Hi Girls,
Gee Kel you have a mini genius on your hands! She is amazing! August, how exciting! You say it n such an offhand manner now, such a pro and all that, well lets hope he or she is as smart as Lil!
Kaz - thanks for the cover advice, I am having lots of leaks at the mo, he is in a shaped nappy and fleece cover with a booster at the moment so lets see....I put him down for his nap this morning in aio and he only slept for 10min wich is unusual - I wonder if he felt uncomfy? I will investigate wool, I have been doing the angel wing fold and have discovered the wee wuns site (can i say that here? eeks!) which is awesome - sometimes i wish i had more mum friends, why did it take me so long to get onto cloth????
Kris - you need a break girl! Just do it, say seeya to DH and do get a pedi or something tomorrow ok!? What about Dylan standing! Watch out!
Ok check ya!

Hi!
Well, we've had dramas here this morning! lOL. Louis skidded his 4 wheeler on his toe (don't ask - just trust that it can happen - hehe) and made it bleed (his first injury - not bad for over 2yo) so had to get the savlon and bandaids out - he's now milking it lying on the couch with his foot on a pillow and got to eat his s/w in the couch and have a cup of choccy milk! hehehe. When I ran Lous inside I left Dylan outside just for a couple of minutes and when I returned he'd climbed half up our steps - OMG!! Little bugger! If he'd have fallen he would have been in big trouble as it's pavers....
Anyway...
Jen - No breaks tomorrow! Dh is working and I've got a special Body shop party at my house for National party day! Maybe Sunday...???
Chat later!
-
Hi All,
Hope you are going well. Not a great deal happening here. The moo is still waking overnight and it looks like she'll be getting some more bottom teeth...and shes still so gummy up the top its cute. Shes started doing a few things like sucking her cheeks in and making fish lips and lately shes got this new laugh/smile.....looks like shes going to take after her daddy and smile with her front teeth(iykwim).
Am doing a quickbooks course next week so I can help DF with the business (and hopefully get some cash). Also again thinking of going back to work sooner rather than later as our wedding is starting to add up.
Heres wishing for a full night sleep. Take care
Love Melissa

Jen - come into the cloth thread!
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ad.php?t=57181
(and yes, you can say it! I visited the WeeWuns yesterday!)
Kel - how gorgeous! We now say "Pip" at him and he does a "Peh" sound back! plus mum, dad, ba (bottle)
Mel - ughs re the overnight wakes - we're getting up 2 or 3 times overnight now.
Kris - sounds like an interesting injury!
anyhows, i'm off. ciao!

OMG, how cr@ppy is tv tonight??? I was looking forward to lazing on the lounge for a while tonight and being a sloth, but there is absolutely NOTHING on!!!
I am sooo tired so I will probably just end up having a shower and going to bed. Lil has been a bit of a devil this arvo, just sooking and whinging for no apparent reason. She's had 3 bottles in about 5 hours!! And will not eat her dinner. She has been with mum all day though while I've been at prac, so I think shes just been missing me. I find she sooks for me when I've been working...yes, very nice to be loved, but when I'm tired and grumpy and just want to veg on the lounge, it's not so lovely or cute! When she's at mums she won't drink her bottles either, and will only eat food. It's like she will only take a bottle from me. Especially during the day, even when she's with DH, I still have to give her her bottles. At night she's not so fussy, but during the day...
Well I had toast for dinner for the third day in a row. Disgusting huh?? I jsut can't be bothered cooking for myself. And I only have $20 until Thursday to my name so take away was out of the question. I might have a cup a soup now...mmm especially in this cool weather we're having in Sydney...21 degrees out here today!
Kaz & Jen, I am converting to MCN too, though it will be a very slow process due to the cost of them...slowly but surely. I have two waiting at the post office for me which I will pick up tomorrow. I have forgotten what I ordered now though...what can I say- baby brain! I'm excited, hehehe!
Kris I hear you on having a break too. I can only imagine with 2...though I will know about it soon, LOL! I so need some time alone, I would love to have the house to myself for a while, even if I end up cleaning, at least it will be in peace ;)
I can't believe how clever Dylan is with his standing and walking!! He's gonna be on the go before you know it! What a clever little man.
Yep, I think lil Lil's pretty clever too. I won't be able to shut her up soon. All I do now is try to teach her new words, and soon I wiil be telling her to be quiet, hehehe :D It's always the way, huh??
As for her sleeping, I spoke too soon, as always...she was up four time last night, grrr! Needless to say, my eyes are hanging out of their sockets!
Poor old Louis with his toes, I hope they're all better now, I'm sure all of the choccy milk helped! And he's starting early being a male drama queen...he'll have it down pat in no time, LOL!
I hear you on the climbing steps, Lil is almost there and my mum has a sunken lounge room with a few steps down into it, she can almost get up them. When she does it someone will have to be on permanent stair duty cause she loves to get up into the dining room and kitchen, where noone is to watch her get into things she shouldn't!
Jen, hehe, at least I sound confident about it all, cause that's about as far as it goes! I'm still pretty nervous about the 2 under 16mths thing. But I'm sure when it comes to it, I will figure it all out...I will have to won't I!
Mel, my symapathies to you on the sleepless nights. I thought by now they would have it all sorted huh? Oh well  .It' must really hurt them to have thier teeth growing. I ended up giving Lil her magic medicine tonight- Nurofen. No joking withing 5 mins of giving her a dose, she's as happy as Larry!! I hope you have a better night tonight. And us too!
How cute with her fishy lips. You'll have t try to catch her mid fish lips and get a pic for us to see!
I'm going back to work sooner too- in February, once I finish my prac. Mostly cause of being pg and needing the money, but since doing prac, I have realised how nice it is to be with adults and how much I really do enjoy working. Part time is great, I don't think I could do full time just yet cause I still love coming home and spending the majority of my time with lil Lil, but some time out of the house without her has been really good.
Hello to everyone else, I hope you are all going well.
Happy weekend!! :D

Good Rainy Morning all,
Just been to the DVD store - the ultimate entertainment for days like today....
Kris - mmm yes you need tomorrow off! Even if its just for coffee.
Kel - 20 to your name sounds familiar - I didnt get paid this week so it will be a lean one too! Thats awesome you are mCN'ing! Tell us which ones you got - I was bidding on ebay for some baby beehinds before. Hey lil sounds like Beau, he will only take bottle from me too sometimes, what fuss pots, he is at the climb mummys legsand whinge phase too. Overall he is ok tho, it does get a little bit taxing tho the clingon ness!
Mel - LOL at fish lips -I hear you on weddings, I look back on ours, I dont know who I was kidding! I am still paying it off, 5yrs later!
Kaz - I think i will! I am keeping the tally like you said on the big blackboard in our kitchen where I can see it, its strangely rewarding - but its wet here in Sydney - oh no!
Have a great saturday all, have fun with the bubbas! I love making B laugh, especially to see his gappy front pegs coming down, so cute!

Hey all,
Yay, last night Olivia slept from about 10pm til just after 6. Pitty I fell asleep watching the tennis, but I did get 6 hours uninterrupted..I love it:)
Well, I am busy getting invites ready...and we decided that we are going to have a small honeymoon, just something locally as opposed to spending heaps and going o/s (we already have been o/s together).
Must go, Olivia is pooing:)
Have a good day
Love Melissa
-
Hi!
Dylan only had 2 x 45min sleeps all day yesterday!! Less than Louis! And decided he'd be up at 5.55am this morning...crazy!
He took 3 steps yesterday!!! Held up his toothbrush and he went running! LOL!
Melissa - Sounds like a great idea doing the quickbooks course!! Thats great olivia slept so well last night! How exciting getting everything organised - a local holiday sounds great!
Kaz - Wow Pip sounds like he's doing great with his words!! Yeah!
Kel - I wish you were nearby - I'd come over and cook you some dinner! LOL! I hope you're going to eat some veggies tonight!! You've got to keep your energy up!
It is hard when they want you so much and you're tired! Trust me - it doesn't last long - you'll be asking for cuddles before you know it! hehe.
The bottle situation is hard though...Maybe when someone else it feeding her she could have it out of a cup and just have drinks of it over 30min or something??? When Dylan has formula now I give it to him in a cup...
It certainly is nice to be around adults sometimes!!!
Speaking of feeding....is anyone still bf?? I am...Dylan's on 3 bf's a day now...I'm looking forward to weaning I must say but it will be sad at the same time iykwim??
He's 9mo old today so he's got 3 months to go! (unless he weans beforehand...)
I'll probably start him on a bit of cows milk in the next month on his cereal and see how he goes! I've got about 1/2 tin of formula left so I don't really want to buy another one as it's just for cereal...
Jen - I'm with you on the dvd's! My friend lent me season 2 love my way so I'm dying to sit down and watch it! It goes for 12 hours though so it will probably take me a year! LOL!
No time off today...dh didn't get the job finished so he's off to work in the rain this morning so no family day...no time out... Oh well - thats life! LOL!
Dylans a major clingon at the moment as well...especially in the afternoons leading up to dinner - drives me nut! LOL! Luckily dh is mostly home to deal with him and Louis so I can get dinner organised!
OMG at still paying your wedding off - wow it must have been awesome!!! We spent about $3000 on mine all up! LOL! It was still really nice though...we just didn't invite many people!
K - better go and have a shower - I'm having a lazy morning! Chat later
-
Hey there,
what a crappy day in sydney, days like this i wished i had a car.
We got some door catches and power point saftey things yesterday to stop enquiring Beau...he has a weird thing about his head atm, he is obsessed with it! Shakes it from side to side, loves being dropped on the bed so his head hits the pillows...hits on anything! The floor, the oven, the tv cabinet! So strange...
Mel thats great you guys are having a honeymoon - my mum is sitting for us on Friday night and we are going out for dinner and i am excited about that!
Kris - love my way is the ultimate! The best show ever! love love love! No bfing here unfortunately, you are doing so well, I hear you on the clingon central in the arvo, he is all out of whack today tho, DH woke him up getting his work clothes at 6:15am, then he went back to sleep at 8:20, then up at 10:00am now he has just dropped off again.
I think he is finally going to drop a sleep, but it will be the arvo one, so he is up from about 1, or 2pm till around 6, 6:30. He goes down early so I guess thats fine, the arvos are devoted to him however, so I best go and wash some nappies while he is asleep!
Take care, its quiet around here....

CAnt do personals, I have Phoebe sitting on my lap trying in vein to corrupt the keyboard but just had to say YAAAAAAAAAY we are back to normal sleeping/ and she has started to wave hello and bye AND she was bopping along to Ragg s the kids show this morning.
-
Hi all,
No time for personals, but I just thought I'd drop in to tell you that all is well with us. I managed to get 11 hrs sleep last night cause DH was on baby duty. I still heard her of course, but I didnt need to get up which was nice. I had to work today and DH had Lil.
I got my first cloth nappy today- a cute tooshies. It's soooo soft and beautiful!! I wish I had have started with them earlier. Considering they are all so gorgeous ;) . I am still waiting for the cover and another nappy froma a different place though so can't really use it just yet...but I can't wait, who would have thought I would get so excited over a nappy?? :D
Well that's it from me, must go do dinner, just hot dogs tonight, though like my friend does them, with tomatoes, cheese, onions and avocado, and with frankfurts from the deli, so much nicer mmm, mmmm!! I love them, it's the only way I'll eat them now!
Ok I hope everyone is well, will come back tomorrow, or maybe later if I'm still awake ;) and write some more. Taa tah!!
-
Hi!
Not much from me today...went and did food shopping today - how exciing! hehe. Although Louis had his first trip to the shops in undies and did really really well! I'm so proud of him!
Jen - LOL at Beau and his head! The things they find amusing hey! So is he having 3 sleeps a day still? Will be great for you guys to head out Fri night! We're going out Thursday night - I'm not sure what we'll do yet - maybe just movies or dinner or both! Would be nice to do something a bit different but we're a bit boring - LOL!
Tiffanny - Yeah!! Glad to hear you guys are going so well - what a clever little girl!
Kel - Yeah on getting a big sleep - thats fantastic!! Hopefully you'll get some more energy soon as well with 2nd trimester soon on it's way! Wow - how fast is that going?? Enjoy your hotdogs!
I'm thinking I might have a bath tonight and curl up in bed with a book...aaaahhh bliss!
Chat later!

Hi ladies!
Well yesterday we got Pip some sandals to wear at the wedding ... I've been sewing nametags onto Pip's hat / snuggletoy and other clothes ... he starts childcare on Wednesday :(
cloth nappy meetup tomorrow! WOOHOO!
Jen - usually they drop the afternoon sleep I've been told :D Enjoy your nappies!
Kel - make sure you wash any new nappies at least 6 times to get the fibres to absorb .. if you're just letting her play on the floor, you won't need a cover .. line dry ... use only half as much detergent as you normally would ... Woohooo on the sleep! Last time DF tried to do that for me, he fell down the stairs holding Pip.
Mel - I know what you mean, we're only going to Cape Schank RACV resort for 3 nights (mornington) for less than the cost of just getting to Tassie! Are you taking missy-moo with you? Or not? A g/f of mine took her bub on her honeymoon and sorta regrets not having "us time" My mum & dad are looking after Pip ...
Kris - well-done on Louis! Enjoy your 'lazy' day - hope you manage to watch some S&tC !
Tiffany - isn't it the cutest, but still the most annoying?
Us - a g/f from MG came over to watch Pip while I cleaned (moved boxes into the ceiling). Her little boy and Pip had great fun chasing my cat around the living room (the cat just kept coming back for more!) He's been asleep since around 8:30 (a new record) but I've been naughty and bringing him into bed with us in the mornings when he wakes up.
Found a pattern for a sleeping bag, might try to whip one up tomorrow, I have some flannelette (old sheets!) I can use. Pip got his head stuck in his sheet while we were showering the other morning, poor little thing cried himself hoarse, I didn't hear him at all. DF went in and found his head wrapped in his sheet and he'd stopped crying, had worked himself up so much he'd soaked his sleeping sack thingy with sweat. Poor little thing. Took me ages to calm him down.
Dream pretty ladies!
-
Hi ladies,
no personals for me just a quick one as have a friend's daughter ova for the morn and she is a bit more high maintenance.
well i can finally see one of luke's top teeth, it hasn't cut thru yet but shouldn't be too far - 4 months with just 2 teeth is a long time. i don't think i can imagine him with more teeth lol
-
Oh gosh, I just can't keep up with you guys LOL. Where do my days go  prob online shopping LOL.
Ahhh sooo busy here, we are moving on 20th Feb so that is not long. Trying to organise a big garage sale, clean up etc. It's sooo much harder with a bubs, everything will be out of the house, then we have to borrow some friends stuff to clean & then stay in the local motel that night before flying out.....watch out QLD here we come!!!
Took Charlie to CHN today, was stressing about a lazy eye....but nothing to worry about just other people saying silly things!! he's 10kg just above average but a whopping 78cm long - that's almost half my height :) So am wondering where he gets that from. He crawls great now & pulling up on things, incl the cot & has already left teeth marks on the rail. I'm busy trying to re decorate his nursery too as have not been happy with it. Going with a vintage theme & trying to create as many things myself as possible. Any suggestions would be great. Still on a couple wake ups, not sure of the prob (it's not teeth) - last night we let him have a cry & was back to sleep after bout 20mins but was the hardest thing for me to do
Kaz good luck tomorrow with Childcare, I really had to hold myself together when leaving....but picking them up that first day is the emotional part I think. Charlie goes half days on & off, but when we get to Roma will be 3 full days each week. It is hard, but I think its great interaction for them.
Tiffany, isn't it sooo cute when they start bopping. Charlie started at Chrissy time to one particular ad on tv. Now I pop music on during the day & we dance along together.
Jen, Charlie has just discovered shaking head from side to side...a bit annoying as he loves to do it at dinner time. Must be the high chair.
Kristie, no BF here - well done great to hear it's still going strong for you. Charlie has cut back on his bottles sooo much - only having 3 milk feeds a day or 4 if I count the 4am wake up.
I should go & get myself organised. I'm writing a list for DH, he will be looking after Charlie on Friday & Sat on his own. I'm off to the Bon Jovi Concert YAY!!! but it means flying to Perth & I'm a little worried about how DH will go. I do trust him, but typical male just doesn't pay attention sometimes.
-
Hi All,
Tiff - Beau likes raggs too - I have a cute photo of him staring at it...he doesnt bop yet but : (
Erin - Im glad someone eles's bub is as strange as mine - Moving...Yay! I love moving - some many new rooms to decorate! God suggestions....where do i start....thats pretty much my thing, decorating! Love it! A friend gave me a great book called Flea Market Baby, from the states, thats great. Otherwise ebay is a great source of vintage stuff. I love bunting, thats easy to make and pretty special, Beau has lots of vintage letters in his room that I spell different things with. He has some funky florence broadhurst curtains in his room and I am covering canvases with the same fabric and painting animal sillhouettes on them in black....his room evolves all the time - I just bought some deer antlers - they will probbaly end up on the wall in there eventually!!! Old maps are also cool, or luggage, an old rocking horse, old tiny chair and tables in red - you could frame an old alphabet book pages spelling out 'Charlie' - I better stop dribbling.
Kel - I think cloth nappies are life changing so no judgement here!
Kris - Yep still 3 sleeps most days - Undies for Louie! What a big boy!
Kaz - Poor pip with the sheet! You are handy whipping up a sleeping bag
Iona - at least little luke has something to show for it now x
I am going now to fold washing
x
-
Ooooh Jen thanks for the ideas, any more feel free to PM me. I have all the ideas, just not that creative when trying to get them out of my head :p
I've bought an old teddy that holds pj's in it from ebay & trying to win some old golden books to frame some pics. Oooh yeah & my brother bought a vintage ride on fire truck...that takes pride in the room. Oooh just found that book you mentioned online....got to have it LOL!
-
Hi All,
I love reading whats happening, makes me feel like things are on track.
I spent the night away at mums last nightwith Olivia, then I started my course today. It was good, but also made me feel ready to go back to work.
Kaz, we aren't taking moo with us...I agree on some us time:)
gotta run...
-
Hi all,
Sorry I've been AWOL for a bit, taking time out with my parents and what not.
Not much happening here. Reid is still sleeping through and as of this week he's got his two top front teeth coming through as well. He's starting swimming lessons on Feb 3rd which should be fun.
Heading to bed now so no personals sorry. Hope all is well with everyone and their bubs.
Lee

Oh my goodness you girls are so quiet!! Where is everyone, as my mum says, you must all busy busy bees with a bum full of honey :p !!
Well I just wanted to boast about our wonderful sleep we had last night! Well, it all started when I fell asleep on the lounge at 7.30 last night. I have worked four days this week and I was so buggered I couldn't keep my eyes open. Lil Lil decided that mumma shouldn't be asleep at 7.30 so she kindly woke me with a ew short shrp slaps to the face, which she and DH thought were sooo hilarious since I nearly fell off the lounge with firght...Needless to say I was less than impressed. Now the good bit comes...Well I put the little angel to bed at about 8.20 and pottered about a little, had a shower and was in bed at 10pm myself. Lil then woke at 5am, I gave her half a bottle and she went back to bed. I thught we'd be up for the day, since she's been getting up realy early for DH, but I think he doesn't try hard enough to get her back into bed, or try at all for that matter...anyway she went back to bed- until 8.15!!! WOOOHOOOO, I had such a great sleep, and she woke in the best mood. We have had such a lovely morning, and she is now in her cot happily chatting to herself, and will probably go back off to sleep soon, yayayayy...I was so dreading a 5am wake up call!
-
Hi!
It's been quiet for us...not much happening. I think Dylan had a bit of a temp yesterday - he seems a bit out of sorts - not quite sick though but not well if that makes sense. He's still sleeping well though so thats ok.
Dh and I went out for dinner and a movie last night which was nice...we're a bit on edge at the moment and he's so lethargic and sleepy and cranky all the time it makes it really hard...Hopefully he'll snap out of it soon!
Erin - Wow - not long to go at all! How exciting. Lots of work as well though! Glad Charlies' going so well - thats great! Wow thats great your decorating so nicely. Our room is just full of toys and wiggles posters etc - not style or class at all - LOL!
Have an awesome weekend!!! Wow how exciting to get away!
Kaz - How did he and you go with childcare??? Hope your coping all well! How nice of your friend to come over so you could clean!
Poot little monkey with the sheet - sounds like a good idea to use a sleeping bag!
Iona - wow on another tooth - we're still toothless here! LOL!
JenSam - Wow - aren't you a decorating queen? LOL! Sounds like great ideas!
Melissa - Thats great you enjoyed your course!
Lee - Glad you're well! Wow on the 2 top teeth! The kids looovve swimming!
Kel - Yeah on having such a great night sleep! I bet you really needed that after working so much!
Better go - Dylans just woken and Louis has run in with his "feathersword"....
-
Hi Ladies,
Ok I' going to attempt to do personals but please forgive me if i miss anyone. I'll warn you all this is part whinge/rant too. I think I jinxed myself the other day when I said her sleeping was back to normal. We have had a shocker week with up to 6 wake ups a night and next to no sleeps during the day. She has been a royal PITA. I can feel the corner of a tooth so I guess that is why but I just dont know how much more I can take. Steve's boss told him that he is selling the business and moving back to Injune and Steve has to find a new job. As well our house is being sold. Our new landlord is happy for us to stay but is raising the rent. My Dad has been off work as he had a bad turn before Xmas with his heart and is beginning to get on my nerves by "visiting" every day. On top of everything else my washing machine shat itself and I'm now hand washing all our clothes coz we sooo can't afford a new/second hand one atm. I'm so sure something else is going to come and kick me in the a** and say "No, you're not allowed to be happy and live comfortably".
Kel- I love your Mum's saying lol So jealous of the sleep. At the moment I'd give my left arm for a good 5 min nap.
Lee- I can't wait to do swimming, just have to find somewhere local that does it.
Jen- She likes the pink dog. She waves and squeals when it comes on the screen.
Erin-lol @ teeth marks on the rail. Of late I've let Phoebe cry for a bit. It's hard hey. I hope you like Roma. I've only been there once but loved the town. What can I say, I'm such a country girl lol
Kris- We weren't able to BF. I tried but got nowhere coz I had nothing. I can't remember the last time Steve and I went out to dinner, it would be nice out get out of the house but can't see it happening for a while.
Mel- Are you getting the wedding day jitters yet??
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
-
Hey all,
I am at my limit with broadband so my internet is so freakin slow - and i worked yesterday - thus no posts!
I will be brief as i am waiting for my mum and her husband to come and watch boaz while we go out! Yipee!! I will out him down so they really only have to sit and watch telly.
Tiff - You are in the wars hey? Big hugs, nothing to say other than things have to get better cause thay cant get much worse eh?
Kris- I hear you on the DH grumpville - we fought about $5 dollars the other day and that I bought a scroll from Bakers Delight! Thus the date LOL!
erin - any time - if i come up with any brain waves I will PM you.
Mel - how fab the honey moon bubba free! (you will miss her of course....he he : )
Kel - he he at the slapping! CHeeky bugger!
Lee - hopefully we are doing swimming soon too - nice to hear from you
We went to playgroup the other day, which was 'ok'...you have to get out and try these things tho hey?
Ok better go and feed Beau his dinner and beautify!
x
-
Well Pip's done his first 3 days at CC, he loves it. Love reading what he "does" - today he played with the Seseme Street toys with Isobelle and enjoyed his cheese sandwich
Sorry no personals, about to go get waxed.
Well, apart from Tiffany - ughs, that's really bad news, can you dump your washing on your dad to do?
Anyhows, ciao ladies.
-
Hi!
Woohoo - Long weekend!! Not that much changes for us really...LOL!
Tiffanny - Big hugs...what a bad run of things!! Geez I thought I had a bad morning when I burnt 4 pieces of toast and then dropped the whole bowl of dylans brekky on the floor! I'm sure things will turn around soon!!
Jen - Have a great night out!!! I tried mothers group with Louis but didn't really get into it...I felt like I was invading a group that was already set up iykwim?? Everyone was friendly enough but I just didn't feel like i clicked.
Kaz - Thats fantastic that Pip loved childcare! So have you started back at work or did you get to enjoy some time out??
Enjoy your weekends!
-
Hey Tif, big hugs, hope things look up for you soon.
Jen, how was the date??? It sux when you fight over little things like that.
kaz well done on survi1`ing th[I] WeEK...OLIVIA!!!!!
Soryy. Olivias typing skills are bad!!
Kristie have a great weekend. Shame about mothers group, I really enjoy going to ours.....gives me something to look forward to.
Last night we did our invites, then just as we went to bed at 1130 Olivia wakes up, so i didnt get to sleep till an hour later, then she wakes at 530, then 630 for good. Oh well, lets hope she has a big sleep today..HOPE :)
Think I might sleep too.
Better go, grizzley moo...have a great weekend
-
hey ladies,
Kris - I don't start work until March 10/11 so I'm getting lots of time to settle him in.
hehehe Mel, clever missy-moo!
Last night I finished all my "place cards" - we're actually using wine charms as the place card. There's a place that will engrave them for you for approx $2/each up to 99 tags, so last night put some beads on the wire clip thingy and sorted them into envelopes :D
so that's done! but I couldn't get to sleep until 3:30ish for a variety of reasons, Pip being one of them!
Took my old blue dog to the vets today, said goodbye to him. Came home and was cleaning up and found dog bite marks on the child pen, I think Pip may have pulled his fur and was almost bitten again. *sighs* but now blue dog can't bite him ever.
Kristie, I LovE my MG! we've been together since the bubs were about 12 weeks old, and we've welcomed a few newcomers into our group too :D The bubs are now getting too active to have them at someone's house, we're looking for a venue to meet at now.
*slurps* to all.
kaz

Hi All,
Mmmm date was ok until I started talking about money and crying at the table, my fault totally! It was still a nice night tho. (!)
Except, I never should have said we would put Beau down before we left! i tried at his usual time (6:30), and he knew something was up, ended up getting back up to chat with Grandma for another hour, but she handled him great with grandpa and he was down by half seven.
I had to get out of the house today and went and saw 'Atonement' at the flicks as a spontaneous thing, i just said to DH 'I am going out!" But he was cool with it.
Kaz, thats sad about yr dog, that must be really hard for you. Thats great about pip and CC, you must be so relieved, it sounds like a great place you found.
Kris - Yeah sometimes trying to forge friendships with people is tough when you only have bubs in common (our group aside of course!), my good friend is off the pill so I have my fingers and toes crossed atm!
Mel - Man Olivia is giving you a rough time with sleep isnt she? You poor thing, try and put your head down in the day if you can. I have been having some headaches, so have been doing that in the day a little bit too. I have had bad bellies and dizzy spells too (thort i had food poisoning this morning!) - we use condoms so I hope i am not PG! We are not ttc at all yet!
Ok have a great rest of Australia Day everybody, DH is doing yummy lamb skewers on the barbie, yum!

Hi!
I had a naming day today - it was really beautiful -we all released balloons with a note and they released butterflies. It was for my friends baby that's really sick so it was really special! She's doing really well though all things considered so thats great!
The boys were good - Dylan still doesn't see 100% and he did the grossest poo today. Louis went without a sleep all day and wore undies out - only did a little wee in them when we got home I think because he's so tired - he just fell asleep on the couch with me - that hasn' thappened in a million years so it was soo nice!
Whoops - didn't mean to say mothers group - I meant Playgroup!!!
My mothers group and I get along really well and although most of them are back at work and we don't see each other regularly we try!
Melissa- Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight!!
Kaz - What a great idea with your place cards!! Very special!! Sorry to hear about your dog...Hope you get some sleep tonight also!
Jen - Glad your date went "ok". Ours was a bit that way but we made up for it last night - LOL!! Put some passion back into our relationship - LOL!!! Haven't had much of that lately....hehe.
Good for you getting out today - was the movie any good? My friend wants to go and see it so we're going to go on a date together! hehe. I never go out with friends so it will be nice!
Yeah...none of my friends have kids...well excpet for 1 now - who I saw today - and she's very sick so it hasn't quite been the same iykwim? My best friend is ttc now too so I'm hoping it happens quickly for them!!! I've clicked really well with the people I chat with on BB and my first group - that I'm in with Louis - we've met up heaps and made a really great friendship! I never would have though!
I wish I was p/g so I had an excuse for putting on weight over xmas! hehe. So need to do some exercise...I've been falling asleep on the couch with the kids lately...I never do that - although it usually on lasts 3 min before a phone rings or a child pokes me or something! hehe. Definitely power naps!
LOL - I forgot all about Australia day - so it is! Lets thank our lucky stars we live in such a great country! The most we have to worry about at the moment is interest rates - LOL!
Chat later!

Hi girls. It's been ages since I've popped in here, but I've been missing being part of baby buddies, so thought I'd see if anyone minded if I started posting in here again. I find it so hard to keep up, but I'm definitely going to try harder now.
Jambin is growing up into a very strong-willed little boy (although he's been like that since the moment he was born lol). He's currently demolishing a packet of nappy sacks behind me, but since he's keeping himself occupied (which is a very rare thing indeed), I'm not going to stop him. I can stuff them all back in the packet when he's done with them.
I decided at the beginning of the month to resign from my job, which I was quite disappointed about, but I just didn't feel comfortable putting Jambin in child care, mostly because he's rather high-needs and has to have intensive 1:1 input ALL DAY LONG ... I don't think the 1:4 ratio staff:baby ratio at our local child care would be enough for him. I left him with my sister and her hubby last night while DH and I went out to dinner. We were only gone 2.5 hours, and he screamed for about a third of that time. I really loved my job, so I'm disappointed not to be going back, but I felt like I had to prioritise Jambin at this stage in his life.
Kaz - I'm so sorry I haven't replied to your PM yet hun - I will! I promise!
-
Great to hear from you Cherie!! I'm sorry to hear you've given your job up!! Sounds like your going with your instincts not putting him in childcare! I think some kids thrive and some don't handle it well at all. I had Louis in for 2 hours 1 afternoon a week when I had to leave early for work and he screamed every time. It was the hardest thing to do. I think it also made him more clingy - when I stopped working he was a much more calm baby.
I take it from your ticker that your ttc again?? How exciting!!
He looks gorgeous in his ticker photo!
Look forward to chatting with you!

Yep - TTC again. We actually had an IVF transfer 2 months ago (we had 4 snowbabies in the freezer), but 3 didn't survive the thawing process. The one embryo we had transferred didn't implant :( So we're TTC the 'natural' way atm - it probably won't work, but you never know! And we're not in a huge rush, so we can just keep trying while we save up enough money to try for IVF again.
Isn't it hard to believe that the little monkeys are 9 months old already?
-
WB Cherie! Sorry to hear about the transfer - enjoy trying for the next little while!
Kris - sounds like a lovely ceremony, good to hear she's doing better though. I've had a UTI so no "passion" here. Hoping it clears up by Saturday though!
Jen - hope you enjoyed your movie and time out! I think the time out's the best thing!
Us - just back from a walk with the lab, just realised I haven't given Pip any solids today. Might give him a cheese & vegemite sanga :D
When can we start to give them jelly?
-
Yum, jelly...might make some of that, must be better than eating chocolate all the time. Oh and i dont know when to give bubs that.
Hi ALL, I have sooky clingy, I want mummy moo...so cant stay,
WB cherie

Hi!
Just chilling out at home today...Dylan was very upset last night and has basically slept today away - soo grumpy and unhappy. Seems to have perked up a bit again now so hopefully he's on the mend. I have no idea what was wrong though...
Cherie - Sorry to hear that your little embryo didn't implant....good luck with it all!! I know - how fast has the time gone?? Soon we'll be having 1st birthday parties!
Kaz - ooh thats no good - hope your uti clears up soon - they're horrible!
With jelly - I'm sure you could give it now but I'd just watch out as it has lots of sugar and quite often the colourings etc you need to watch for reactions...
Melissa - I know the feeling - although it's because he's been sick - but it seriously does my head in! Although in saying that we've had the nicest most gorgeous cuddles over the last couple of days!
Chat later - better get dinner going!
-
Kristie - poor Dylan :hugs: Good to hear that he seems to be perking up though. It's time like those that you wish they could talk and tell you what's wrong (and other times I'm sooo glad that Jambin can't talk, or I'm sure he'd be demanding things all day long lol).
Melissa - I had a sooky, clingy baby for about 2 days last week. Just when I was ready to throttle him, he suddenly learned how to pull to stand, crawl on hands/knees, and go from lying to sitting all by himself. He's been a much happy camper since then. Hopefully Olivia is just having a 'wonder week' and will be her usual self again soon (and maybe with a few new skills acquired).
Kaz - I'm not sure about the jelly. You can buy gels in jars in the baby food section. It probably won't hurt him, but wouldn't have as many vitamins or minerals as some other foods.
Jambin's taken to waking up about an hour-and-a-quarter earlier in the morning than what he has done for the last 6 months. I was perfectly content with a 7am wake-up. I'm not so keen on playtime at 5:45 in the morning though - he has so much energy, and I have so little lol.
I'm struggling with him and solids atm - he'll eat pureed foods no worries, but can't eat mashed or lumpy food. He just gags and vomits them straight back out. Finger foods he is OK with, e.g. small pieces of fruit or bread, but I can't give him rice puddings or pasta dishes or anything with chunks of veges or peas. And he totally refuses to eat meat. All kinds. Fish too. I've spent so much time making lovely meals for him from scratch, and I end up eating them myself or throwing them out altogether. Thank goodness he eats weetbix!
-
Hi!
Cherie - Oh no- I hope has a sleep in for you tomorrow - mine were up at 6.30am this morning and that was early enough! LOL. I wouldn't stress too much about lumpy foods - he'll get there when he's ready! Just freeze it if he won't eat it and wait for another week or two and try again.
Well, both boys are down for the night - well - I'm not sure if Louis is asleep yet but as long as he's quite and doesn't wake Dylan we're alright!
Chat later!

Hi All,
Having a nice long weekend, hope everyone else is too, except Beau has decided to wake at 5ish the last two mornings! Heeeeees Baaaaaaaaack! Apart from that he is being a little star, his 6th tooth has come thru, and you can nearly see the front ones when he laughs hard. Well he wouldnt go back to sleep this morning so I got Dh up and went for breakie, B only had one sleep today, for nearly three hours! How bizarre!
Kaz-I made a plum jelly for B, it was so bright tho that it stained everything so the rest is in the freezer LOL, he has had the gels from Heinz but they give him dihorrea.
Has anyine else tried Aldi nappies? I am trying them this week (in conjunction with cloth Kaz!) - a lady at playgroup said they were as good as huggies but much cheaper - so far so good.
Cherie - hey nice to hear from you, I know those feelings of remorse with resignation, it's like goodbye to the old you or something, i work one day a week now in the same field but different place - it gives me a break and makes me feel normal. I got some really tiny pasta from the deli which is easy for bubbas to swallow, or cous cous is good too.
Kris - totallly hear you on the passion side of things...maybe Dylan is just going thru a growth spurt too? Or maybe just catching up from yesterday?
Mel - I understand too the ways of the skirt grabbing cling on!
Ok have a great night x
-
Hi All,
What a day, I think I just want to cry. Well cling on is still here and she sooks every time i leave the room. She was up again overnight for a feed, but luckily I went to bed at 9pm, otherwise I would be stuffed. Today we went to the supermarket, she was doing a poo on the way and it wasnt until i went to take her out of the car, that i had seen she pooed all through her clothes. So I had to take everything off and try and keep her still (which we have huge problems with at change time). Half an hour later we go shopping and she sooks all the way through.
DF is busy on his project car, so all we see of him is through the fly wire....he comes in when he hears me get stroppy, and tells me i have to tell him how to help...gggrrrr
On the Aldi nappies...I have used them for months and I love them and they are heaps cheaper. i think I have only had 2 poo leaks, so thats good.
Think I might go get some respite at my mums today..passs the little terror over for a few hours.
Hope you are all well
Love Melissa

We've used the Aldi nappies when all the cloth nappies have been in the wash and they work just fine. They are heaps cheaper than huggies!
Melissa - we're having problems at nappy change time too! He's either rolling sideways, or standing up on the change table, or hanging down upside down over the edge  Sometimes I give him nappy free time because I just can't be bothered fighting to get a nappy back on him. Or I sit him on the potty for a few minutes and give him a toy to play with. Anyway, I hope you got some rest at your Mum's - sounds like a good plan.
Jen - thanks for the reminder about cous cous. I keep thinking I should try it, and then forget as soon as another thought enters my head.
Re: the early morning wakings, I think Beau and Jambin should share a cot and amuse each other at that time of morning instead of waking us up. Can you imagine the mischief they'd get up to!!
