well my last day at work (office job) today. doesnt really feel much cause ive only been back since may 2 days a week but glad to be finishing all the same. did my last tupperware party for a while on wed night, so just got to deliver some orders etc then i'll have nothing to do lol!

Nixon was sick with a viral infection last week, he did not basically eat for a week and lost about half a kg. He doesnt look unwell but my chubby boy isnt so chubby anymore...

Emma is doing great! if she either stays the same weight or gains 2morrow, we can go home! she is heaps more alert n smiley but is always goin 2 b skinny. last nite was the 1st nite without the nasal tube feeding n i didn't get much sleep! The hossy formula stinks tho! Emma is not tongue tied, she just couldn't bf even tho we were doing everything right. i'm glad i know th@ I can bf from Sarah coz if Em was my 1st i would have thought i couldn't. I don't feel guilty about switching 2 formula bcoz it wouldn't b fair on Sarah if i was expressing n bottling as it takes a long time. formula is best 4 my whole family in this situation. bf would b my choice if Em could do it.

DH is taking Sarah home 2nite coz he wants 2 go 2 her swimming lesson! we shall c what her attitude is like wen she is home. hopefully it improves. She is aware when she is doing a poo or wee so as soon as she can verbalise that she is about 2 we will start potty training! she walks up 2 the change table when she wants a clean nappy now, vv cute! hopefully she will b trained within 6 months!

Nickers.. Hope nixon is feeling better. and yay for you last day. I can't believe how close you are now. But congrats on making it this far this time, I bet it was a relief.

Bel... I hope you are all feeling better now. we all had the flu here last week and just starting to get over it now. Abbey doesnt talk much either, but she still lets us know what she wants. SHe is getting better though.

Well we are all good. Still looking at cars, but there are too many to choose from. We are going to melb in october so DP is going car shopping with my dad, and hopefully they find something. Abbey is doing well, had a bad sleep last night though so is grumpy.
I am booking into the hospital today and i am hoping for a bit of a look around seeing as its a different one to last time. DP finally felt some kicks the other night. He was pretty excited.

Re cars, when we try 4 #3 we will b getting a SsangYong Stavic. It looks ugly but is basically a mercedes with a nicer price tag. it has a bigger boot than most of the other vans we have looked at and a bonnet instead of having the engine under the front seat - much safer in a prang. can also fit 4 carseats comfortably n 5 @ a squeeze. Its the gutsiest van 4 it's price. Even Wheels mag reckon the only real con is its looks!

Lots of chatting going on here. I can't remember back too far except that Congrats Becky on selling your house!!! that must be a huge relief.

Nickers - great to see you doing well, looking forward to hearing you are on your way as it means that I'll be that much closer!
SHell - I really feek for you, we had the same story - 22 hours of contractions, no urge to push, posterior, DS never dropped due to being posterior. OB said, during the c/s that the muscles were too tight and no baby would be able to get through them. All to do with riding horses. That said he is really happy with things this time and it all looks promising, VBAC here we come - fingers crossed.
DS is great though sooooooooooo active. Currently working on building a fence to stop him from getting to the dam, dog water baths and chicken pens. Means I will be able to let him outside without having to be there 100% of the time. Which is a big pro for both of us! especially when the baby comes. DS will be able to go outside without me and come and go as he please when I unlock the door.
He isn't talking much but I seem to be able to understand his attempts pretty well. Not too worried, all the boys on both sides of mine and DH's family didn't talk till late, around 4-5 years of age so not too concerned.
that's my update, so I'm off to have a thickshake and a lazy rest before bed.

No offence, but this is my DH's (mechanic) opinion on SsangYong Stavic vans, he describes them as korean POS, korean built car with fake mercedes badge, built under licence of mercedes but still built in korea, not same quality as mercedes (not even half the quality) with crap warranty, blah blah blah.

Well could use facebook i guess but if i wanna share pics with others that arent my facebook friends but not rest of world i'd have to send them the link to each separate album, hmm.

Shell, I so get the Blah blah blah that comes from DH, I have a very opinionated 1! What r the pic limits on BB? Yes we will have @ least 3 but prob in 2 yrs or so. getting implanon so no more surprises 4 a little while hopefully! on the car bit, ford festiva is made by Kia too! I told DH he can have whatever car he wants when we can afford a second car but i need something that fits every1 and everything in it. i have 2 take the wheels off my pram 2 get in the boot in the commodore sedan. wish DH had agreed to wagon when we were looking b4 Sarah was born...

Emma came out of hossy yesterday n all is much better. she is so different now that she is eating properly! very awake n smiley! She is on formula but more concentrated so it has higher calories. she is still catching up 2 where she should b but is having regular weigh in's 4 reassurance 4 both me n the docs. Very glad 2 b back home 2 some normality tho.

Joy I wish my landlord would put up better fences btwn us n the dam, cows, donkey, driveway etc etc etc. was put on the lease that he won't tho. We make sure Sarah doesn't go within a metre of the dodgy fences we have tho. now to get him to replace the letterbox that got destroyed by vandals...

Just a fly by to say a quick hi and I'm hoping to jump on tomorrow after work & housework to do a quick catchup on everyone.

Holly's got her 7th middle ear infection, it co-incided with her chicken pox 18mth injection on Wed, had her at GP access with a temp of 40.1 Wed night, we've had to give both nurofen & panadol to keep fever down to around 38. They looked in her ears but put it down to a side-effect of the vaccine. Fri had her at my GP's & was diagnosed & given antibiotics. The fever was noticeable around 1hr after which is too quick for a reaction & the injection site looked fine. Poor darlin, but she wasnt pulling her ears at all which is why i didnt suspect it. Fever today has been hanging between 37.7 & 38.1 without panadol or nurofen. Oh & apparently most get a few lesions/blisters around the injection site 5-21days afterwards & apparently they are contagious, so to keep them covered with a patch so Lanah doesnt catch them, yikes.

Lanah has woken anywhere between 2-5am the last 3 nights, maybe coz of feeds bein messed about with tending to Holly.

U copied n pasted that didn't u shell! LOL. Not good bout the EI tho. Sarah plays with her ears infection or not so it's not an indicator for me.

Swimming lesson today. Sarah is getting better at jumping in the pool from standing instead of sitting so hopefully she can move up to the next class soon.

Nixon has been sick here too. He had 2 ear infections about 3 weeks ago and swollen glads, he was on anti biotics and got slightly better but by the start of this week started getting sick again. Now he has a cold, the cough, snotty nose etc.
In 3 weeks he has lost close to 1kg from lack of eating. He is however still in the normal weight range thank god.
He slept through last night but the night before he was up every couple of hrs screaming the house down. we've never seen him carry on like the way he did. he worked himself up so much kicking and screaming neiher of us could calm him down.
just trying to get him all better before this bub arrives.
when Nix had the ear infections his temps were between 38.5 - 40 also and had trouble getting them down.
so we didnt take him to swimming today, needed a break from it.

Sarah- how has Emma been going since she got home from hospital?

lexy finally slept through the night again last night after 4 nights of broken sleep - I have taken her dummy off her at night (still has cuddly), cause the little monster was breaking into her room & grabbing it out of her cot during the day LOL...

Nic, Emma is doing really well. she has an appt with the dietician on thurs n the paed on fri. looks nice n chubby tho. Sarah had every bug under the sun in the last few weeks of my pg so i can empathise with how u r feeling @ the mo'. He's just getting it all out of the way now n will b fine when the new bub arrives.

Mitch, Enjoy Yourselves!!!!!! It is the best holiday you will get in a long time!!!

I'm not looking forward to thursday morning. I'm getting the implanon put in and the needle is HUGE!!! it's enough to scare a bloke covered in tattoo's off needles i reckon! Hopefully this contraception actually works for me!

Good news on Emma. How do u manage swimming lessons with bub too Ali? Do u go when DH is with u? I've been really slack & havent taken Holly to swimming lessons for ages.

Bugger on Nixon getting sick too Nickers. It sux to not be able to make them better.

I'm sure afew of you would have had your 2nd baby by now. Still no pregnancy here for me!!!:( started trying but no luck so far)

i will read up on everything and see what i can see!

Charlie is a little devil - he talks really well puts whole sentences together now like "mummy, were daddy" and stuff like that - he is begining to get to be a handfull though he has a temper on him ( gets it from me!!! )

anyway i will takl more later after i have read everything!

Sarah has graduated to the waterbabies advanced class as of today!! she much prefers floaties to the tube! Still lots of babble with a few actual words here and there.

Em is on normal formula now! she has caught up to where the Paed wants her and only has to see the dietician if she is under 5kg @ 12 weeks! she's becoming a bit of a guts!

Jacci, it will happen just when it's ready. don't stress about it as it will just make it harder. r u on FF?

Soon we shall all have 2 kids n never b on here!

just a quicky to let you know we arrived home safely yesterday.

Tyron is well, he went straight to sleep in his bassinett and i kept checking on him waiting for him to wake for a feed!

I will update more over the coming days just getting some things unpacked etc but we have been having extreme feeding difficulties with little Tyron, he basically refuses my breast, i have had 3 Lac consultants, speech therapists, been on the phone to ABA consultants, nothing is seeming to be working. Im not ready to give up yet but know its going to be extremley difficult at home with nixon aswell.

WE R POTTY TRAINING!!!!! Sarah has figured out how to take her nappy off, need i say more, i'm sure u can imagine, so the time has come for undies in the not too distant future. She did her 1st potty poo this evening and got heaps of praise n sum dried apricots 4 a treat.

Em is on AR formula, normal strength, so spilling less and taking more. Paed does not want to see her again, neither does dietician unless she is under 5 kg @ 12 weeks.

Happy 18 months every1, gee time flies!

oh wow potty training! hope it goes smoothly, i guess patience is the key there, wow Nixon is no where near ready to be potty trained, he has learnt he can take his nappy off also.

i was going to ask u about your feeding issues, was it that Em would not latch onto you or what was it?
Im expressing atm i try putting him on each time, he manages a couple of sucks which is an improvement from last week.

Lanah at 8w6d: DW=5.29kg, L=58cm, HC=38cm.
Holly at 18w3d: was 5.25kg, hehe.

nic, latching n sucking issues. she still has a very little mouth. i don't think she could get enuf in or suck hard enuf. got inspection friday, will talk more later

It has been a long time since I have been on. Tyron is going well, talking up a storm (in fact he is never quiet!!). No 2nd baby for me yet, in fact not sure on a second one at all!!!

yeah it seems Tyron is just too lazy to suck and work for his milk! he wants it free flowing.

we;ve tried using the sideline tube into his mouth while at the breast, he will suck it while the milk is coming through that and then when it stops he stops sucking little terror.

Lisa- i always thought your tyron was a tyrone?
its funny im bridesmaid for a friend next yr and her other bridesmaid had a baby recently called tyrone!

Hi everyone, still here, though not in a hurry either. Not a fan of going early here, in fact like the idea of being a week or more over. Just means I have more time to get ready...

Nickers - Hope the feeding sorts out soon, must be so frustrating. We had a little bit of trouble with Caden sucking though after my milk came in there was no stopping him. Though sometimes he would be hungry but refused the breast, came around after a little bit but no trouble like you're having.

I must admit that I am starting to look forward to meeting this one though I can wait another week or two yet. I'm a little jealous of those who are starting to toilet train, still working on getting Caden to tell me when he is wet or dirty. As for words, very random and not much in the way of sense yet. I imagine come the 18month checkup i'll be told he's not doing well, though I'm not too worried as the boys on both mine and DH's family sides talk late. It'll happen and what he says at the moment makes sense to me, just not many other people.
Speaking of my little man he has just woken up so best go get him...

Bel - I hope you are feeling better soon, I thought I had a cold but worked out it was just bad hayfever!

Joy - good luck with the birth of your precious little one, do you have any clues as to what colour it is??

Well Tyron is a chatterbox he says a total of 78 words and is starting to put sentences together. Daddy gone to work etc.. Me I have started a business on ebay which is keeping me busy as well as working 3 days a week.

hay ladies, sorry havn't posted 4 ages we've had alot on from moving to melb from sydney we just got into our new place 3wks ago and we are Pregnant kavanna is going to be a big sister we are so excited first cycle of ttc!!! im 6weeks, so still early days yet!
kavanna is really really well 12 teeth, she says duckie mummy daddy poppy nanny birdie, tah puppy and QUACK QUACK shes always got something to say just like her muma. with all this col weather i am very surprised we arent sick.. we are settled in and enjoying our new home!!
