I guess it might for a short time nickers, but seeing it takes time for the skin to actually break open with the tooth coming through, any blood vessels in the area have already been squeezed shut and probably closed off by then anyway ?? So I probably wouldnt expect it to be for very long

Nickers - I wasn't sure until I caught the moment Josiah's 2nd tooth came through. There was only a tiny tiny bit of blood, I only noticed coz I was playing with him at the time.

Lisa - OMG, Tyron looks SO cute! And don't worry, you look great. I've fallen off the wagon a bit at the moment with all the stress from my job and such, but I'm determined to get back on it ASAP.

abs - great news re your work trip, hope it works out for you...as long as you can still chat on BB!! :)

Jacci - glad you received the dummy ok, hope Charlie gets some use out of it.

Morning Ladies and Abs,

Flat out at the moment - just popped onto say hi while i am at work - won't be online all weekend - have disconected the internet at home - We are sanding back the floors and polishing them - Charlie had a sleep over at grandma's last night - there is dust everywere in our house. Luckily we have a self contained bungalo out the back so we will be staying in that for a few nights.
Well beter go do some work - hope you all have a great weekend.

And thx Bel :D Who knows if it will happen, or when - I'd also have to get approval from my current work area to let me go too, most of my calls are when something goes kabing, and if it happened like at 8.30am this morning thats like 10.30pm in the UK - I'd have to bring some of the others who might be able to do it, up to speed on the way this setup works... assuming they have the security clearance in the first place


Jen's going out with a friend during lunchtime, I've gotta go pick up a couple of things, might grab some flowers whilst I'm out too :p And we have Jen's mums bday on Sunday, so gotta cut the back lawn at some stage later today or tomorrow as well - damn stuff grows really quickly this time of year

ohh how sweet Abs flowers are always a nice gesture. DH used to buy them for me all the time... hmmm have not had any for a very long time!!

we had to do a complete change at midnight last night. Nixon wet through everything incl the bed sheets/matress protector. but after being up with him for about 45min he was a good boy and slept till 8am! we've been for a nice walk thismorning now we gotta go do the grocery shopping.

Shell... I NEVER really had my milk come in.... the running joke at work (which is all males apart from me) is that I am a dry old cow LMAO.....

oh Lisa i missed that bit back in your post. getting new cards for everything is the most annoying part. did they do much damage to the car?

Nickers - no they must of been pretty good at it, as there wasn't any damage at all, it is just a pain getting all my cards and trying to rmeember what cards where in there. They tried to use my ATM, thank god they couldn't use it as it is our offset account to our mortgage and has like way too much money in it!!!

Yes I am in the BB secret santa as well, I love Christmas, going to take the little man to get his photo with Santa, I bet he will scream the place down!!

mitch have 2 cup sizes of mine too. That would take me down to a C atm :rolleyes: My DH reckons he wants me to BF forever.

PMSL girls... I was fully filling a D maternity bra, now only a C, but I'm more than happy with that as they were just too heavy before. Although Sush my DH loved my BF BB's too but he wasnt allowed to touch most of the time which he hated, hehehehehe.

Well If I take all that is on offer I will go from a B to a EE OMG I ber Jeffs eyes would fall out LMAO.....

6 month =Weight 7.8kg length 67.5cm HC 44cm

oh i nearly forgot Ryan got his first tooth on Monday and his second one popped through today Bf is fun :eek: got to be on the ball and watch his face i can tell when his about to bite i take him off so no real damage yet

Still no sign of teeth here, but he is really starting to get this eating thing happening. Is sooo funny the faces Jordy pulls when it comes to food. Pear and Sweet Potato are his favourites so far, Pumpkin, various Farex, Apple and Banana (only tried that once though) are all a no go at the moment

Nixon's first tooth cut through yesterday! you can just feel this sharp little bit so i may have to be careful bf as the week goes by too!
I think the 2nd wont be far behind cutting through. How long do they generally take from first cutting through to being all the way up?

Abs, Charlie loves pumpkin most of all! Carrot and sweet potatoe aren't far behind. He's not fond of apples or pears, but am going to stew my own pears this weekend and will see if that makes a difference.

Yeah I saw ur ticker, cool Mitch. We were going to this mth but thought I'd try & shed a few more kgs first, have lost 1more, now 4 to go for pre-pg weight. I never thought of looking into if can get maternity leave b4 going back for another 12mths, but mine is unpaid. I just have to go back F/T for 4.5wks to get my 6.5wks LSL + will have 4wks A/L. Better check that huh, hehe. :)
Yeah my g'friend was induced at 35wks with a 3lb baby girl also due to IUGR, but her 2nd (boy) was normal sized, lets hope it's the same for u.

Hehehe on the teeth & feeding Shazz. Ryan's coming along nicely. U said it, yeah was just thinkin yesterday it's only 8wks away. I only fed Holly for 3wks after her 1st tooth came thru but luckily she didn't bite but in the first 8wks she did nothing but bite, hehe.

Nickers, Holly's 2nd tooth was just starting to cut through on a Tue & was thru by Thu. First was similar, however she was fine with the 1st but sooky with the 2nd. :)

Abs, we've only tried rice cereal, apple & pumpkin (homemade) so far & although screws face up at first, eventually hoes into it, hehe.

Nickers ~ ryan had a bit of a runny nose and a slight temp i thought we were in for another cold so i started to give him a dose of damazin and then feed him and it just din't feel right so i poked my finger in there ( brave ) and there it was and today it is half way up don't really sure how long it takes to come all the way up he really wasn't anymore whinger then normal ( lol is that a word ) and the second one i only knew he got that cause i was showing Nanny his tooth and bam now there is 2

Shell ~ wtg on the TTC and i really hope i can continue to BF we have come so far i so don't want to give up just yet

Abs ~ Ryan is eating mainly vegies he loves sweet potato and rice and pumkin and rice his not real fussed about them with out the rice though tonight he is trying sweet and brocoli (sp) puree i'm more determined to have a kid that likes his vegies ( my other 2 would live on sweets and dairy if i let them )

shell- yeah we've (well i should say I) have made everything Nixon has tried so far. Its quiet easy to steam & puree & i have been doing them in batches & freezing in ice cube trays etc. Nixon seemed to like pumkin aswell today. Actually he hasnt NOT eaten anything we have given him! next on the list is some more vegies (maybe zucinni) & also bought some of those little yoghurts to try.
ok cool so doesnt take long for the tooth to come up then.

That's what i do too Nickers, 3 pieces of pumkpin pureed made 8 ice cubes = 4 meals at moment. The time it takes for a tooth to come thru varies greatly from what I've been told, some bubs have their tooth cut thru but it keeps going up & down, Holly's came thru relatively fast. :)

I would've prob fed Holly for bit longer if I hadn't had returned to work Shazz, so know what u mean, go for it. :)

Yes Tariq is my first bub! He arrived a day after his due date.. could not believe how big he was! 4.2kg sooo did'nt expect it! Had great pregnancy and labour(natural birth) was very lucky.. He was colicky (I think silent reflux) for the first 4 months but now thank god he is wonderful and happy!
yes u pronounce ta-rik..my husband is turkish/muslim and it means 'the morning star'
I live on the sunny Gold Coast and just love the support on this forum! Love breastfeeding and attachment parenting.. well co-sleeping/BF and following babies lead.
