Hi everyone,
I am very sleep deprived I knew if I mentioned the "S" word it would all fall in a heap. I woke last night thinking that it was 5.30 am but after having Eliza smile and try and play realised that it was only 12.30am erghh must get bigger hands on my watch.
Tanya hope your trip to the doc's is sucessful
Deb Can't wait to see the pig in action.lol I have to preten to be jolly jumper and then sometimes she still won't laugh lol
Sarah: good luck with the injections, mums are always the best to take.
Trish:Tehya sounds like she is loving eating solids, I am dying to give Eliza something she monches away pretending to eat.lol
Fi: Hope Jenna has done the poo business, Eliza was so much happier lol
Ohh gotta run off to a girlfriends for lunch and I have to "make" the slice at the shops.
Have a great day!

* WAAAAAAAHHHHH *
I hate needles :( Did I mention that?
LOL at the chocolate bread Deb, that's pretty funny! You should see all the stupid things I do to make Zander laugh, Aaron thinks I'm a complete nutter!
Oooh good luck with the solids today Tanya. Let us know how Violet goes... Yay at turning her seat around as well, we have to buy Zander a new one very soon.
LOL at "making" the slice at the shops Bec
Needles were horrible. Like last time Zander was ok with the first too but screamed the place down on the third one. He screamed & held his breath & was strating to go purple it was the worst thing I have ever seen. I'm dreading the next lot in another 2 months, I might make Aaron take him for those ones!
As for all of the other stuff..... Phil (our Dr) says that the ECHN is mad, he can see the tears in his eyes, they just don't come out yet - no big deal! We are now putting him back onto the Losec twice a day for the reflux for another month then weaning him off it again. I was a bit worried about that but apparently once he stops taking it it goes out of his system - nothing permenant. Ummm, oh yeah the sleeping thing. Phil says he is happy to give us a referral for a sleep school (BTW it was the nurse that refused last time not him). BUT he said that it a "symptom" of the reflux & no matter what we try, while the reflux is sticking round there's no much we can do in that department. It makes sense I guess because if he has a sore belly & is feeling sick he probably doesn't want to lay in one spot & sleep. Phil said to try for another month with his sleep & the revised dosage of Losec to see how we go....
Phew, that was longer than I expected sorry guys!
-
Sarah - sounds like Dr. Phil is a logical guy! Gotta love his name, LOL. Does he have a southern accent?? ;) Hopefully Zander's reflux will settle down soon so that he can get some sleep. It's good that your mind is a little more at ease about his tears etc. Sometimes I wonder if MCHN's just want to make us worry about things more than we should! Hopefully the needles today will zonk him out for the night.
Bec - LOL - I "make" the same slice as you ;) Bugga about your horrible sleep last night.
Tanya - Gab does have pinchable cheeks :) Everyone comments on them. For all her chub in the face, she is still pretty skinny under the clothes. Sorry to hear that Wato is sick too. Oh no @ Em doing a poo on the couch. You seem so relaxed about it! No point in stressing, I guess. Yay @ Violet's car seat being turned around. I can't wait for Gabby's to be turned around. I hate her facing backwards and I don't think she likes it much either. I think I will give it until she is 6 months then that's it. The sun blares through the back windscreen and blinds her all the time. I hate it!
Dropped in on Fi today and Jenna is getting so big! I got some grrreat smiles from her. She is one happy little bubba! Hope you managed to get some sleep today, Fi! Thanks for the little thankyou note. You are one organised chook! I haven't even bothered with thankyous. I can't remember who gave me half the stuff that we got (not that I didn't appreciate allll of it... just can't keep up!).
How is everyone else doing? Scarlett? Nell? Kayla? Zola? Trish? Nat? The 50 other people I have forgotten.
-
Welcome Simone and Declan.
Don't you love those giggles
Hope you enjoy your time here.
-
Welcome Simone and Declan - details all added Simone. :)
Sarah - I hope Zander is okay after his needles, Sounds like you gp is on the money. Did he reassure you? Saw your photos - very cute Zandxer is. Such a lovely smile!
Tanya - poor Em, I'm assuming no nappy? Hope you are feeling 100% soon. He has red cheeks alot. I actually get them myself alot. Sometimes I think the teeth are coming (like today - eekk what a day we had today) but I can't see/feel any.
Bec - lol at your making the slice from the shops - great way to make it I reckon!
Deb - treasure this time! Gabby sleeping/playing/feeding well.
Trish - great that Teyha is eating her solids so well.
Had a yucky day today, Matty screamed the place down at mums group, he may be feeling me being upset as my aunty passed away last night. She did have cancer but it's still so sad at the same time. Mum and dad are in Queensland on hols so they have to come back early.
Not nearly as devasting is that my wisdom teeth are giving me so much grief. Went and had xrays done and have to find out tomorrow when all 4 are coming out. I am so looking forward to getting them out as I can't handle this pain!
Hope all are well.
-
Hi all,
Thanks for teh comments re Jenna's poos - she is back to 3 a day! Dont ya just love it? Her cousins have come down from Canberra this week, and they are SOOOOOO clucky, so I will have a completely wound up baby by the end of today. Lots of cuddles. Oh well - the girls are teenagers, and I guess they never thought they would have baby cousins, and so they are lucky with Jenna and Maia (their other cousin).
Nell - Ouchy on the wisdom teeth. I only ever got 2! 8-[ They were impacting, and so were removed before they came through about 10 years ago. It was horrible as they were just little babies, so it was full general for me. Hopefully yours wont be as bad since they are coming through - they dont have to dig around so much for them. How sad about your Aunt. I'm sure Matty is picking the vibes up off you.
Trish - Yay on the food for Tehya! What a little guzzle guts hey?? And well done to Noah for his TTing. Put a big star on his chart from all of us! If he has a chart of course.....
Sarah - your Dr sounds great. Very sensible! I'm finding it tough with the reflux too, she's taking to spewing really big all through the bass when she gets put to bed, and rubbing her face in it. Yuck! By the time you get her up and fold over the bunny rug, it takes 30mins to get her back to sleep. Driving me spastic, but I dont know what to do abou it. We have needles next week, so I'll ask the dr I hink. How great there are no probs with Zanders tear ducts, and I hope sleep school goes OK. How long will it take you to get in?
Deb - the organisation is a coverup!! I wrote those thankyous when Jenna was 2 weeks old..... and I'm only just getting them out!! Hope you like the cutting board!
Tanya - Oh no on Wato being sick. And sorry but I did chuckle a little with Emily's poo. I bet its yuck though!! Jenna chucks all over everything, our lounge suite has little white marks all over it, so I sorta get it a little. Have fun with Violets tucker today! Hope she likes it lots!
Bec hope you got a good nights sleep last night! I laughed when you said you would be a blanket girl at lunch tomorrow, I remember last time Eliza didn't sleep at all!! We are doing the sling again I think, even if it means dropping some tucker on her head.
Well I have some exciting news! I got July's issue of Practical Parenting, and in it was a sleep routine for newborns. well I took exception to someone telling new mums how to feed and settle a 2 week old, so I wrote a big letter into them! And I've got an email back saying they want to publish it in September's issue. I think I win a pile of Avon stuff, but I'm not sure, but just being a "published author" is exciting! Of course, they are giving the columnist the right of reply, so it will be interesting to see what she says. In actual fact, I've been out to dinner wiht this girl, she is only 30-odd, has no formal training (is a nanny) and hasn't even got kids!! She is a mates, brothers girlfriend, but she wont know me. so everyone has to get the September issue and see how i'm portrayed!! Hopefully as an advocate for new mums getting it right without all the pressure from other people!
Back to bed, We need a nap..... zzzzz

Fi, I will be sure to buy it. Good on you for writing into them too. Glad to hear that Jenna's tummy has settled. I have a cloth nappy folded over at the top of Tehya's bassinett for those chucks. I was getting sick of having to strip her bed so now all I have to do is change the nappy.
Sarah, good to hear that zander is doing as well as he can be. Dr Phil sounds like he's worth his money, glad that he could reassure you. Your pics look great - well Zanders pics. That site is so much better hey. I was getting sick of having to change pics all the time on the other one too. How is Zander feeling after his needles?
Nell, ouchies on your wisdom teeth hon. I had 3 of mine out a few years back and it hurt like hell. Sorry 8-[ Not sure what sort of anesthetic you'll be having, I have IV sedation as I have a great fear of the dentist, anyway check with the dentist before hand as it can go through your milk. Sorry to hear about you Aunty, doesn't matter if you know it's coming it still hurts you. Hope that Matty is feeling better today and that your day is a better one too. Big hugs :)
Deb, LOL on you snorting like a pig. Thankfully I just have to surprise Tehya and she cracks up. Or I just start laughing and she laughs with me, Too cute. Yummo on your chocolate bread too :)
Tanya, mmmm pooey lounge, I seem to recall having one of those 2 weeks ago and it wasn't even my baby. Hope that Em is starting to feel abit better and fingers crossed that all the nasties stay away from Violet. How did she go with her lunch?
Bec, I hadn't planned on giving Tehya solids til she was 6 months old. Out of pure desperation in trying to get her tummy filled up and maybe get me more sleep I tried alittle and she loved it so I thought why not. Eliza is old enough now to try some too. They say if they start to show interest in what you are eating then you should give them a try - rice cereal that is, not your food :) Hope that she's doind better today for you.
Welcome Simone and Declan.
Well no tucker for Tehya last night. I made it up for but by the time I had it cool enough for her to eat she was past it. Too grumpy, so out come the old faithful boobies. Every night it seems she has a pattern. Bum change, feed, stopp have a screm, abit more, another scream, more - this goes on for around 5 minutes or so til I put the bb away. She has another scream the goes to sleep. Surely theres got to be a better way.
Take care
Trish
-
Hi :)
Nell, I am so sorry to hear about your aunty!! Like Trish said it doesn't matter how you lose them it still hurts. I had a gf say to me after my brother passed (something like) "at least you had some idea". I growled at her and she just looked at me funny...
I hope you can get your wisdom teeth out asap!! I have only ever had one come through!! I am 28 and my other wisdom teeth haven't even threatened! I think they are there...?
I hope Matty is feeling better.
Trish, sounds like Tehya has some routine going... 8-[
Fi, Have a good day with Jenna's cousins... they might wear her out and you might get a good night out of her :)
Well Done at getting your letter in a mag :D . I think it is great that they are printing other ppls views.
Sarah, great ot hear that the dr reassured you... I hope Zander is doing ok after his needles.
Has anyone heard from Maryann lately?
Welcome Simone and Declan!! He was born on a great day (hey Sarah) :D
Violet loved her lunch yesterday... pears. She had an odd night tho... hopefully none of that tonight!!
Tanya
-
hey gurls
I've been lurking around checking out how you are all going, but i've had a really down few days and haven't wanted to post unless I could say something good :)
I think I'm starting to come out of it.. was probably just *really* bad pms as i now have the period from hell....cramps, migraine and everything. Hopefully it'll be the last nasty one for a while.
Doh! Bas WOULD have to start getting grumpy as soon as I sit down at the computer!! (of course it might be that I'm eating and he isn't...I'm sure if he could he's come and take it out of my hands!)
Better go settle him down as we've going visiting today and I want him to be in a good mood.
Will catch up tonight hopefully.
-
Hey Zola - sorry to hear you have been feeling down. Damn that nasty AF! I hope Bas behaves himself and is happy for when you go visiting.
Nell - my condolences to you on the passing of your Aunty. That's no good to hear at all :( Ouch @ the wisdom teeth. I need mine out too but we don't have the $$ atm so they stay. Sounds like yours are giving you more hell than mine are tho. Urgh... dentists!
Trish - hmmm yes... Tehya's "bed time" routine does sound rather hellish. Maybe it's her way of getting herself tired enough to go to sleep? And making you tired enough to go crazy, I bet!
Fi - well done on getting published! Such a worthy cause too. Nothing worse than new Mums being told that a baby has to fit into some sort of pattern at just a couple of weeks old! I think that's why I was worked up into a frenzy in those early days. I will make sure I buy a copy and check it out. Good work! Thanks for the cutting board too. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. My scrapping is at a stand-still until I get more photos developed. I don't want to fill up the whole album with pics of Gabby from only the first 2 months.
Welcome to Simone and Declan. Everyone is say that but where's the post?? LOL I have missed something once again! But welcome none the less!! ;)
Gabby slept 11 hours last night so I am fresh as a daisy, LOL. I figured since she slept for so long that I might try and keep her up a bit longer before her morning nap. Nope! She still only lasted 2 hours then started drifting off in the bouncer while I was having a shower. So she is back in bed. She is starting to get a real personality now. I can tell she is going to be one of those toddlers that just talks and talks and knows everything, LOL.
-
Hey Everyone
Zola - Hope that Bas is doing well and that AF isnt too hard on you for too long!
Tanya - Great that Violet loves her food!
Trish - I hope Tehya is behaving for you! Sounds like she is being a little grumpy for you!
Fi - YAY for being published and for sticking up for all of us mums! Dont you just love experts that dont have kids themselves!!!!
Sarah - I hope that Zander isnt too bad after his needles! I think mums hate them more than babies! What a fantastic GP you have, you must be really pleased!
Nell - I am so sorry to hear about your Aunty! Doesnt matter how prepared you are for the news, its always devastating when it happens! Wisdom teeth are always fun, NOT!!! I had all of mine pulled years ago now!
Deb - Gabby is just sooo cute! I hope that she is being good for you!
Bec - I hope that Eliza slept well for you last night!
As for me, I have been really busy! Had broadband installed on Monday, went and did most of my Xmas shopping, only a few things left to get now! Got Hayley some great stuff! Dad rang yesterday morning to say he was coming home yesterday, so at least it makes things a little easier on me now, although he isnt well, has lost lots of weight, so I am now dreading his next oncology appt in September! He did come home with lots of goss for me, I am sure my cousins want to go on Jerry Springer...weird bunch they are...no longer family I think!
Hayley is doing pretty well, tried her on some rice cereal yesterday and she wasnt rapt at all. Will see how she goes today with something yummy, maybe some custard, I think. She is still sleeping pretty well, although I cant get her down until about 11pm now, makes it a very long day for me!
Well, I better go as I have a million things to do, but I am sure that I will get there.
Catch up again soon.
-
Dinky - LOL @ your family going on Jerry Springer. Sometimes I think my family could go on there too. Good to hear things are going well with you. How are you finding the broadband? I love ours. I will never go back to dial-up. Good to hear your Dad is back too. That must be great for you :)
-
Hi girls, how are you all,?
Just popped in to say hi. I am around, but not if that makes sense.
Am going to go and catch up with everyones piccies!!
:) Chrissy

Hello everyone,
I had to log on and tell you about our very special day.
Eliza and I (along with my mum) went to the alziemers home that my Nan use to live in and bath her. The old ladies fell in love with her and although they may not remember much the "motherly instint" was still there. Poor Eliza was nursed and kissed by all the ladies, she smiled and giggled away. It was just sad that my nan passed away before Eliza was born. On a happier note we are doing the sleep thing again and I am chomping at the bit to feed her solids.lol
Nell: Hope the wisdom teeth are not impacted and they can take them out in the chair. Mine tend to play up when I get stressed or pregnant.lol
Fi:Well done on the published letter..we are religious readers here so we look forward to seeing your name in ink. lol about the blanket...I think I might get 10 minutes out of sleep during the day tomorrow.
Trish:To tell the truth I am alittle scared about the solids, we have the farex and bowels and spoons. I think I am too chicken to go against the MCHN.
Dinky:Hope things are a little easier with your dad home, the gossip is always a good way to have a laugh...I use to watch Jerry everyday..lol at work my fav was a guy who collected vomit..lol makes me queezey thinking about it.
Deb: 11 hrs OMG...I think I may have to book Eliza into the Daystay program at your house.
Guee I am rambling on better go and get some sleep myself..oh bugga got to make more bottles..erk
Bec

grrr had huge post and lost it so will say quick hi and re-do personals tommorrow.
Hope all are well, Fi can't wait to read your letter, good on you for standing up for us all.
We have a tooth!! so question - do I have to look after it? if so how? other than that all is well here.
-
Just a quickie to say Zander isn't doing so well after his needles yesterday :( He's been very clingy & crying heaps (we had a 1hr session at 1am). He doesn't seem to be weeing as much since them yesterday so I think we might be off for a trip to see Phil tomorrow. Will let you know how we go & will do personals tomorrow when I feel less like a zombie!
-
Scarlett - congrats on Emily's tooth! With Matthew we just clean it with a clean face cloth during his bath. He also has a toothbrush (oral b first toothbrush)n that he holds and we play clean your tooth. He obviously doesn't understand what it is azll about but we're hoping he'll just used to it.
Sarah - that's no good about Zander, hope he is better overnight and tomorrow.
Deb - hate to tell you but I am getting my teeth out at Werribee Mercy and it isn't costing me anything. My xrays didn't even cost anything....
Thanks everyone for your well wishes, I do appreciate them!
-
Well we've had a lot better night last night. Zander slept 9.30-6.30 had a bottle then from 7.00 & he's still asleep now. His nappy was super wet as usual at 6.30 so I'll keep an eye on that today.
-
Sarah - that's great! Sounds like Zander and you got some much needed sleep. Thank goodness, hey?
Nell - wow! Free! Is that because you are in so much pain so they class it as an emergency? That's good news tho!
Scarlett - bugga about losing your post. What a pain. Yay @ Emily's tooth! The MCHN said that you need to brush teeth as soon as they appear but you don't need to use tooth paste when they are so little.
Bec - aww that was so sweet taking Eliza to where your Nan used to live. LOL @ the day stay program at my house. It's nothing that I do - trust me! Gabby has her own little schedule. I am just lucky atm that it involves lots of sleep. I am not expecting it to last forever. As for being scared of you MCHN - what she doesn't know won't hurt her. If you want to start Eliza on solids and you think she is ready, go for it. Just don't tell the CHN. She is your baby, not hers. You know best!
-
Now the poor bubba has a cold :( Every time he tries to laugh he ends up in a coughing fit, poor thing.
Yaaay for a tooth Scarlett :D
LOL Bec at using Deb's place for a day stay - I think we all should do it. What do you think Deb?
For all those that commented on our GP, yup he is great :D He has been mum's Dr since she was pregnant with my oldest sister (in 1976) and has been mine since birth! So he knows me & will tell me straight what he thinks should be done so I really trust him. Not sure what I'll do when he retires.
Ok gotta finish later *someone* wants attention!
-
Hello,
Well we have had a couple of fullon days here! Cousins are keeping Jenna very pampered, but unfortunately didn't mena a good sleep last night. She had a 4am wakeup, but went back down again til 8. Can't complain I guess! And then we had a ANC reunion today with Deb and Bec and Angela, so all in all lots of fun! Poor moppet is stuffed, and is out for the count in bed. Unfortunately I have to wake her in about 15mins to feed her before I go to netball training, which I feel very mean about. Poor sausage. Oh well!
Sarah - poor zander and his needles. Hopefully he comes good nice and quickly. And lucky the last nappy was a wet one! And now a cold..... no poking funny faces at him!
Scarlett - yay on the tooth front. I think you have to start sticking a brush in her moouth to get her used to it. Not sure it does much though. Every time I stick a finger in Jennas mouth to feel for teeth she sticks her tongue out. Duffer.
Deb - hope you are feeling a bit more chipper and work was OK.
Bec - sounds like you had a lovely day at the home. Give the solids a goI reckon!! Eliza is nearly 5 months old yes??
Dinky - yay on broadband. I am getting more and more temptied with it. You will have to fatten up Dad with lots of home cooking! As for the Jerry Springer - well I think Shane's family could boost the ratings on that show sometimes. The stories!!!
I got a really heavy dose of AF today. Yuck. Cramps and all. But I guess my body was trying to get back to normal, so just one of those things I guess. I always feel bloated and yuck when I dont have a monthly, so hopefully weight will start to come off a little more now.
Fi
-
Sarah - awww... poor Zander getting a cold :( The poor little sausage. I dunno about the day-stay at my place. One baby is enough for me!! LOL
Fi - yep.. feeling a little better. I think I needed a break from the little skamp. She slept the whole time I was gone and she is still asleep now!! Typical! I think she is getting used to only sleeping well in the cradle and not so much in public. Ah well. Hope the run around the court tonight helps your AF cramps subside a little. Thanks for organising lunch today. You were right about the menu. Beautiful food! I think I will be dreaming of that lamb I had for quite some time, LOL.
Feeling a little tired myself. I guess I should be napping but can't be bothered. We have another full-on day tomorrow. Mother's group in the morning, then my neices' birthday party then Gabby has her needles. Urrgh!! ](*,) I am thinking about skipping mother's group..... will see how I feel in the morning.
-
Sarah - I hope Zander is feeling better today, I wish there was an easier way to protect their health than needles. Not looking forward to ours in 2 wks. Your doctor sounds awesome, wish we had one like that.
Fi - LOl at Jenna sticking her tongue out when you feel for teeth. I am still trying to get a good look at it as I cant keep her mouth open long enough. Hope netball training was fun.
Deb - glad you are feeling a bit better. Hope tommorrow doesn't wear you out too much.
Trish, Tanya and Nell hope you are all well.
Am exhausted from work today, I teach all day thursdays and all the maths teachers bar one are off sick so had to sort out their classes work too. Also discovered that the guy whoose job I am doing at the moment entered kids in the westpak maths comp before they had paid. Idiot, so now I have to try and convince enough kids to do it to avoid losing money. At present I have $136 to 'find' at $4.00 a head should be interesting. Oh well it wont be me having to justify the loss to the business manager at the end of the year.
-
*wwwaaaaaahhhh* The cold is worse :( Poor bubba is making himself sick from coughing so much. So I'll be scarce for the next few days or so.
-
Hi all!
Sarah sorry to hear Zander is not well!! Poor little mite!
Scarlett, I had a dream with you in it last night!! I can't remember what it was about, but you and Emily were here... funny cause in my dream I never saw you, that's probably cause I have neva seen any pics of you :) LOL.
Deb, I hope your not coming down with something!! Sounds like you need a big rest!
Fi, I hope AF doesn't last long.
Been swimming this morning, always good to get out of the house!! Got home and put Violet on the floor, lit the fire and Violet had managed to get under the coffee table...? LOL, dunno what she was doing. Was in such a bad mood Yesterday!! I think it was a mix of tiedness and hormones (I've had a bit of spotting). There was a function for the students on Wed night so they were all walking home at 2:30am, and hte next door neighbours decided it was a great time to get the whip out and practise whip cracking... Grrrrr!! Wato eventually got up and told them "IF YOU DON'T SHUT THAT F*#KING THING UP, I'LL SHOVE IT UP YOUR F*#KIN A*S!!" LOL... I heard them say... "sorry Wato". I was about to get up and ask them to go further up the road to do it...lol. He went over the next day to appologise for being so blunt...lol, but they said that it was their fault, they shouldn't have had it out.
Well I got a surprise the other day :) . Wato came home form Shep and he had bought Violet a Kick and Whirl Carnival :D . Isn't he sweet :) .
Anyhoo... hope you are all keeping well.
Tanya
-
Awww... that was sweet of Wato to buy his baby girl a present, Tanya! LOL @ him telling those kids off for cracking the whip too. It's a bit silly of them considering they must know you have young kids! Some people just don't think. Oh dear @ the spotting. AF is meant to stay away from BFing Mums. Nasty witch she is! That was rather clever of Violet to make her way to the coffee table! I will be shocked when Gabby starts moving around.
Sarah - sorry to hear that Zander's cold is so bad :( I hope it goes away for him soon. It's so hard when they are sick because you just don't know what they need sometimes.
Scarlett - bribe em! That's how to get the kids to do the maths comp, LOL. Our French teacher in high school bribed us all with a chocolate eclair if we entered the french comp. The silly thing brought the eclairs out before the test was over so we all did really well with the first section and rather crap at the second section because we just ticked whatever box, LOL. I dunno HOW you do your job. I hope you get plenty of R & R over the weekend.
We had a very busy day today. I decided to walk to MG with one of the other Mum's. It turned out to be a 30 minute walk. On the way back I stopped in at her place for a cuppa only to discover I had 30 minutes to get home, jump in the car and head out to my neice's birthday party at a miniature farm. So I raced home, threw Gab and all her stuff in the car and raced up there. Gab was so hungry by the time we got there. I fed her then we had a wander around looking at all the animals. My Dad took a photo of Gabby sitting on a mini Shetland pony so I will have to get a copy off him. I will definitely go back there one day for one of Gabby's birthdays. It was great! Gab started cracking it after the cake so I took her home. As soon as we got back, she did a poo so that explained why nothing would calm her down!! ](*,)
Neil is out at a mate's work farewell (even though he doesn't work with him!! He just wanted the free grog). I gave him a permission slip provided he spend a day with Gabby and I on the weekend. No car, no computer - just family time. Needless to say it was a deal. He's going to stay at his friend's place tonight so I can just sleep and not worry about him being too loud and waking up Gabby.
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!
-
Hi mums and bubs,
Just a quick note to tell you I braved the farax and started solids...it was a small sucess,I think some went in...lol
Tanya: Hows the kick and whirl going, bet Violet loves it.
Sarah:Poor little mite, colds are shocking especially when the weather is so up and down
Scarlett: I remember the Westpac maths comp, one year I guessed all the answers and got a destintion..lol I am bad at maths.
Fi:Poor muppett Jenna I'm glad she had a sleep when she got home.Hope netball wasn't too bad.
Deb:Guee busy day, but you can put your feet up with a glass tonight and pretend your single and don't you love it when you get the whole bed.
My electrity bill arrived today NAASTY!!!
Apparently I'm not allowed to spend liberally for 2 weeks..Hope he doesn't find the bag of clothes we bought on Thursday, I'll bring them out slowly and say..oh that old thing..lol
Bring on the weekend.
-
Phew, I have been MIA today and thankfully there isn't heaps to catch up on.
Firstly, Deb I must apologise to you. I have given you the wrong idea and I am so sorry! My wisdom teeth are to going to cost me money. I went today to book in and all that and it is going to cost about $1500 all up, I'll get back about $1000 as I have insurance. So my apologies, so sorry!
Your day sounded very busy! Hope you had a great one and get a good nights sleep.
Sarah - sorry to hear about Zander. Hope he gets better very soon!
lol Bec and your bag of clothes! Oh no at electricity bill - horrid things bills are!
Tanya - what a great surprise Wato gave you and Violet! What a sweetie. :)
Scatlett - bribing them is a good idea! lol. Hope you are better and Emily is well.
My little man is a treasure. :) In the past two days he is saying 'dadda', 'mumma' and 'buba', all running into each other and I'm sure he doesn't know what it means but it's great to hear all the same. He also sat up unaided for all of 3 seconds or so! What a clever boy he is. :)
Dreading my day tomorrow, funeral day. Eek.

Nell - Urrgh... I hate funerals! I hope it goes as well as it possibly can. As for having to fork out all that money for your teeth - OMG! Lucky you have insurance. Why dental stuff isn't on medicare is beyond me! Hey... no apologies necessary. Soooo cute with Matty "talking". Gabby will say Mumumum sometimes and I pretend she is saying "Mum" ;)
Bec - LOL... "That old thing..." I will have to try that. Although, I doubt Neil would even notice n e way ;) Sounds like the farex went well. Is Eliza sleeping any better because of it, or is it too early to tell? We got our power bill too. I think I will be getting an extension ;)
I wish I could say I had a brilliant night's sleep last night but I didn't. Gabby slept well and I would have too if the fricken neighbour's dog wasn't barking all bloody night. It can hear me from our toilet so I would go in there and tell it to shut up. Honestly, our big dog will bark every now and then but if she starts up on a tangent, we tell her off and she stops. I didn't hear them go out there once to tell off thier dog. The annoying thing is that it barks right near the fence that runs along our bedrooms. Pain in the butt!!

Deb, oyu should've yelled at the dog!! My sis screams at the dogs next door to her. So much so another one of my sisters who lives pretty close to her can hear her when she yells at them, lol.
Nell, I hope the funeral goes off ok today. How cute of Matty... awwww so sweet!!
Bec, lol at buying clothes :D . The old saying goes what they don't know won't hurt 'em :D
Not much happening here, just trying to aviod the house work. Violet is waking again during the night... oh well, it was good while it lasted... :(

Bugga about Violet waking during the night, Tanya. Perhaps a growth spurt? LOL @ your sister yelling at the dogs. I was kind of yelling at it but I will definitely be having a real go if it tries it on again tonight!
I am trying to avoid housework too. Might have a nap on the couch if Gabby stays asleep.

Hello all,
Tanya - bugger on the AF situation huh?? How long did it take with your other kids? I'm over the cramps already, hoping it goes soon. Yay on the kick and whirl! And yay for Wato saving the day on the whip cracking! At least he did something! shane will just sit there and be nice, wont say a thing, until I get that narky I just scream at them!
Deb - glad you are feeling better. :)
Nell - Hopefully the funeral goes/went OK. I'm sure thats a silly thing to say, cause really they aint nice, but YKWIM! Yay on the baby talk too. Jenna is definitly getting some hard consonents in there whihc is sounding more like gagaga and dadadada its cool huh? And she has learnt to do raspberries, so the world cant shut her up! She blows them constantly. Cheeky bugger.
Sarah - I hope Zander gets better soon. Poor little mite.
Bec - LOL on the clothes! Shane notices everything...... Bugger!
Scarlett - Those maths comps huh?? I used to get distinctions in all of them, and I'm sure I only answered half the questions! I loved the working ones, not multichoice. I always did better in those - something about showing my thinking on paper I guess. I'm sure you can bribe some to do it!! I can surely see how you would be exhausted from work. It just makes me feel tired!
Well the excitement for our day (there is always something...) is that shane's daughter met her sister!!! We were playing at the same grounds, and Sam came over and talked to shane and his nieces for ages!! And of course had a cuddle with Jenna. Then, after her game, she game back with all her firends to show Jenna off. Luckily I had my camera there to take a photo of the girls last game, and so I got a couple of Sam adn Jenna together. Apparently all the photos I have sent are on Sams wall, so thats really nice. it will be interesting if she wants to spend more time with us now?? Hmmmm - not sure I'm up for it to be honest. I've told Shane we have to take it very slowly as we dont trust her yet. She stole heaps of stuff of us last time she stayed, and its just all too hard. We shall see!! But at least its a start - right??

Okey dokeys I think I am back properly now! Zander is still coughing alot, but is much better than he has been so hopefully the cold is slowly going away.
Wow at your ANC class still meeting up sometimes Fi, Deb, Bec & Angela. We had our last class & that was it!
Yuck at AF Fi, hopefully it has calmed down for you now. Awww that's lovely that Jenna's sister wpent some time with her & yup you are right at least it's a start.
Eek at having to find all the kids to go into the maths comp Scarlett, how are you going with it?
LOL at Violet quirming over to the coffeee table Tanya, wonder how she did it?! OMG at all the students making so much noise the other night & good on Wato for doing something about. Great though that he apologised in the morning too. Yay for the Kick & Whirl for Violet, is she enjoying it?
Wow at that walk the other day Deb (to MG) pretty impressive! Aww how cute of your dad putting Gab on the pony. How did your family day go with Neil? Hopefully he wasn't hung over. GRRRR at the dog barking all night, hopefully last night was better.
Yay at starting solids Bec how exciting :D LOL at "that old thing" as well, I do that sometimes - yeah I bought it aaaages ago!
Awwww, yay at getting some words Nell \:D/ That's so cool & sitting up, my goodness Matty will be learning to drive LOL!
Ok, now where to?! Zander stayed with my parents on Friday night cos I was exhausted from roughly 3hrs sleep (broken as well) on Thursday night so I got a half decent sleep.
Yesterday we went shopping & I finally found the toy I had been looking for for ages. What I wanted was just a set of linked rings that can hook onto the pram & then other toys can hook onto them if that makes sense. I had searched everywhere & mum had searched everywhere & couldn't find them. We take my sister out yesterday & what do you kow she finds them straight away! The way they were packaged they didn't look like what I wanted so both mum & I had glanced past them - about 5 times LOL! Anyway, they were $7 and Zander loves them so it was a success!

Sarah - I was given some link-a-doos for my baby shower. They are great, aren't they? Gab has a set in the car, in her rocker and one in the nappy bag all with a little toy attached. That way she can play with them and not drop them as easily. Good to hear that Zander is doing much better. Yay 4 your Mum giving you a break.
It is pretty cool that our ANC still gets together. I think it helped that all of us are chatterboxes. Sometimes it only takes a couple of people to get the ball rolling. Most of us agree that we are more comfy with our ANC than with our Mother's groups, LOL.
Fi - that is awesome news about Shane's daughter! It must have been so nice for him to hear that she has Jenna's photos up in her room.
Doh... bubba's up... will finish later...
-
I think its great Deb about your ANC, no-one talked much at ours at all. But my MG is great we all get along really well.
