Babies Born April 2006 #22

Hi guys...

We are back from our honeymoon.... Had a lovely time & great weather... but it was really nice to come home & see Lexy... only downside is that my pussy cat had to go to the vet when we were away & had to b put down (he got the cat flu)... we burried him yesterday in a spot that he cam watch us & the house... Lexy got to say by to him... (my GF took Tiger to the vet 4 me & took Lexy & told her he was sleeping)... but poor Lexy keeps going round the house looking for him :(

Lexy is a real chatterbox & hardly stops talking!!!!, she is totally obsessed with Handy Manny on tv... I have orgered her the soft toys from the states for Xmas...

She is totally into everything & knows what she wants & how to get it LOL...

We stopped giving her her dummy at night 3 weeks ago cause she was going to her room & getting it herself... little monkey... & apart from a couple of rough nights she is sleeping really well now & doesnt wake at night... but talks in her sleep lots LOL...

Wil try & keep up.. back to work on Monday :(

Sarah had her shot today n seems to be ok. Em is having hers on Monday.

Nixo had his needle on Thurs DH took him, said he cried momentarily then he was fine.

Mitch- welcome back!! glad you had a great time, but sorry to hear about your cat, must be upsetting.

My nan passed away on Wednesday so we had her funeral yesterday. Didnt take Nixon just Tyron. Mum took me and the boys to see nan just on Monday so Tyron got to meet his great grandma once and got his one and only photo. My sister did a lovely speach and teared up when she said that Nan passed making way for Tyron and one life ends as another begins... its so true. It absolutley teamed down with rain as we went to the burial, then 2min after it was finished it stopped.

Nixon went back to swimming thismorning, hadnt been for 3 weeks. he had a ball! the last few times he wasnt quiet right and didnt like going under but he definatley had fun today!

Going ok here Bel, its just hard sometimes going out, much easier at home. Had to miss mums group on Tue coz they were going to the baths/beach & I wasnt going to risk taking a toddler & a baby. U'd no how it is with 2 youngens. :) Hope ur feeling better.

Holly is going well & Lanah too, sleeping 10-12hrs & getting out of her wrap & wriggling her way up the cot already. 2 cheeky monkeys. Cant wait for santa photos & gotta get Lanah's xmas bauble & have it personalised like Holly's.

Holly talks alot too not many words though, usually just funny noises, but she tries to have a conversation with u, they're so funny aren't they. But when we're out she's shy for first hour. Holly's words: mummy, daddy, nanana, bububub, dog & cat (tries but cant seem to pronounce last letter properly), taa, bye bye, book (trying, just yesterday), dook & dat (for look & that) ...think that's bout it...

Thanks everyone for your good wishes, though no action here yet. Too much wriggling and movement from the bubs at the moment for it to be ready to meet us face to face. Getting a little excited/impatient/nervous and all those other emotions that you feel at the thought of having another one here. Just have to wait a bit longer I think. At least I know that in 3 weeks from now regardless of what happens I will have my little one with us.
Can't remember who asked but I do know the colour of this one, No one else does though, not even DH. Its been my little secret for a long time now and I can't wait to see if the sonographer was right!

I almost have the company etc.. setup so that DH can run it without me though he is a little stressed at the idea of doing all the office work and looking after DS at the same time. I laughed at him and told him he'd be fine. I manage doing all of it and being pregnant as well, figure he'll be alright for the week or two that I'm out of action.
Got more work to do so I'd best be off!

Hey all geepers this must be the first time EVER we have been off the front page.
Things are good here Declan is cutting 4 molars and 4 other teeth at the moment which will take him to 14 in total once they are all through well 13 really because of the lost tooth.
Starting to get some loans through now and making money which is nice just have to wait for the comission cheques to start comming in now!!!
We have just bought 2 new cars we traded the falcon in on an 05 Toyota Rav 4 for Jono to drive for work but it is my car I get it at night and all weekends etc and we also got a Ford Falcon 1 tonne ute which is an 02 for Jono for the w/e and so I have a car if I need one and I tell you Declan just loves riding in the front he thinks he is just such a big boy only thing now is I want to get another car seat as I am already sick of switching it over all the time.
The house settled a week ago and we are now renting it back and it looks like my parents might be buying a house that we can rent from them after we move from here whilst we build etc.

Just busy!

Sarah had an accident at my parent's house on Sunday. thankfully it was on the slab in the extension, and mum had some washing of her own to do so I stuck her clothes in with it.

Em is really nice n chubby now.

Yep busy busy. DH went back to work on monday so on my own with the boys from now!
going alright so far, they are both asleep atm ahh bliss! yesterday it was one of them the whole day, they alternatited sleeping times so i constantly had one with me! Good ina way to get some one on one time but exhausting too.
Not sure if Tyron may have reflux, i have been putting a thickener in the EBM but he is still very cranky after a feed and is quiet spewy.
Joy was due 1st Nov i think and i popped into Nov buddies a few days ago and no news yet. at most she'd prob have a week to go, look forward to hearing the news!

ETA: I just read that Joy got home today after her baby son Ethan arrived on Sunday!! Congratulations Joy hope you are well and look forward to hearing all the details!

Hi Everyone,
just popping in quickly. I can't believe how much easier it is the second time around. Last night Ethan woke up just once for a feed!!!!! so one at 1015pm, one at 245am and one at 730am. i am waiting for things to change but enjoying it while it is so good. He just eats and sleeps and Caden is fantastic with him. Had a few settling in issues when we got home as Caden got quite distressed when Ethan cried but thats already seemed tohave passed and apart from the 5pm witching hour when things can get a little demanding we are doing ok.
Thanks for all the well wishes, we got our VBAC and life is manageable at the moment as DH is home and very helpful - bless his soul. gotta go, Caden is calling

hopefully we have sorted out em's issues. she is lactose intolerant and has reflux. getting easier now but has to gain heaps of weight still. she was 4.93 kg yesterday.

ali i hope the reflux gets better, what is she on for it?
I had Nixon on zantac for a long time, didnt stop the spews but stopped the pain assoc with it so it was bearable atleast.
what sort of formula do you have to give her now?

Right now she is having s26 LF but might switch to karicare delact. we r just using Karicare food thickener in her bottles to control the reflux

Boy it has been quiet in here lately.. we fell off the first page even!!!!

Big news..... Alexa is finally sleeping in a big bed... well her cot with the side off And.......... she is sleeping through the night & not even getting out of bed!!!!!! why oh why didnt I try this earlier LOL... She has been in her "Big" bed since friday night... She was a really mobile baby in bed & tossed & turned really bad, but she seems to be staying put more this way... yahoo!!!!

Day sleeps still iffy... but only cause if she doesnt want to sleep she gets out of bed & plays LOL... or if I forget to totally shut the door (old habits die hard!!!) she comes running down the hall with her teddy & cuddly LOL

I dont remember you but i wasnt chatting in the belly buddies April group. Nixon arrived on the 17th April @ 33weeks. Good luck over the next week or so i hope you caught the egg! Have you been trying for long? We just had our second baby Tyron 5 weeks ago!

Mitch- thats great Alexa is in a big bed, we really need to buy nixon one so h can get used to the idea before Tyron needs his cot. ive been saying it for months and we still havent bought one.

Sorry I have been MIA, have just been sooo busy. We went to melbourne for a weeks holiday and had so much work to catch up on when we got back. Abbey went and stayed at my mums for the week, which was nice, but i missed her. Still saw her twice when I met them for shopping.

Congrats to Joy and Nickers on your beautiful babies! I hope all is going great for you.

I have been thinking about putting abbey in a bed soon too. I have a bassinett for the baby so I dont need the cot straight away. Abbey has just stopped cosleeping with me half the night and is resettling in her cot. The next step is moving her into her own room. She still wakes once or twice but is getting better.

ALi.. hope that emma is doing better with her feeding and reflux, it doesnt sound like much fun for her.

Well I am 30 weeks now and feeling the heat lol. I have been getting the worst heartburn and my ribs feel like they are going to break, but not too long to go now. Once christmas is over its going too quickly.

Abbey is doing really well. She is babbling heaps more now, but doesnt really say anything too much. But she is understanding alot more these days and can do what I ask her to. I was hoping to start her TT soon but she is nowhere near ready, she quite happily sits in a pooey nappy till I smell it lol.

What is everyone getting for christmas this year? Abbey is getting a swing set, but i'm stuck for other ideas.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their babies (even though they are not babies anymore :( lol )

Hi Amanda great to hear from you! Wow almost 31weeks now! I hearyou onthe heartburn, not much fun, what do u take for it? I found the Zantac tablets the best for me.

we have got Nixon a toy work bench, and some other bits and peices and also going to get the shell & a small swimming pool. I think FIL is buying a cubby house, we will prob buy him a swing set for his 2nd birthday or as a combo xmas present next yr for both the boys.

Paed has confirmed lactose intolerance and reflux. she has karicare delact (on prescripton, way cheaper), karicare food thickener, and Zantac. she is now chubbing up finally but we need to start her on solids early. she will start bout a week n a half b4 christmas.

Only got DH's pressie to go so pretty happy with my shopping time.

not much else happening here.

Ali- i just started Tyron today on Zantac and he is also having the thickener. Still on brest milk but wont take it from me so EBM , i made the tough decision today that i will no longer attempt to bf. Tyron screamed blue murder and it was too upsetting for me to see him so upset over feeding.

Nixon throws good tanty's, he drops to the ground and puts his head down, most of the time i have to ignore it because he does it over something real little like if ive told him not to touch something!

NIckers, just going to look at the feeding issues section. if nothing there that complies with our needs I'll make 1.

sorry for being AWOL. THings have been great here. I spent a week with my mum while DH was away and it was fantastic having the help with the 2 kids.
I can't get over how much easier it is the 2nd time around though i think that ethan is a good boy. He has started sleeping through the night anything from 7 - 9 hour sleeps.
Makes life so much more bearable so I hope and pray it continues.
Caden is doing well, a little mischievous but ok. He has a real sense of humour and it can be wearing at times so I am now trying to teach him when things aren't funny though I think I am fighting a losing battle at the moment.
my sister told me today she has just joined Belly Belly. She will be in the LTTTC and assisted conception threads so I'm off there shortly to say a quick hi.

So sorry I haven't been around for awhile. Been very busy with Declan, P/T work & Tupperware.

We have been doing very well. Still trying to get on top of Declan's Iron but hopefully it will be over soon.

Me well I had a health scare this last week, finding a lump in my breast. Went for an Ultra sound on it today. They seem to think it maybe a cyst caused by a milk duct that got blocked which then caused a cyst. Will get my full results on Wednesday but depending on GP may still end up with a biopsy on it just to be 100 % sure as there are a couple of things that don't match ie no soreness.

Declan will be very spoilt this Christmas as we have already gotten him:

A little people bike with shade and push handle for us.
alphabet squares that you can put together to make a mat.
One of those bead maze block things that you find at the dr office.
A mini camp chair
2 wooden puzzles
New quilt set for his toddler bed.

Plus knowing DH he will buy 1 or 2 things too.

Hi Joy- thats great Ethan is sleeping through! Tyron has been sleeping pretty well from about 5weeks anything from 6-8hrs cant complain.
Both of the boys are sick though. Nixon is on the tail end of it and now poor Tyron got it.
its a viral infection but im waiting for a call back from the doc because we seen him yesterday and he has got a lot worse since. He doesnt have a voice so when he tries to cry barely anyhing comes out its heart breaking to hear. But the little angel still manages to give me a few smiles in between!

DH is prob knocked out atm getting his wisdom teeth out, waiting for a call as to when i pick him up.

Lexy wass all into Santa.. that was untill she had to sit on his knee today... my gf took her to see Santa & ended up being in the photo too LOL.. dont know who was sitting on Santas knee though (apparently he was a young Santa LOL)...
