Yeps, I'm doing a spring clean so I can put up the tree! Not sure if i should put it up downstairs in the "formal" room or upstairs where we live. Pip might enjoy it more up here. Will need a barrier around it methinks.
I'm getting more confident with food! Pip had about a quarter of an avocado on Thursday, and Friday night had pasta with pumpkin, sweetcorn & apple. Yesterday morning he had yogurt for the first time! But no poo yesterday, hmmm.
Jen - ouch.
Erin - enjoy your Brekky & Anniversary! Try also just ozebaby dot com dot au, lots of great stuff there, and also buyforbaby dot com etc!
Actually, might check there for child gate!

Hi girls,
Glad to hear everyone is well. We are too. We stayed at mums last night since DH was on night shift for work. Lily slapt the night through- 8 until 6.45...little bugger! She always does it at mums but has only once done it at home. I have no idea why. Maybe cause at mums shes in the porta cot and when she spits her dummy she can find it again. In her cot she spits it out and it falls on the floor. I don't know!!
Mel, ooh porr Olivia! I haven't been game enough to try tomatoes or onions yet. I have a feeling they will be too acidic for Lil's tummy yet.
Good luck with dress shopping, the red one sounds lovely. Such a festive colour!!
Jen, we all know you're a GREAT mum! :) We all have times when we feel like it all goes wrong, at least I do! I feel so in love with Lily too, I know what you mean. It's amazing the kind of love that it is. It's so different from anything else.
Yup, little missy here is up on all fours too, though she can't really figure out what to do with herself yet, it's very cute.
Erin, we just put our chrissy tree up too, it makes christmas seem real! This year has gone so so fast. I had a flash back of putting up the tree last year and being pg. It just made it all seem like everything has flashed before my eyes, like life has been in fast forward.
:happyforyou:Happy anniversay!
Kaz, definately put the tree up where you are all the time, then you can enjoy it more ;). There's such a short time that you can enjoy it make the most of it!
He only ate half an avo.....Lily must be a piggy then, she eats half of one and sometimes looks for more! She loves her avo's.
Ok gonna go and be domesic!
Happy sunday :D

Kel -
Today he had a whole half. It was the first time he tried it.
But today we have constipation, no idea why.
-
Thanks everyone for the tips ill give them a go! hope

Morning ladies!
Well Pip keeps losing his voice - not sure why, if he's learnt that making no-voice squeals gets lots of attention, or something else. doing my head in!
Nice long sleeps lately, from about 10pm to 9am, just wish I could get him to sleep around 7pm instead! Still constipation, poor little boy had a bit of a cry during Sunday night, and I went in, checked him and thought his nappy smelt, couldn't see anything. So I keps settling him ,,, in the morning found he had pood, but it was up his back and dried / stuck on. Poor chap, had to sponge it off. Yesterday's "efforts" produced avocado that went through - does avocado cause constipation?
I've been feeding him banana-flavoured cereal, custard, yogurt, pumpkin, sweet potato, apple puree, corn and pasta alphabet.
This morning I think I'll give him stewed pears with yogurt ... the pears should soften things down.
Anyhows, I dropped a PM to Krisvee yesterday, wondering if she's OK!

Hi girls! Well, I had the best intention of stopping in here every couple of days, but we went camping on the weekend and I've been trying to catch up on fun stuff like housework and laundry since we got back. Had a fantastic time though, Ben loves the beach. I took him out of the water and sat him in his sunshade and when his daddy came back and was standing in the water he wanted to go straight to him so he could go swimming again. Such a water baby!
Jen, it must have been scary to see Beau take his tumble! Ben's bumped his head a few times and I feel awful that I didn't stop it. I guess we'd better get use to it though, there will be plenty more bumps, scrapes and bruises.
A sailor suit?!? We had Ben in a mini tux for my sister's wedding and he was gorgeous - if I do say so myself
Kaz, I'm trying Ben on just about any food other than egg whites, cows milk, honey and nuts these days. He's loved everything I've tried from tomato to fish to onions. Whatever we offer him he'll eat - typical male! I did find that avacado and bananas stuffed him up a bit though so I only offer those to him every now and then. I'm glad you PMed Kris, it's unlike her to be away from us for so long!
Jt welcome! Try a sipper cup with EBM in it too. I don't know if it will work - Ben won't have EBM at all anymore, but will have water in his sipper cup without any problem. Strange child that he is!
Kel, what are you studying? How are you going with being away from Lil? I don't know how I'm going to cope with going back to work next year. The longest I've been away from Ben was at my sister's wedding for seven hours, and I knew he was asleep for six of those hours!!! I know - I'm hopeless!
Erin, that's so cute that Charlie is up and rocking on all fours! Ben is too lazy for that. He'll lean forward onto his hands and knees to grab a toy, but then he'll push himself back down to a sitting position. I have the laziest baby in history!
Mel, I say go for the red dress too! :D
I'd better get off to bed, I think I'm getting a cold. Sore throat and a bit stuffy in the sinuses. I sure hope it's not a cold :(
Have a good night all :)

HEy Everyone,
Just to let you know, as I was a bit concerned too, Kristie has posted in her other thread (i think its Sept-October '05). Shes just been busy with work and stuff. But she sounds ok:)
As with us, Olivias back to waking once overnight with the whole moving in the cot and has trouble going back to sleep, so she just comes into bed with us til she falls asleep again. Shes up on her habds and knees rocking and crawls backwards...so not long now. Still no teeth, but lumpy red gums and a very rashy bottom. Shes fine though.
Me- well i went to the dentist yesterday and I have to get 4 fillings next week:( And I still havent got a dress but am not too fussed at the moment...will probably get one off ebay!!
Well, got to go, am getting the dog clipped today and have to force myself to clean the bathroom.
Take care all

Hi Again,
Two posts in a row!!! We had a yucky day yesterday, Olivia had her first tanty at the shopping centre and was totally grizzly for the rest of the day. She basically cried and needed to be held/entertained all the time, wouldnt have her afternoon nap. Eventually she went to sleep...at 7pm. I thought she would be up all night, but she woke at 6am. Grizzled a few times overnight and when I went to check on her she was sleeping on her tummy. This morning shes had a feed and a play and has fallen asleep on my bed... on her tummy.
Its definately her teeth, I can now say that with confidence. They are all lumpy and red, shes rubbing her tounge on her gums, dribbling and chewing on everything. I can see the bottom 2 but I can also see, I think, the eye teeth, not the ones next to the front, but the ones after them. And her top gums are a bit red too. Am hoping this happens quickly.
I got her a photo with Santa yesterday, before the tanty, and she loved him. Now when she sees him on tv, she watches intently.
Well, hope everyone is ok, I have to go and do some Christmas shopping today, I think there are some sales starting
Take Care

Hey there...
Well I worked yesterday but surprise surprise my nanny took B for his first photo with Santa! Not a happy bunny! but the photo is not nice so there is a valid reason for me to have another one done! Like Olivia, Beau now is very interested in Santa on telly....
I have a very sleepy boy on my hands today - he went down at 7 last night and I woke him at 7:30am this morning as I kept going in to check cause I was worried! Then he went back down after a bottle at 8:30am and has just woken now at 10:30! I have a killer migrane so maybe he knows?
His bum is red too so maybe it is teeth?
Feel a bit silly today after having a massive teary with my friend yesterday about how things are not the same now with DH and I, Has anyone else noticed a dramatic shift in their relationship or is it just me?
Dis- nice to hear from you! So cute that Ben loves the water...what a cutie! Hope your cold didnt eventuate!
Ok enough rambling, B is in his cot coughing , squealing and making chomping sounds so I will pay him some attention..better go!
-
Ouch Mel, a tanty already? Do describe what you mean by a tanty?
Poor little soul. Pip now has 3 teeth (the top left came in) and the other top tooth is breaking the surface. I've found rusks, em-33 gel and panadol are sanity-savers here. Also putting their teething toys in the fridge - specially the gel-filled ones.
Jen - ouch on the migraine. Bright side: you're not pregnant so can take meds! Don't feel silly about your teary session - its healthy to do that, instead of bottling everything up.
I'm waiting for some $$$ to be put into my account so I can spend them :D Hopefully this Friday, else I have no idea what I'm going to use for Xmas shopping.
Last night Pip fell asleep hugging the bars of the cot, almost biting the wood. No idea what's happening there, but we couldn't take photos cause we didn't want to wake him with the flash!
Question - feeds.
So I'm waking him around 7:30am, give him a bottle @ 8amish. He then plays and naps at about 9am-11:30-ish. Midday I give him his solids - at the moment we're liking baby yogurt with fresh fruit (mango, apricot, stewed pear, stewed apple) and he will have an entire tub of the baby yogurt. Otherwise we'll do custard & banana cereal mixed together. That will take about 15mins to finish. Then more of a play, and possibly another bottle around 2pm, then down for another nap until about 4:30ish. Then around 5:30 another bottle, solids (atm pasta & mashed carrot / pumpkin) at 6:30 and bed around 8pm.
So he's having 3 bottles and 2 solids a day ...
is that about what everyone's doing?
Have a good day ladies.

Hey,
Olivias Tanty consisted of....we were in the green grocer and she was eating the cauli leaves, so I took them off her, gave her a banana instead, then I had to take the nana off her to pay for it, she started screaming and when shes angry, she does this shaking thing and a grunting scream. I took her to a seat to feed her the nana, she did the shake and tense thing then just started screaming. So i tried to comfort her, thought she was hungry and offered her lunch to her...then we just left, she absolutely cracked it. Hope that was a good enough description....she just tense up and shakes!
We are doing 4 bottles a day and 3 meals, granted the meals are smallish and she has trouble with chuncks.
Jen, hope you are feeling better. Nothing wrong with a good cry, especially for a valid reason. I was very aware that I was leaving DF out when Olivia was first born, but I made sure that he was aware that I was aware, iykwim. Maybe if you talk to him about it, its not really fair. Am hoping that you get quality time together.
My rolly polly girl is going great guns and I am sure she will suprise me any day now with crawling. I almost had my first accident with her as she was sleeping on my bed this morning and when she woke, I left her there for a few minutes, by the time I got there her head was over the edge of the bed. I just have to remember to be so careful.
Oh...and no teeth:(

Urgh, had the worst day yesterday and today is shaping to be not much better. I suppose it's still not too bad, but I'm not use to it! Ben wants me all the time and is sooky with his teeth coming in. He can't/won't sleep (we were up until midnight last night and then up at 7am) and I just can't get anything done! Oh well, I think I will just resign myself to a no-housework day and deal with bubba. It must hurt them so much!
Hello to you all, but I have to get back to Ben - personals another time :)

Hi!
Omg – I’ve been away for ages!!! Yes, me and the kids are fine – I’ve just been super busy…So sorry I haven’t been in to let you know all is well…
I’m having issues with Dylan feeding at the moment – he doesn’t want a bar of the boob by the afternoon which is driving me nuts and most days is only having 3 milk feeds…His sleep is going quite well at night though after the initial pains of getting the boys both to sleep! He’s getting into all sorts of mischief with his crawling and standing – pulling the rubbish lid off, trying to crawl outside, trying to climb on the couch! He’s very cute though – I don’t who was asking a while ago but he actually gives me gorgeous little cuddles now – Louis never did that this young!!
I know your not meant to yet but we’ve put a pillow in for Dylan – It just looks so much more cosy! We put one in early for Louis as well…mind you most of the night he spends every which way in the cot anyway! Hehe.
Melissa – I hope Olivia’s night sleeps are sorted now!! I suppose it’s just all new to her!!
Yeah on Olivias 8 month check – wow – where has all the time gone??? She sounds like she’s doing sooo well! I’ve got Dylans on the 29th??
Wow at losing so much weight – well done!! Good luck ttc in the new year!! It should be a very exciting year with a few of us wanting to get p/g again!!
Big hugs – I hope your over your meltdown!! It’s so hard sometimes!! I haven’t had tears for a while so I’m sure I’m due soon. Dh is away from tomorrow until Monday night so I’m sure I’ll have some over the weekend – the boys are so hard to get to bed that I’m sure I’ll freak out! Hehe.
Wow – she really doesn’t like tomatoes hey?? I still haven’t tried yet. I’m still on all the boring stuff with Dylan. I must cook a roast dinner to give him something different!! But that’s cos I make a big pot of it and freeze it in portions so I have like 10 or 15 ready to go! I just don’t have time to cook it regularly!
Good luck with the dresses – just go with what you like!!
Ooh hope her toothy pegs come through soon – poor little thing! Hope you got your xmas shopping done!
Oh no on the tantrum – trust me they just get worse!! LOL! Dylan cracks it as well when I take things off him…
Kaz – Ooh Dylan loves sleeping on his tummy too! Yeah at another toothy peg!! Dylan loves remotes – we’ve got an old one with batteries out that he can play with! I think they just want anything that they’re not supposed to have!
Hope you got some nappies! How annoying that they changed them!!!
Don’t stress – I’m sure he’ll get used to the xmas tree quickly – Dylan had one look at it and I told him no a couple of times and now he doesn’t touch it…
With the constipation – is he having much water?? I know with the warmer weather they can end up a bit thirsty? And the solids as well…maybe offer him some after each meal?
Aww how cute falling asleep in the cot – Dylan nearly falls asleep in his highchair everynight!! I got him quickly bathed tonight though so he was sleepy after his milk and went to bed easily….
Wow Kaz – so Pips only having 3 bottles?? But I bet they’re big ones?? I’m certain Dylan doesn’t get as much milk from me as the kids get from a bottle…
I’m thinking they’re meant to have 4 milk feeds until 9 months?? That’s when you swap it from being milk first to solids first…but if he’s content I’m sure it’s fine!
Erin – Glad you had a great holiday – sounds amazing!! Charlie sounds like he’s going great – wow what a big boy!! Dylan will be lucky to be 8kg!! That’s great he’s eating well – I must say Dylan eats quite well – we just have the milk issue!! Wow – you are super organised for xmas!! Wow!!
That’s great he loves the water – Dylan does as well – I’ll be starting his lessons in the new year!
Yep – I’m loving xmas as well!! Especially for Louis though as he’s all excited about Santa and knows he’s getting presents. I’ve gone a bit nuts with toys though…I’m in such big trouble! Hehe. The kids got a santa photo the other day! So cute – both managed smiles so that was great!
Wow, you sound so busy – hope you’re enjoying it all!
Yeah at Charlie getting up on all 4’s – won’t be long until all these bubs are on the move! Then you’ll all know it! LOL!
I give cruskits with butter/veg on them and he at a whole one today!! Seemed to work a bit better than the toast – Dylan sucks on it as well – sometimes he manages to eat a bit but it’s not too successful.
Happy Anniversary
JenSam – Well done on the sleeping!!! It’s so worth it!! Ooh – loving the little pudding pj’s from Peter alexander… Soo cute..very tempted to buy it but how much will he actually where it??
Toys are hard at this age – Dylans favourite is a fisher price learning table – he is forever standing up at it and pressing all the buttons!!! Definitely a great investment!
I’ve done rice in the drink bottle – I just put a few drops of food colouring in it as well to make it colourful!
Hope you got some great piccies!!
Big hugs at Beau falling off the bed…it’s horrible but it does happen!! Don’t feel bad, I’m sure he’s fine – we usually get more of a fright than they do! Dylan hasn’t done it yet but Louis did it…but, Dylan fell over outside the other day when he was standing on the edge of the sandpit – bit egg on his head from falling head first on the pavers – ouch – looked awful! Of course you’re a good mum!! We would never think any different! Accidents happen to all of us!
Oh no – I would be upset if someone else took the kids to get the santa photo as well!!
Awww – it is a huge change in a relationship when you have a baby. I think Michael and I have coped with each other a lot better this time around…Just make sure you get some time out together on your own. Things will settle down I’m sure…
Kel – Wow on the teeth!!! That’s amazing! We still don’t have any here – not sign of them coming anytime soon either!! Hehe. Hope your exam went well – etc – sounds like it did! Hope your prac time is going well!
With the dummy falling out of the cot – have you tried putting a few in the cot?? Then she might find it more easily??
Disgirl – Good luck with the giving up junk food – I find this time of year it’s impossible!! I just need to find time to exercise…I haven’t done anything in ages.
Good luck TTC#2!!! How exciting!! Hope it doesn’t take too long!
Dylan has only 2 sleeps most days now….On good days he’ll have 1 ½ each time but usually it’s less…grrr!
Dylan seems to manage eating chunky food quite well…considering he doesn’t have teeth! Although Louis didn’t want a bar of it at all really…
Hope your not getting sick and are feeling better!
Big hugs – It’s so hard when they’re so demanding – hopefully he’ll settle for you soon!
Tiffanny – Omg – your elf suit sounds sooo cute!! You’ll have to put a piccie up!
J&T – Hi!! Your boys sound like mine!!! I have Dylan 7m and Louis was 2 in Oct!! Louis makes Dylan laugh more than anyone else I think (and prob makes him cry more as well though!)
Aww – that’s cute he wants his mummys booby juice so much! I know it can be frustrating but I was nearly crying the other night when Dylan kept pushing me away!! I think Dylan would go all day without it after his brekky feed! Little bugger.
I’ve given him a little bit of formula in just Tupperware sippy cup thing. He’s more likely to drink it out of that – Maybe try and avoid a bottle altogether and put it in a sippy or water bottle instead?? (hehe just read Kaz’s post…great minds!)
OK – I’ve been writing this in a word document all day….and now I’m sooo tired! But – had a great night out for dinner for a friends birthday and had a great laugh which is good! At least I got some time out before dh is away for the weekend. So not looking forward to it! I’m going to miss him so much!
I promise to pop in more often! I just feel bad for not having time to reply to everyone sometimes!!

*hugs* Kris, great to see you!
Don't worry about personals, we just want to know how you and the boys are!
What a cheeky little man! I do the rice as well, I have a couple of them. Great on the chabge table... and.. I want cuddles!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Higirls, sorry I have been MIA for a few days, just really busy with uni and stuff. I will try to remember what you have all written on the previous page...
Disgirl, I am studying Early Childhood Teaching. I sooo can't wait til it's over. I just have this prac, one assignment and it's done! I am leaving Lily with Mum and DH when he's off work (he does shift work). It is so hard even though she's with people I trust. I call every day once or twice even though I know she's ok and I am hanging to get home by the time lunch rolls around!!
How cute that Ben loves the water so much. I haven't tried Lil at the beach yet...but she absolutely loves a deep bath and often goes under the water, only to come up with a smile...
Mel yep, we have had some tanties too, I can see that we will have some doozies in the future! She's already so good at them, she throws herself backwards and if I'm not careful she lands with a thump on the mat! Only done that once though. I have wisened to her wiley ways, LOL!
Jen, yep I have noticed big difference in our relationship too. We just don't get much us time anymore and everything is rush rush rush when we do. There are so many other things to do and unfortunately time for us as a couple seems to go by the wayside. We haven't DTD in....gosh I don't even remember when, about a month or so? We tried to the other night but Lil's got a DTD sensor and wakes up when we try ;) It's happened about three times now...
Kaz, Lily often falls asleep right up next to the cot bars too, with her arms or legs hanging out, and her blankie up over her head, it looks so cute! As for feeds, we are having three solids feeds, and three or four bottles a day. She's off her bottles lately though and often only drinks 1/2- 3/4 of one. She also has about 100ml of water.
Wow, Kristy, what a marathon post! You did well replying to everyone! Glad to hear everyone is well. And that Dylan is sleeping well again. Yep, prac is going ok, not as hard as I thought, but alot of work. It is hard to get back into the swing of being at work again.
Ok my princess is calling, gotta go, I hope everyone else is well.
-
HI!
Kaz - B is still on four milk feeds, three naps and three solid feeds a day...He is tired thru the day still and I cant string him out yet to two naps so I am just keepin' on, he is a happy bugger so I must be doing something ok! If what you are doing works...dont mess with it!
Kris - Nice to hear from you! What is it with bubbas and bins? Beau is forever trying to pull the bin liner out of the lid too!
Dis - Cling-ons are tough! Hang in there baby it will pass, can you put him in a bjorn or something so you can still do something?
Kel- Ditto on DTD !! How do they know??????
Us - B has been so good today, he woke up from his first nap at nine and I was meeting a friend for coffee at 11...but he was great til about 1pm, what a good boy! He is whinging now tho and refuses to have a nap even tho he has been rubbing his eyes non stop!
Anyway, its our wedding anniversary today, so hopefully we will all go out for dinner...

Wooohooo!! We have managed to sleep from 7.30 til 4.30 then until 7.15 for three nights, wooohoooo!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited maybe, just maybe were breaking that 12-1am bottle habbit.....:D
-
Hope you had a good anniversary Jen, and that B allowed some "mummy & daddy" time :D
WOOHOOO Kel!
-
Hi!
Hope you've all had a great weekend!! Mine's been really full on!
Dh has been away...so fri night my brother watched the kids while I had a bs party - Louis was up until 11pm!! Then cos he was awake I showed him some xmas lights on the way home! Sat we had to do a delivery and then my mum and my aunty, nieces, nephews etc all came over for fish and chips! It was great for the company but again - it meant the kids were in bed after 9pm!! I was going to spend the day at home today but my Nanna came down - she's 92 and not that healthy anymore so dragged the kids out again for a visit. Had a very lazy afternoon though which has been nice and managed to get the kids in bed by 8pm tonight!! Michael's home tomorrow afternoon so that will be great - I miss him!
Kel - Wow at Lily going under the water and loving it!! Thats great. I put Dylan under the water at the swimming pools and he was ok but I wouldn't say he loved it - LOL! Louis loves it though...
Oh no at the sensor going off when your about to dtd!!! That would be frustrating! It's so important to make the time for each other though!! I bought a gorgeous red & black slip the other day!! hehehe. He's still talking about it...!!! It was good too cos it hid my jelly belly! LOL! Nah but even just making the time to talk and pay each other attention is so important. It's when you don't that you end up having silly niggly arguments and stuff...
Woohoo on the great sleep!!! Hope she keeps it up for you!
Jen - Happy Anniversary!! Hope you have a great night!!
Hi Kaz, Melissa and anyone else I've missed!!

Wow its pretty quiet in here....
We had a pretty average anniversary - I have been super teary lately and our anniversary was no exception unfortunatley, but we went out on saturday night to my work's xmas party and I got very tipsy before we even got there! DH left early to get home to releive the babysitter as she had to work early the next day (bummer). But all was good and it was nice to go out as grown ups (first time since)
Kel - that is so awesome! How good is it sleeping? I know we miss it but once you have it again its too good to be true! Hope it continues. thats great you havnt done any control crying or anything xxx
Kris - thats great you have been doing so much Xmas socialising! And the boys too! You are so right about the making time for each other...DTD is becoming a rarity around here! We broke the drought on the weekend tho thankgod, go the belly concealing nightie!
Kaz - thanks for the anniversary wishes!
B and I are doing great, he has been missing his arvo sleep regularly now which is a bit of a killer, from around 2pm til 7! Its a bit of a whingefest at the end - he is in the hallway at the moment playing with my favourite black suede heels that are there form Saturday night when I snuck in at 2am...he is quiet tho so I dont mind!
I made a big layby at Kmart today of lots of toys for him for Xmas (I am late starter I know) - he test ran them and seemed to like all the noises on the books and toys but I am sure he will like the wrapping paper better...
Ok should go and rescue my heels!
-
Hi!
Jen - Sorry to hear your anniversary wasn't as great as you'd hoped - thats great you got a night out though on the weekend!! It is fun to escape every now and then! LOL!
Dylan misses that sleep all the time and it drives me nuts but I can't make him go to sleep!! and we're usually too busy for me to lie down with him to really encourage it...
Yeah at your xmas shopping! How fun is it?? Such an exciting time!
Hehe - they always want to play with the things they're not supposed too!
I've been having trouble with Louis being nasty to Dylan at the moment - it's only started in the last couple of weeks but he's been hitting him really hard on the head and then I caught him before standing on his leg!!!! OMG!!! I've been sending him to the door and taking toys off him but he just doesn't get it...I was so made the other day I gave him a bit of a smack on the bum - but then realised how silly that is because I want him to stop hitting!!!! Sometimes it's hard though - I was brought up in a family that smacked all the time so I think when you get angry you just go back to what you know - I don't know if that makes sense??? Anyway - its an effort to not do as my mother did (It wasn't bad or anything but just not the way I want to do things...)
anyway, enough of my writing rubbish - hehe - I'm waiting for dh to get home as I have a party to do tonight and I'm really nervous he won't get home in time...I've even resorted to asking my Dad to come over if he's not going to make it...I hope he makes it in time...Dad won't have a clue what to do with the kids...

HEy,
Just a quick one from me...just got 4 fillings, so am going to relax:)
Olivias bottom teeth are sharp...so does that mean they are coming through, or will they go up and down til they decide to come out? She wont let us near her mouth and last night she was awake crying every half hour or so until I put her in bed with us around 2. Her poos yesterday were super watery. Other than that, shes ok. We had our last swimming lesson and have re-enrolled her for next term. Oh and the Christmas tree has been a big insentive for her to move across the lounge...
Well take care,
Love Melissa

Hi!
Wow - where is everyone?
We had a huge day - took the kids to see the Wiggles!! It was a great show and I'd highly recommend to take the kids - maybe next year?? Dylan did really well considering he'd hardly slept! Loved all the lights and music and Louis just had a ball!!!
Melissa - Wow on getting 4 fillings - big hugs! Yeah at Olivia having a tooth through - doesn't sound like it will go back down now!!! Woohoo! Yeah on her starting to move also!!
Dh and I had big arguments last night and today which was really awful considering he'd just been away...I think we're just both tired and cranky...made up tonight though so all is well!!! You need to vent every now and then!!
Better get some sleep - chat later!

Ouch on the fillings Mel! Oh goodness, how much is mini-moo moving now? Is she crawling? Rolling?
Kris - *hugs* yes, venting is needed sometimes. DF & I have had a few D&M's lately which is good. Wiggles! Goodness! I know that Pip loves watching them on teev .... Not good on Loius :( I think that all of us will find ourselves doing things our parents did and we said we'd never do - it's when we recognise that we are doing that and stop ourselves that we show our strength. Even if we have to stop ourselves every day! *hugs*
Us - Ummmm well. No more constipation. I think the poor lad is over it - the pumpkin/peas helped it all out I think. He's very close to crawlling, he's moving forwards without rolling. Not to the Christmas Tree, but everything else! So I've just finished moving everything off the floors and have the lounge/dining room ready for the boy, but they are polished wood floors. *shrugs*
(cause we're renovating, DF has a habit of just dropping assorted tools etc around everywhere, I put all his tools away, he's going to be so stuffed trying to find them on the weekend!) And I feel so much better knowing I can actually clean easily!
It's our MG Xmas party on Friday, I'm hosting it (doh) but it can't be upstairs where the christmas tree is, cause you have to walk through a construction zone to get here. Downstairs it is - nice & cool there too.
Anyhows ladies, have a lovely day!

HEyho,
Survived yesterday, but my fillings feel weird and as a consequence I cant have anything too hard..it hurts too much, so no doubt that will aid in my weight loss!!!! Although i tend to eat up after stuff like this!!! I have lost 6.5kgs in just over 3 months and I feel good and actually I look good too...its nice when you can say that about yourself!
Livvys teeth, well the right bottom one is still there, so we have a tooth, yay. She has the biggest teething rash on her face..so much drool. I put some barrier cream under her chin and a bit on her cheek, seemed to do the trick. As for the movement, she doesnt really crawl properly, but shes determines, so gets everywhere and is pulling on stuff. We got a safety gate off ebay yesterday, now I need the motivation to clean the area we have for her. Most of its DFs stuff...xbox, cds, laptop, soundsystem. I'll do my best and he can do the rest when he has time (flat out working..self employed, Christmas rush).
Good to hear from you Kristie, sounds like you and the boys had heaps of fun at the Wiggles. Oh no on Louis smaking up Dylan. I never really thought about smaking and trying to teach not to smack..iykwim. When I grew up we got a tap on the hand or bum, that was about it..so it bring me to think about how to discp, line Liv. I worked in a Child Psychiatric unit where they did all the time out chairs and "you NEED to ...." It was good training. I have no Idea how I'll do it, suppose I will just wait to I need to do something.....sorry about the rambling.
Kaz, have fun at MG party, we have ours next week:) Glad Pip isnt choced up anymore....nothing worse.
Hello everyone else, i hae to go and settle the girl for a nap.
Take it easy
Love Melissa

Hi!
Well we've had no hitting so far today so thats good news...I do think it's a lot worse when he's tired and we've been really busy etc...
Dh just messaged me that he's going to be away this weekend also..GRRRR!!!! I feel like a single mum at the moment!!! It's all just too much!!!
Kaz - yes it's going to have to be a very conscious effort not to end up like my Mum - LOL!!! You'll all get used to baby proofing the house very soon by the sounds!! Enjoy your mg xmas on Fri!! Your brave for having it - wait until they're all running around and you may change your mind! hehehe.
Melissa - Sorry to hear your fillings are giving you trouble - wow - what an effort!!! Thats so good that you feel great about it as well!!
There's so much to think about when the kids get bigger!!! I try and read up as much as I can to make sure I'm doing the right things...I use time out with Louis - I have for about a year I think! He goes to the back door for a min or 2, then he says sorry and we have a big hug!!
Better get some stuff done - I'm being so slack - I haven't achieved anything at all but it's the first day I've just been at home for ages...maybe I should just have a rest! LOL!

We're off the page again.....
The moo has settled down with her teeth, when I can get a look in her mouth I can see the tips of the teeth> she has very dry skin/rash still on her face/chin, but its getting better with sorbalene. Over the past 5 or so nights I have been putting her to bed fully awake...previously she would fall asleep in my arms....we are having ok luck with it, although it does take a while for her to sleep. She rolls and rolls andgets stuck, but eventually settles. And I have been doing it too with her afternoon nap. Just thought I'd try some sort of routine, but am still pretty flexible with what she wants.
Shes dropped a bottle, so its 3 bottles and 3 solids and tonight she had a bowl of mince and vegies and cheese and didnt gag like usual.
Me, I have felt crap since the fillings and havent eaten properly, but tonight I had pasta bol and have already thrown some of it up (sorry tmi). Have felt sick all day. Am hoping its just a bug, dont think I am preggas coz I am still on the pill...but you never know. If I dont feel better tomorrow I will get a HPT and see whats the go.
Hope you are all well and bubs are going well too.

Hi girlies,
Just a quickie from me. Sorry I have been MIA. Prac is taking alot out of me and we have been having a nit of a family crisis too, so not much time to myself. We are good, LIly is aalllmmoossstttt crawling and is getting very frustrated with herself when she can't figure out how to move herself, hehe its so cute! She's face planted the floor a few times trying to launch herself forwards though, ouch! Ok gonna go, I hope all is well.

HI girls!! I know I'm a bit of a stranger in here these days but i do read whats going on in here now and then! I cant believe theres munchkins with teeth and crawlers and all!!
Charlotte has been comando crawling for a while now but has just started to prop herself up on her bub now and i will walk out of the room for a second only to go back in and find her on the other side of the room and sitting!
I had her 8 month check the other day and she is a monster compared to her sister. She is 9.1 kg and 71cm long! Her big sis is only 11kg! She is getting very heavy to carry now, cant wait untill she is helping out and holding on when i pick her up! Dylan is definately a light weight compared to chacha Kristie!!
I have a question to those of you in here who are formula feeding??? Are you still doing a night feed? I was told by my MCHN to stop charlottes one but its the one bottle she scoffs down.
Also - have you all started giving water in sippy cups yet?
OK, off to bed now
-
Heys Cindy,
Pip only has 3-4 feeds a day, about 240mls each.
8amish, 11amish, 2pmish and 7pmish. If he misses his solids at night, then sometimes an 11pmish feed. That;s it. Solids at midday and 6pmish.
And yeps, water in sippy cup, it's been warm lately. Plus he has teeth - need to rinse them before bed!
-
Hey there everyone, MIA once again. So busy ATM I just can't keep up. Had a big Chrissy dinner with my brother who came to visit & will miss Christmas day...lots of fun.
Happy Anniv to Jen (sorry I'm a bit late).
News here, turns out Charlie now has 4 teeth & I only just discovered them. Two top ones, though not the ones it supposed to be LOL. DH said he looks a bit funny, its the next ones along.
Hi Cindy, can't say I've ever been told to cut that bottle out. To me that's the most important as it's what puts him off to sleep & how he knows it's bed time. If he doesn't want it then we usually get a 4am wake up, otherwise through til morning. Yes, it's over 40 up here so Charlie has water all the time.
Ok, got to go. If I don't get back on here before I head away hope you all have a GREAT CHRISTMAS with bubs & you all get spoilt. Safe travels.
P.s got the Chrissy PJ's, one says "my first christmas" the other is "show me the presents", very cute.

Hi!
geez - no teeth here yet!! Not that I'm expecting any anytime soon! I've booked Dylan in for gymbaroo for term 1 next year which I know he's going to love - it will be the 2 of us only as well which will be nice! And he'll do swimming as well!
He finally started bopping to music the last couple of days!! I'm sure Louis was doing that by now - but then again I had the dance school then so he was around music all the time!
Melissa - thats great your getting her down to sleep awake!! I do that with Dylan but lately he's been really difficult. I ended up feeding him at around 8.30pm last night and then he settled a bit more...just hates going to sleep at night...only had one wake up after that though - around 2am and then slept until 6am...
Ooh wonder if your p/g??? How exciting - doesn't sound normal to throw up after fillings??? When will you test?? Let us know straight away!!
Kel - sorry to hear you're so buys and had some dramas! I hope it all settles down soon! Yeah on Lily nearly crawling!
Cindy - Hi!! My gosh - she's is sooo much bigger than Dylan - I assume about the same length though?? We have Dylans check on the 20th.
Dylans having 4 day feeds - no night feeds although like last night his last one was a bit later cos I just don't seem to have enough milk earlier than 4 hours after his last feed...I even gave him some formula last night before he went down first just because I'm so worried about it....I probably haven't been looking after myself as well either...
So do you mean middle of the night feed or like a 10pm feed?
Yep - Dylan has water - and he's now worked out how to drink from Louis' shrek water bottle! LOL! So funny to see him lifting up a big water bottle for a drink! hehe.
Erin - wow on all those teeth! Aww the pj's sound so cute!! Have a great Chrissy!!
K - off to the park this morning and then lots of shopping....better run!
-
Hi all,
Just did the test yesterday and am NOT pg. Didnt think so, but am still feeling sick, especially after eating my dinner. I just cant seem to eat a big meal and when I try, its painful and if I have anything to drink after it, it hurts even more..right at the top of my tummy. Maybe my stomach has shrunk with weight loss...could be a good thing, or maybe its a bug. And one of my fillings is still giving me trouble when I bight down...must be hitting a nerve, so I will call the dentist on Monday.
Good to hear from you Erin and wow at Charlies 4 teeth. Sounds like they didnt give you too much trouble. Glad you finally got your pjs too!
Hey Cindy, long time no hear. Hope you and the girls are well. Olivia has just dropped down to 43 bottles a day. Do what you think Char wants and needs...whatever youre comfy with And she is a big girl. I have a little one, shes only 8.3kgs and 68cm. And Liv drinks water all the time. When she was littler, I would give her a sip out of my glass, now I just put her sippy cup next to her on the floor and she has it when she wants.
Kel congrats at Lil crawling. Hope things are going well for you.
Hey Kristie. How are you and the boys? Must do a catch up again soon. Jymbaroo sounds like fun, must looking into it, but we're already doing swiming again next term. Hope you had fun shopping...Got mine out of the way, its so busy out there!
Hello to everyone else
Love Melissa

Hello ladies,
Mel, hope you feel better soon, that tummy doesn't sound too good!
Kris - did you survive shopping? We went to knox on thursday night and it was a nightmare, i'm off there today with pip. Argh.
Erin - i seem to have lost a post i made earlier, so I hope you enjoyed your bro's visit. I'm sure the PJ's will be cute!
Us - MG breakup yesterday, we had 9 screaming babies here in the house trying to take a chrissie photo!! I have video , it's hillarious. Other than that, just looking for more wedding stuff. Pip now goes "da da da" like a sewing machine - starts off slowly and then ramps up the volume & speed! It's so funny, and DF loves it.
Anyhows, we're off now. byes!

Hi girls,
Sorry haven’t been around much lately. Phoebe has discovered she can roll everywhere so I’ve been playing catch the kid most days. She is just starting to get up on her knees and I’m hoping that the Chrissie tree is not going to be the incentive to get going lol We had her Santa photo done and she luuuuurved him. Got a big smile for the photo. No teeth yet either, I don’t think they are ever going to come through. She is just on 8kgs now. I had her weighed last week coz my arm was starting to get sore from holding her lol I went through her pics from the SCN the other day and I can’t believe she was ever that little. I’m actually excited about Christmas this year YAY! It’s a tradition in our family to do brekky but no one is going to be around this year, my sis has her IL’s, mum is working, dad is going to the cemetery, and usually we don’t see my little bro until well past midday. So I’m a little miffed at that.
Mel- I hope you feel better soon.
Erin-I hope you have a nice time away. Yay on Charlie’s teeth.
Cindy- We haven’t done night feeds for awhile now. Phoebe has 3-4 a day 180 mls and 3 solids. We are just starting on the water as I tried her before and she wanted none of it.
Kris-Sometimes I feel like I’m a single mum with Steve hours. How cute Dylan bopping.
Kaz- We get bub bub bub and ma ma mam but only when she is crying or having a whinge lol
Jen- (belated) Happy anniversary.
Kel-Yup Phoebe has done the face planting ( I always have a giggle) she gets so frustrated. She just hasn’t figured out how to move yet.

Hi!
Dylan can wave!!! Soo cute!! He did it today in the car and I thought it was a bit of a fluke but we got him to do it at dinner as well!!! So funny!
Had a huge day today - Had a delivery in the morning and then went shopping (didn't end up doing it all yesterday!) So I've basically got all the xmas shopping done other than the food we need for fresh food we need for the day! I'm going to have so much fun wrapping everything!
Melissa - Sorry to hear your not p/g??? You poor thing though - a bug doesn't sound good...
Sounds like a good idea to have a catch up! I'm thinking maybe a Jan catch up now??
Kaz - I've just been going locally to Chirnside Park but it's busy enough!! I went to e/l yesterday though and it really wasn't that bad...I think everyones going to Knox! LOL! Wow - sounds like a lot of chaos at your mg lunch - lots of fun though as well I bet!
Tiffanny - Glad you guys are well! Thats great she's grown so much! Thats probably all that Dylan weights as well! Wow at the mumum and bubub!! I think Dylans a little way off words yet (and I hope so - he already thinks he's 1!! standing up all the time and getting into mischief)
I've got to wrap pressies but I don't think I've got that much for Dylan - It's hard though because with only an 18m gap and having boys there's not much more we need for that age ifykwim? I think I'll just wrap up some of the smaller presents for him as well...I mean they're going to share everything anyway...
Enjoy your weekends - chat later!

Hello everyone,
HOw are you all today, hopefully everyone is well.
We're ok, Lily is being a bit difficult, but she's good. She's decied tht 3.30am is a good time to party and for the past three nights we have been up for at least 1hr at that time. As well as waking every few hours for her dummy. Last night I cracked it and yelled at her  She was just having a ball, laughing and pulling my hair. She eventually went to sleep at 4.30 until 7.15. DH got up and took her off me when I yelled at her, even though he had to get up at 5am for work. Poor guy. I was just so tired, as well as not feeling well myself with a chest and throat infection. (I think its from the stress of prac and as well as a bit of a family crisis we're having too.) She was sleeping so well last week....
She's into everything now, and can get to the chrissy tree and pressies! She almost pulled it down on top of herself the other day and gave mummy a heart attack! She's also into licking the tiles and blowing raspberries on them, nice. Now I have to at least vacuume every day or two...just what I need: more to do!
Erin, nice to hear from you! Glad to hear that Charlie is well.
Melissa, I hope you're feeling better today, 4 fillings suck! I think I'll probably have to get a few when we have some spare money...
Kaz, mg sounds like it was bit bit of a laugh! And LOL at Pip and his 'dadada' I can just imagine it, hehe. Good luck with the rest of the wedding plans, sounds like you're doing pretty well with it all.
Tifany, Glad to hear you and Pheobe are well. I know what you mean about them growing so much, though for you it must be so good to see her getting so big cause she was premmie. Lily is now about 9 or 9.5kg, I haven't weighed her recently, I really should do it soon! Yep, I have a bit of a giggle when Lil face plants too, I can't help myself...:) She does it and sort of looks at me as if to say 'well that didn't go well...' So funny.
Kris, How cute that Dylan can wave! Lil can too, but its very selective waving, she usually only does it for my mum! God on you getting your chrissy shopping done. I still have a bit to go. I hate going out in the crowds with Lily so I will do it when DH has a day off.
Ok gotta go my grumpy monkey is grumping....
-
We don't wave :( But I haven't actually been "teaching" him IYKWIM?
Kel - hehehe, I'm vacuuming every day, mopping every second day here, what with the dogs and cats and Pip. No good on the 3:30 parties! Don't you just feel horrid when you yell at them? I found myself about to yell at Pip the other day and had a good yell at the cats instead...
Hopefully today will be fine enough for me to go for a walk, a bit worried atm cause there's an escaped convict (how draconian!) they're searching for in the Hills area - DF was driving to the forest yesterday to walk the dog and his car was stopped and the cops looked inside, asked where he was going ... all a bit strange. I never used to worry about stuff like that - I'd "be aware, not alarmed" but now I find myself alarmed ... how strange that motherhood has affected me like that!
Anyhows, my plans for today are re-organising the kitchen. I got a HUGE order of tupperware and plan on decanting all my bits and pieces into the tupperware. Least Pip has trouble opening tupperware!
Have a good day all! Hugs, waves and kisses to abound to our raspberry-blowing babies!
