Wow we are a quiet bunch atm aren't we?? LOL... just got back from playgroup & Matilda is asleep... ahhhh....
Been feeling better. I have this nasty cough that people tend to walk away from, but we're getting there. Matilda's all good now. No signs of illness, woohoo!
-
Hello?? Anybody home LOL!!
We've had a PJ morning around here, then I went shopping for food & gave Matilda her morning tea during the shopping (bacon & cheese bun) and on the way home she started nodding off!!! Only an hour or two early & no tired signs at all...but she woke up when we got home so I tried to feed her lunch with no luck so I put her to bed. Hopefully she'll have a good sleep. I've done the dishes, mopped the floor so now I might need my second shower of the day and have a rest myself. I'm starting to feel human again LOL!

Hi Girls
I have been flat out. Have hardly had time to scratch myself. Got our wireless router today for our laptop, so soon we will hopefully have two computers net connected YAY.
I think i have just about lived at Playgroup this week. Been busy pricing stuff for the major garage sale tomorrow. I have to go back in half an hour and do some more. I was meant to have had helped but they have cancelled on me ](*,) So I have just about done it all myself. Our shed at playgroup is chockers with crap, you can hardly even get in there. I think the Salvation Army or whoever will appreciate all the clothes though, as I have found from previous garage sales myself that clothes hardly sell.
Next week will be spent getting my house up to scratch for the surprise 60th birthday party I am having on the 13th.
Anyway should go, Andrew will be home in a jiffy and then I have to load the car with stuff I want to sell at my own stall tomorrow, and take it in.
Oh speaking of cars we finally get ours back today 4wks and 1 day after the accident.
Love
-
WooHoo at getting your car back Kathryn. Has that been 4 weeks already. It only seemed like 2 weeks ago.
-
Glad it felt like two weeks for you LOL. Felt like 10 bloody years for me.
Well I am now talking to you all via my laptop YAY. God I love technology, and I love my car which looks brand new after the respray :D
Anyway Andrew is out cleaning his parents car so we can take it back tonight. I don't wish to hang around there though as his mum has a cold or something, so I really don't want myself or the kids coming down with that with our busy week coming up.
Love
-
Wow, everyone has been so busy. I'm really sorry to hear that some bubs are still sick, and I can't believe that Matilda can get out of her cot! That's very clever, but very impractical! Sorry I can't offer any advice, but I hope you find a way around it soon. We're thinking of putting Charlie in a bed before bub comes, so I'll have to ask YOU for advice before long!
I'm really sorry that I haven't been posting. I haven't checked any forums or emails all week and there's just so much to catch up on. I will try to write a bit more, and more personals later if I can, but I just wanted to apologise for being a slack forum buddy. The morning sickness has been worse than ever this week, and I've had to go to the doctor for a shot of Maxalon to stop the vomiting. I hope it eases soon - I want my life back!
Charlie is doing well, although the iron fell on him the other day and he got a burn on his leg. No matter how careful you are things can still happen so quickly. I felt like such a bad mum.
Anyway, will write more later if I can. Hope you're all well.
-
oh no Kellee about the iron!! I would have felt awful too, although Matilda's pulled the iron down a few times ](*,) ... DH now irons his shirts in the old playpen LMAO...
Well she hasn't gotten out of the bed at home yet, but we have an electrician booked in for next week before we go on holidays to get a ceiling fan installed (because of the dangers with her other fan & sticking her fingers in, and we just happened to have a new ceiling fan in the back room waiting to be installed there...) The rocking chair is now out of the room & the oil heater...so its just getting another cupboard that locks to store the toys in and we should be set. I just don't want her to pull all her toys out when she should be sleeping. I don't mind her pulling out her clothes & nappies etc, but I want to keep sleep time, a no toy event LOL
-
Hi Girls.
Well I am totally buggered, after the garage sale today. I made just under $50 personally which was okay since I only had a car load of gear, and the Playgroup made just over $60 so they can finally pay for the swing I have had sitting her for x amount of months. Kindy did really well and came close to around $400 in sales I think, they also had a sausage sizzle and drinks for sale too which got them just under $100.
We've had a friend at home all day today doing the gardening for me as I just wont get a chance in time for the birthday party next weekend. So I gave him some money for his troubles. He might actually be sleeping the night if his parents allow him, because there is meant to be big storms around 3am -- FINGERS CROSSED ;)
Love
-
Yay for the garage sale. Kathryn! I love those. $50 is pretty good. Did your storm arrive? Thank goodness for getting your car back too - I know, it really sucks when you don't have your own. Someone ran into DH while he was driving last week (after much hassle it was established that we won't have to pay anything, thank god!) and I'm just putting off getting it fixed because I really hate not having the car.
Also, welcome to Bel - sorry I didn't say hi in my last post - it had to be quick last time and I didn't have any time for personals. Sorry to hear that Janae hasn't been well - I hope it is shortlived.
Not much to report today. I am feeling a bit better, so I hope it lasts for a while. Tomorrow Charlie and I are going to visit some friends at Bribie Island for the night. It should be really nice - I want to take him down to the beach for a little splash. Of course, he could be a scaredy cat like his mum and not want to go in the water at all, but we'll see. It will be really nice to get out of the house - with all the sickness that we've all had in the last few weeks I'm really tired of the sight of these four walls! The break should do us good.
Anyway, hope you're all well. Will write in a few days.
-
Kathryn sounds like the garage sale was a success =D>
Well we've all had turns of the vomiting bug this last week (it wasn't too bad, but DH is convinced HE actually got bird flu, not some piddly little virus).... of course he did, the poor dear.
So I haven't been around much, but will try to catch up on all the news today (after a thousand loads of towels, nappies etc which all have to be scraped off and disinfected first EEEEEWWWWWWWWWW! Sorry Kellee, should have warned you that was coming up.
Have a good one, girls.
-
Morning Girls
Well it is absoloutly hammering with rain today. I am tempted to ring and cancel myself going to playgroup. The girl that would take me usually if it is raining isn't going and I really can't afford to have myself or the kids get a cold as we have a very busy week coming up. So just in two minds at the moment. I will see at 9am and then decide from there. Usually I am getting ready and about to leave at this time.
Kellee - Yep the storm arrived about 10 hrs after it was supposed to arrive LOL, wasn't that great though.
Well I hope everyone else is well. I should get the kids breakfast etc.

Hi Girls, still around, reading all your posts but too tired to reply much. Nausea easing up to the point that I'm wondering whether I have another blighted ovum :-s Feeling down because I'm feeling like everything is just too much bother and I don't have any support, especially family-wise. All mine are interstate and DH flatly refuses to consider moving. Yet he will winge when we can't go out b/c of sitting issues (his family are of no support). Across the street a pregnant neighbour has her mother over every second day to help out with her two sons. Guess I'm jealous is all. I'm really close to my sister and she has two little kids that I know she needs help with too *sigh* Men just don't seem to get it. You need family around you. We are going up to Tamworth to be with my whole extended family at Christmas. My sister and her family would have just moved into their gorgoues brand new home (DH also winges that we have to live so meagerly but that's the price we pay for isolating ourselves in an expensive city)... I just hope he gets it one day... It's making me feel really down, even to the point that I'm thinking it would be for the best if I have a m/c because I really can't keep on doing everything alone. It just makes me so angry though that he has all the leverage because he's the breadwinner. He always says "I wouldn't enjoy working in a country bank as much as I do here"... oh? ok then if that's your priority then... *sigh* sorry for the downer. At least my kids aren't sick though I guess, should count my blessings.
-
Aww big :hugs: Bath. You are so right though Men simply don't get it !!! ](*,)
Well I never did end up going to playgroup I was too buggered, the boys didn't mind so that was good. Been busy with starting to put things away for the big party this weekend.

-
Well I am glad that everyone has been too busy to post, cos it saved me reading for 8 pages and then trying to catch up.
Kathryn- yay for getting the car back, and hope you have recovered from the weekend. Sometimes you just need a stay home day I think. How'd the pergola come up? Sounds like you have much the same weather as us atm!
Christy- hope the fan installation went well, and Matilda may not climb out of her cot now for ages, hopefully!
Kellee hope you don't feel too sick for too much longer, and bummer about your car too, I hope you have a good time away.
Christine- how terrible for you all to be sick, you guys had done so well to avoid it too. I guess everybody gets it sooner or later.
Well Arron's bday has come and gone, he got socks, a power/light, fishing mag subscription a level and tools to go with it and some after shave, plus money and vouchers. My brother was a **** head and didn't turn up on the night and he continued to be a **** head for the few days afterwards (I will go to the punching bag at some stage and ***** about it). The we had more friends over on Friday night and then Little aths on Sat. Sat arvo i got stuck into the front garden, took all arvo to do 1 long garden, so will have to get to the others later. had house cleaning sunday and dinner at mum's and was buggered last night.
I had Jess weighed today and we have finally made the 9kgs mark, and she is 75cms tall. So still litlle but that was a gain of 400gms last month so I am happy for a change! I was planning a trip to Ikea today, but as the HC took so long I had to give it a miss, it will take an hr to get there, so instead I am planning to go tomorrow, did ebay stuff at mum's today instead. Jemma was totally naughty today while she was at mum's her and my niece were up to mischief all day and they trashed the toy rm too. Lucky me got to clean it up bf I went home!
Better go, I have to dress Jess for bed and later I am going to try save some pics onto the memory stick I brought! I have 860MB of photos on my computer, almost 1/4 of the total memory, no wonder I have no space left!
Hope everybody else is well
Michelle

Hiya Mitch :)
Pergola came up good, but we have had 26mm of rain in less than 19 hrs and the gardens etc are not coping with all the water so we are having a small flood and the water is running all into our patio LMAO. I said to Andrew so much for a $5000 pergla, but our yard does look like a lake at the moment from all the rain. So it has to go somewhere *sigh*
Woohoo at the weight gain too. I really must go get lachlan weighed and measure one of these days. Actually he is up for an 18mth check up with the GP I keep forgetting about them, and I used to do it spot on all the time with Kameron LOL.
love
-
Kathryn I sympathise with the flooded pergola that happens here too. It has ****ed down rain all arvo here and there is huge puddles out he back.
Arron hosed the pergola yesterday as he has to do another coat of sealer on the spraypaving and it smells terrible cos of the stinky dog. Have decided if we ever get another dog when Kobi goes to heaven, it will be a tiny little thing!
Cheers michelle

hi girls
i'm back after 2wks of coping with kids with gastro arhh - dh has it sort of now - just really queasy and tired, i tell you i better not get it. sorry to hear you have sickies to at your place bon and misty, i so hear you on the washing - i am absoultely sick to death of washing towels and bed sheets, and i was washing them twice including once with dettol on hot water - anything to kill the germies.
good to hear everyone is doing well and yay to jessica on her weight gain.
i also have a minor woohoo re lani's weight gain - she was weighed today and yes she put on 810 grams in 2mths even with not eating for a week whilst she was sick, so she is now 8.8kg and 78cm - going to be long and lanky that one lol - she is so similar to your jessica michelle.
and she has 9 teeth - 7 have been out for a while and 8 popped through the gum today and when i was playing around with her whilst changing a nappy she was laughing so much i saw something up the top at the back of her gums and stuck my finger in - ouch sharp little molar got me, she must of cut that one whilst she wasn't well.
still on the ttc journey - af due on friday at the latest, not holding out much hope this month as with the sickies i was to buggered to dtd, plus all i could smell in the house was disinfectant - nothing like a bit of pine o clean to set the mood.
anyway going to read up on the goings on and will chat again soon
-
Hi everyone,
Harry is better now thankfully, michelle good to hear things are better in your house, hopefully DH doesn't have it!
Took Grace to the child health nurse yesterday, she weighs 9.6kg and is 78.5 cm long. I actually thought she might be a bit heavier than that, but she just feels heavy! I remember Harry was 12 kg at 12 months, he was a heffalump.
I am planning on making a christmas cake sometime this week, I am doing it early because we are moving on 19 December and I won't get a chance to do much at all except unpack and clean before xmas day. Our chrisco is coming on 14 December so except for the cold stuff I won't even unpack it because we are moving only a few days later. I won't even have a christmas tree up until we have moved because there is no point doing it then having to pack it all up to move. But at least we are spending christmas in our new home!
Bon
-
Ooh Bon your Chrisco comes late. Ours is arriving Nov 30th!! I would rather your late date :)
Love
-
I would rather your date - can we swap? LOL
Bon
-
LOL I was going to do crisco this year! but we are going to the US for Christmas so I thought maybe next year... :)
-
Well girls I've offically started packing. Its so hard to pack for 6 days with a toddler & travelling on a plane... ack!! I'm going crazy. Plus I don't have heaps of shorts etc for Matilda, so I've been doing the washing furiously hoping it stays dry up here!!
We went to the Dr yesterday to discuss sedation for the flights as Matilda is still tantruming EVERY time she gets strapped into anything. And while we were there I put her in the pram & it was the massiveist tantrum anywhere, she was on the kicking & slamming her body around, and got tangled up in the straps so I undid them and she was throwing her body into things & the Dr just kept talking to me while it was happening about her behaviour and what he would do if it were his child etc etc... and then he said he thinks sedations a great plan especially for America, but for Sydney too!! So after yesterdays massive 20 minute tantrum she slept for 2 1/2 hours. We bought the stuff, but are hesitent to use it. We decided last night we would give her a half dose and see what happens so we will have an idea when we go to America what is going on. At least she had the tantrum so he could see what she was like. I don't mind the tantrums at home, its just when you are on a plane with all the other passengers & having to have her strapped to one of us that I mind.
Anyway...better get this load of washing hung out & keep going....I will stop by again before we leave :)
-
Good luck Christy!!! Hope your DD deals with the sedatives okay... good idea to test them out before you get on the plane! We've put off flying this year because of the departure taxes being so high but I'm kinda relieved because I get really flustered when my children annoy other travellers (people are never sympathetic... although if I was next to you I'd probably try to help!) We're driving interstate instead and are in for a noisey trip I just know it! Anyhow, all the best, look forward to hearing all about it when you return! :)
-
Urgh Christy. I hope she is a good girl for you guys and you don't have to sedate her, but at least you have them just in case. It is better to have them and not use than not have that option at all iykwim.
Goodluck with the packing it was bad enough going 4 hrs by car and not knowing what to take LMAO

Hi all-
Just popping in to say hi- we've had more sickness here- not sure what happened up to last time but Ryley and i have had tonsilitis I was in hospital with terrible gastro- Ryley also had a chest infection...
this list goes on and on. :( anyway enough of my whige- Ryley is 81cm and 12 kilos now- much more of a boofer than your gorgeous little girls in here (Lani, Grace and Jess!!) Bon sounds like Harry and Ryley are both heffalumps! :)
I also need to add- Hi my name is Pietta and I am a patchaholic. Pumpkin Patch has come to a localish shopping centre and i have already spent over $100 in there- $50 today on sunnies, shoes and a hat for Ryley- ahhhh but they are so cute.
I hope you dont need the sedatives Christy- good luck!!
Big cuddle Bathsheaba- Sometimes it takes men to have something bad happen to them to realise when something isnt working- it's stupid really isnt it! Sometimes i think they genetically have a self absorbed gene. My DH told me today I can buy Ryley as much as I want at PP as long as we get his x box (which he has had since sunday for his bday) modded. It alwasy relates to them... Hugs for you.
Mooshie i hope things start settling for you. I KNOW how terrible this round of gastro is.
Bye for now- i need to study on biological psychology for an exam- how much fun does that sound!! :)
Oh and also I had a preg BT and I got a BFN. Maybe next time...
-
Wowee Pee it sounds like you have had your hands full with all the sickeness plus trying to study as well. LOL @ being a Pumpkin Patch a-holic too. Thankgod we don't have one close to us.
What a crap day it is currently hammering down with rain outside. I am meant to have stuff delivered for the party on Sunday as well and I need to tidy up outside ](*,) Ahh well they will just have to work around it. We definitely do not need this rain though. We had soaking rains the other day with some places receiving over 100mm and alot of areas are in flood. All of our dams and reservoirs are 100% or over full. it rained so much the other day that our local brewery had all their christmas display wash down stream. One man opened his front door to see a blue whale (from the display) go swimming by.

Hello girls!
Just poking my head in to say "Hi" and see you in 11 days. Wolf, my mom and I are flying to Japan tomorrow and are coming back Sunday night before Wolf's 1st birthday, so my next post in the Baby & Toddler Buddies will be in this group!
Good to see plenty of familiar faces. :smt039
Christy - I don't envy you flying to US. I am worried enough about flying with Wolf and being 26 weeks p/g (though luckily my mom is there so hopefully she can do rounds of the plane with Wolf).
Chat to you soon!
Snowy
-
OMG Snowy, already? Hope you hav a good time in Japan, and will see you on Wolf's 1st bday.
Kathyn I pmsl at the whale thing, that would have been a sight! Hope the party preparations are coming along.
Christy- at least if you do sedate matilda you will be able to relax too! Hope you have a wonderful trip! What exactly was the dr saying he'd do if Matilda was his child? gotts love the advice some people give!
Bath- hope you are well. When is your drs appt?
Michelle- thank god the sickness has passed! Did you get to Oaks day? It's quite funny how close Lani and JEssica and Grace too by the looks of it, are in weight and height. Jessica is the shortest though, poor dear must take after her mummy!
Well I am stressing about xmas being so close, I'm sure that I won't have enough money to pay for everything! Laybyed arron's pres today and not sure how I will find $350 (a BBQ). Oh well, I will just plug away. Plus after xmas we have a wks holiday which is over $800 for accomodation and then actual money while away and we have to pay off our dishwasher end of Jan, it's so much fun isn't it?
I am going to sneak off to bed now and prob flake it in 2 mins LOL
Hope everyone else is well
Oh almost forgot Pee- LOL at patchaholic, good luck with the exam, how many more? Hope your sicknesses are all over and good luck for ttc next time. Probably will happen once exams and xmas is done!
Best wishes Michelle

OMG @ you joining us Snowy !!!! Time sure does fly. You have a fantastic trip and a great birthday for Wolf.

Hi everyone. I will try to do the personals thing, but I’m really sorry if I miss anyone – it’s been a while since I visited and there have been lots of posts!
I wish I could give you a big hug, Bath. I hope you’re feeling better. It’s really hard being pg and having to look after little ones, especially with no help. How about I come and visit you and give you a hand for a while? LOL That would be nice. I hope your ms is easing and that DH comes around and realises that he is not the only person in the family.
Hey Kathryn. Yay at your pergola being up! That would be so cool. Damn the rain. I hope it doesn’t do that everytime you have a storm. Mum and Dad had some tiling done in their patio a few years ago and the idiots that did it laid them so that they sloped IN instead of OUT and now every time it rains their patio floods. Gggrrr. LOL at the whale thing. That’s very funny!
Yay for Lani and Jessica’s weight gains! Poor little Lani – I’m glad that things are looking up at your place now mooshie. IKWYM about the teeth – I think that Charlie’s immune system goes down when he gets his teeth which means he catches everything that’s going around. I think that’s why he got sick a few weeks ago because after he was sick two little teeth just popped right up. Maybe the same thing happened to Lani? Glad to hear that Grace is feeling better too, Bon.
Hey Christy – I hope all goes well for you and Matilda on the flight. I really take my hat off to you for doing that! I don’t think I would cope very well with Charlie on such a long flight!
Pee, I hereby forbid all sickness from coming into your home. That’s just too much to deal with in one hit! Yay for Ryley being a heffalump. Charlie’s weight is somewhere along the lines of the girls’ I think – not like a little boy at all! I think he’s more like 10kgs, but he’s a bit older than Ryley. Oh well, they all grow at different rates, don’t they? I’m not worrying too much about it. And you need to go to a PP Anonymous meeting I think! I make sure I never go in there, even for a browse, because I don’t trust myself! And good luck with the exam – I had to defer mine because I have been getting bad ms and haven’t been able to study. Although that’s exactly what I’m supposed to be doing now… oh stuff it.
Also, hello to Snowy. I don’t think I’ve met you yet, but I look forward to chatting with you soon.
Well, not much to report here. We went away to Bribie for the night, which was lovely. Charlie kept giving the cat and dog lots of cuddles, and he slept well which was good. Shame I didn’t though! I’m sleeping badly (anyone else get that while they were pregnant? Any ideas? It’s driving me nuts!) which means that every few days I totally crash and need to stay in bed all day. Gggrrr. Apart from that we’ve just been taking it easy. Except for one rehearsal on Sat, DH and I have the weekend free! That’s almost unheard of at our place so we’ll be making the most of it by doing very little. I’m supposed be studying for my deferred psychology exam (which is going to be sometime in early January) but this is much more fun! Actually, what I SHOULD be doing is learning some songs for a gig I’ve got with a friend of mine at the end of Nov – because I’ve been crook I haven’t even LOOKED at them yet! Maybe that’s what I’ll do. That’s more interesting than studying anyway.
Right, well I hope everyone has a lovely weekend (good luck with the party, Kath!) and I will try to write later.
-
just popping in quickly to say hi - cause i can! my baby is one - hard to believe & i wonder where the year has gone to - anyway just saying hi - have had a busy day today & tomorrow is the big party!!

*slinks in*...
Hey there girls... 8-[ Sorry for being so awol again...
Welcome to Melbee and Snowy, and anyone else I have missed!
Christy - hope you're having a great holiday and that Matilda wasn't too much trouble on the plane.
Melbee - Hope Eliana has a fantastic 1st birthday tomorrow!
Pee - Sorry to hear that you guys have been so sick :( Goodluck with your exams!
Yikes Michelle, at least you know what your getting DH for Christmas, I havent even thought about it yet! LOL
Kat - PMSL at the blue whale floating down the street!! :smt043 Hope your party preparations are coming along nicely!
Well last Saturday I sat the STAT test to help give me a score for uni entry... so I'm just hoping now that I did well. It was pretty challenging, but I did well on the practise tests at home, so am hoping that I will get a similar result for the real one... [-o<
Not much else happening here... still going to the gym every day. And still eating far too much for all the excercise to be having any effect, LOL
Aidyn's speech is improving every day now and he is really trying so hard to say new words, but a lot of the time he just gets SO frustrated at not being able to communicate. He is going through a pretty grumpy phase actually, where he in whingey and clingy... I hope it passes soon!
Tomorrow may as well be a week day for me cause DP will be out all afternoon and night getting p*ssed at a work BBQ.
But I suppose I will have my turn next week when I go to Melbourne!! YAY! I am SOO excited!! :D
Sorry for missing anyone with the personals! 8-[
-
Just a quick one to say HI MEL! Can't believe your gorgeous girl is one already! How time flies. Welcome girls!
-
Welcome to the new ladies!! I can not believe that Wolf is ONE!! My goodness- mind you i cant believe Ryley is 14 months :(
We're doing a bit better here which is great!! We have found out that we will probaly have Ryley in day care full time next year which is great considering we have to work and go to uni 3 days a week plus try to study and have a life!! His centre is awesome and the waiting list is 1 and a half years so i am glad we have got in.
It was DH's bday last Sunday and mine on the 25th so we are having our birthday party tonight. It is Austin Powers theme- DH is going as the pimp Austi from Goldmember and I am going as a 70's chick. I couldnt find any costumes to fit :( Damn size 20 body!! I will add some pics to my site next week. I am going to have a blonde afro, black flares, and i love my outfit. DH has a red white and black zebra type striped crushed velvet suit with a same colour hat and a fluffy shirt and a huge $ sign around his neck!! It'll be great- plus we dont have to pick up Ryley until midday on Sunday!! =D> =D> =D>
Good to hear your going to the gym Ambah- i hope to is fun!!
Take care all!! Talk to you on Monday (post hangover!! LOL)
-
Hope you have a lovely party Pee.
-
Ooh Pee, sounds like you are going to have an awesome party!!! Can't wait to see some piccies! :D
-
thanks everyone for the welcome - the party went well & she had a great birthday - loved unwrapping all her presents & we took her to southbank for a swim after playgroup & eliana loved the fact that she could crawl around in the water - im still finding it hard to believe she is one & of course cried when everyone sung happy birthday to her!!
will catch up with some personals soon - i really should be putting all the stuff away that we had to take to the park for her party plus i need another room for all her presents!
-
Melbee glad to hear Eliana's party went well. SouthBank is great for kids' parties, isn't it!
It has been quite dark and gloomy up here on the Coast today, and there's another big storm rolling in now (hope the computer doesn't get hit by lightning 8-[ )
Ambah how is turkey town going? Hopefully the chicks have hatched and they've all "left the building".
Hi to all the new Mums who have joined us. Good to see you here :D
-
Hello all!!
Well the party was brilliant!! You can see a small snippet of the pics on Ryley's website- i need to update on my www so here it is for now-
http://www.babiesonline.com/imagegal...e=r/ryleyisone
Once i have updated i will erase this and lead all to my www!!
I am sure you will think our costumes were pretty funny :)
