Thank you everyone.
Joy - the biting does hurt doesn't it. Ive been saying no sturnly but he just laughs at me! Anyway he doesn't seem to do it as much as he used to so hopefully he will grow out of it soon.
Nic- wow that is amazing - 13 hours straight sleep. I would love a sleep in til 8.30! don't think it will ever happen though. My boys have always been early risers up and ready to go by 6.30.
Ali - good luck with the end of your pregnancy. That will be really nice to have two girls close together. My boys are really starting to play with each other now and it is great tp watch. They really entertain each other and will hopefully be great mates one day.
-
hi everyone sorrry ive been quiet but poor little jess has had the cold and it wont go away .she ended up with a chest infection and ear infection now shes got another cold.shes been on so many anti bodtics i hate them i know you need them but who really knows if they are any good.she got weighed the other day she is 13 kilos and 80cms long.
-
I have now been given permission to tell any1 i like. I'm gonna b an aunty!!!! Danniellabella (if u ever c 1 of her posts) is my sister and after 11 and 1/2 months trying is finally pg! so my kids n her kids will b close together.
13 hours is not unusual in our house coz I dont go to her unless she is emotional. often she goes back to sleep because she is usually just letting me know she's awake. Midnight food calls again are gonna b a shock to the system!
-
I'm the same with the 13 hour thing - last night charlie was so tired from daycare he went to bed straight after his tea and bath at 6.30 and woke up at 8 am this morning!
Kate - I remember charlie used to wake up that early for the first 6 months - i thought it was going to kill me - now he is sleeping till atleast 7.30 -8 am and ican handle that.
-
Hi and welcome to Kate
I don't really have much to report, aside from 2 ppl have been added to the list of ppl that I know having babies and they are my next door neighbour who is 20 weeks due in Nov she kept that a secret and one of our friends are having their 2nd bub and is 10 weeks pg due in January so that is now 12 ppl or is it 13 omg
-
Ali- congratulations to your sister! i'll go see if she has a pg announcement posted.
LOL ikwym about needing a new brain, i am sick of loosing eveything. i have it in my hand one min and then i cannot remember what i did with it, very frustrating....
-
-
Im sick of runny noses and colds as well Jesabell. My Sam seems to get over a cold only to pick up something else the next week! All these colds are mean't to build up their immune system though so that is something positive i guess! Last night i gave him some dimetap, put the baby balsam on and his vaporiser and he slept great.
I have to vent about food! - Sam used to eat anything i put in front of him but the last few days he'll take a couple of mouthfuls and then start spitting it out (very frustrating). Even his weetbix in the morning is being spat out. Where has my baby gone that used to eat anything???!!! Im hoping its his cold putting him off and he'll get back to normal soon.
Ali - my sister is due with her first baby in October. I will be a first time Aunty as well. She just found out shes having a boy. Congrats to your sister.
-
Kate - I am the same with charlie and food - he keeps spiting it out at me saying - no more no more - he eats what ever i have for tea but i can't give it to him he has to do it himself or he won't eat it at all. he has a bit of a cold so i'm also hoping it is just to do with that.
-
i know what u mean jess loves her food but lately wont touch it i ever tried her favourite food noodles .all she is eating is apples which i cant complain least shes eating something today she has been screaming all day i dont know if it is her cold or she getting another tooth i even took her for a drive to get her asleep didnt work.at the moment shes quiet hi-fives on she loves it she wont move when hi-fives on.
-
I put charlie into a big bed last night ( well not really a big bed but my cot turns into a bed so i took the side of it. he didn't fall out which is good - he has had 2 sleeps in it today and he hasn't fallen out then either - i'll have to wait and see what happens - I'll leave him in the cot/bed for a month then i'll get him a real bed.
-
Wow Charlie's ready 4 a big bed already!
Danni's due date is 11/03/08. 2 days b4 my birthday! fantastic pressie if u ask me
Sarah got tooth number 12 this week. hopefully that means I get a bit of a break from them!
Have 2 have U/S in 2 weeks to check Emma's presentation. really hope not breech! have physio appt on Monday - YAY!!! might give me some relief!
Really scatterbrained 2day so if i missed anything just put it down to pg! have a good day n hope all the sick littlies get better soon!
-
Hey all Declan has been in a single bed which has been cut down for about 2 mths now he much prefers it to the cut.
he only has 5 (well 6) teeth no sign of any more just yet!
Went to the Kmart toy sale today I got him a clow in the dark lightening mcqueen doona cover for his bed a soft Mater toy from the same movie and some mega blocks which are in the back of a truck type thing I also got a lil stripy bonds suit for my SIL who is due any day and one of those glow in the dark worms for my niece who is one next month
-
Well it is very slow in here just writting so we don't go off the page hope every one is well no news here really just doing tax etc
-
what do you mean by going of the page??
-
wow - it has been quiet in here!!
with all the babies not eating - have you tried offering some water to drink first? It could have absolutely nothing to do with it, but I've noticed with Josiah if he's refusing food, I'll offer him some water. He normally skulls it down and then is happy to eat. Stupid me has taken what seems like forever to figure it out, but it's worked and he's eating again, so I'm happy :)
Not much to report here - had a fantastic time in Sydney. Didn't miss the kids as much as I thought I would, but I think that's partly because I work full time. I missed them mostly at night, but made it through ok ;) haha
Josiah still won't talk, but understands and responds to everything you say, just not with words. He mouths a lot of things when he's copying, and we get the occasional word, but nothing repetitive. I think he's going to be one of those kids that just comes out with a full sentence one day just to prove he could have done it all along, he just didn't want to.
Anyway, better go, time to start getting things organised to go home.

Hi everyone,
just a quick hi and to add to the food chat. Caden used to eat heaps, this last week, with a cold, he has only eeaten up to 6 teaspoons at night, even with water which always keeps him going, 1/2 to 1/4 of his normal brekky and hardly any lunch. SOup and apples are a big favourite but other than that we aren't having much luck and he is sleeping at night more than ever... go figure!
hope all stay well,
-
hi everyone jess is getting better but the nose wont stop running shes eating and drinking better.but evernight shes getting up and playing im talking about 3 330 in the morning its killing me .i havent slept probably for about a week hopefully tonight its lkie shes not tired .
-
joy - bananas are a favourite with charlie haven't tried the apples for a while - will try them again tomorrow
PROBLEM!!!! Please help me feel better - we just got back from A&E - charlie has a viral infection in his doodle - poor little thing you can't touch it - but while i was there the doctor stressed me out a bit - after charlie got circumsised his doodle comes out when he pees and everything but other than that it goes back inside - we just put it down to being really chubby little kid and not a very big doodle (poor kid!!) we asked the health nurse and she said he'd grow out of it - but this other doctor said i should take him backand get him checked out coz he's never seen that before - so now i'm stressed about the poor little boy!
-
poor charlie hope hes alright .
-
Oh Jacci I hope he is ok
Well I am majorly stressed this is usually our best time of the year financially because DH usually gets between 2-4k back in tax and this year he got a bill OMG and it is because his work forgot to tax his allowances grrrr which now makes it look like he earnt more which means I have under estimated his income with centrelink so not only do we have a $600 tax bill I will have a $1800-$2200 centrelink debt aaaaaaaaaaaagggghhhh right at the time when we can least afford it as the money jono gets back on his tax pays all of our annual bills and now we can't afford to pay anything. I just rang the real estate agent and dropped the price on our house and told him I want it sold by Sunday DH and I worked out last night that if we sell it for $235k we can afford to pay of all our debts except his car loan but that will be gone soon too as we are going to do a novated lease and sell his current car.
So now instead of keeping all the money from the house to build we have to use it to pay all the bills and we will be renting for the first time ever!I refused to rent when I left my parents on the up side we found an awesome rental property for $290 per week and it is brand new so finger crossed our house sells ASAP so we can put our names down on the rental and it is in Turners Beach which is where alot of my relatives and friends live PLEASE SELL HOUSE!!!!
-
oh Jacci - hope Charlie is ok - just because 1 doctor hasn't seen it before doesn't mean it's something majorly wrong! And you're right, it could be because he's a chubba bubba! A friend of ours was a majorly chubby baby and he had the same thing (we're good friends with his parents, he wouldn't tell us that himself:cryinglaugh:) If the CHN said it should be ok, then i wouldn't stress yet - they see babies all the time and they're trained what to look for, maybe just get a 2nd opinion.
Becky - I know how you feel - just realised we've underestimated our income too - luckily our house is already sold, so we'll be able to pay it back rather quickly, but it is stressful. We won't be getting much of a tax return either, it's the first year in 10 I can't claim too much back. Hope your house sells soon and you get everything sorted.
Anyway, better get to work. Check in later - from my new office
Bel
-
Centrelink - I actually estimated and then i started working so i went to centrelink and got the payments stopped in january - so i wouldn't owe them any money - i just got all our group certificates and i am way under in my estimate - so they are going to owe me payments starting from January and probably more because i wasn't getting enough to start with - this is going to come at exactly the right time - like you said Becky tax time pays all the annual bills
-
Jacci - my older son had an infection in his penis about a year ago. it looked very swolen and sore. He was given antibiotics which cleared it up. Hes not circumcised though so can't help you there - doctors are always stressing us out for no reason! hope he is ok.
Well Sam is back to eating which is good. He has eaten alot this morning actually, maybe a growth spurt? I agree about the water - it definitely helps him eat more if i give him water and a little break in between.
He is not happy in the pram at the moment. Just wants to get out and walk. Anyone else having this issue? I keep giving him snacks to nibble on which keeps him happy for a little while!
-
Righto... just a quickie... sneaking on at work...
Alexa is walking everywhere now... arghhh & is a total chatterbox...
Hope Charlie heals quickly...
Becky.. Hope the house sells today!!!... positive thinking...
Alexa is a fussy eater at times & others is a total gannet...
Tax waiting to see if i get a refund or a bill.. hoping for a refund...please please please..
Jeff has been off work for the last week with his back out... not a good week for stress levels.....
Alexa due for jabs on friday... lucky me...
BBl
Luv Mitch
:)

everyone must be really busy, it's been so quiet in here...
little story to fill in the time. Got home from work yesterday, got Josiah's dinner but he absolutely refused to eat, closing his lips up tight and shaking his head no everytime I tried to coax him. Did the same with water, after a while I said, 'what is it? Do you want to go to bed?' He looked at me and nodded his head yes! Made him a bottle, gave it to him and he took himself off to his room and sat down next to his cot waiting for me to come in and put him to bed. It was only 5.30, normally way too early for bed, but he slept until 6.30 this morning, so he must of really needed it.
Anyway, that was my time waster for the morning - BBL
-
Hey!
I reckon it's been so quiet coz we r all chasing toddlers.
Having u/s on Tues to check presentation. Don't know whether I would prefer a caeser @ the mo but it would guarantee my parents to be in the country for the birth.
My friend had a boy yesterday so am going to visit tomorrow. Sarah will b spending the day with a friend so I can have a nice relaxing day n catch up on some sleep n get the house ready for inspection on thursday  it's good enuf!

Hi all,
sorry havent been here in a while things have been quiet hectic.
Firstly Nixon is going well and walking most of the time now. As of Friday he learnt to stand by himself so since then mostly walking, how cute is it hehe!
He knows something is going on with mummys belly cause if i am down to his level he smiles and pats my tummy! He has even lifted uo my top on his own accord and blew rasberries on it when i was holding him a few times!
we are moving again starting this w/e. Into a rental. And we are taking our Melb house off the market for a while. Our neighbours across the rd sold and are re building, so they need at place for 12months or so and are moving into our place.
Things just wern't working at MIL. and with no incling on how long we'd be there for we had to make a decision. The sydney market is a good time to buy but while our house isnt selling we are not in a position to buy.
Looking forward to getting things back to normal and being on our own as a family again!
hope your u/s goes well tomorrow Ali, i have a OB appoint tomrorow as well and will be also booking in for another scan in the next 2 weeks.
-
HI everyone, been awol for a while, things have been pretty hectic here.
We just noticed that Caden's penis tip is very red, rang the MCHN and she said to keep an eye on it till tomorrow and put some creme on it, if now improvement then off to the docs immediately. Jacci - Hope things are alright with charlie.
Caden is back to eating hurrah, like a horse at that. He is complete off bananas and carrots but loves apples, crumpets and corn rounds (we cut 1cm rounds off a corncob and boil/steam it, chill it a bit and he munches away, squeals when he sees it coming).
I have had a really hectic few days, got gastro on friday, ended up in hospital sat. nite on iv drip, home again late sunday arvo, couldn't keep enough liquid down and got really dehydrated very quickly. All good again. I love my doc, they put me in midwifery in a private room with my own toilet etc... mostly to stop spred of gastro and keep an eye on bubs and me. Was almost a holiday once I started to feel better atleast. Was the first time i was ever away from Caden for the whole night and day. DH was fantastic and Cadden wasn't completely unfazed except that DH forgot to give him his milk all day and couldn't work out why he was a little grizzly.
On a better note- picked up my new Phil & Ted's pram last thursday before going to see taping of 'Thank God You're Here'. Too much excitment in one day. Pram is fantastic and tv show was so funny. heaps of laughs and a gerat night out, even if a little late.
sorry for the long post,
becky - hope the $$$$ sort themselves out soon, really feel for you there, we';re eating a bit hand to mouth and living of centrelink at the moment till DH starts his busy season again soon but in the mean time bills just stack up waiting for a good tax return.
night,
-
Joy- gosh sorry to hear u had to go to hospital, glad you are better now and bub is fione too. Gastro is so nasty isnt it.
LOL at DH wondering why Caden was grizzly, my DH would prob do the same thing! Thinking he'd been so good and remembered everything when he would forget a main thing hehe!
-
Wow its been so long since I have been in here, so much catching up to do.
Well our news first. Abbey is going very well, starting to get a bit of a temper if she doesn't get her own way but no tantrums yet. She still isn't slepping very well but I have kinda given up on that. I had to get her weighed becuase she wasn't putting on weight, but since her bday she has put on 1kg so the nurse was happy. She now weighs 8.9kg, yay! She is starting to outgrow all her 00 and is in 0 now, so she is finally growing lol. Still walking everyhwere and getting so fast, does not want to hold anyones hand anymore, and doesn't alwys come back if you call her, so I am doing a lot of running after her. She had her first sleepover last weekend, and spent teo nights at my mums, we had to go to Melbourne for work and it wasn't possible for her to go with us. She coped very well and I was too busy to not cope lol.
My pg is going well, am over 12 weeks now. I had my first OB appt and he said that if it looks like this baby is as big as what Abbey was, he wants me to have a c section! So I am now on the lookout for a new ob lol. Good part was that I had a quick u/s (internal one yuk!) and got to see bubs and a heartbeat which was cool. Last time I didn't have one till 20 weeks. I have my 12 weeks u/s booked for tomorrow so looking forward to that. I have starting showing a little but it just looks like I am fat lol. We still haven't told everyone yet, just close friends and family but I think it will be out soon. Have had a little bit of ms but not too bad, i have been so tired though.
Enough about me lol
Joy.. Hope your feeling better and sorry you had to go to hospital but lol at DH and the milk.
Nickers..yay for finding a house but yuk at moving again. How cute is nixon rubbing your tummy and blowing rasberries. And he is very clever for walking lots too. Hope your pg is going well.
Ali.. good luck for your u/s. And I hope your relaxing day was relaxing lol
Bel... How cute! I wish abbey would go to bed like that!
Mitch.. Hope Jeff is feeling better and that alexas needles went well. Very clever for her to be walking everywhere, abbey is a chatterbox too but doesn't make any sense lol
Jacci.. Hope charlie is feeling better and it wasn't too serious
Becky.. Hope your house has sold already!
Well we haven't had any problems with abbey not eating, she won't eat some stuff on her plate but will eat most of it, and if its mushy she will eat anything. She is loving bananas atm and sultanas.
Hi to everyone else I have missed, hope all is well!
:hello:
-
Hi everyone. Sorry its been ages since I've been on here, I've been very busy with doing tupperware demos. Plus have had a sick bubba on and off for ages, they finally sent him for blood tests and a stool sample yesterday so will hopefully have some answers soon. Plus we got hit down with food poisoning after going out to dinner last Wednesday night, really ran us down all day Thursday and then Friday I was hazey in the head. Luckily DH was around to look after Declan.
Amanda, Nic, Joy, Ali - wow all of your pregnancies seem to be flying by. How are each of you feeling?
Mitch - how are you going hun it's been awhile.
Abs - hows things going with the business?
Jacci - How's little Charlie going?
Kate - Welcome
Bel - how are you hun & the kids?
Bec - what adventures has your Declan been up to?
Jesa - How's little miss Jesabell going?
Ok who am I missing. Hi if I have but I'm terrible sorry been a long day lol.
-
hiya!
Well - we have our first 'official' word! Josiah has been imitating for a long time, and will occasionally come out with something resembling a word - you know, the ones that only close family can make out :) Anyway, this morning he toddled into our room, climbed up onto our bed, gave Mark a hug, sat up pointed to Mark and said 'daddy' clear as anything. Apparently he's been saying it all day whenever he goes near Mark. So pleased, coz up until now he's just been grunting and pointing at what he wants - including bringing me his favourite dvd and pointing at the tv with a grunt - cheeky monkey :) Can't wait for his next word now!
Nothing else terribly exciting happening here, settlement on our house is due on the 6th August, but we're renting back for 6 months so no mad rush to pack. I just did my tax return, well a bit of a trial run until Mark gets his group certificate, looks like I should get a decent amount back, but that will just go back into daycare so no extra to spend - how sad :( Oh, other Josiah news - he's learning where all his body parts are - hands, feet, nose etc - Janae's been teaching him. She's so proud that she's been the one to show him and shows him off to everyone, it's very cute.
Amanda - glad you got to see bubs and everything is going ok with you, sounds like Abbey is going along nicely too :)
Nickers & Ali - good luck with your scans - all this baby talk almost gets me clucky, but not quite!
Joy - hope your feeling better now, and good on DH for looking after Caden so well - even if he did forget the bottle! Hope everything is ok with Caden's little willy - Jacci said Charlie's got the same problem atm.
Amy - hope Declan is feeling better soon and you've all recovered from your bout of food poisoning.
HI to everyone else, gosh it's been quiet in here. I'm off to bed, it's very late & I've got work in the morning.
Keep smiling
Bel
-
thats so exciting i know what u mean about the dvd see jess loves hi five every morning she come up to me and say hi hi hi its so cute so nearly everyday she watches hi five.
-
Amanda- glad to hear your pg is going well and yay for seeing bub!
Bel- how cute Josiah with his word and grabbing his fav dvd for you to put on hehe.
Nixon just started saying mummy real clear also. he has said mum mum for a while but now it is a real clear mummy and he walks around everywhere saying it lol!
-
morning!
Another day in the office...I'm not minding working full time at all, but there are some days when you just want to stay in bed, and this is certainly one of them!
My little man has some sort of rash or something. It looks like insect bites, but they're on his arms and legs and tummy. It's not chicken pox, but I don't know what else it could be. They don't seem to bothering him at all, and daycare didn't say a word about it yesterday, but Mark is taking him to the doc in an hour or so just to check it out. I thought it may be an allergic reaction, but they really do look like mosquito bites...oh well, find out soon enough, he's still happy, so it can't be too bad :)
Anyway, back to work for me, hope everyone is having a good day
Bel

Hi Everyone
Just a quick fly by here to give you guys some information.
We got Declan's results today and he has low iron levels due to Milk Syndrome.
It is where kids have too much milk so it effects the absorbtion of iron into their systems. Kids over 1 should only be having 2 cups of milk a day at the most. Declan was having milk with his Cereal, a cup with both m/tea & a/tea & then a cup with dinner.
Thankfully it isn't anything too bad but still we need to work on getting high iron foods back into him so we can get those levels back up.
I just wanted to warn you guys incase any of your tots were having more milk than they should be and maybe have a chat to your CHN or GP about it if you are concerned or if they develop very running poos all of a sudden.
I'll be back a little later as I'm feeling a little  atm & like I'm a bad mummy for not knowing that I have been feeding my son too much milk.
-
wow jess has just had runny poos for the last week and she drinks three 200ml bottles aday oh my god shes been really grizzly i just thought shes been tired as she sleeps with me and both of us isnt sleeping well .im taking her to the doctors tomm tha
nks 3g3oi0ng66++++ sorry jess is trying to type as well thankou going 42
-
Hey all nothing much exciting here Declan is saying more and more he came out with coochie coochie coo the other day and just keep saying and I don't even know where he got it from as I never say it untill now to get him to say it as it is so damn cute! If I twirl my finger and say around he does like a dizzy wizzy so cute
My cousin Annamieke has had her bubs today I have seen a pic and he is sooo cute! 7p4o 50cms drug free natural delivery both doing well CONGRATS
-
Hi everyone,
so much has happened,
Bel - that's fantastic that Josiah spoke so clearly and with purpose. Caden talks a bit but nothing so clear or purposeful. Let us know how Josiah's rash is too.
Amy - the milk thing - I was told no more than 600mls milk a day though Caden seems to choose his own amount usually about 100mls per feed, three feeds a day so I'm not too worried. Hope your little man improves quickly.
Nickers - hows the pregnancy going? Time is really flying now!
Becky - Sounds like great fun playing with Declan. Caden is just really cheeky and likes to make me get up to stop him from doing stuff I tell him not to. I am just trying to persist and be consistent. When DH comes in he will go back to doing what I had just told him not to to see if DH will stop him, hope its not a sign of things to come!
Just wondering how much TV you guys let your little ones watch. We don't let Caden watch any as he is pretty flat out doing his own thing most of the time anyway. And I find it really hard to see little kids watching TV like they do, all fixated like they do. Any thoughts?
gotta go have lunch...
