I am glas that we made it this long before she got her first cold.. premmies tend to be more prone to bugs.. but the poor wee thing hates having her nose wiped 7 boy can she crawl fast when she wants to get away LOL...

Its funny how some babies talk and others are slower at learning to talk but quicker to walk.
Charlie says - mummy - dad - dog - please - ta - dink (drink) - more - mine - hiya - dawk - no - yes. so he actually talks all the time - he waves at everyone and say hiya as he's doing it - its sooo cute. My MIL teaches Speach therepy at the primary schools here - for those kids that are struggling. she can't believe how clear his words are.
Mitch - charlie hates getting his nose wiped - he has a hissy fit

Hi all.
Bummer bout the cold Mitch.
Sarah got her first fever yesterday so I gave her panadol which dropped it but she was really sooky n irritable and she has really painful nappy rash too! I gave the dummy back @ 12.30 last night so I could sleep but she didn't really want it. Looks like it really is gone for good. at least she can babble as much as she wants n get the sounds out properly. everything is still Mama Dada Bubba or babble but it just sounds so cute coz she has a very feminine voice n squeals half of it.
As I only posted yesterday there isn't much else to say! so CYA

Damn i'm having prod with my ticker again, any suggestions?
-
Mitch, what we do re wiping Jordy's nose is to pretend to wipe ours first... he is sooo much more likely to not turn away or be a PITA when trying to do his
And way to go on Charlies words Jac. Must be sooo cute

Hey guys, both interview went well the one jono went for didn't pay enough to worry about, the last interviews for the one I went for were on Saturday so just waiting now I would of thought Id hear by now though! Anyway good things come to those who wait.
I have just been listing all declans stuff on ebay cot and change table etc since he is now in a single bed and I have little hope of having another bub anytime soon and just do not have the room to store all his stuff.
Hope everyone is well haven't had a chance to catch up on the posts
-
OMG Beck... Icant believe Declan is in a single bed already... mind you alexa still isnt walking & still a midget LOL....
-
I agree, Yikes on being in a bed
We know Jordy rolls around in his cot too much, including doing 180's, so not rushing that one :o
-
Theresa... hugs sweetie... you are an amazing mummy & your girls are so lucky to have such a strong mum!!!!
I hope Em recovers quickly & that G is sorted sooner than later :)

Hi Everyone!
We must all be very busy with our bubs, it has been quiet in here.
Theresa... Sorry to hear that all is not going very well. Good Luck with Ems surgery, we are thinking of you all. I second mitch on how amazing you are and how lucky your girls are despite everything. Will try and keep up with your blog.
Becky.. Wow at the single bed...if abbey was a bit bigger we would try to though. Good luck with your interviews!
Mitch.. abbey is a midget too lol hope alexa is feeling better
Ali... Good to hear you guys are well. I wouldn't worry too much about Sarahs weight. Abbey is only 8kg and in the 10th % and my MCHN isn't worried. As long as they are happy and healthy looking with the right amount of nappies I wouldn't worry at all.
Abs.. Good luck to Penny for monday. I hope it all goes perfect for her.
Jacci.. wow on all of charlies words. Abbey can say mum dad bub ta dog yes woof hiya and bye. then just growls and points or has a tanty if she wants anything else lol
Well Abbey has been a bit grizzly lately, but she put herself to sleep last night, only lasted for about 4 hours but better then usual. Hopefully she will do it again tonight. I have still not weaned her night feeds yet, have been too busy to spend all night up with her. This week will probably be it though.
And her other 4 teeth on the top are coming through and a couple on the bottom almost are. So she now has 8 on top and 4 on the bottom with more coming..hopefully its nice and quick. She has also given up walking. She will do it if you make her but she finds crawling faster so just does that.
Otherwise all is going well here.
Hi to everyone else.. Hope you are well!

Hi guys
just a quick update from me:
Charlie was admitted into hospital (again) with viral-induced respiratory distress on Sunday and we were discharged today. He was on oxygen and ventolin but seems to have turned a corner and so we're back home with his management now left to my GP. This is his third hospital stay with the same symptoms in 6 months, and according to my dr, unlikely to be his last.
Luckily between these episodes, he is usually healthy and happy. Unfortunately it's only when he catches a cold that it triggers an asthma attack which usually is severe enough to warrant admission into hospital. How do I stop him from catching colds? I have no idea.
I also realised while he was in hospital that he's now got almost all his baby teeth through. 8 incisors and 8 molars, all erupted. Hopefully that's all the teething he's going to be doing for a while.
Amanda, I hope that one you decide to wean Abbey it'll be super easy for you.
Theresa, I haven't had a read of your blog yet, but hope everything goes well for the surgery.
Bec, definitely not ready for a single bed here either. Charlie is also a 'roller'. Though he now can climb off my bed on his own now, I still don't trust him not to fall out of bed when he's asleep.
Hello everyone else!

Hi Ladies
Just a fly by for me today, as I am about to go get ready to go to an undercover wear party, don't know if I'll buy anything but its always nice to look hehe.
Hope all the bubs that have been sick are on the mend so they won't give their parents any more trouble, I know how I feel when Declan is sick so I can only imagine what those of you are going through.
All good here, Declan is now standing for longer periods of time by himself and has actually been standing up from his squating stage today, so I don't think I'll have my crawler for too much longer.
Bec - I have seriously been considering about putting Declan in a single bed with a rail for a few days, cause he seems to sleep better in a bed then he does his cot, not sure, we have a spare single bed we might try him in first if it doesn't work out at least the cot will still be there.
Well must run its 5.20 already and I'm supposed to be there at 6.
Chat to you all soon

Single Bed - Declan has been in his for 4 weeks and is sleeping much better way easier to settle as I can lay down next to him and snuggle until he is asleep, we just got an old bed and cut it down really low he knows how to get in and out if he needs to and I have a foam mattress on the floor just in case. We are going to get him a car bed at nex time as they have nice high sides so we wont have to worry about the rolling out! I was having big issues with the cot Id get him to sleep put him down and he would wake so this solved the problem, although he still wakes 2 -3 times that is much better than what he was doing and it is taking around 15 mins without a bottle to get him back to sleep where as before I couldn't get him back without a bottle and it was taking a minimum for 30mins each and every time!!!

Hi all,
Glad to hear you're solving the sleeping issues Bec, I was having similar issues with Josiah, but bizarrly they've disappeared. It's weird, about the same time Janae started climbing in his cot and playing with him, he started sleeping better at night. I'm starting to think he maybe saw his cot as an isolation thing, but now he knows it's not....probably WAY over thinking it, but it seems to have worked that way. Now he sleeps all night and if he does wake, I just pop his dummy in and he goes back to sleep. Mind you, I wish that was the case last night.
Josiah has all his teeth except his 4 canines (top & bottom) & their coming through now and giving him so much grief. Poor little man had a temp last night and was quite unsettled - finally brought him into bed with us and he slept better, but not before making sure I was thoroughly sleep deprived - yawning like crazy today.
Hope Charlie is doing better Sush - I know how you feel, my mum went through the same thing with my little brother. It's horrible to see them like that. Hopefully Charlie will grow out of it like Dominic did.
YAY on all the walkers & almost walkers. I can't believe how fast our babies are growing.
Question- has anyone switched to cows milk yet? I think I remember Sush saying she has...I started giving it to Josiah this week but it seems to be upsetting his tummy a bit. I didn't give Janae cow's milk until she was 2 because she was such a poor eater I wanted to make sure she was getting SOME nutrients from somewhere, but Josiah is such a good eater I didn't think it would matter too much. I've stopped giving it to him and am giving him formula again and he seems to be ok but I was just wondering how everyone else is going with it if they've tried it.
Anyway, hope everyone is doing well or feeling better, I should probably get back to work
Speak soon
Bel

Bel,
You're spot on, Charlie is on cow's milk and for the first few days had some runny poos. After that though, his tummy got used to it and he's fine now. He doesn't have more than 2-3 bottles a day though.
If he seems unsettled by it, maybe try half formula, half cows milk and slowly decreasing the formula over the course of a couple of weeks? My ABA counsellor suggested that for Charlie but he ended up on straight cow's milk in the end.

how many teeth do they get ? A few have mentioned teeth lately. Jordy still has just four at the top and four at the bottm. No sign of more coming yet
Sleeping, still getting up between 4.30-5.30 for a nappy change and bottle - and maybe back to sleep eventually... it's getting really difficult lately as he barely wants to go back so just chats away and plays for maybe 90mins - with the monitor, we hear every word/noise he makes
And Jordy is down to 2 formula bottles a day, and uses a sippy cup for milk at other times during the day. And cyurrently has a red raw rear end and very mustardish sludgy poo at the moment. He hates having his bottom even touched - fortunately the nappy seems to take 99% of it away from his skin so very little wiping needed
-
Hi everyone,
Abs - Tyron only has 4 top teeth and 4 bottom teeth, no signs of any coming through soon!!
Sushee - I hope Charlie is better soon, will they put him on a preventative asthma medication or anything??
Bel - Tyron is on cows milk, it took him about 5 -6 days to settle into it, now he is fine though!
Becky - I can't believe Declan is in a single bed, Tyron would fall out and he would also never go to sleep because he would be climbing out!
Theresa - I hope the operation goes well with Em and that things with Georgie settle down soon.
Well qst: Is Tyron the only baby not walking, I don't know whether to be worried or not, he is big and heavy but he just doesn't seem interested. He talks lots, says more, up, cup, hello, star, ball, book, ta etc.. but just wont walk!
Hi to everyone else, I hope you are all going well..
