. Hannah was smiling social smiles at 3 weeks...check out the milestones thread in the general baby thread...[/b]

Juliette - Glad to see you back. Yay for the kick n whirl carnival, yes it`s great that you can convert it for the toddler years.
Lesley - Moving again, it only seems like yesterday that you moved to SA. Yes I`m the other one from the Newcastle area, I`m not right in Newcastle about 1 hr west in the Lower Hunter Valley area. Whereabouts would they move you to? Poor Chloe I hope she`s feeling better soon it must be awful when they are so constipated.
Belinda - I`m like that too most of Matthew`s toys are too old for him at the moment thats why they are sitting in the wardrobe for Christmas and most likely his 1st birthday.
Take Care

Dear all
Popping in quickly while Erykah is sleeping (doesn't happen often during the day these days) we have been for the 6 wks check at the doctors and all is well.
I was waiting 3/4 of an hour past my appointment time when I asked how long and the stupid doctor had seen the person booked for after me! Not impressed as Erykah had become restless and I got no apology.
Erykah has decided that we need to start the day at 5am now! She is wide awake and won't go back to sleep until 8am. Then only for an hour.
I now feed her at the 10pm feed with a bottle of EBM so she takes to a bottle should I ever need someone else to feed her. She had 70mls in 5 mins then was wanting more so had to put her on the breast. Bless her she feeds so well.
Reminds me I need to express a bit more for tonights feed. I struggle to get more than 50mls at a time at the moment not sure why some days are better than others.
Anyway best go relax while I can
Hope all have a good night.
Jo
