    Awww I'm first one here.

What is everyone up to today?

I've finally managed to get Declan back into his routine. 1 week away at Nanna's and it takes 2 weeks since getting back for him to get into routine (must admit we've all been sick since getting home) so I think I'll be able to forgive him He's back to sleeping through the night as of last night.

DH has organised an overnight trip for us on the 20th (he's got my mum coming to stay to look after Declan). Not sure how I'll go since I haven't spent a whole night away from my boy only a couple of hours to go to dinner and to watch a movie (I called before going into the cinema for a checkup). Looking forward to it at the same time though. Have any of you spent the night away from your bubs?

Theresa - Good to hear Em's feeding tube is going well. That would have been the scariest thing seeing Georgie having the convulsion but glad she is back to her usual self again. I also hear you about the unpacking (packing is ok) this time last year we were doing the big move from Hamilton Island to Brissy.

Nic - Eye teeth are the pointy ones (you have the 2 front teeth then the ones beside them, well the eye teeth are the ones beside them.

Shell - Spot on for the eye teeth. Yay on Holly figuring out the rattle toy. Just wait till she drops it out of her reach, Declan's been doing this and gets very frustrated when he can't get it while on tummy time.

Abs & Sush - Don't worry about the comments it's not like you are feeding them burgers each and everyday. It might just mean your bubba's on about to go on a growth spurt. I notice with Declan he gets nice and chubby just before he grows in length.

Jacci - Lol at Charlie doing the commando crawl that would look so cute.

Bec - Hope you get more sleep tonight.

Hi to everyone else. But this has taken awhile since I've been typing while feeding but Declan's just realised what I'm playing with and has decided he'd like to play with it instead of feed so I better put the laptop up while I finish feeding him.

    Ciao for now.

    Hi Amy
I was supposed to spend the night away from home at the beginning of October, but couldn't stand it, so drove home - and back out to where I was first thing in the morning (just under an hour each way) - the first day of that weekend was the longest I'd been away from my boy since he was born

Hey all, just put Deckers to bed lets home I don't hear from him for awhile the best he has done is 6hrs straight so that would be good followed by another 4 or so and I would be in heaven an average night he wakes 3 times I think it might be more of a seperation anxiety thing or maybe my milk just doesn't keep him full I have started giving him a formula feed in the evening now he took the bottle tonight no problems lets hope he continues this mind you he is still yet to take the bottle from someone other than me! He and I just have too much of a strong bond it isn't going to be good when I eventually go back to work I dunno if I told you guys or not that a quit my job at Jumbo and I am trying to get enough money together to become a MIAA member and work for myself but it is starting to look like that wont happen as a full on thing so I am starting to look for a ft job I am aiming to get back working for the government again just as a clerk or something so then when I go back for no. 2 I get 6mths paid leave!
Well best be going I have a resume to put together for a job as a clerk at a primary school see how we go I am totally going to miss my little man so much when I do go back to work!

    Hi everyone!

I am so tired today, Abbey had the most restless night last night, I feel like I was awake the whole night. I have a feeling its her teeth, so before bed tonight I am going to give her something for that and we will see how it goes.

Abs.. hope jordy cheers up and that it was just from his needles.

    Becky... good luck job hunting

Amy.. Haven't had a night away from Abbey yet, don't think I could, the longest time so far has been maybe 2 hrs.. I am still bf exclusively though so it makes it harder. Yay for declan sleeping through again., wish abbey would lol

Going shopping for Abbeys cot mattress today, and will hopefully move her into that soon. Also going to get a highchair and see how she goes in that, What type does everyone have? Or which ones are good?

Amanda..... The first night away from baby is always hard... but I enjoyed my night without Alexa..... Finally I slept through the night LOL.....

Alexa has been in her highchari for awhile now... mine is one with a padded insert that reclines & it is just awesome..... I also have a bacis old style non reclining one at my friends for her, but she cant go in that one yet cause she cant sit up on her own & flops to the side LOL.... just take Abbey & try her out in them....

    Hi everyone.

Becky - I 'm hearing you with the no sleep - last night was the first time charlie has actually slept from 9.30 - 7.30 ( had to pop his dummy in at 4.30) other than that i have been up about 15 times a night!!! Its amazing that today i woke up feeling good....

Amanda - I love Charlie but i also need time to myself - I have only left him once and I was meant to pick him up at 12 the next day but couldn't wait that long and went there at 10.30 - he was so happy to c me he just lunged at me and cuddled me!

Abs - the Piggy thing would be cute.

Boy Babies!!! - I went to change charlie's nappy last night and he had and errection! - i freeked out!!! i had never seen him have one before - I was asking a friend today and she said her little boy got one at only 1 day old!!!!

Amanda - We have been putting charlie in his high chari from the age of 3 months he loves to watch us while we sit at the table and eat tea. hope you find a good one - mine turns into a table and chairs - it reclines and does everything.

Hope everyone is having a great day! Hi to everyone else - I lost racquetball today.... bugger! 6 month needles for charlie tomorrow------eeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhh i have to take gav so he can hold charlie coz i always cry!

    afternoon all
thought i'd pop in and see where all the bubs are up to it's an exciting time right now in our house Ryan has mastered the walker and can follow me into any room in the house or just keep himself occupied now which is good .. his also rolling ( has been for a while now ) but we haven't mastered the sleeping through the night thing YET ... hopefully that won't be to far away
i had him at the doctor yesterday and he has a ear infection so that could explain some of the fussy, emotional moments so he is now on antibiotics so hopefully he will back to his normal self really soon

Mitch..the sleeping all night would be the best part, I could handle that lol. Good idea about trying her in the high chairs, will have to do that.

    Shazz..hope ryan is feeling better

Jacci... lol at the erection, would've freaked me out too. I have heard about it happening before though. yay on getting a good night sleep...i'm jealous. That highchair sounds really cool. can I ask what brand it is?

hi all...gosh you miss so much in just a few days!

Jacci, you can get the teething dummies from Coles. That's where I got mine, although I haven't even used it - josiah's more interested in rattles.

Lisa - I'll definately be in on the SS, you've got my email.

Theresa - glad to hear things are going so well with Em and that Georgie is on the mend.

Amy - first night is hard, but SO worth it. As long as you trust the person you're leaving him with you can relax. If anything u might find he behaves better for them! I know my kids always do - sleep through, don't whinge, everything that u wish they'd do for you!

Becky - good luck with the job hunting. I am officially looking for another job as well, but only p/time. I'm sick of having to work for incompetent people - it does my head in. I will miss the girls I work with tho.

Mitch - glad to hear you're doing so well, how's things going with ur stepson?

Solids - I give Josiah his solids half way between bottles. He has a bottle at about 5.30am, solids at 7, nap at 8, bottle at 9.30 - something like that anyway.... he loves his food! I gave him some banana custard the other day and he gobbled it down! Normally, if I have to give him bought baby food rather than homemade he'll have about half a tin (the Heinz ones that are only fruit or veg, nothing else added), but the custard he wolfed down the whole thing!

Oh - and in other big news, Josiah started sitting up on his own over the weekend! He doesn't stay up for very long, but its getting longer every day - he just needs to figure out how to stay up now, coz he's getting grumpy about lying down! Our children are just growing up so fast...

Highchair - I've got a normal el-cheapo highchair that doesn't recline, but serves its purpose. I started putting Josiah in it over the last couple of days now he can sit and he loves it coz he can see so much further than when he's in his rocker. He doesn't stay in it for more than 10 mins atm coz he's tummy muscles get tired and the chair doesn't recline, but its still good to have him occupied for that length of time.

Anyway, best be off to have a shower - just got back from the gym - I'm going to miss it when my membership expires next month....

Happy Birthday to anybody celebrating over the last couple of weeks, sorry I missed them....

Hope everyones having a good day

    Bel

ETA - hehe Jacci...Josiah had one the other day, it gave me a shock, he thought it was hilarious! When my 3yo brother gets them he cries!

oh Jacci that dummy is called a "gummy" but dont know what brand it is.
also was it u that said if only they make baby straight jackets?! not that i have one but there is this blanket thing u can buy its called a sleepwrap. (always advertised in PP magazine) if ur interested i'll pm u the website (not sure how much they cost) they look pretty good and says from birth-3yrs. its like a sheet u tuck into the sides then in the middle where bub lies you actually wrap this thing around their waist. its part of the Safr T sleep so sure its safe.
Nixon's not really rolling much so havent had the bedtime problem yet but if it becomes an issue might invest in one of these.

oh and boys & errections yes Nixon has had this LOL i noticed he got it just b4 he weed so now if i see it i quickly cover that bit!!!

nup, not seen that happening yet with Jordy - and if Jen has seen it, I would have been told right away

though I'm sure all your DH's will confirm that we all had em as children and wondering why this happens and that it sure feels good

Yep Declan has had the same thing happen on a number of occassions. It was a real suprise to see it the first time I did.

Abs - I need some help with what I'm doing for my dad's 50th. I've created a slide show of photos from throughout his life. I'm trying to add music that will play throughout the show. Only problem is that it only seems to play on one slide and then the show doesn't continue playing. Just wondering what I'm doing wrong. If its easier you can email me the way to put the music on.

    Cheers
