Yeah Jo she's a cutey. Little Sammy has such a great smile too! And what a big boy - Lucie is only 4.2kg now!!!!!!!!
Hey Fletch - yeah I will get off my backside and do a website soon I promise! Hope that DH of yours is back now. Lucie has had a great day today - I hope it continues! Good on you for getting some new clothes. My mum gave me gift vouchers for Myer but I don't want to buy any clothes till I've lost a bit more weight - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!
Awww Fletchie...hope your hubby is back now. Its awful isnt it when they have to work long hours and or be away for periods of time. I hate it too when my hubby isnt here. Its nice just having that extra support and someone to discuss the day with. Well done though for doing it on your own.
I am feeling better thank you. Still have a shocking cough but hopefully that wont take too much longer to disappear. The kids have all settled back into school and me and Sammy are having the school day to ourselves...lots of time for walking which is good...still trying to get rid of this baby tummy..LOL.
Geez its so quiet in here. Hope all you lovely ladies and bubbies are doing well.
Jo

Welcome Kirsty and Gemma...love the photos..she looks like a little sweetheart.
Yaay fletchie on the new car..its so nice isnt it. We picked up our new Jackaroo a few weeks ago and love it!!! Hope it doesnt take you too long to sell your other car.
Well im jealous that I see all your precious bubs wearing little spring outfits..its so darn cold here still. My darling boy is growing out of some gorgeous outfits that he hasnt even had a chance to wear yet..poeey! I hope it warms up soon..i still have the fire going #-o
Talk soon lovely ladies
Jo
Jo - you poor thing - hope you feel better soon. Re the outfits - some days here are so hot Lucie is just in her nappy. We don't have air con so the poor little thing nearly cooks!
Fletch - Ahh you are my new best friend re your comment about being thin! Congrats on the new car - very exciting. Bugger about AF too. I thought mine was about to return too - I had cronic AF pain on Minday but then nothing, and only very slight spotting that started last night. Very weird!
Kirsty - Yay Welcome my preggie buddy! How are you today!
Well I have been crying tears of joy this morning. Not sure if you all know about Lucie's major feeding issues but basically we have had like 4 trips to Emergency, numerous tests and jabs to try and work out why she is so sleepy and disinterested in eating. We've been struggling to get her to take 50-60ml every 3 hours. Anyway paed prescribed Losec (for reflux) which we started yesterday morning (she has screaming fits that start about 6pm each night, but we think it's silent reflux cos she never actually spews - it comes up and then goes back down again). Anyway, my little munchkin ate 170ml this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is sooooooooo huge for her, the biggest feed she's had in her life. I am so happy and really hope we have turned a corner, although I won't speak too soon. [-o< all is well now.
Whooohooo Soph...that is wonderful. That must be such a relief for you. WTG lil Lucie.
Awww Fletchie..you poor thing with AF returning. I never had mine return til the girls were about a year old so Im hoping that stays the same with Sammy.
Jo
Jo - Huge relief I tell ya!
Fletch - Great weight gain for your little man. I know very weird about my AF. I was hugging the toilet bowl the other morning and said to DH 'Uh Oh it better not be morning sickness!'. But surely not!!! I think it might have just been all the stress. Weird though, when I thought AF had arrived last night, DH sounded almost disappointed! I don't want to be pg again quite yet
WTG Zane...thats a great weight! You must be thrilled
fletchie. Thats a good point too with AF returning..you can start ttcing when you are ready. Ibreast fed all my babies til they were 18 months and started with solids at 6 months. I guess I was just lucky with no AF...am hoping it will be the same this time around. Hope your Bp comes down soon.
Wow Soph...that would be a close gap!
Am holding Sammy in my arms now...i should be more adept at typing one handed but hes getting kinda heavy..LOL..so will go for now
Jo
Hi Everyone
Thanks for the big welcome! :grouphug:
I'm doing really well thanks Soph.My c/s scar is healing nicely.I never got the chance to ask how the birth of Lucie went?Obviously your both well!!! :D Its great to hear Lucie is feeding so well now.I had problems b/f Gemma so I can kinda realate to how detressing it all can be.Gemma still doesn't make a complete piggy of herself yet, she downs about 40-90ml of formula at a time depending on how hungry she is and how long shes been asleep. We've let her determine her own routine.Last night she had her last feed at 7pm then bath then bed, she woke at 12am, had 20-30ml sleep till 4am and downed only another20-30ml!During the day is when she consumes the most as she has more awake time.
Well I weighed Gem wednesday this week and she had put on 300gm(in 6 days)! So she now weighs 4.8kg!!!And yet shes not over indulging in the formula! But I guess that is formula for you, full of fat!SHes also outgrown most of her smaller outfits and is now in 000.
I also wish this weight would fall off!Its not that its not coming off its that my body shape has changed.I have this weird jelly belly that doesn't seem to shift no matter how much walking I've been doing!I can fit my old clothes, they just fit weird around my stomach now!And don't get me started on these stretch marks!Arhhhhhh!!Don't know how they managed to cut Gemma out of me with all the fat on my stomach!
OMG Kirsty, Lucie only weighs about 4.25 at the moment! You have one big girl there. Do you find with the formula that you get stressed out about the mls that she has?
And I know what you mean about stretch marks and flabby tum - urrrrrrghhhhhhhh
Jo - yeah it would be a ridiculously close gap! But never fear I think AF is here, just very light. Funny cos I thought it was usually heavy for the first one.
Thanks Fletchie...we think hes gorgeous..hes such a smiley happy chappy. Cant wait to see some more pics of your lil fella too.

Hey Everyone
I'm so pleased with Gemma's sleeping at night at the moment. Her last bottle last night was at 7.15pm, she then had a bath, then bed by8pm.She started to stir at her normal time of 12am, I popped the dummy in and she fell back asleep till 3am!WOW can't beleive she slept that long! Then she was up at her normal time of 6am, which she wakes up at every morning cause thats when Corey gets up for work and she gets cuddles in bed with us before he goes to work.
Soph-Yeh I still get stressed by how much formula Gemma is getting. But I guess her weight gain is a pretty good indication that shes doing fine! 8-[
Ah Kirsty I could do with some of your relaxed attitude - you sound so together!
Welcome Ellissa!!
Fletch and everyone - did a website today, check out the pics. I just got the ones on DH's shoulder developed today and I must say, am pretty chuffed with them!
Hope you are all well. Ahhhhhhh I'm tired today!
Soph I second the emotion off that beach photo! It is absolutely beautiful. What an amazing 'moment' to capture on camera!
Fletch.... what can I say about Zane that you don't already know? Wow! the picture of him at the wedding, on your knee, is really intense.... he is such a beautiful little boy! What a cutie!
Speaking of great photo's.... Jo the shot of Sammy having "Daddy Time" is really special... as is the one of him in the bath playing with his baby boobs :-$ (At his 21st he will say "I'm sure it was just the way I was sitting.... I was so totally buff")
I'm in a panic today because the compact flash card on our digital camera has died.... luckily i downloaded new pics just the other day but i need to take at least 100 photo's of Hunter a day.... what am i going to do? I wouldn't know the first thing about buying a new one (DH is the tech geek) Bugger! Know i will have to whine & make DH go & get a new one when he is so busy he can't think straight 8-[
ps. Welcome Elissa!
Fletch - Zane sure is a cutey! Such a beautiful smile
Melody - Bugger about the camera. We still don't have one! Just been borrowing peoples, but I think the folks might be getting us one for Christmas which will be great.
A very rainy day in Brisvegas today - which is good 'cos it means I've done some housework!
Hello lovely ladies
Geez its a bit quiet in here today isnt it...busy Monday eh?
Welcome Elissa and Makon...wow a month already..doesnt that first month fly by. Hope you are settling into motherhood honey..you sound like a natural...you must be counting down til the wedding eh..not long to go now.
Wow Kirsty..Gemma is sleeping well you lucky thing. Hope she keeps it up for you.
Soph..yaay for making a website..arent they great to have. The pics of Lucie are so cute. We havent taken Sammy to the beach yet...its been too cold..though today and yesterday it is starting to warm up a little so there is hope for warmer weather!
Oh no Mel..what will you do. Im the same as you. I panic if the camera isnt ok. I feel like i might miss out and not capture something sooo precious. Hope your DH can get a new one very soon for you. LOL at the baby boobs...its nice to have evidence to bring out when they are older isnt it. Hows your darling Hunter going? Is he keeping all that gorgeous hair?
Hi Fletch..love the new pics of Zane too..hes growing so quickly. You are right Sammy does look so much older though i think its cos hes bigger too..lol..little piggy that he is. I Love Zanes gorgeous dimples. He looks like a very contented little bubba.
Yvette..havent seen you for a while ..hope you and your darling girls are doing wonderfully.
My darling baby has been sleeping so much today..hes must be tired out after the weekends activities. I hope it doesnt mean we are up for an intetersting night tonight though..lol. Do you find that you are all waking on cue when bubs is waking at night. I seem to wake just as Sammy is stirring dead on 4 every morning. I love how interactive they get as they get older. Sammy can hold a conversation with us for a good 15 minutes now ..he just loves talking and smiling and engaging us...its just so dreamy. Interactive little darlings arent they. And who elses bubs are going crazy at bath time??? Sammy cant get enough..goes absolutely wild in the water. We have legs and arms going every which way splashing here and there. Its gorgeous to watch.
Well i should get going and get some ironing done...hmmmph my favourite thing in the world to do ..not...so talk soon lovely ladies
Jo
Yes I agree Jo - it's very quiet here! Hope all you lovely ladies are ok.
Jo - Sammy sounds just adorable with his little 'chats' and splashes. Lucie loves the bath too.
Lucie had her injections yesterday. She was not happy at all last night and didn't feed very well. But I reckon after 3 injections I wouldn't feel like eating much either.
Awww Soph..poor little Lucie....hope shes feeling better today.
Jo
hi girls

Makon and i are well we had two firsts yesterday! first volcano poo!! it erupted from his nappy all over the sheets on our bed!! so then we had our first shower which he absolutly loved!!

Wonderful Elissa..sounds like you had a big day...gotta love those poos!
Jo
Wow a big pooh Elissa!
Jo - Yeah she is a little happier today.
Well I've decided tonight I am not going to wake Lucie to feed her, just wait till she wakes herself (hopefully!). I think I will be a nervous wreck! Will wake her after 8 hours though if she hasn't herself.
A big HELLO to evrybody, I'm afraid there is just no way I can catch up on all the goss so I'll just start from here.......
Glad to hear everybody is doing so well with their babies.
MMM weight loss??
Little Zac has been to hell & back with that rotton granuloma, to the point of almost having surgery to remove it, but i am soo pleased to say He has a belly button!!!!!!!!!! =D> & a georgous one too!!
it was re-tied when he had his needles done & it swelled up 5x the size & was full of blood & leaking blood everywhere , what a nightmare anyway to cut a long story short , after being in hospital for 4 days when we got home it just fell off!!!!!!
A N D he now weighs 4.8kgs!! \:D/ huge weight gain, thank goodness, cos I think the drs at the hospital were thinking there was major things wrong with him, they did find he had a hydrocele & a hole in his heart, I don't think I could have coped with anything else.
But he is well & still very happy.
Remember when i told you all that MIL died? Well I swear I seen her in Richmond on Saturday, even the kids said it was her, & she was trying to look at the baby, who was happily perched over my shoulder at the time,
how the.. what the....??????????? Maybe she has a twin. Scary!
OK have to go, Zac is awake, I've done that much house work I lost track of time, Talk soon
Awwww Storm and darling Zac..you certainly have been through the wars. Hope that that is the end of any dramas and that there are only good times ahead for the two of you. Yaay on the weight gain though..thats fantastic..you must be so proud of your little man. What a spin out about your MIL...well you know they say we all have a twin somewhere..LOL
Jo
Hey everyone
Storm-Wow on Zac's weight gain!Thats fantastic news!
Soph-I demand feed Gemma and she loves it!She goes anywhere from 2-6 hours without a feed, depending on how hungry she is.In the first week I tried waking her for feeds, but she'd get sooo cranky that I stopped.
Ellissa-hehehe couldn't stop laughing about your post of Makon's first volcano poo!!!!!!
Jo-Gemma has started making different noises at me now too.My guess is shes trying to have a conversation(she is a girl after all!)with me!It must be so cute all the noises Sammy makes!I can't wait till Gemma is doing that!
Well Gemma has started smiling at me!At first I thought it was gas(again)but when I picked her up this morning she smiled at me!She was doing it all day yesterday too, but I passed it off as gas.
Hows everyone else doing?Geez its quiet in here again!I must sign in when no one else does! #-o
Hi Kirtsy. YEap it is really quiet in here. Yay for Gemma's smiles! Still having feeding issues with Lucie - she's still sleepy and not really getting enough, but I'm trying the demand thing too a bit. Seeing paed again Friday so will see what he says.
Hi Storm! Can I ask what hydrocele is? Yay for Zac's weight gain!
Where is everyone else???
Hi all,
Just moving into this 1 month thread - time is really flying.
Does anyone else still have a bit of a jelly belly???? please tell me yes! [-o<
Melody because of your recent post about your compact flash card I am just about to download all of my photo's from mine! - I would be devistated if I lost them!
At the moment we have weekly appointments between doctors, peadiatricians and physio's with Leah's hip problem, she is coping ok with the harness - the physio adjusted the straps today and said that it is improving which is a relief at least she is going through this and it is working. Sponge baths are a pain though I cant wait till I can give her her 1st shower like you did Elli!
amanda
Amanda - Hello! Yes I still have a jelly belly. Saw the ob the other day and he said "this will go in time. No amount of exercise will shift it, but your body will eventually absorb it." NOt sure about the exercise thing though! What is the problem with Leah's hips? Fingers crossed it fixes itself soon!
Ellissa - Forgot to say that Lucie had a shower with me last night and loved it! She was a bit in awe at the spraying water I think. It certainly was easier than bathing her (we don't have a bath in our house, so we just have a baby bath). We'll probably shower her every second night and bath the other nights.
Oh Amanda I just checked out your pics of Leah - she is beautiful!
I have an awful jellybelly, I also have saddlebags on the sides that I never used to have! I'm the same on the scales as before I got pregnant, but I feel so flabby by comparison. I can't wait to be strong enough to get back to the gym for some serious weights exercises, but I'm already being told that I'm doing too much and I have to slow down - and that's just the housework!
Kerrie
Hi Guys
Sorry i have not been around much - busy busy busy!
So glad to hear that all bubs are going well - Zahra is being soooooo cute atm! She is a model baby!
Got my pap result back - it has come back showing CIN III.
I am totally at a loss as to how I can go from a normal smear in January last year to such an abnormal one now. What is even more confusing is that in those 18 months. I was breastfeeding for 9 months and pregnant for 9 also, which is supposedly a time where the hormones that assist abnormal cell growth on the cervix are absent.
I am awaiting the results of a colposcopy and will see where we go from there.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Everything else going well - have lost 18kg now! Woo Hoo! Have to go buy some new clothes!
Must be off - seeya!!
oh thank you thank you thank you!! - im glad to hear im not the only one still with a jelly belly and saddlebags - good to hear no amount of exercise will get rid of it though I was beginning to think i'd have to hit the gym real soon to try to get rid of it phew!
Leah has hip dysplasia in her left hip, which basically means she has a shallow hip socket so the ball doesnt sit in there properly. So the harness she is in forces the ball into the hip joint so the ligaments etc can strengthen and keep the ball where it should be. So at the moment she cant straighen either of her legs they are kept at basically 90 degrees out to the sides, she can move them slightly from the knees down so can do little kicks outwards but the top of her legs are fixed.
amanda
Amanda - Well it sounds like Leah's hip is totally fixable so that is great! Also great that it sounds like she is getting excellent care. Fingers crossed she can ditch that harness soon and kick around like crazy!
Hi Kelli! Bugger about the abnormal pap. Really hope it all ends up being nothing to worry about. Thinking of you.
Kerrie - Yeah slow down - don't do too much too soon! The ob actually told me not to start exercising like crazy anyway, that it was too early. I must admit I kinda liked what he was saying!
It must look like I have no life at the moment. Lucie is sleeping soundly all day today though (between feeds) and I'm trying to do some work on the computer but as you can tell, I'm procrastinating like crazy!
Yep, you're right about the virus thingo Fletch.
I have updated my website - go for a gander if you like!!
Love the new photos of Zane too btw - very cute little boy!!
Hello lovely ladies...all being a chatty bunch today.
Arent those first smiles gorgeous Kirsty...no doubt Gemma will be chatting up a storm for you real soon. I think once they start they love the sounds of their own gorgeous little voices.
Sorry to hear you are still having feeding issues with Lucie Soph..who would have thought gettting bubbies to eat could be so difficult. Hope the paed has some answers for you and hope Lucie starts feeding more.
Hello and welcome Amanda..sigh i know what you mean about a jelly belly..seems to take forever to disappear. You do sound busy with all of your appts. Its great that the physio gave you some positive news today about the harness working..hopefully it wont be too much longer for little Leah.
Hi Kerrie..hows your gorgeous bubs doing?
Hi Kel..nice to hear from you again. I am going to check out your pics in just a sec. Am so sorry to hear about your result. Im sorry I cant help you. It does seem weird that all this could happen so quickly. Hope the results from the colposcopy will give you some answers honey..thinking of you. Great news on the weight loss by the way....goodness you must be a teeny tiny thing.
Yaay for getting everything done Fletchie. It feels great being organised doesnt it. I hate a messy house and not having things done. I went to my first mums and bubs movie today and saw the same movie you are seeing..lol. Goodluck with the poo...Sammy did one right at the end so was good timing thankfully. Its so funny seeing all these mums lined in there with their prams and little bubs feeding and squealing throughout the movie. Sammy has been a few times to the movies so must be feeling an old hand at it now..lol..hope you enjoy it.
Well little boy is calling for me to get him..talk to you all soon
Jo
Just a quickie/thought..... Kel you should put some photos up. 19 kilo's is something to be immensley proud of & I'd love to see a smile on your face :D
Your kids arent the only beauty in the family :)
Morning everyone
Jo - Yeah the feeding issues are a pain in the behind I tell ya! Seeing paed tomorrow anyway so will get an idea of her weight gain since last Tuesday. I kinda go with what he says more than the midwife at the pharmacy or anyone and at least they will be the same scales. If there is no problem with her weight gain then I am happy if she is just a small eater. Will keep you posted tomorrow anyway.
Fletch - Glad someone else has to wake there bubs to feed! I was feeding Lucie every 3 hours but paed said formula is filling so make it every 4. So it's any time between 3 and 4 hours. How is Zane's weight gain now? And how much formula does he manage to put away at each feed?
Kelli - Going to check out your website now...
