Nickers, eeewwww orange spew, hehehe. It sure does I just cant help but laugh at all the lil noises.
Sush, hehe, that would be funny. Hehe on Charlie turning away, cheeky. DH won't let me show certain photos. :)
Jacci, Holly too, it is very cute. Yeah sounds good, Holly woke at 4:30am again, hmm she was soaked thru & had a #2 in there & was hungry. Hehe, she's typing as i speak & i keep having to edit. Her poos are small nuggets now, sooo much easier to clean up than sloppy jallopy.
Thnx girls&abs. Haha, ok i'll chk out the post, taa.

I'd been up for 75mins by 6am Jacci :(
Though he did go back down at 6.45 and slept til 7.30 - time for me to shower and stuff - it's gonna be another long day....
Daylight savings means they will get up an hour later - yippeeee
Jordy has been doing full on squeals of late - but doing the this little piggy went to market thing on his toes or fingers quietens him down quick smart and gets the biggest grin on his face. He is also "roling" his fingers - um is like sticking/stretching your fingers out and then making a wave motion with the finger tips
And gotta have a quick winge about work... someone has been making waves about changing the way something works. So yesterday I changed in the test area according to her desire... naturally overnight something failed because of it. It wouldn't have failed in the old method

someone asked b4 about if i like melbourne or not.
i love melbourne. but we r both from sydney, all our family & long time friends r up there & we really do miss them. dh misses his mates, i miss my fam & a lot of friend up there now are pg or just had a baby.
dh work brought him down here, it was a great opportunity and do not regret it. we originally said we would spend 5yrs here, its now been 3. the company i worked for just bought another comp in melb so worked out perfect that i got to transfer.
we built a house down here, i wish we could move the whole block up with us when we go cause i love being in a new house, prices are so much more expensive in syd & dh is from cronulla so wants to stay in the shire. ( no chance unless we win lotto!)
so thats our background with syd & melb. we do have a few close friends down here too which will also make it hard to move from them again.
cause Nixon just started the pear etc he did a semi solid (very small) poo yesterday! haha i was shocked! your right it is heaps easier cleaning, but then thismorning i awoke to a massive sloppy jalopy & i rekon the nappy weighed an extra few kgs!
how many milk feeds are bubs havinig now? Nixon has been on 5, 2 days ago he had 4 and still slept through, last night he had 4 & a top up & slept through. he is now having 2 solids a day. so think he is ready to drop the 5th feed for good.
-
Nicers - Charlie has that ILove Boobies Tshirt too - hehehe
Charlie is having a bottle about 7am then solids at 9 the bottle 12 then yoghurt at 2 then bottle at 4-5 then dolids at 6 then bottle at 9-10 and then sleeps. so he has 4 bottles. The midwife said that his main supply should still be milk. he did drop a morning bottle about a month ago. i think he'll let you know when he doesn't want the 5th bottle, charlie just flat out refused to drink it.
HAPPY 6 MONTHS NIXON!!!!!!
Shell - charlie is teething and he has the worst sloppy poos - its horrible!!!
-
Abs - golly gosh is Jordan is an early riser! I am now going to stop complaining about charlie 6 am!!!!!!
I have taught charlie that when i put my hand under his double chin he starts to speak and i lift his mouth up and down and he goes - gup gup gup gup - it is so cute - he also does the indian sounds now so he starts talking and i pat my hand over his mouth - he sounds sooooo cute!
-
Nickers - I see the date you joined BB was in July2005 - did you join before you got pregnant?
-
she must have Jac - even before she got married
Bottle wise, Jordy's intake has gone through the roof in the last couple of days. All but finishing the 200ml bottles 2 or 3 times of the up to 6 times a day - he'd easily be taking in over 1ltr formula / day - do any of those tshirts come in XL:o
-
How cute Jacci, one of the bubs in mums group does the indian sounds too, & I agree, it is so cute. Hehe on the poos, hopefully he's not too upset with his teething. :)
-
Yeah i joined b4 i was pg. i wasnt actually TTC but VERY interested in charting etc when i found BB, we were getting married in the oct & i wanted to be prepared to start TTC after the wedding. it seems i was already prepared as we fell pg in the sept just b4 the wedding!
I am bf 2-3 feeds a day and Nixon has either 1-2 bottles. when he has the bottle he sucks dry 250ml! god forbid u try & take him off to burp or c if he has had enough to!
-
HI all!
Abs.. lol at getting the ILove Boobies Tshirt in XL...I think most men would suit it. I was just getting into bed when you were getting up lol.. I had a late night and couldn't sleep. Luckily DP looked after abbey this morning so I could sleep in. Abbey loves this little piggy too.
Jacci... Abbey does the indian noises too.. and since half the time she talks with her hand in her mouth she can almost do it her self. And she does what sounds like daddy too, but its not.
Shell.. lol at the sloppy jaloppy poos.. thats what abbeys still are cause no solids here yet.
Theresa... good to hear the move went well and that both girls are doing good. I think it was you who said you had a good cook book for babies with allergies.. could you let me know what its called. It would be handy to have some different things to make for when she is older, since i'm going to try and avoid allergenic foods.
talking... has anyone noticed their bubs making different mouth movements when making noise now? hard to explain, but its like she is actually trying to tallk not just making noises IYKWIM.
Well abbey went for her first swim today.. she loved it and didn't look too shocked when she was dunked. and she can get up on all fours now but still can't move anywhere. She can commando crawl now and in a straight line, not just round in circles which she had been doing.
Hi everyone else :hello: hope you all are doing well and so are your bubs.
-
Amanda- Excellent to hear Abbey's first swim class went well!
LOL Abs i bet that company that makes these jumpsuits & shirts gets requests for mens sizes all the time!
Nixon was sooooooooooooooooooooooo spewey yesterday..... i think my baby is the only 6month old who needs to wear a bib all the time! otherwise we'd eb going through 5-6 outfits a day. i am sooooooooooooooooooo over this spewing.........he doesnt care about it anymore (better than it hurting him) but dh & I pretty much have to check our selves b4 we leave the house! the other day he came home from work & had his jacket folded over, he realised he had a dry spew mark on it & had to try & hide it all day!
off to the Paed today.
-
Abs ROFL on getting the T-shirt in an XL. I reckon my DH would want one too if you manage to find someone to supply! PML!
Talking: Charlie looks like he's in full conversations with you. His face becomes so expressive and his mouth makes all these shapes - so I know what you mean Amanda! He too loves his dadada and his mumumum, with the odd bababab in there! Lol!
Poos :p yes Charlie's are still sloppy even on solids. That's coz he's mainly boobyfed 6-8 times a day still, I reckon. He only has one meal of solids a day too
Crawling: Charlie can only just commando crawl, but his best method of getting from A to Z is by rolling. This morning, I put him under the playgym and went to make my brekkie. In that 3 mins it took me to make my toast, he'd rolled himself halfway across the room!
And it must the the age for not sleeping. I'm getting up for him 3 times a night where he used to sleep through. In part I think this is probably coz he rolls all over creation when he wakes and 9 times out of 10 he cries coz he's stuck in a corner or between the railings. And that's even with a sleeping bag on.
Then at around 6am he's fully awake and there's no putting him back to sleep.
-
good morning ladies and gents!
Well, sorry to rub it in, but I had a FANTASTIC sleep last night. Josiah went to bed at 7, Janae at 8.30 (bit late for her, but I had missed her at work), us at 9, and slept right through! Josiah woke at 5, gave him a bottle (he holds his own now) & went back to bed and got an extra hour. I feel great, apart from a dodgy sore throat.
Solids - Tried weetbix for the 1st time today, 1/2 weetbix with lots of formula so it was really runny. He loved it, but we'll hold off for a bit longer coz he gagged a little on the tiny tiny lumps that were in it.
Nic - You're not the only one with a spewy baby, I have one too. He spewed when he was really small, then stopped, and now he's started again. It's gross and combined with the dribbling, just gets really messy.
Don't know what happened there - pressed enter to go to a new line and it saved my post. ah well
'Talking' - Mark does the same thing as you Jacci (i think it was you) and puts his hand under Josiah's chin to make him 'talk'. He thinks its hilarious. He makes the indian noises and says mama too.
Speaking of, better go, someones just woken up.
Have a great day
Bel
PS, Jacci, posting that dummy for you today
-
morning all - glad to have provided a bit of humour with the tshirt request :P
well its finally happened. Jen called me upstairs with a fairly loud holler... Jordy was rollin back and forth of his own accord - fully both ways !!!! He has been tricking us and waiting til he could do both ways before showing us I reckon
Then Jen just called me up again... she had him sitting up in his cot - 1 arm holding himself upright with a bar of the cot, the other hand pressing the bits and pieces on the aquarium mobile
He is soooo clever. And the look on his face whilst doing this and the roll etc is just priceless - god I love working from hom :D
-
Nixon's appoint went well. we are going to wean Nixon off Zantac. he'll still spew regardless being on it or not so hopefully the pain assoc with it has gone so we can get off zantac. I mentioned to him that he doesnt seem "flexible" like most babies. To which he agreed. he wasnt too concerned & said prems quiet often are tighter (reason behing it NFI) but maybe to rotate his legs etc and push them till they are tight then gently go a tad further. Cause he cannot get his feet in his mouth, or sit with his legs like a froggy. We dont go back for another 3 months (previously had been seing him every 2)
Abs- Jordy is a very clever boy! It must be great u can be there to c when he does things for the first time
Bel- how good do u feel when you get a good nights sleep! lets hope the kids do that for you more often then not!
-
Afternoon all
Nickers... thats great that Nixons appt went well. Abbey needs to wear a bib all the time too,but from dripple not spew, she can soak through one in a couple of hours. It must be frustrating not knowing why he spews. but lol at having to check yourself and DH hiding it at work.
Abs.. yay on jordy rolling and sitting..he is clever.
Bel... yay on the good night sleep, it makes you feel so much better doesn't it. I didn't have too bad a night, abbey only woke twice.
sush.. lol at charlie rolling everywhere, abbey still hasn't worked out how to do that, once she rolls to her stomach she stays there unless she falls back on her back. Also, someone mentioned about a wrap type thing that sort of wraps around them and then tucks under the mattress, stops them from rolling in their sleep and might stop him from waking so much.
Abbey has her needles tomorrow, I need to take DP cause she is too strong for me to hold. She also has her checkup on friday, so will have some updated stats. She is becoming a bit clingy to me, doesn't want to go to DP much and when she starts to get tired or grumpy just wants to cuddle with me. I don't mind, but any ideas on how to help DP settle her, in case i'm not around?
-
Amanda, all I can offer re DP, is for him to be as interactive with her as he can... ie he pick her up rather than you
As you can imagine, seeing I'm here all the time, Jordy is happy for either of us to cuddle him.... It's that bonding thing, more from the bubs side than the parental side
It'll probably be hard for a little while but she should soon realise to trust him as much as you
That's all I can think of
-
Hi Everyone
Bel - Thanks for sending the Dummy - I got a fairly good night sleep too - he only woke up at 6.30 which was great.
Abs - I am going to have to start doing the "this little Piggy game" i have never done it to charlie. that is great that Jordy can roll both ways - charlie can only go from back to front and thats it!
Sush - That is sensational that he can say mumumumu and dadadad - charlie hasn't got the mumumumumum bit out yet!..
Amanda - good luck for tomorrow - I make Gav come with me coz i cry everytime charlie gets needles.
Nickers - Iam in the same boat as you - If i feed charlie i have to leave a bib on him for about an hour - unfortunatly he still does the projectile spu so it goes everywere.
Theresa - can't believe little Em is 2 now! i remeber looking at photo's on your website when we first started and she was only about 14months!
We had a big thunderstorm here last night and our dog ran away - we looked everywere for her - luckily when we got up this morning she was back in the back yard - so lucky i would of been devestated if we lost her!
-
-
I'm around :hello:
about to go and cook DP dinner for when he gets home, but thought i'd pop in and catch up on the goss.
That's great that your dog came back jacci.
Abs.. DP is pretty good with her, since he is home during the day he does most stuff for her. It's mainly if she is sooky. But i guess we'll keep trying. It's just easier for me to settle her if she gets worked up but i guess he should try longer.
Theresa.. hope you get your broadband sorted soon. and good luck for Georgie's needles tomorrow
Suppose i should go cook, and do ome cleaning while i have the chance
-
me here too, up later than normal. About to go to bed though... gotta make up a couple of formula bottles and turn off the lights downstairs
-
im here too.
bout to head to bed though.
DH is working tonight & wont be home till 3-4am, so i know i will hear every noise there is until he comes home but i'll be drifting in & out anyway.
You have a smart dog to come back to your yard Jacci. we had to excapees for a while. Boxer is a jumper & the husky is a digger. not once did they come back but we were lucky to get them back or find them each time. In the end we have to revert to electric fencing around the perimiter of the yard... cruel but it worked, took a few zaps to learn, now they dont go near it & we dont even have it turned on most of the time anymore.
G/night all
-
hehe, yeah they learn quick nickers
same reasoning why a "little" peg in the ground can hold an elephant... same peg would hold them when young, they dont realise that once they are grown up and sooo much stronger they could rip that peg out in half a heart beat
Jac, you'd be pleased to know I got a sleepin this morning - til 6.10am anyway :p I'm still shattered though
-
Nicers- she never escapes but when there is lightning she will go mad to get out. Got any ideas how i can stop her from being scared of the storms???
Aslo i am the same as you - if gav gets called out to a job inthe middle of the night then there is no way i can sleep - any little noise sounds like its someone outside to me!
Abs - You sux - hehehehehe :) - i had to get up about 40 times last night ( felt like 40 anyway) - but i really am glad that you got a good night sleep -you just need a couple more and then you'll be back to good!
Amanda - such a good wifey!! cooking tea and cleaning - the two things i hate the most!!! Does you DP always work nights?
-
Hi everyone,
Sorry I have been MIA for a while, I am trying to organise Tyron's naming ceremony on Sunday, I tell you my wedding was easier than this!!
Sorry I havewn't really had time to read what has been going on, although I did read about the sleep, Tyron is sleeping from about 7 - 6:30, although Tuesday night he was up about 5 times, but he had his shots that day and was way out of sorts!!!
I can't believe how big our babies are now, Tyron is sitting by himslef (although does fall backwards after a little while!!) and he gets up on his knees and rocks, I am scared he is going to be off and crawling soon.
I hope you are all well.
Be back later, better do some real work!
-
I have finally updated Alexas webpage...
if you wanna see it is
http:/www.babiesonline.com/babies/b/bubbafleming/
-
Mitch, she is just adorable!!!
-
Hehehe I did try my best LOL
She is so vocal though, she has learnt how to squeal... so not funny anymore!!!!!
-
Tyron squels like a girl all the time, it is so embarrassing, especially at the shops!!!
He also does this thing where he sucks his breath in and it sounds liek he is choking, he seems to do that at the shops too...
-
They are jsut darlings arent they LOL... Alexa makes a huge racket when everything is silent... this girl does not want to blend in with the crowd!!!!
-
Charlie was up on his knees rocking - and gav went in to check on him and everytime he rocked back and forth he farted - was sooo funny!
-
I swear they fart like troupers, sometimes I look at Michael and he looks at me, tihnking that can't have come out of Tyron and then you look at this cheeky little face and go yep it did!!
-
Hi everyone
Just a quick post before i head off to get abbeys needles done :(
Jacci... i hate cooking and cleaning too, and not really a good wifey, just sometimes lol DP works every night till about 1am. lol at the rocking and farting.
Lisa... have a great time at the naming ceremony this weekend. Hope it all goes well.
Mitch.. Alexa is so cute! and Abbey has the same outfit as she is wearing on the front page.
Well better head off and get ready
be back later
-
amanda - Hope the needles go good!!
Lisa - have a nice naming ceremony - we have to organise charlies christening soon!! i am not looking forward to it!
Mitch - she really is adorable - I can't believe how little she was when born - I remember you saying how big she was - but its not until i seen her in your DH's arms that i realised how little she was
I have a very busy year coming up!!! i just got appointed as A grade coach this year, and then i have alsobeen appointed secretary of the whole fotty/netball legue!!! what the hell have i got myself into!
-
Lisa i hope the ceremony goes well. Tyron is going to look soooo cute in his little tuxedo!
lol @ rocking and farting!! hehe, Nixon is a long way off getting on all 4's but i agree with how much they fart. Nicon was farting in the swimming pool today!
Alexa is a real cuite Mitch ( i am sure u know this!)
Nixon's newest noise sounds like darth Vader! he is thing heavy sort of breathing thing & thinks its so funny! he also squeals like a girl too!
-
Yikes Jacci at your new schedule - umm, good luck. I can also tell you last night was NOT the norm. Didn't help I had Jen waking me overnight as I was sweating for "no reason" - damn, not enough carbs in dinner, so had to go up the blood sugar level with Jelly Beans a couple of times
Jordy has also been, what we call, frogging more and more lately. We use frog coz you can then use it in public without "alarming/offending" others
Well and truly used to the squealing too here
Lisa, have you been getting the SS names okay ?? Thought we should get an update on who/how many are involved (the more the merrier)... if its getting too hard to handle, I'll look after it if you like ?? And best of luck for Sunday
Better go have a look see Mitch whilst waiting on a particular phone call from work about a problem from last night
-
yep, agree with the others Mitch, a little cutie
-
well im going home from work for the day.
I'll log back on when i get home. Have to go to supermarket and get formula
-
Abs - we have 9 in the SS so far, they are:
Nickers
Shell
Jacci
Amanda
Bel
Mitch
Sushee
You
Me
Is there anyone else that is interested, if so please let me know and then I will work out who your SS is!!
-
Hey girls & abs
Mitch, Alexa's got so big! Well, still small, but big compared to the last lot of photos I saw of her. What a cutie.
Lisa, hope the naming ceremony goes well on Sunday. We've got to organise Josiah's dedication sometime soon - I've been so slack about it, mainly coz I didn't want the stress of getting my parents in the same room for the first time in 6 years. But, now my brother has taken care of that by having his engagement party (on grand final day, but that's a story for another time) that they both had to be at, so now I have no excuse.
Jacci - sounds like you're going to be busy! Don't wear yourself out :)
I've been slack and taken the day off work. To be fair, I'm not 100% and Josiah is not well either, but as the days gone on, I probably could have gone in. Ah, who cares, I'll be leaving there soon, may as well use some sick leave. I've got a couple of job interviews next week, so we'll see how that goes.
My poor little man has been trying to do a poo for about 45 mins, maybe its the 3 milk arrowroot biscuits he scoffed in 20mins while I was cleaning the kitchen yesterday! I thought he was still on the same one, but Janae had quietly been giving him more. I only realised when I saw her trying to sneak him another one! I can see I'm gonna have to watch these two as they get older
K, off to the shops for some cream and brandy to make steak with pepper sauce for dinner.
Bel
