I'm back!!!! Almost just in time for me to leave again. LOL!
Welcome to the new ladies and bubs, time flies with a baby, well, I think so.
I will try to catch up with all the goss in here, but they have shut the last page so I have decided that I will have to catch up as I go along.
Had a brilliant holiday in Sunny Qld, bummer to come home to wet Melb, but had to happen sooner or later. Found some massive bargains in Qld, so Hayley has a nice little wardrobe of clothes for summer.
Almost school holidays again, yuk! At least the sleeping in is good.
Great news!!! Hayley changed her routine while we were away and she has been brilliant ever since. In bed by 9pm and sleeps through to between 7-9am. Amazing!!!
Had our 6 month check up last week. She is now 6.9kgs, not bad for a premmie! Is only 63cm, so I guess she will be short, the other girls are. Had yet another argument with the MCHN, she was not happy that I have put Hayley on solids and she is doing brilliantly! Very bad idea according to her. Usually I wouldnt have said anything, I just get Hayley weighed, measured and tell her nothing BUT she actually had students with her, and I knew that she would have to be more polite than usual.
On the subject of MCHN! I did notice that a few of you are having a hassle and ending up upset about comments! My advice, do whatever you think is right in your heart, you are the one who knows your baby best, not some damn woman who sees them for 5 mins a month. The problem is that they seem to think that all babies fit into their book that they learn from, they dont, every baby is different. I have always asked advice from other mothers, mostly my own mother when she was alive, and although things change, the advice that they gave me was invaluable.
Okay, I just thought that I would pop my head in before Hayley and I graduate, doesnt time fly. I am in the midst of organising Hayley's naming ceremony, so that is always fun, not!!! Its the first big family thing that I am doing without my Mum and I am not coping the best. She has been gone 8 yrs today and whoever said it gets easier was wrong!!
