-
hi all
welcome to elle and lachlan - sounds like you are having fun together.
yay tegan for lily doing 9hrs last night it sure can make a difference
michelle - can totally relate to dh he sounds so much like my dh, hopeless lol when my hubby is home he just stays in the shed and drinks and smokes oh yes and plays with jay (as he says) really more like supervising, and i end up spending my time sorting the two of them out - they can both be a bit pig headed sometimes. and tell me your secret about the kiddies still eating their vegies - jay only eats potato, and if i am really lucky he might have a pea or carrot, the only way i get vegies into him is by sneaking them in - through all sorts of weird and wonderful ways lol.
lani did ok with the formula - but wouldn't you know it i had heaps of milk at 7pm so i fed her one side then when she came up for air and a burb i gave her the formula - she screwed her face a little but sucked away and when i took the bottle from her she screamed lol so she must like it, she was wide awake when i put her down and i thought here we go it is going to take ages to settle her - she is usually quite drowsy when i put her down, could not believe she just grabbed her dummy and turned her head and went to sleep through to 5am which was good but not as good as the 7 till 7 we were getting before all our problems, i fed her at 5am but she was scratching around her neck were her rash is, she settled well and then woke for the day at 7am so all in all quite good.
i went to the chemist today and got some stuff for her rash hope it clears up soon - i think it maybe a dribble/heat rash fingers crossed it is not food related, i hate having to deal with all of jays allergies, it was clearing and last night i gave lani a rusk whilst i was cooking dinner and it flared up again - so maybe it is that or hopefully it is just the excess dribble she accumulates when chewing on the rusk - hate her to be allergic to something like wheat - would make it so difficult.
well thats my day in a nutshell - won't be back again tonight - home and away, dancing with the stars and all saints - gees i am a tragic, lol

Hi all
Welcome Elle! It's nice to hear things are going well with Lachlan. I am a SAHM also with two munchkins, Harrison (Harry) is 2 and Grace is 3 months.
Had a great mini-break with Stephen. So relaxing, we went to Yeppoon which is on the coast near Rockhampton and we went for a day trip to Great Keppel Island, which was nice except I got really sunburnt. We spent too much money though - I got a reality check when I came home and bought nappies and formula and saw our bank balance!
Great Keppel has one of those contiki resorts on it for 18-35 year olds. I felt so out of place there amongst all the single people my own age! Here's me and DH married with 2 kids and we felt old next to people our own age!
Spoke to SIL this morning. Her DH is being a real a@*hole about her being pg again. When she told him he said "That's bad news" then he went and sulked in his shed for a while then he came inside and actually said to her 'Have you thought about getting rid of it'. I couldn't believe it. So she said to him 'Have you thought about packing your bags, the baby is staying it's up to you if you stay'. So things are not good in their relationship atm. He won't talk to her and is being grumpy with the kids. Grrrr he needs to wake up to himself. I mean really if you think the withdrawal method is good contraception then you are asking for it. He knew she wasn't on the pill and she told him numerous times that she could get pregnant (which was fine with her), but now he is carrying on like she tricked him and it's the end of the world. Financially they are fine, he earns good money and they own a nice home and can afford to support another baby so that is not a reason to be so negative about it.
It just makes me mad, especially that he would suggest getting rid of it. So selfish and insensitive. I just hope he is not this way when the baby is born.
Anyway, that sounds like it belongs in punching bag! Better go organise dinner and hang out washing
-
just saying hi quickly while eliana is watching the tv - she loves the news, probably thinks they are talking to her!! she has been unsettled since coming back from my brothers but a friend did a bowen massage on her so not sure if it worked or not.
i'm trying to get myself into a regular baby group & it's alot harder than i thought - i just want to meet up with mums with babies of similiar age about once a fortnight but not having too much luck so far.
anyway hope all your gorgeous babies are thriving :D

HI Girls,
Just a quick one as I have to do tea!
Welcome Elle and Lachlan!
So glad you had a relaxing time Bon! Just imagine this: Arron and I are 30 with 4 kids, so we definetly wouldn't fit in up there, although it sounds really nice LOL! Your poor SIL, hope things settle down soon for her.
Michelle- not sure about the reason why the kids eat vegies, so I can't really pass any magic cure to you, wish I could though. Good signs for Lani, hope it lengthens out for you, 7am is so nice!
I know there were others but I can't remember them,
I am taking Jemma to hve her finger xrayed tomorrow, and then going to stupid centrelink to hand them a stupid form AGAIN (as you can tell I am not impressed with them at the moment). I have to by a 3 yr old bday pres and I am taking my cousin along to help with the girls, should be an ok day, lunch out so can't ask for much more I guess.
What night is Medium on? I need to watch that.
Anyway jessica needs feeding, gotta go
Cheers Michelle
-
Hi everyone, I hope you're all well and your bubbas too.
Michelle, medium is on tonight @ 8:30 (now). I hope you don't miss it. Is it good. I used to be sooo jealous of Patricia Arquette's boobs. They looked so good in True Romance they almost stole the film.
-
Hi Everyone!! Just thought I would pop in before I hit the sack. Have been working from 6 til 2 or 4 depeneding if I have been doing more overtime so 4:30 wake ups for me!!
Past few days Liam has been waking up with me but this morning he didnt and had left before he woke up. Well was Daddy day today and screamed all morning until DH bought him down to my work for lunch. DH tried everything. Bonjella etc no go. As soon as he saw me he was fine. He is getting so clingy lately. He is fine if he knows where I am but I think he got a shock that he didnt wake up this morning and I wannt there.
Will try and catch up with personals on the weekend. Hope everyone is well!!
-
HI all
Dasch you wouldn't believe it but I missed Medium, Mum, Dad my Brother SIL and Niece turned up, couldn't hear so turned the telly off and missed it. Arron and I are both spewing. We really liked it.
Spiddles- I used to hate leaving when the kids were in bed, but at least you get lunch together. I went to a meeting at Jordan's school last night and she was so excited to see me when I got back, it surprised me too. Arron tried to put her to bed 3 times without success, but I walked in and put her straight down and she slept. Clingyness is sort of nice but can be a prob sometimes.
Anyway going to bed too.
See ya tomorrow
Michelle

Hi everyone! Welcome Elle, look forward to chatting with you! Bon, glad to hear you had a good mini-break, hope your SIL is going okay. Hope you had a good day Michelle, and that Jemma's finger is okay.
Kaleb had his needles on Monday, he did quite well, but was really sleepy for the rest of the day. Bought some baby Panadol, but the pharmacist talked me out of using it - I don't think he needed it anyway. Then had his 2mth check up on Tuesday, going well, now weighs 5980g and 61cm long. Told CHN about his questionable daytime sleep habits and all she had to say was try controlled crying - hmm, not sure I want to do that, after all, isn't he far too young yet?
-
Hi all,i havnt posted for ages! Too busy, tired and all that! Plus when i reply to any topics it wont email me back that there has been a reply.Fustrating.
Anyway,Beth as far as i have read controlled crying begins at 6 months. However i use some of the principals of it such as when millana cries in her cot i never pick her up if she cries.I just go in and stick her dummy in and dont talk to her.I f it doesnt work aqfter 15min i ususally pick her up comfort her and then try again. It works for me and i dont have any problems putting her down.Millana is the type of baby that will cry before she falls asleep and too much handling and she gets cranky.
One thing i cant do and that is get millana to go to bed at 730 -8pm instead of 6pm.She will sleep usually from 6pm to 1am at nite, have a feed and then sleep to 4am.Most times she then comes into bed with me.If she went to bed at 8pm she would sleep through im sure.Anyway gotta go and show millana off to mum and dads friends.Catch u all later.
-
hi everyone, I hope you're all well.
Yasin had his echn visit on tuesday. He's 63.5 cms and 6.6 kg now. He seems to get really hungry in the evenings even though I've done my best to increase his supply so she suggested that instead of giving him formula which can interefere in breast feeding I try a bit of rice cereal instead. He's only a week off 4 months so I guess it might be worth a try but he seems so young for solids. We tried a bit yesyerday mixed with ebm, once he started to understand what was going on he seemed to quite like it although he dribbled heaps out. After about 3/4 of a teaspoon he'd had enough, since so much went on him instead of down his throat I geuss he ate about 1/2 a teaspoon. Maybe I should just express a feed in the morning but I always seem to forget or not have the pump assembled and if I don't express just after he's had a feed I don't really get a letdown and if he's fed there's not alot left over for expressing.
Its been a big week because as well as his first solids he's started rolling from back to front. He's been rolling from front to back for a while now so now he can roll both ways. I'm so proud of him.
Beth, Good to hear that Kaleb handled his needles so well. Yasin is due for his next needles in a week and I think the cat is due for his as well. I think that you're right about him being to young for controlled crying. Maybe if you post a question in the baby/toddler forum you might get some ideas to work with. I noticed Pinky McKay browsing around there and advocating massages for all and maybe she's right.
Michelle, bummer at missing Medium. I ended up watching it and it seemed ok so I'll probably get hooked. I hope that Jess's finger x-ray went ok,was she really interested in being able to see her bones. I remember when my brother broke his arms when I was a kid we were both fascinated by the x-rays. Your Dh sounds a bit like mine sometimes. Out deal was that on days when he works he needn't help with the housework, just spend some time with Yasin and on his days off he helps in the house but he seems to have forgotten the part about helping on his days off. His mum waited on him hand and foot so he just drops everything everywhere and expects it to be tidied up. He's beginning to adapt to the concept that things don't just clean themselves by magic but he's got a long way to go. I have a real bee in my bonnet about women who don't get thier sons to help in the house. The way I see it if we all make our sons help out then we all ensure that our daughters get properly domesticated hubands.
Spiddles, ugh at the 4;30 wake-ups. I get them too but I have the luxury of being able to go back to sleep afterwards. I geuss he must be going through a bit of seeration anxiety. I was talking about it with the echn the other day, supposedly it helps them form relationships when they are older, I can't remember why.
Bon, i'm glad you enjoyed your holiday. Its funny how having babies suddenly makes you feel so much older. I hope your SIL's Dh gets over himself soon.
Mel, lol at Eliana thinking the news people are talking to her. I hope you find a good baby group soon.
Michelle, I'm glad that Lani likes her formula. I hope her rash clears up soon. Yasin has developed this wierd habit of putting his finger in his ear when he eats and sometimes whne he sleeps and he keeps scratching it up with his nail. No matter how short I cut it it still scratches. I can take it out when he eats but when he does it in his sleep its harder. So now he has little scabs inside his ear and he keeps scratching them off. I don't know what to do about it and forgot to mention it to the echn #-o
tegan, I hope DP did well at his interview. Yay for the long sleep. i think Yasin is on the verge of sleeping through. Some nights he does and some he doesn't.
Hi Elle and Lachlan, welcome to bellybelly.
caddie, its good to see you here. Its nice to know that you're ok even if a bit busy and tired.
Sorry to anyone I've forgotten. Blame it on baby brain!!
-
Hi girls just popping in to say to mel pop by the local members discussion forum in QLd and ask about playgroups...there are a few of us that go to some and Ambah & I go to the same one, the bubs are different ages, but I find hanging out afterwards & chatting helps.
-
Hi Everyone!! Hope everyone is having a good weekend!! Was so glad for the sleep in!!
Michelle - Liam has a rash around his mouth too! Am thinking its just from all the saliva and he keeps chewing on his hands and rubbing his face. Have put some zinc and caster oil cream on it and seems to be clearing up. If it was a food ash it would be more than just around his mouth wouldnt it??
Dacholtar - Yay for Jasin!! Hope the solids solve the hungry issue!! The grow up so fast!! Liam's at the trying to crawl stage now. WIll not stay on his back allways on belly moving arms and legs!!
Michelle - GRRRRRRRRRRRR @ Centrelink!! How's Jemmas finger??
Bon_W - Yoour poor SIL Hope everything work out ok for her. That is absolutly discusting what her DH has done. Glad you had a great holiday!!
Liam is still being a sook and all he wants is me. Went and picked him up from daycare yesterday and could here him crying as soon as I walked in. The girls were trying to confort him and as soon as he saw me again stopped. Hopefully this stage wont last too long!!
Have updated Liam's website again. He is getting HUGE!! Is in 0's at the moment but I think he will be in 1's soon because of his height.
Sorry for those who I have missed!!
-
Oh don't get me started on women who don't teach their sons to help around the house! Have issues about that too Dachlostar!
What a boring Saturday, I think I better get myself out of the house today. With DH working away I seem to spend more time at home, probably because when he is home it is easier for us to go places because there is one adult per child!
-
Spiddles Liam is gorgeous! He is a big boy but it suits him, like he is just the right size for him.
The other day at immunization clinic (I took Harry to get pneumococcal catch up) I was talking to a mother sitting next to me and I was looking at her lovely son thinking 'he must be here for his four month needles' so I asked her if he was four months and she said "no he is 8 weeks!" I felt a bit bad but she didn't mind, I mean he was seriously big, bigger than Grace who is about 2 months older than him! Breastfed too, she must have some wonder milk!
-
Bon,
LOL at the 'wondermilk' - I think I am a supplier of the stuff, 'coz we get raised eyebrows of disbelief when I tell peeps that Keenan is four months old. He's pretty big.
Spiddles,
Liam is one handsome fella.
Dasclostar,
Hope the rice cereal works for Yasin - it didn't work for Keenan, but I think it was just that our timing was out - he doesn't really seem too interested in the 'hungry' part of eating as he is in the 'action/going through the motions' part. Good luck and I hope it works for you.
Hi everybody else.
-
spiddles, liam is cute.amazing how quick they grow.
I too have updated millanas photos.just 3 new ones. She is sitting on my lap making a meal of my hand.It feels horrid but allows me to type a quick message. She is also starting to hold her soft toys.So cute.Last nite at 3am she had a feed and it took me an hour to get her to sleep. So am a little tired .Gotta feed her as she is now screaming!
-
Awww at all the new photos. The babies are all growing up soo quickly !!!

-
hi everyone
ahh see what happens when you don't come on for a few days - i won't do any personals as i am bit busy.
lani still has her rash but now it is going down her arms - she itches aroudn her neck like crazy - no rash around the mouth just around her neck and down her arms - just took her to the chemist and have some antil fungal creams and powders and am going to start her on qv wash. i have a feeling it is exma (sp?) but they say it could just be viral or food allergy - it is really just a guessing game so now she just has her pumpkin in the late afternoon and rice cereal in the morning she is not liking the bottle that much only drinking 100mls and then finishing the boob - i have put her on nan formula as i have a friend whose bubs is on it and i can always give her the tin if it is unsuccessful. lani is still waking in the night but i just give her a feed and she settles in a couple of minutes however whilst i am feeding her she itches around her neck - if it is fungal (and i pray it is) then i must continue with the anti fungal cream for at least 1 wk after it clears up - then hopefully i will start reintroducing some other foods. dunno might go to the doctor and get an allergy test done though and put my mind at rest - although she is going around middle of next mth to get her needles so i may wait till then - i guess it is just a guessing game and watching game - i will keep an eye out for any temp or any unusual behaviour - lets just hope she is a hot bod baby and will be prone to little heat type rashes
have a great weekend
-
HI all
I had a laugh too Bon at the wonder milk, there was never any wonder milk coming from me (I couldn't brfeed to save my life) but my first 3 were all 90th percentile. Poor Jess is sitting on the 50th percentile, and Yasin is about the same size as Jessica now Dasch, and she is 5 and a half months.
Hi Caddie, good to her all is well, hope you satrt getting more sleep soon.
Well no good news for Jemma I'm afraid. The middle bone on her left little finger has the top part bent back, so it isn't broken right off, but leaning back, which is why it hurts so much when she knocks it on stuff. So we are of to Children's hosp on Mon morn for an orthopedic surgeon at the fractures part, to take a look, worst case scenario appears to be surgery and a pin inserted, which is general anasthetic stuff, I feel so bad as it has been 2 and a half weeks since she did it, and it has been broken all that time. I took her to the drs after 1 week and he said not to xray.
for another week as he didn't think it was broken and I feel terrible.
And Monday is her 2nd bday and she has to go to the hosp, poor darling.
Spiddles, poor Liam wanting his mummy, but don't feel bad or guilty, you need to do what you do to give him things and that's all there is to it. My eldest got just as much love with me working.
Yes Arron was a waited on son, never made his bed, put his clothes away, worked around the house or did a dish in his life, and his mum even left a coffee cup on the bench for his morning coffee with a spoon of coffee and 2 sugars, so all he had to do was put water and milk in it (get that!) He has done so much around the house in the last 7 yrs compared to what he did his whole life. The training never stops, and Dasch you are right, we just need to train our boys to help out.
Arron has been working today, and rang to say he wanted to go out, but I am not going to Taberat or the pub cos they are crap so who knows whether we will go any where, plus I was thinking of getting MIL to mind the kids next week so we could go to the Vic dinner at the German rest. Any other Melb people thinking of coming. Post for details is in the member meetups forum.
Anyway going now, sure there is housework to do.
Best wishes Michelle
-
Hi everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your weekends. Mine was really boring. I had a big arguement with DH on friday night because I told him I won't be visiting his parents for a while. We didn't do anything much today or saturday which was kind if nice.
I have been feeling a bit guilty about starting Yasin on solids so early but tonight he gobbled it all up so I geuss that if he wasn't ready he would be spitting it all out or refusing it. I'm still hoping to limit it for a while and keep trying to increase my milk supply
Bon, LOL at the wondermilk. I could do with a bit of that round here to save me from the solids drama.
Michelle, I hope that the anti-fungals work on Lani's rash and its not an allergy.
Spiddles, I hope Liam's rash clears up soon too. Its really very sweet that he's being a bit of a sook and wants his mummy and as Michelle says you shouldn't feel bad becasue you're a great mum and you're doing what you have to to provide the best you can for him.
Michelle, what a bummer for poor little Jemma. grrr at the Dr for not getting an x-ray done sooner. I wish someone would leave a morning coffee out for me!!
-
Bon, dont feel bad about that, Aidan is b/f and very big and I am never embaressed but proud of myself and him for being able to get the hang of b/f, as we all know it aint easy to perfect it! I bet that woman feels the same.
TMI warning, but Aidan still has lots of snot from his cold, poor little munchkin! He also has 'sticky eye' (blocked tear ducts) in both eyes but it doesnt seem to bother him.
Other than that we're doing pretty well, although I am STILL recovering from the birth. I have been to the doctors twice and have been told I dont have an infection but I am still just healing, but it has been 9 weeks and I am still sore??!! The doctors just told me to have salt baths, and that hasnt really helped. Any suggestions? It is very sore both ends, if you know what I mean!
Jess
-
hi all
hope you all had a good w/end.
dachlostar - sorry bout the argument with dh - we have them all the time too - mainly over how much my dh drinks etc etc - typical male. don't feel guilty about the solids - lani still has her pumpkin at night and now apple in the morning - i feel guilty i am trying to get her to drink the bottle for her last feed - but she has got me twisted round her little finger and drinks around 100mls then fiddles and farts around till i give her the breast - cheeky monkey - i still enjoy feeding her but i want to her sleep longer through the night like she was up until what is it now 3 yes 3 weeks ago - arh 3 weeks of getting up again couple of times a night yuck.
michelle - sorry about jemma's finger the poor little mite hope she feels better soon - will it need to be plastered? if so maybe they can do the plaster in her favourite colour and you can draw faces on it so she can have her own little finger puppit.
jessica - bummer about aiden's cold - lani to has sticky eye now in one eye - i hate it. have you tried the fess nasal drops and sucker thing for the nose - they are great. sorry no idea about your soreness hope it gets better soon.
well took lani to doctor yesterday as the rash had spread all over her back and was red hot. she has a virus and around her neck a tiny bit of exma (sp?) so basically i got some cream for her neck - and amazing that is just about gone and nothing for the rest of her - so i now wash her in qv wash - no more bubbles fo her and i just use sorbelene cream to give her a little massage at night - my poor baby used to smell all pretty with the other lotions and potions - ah well looks like i have a little girl with pretty sensitive skin. doctor does not believe it has been caused by food - hooray but am still just leaving her on pumpkin and apple till it completely goes and as for the formula he says what i feel - i drink heaps of milk so if she had an allergy to dairy then it would have come through the breast milk anyway - so fingers crossed she does not take after her brother with his allergies. anyway i say the dr is spot on as today she has sticky eye so have been bathing it in salt water and squirty booby milk into it when she is feeding - poor little thing ends up with milk all over her face, and today i feel yucky a bit of a scratchy throat so i guess we have the same virus. so hopefully all these little dramas will cease soon and she will start sleeping her previous 12hrs at night - i suspect tho she is very thirsty at night and it really only takes a few minutes and she is settled.
sorry for the epic - am going to 3rd tri now to see what is happening with all those babies due soon
see ya
-
Well the news is all bad for our birthday girl Jemma. The finger needs to be operated on this week as it is already 19 days since it happened, so I am waiting on the call to tell me when! They have to cut the back of her finger, realign the bone and then wire it up and she has to have it plastered for 3-4weeks. I feel so bad for her and am sort of blaming nyself too that it has taken so long. We'll have to buy her some nice goodies when she has it done. The finger puppet sounds like a terrific idea Michelle.
Poor Lani not being well and you coming down with it too is a bummer. But at least your dr knows what he's talking about.
And poor Aidan, Jess, and you too, I hope things improve quickly for you both though I have no ideas for you, sorry.
Sounds like arguing with DH's is in the air, We are arguing heaps too about time out and who gets it and who doesn't.
I went shopping yesterday, spent $150 and laybyed $140 and was really plesed to be buying size 8's again, since just last October I was in 10's. Got cool pants, jeans and also trackpants and jumper, and a bargain top for $2.98. Also picked up curtains for both the babies new rooms for $59 a pair x 2, and was just rapt.
Jemma's bday today so we are having the rellies tonight, am waiting to see SIL as she went to the school last fri when Josh and Jordan were in class, told the office girls a whole pile of **** (that it was one of their bdays, that she wouldn't get a chance to see them and that she was leaving to go to Melb in a few mins-all lies and it was Jemmas bday and she doesn't go to school) and got them to let her into their classrooms at 12pm. I told the office today not to let her do that again as it disrupts the kids, esp Josh in the prep grade, so we are gonna have a go at her tonight.Jemma got a dollshouse and furniture and playdough and clothes and 2 carebear books and has more coming, oh and $15. She has loved her bday this year and so have we
Anyway hope everyone else is well
Best wishes Michelle

Hello girls,
sorry for the long silence. Got to Australia alright - the flight was really good, Wolf slept most of the time, but started coughing on the plane. It got worse and worse when we got here and Tuesday I headed to the doctor and it turned out Wolf had cought bronchiolitis at the pediatrician in Germany when we went for his shots. ARRRG! He was quite sick but is on the mend now. Still coughing lots but at least he is interested in feeding again and not sleeping all the time any more.
Michelle, so sorry to hear about Jemma's finger being busted. :( poor little munchkin. Hope you get a nice doctor and she won't feel a thing.
Caddie, I love the photo of Millana holding that soft toy! So cute! It's amazing how quickly they grow, isn't it? Wolf is not holding soft toys yet but he was given one of those Zany Zoo chew books and he holds the handle of it and chews on the rings on that. Also constantly grabs his muslin wraps and shoves them in his mouth. He does not seem interested in his soft toys for some reason.. dunno... maybe that'll come in a while.
Will post more regularly again, I promise. Sorry for no more personals - there were just so many posts!
Love

hi
michelle - just wanted to wish a happy birthday for jemma and so sorry she has to have the surgery - she will be ok tho. try not to beat yourself up on it don't blame yourself you were not to know. i have issues like that alot the guilt factor, i actually put jessie into time out the day before i found out that something serious was going on with her - she would not pick up her books and toys and i was frustrated and home alone with the kids and got really angry with her - am so glad tho i never let the kids go to bed with me angry we had a big cuddle etc etc but gees i still feel the guilt come especially now with lani when she cries one part says be tough let her cry a little but the other part just says no way they are way to precious. sorry going off track here - am rabitting on as we are coming up to the 3rd anniversary of jessie's death - 3rd march so i am a bit of a basket case at the moment.
snowgirl - glad to see you made it back to oz safe and sound boo hoo on wolf getting so sick - glad he is on the mend tho now - enjoy the warmth.
dachlostar - saw a very weird message from you before in another post about the lines on a hpt - is there something happening 8-[
-
HI Girls
No news yet from the hospital, so I am trying not to tie the line up incase they ring, so just a quick post.
Michelle I know you are right, I can't blame myself, it doesn't change anything, but I really feel sorry for her having to go through this, although she prob still would have had to have had it even if it was picked up straight away. It must be very tough for you and DH at this time and I send you cyber hugs, the pain never really goes away does it!
Dashlostar what are you up to, I must find your post. Hmmm! is no. 2 coming so soon?
Anyway better go
Michelle

hi all
arrhh what an awful day. i started off good thought will take jay to kinder (8.30 start) then go and do a bit of shopping for neice's b/day present with just me and lani - so that was nice and peaceful but all hell has broken out at home since i picked up jay at 12pm firstly heaps of dishes on the sink to do, pumpkin for lani to make, lunches to make 3 loads of washing to be hung out and the rest bought in before i can hang them out and ironing to do, as we were out lani only had a few catnaps so she is tired and cranky - jay hurt his finger outside just a little cut so he is whinging - then he makes "something" WITH MAPLE SYRUP" so that has gone all over the floors which i only mopped yesterday, then i try and settle lani in her cot for a nap and i thought i would clip her dummy on the chain so she can get it if she wants - i make sure i put it way down so it doesn't accidently wrap around her neck and put it near her belly - well she started screaming you know the cry when they don't make a noise then boom they scream - i thought what the hell is wrong then i realised i have clipped the dummy on her top but it also clipped onto the skin - we are then all in tears i got a cold face washer onto it and she seems to be ok now - it is only on the surface but my god i feel absolutely terrible - ds is constantly saying mummy why did you do that i keep explaining it was a terrible accident - she has settled now so that is good - poor little mite she has now gone to sleep - don't know for how long but i better go and do all the jobs now if i can - oh and also make the beds my gosh it is 2pm - i think it will be take out tonight
michelle = hope things are ok with jemma - is the op on today or are you waiting on the hospital to call to let you know when you need to go in.
see ya

Oh Michelle sounds like you need a break! Poor Lani. I have zipped Alana's finger in the zip of her sleeping bag. She didn't cry for to long, but I felt terrible. Also big hugs for Jessica's anniversary. I will be thinking of you.
Michelle Happy Birthday to Jemma! Thats sad news about her finger. Hope her surgery goes well and she has a quick recovery.
Snowy hope Wolf is feeling better.
Well as for me I totally stuffed my back last Monday. Its why I haven't been able to post. DB has had to do everything. I could not even feed Alana until yesterday. I even had to get my Mum around every day at 6:30am to feed Alana, because I couldn't lift her. And if I wasn't feeling crap enough, I got a stomach bug on Tuesday and spent the whole day throwing up, until I got to my Dr app and he gave me a injection to stop the vomiting. But over the stomach bug and the back is 100% better. The house was such a mess. Couldn't stand it any longer and just had to clean it yesterday, even though I was told to keep resting. I feel okay though.
Alana is doing well. Though we seem to be having problems with her feeding. Her first feed for the day is fine, but the other three have become a struggle. We feel as though we have to force her bottles down. Hopefully its just a phase and she will start drinking properly again.
I haven't gone through all the post that I have missed, so hope everyone is well.

Haven't posted in here for awhile sorry!
Lily is doing great! She's smiling, laughing, cooing, 'talking', and is able to lift herself into a sitting position while laying in my lap, amazing for a 2 month old!
Jess, i'm still prettysore/tender from were i tore still. I just think because it was a pretty bad tear (you had 2nd degree right?) that it takes a while to heal up completely. I'm not all that bothered by it except i'm still to scared to DTD coz it is sore. Maybe you can get a second opinion from another doctor?
Snowy, glad to hear from you. Oh no at Wolf getting bronchiolitis! Hope he's gets better soon. Glad your trip back to Oz was good.
Spiddles, Liam is just gorgeous!
I too have put photos on Lily's website if you haven't yet looked.
Sorry, I know i've missed heaps of you. I hope you all are well.
Take care,

HI girls,
Sorry I missed you earlier Snowy, hope WOlf is feeling better soon and glad you had a good trip. How'd your DH's job interview for London go?
Michelle- what a day, we have them too, with 4 kids in the house, which is even worse when Arron isn't here. Lani will forget all about the clip incident and at least no real harm was done. Isn't it funny how a day can take a nose dive, from good to terrible so soon! LOL
Welcome SUsie and Dominic (and the girls too). I have 3 girls and a boy too, but we have DD, DS, DD, DD. So Joshua thinks he was really ripped off as the pattern didn't continue and the boy was next. Your Dominic is going to be on spoilt little boy with 3 big sisters LOL.
Well no news from the hospital. I am just wanting it to be over, hope they ring tomorrow, I might ring them tomorrow arvo if I don't hear anything.
I had my appt with the Prof guy who will do my gastroscopy and if I pay $150 on the day I will be in in approx 4 weeks or I could wait 2 mths or more. I opted for paying as I need it done. (Thing is I have been very naughty and have taken up smoking again and he believes/knows that I should stop and this thing will get better- my plan is to go buy patches this sunday and not try to will power it as I usually do, cos I am really crap at that). I asked heaps of questions and am comfortable in knowing all I need to so that makes me happy.
I had a crap arvo as I had a blue with SIL and then MIL walked out in the ****s, I will go to the punching bag tomorrow to tell the story as I can't be bothered now, plus if Arron comes in he will carry on and I can't be bothered listening to it.
Lara- so sorry to hear about your back, how terrible, I hope you recover quickly. What would we do without our MUM's? Jessica is also off her food but I think it has something to do with teeth as she has a runny nose, is saturated constantly in dribble and has really yuck nappies.
And Jessica waved yesterday, and trying to get a pic of a waving baby is very hard I found out, when I clicked her hand was always down LOL, but thanks to the digital camera I could check, delete and try again.
Anyway gonna go and rest my back, I have really bad computer posture, prob another reason why my back is so crappy.
Hi to everyone who I missed
Best wishes Michelle

Hello girls,
ouchie on clipping Lani's skin with the dummy-clip. I can imagine you must have felt terrible. I bumped Wolf's head in the hospital (he squirmed and I didn't have a good grip due to the caesarean and he bumped against the plastic basinett) and I felt so terrible. Stuff like that happens, I guess...
Michelle, thanks for asking re. the interview. It went well. He's got a video conference next week with one of the companies and the other one is pursuing him as well (but decision maker is on skiing holiday atm). It all looks very promising .. yeah!
Got my hair cut yesterday. Courtesy of my in-laws. I feel like a different person, I hadn't been to the hairdresser in 14 months...
Welcome Suzie!
When I woke today at 4 a.m. to pick up Wolf for his night feed, he was lying sideways in his cot! I definitely had put him down properly, so I guess he turned on his own accord. Smart little bugger! He is also rolling onto his side a lot. I'm sure it won't be long before he rolls on his belly. When did everyone's babies roll on their bellies??

Hi all
have a nice rest Michelle, don't miss us too much, and lets hope some of themn girls do have some babies soon, the suspense is killing me.
Snowy- that is good news, fingers crossed things work out the way you want them to. I too need a haircut, I might book it for next week.
The hospital rang this morning and now they are not going to operate...they are going to take a look at it in 6 weeks and there is a 30% chance that they will operate within 12 months. It is bc her bones are so small, and they are hoping it may correct itself, fat chance though, the finger is really crooked. It was hurting her last night as she tried to do a headstand fell to the side and twisted it..I tried to explain that no wonder it hurt, but it won't stop her from doing it again next time.
Well I put a patch on today and so far I haven't felt like a smoke, though I have thought about it, the killer will be when rron comes home and goes out for smokes, then I know I will be wanting to go to, but I really need to quit now, so send me strength vibes please.
Talk again soon
Michelle

Hope everyone is having a great week!!
How cute is eveyones new photos!!
DH has been sick all week and only went back to work today!! Glad Liam and I havent had it. He still isnt that well and he is hardly eaten and lost 2kgs since monday *lol* Wish I could do that (but not bring sick) Took a PG test as havent been feeling well myself and no AF and has been nearly 2 months since stopped breast feeding but got a BFN. Donno how I would have coped if I was again so soon!!
Sorry to hear about Jemma's finger Michelle. Hope everything turns out fine!!
Poor Lani!! Hope you're not beating yourself up over it. When she starts walking and crawling alot worse things will happen I bet.
Liam's got bad nappy rash ATM. Maybe his top teeth are coming through or its the dodgy nappies they use at daycare since he has been all week since DH was sick yesterday. Didnt cost me any extra cause I had a make up day!! Have you girls seen the comp huggies are running|| Pooh tunnel. New I kept those huggies boxes for a reason. Have 6 barcodes for nappies so only 4 to go and 1 more for baby wipes!!
Have a good one guys!! Sorry for those I missed!
-
hi everyone, I hope you're all well and so are your bubs.
Spiddles, I hope Liam's nappy rash clears up soon. I'm a bit excited about the Pooh tunnel too. I have one nappies barcode to go and one wipes one. I noticed that they seem to have one every few months so I've kept a few barcodes just in case. Did you get the newborn playmat? I did a preg test the other day too. I felt really queasy and dizzy all day and kept needing to wee. The last time I felt like that I was pregnant and I realised that going by my pre-preg cycle my period was late. I got a really faint positive but then I checked again the next day and got a negative. DH was really disappointed and demanded a 3rd test which was negative again. I was a tiny bit relieved ansd a tiny bit disappointed. 8-[
Michelle, The clip incident sounds traumatic but Lani has probably forgotten it already. I was dragging Yasin around on his rug last week and DH distracted me as we were going past a desk so he got a little bump. Lucky we don't go fast. What games do all you girls play to keep your babies entertained. Sometimes I feel like Yasin must get a bit bored with the same things over and over but maybe I'm just imagining it.
Snowy, I'm glad your flight went well and yay for your haircut. I really feel like I need one. I haven't had one since before Yasin was born. I'm not too sure about what to do with Yasin while I'm getting it cut. I geuss I'll have to ask DH to look after him because my hairdressers is kind of cosy. I hope that everything works out with your DH's job. Yasin started rolling from belly to back at 2&1/2 months and back to belly at 3&1/2 months. I think that usually they do it the other way around so Yasin must be a bit confused.
Michelle, congratulations on your first day without smoking =D> =D> =D> . I'm sure that once you have got past that milestone you will find it easier as time passes. Poor Jemma, I hope that her finger doesn't hurt her too much while she waits for the hospital to get thier act together.
Susie, welcome to you and Dominic. I hope to see more of you.
Iris, you sound like you've really been in the wars with your back and a tummy bug!! ugh!!!
Jessica, I hope that everything starts healing up soon. I remember the sore itchy feeling and I wish I could recommend something other thansalt baths but I can't. Maybe if you ring the midwives at your hospital they might have more of a clue than your Dr. After all they probably see more tears than your Dr.
I haven't seen Jessica (orkids) around for a while. I hope she's ok. Probably just busy I geuss.
We have been busy rearranging the flat. I moved a big Afghan rug and discovered that its run a bit and stained the carpet #-o I hope that it comes out when we get it cleaned. Its still only half done so things are a bit chaotic. I have a filing cabinet under the computer at the moment and it has to go because I'm sitting at a funny angle that just isn't working for my back. owch

Hey Michelle, good on you for quitting smoking! Just a bit of inspiration for you, my mum had been smoking since she was 14, so 37 years, and she quit 2 years ago by using the patches and gradually cutting them in half every few weeks. She hasn't had a smoke since!
-
just catching up on what everyone has been up to!!
i have been away again staying at my parent's on the sunshine coast - i love the break & of course eliana loves all the extra attention. she is now holding onto her feet & blowing raspberries which looks so cute plus she has finally taken a dummy - no more night time crying!!
hope you all have a great weekend - we are off to surfers :D

Morning girls,
It seems to be quiet all around Bellybelly. Even the third tri girls aren't talking as much as usual.
Well last night I had this ache down my left arm right into my fingers, and the patch was on my left shoulder so I took it off, but I didn't have a smoke. I put a patch on the opp shoulder this morn so we'll see how that goes. Arron was going to patch up this morn but didn't, so he is making it hard, but I am determined to not give in this time esp if it can help my stomach probs. My throat feels terrible at the moment and I am not able to take meds as you have to be off them for the gastroscopy, so I am in discomfort. Enough whinging though!
Jessica's nose is running like a tap and she keeps chucking, which is really disgusting. She is trying to get up on her knees, but can swing around on her belly and get around the lounge room pretty quickly now. We only have 5 days until she is 6 months old, BOO HOO! I don't want to go there! Nothing wrong with the girls there, just that means my baby is halfway to being a person.
We all went swimming last night, Josh has lessons so we went 30 mins early and Arron took Jemma in and Jordan swam with some girls. But I ended up in the water in my boardies, in the beach area, as Arron had had enough, not the plan at all. Jessica dipped her legs in and she loved it too. I am so glad I waited to put Josh in swimming lessons, as he has caught on really quickly and listens to the teacher, which he wouldn't have been able to do 12 months ago.
Arron had some guys from the footy club over last night to play pool and I felt like a prisoner in my own house. They were in the rumpus, Arron turned off the TV when I left the lounge for a min and so I missed The Amazing Race. I ended up going to bed and the "NOT LATE" night turned out to be after 1am. And he had heaps to drink and stank of smoke, I was annoyed, cos then he wakes me up. Jessica sooked from 4 till about 6.30, on and off, so I was up and down like a yoyo, and then he wanted me not to wake him up at 7.30 when I was getting the kids up as he was tired. BAD LUCK BUDDY! He shouldn't have stayed up so late.
I too have noticed some missing girls, Jess and Pee and haven't heard from Beth or Rose or Carmen. Hope all is well with al the MIA girls. I guess life is very busy for most mum's (and Dad's) and finding time to get on is hard.
Thanks Tegan for that news, inspiration is something we all need. I have smoked on and off since I was 16, so 14 yrs, and I smoke more now than I ever have as I am home. Most people don't even know I smoke including my parents and all the girls I worked with. Closet smoking is pretty strange esp when you get to be 30, but I was happy to do it that way as I smoke less cos I don't smoke around all people.
Spiddles- bummer about the nappy rash (literally), and hope Dh recovers without you or Liam getting it. The weight loss sounds good but yeah you don't want the sickness too.
Mel- you guys are always having a great time, hope you enjoy your trip to Surfers, I think I need to get away too. Eliana finding her feet is cool, I love it when Jess sucks her toes, it must feel wonderful to her.
Anyway I will prob come back later
I may need a break.
best wishes mIchelle
