Huggies are currently on sale for $29 for the big boxes @ safeway ladies :D
Well Pip's been trying to throw tanties, I've not let him but my mum & dad are here and they spoil him (oh god what's he going to be like after being with them, alone, for 3 days!) - we bought some hard candy sweets for the wedding (like sugar eggs) that are bright red and Dad put some on his lips (ack). I've told them no artificial colours/flavours and preferably organic food for Pip, but
Mel - ack, that's really horrid. I was changing Pip at Myers / Knox today and the little buggar peed all over himself - face, bib, clean nappy, shirt, change mat .... somehow missed me. And I had run out of wipes so used the paper towels provided (ARGHHH) and mum had removed the face washers from the nappy bag. ARGHHHH again.
Kris - glad to hear Dylan's feeling better!
Jen - plum! Impressed! And a tooth! lucky boy!
Oooh that reminds me, we're getting the "organicbubs" food delivered this week for Pip to eat at the wedding and while we're away ... hope its OK for him.
Cherie - I hear you on the pain of changing him. First day at CC when I walked out there were two people holding him down while a third changed his nappy ....

Hi!
We had a nice day today! Dh came back this morning and we headed down to lilydale lake. Had lunch and a big walk and a splash in the water and then a play at the playground! The kids were so tired - mind you Dylan slept most of it anyway...he had 3 sleeps today - I think he's still recovering from being sick. He's got a bit of a rash over his tummy today so I assume he's had a virus of some sort...Not quite his normal self today but a lot better than he's been!
Jen - I hope Beau sleeps in for you tomorrow!! Not sure about Aldi nappies - I'm a huggies girl - even though I know there so expensive I just can't not buy them....LOL!
Melissa - Big hugs! I hope you managed to head out and have a break! Oh no on all the poo - gross! Men are certainly useless sometimes! I would have left him with Olivia and gone out for a walk or something - LOL! Hope your feeling better now!
Cherie/Melissa - I have an unhappy nappy changer here as well! Although he doesn't wriggle too much (because I hold him! LOL) he kicks his legs and cries...makes things very difficult
Kaz - I've picked up my 2 boxes of nappies already - LOL! Hehe on the tantrums - I hate to say it but they're going to get a whole lot worse!!! and not they don't start at 2yo. They start at 1 - or at least they did with Louis. Dylan already cracks it if you take things off him but he's easily distracted with another thing luckily...
Oh no at the week everywhere!!!
Chat later!

Hi girlies,
How's things??
Well we are pretty good here at the mo, though Lil's sleeping patterns are all over the place I have no idea what she's doing...neither does she think :) it's nothing bad like waking at night, but she's going to bed at such odd hours, she used to go to bed at 7-7.30 religiously for about four months, but this last week or two, it's bee anywhere between 7.30 and 10.30. Tonight she had a sleep from 4-6pm, got up and whinged for about 30mins before I put her back to bed, I thought for the night, but no she's up now happily chatting, giggling and saying 'dada' to DH. So now she's not going to go to bed until about 10.30 at the earliest, probably more like 11.30....But then she's also sleeping in in the mornings the latest being 8.30 so far :D which is nice, no 6am wakes ups here lately! YAY! She's all DH's tonight, I'm going to work tomorrow and he has 4 days off now, so I'm not too worried about what she does...is that mean??!! We still have one or two wake ups at night at least usually for a bottle, but we are getting more all nighters too, maybe once a week or so.
Kaz, sorry to hear about your puppy dog, it's so sad when you have to do that :( I hope you're feeling ok :hugs:
We've been getting tanties here too. I have no choice but to let her throw one....she's soooo head strong, persistent and stubborn, if she wants it she wants it she wants it and she's so hard to distract from whatever it is! Ugh, I dread the terrible twos if this is under one tanties...
How great Pip is liking CC, makes things easier for you when you do HAVE to go back to work. LOL at them changing his nappy!!
Cherie, so great to hear from you! Sounds like Jambin is growing up just as nicely and unpredicably as the rest of our bubbas!
I agree with Kristy about the solids, don't stress, he'll get there, he might have a sensitive gag reflex. My girlfriends DD does and even at almost 2yrs, she still gags on hard to eat foods like meat. I'm really lucky in that Lily will eat anything I put in front of her, she is yet to refuse anything I have fed her. Maybe you could make him couscous with meat stocks (beef/chicken), or cook it with meat, but don't give him the meat (iykwim!) to try to get him more used to meaty tastes?? I gave Lily polenta the other day and she loved it, maybe that'll work for him too?
Kris I hope Dylan is better today. Lucky you having the kidlets down so early, I think mine will be up for a while yet...
Jen, wow at 6 teeth! Lily has a toothy grin now too, her teeth have grown down enough now to see them when she smiles too, hehehe sooo cute!!
I use aldi nappies at the mo and I love them, I think they're better than huggies. And sooo much cheaper. I also use the mamia wipes and I like them too.
Mel, :hugs: hun, I feel for you I have been having days like that lately too, but I think some of the tearyness can be blamed on pg hormones...damn hormones, they're the last thing I need!!
Ok that's it for me, happy monday all!!

HI All,
Seems we are pretty on track with everyone else at the moment. B throws little tanti's too - usually when he isnt allowed in the fridge, cupboard, has something taken away etc. He is pretty whingy and climbing my legs (when i am standing) and saying 'mum mum mum' the WHOLE time! I am giving him cruskits constantly it seems to give me a break! I find he likes them more than the bellamy rusks now.
Personally, DH and I are still at odds - we just cant get it together recently, date didn't help...we aren't talking atm which is pretty ordinary.
Kel- Hey Beau is all over the shop with sleeps too - dropping the morning one now (although he is back down ato) and last night i put him down and he was back up til 8:30, although i left him with DH (im mean too!) I might try the mamia wipes aswell.
Kris - sounds like you had a nice time at the lake - thats great Dylan is a little better.
Kaz - mmm parents!!! I guess you are going to have to close your eyes to it all while you are away! Otherwise you will stress constantly. Why do they wee at the worse times? You poor thing!
Cherie - wow at Jambin on the potty! Check him out! I think Beau and he should heve little 5am parties too....pref at your house but! He he
Mel - You tell DF he has a little project inside too! Hope you had a rest at your mums and got some tlc.
OK chat later monkey is awake and we are off to nick branches for me to wrap with wool for a window display (dont ask!)

Hi All,
How many in a box of huggies???
Am glad I'm not the only one whos fighting at the change table, most of the time I have to attempt putting nappies on standing, although I find it impossible. So when I do changes I have to sit on the floor with a musical book or something musical to distract her...even then its hard.
Kaz, yep on the tanties....you just got to let them do it!!! Am interested in some of your wedding stuff..as you know its our turn in April, so am looking at bonbonieries and stuff. Wow its close now:)
Kristie, I didnt go out, instead I opted to sleep for 2 hours:) Its always nice to hear that you and DH go out with the kids and do family stuff. I so want it to be like that. DF and I had a d&m last night after I broke down as I am not coping on my own and feel unsupported. I think it really gave him a scare when I told him I was going to stay at my dads over the week ends coz at least there i would get more help. He thought I was going to leave..but I wouldnt, just wanted to know how hard this is without his help. And if we are thinking of having more then things really need to change. I hope it doesnt fall on deaf ears, but he seemed really sad this morning. Oh gosh, I have to go to the MCHN today, I hope I dont burst into tears!!!
Luckily Kel I'm not pregnant...imagine how I'd be then!!!
Better go, my growth is climbing up my leg!!! Gosh she beautiful.
Love Melissa

huggies: ummmm from 64-108 or something? dependent on size?
Well have just tied 140 bows today - onto candles for bomboniere and around cake boxes. Mel - I got rose-scented tealight candles 12 for $6 @ spotlight, and tealight holders for $1 at a $2 shop - plus packs of cellophane bags $4/20 bags and 8 rolls of ribbon @ 98c - they cost me all up $1.70 per person!
Pip is eating his avocado & toast atm, his naps are scarily erratic, took ages to settle him last night ...
Mel - D&M is good. If you're anything like me, when the MCHN asks "so how are YOU going?" I burst into tears without fail!!!
Jen - no good with your DH :(
-
Good Evening, thought i had better post to keep us on the page....
Kaz- Pip sounds like Beau - we are all over the place, that in itself is becoming the routine...grrrr!
You seem to be doing really well with the sandwiches and toast etc, Beau still shoves it ALL in at once, he can only manage rusks, or cruskits, any advice?
Mel - I put nappies on with B standing up at a chair, couch or tv! Anyway really....hey I know how you are feeling, sometimes i question the second too, when things are s***, thats good you gave him a bit of a wake up call. Bloody project car, hummpph!
Us - Well, I was going to loose it today too - "Mum...mum...mum...mum" is all I heard all day- grabbing my legs and whinging!
Not happy in;
Baby Bjorn, Pram, swing out the back, in speedos being doused with the hose, in the bath with mummy, eating in his chair, even being fed avacado watching spongebob!
Happy When;
Daddy came home.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone, well I'm at home whilst DH is at the pub grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I understand it's the last time for "shift change" that he will do this as we leave in 2 & a half weeks. But we have a bubs in bed with a temp of 38.3, conjunctavitis, snotty nose, coughing up a fit, hasn't eaten all day & had the runs!!! I have had no sleep..he's crying out every 30mins the poor dear....Oh I just wish I could make him better.
Went to the Bon Jovi concert on the weekend, left DH with Charlie for 2 days & this is how he ends up,he,he...I know it's not his fault. Prob Day Care.
Lucky here, we don't have any probs at change time...he just lies down & lets me do what I got to do. Unless he is tired he will cry but doesn't squirm! hope it stays that way for a bit yet.
No good with finger food here either, cruskits he loves. Everything else he's got no idea...I try each day with toast, sandwiches etc as it would be soooo much easier...but nope!
Awwww Jen, hope things get better. I broke down too recently & miss my family soooo very much. This next move I think will be great for us. Just remember to take some much needed time out when you can.
Oooh got to go, hope to post later. Poor bubs is crying again.
-
Hi!
Not much happening here...took Dylan to the dr's yesterday and as I thought it's just a viral thing...he seems a lot better today again and did really well out doing the food shopping etc! He wouldn't have his last bf tonight and I was heading out to a TBS meeting so I gave him some formula and he gulped down 100ml...hmmm - hope he has his 3 feeds tomorrow.
I'm very excited as he starts gymbaroo tomorrow and I just know he's going to love it!! Louis is having a playdate with a friend from mothers group so it will just be Dylan and I playing!! should be lots of fun!
Kel - Sorry to hear about the odd sleeps...how many is she having in a day?? Maybe you need to drop one so that she goes to bed earlier??
I use the mamia wipes as well - it just annoys me trying to pull them out of the stupid container - I always grab 10 of them - LOL!
Jen - Know the feeling...Dylan is always hanging off my legs - its sooo annoying - I just walk away and leave him there standing up so he has to work out what to do - LOL! Nah...it doesn't seem to matter what you do they're just like it at this age. Big hugs - I promise they grow out of it and then we're chasing them for cuddles!
Sorry to hear about you and dh...I'm sure things will get better soon...
Melissa - Sleeps good! You guys will get there - dh and I have had our moments (and still do!) I find you really need to spell it out for them - don't expect them to "know" - otherwise you just end up disappointed and then end up confused! I agree - you really need to get as much sorted out now before you have another one as trust me, it gets a lot harder!!
Make sure he's involved with things on a daily basis with Olivia. That it's his job to get her bathed or read her stories before bed or watch her while you cook tea (or all of them!) and that goes for on the weekends as well. They need to know that they are responsible as well and can't always just go and do as they please - set down ground rules. My dh used to go out 2-3 times a week before kids and the rule was 1 night out a week now.
Anyway...enough from me...we've just been through lots of it before!! Communication is the key or it will end up blowing up out of proportion when you get really frustrated!
Kaz - Yeah on getting everything organised for your wedding - sound like everything is going really well!
We really should organise another catch up soon!! It's been ages - I would love to see the kids and how much they've grown!!
Erin - I'm soooo sorry to hear Charlie's so sick - it's so horrible and stressful not being able to do anything to help really. Hope dh isn't home too late - they really have no idea sometimes! hehe. Hope you had a great weekend!
oh! and Dylan took 4 steps today!! Woohoo! He really toddled 3 of them and then with the last one lunged at me - LOL! It was soo cute!
-
Hi girls,
I hear you all on the changing the nappy scenario but i found that when i put his mobile from his cot onto his change table he layed still for me enough to change him.
we had our first camping trip on the weekend to byron and luke loved it. the first night he was a bit iffy and woke up during the nite but other than that he was great. we then had his first day at daycare and that didn't go as good. i left crying as he was crying but i got home and had so much cleaning to do from camping that it took my mind off and before i knew it i was picking him up. so it has been a big week of first's and we finally have his 3rd tooth cut thru - yay.
well i promise i will do personals later as i hear someone little hands getting into something. take care girls
-
Hi girls,
I'll do personals later but just had to let you all know that Phoebe is pulling herself up on everything. She only started commando a month ago and I never thought she would be doing this so soon after. She is kneeling on her own and getting fully up on her feet.
-
Afternoon ladies!
Kris - OMG how cute!
Kel - hope he's feeling better soon, and you get some rest. I think that definately, the change of state means a change of what he can/can't do!
Tiff - woohooo!
Jen - I only gave Pip the crusts to begin with (the outer edge crusts) and they were dry, then started with dry toast .. then buttered toast ... and lots of me eating the same off his plate, very exaggerated chewing from me showing my teeth? IYKWIM? He's tried to choke himself a couple of times, but I've only cleared his throat a few times, he's learnt to not swallow etc himself. Never did cruskits though? Hope B feels better - I'd be tempted to just give him to his dad and go for a long, long walk!
Us - well bought the baby food, its in the freezer, looks yum. 3 whole days without Pip!!!! AND! our CC has a place for us the 4th day, so now just need the monday !!!! (but we're going to try to alternate RDOs to avoid that ... ) And my Dad had to fill out Pip's first "incident report" from when he fell over and hit his head, apparently there were diagrams and everything. I just wanted to know how the heck they kept the cold compress on him, cause I can't keep the ice-pack on his bruises!
-
Olivia is 10 months old today....whats happening to time???
She was awake every 2 hours last night, not for feeds though, only 1 of those. I think she is cutting the top tooth, feels a bit sharp there but she doesnt let me near it most of the time.
Am feeling better I got issues off my chest the other day. DF is giving up one of his sports, so that means he will be home an extra 2 nights a week:) I also asked him to be more involved in olivias care, so lat night was a start, helping me with showering and got her dressed in pjs. He's making an effort...so far!
I have decided to go back to work 1 day a week and my mum will look after the moo. Hoping things are settling down.
Anyway, thats enough of me....how is everyone, congrats on Phoebe pulling herself up and Dylan taking steps.
got to go, Olivias playing with stuff she shouldnt.....
Love melissa

Hi Everybody,
Feeling crappy today as Beau decieded to wake up at 10pm last night after I only got home from work at 9pm! And now today I have really bad nausea (last week too) so I went and got a PG test...it was negative but I was freaking out! I am not ready yet (Kel you are a wonder woman!)
Erin - Poor charlie! You poor thing on your own... grrr men! Hope he is feeling better now, hope there is no pub close by when you move!
Kris - How was gymbaroo? Yeah I believe you that they will grow out of it - he is a little better today, Dh minded him last night and informed me when I got home that he is better when you sit with him! Yeah I know that! Thanks but I do have chores to do! Aren't they hilarious? Things are better there at the moment so all is cool thanks.
Iona - thats cool you guys went camping! i am way too chicken, seen too many movies...
Tiff- Go Phoebe! More fun for mum!
Kaz- Thanks I will try him again just with the crusts. Poor thing! an incident report! How are you feeling about 5 days without Pip?
Mel- that sounds like Dh is trying, thats wonderful. My Dh has always been really involved with Beau's care so that is a blessing for me i am thankful for.
Ok i am watching a crap movie while Beau is asleep x

Hi ladies,
Well I'm having a bludge day today. I told mum I had to go to work today, though I arranged with my boss not to. So my mum has Lil and DH is at work (I told him what I was going to do...) I feel a bit ashamed of myself for lying to mum, but somehow she makes me feel so guilty whenever I ask her to look after her so I can get stuff done, kid free. I am (was!) doing uni work I need to do and I have done other things down the road so it's not actually a propper at home-in-my-jarmies lazy day, but child free all the same.
Lil slept the night through last night, well she woke twice when I got into bed for her dummy, but I popped it in and she was straight back to sleep. She woke at 6.50 this morning, so that was really good. She is sleeping better these past few nights, more back into her 'routine' if you can call it that, LOL! Going to bed no later than 8pm, so that's good. DH and I get some us time. Though he's usually glued to the tv or computer (if I'm not on it)...but in my defence I usually only log on if he's glued to the telly.....We have been having 'us' hiccups too. Well I think it's mostly me, I don't think he even realises there's anything all that different or wrong. I'm pretty bad talking about things, so it makes it hard for me to explain to him. And being pg again doesn't help me.....ahhh the joys of being a grown up and a wife!!
Well I can't remember what's on the last page  (lets blame baby brain...), so I will just chat to those of you on this page...
Tiffany, :claphands: yay at pheobe standing up!! Lil learnt how to last week and she's quickly learning how to cruise the furniture, so there is nothing that's safe if it's in her reach!!
Kaz, I think you got us confused with...Erin?? Maybe!
Yay that you have got the days you need for Pip in childcare. That's great, now you can go to work without a worry!!
Mel, Happy month day to Olivia, hehe!! I know what you mean about time....it's just disappearing before my eyes. Lily will be 10 months in 2 weeks...then she'll be one 8 weeks later, OMG!!!!! This is all flying by too quickly, it feels like only yesterday we were all chatting about morning sickness! Well I was actually, LOLOLOL!!!! But about these bubs, hehe.
That's great you had a chat to DH, and that he's making an effort. They really have no idea how hard it is until they do it. My DH didn't then when I started prac and he had to look after her for 6 hrs (only 6hrs!!) a day, he freaked out at how busy and boring and challenging and everything, it can all be. I actually felt good going back to work. It gives you time with adults and to be a bit of your old self again, not just mummy. I think so anyway!
Hahahaha, Jen, I'm no wonderwoman!!! Just stupid for not going straight onto the pill when I finished bf!! Sorry to hear you feel yuck. I hope it's nothing serious.
Ok gonna go and do more work...maybe :D
Luv Kel.

Hi All,
I went down to Rye last night for a hens night and left Olivia with DF for the night. I didnt get home til after lunch. He did really well and she was so good for him by the sounds of it. Although he did comment it has taken him twice as long to get his paperwork done!!! I feel much more relaxed now:)
I decided to take the movement montitor from the cot, as it was going off everytime moo rolled to the edge of the cot and on her side. Am thinking this will be ok. Does anyone know the SIDS age where they are past risk???
Hope everyones having a great weekend,
Love Melissa
-
Hi all,
Sorry there's not going to be any personals. Been awol after doing my back last week. Reid is teething and had a bad night. After walking with him for 4 hours he finally dropped off, so I bent to put him in his cot and something went pop. Been laid up since and doing physio etc.
Hope everyone else is well.

CONGRATULATIONS KAZ ON YOUR WEDDING
Heres to great times ahead. hope it went well:)

Hi!
What a busy few days! Dylan had Gymbaroo last Thur and loovved it! He was so excited to just have my attention I think and was crawling arounk kidding the other kids and doing lots of dancing! Louis had a great time at his friends house as well so it was all good!
Friday, Louis had his first trip to the dentist which went well, Sat we had pizza at my dads before he heads away on a holiday so the kids had a ball (and a very late night) Yesterday we went to werribee zoo which was awesome. Dylan didn't get much out of it but Louis loved seeing all the animals and going on a bus ride!
So today we've done food shopping and the kids are both asleep!! I really need to clean the house but can't help but chill out and enjoy the time they are sleeping! LOL!
Iona - Yeah on Luke's first camping trip! Sorry to hear daycare didn't go to well...it's very hard to see them upset - I can only imagine how easy it was to clean up the house though! Hehe. Yeah on his 3rd tooth as well!
Tiffanny - What a clever little girl she is!!! They'll all be starting to walk in the next few months!!!
Kaz - I hope you had an amazing day!! I can't wait to hear all about it! Ooh 3 days away will be fine but I'm sure you'll manage!!! Yeah on the chilcare nearly being sorted out!
Melissa - Ooh bugger that Olivia was up every 2 hours! Urgh. Thats fantastic that you go so much sorted out with your dp though! Yeah!! Thats great that your mum can watch Olivia while you go back to work!
Yeah at having a night out for yourself!!! How fun! LOL at dh taking twice as long to get paperwork done - the story of our lives! Hehehe.
I would take the moniter thing out for sure if it's going off so much...I think the risk lessens dramatically after 6 months but you may have to check the sids website.
Jen - Big hugs...I did a p/g test the other day as well cos I had nausea etc but it turned out to be my period on its way...well at least I think so...could just be hormonal cos I missed about a weeks worth of pills over this month! LOL! I'm so hopeless!
LOL at dh telling you to sit with him - no they have no idea! Hehe.
Kel - Thats great you had a bubba free day - I wish I could do that!!! It will just never happen though! LOL! Maybe when mine are all at school?? Hehe.
Sorry to hear you and dh are having some dramas as well...I'm with you on the grown up stuff - sometimes we just want someone to come in and look after us - no such luck for me. I'm always amazed at some people that have such close families that help out all the time (without treading on toes) I can only hope that I have it with my own family - although having boys it's probably not that likely!
My dh openly admits he wouldn't want to be a sah dad. The most he's looked after the boys was probably the other week when I was at conference so probably about 8-9 hours. He coped really well. But he hasn't had to take them both out anywhere like the shops or anything when your trying to deal with them both on your own! Thats a whole different story than just being at home!
Lee - Oh no - just what you needed after pacing for 4 hours! You poor thing - I hope you feel better soon and Reid settles down..
Ok - I really must go and do some tidying!
Chat later!
-
Hi All,
Well beau has decided to wake one hour after going down every noght now, he just screams and wont be settled and then is pooey when he eventually is back up. we have to take him outside and show him the dogs or whatever to calm him down, its really not like him! He isnt sleeping much in the day either, he only has a little tooth next to the big ones coming down and this is the worst he has been with any of them (if thats what it is!)
Kel- dont feel guilty, its important you chill out to keep sane too! I hear you with the tv glue! Foxtel is the death of romance i say!
Mel - thats great you had a day out
Kris - you guys have been busy! I am glad i am not the only nauseous one taking tests!
Lee - poor you with your back - rest up
Kaz - Hope marital bliss will treat you as well as us whingers!! LOL! seriously hope you had a great day and enjoy the time without Pip xxx
Better go and clean ick! Bye
-
Hi All,
I went back to work yesterday and gees it was good to talk to several different adults for an entire 8 hours!!! Plus some money coming in.
Little moo has 2 top teeth coming through and boy are they giving her greif! Her gums are so swollen, she has a snotty nose a cough, rubs her ears, sooky temp and worst of all she went to give me one of her open mouth kisses when my mouth was open and my bottom teeth collided with her top gums...ouch and blood:( They are so close to being through...at least this morning shes in better spirits.
Well better run, hope you are all well,
love melissa
-
Hey Mel,
Poor Olivia! Beau got a snotty nose when his top ones came down too - he bangs his ears and rubs at them when he is tired - i never thought it might be teething????mmmmm
-
Hey, wow its very quiet in here...I must have way too much time on my hands!!!
We have just been down to the Drs thismorning and Olivia has bronchitis. Shes on antibiotics for the next 6 days. Hopefully it will start clearing up quickly. I knew she wasnt well when she reintroduced her morning sleeps and that cough...i thinks its really hard to decipher between teething and illness. Well shes asleep now (again), so better go and make the most of my time...probably surf the net!!
Take care
Love Melissa
-
Hi girls,
sorry I've been MIA, things have been pretty busy.
Mel, sorry to hear Olivia's sick, poor chicken. I hope she gets on the mend soon.
Yay for you going back to work!! It' nice to talk to adults for a change huh? I officially start back tomorrow, though I've been doing prac for a few months so it's been like working for me anyway.
Grrrr, LIl's awake...must go, I hope everyone else is good
:) Kel.
-
Hi!
It's been busy around here!! Kids had swimming on Tuesday - Dylan loovved it!!! He did so well kicking his legs and putting his face in the water!! So cute!
Louis had kinder Wed so Dylan had a play at his cousins house and yesterday he had gymbaroo! He's now confidently crawling through tunnels now!
He's weaned himself off another feed so I'm just feeding him morning and night now and he has a cup of formula at lunch or in the early arvo. I'm not giving him a bottle because he already knows how to drink from a cup and I don't want to confuse him!
Jen - I find my boys wake up after 45min-1h after going to sleep if they're overtired, or I've cuddled them to sleep, or if they've eaten heaps for dinner and hit hasn't had much of chance to settle iykwim?? (My biggest reason though is cos they wake each other up but obviously you don't have that one!!) Unfortunately I don't have any solutions for you though (fat lot of good I am hey?) hehe.
I'm not sure about the whole teething thing...I know Louis got them later but he didn't have any signs or symptoms at all...the only thing with his molars was that he was a bit more dribbly and got a rash where his dummy was sitting...Dylan hasn't got any yet so no symptoms for him yet either - although I can see the 2 bottom ones moving there way up so they're on there way!
Melissa - Glad you had a great day at work!! Poor Olivia - I hope she gets better quickly!!
Kel - Glad your all well - congrats on 2nd tri!! Have a great day at work today!
Better jump in the shower - I'm babysitting my nephew today and so won't have a chance to get anything done I'm sure!
Oh and we're off to Phillip Island for the weekend!!! I'm soooo excited!!!! We rented a house and dh's parents are coming down and my brother & family so should be nice to get away!!! We haven't been on holiday for AGES!!!!!
Hope you all enjoy your weekends!
-
Where is everyone?????????????????????????????????????????? ???
We are doing well - i worked two massive long days last week so just chilled on the weekend....but I think we have decieded to move up the coast!! i have lived in the city all my adult life so its a massive decision for me!
Beau had some leg ham on Saturday and has paid for it all yesterday with an extremely sore bum and went to bed very unhappy at 5:30pm and woke up at 6:30am this morning!
Ok hi to everyone - we all must be extremely busy fulfilling new years resolutions or something....
-
Hello ladies!
we just had one hell of a night here - DH informs me he was up "every half hour" but it was more like hourly *hehe* with Pip. He's also discovered he (too) can't settle Pip like I can - or my parents! - I put it down to the total refusal to sing to Pip. Twice last night he was walking around with screaming Pip and then lay him next to me where I sang and then silent Pip! We had Panadol at 10:30, 4:30 and bottles at both of those too.
Our honeymoon was Pip-less and wonderful, we guiltily missed the dog more initially (when we were hiking) but then we saw a photo of him on my lappy and missed him horribly. Lots of BD though! heheeh.
Jen - yay on moving! What a huge move, where are you thinking of going to?
Mel - congrats on returning to work, and not long now till your wedding!!!!! Good to see your DF is giving up a night of sport too.
Kris - can't believe D still doesn't have any teeth! sounds like he's having fun at swimming & gymbaroo, I wish I could do those with Pip!
Anyhows, I'm off, I smell a pooey bum ;D

Hi girls,
Well I have been pretty busy lately with prac, work and an assignment. NOt to mention Lil to look after and our house, not that that is getting much looking after lately  .Our place is a mess! I have been feeling a bit off the last few days too, I think it's just from doing too much. I have been so tired and headachey, just really off, but not anything in particular. Lil has been good for the most part, though last night she woke four times, the night before three, and for an hour at 4am. She's going to bed at 9 but still waking at 6am, I have no idea why, I don't hink her teeth are bothering her too much, maybe she's unsettled with me being at work now??
Mel, sorry to hear you and olivia are sick. I hope you both feel better soon.
Kaz, great to see you back. I hope you had a marvellous wedding day and honeymoon!! We're all waiting for piccies you know??
I hope Pip is batter for you tonight. Maybe it's a wonder week now for our bubs?
Jen, Oooh how eaciting on moving!! DH and I have toyed with moving up or down the coast. We probably will one day, though not just yet. I'm a city girl too, but I think I'd enjoy a slower kind of life. Do you have any ideas where yet?
Kristie, I hope you had a great time away. I hope the weather and the boys behaved for you!!
Ok gotta go and put my monkey to bed.
-
Good Morning!
Kaz - Thats great you guys had a great time! LOL at missing the dog more!!! We are thinking around Umina maybe? I havnt been up there for ages but DH is from there so.....? I want walking distance to the beach - if i am giving up cafes.....He knows I am the one to convince IYKWIM. I need to learn to drive too!
Mel - Thats no good Olivia is still sick (and you!)...when I need to give Beau panadol or something I give him an object he isnt allowed usually to distract him (sort of) like my mobile, a pen etc....
Kel- you sound busy! I think all our bubbas are going thru the same thing with the wake ups - B did it the other day when I was working and i tried to convince DH it was cause he missed me too! I think a move for us was always on the cards - we cant have another bubba living here and we cant afford a bigger house in the city. More space to decorate - yeah!!! I will just have to shop online....
Us - Beau is doing the one hour later wake ups at the moment, but he goes down pretty early so its not to painful or late thank god. I went to a sale yesterday and plopped him on the ground and he loved watching all the women shop...too funny. He still has a red bum and his poos are WRONG!!! I think i am going to give him super bland stuff for a while - that said we shared a lemonade icy pole yesterday and he loved it and held the last little bit by the stick!
Ok bye x

Hi!
We had a great weekend at Phillip Island - the kids loved it! Dh and I even managed to get a bit of a surf in on the Sunday while our family was on the beach watching the kids! (not that I can surf but I had fun!)
Jen - Wow at moving up the coast - sounds great!!! It's always scary moving out of your comfort zone but I'm sure you'd love it! Oh no - poor Beau with the ham...How cute of you guys sharing a icypole! Awwww.
Kaz - I'm so glad you had a great time!!! Gosh - I'm so looking forward to our anniversary in May - we're heading away for a weekend just the 2 of us - well, at the moment I'm only convinced I'll handle 1 night away from the boys but 2 would probably do us good!
Sorry to hear Pip was so unsettled last night...I hope you all get a better sleep tonight!
Melissa - I'm soo sorry to hear you guys are so sick - I hope you both get better very soon!! It's a nightmare giving babies medicine - although Louis now loves it and sucks it out of the little syringe! Crazy kid - LOL!
Kel - Make sure you get plenty of rest!!!! You sound super busy so just make sure you take it easy!!! And definitely don't worry about the housework (gosh, you want to see my place - LOL!)
Ok - got to run - stacks to do and I can't seem to get off the computer - LOL! Chat later!

Finally I am feeling better, yay, although my throat is very raw still. olivia has her final dose of the steroid today and even shes looking good. We are off to the paediatrician today coz the health nurse had concerns that her head was growing a lot faster than the rest of her and also something with her feet. Shes finally cut those top teeth and is now grinding...eeewww. Am having a lot of difficulty cleaning her teeth coz ever since she had to take those meds, she wont let me in there without good reason and teeth cleaning is not!!! For the meds I had to lay her down, pin her arms to her chest, wait for her to cry (open mouth) stick in meds and then straight away dummy. Its was the only way I could do it. She was spitting it out, thrashing about and we werent getting anywhere. I needed an extra hand most of the time, but DF was at work so I mastered it on my own!!!
Enough of me!!! Kaz wb, how was the wedding and honey moon???? Only 8 weeks til ours....
Kel, hows the pregnancy going?? Sounds like you're doing too much. Dont worry about the housework, get some rest.
Jen, hows b's bum going, has the food made any difference? Is he getting more teeth?? I definately would require substitution for cafes, however in saying that, I did the complete opposite, I moved from St.kilda...beach and cafes to springvale south...have to drive EVERYWHERE. It was a big compromise on my behalf...this or moving further out into the middle of suberbia.
Kristie- those boys keeping you busy??? Good to hear you had a nice weekend away and you'll be fine in May for your anniversary.
Hello to everyone else...sorry you are all on the other page and Olivia is having issues with daddys speaker wire. I cant believe he still hasnt fixed stuff up....oh well I just say to her 'be careful chewing on daddys cds, and try not to wreck his ampliphier(sp)...daddy will fix it some day!!!!!
Got to run,
Take care
Love Melissa
ps...we need to catch up again soon

Hi!
Wow - it's quiet in here!!!
We're all well...Kids are good. The boys had swimming yesterday which was fun and Louis had kinder today. Dylans pointing all the time now and gets so excited. I'm not sure if I wrote but he say "Uh-oh" now and Mum allll the time. He also plays with the dinosars and says "roar". He was outside with Louis this arvo and dh peeked out the window and he took 4 steps on his own for no good reason (us not prompting him) So not long until he's walking I don't think...He's such a gorgeous boy...
Melissa - So glad to hear your starting to feel better. You poor thing having to give Olivia medicine like that - well done for getting it done on your own though!! It's amazing what we're capable of when we have to do something - lOL! Maybe just give her the toothbrush to munch on until she gets used of it again. It's better than nothing anyway. Hope the visit to the paed is ok...
I would love to catch up - just a matter of picking a time I suppose! We should get in before Kaz head back to work!? Mondays and Fridays are good for me through the week, otherwise let me know if you'd prefer a weekend...
Chat later!

Hi all, just a quick pop in to say "hello"...things are flat out here ATM....moving next week & DH has broken a bone in his foot **screams**. So I have been flat out, not to mention crook as for the past week - almost had a melt down yesterday but a bath helped.
Kaz...any wedding pics uploaded yet?? Can't wait to see some - hope it was everything you wished for.
Not much new here, Charlie has 10teeth, still hasn't stopped growing & it's just so tall. He stands up a bit on his own now & is into everything. He has also just hit a real clingy stage & cries when he can't see me or crawls down the hall crying & saying "mum, mum, mum" all the way.
Prob wont pop in for a little while as I have to pack, clean, etc & then will be offline for a bit whilst we visit family in SA on our way to QLD.
So hope you all are well & the little ones also. Anyone started thinking about 1st birthdays? I'm a bit excited we are having a "train" cake for Charlie tomorrow as the mum's wanted to have something for him before we left....then we will have a big party with the family later in the year when we head back home for a visit.

Heeellllllllllloooooo (echo, echo)
I went to work again yesterday, great to see cash in my bank account!!! Am going to see the family day care lady today and see what i can organise for care. Maybe 2 or 3 days a week.
Olivias much better now. We went to the paed and he said shes doing great developmentally considering being in her harness for so long. Just needed to buy her some shoes to help her flatten her feet as she stands....will only prevent her walking any sooner, and hes not worried about her head.
Erin good luck with your move, as its such a big one. Wow that Charlie has 10 teeth.
Kristie, will let you know once i see the child care lady and we can organise a time to catch up.
Better go get myself some food,
Take care all
Love Melissa

Hi!
Dylan's now walking between the furniture and toddling around a little around the lounge room!!! So cute! He's also really good at pointing to our noses, mouth an eyes! He's all of sudden decided that he likes books finally! He hasn't been to interested until now and I'm sure it's just because Louis loves them so much!
Poor little thing fell off the bed this morning...he's really good not climbing off (he even hops off the couch toes first) but it's when he sits back from crawling that he moves to close to the edge and fell right back...I felt so bad!!
He had gymbaroo yesterday and loved it!!! Except for when we have to lie them down and do activities - hates that bit...hehe.
Erin - Good luck on the move! What a big job!! Wow at Charlie's 10 teeth!!! I can't believe it!! Still no sign of any here yet! LOL! How cute your having a train cake!! I'm starting to get really excited about Dylans b'day. I'm thinking we're going to have to have a morning party for friends and then a family party in the arvo (we've only got a 2br unit so can't fit everyone at once - LOL) I'd ideally like to have it at the park but who knows what the weather will do in April!
I'm just stuck on a theme at the moment...Louis had bananas in pj's for his 1st and winnie the pooh for his 2nd...not sure what to do for Dylan yet..
Any ideas?
Melissa - Glad your enjoying work! I'm a bit like that at the moment - I haven't had many parties on lately but have one tonight and tomorrow so am eager to earn a bit of money again!!
For Mel and Kaz - I'm having a Total Learning party at my house on Sun 24th Feb at 1pm if you'd like to come! I'm actually becoming a consultant of that as well so it's my launch party!! Let me know!
Otherwise I can always hold a book look for your mothers group/friends etc!! No pressure - just an invite...don't want you to think I'm pushy! LOL!
Really must get some housework done! Chat later!

Hi All,
Well Mel I think we caught your lurgy....feel like **** so havent been doing a whole lot. Didn't work this week but I worked two last week so I guess that evens out hey?
Kris, beau is pointing at everything too - no steps yet but....Dylan is amazing! I guess he has his big bro to watch too hey? Beau cracks me up, he can be crying inhis cot to be picked up and then the minute he is is pointing and lisping "Pa" "th " etc !
Mel - I dont know whats going on with Beau's food and bum! He is pooing every nappy at the moment, he seems really sensitive towards food, but he is a little piggy and is now shoving the whole cruskit peice in his mouth and vomiting it up! Thats great the Paed thinks Olivia is doing so well, what rubbish about her head! My GP rang me the other day asking why I havnt taken B back to the paed about his little bird bath chest - made me feel soooo bad! Bad mother bad mother!
Erin - I hear you with the 'mum mum mum' all day! Good luck with your move and visits etc, Charlie has a mouthful now! 10 teeth! WOW! B has 6....
Ok better run, I have just done some canvases with Beau's name on them - I am going to have to 'edit' his room (and all our others) as you guys know I love to decorate! But I think when you sell a house it should be a bit simpler! i just bought some vaccum bags for all my extra cushions!!!! But something good with my decorating fetish, I hung all these awesome indian/maroccan fabric lanterns over his cot a week ago, and ever since he has chatted to them until he falls asleep!!! How cool is that?
-
Hi!
Sorry to hear your not well Jen! Poor Beau with his poo's - I wonder if he has an allergy to anything? Have you changed anything in his diet lately?? Your not a bad mother!!! I'm sure you'll get to it!
Wow - you're house sounds great with all that decorating! I'm useless when it comes to all ofthat!
Mel - Forgot to say earlier that I'm glad everything is great with Olivia with her visit to the paed!!
Just had my SIL and nephew over for a visit which was great. Now I really must get some work done!! Chat later!

Hi girlies!!
Well another busy few days here. Lily has been sick for a few days and is a clingly little thing. It's the first time she's been sick and I feel sorry for her :( Shes only got a cold, but she's so miserable, all stuffy and clammy and snotty. She keeps on wiping her snotty nose on me!! And she won't let me put her down, which is ok cause all I can do is cuddle her anyway. She had three sleeps on me today, it's the first time I have let her sleep on her since she was tiny. But she feels better for it and so do I! I had a day off work for her today, my third day back and I'm having days off already  but for her I'd do anything!! I don't really like it there anyway, so I don't care how many days off I'm taking...Plus I've hardly slep for three days die to my little snufaluffagus! I could have fallen asleep standing up this morning, thankfully mum had Lil for a few hours and let me sleep, though she ended up whinging for me after 1 1/2hrs and I had to get up. But it was enough sleep to get me to now!
Jen, I hope Beau's poos are better, LOL! Lil had a few that were pretty grotty a few days ago too, I have no idea why, they're back to normal now though thank goodness.
Kris, yeah, I'm pretty buggered. I need more time in my days! Even though I'm only working two days a week, it has made a big difference. I'm going to bed early tonight though!
Wow at Dylan starting to walk! He's such a clever monkey :) Lily is standing on her own now and cruising the furniture, but it will be a while before she walks yet. I have a 'mumumumumummm' all day bub too, hehe, she says it if she wants me or not, just when she's playing etc...drives me insane!
Mel, pg going well, thanks for asking. I forget that I'm pg sometimes. It is so different from my pg with Lily where all I did was worry- about what I ate, what I did, if it was the right thing, kwim? This time, I don't do any of that. I eat what I want (within reason!!) I do what I normally do, and I forget that I'm pg! I was lifting some boxes of clothes at mums today and she went psyco at me, telling me to put them down, that my brother could do it. I asked her why?? LOL, I completely forgot I'm pg that I shouldn't really do it :D .
Glad to hear that Olivia is doing so well, at least being in the harness will have no lasting ill effects. And that you're both feeling better.
Erin, wow at 10 teeth, his mouth will be full of teeth before you know it!! How cute! Yep, I've been thinking about Lil's bday too. I have no idea what we'll do. It will be at mums, a bbq I suppose. I want to make her a pretty cake too, but no idea what! It's coming around so fast! I can't believe my baby's going to be one!
Good luck with your move. I hope it all goes smoothely for you and that your DH's foot feels better and ha can help you ;) .
Ok gotta go and SLEEP!!!! I hope everyone whos feeling yuck feels better soon.
Have a great weekend.
-
Hi!
Kel - Sorry to hear Lily's sick..poor little thing. Thats great you were able to get some extra sleep. Hope she's on the mend now.
Well - we went to a bbq last night and Dylan was walking around everywhere!! He's still mostly crawling but we plonk him down standing now rather than on his bottom/all 4's. He going really well. He'll walk from one piece of furniture to another and so on. Very cute!! He doesn't fall over either - he just squats back down for a rest or to crawl.
Visited a friend this morning who's building a house out in Gembrook. Absolutely gorgoeus! They've got about 14 acres of bush and it is sooo nice! They're building a little cottage house which is really cute and they've got veggie gardens going and chickens. Makes me wish we were moving up to the country again...
I had parties on Fri and Sat as well so I'm buggered. Michael's worked all weekend as well so we haven't really had any chill out time...We need a holiday at home I think!! Hehe.
k - babies are catching up with sleep after going to bed at 11pm last night!!!! So I should get some tidying done while it's quiet!
