Hi ya
Another 5:30 wake up day here and he has just woken up from a 45min nap - woken by a power saw and the d+++head that lives over the road's car!!! DH came home for lunch when Beau stirred and I nearly teared up! I just dont feel like a get a decent break!!!
Kel I hear you on the no - dryer thing - unfortunately with the house on the market I have to try and get the stuipid stuff dry in between veiwings - It took me a week of moving the towels every few hours to get them dry and when I came back from shopping last night DH had let Beau pull them into the bath!!!!!!Grrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!I nearly cried a that too! I think I have PG hormones aswell! Glad to hear Lil is sleeping better too - thats good you have a had a me day, good on you! Dont worry about your mum, thats what they are for!! Good luck with the dishes yuck!
Dis - Ben sounds like a little charmer like Beau - I was resting my head on the bed last night and he came in and climbed on me and landed a big kiss on my mouth - such a cutie! Your mum was lovely to let you go to bed early, Ben must have wanted to hang with Grandma.
I have to work all weekend doing up a showroom so DH has Beau and has to clean tomorrow morning for the open house - he gets to be me for 48hrs! Yipee!
-
Hey all,
Having a cleaning day at my house, but cant be stuffed doing the mopping! I have loads of washing on the line too and its so cold, nothings drying. I had to wash our sheets this morning coz I popped Olivia in bed with us at 6am with a bottle, thinking she would go back to sleep..nope she didnt, but she did a huge wet burp and had a bit of a chunder on the sheets,,yuck, it just gets stinkier!!!
Shes at day care now..is that bad of me to keep her there when I am not working?? I think she really enjoys it with the other kids. It also gives me time to do housework and bookwork and shopping..and at the moment we can afford to keep her going. From July we will cut back her hours.
DH is going away tomorrow til Monday.another boys weekend 4wd'ing!I want my weekend away!!! I suppose my time off is while she is at daycare, so I shouldnt complain. Plus I get to catch up with all my girlfriends this weekend without having to worry about him!!
Mel- glad youre getting some rest. Arent they cute, thats georgeous Ben did that to his dads tummy. Pregnancy hormones and tiredness suck!!!
Kel-glad youre having a you day. And also glad Lil is sleeping a bit better for you. Wish I could come help you clean...I'm a bit of a clean freak (my dads genes!), I get really funny if the house is untidy, although in saying that, I wouldnt eat off my floors! I was just looking at your ticker...you havent got long left. Yay, how exciting. Has bubs turned for you yet?
Jen- yuck on those early mornings. And if my DH let bubs put the towel in the bath, I wouldnt know what to do first, cry or slap him!!! How frustrating. Enjoy having a break this weekend, even though you are working.
Hello to Kristie, Erin and everyone else:)
-
I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!
Apart from that, Pip's been biting at childcare, my cold is still horrid and we're looking at a new puppy tomorrow.
Kel - hope you feel a lot better, me days are great.
Mel - awwwwwwwww
Jen - its a sad day when you go to work for a "rest".
UZmmmmm i'm knackered, night
-
Congrats on the job Kaz.
I had some bleeding today, so went to ed. I have a scan tomorrow to make sure its all ok. DH is away, so am a bit nervous. It was really hard taking Olivia to the hospital and waiting for 4 hours. I couldnt get anyone to look after her. So am going to organise someone for the morning. I feel alright, just have some lower back pain. HOPEFULLY BUBS IS OK. I think its fine, just want to be on the safe side.
Chat tomorrow and let you know
Melissa
-
So quiet in here....
Alls good with bubs, bleeding has stopped:) Just going to take it easy.
-
Good to hear all is well Mel. I'm glad bubs is ok. And yep, taking it eay sounds like the thing to do. :)
-
Mel - do you still have my mobile #? If you need to go suddenly again, feel free to give me a call for Moo.
Good too all OK with Moo2 Mel. Not great to have a scare like that - why do things like that always happen when partners go away for the weekend?
Ummm now I have a puppy as well. What the heck have I done?
Pip is now climbing everything. Found him crawling across the coffee table today which wasn't a great feeling. Thinking I might buy an indoor slide thing and have that for him to play with.
-
HI Guys....
Tired after a really physical two days working, carrying massive lengths of timber up four flights of stairs and carrying bookcases and spending hours up ladders hanging jeans....tiring stuff! Although I am the sugar mumma around here now as I have all the cash! Just bought my boys brekka now we are off to BBQ king (there is a cotton on kids outlet right near it so I have my motives too;))
Mel - Gosh I was worried to read you were bleeding, but then glad you had posted everything was ok straight after = phew! How stressful with your DH away when all this happened, hope you are just resting as much as you can, did they say why you were at all?
Kaz - Congrats on the new job! Hope you will be happier there. Ouch on pip biting! What kind of puppy is it?
Kel- Hope you have got some washing dry by now - i have been baking little things of Beaus on the heater and rotating them LOL.
Us - Well B has woken at 5:30 every day except this morning which i think was a nightmare at 4:ooam....I changed his bum and DH got 100ml of milk ready and B went back to bed straight away and was up again at 7:15am. He is cuddling his teddy bears now when I say 'cuddle' and he is saying 'ouch' when he is near the heater or stove - he is a cutie.
Ok I am in bed so i am going to rest
-
Hey,
Kaz, I'm not too sure if I have your number still. Thankfully dh is back today, although I still havent been able to contact him:(
jen- they said its probably a blood vessel bursting when your uterus expands. They couldnt see anything happening with the placenta or the cervix that would cause a bleed which is fantastic. It only lasted one day and wasnt a great deal. I tried getting it checked privately but because it was a saturday everything was closed so the gp sent me to ed. At least I have a little picture of it now!!! Am feeling pretty good, just lower back pain, which i suppose is just part of this pregnancy. I had middle back pain with Olivia. I forgot about all the niggles you get with it too!!
Well Olivia has gone for a sleep, so am thinking of doing the same. I just checked in her mouth and she has 1 molar just through and there are two more that are very close. Shes been dribbling like no tomorrow.
Also my mil has broken both her ankles...another reason I need to talk to dh.
Ok got to run
Love Melissa
-
omg, broken both her ankles? How the heck? OUCH! poor thing.
I can't get my fingers in to look @ pip's teeth, he bites them :(
Puppy is a "kelpie cross" that I got from a rescue organisation. The father is a kelpie, mother unknown? Dunno how that works. But she looks like some kind of terrier, I wanted a ratter cause of the chooks (they bring rats).
Pip - well I'm still trying to get a photo of him on the coffee table. So much easier now he's eating "real" food - I made up beef strogonoff for us for the weeks' meals, and its sooo baby-friendly. Bit of rice and it's all good!
Anyhows, have a great weekend all.
-
Hiya girls,
Just a quick one from me, I can hear Lil stirring...
Well sleeping is improving, finally. Only one or two wakes lately, and good day sleepS. Today she slept til 8am!!! That's never heard of in this house, I'm lucky to get her to 7 usually!! AND she went to sleep in her cot on her own for her day sleep just now! WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!! I'm so excited, I even called DH to tell him, LOL! It's the first time in I dont even remember that she's done that! I'm hoping we're turning a corner....
We are well, if not a little stir crazy from the foul weather in Sydney, not to mention that our car is still dea so I can't even get to the shops or indoor playgraund, grrr!
Ok gotta go the monkey is really awake now, hope eeryone is well, tah tah.
-
Have tried posting twice with Beau up and he has deleted it and pulled the internet cord out - will come back later less annoyed!!!!!
-
Well I'm grumpy today so I'll keep it short!
Ben is sleeping terribly. Won't go to sleep on his own. Last night was up from 11:30-2am, not what a 1st tri preggo woman needs! That probably tells most of the story of why I'm grumpy :(
Also, DH was at the pub after work this morning (he works nights) and it got to me. I ended up in tears because I NEVER get to do anything like that. He didn't get it. I don't get to be spontaneous anymore. If I do want to go out with friends, there is planning to be done, I can't just knick off whenever I feel like it. Anyway I got over it after a big cry!
Sorry to be so down, but it's just not a good day and I just needed to get it out!
-
hey girls
Kel- yay on egtting some sleep. Its about time:)
Jen- arent they buggers!
Mel- hugs to you. Olivia has been through the whole 2 hour wake up over night and during my first trimester. Its so hard too. I hope its a one off for him. And husbands have no idea sometimes. How nicce would it be just to be able to go do something, anything! And when your tired it makes it 10 times worse.
Us- alls good. Am so happy that dh is home. I cried the whole night...dont know why but I did. Secretly I missed him!!!
At the moment my joints are aching so cant sleep properly, but got to feel a few kicks last night.
Well got to run...dinner atr the in laws
-
disgirl - *hugs* they just don't get it, do they?
Mel - glad you're enjoying DH being home. Mmmm, spoilt for tea!
Kel - yay for sleep!
Jen - naughty beau.:D
Us - well he's definately teething again. I saw 2 more teeth in his lower jaw - eye teeth perhaps? And there's a HUGE drool thing happening. Slept OK last night, only woke @ 4am, DH gave him milk and he slept until 8:30 when I woke him. Not too shabby!
Have a great night all!
-
Thanks girls!
Mel, is the aching joints a pg thing or is it some other problem? Hope you get some sleep soon. I've found that a decent nights' sleep makes a WORLD of difference!
Kaz, how many teeth does Pip have now? Ben has 10 and four more look close. Have you tried the Bauers Teething Relief or the Hymans Teething Tablets? I love both of these products! I feel so much better giving Ben those rather than Panadol or Nurofen.
Sleeping til 8:30? I WISH!!! :)
We had a much better night last night. Ben slept from 7:30 until when I woke him at 6am this morning. I HATE waking him and left it as late as possible, but I was already late by then. Poor child had to wait until we got to mum's before he even got a changed bum (just wet thankfully) and breakfast - but he didn't do too bad, in fact he was in one of his clown modes and we spent most of the half hour drive laughing at each other :)
Last night he 'asked' his father to go to Disneyland. Hehehe. He has a postcard from Disneyland that he loves and I told him to go out to the kitchen and tell his daddy that he wanted to go. He walks into the kitchen, yells out "Dad!" DH turns around and says "Yes mate?". Ben holds up the postcard and grunts. Hehehe. I'm trying to talk him into Tokyo again when Ben's three and Twobob is about Ben's age now. We'll keep trying.... :) It worked for Disney On Ice after all ;)
-
Hi all,
Well I've had a pretty foul day and I'm tired now, so just a quick one.
We are well. Lily fell out of her cot last night and gave me the biggest fright of my life! She was ok after a cry. It was just a shock for her thank goodness. But that was the start of my horrible day. Had to work, ugh! But the good news about that is that tomorrow is my last day at work. Yaaaayyy! I got a few punches in the belly today from one of our more troublesome cherubs, not happy Jan! I told my boss I'd come in tomorrow to do the paperwork I need to do to be up to date, then I'm going home. She didn't say no! So yay, only a half day tomorrow too. But anyway, enough boohooing!!
Dis, I sympathise with the first tri sleepless nights, we had them here too. Maybe our big bubs can tell we're pg and are doing it because of that?? But yep, we were haveing nights of getting up up to 5-6 times a night and a few middle of the night parties too. It's so not easy especially when you're working.
LOL @ Ben asking about Disneyland, how cute! Hope your DH was listening :)
Mel, yaaay, on the kicks!! Your pg seems to be going so much quicker that mine, LOL! I feel like I've been pg for a year and I still have 9wks to go....
Kaz, I think we're teething again here, it so sucks, I hate teething and will be glad when all of them are here. She seems to have so many, but still more are growing!!
Lucky you at the 8.30 wake up, I wish we could get up that time, though 7am would do me!! Especialy when it's so dark and cold at 6am!
Hi to those who I've missed, hope all is well.
Ok I'm going to have a bath!
-
wow Kel, it doesn't feel like its time for your Mat Leave to start yet! WOHOo111!!!!
I was looking at the bauer gel yesterday @ macro wholefoods, was really tempted to get them. But we'll battle on best we can without anything ...
anyhows, Merbau Boy (from the marks on his forehead after a fall!) is doing well, loves the puppy although the puppy is lucky to be alive!!!! What with ear-pulling and neck twisting and paw biting .... He fell asleep early tonight, around 8pm, hopefully he'll sleep through.
DG - most mornings Pip's nappy is still relatively dry, so we drop him to CC still asleep if we can, they change his nappy and give him brekky and dress him for us :D
anyhows, just bought more MCN, about 10, so that should last me a bit longer!
Dream pretty ladies!
-
Hey there everybody....
Gosh it is so freezing here in Sydney today (hey Kel?) We have had the open house this morning of course (groan) and had to wake Beau for it so needless to say we are paying for it this afternoon....he is now at the shops with his dad;)
Kaz - I cant beleive Pip is so dry in the mornings - Beau's nappy weighs about 5kg with wee! Pip sounds like Beau with our dogs - how many do you have now? Two? I remember you had to have your older one put to sleep a while ago.:(
Kel - Yay no more work!!!!! Woo hoo for you!!!! Lil sounds like she is sleeping much better these days tho? Good timing seeing as though you are getting so close...exciting!! Is her cot at the lowest level? We did Beaus about a month or so ago - lucky she is tough! He dived into the bath the other day fully clothed - oh lord....! More wet clothes ick - since our dryer broke I loathe the rain!
Dis - thats cute about Ben and Disneyland! I have been to the one in LA twice - its pretty cheesy when you are in your early twenties and childless IYKWIM but with our little ones now it would be great! Tokyo sounds fab, my friend who is on IVF just had another failed run and they left for Japan yesterday to get away for a while. Glad Ben is sleeping better for you. Dis I am trying desperately to go and see SATC movie - but do you think......oh what is it with the pub anyway? I cant complain when my DH watches Fox sports all weekend - at least he is here.
Kris - How is the house going? Ours still sucks. Hope you are coping with the mad inspection clean ups.
Mel - Olivia sounds like her sleeping has settled for you. How is her impetigo now? And what about your MIL how is she and her ankles?
Us - We are pretty good - Beau's sleeping was a bit weird at the start of the week - I think the night after we went to BBQ king he had a belly ache that kept waking him up as I couldnt resettle him for long and he was up again half an hour later which is so unlike him, he was doing smelly farts too! Apart from that he is still up at 5:30-6:00am but he is down always by 7pm so I cant complain. He is becoming so cheeky its crazy, he says "yum" now when he eats and licks his lips when he sees food. He still isnt eating any fruit - I cant find anything he will eat. Any tips?
Ok the boys are back
Have a great weekend
x
-
HEy all,
how is everyone going? Hope you are all well.
Well we've had a few up and down nights in the past week. Olivia has a cough and cold, but shes cutting teeth. Last count was 3 molars and I spotted the 4th today. At least they are coming at the same time. Shes back on antibiotics as her face hasnt cleared up. So the dr is trying that with a combination of canestin cream. It seems to be doing the trick, although the bucket loads of drool is making it hard, plus the eczema on top. At least shes in good spirits though. Just hope she doesnt have scarring on her face. I will go back to the gp and get referrals for an allergist and skin specialist, if things dont clear this time. I dont like the idea of having her on the antibiotics for 2 weeks at a time....our last try though.
I had another bleed yesterday, but it was after strainging to go to the loo. I am a little constipated so that doesnt help. I didnt go to the drs this time, as I wasnt having any cramps. It cleared up by the evening. Must have a bit of weight pushing down and making the old bits sensitive!!!
Other than that, all is good, housework is done, Olivia is asleep and I am going to go lob!
Take care
melissa

Hiya ladies,
LOL, Kaz, for me this pg is really dragging along. I'm soo uncomfortable and over it already, and it started about a months ago! I still have 9wks to go and I just can't wait.
Jen, yep the weather in Sydney sucks lately, rainy freezing and windy, yuck, it's getting me down. I know we need the rain, but c'mon 2 (almost three) weeks of it is rediculous!! I can't take Lily down to the garden cause it's a swamp and can't dry out in the cloudy weather. She's going stir crazy. If it was just me I'd be quite happy to curl up in bed with a book, but she needs to run and be free! And the washing, oh goodness the washing!!! Our dryer died too so I have been trying to do small loads to dry in front of the heater, but I just can't keep up. I have sheets from about three weeks ago and haven't changed my bed for about that long too cause my laundry just couldn't handle the extra stuff at the mo!! Gross huh?? :)
Lil's like Beau in the nappy situation, it's a ten tonne nappy first thing and the second one after that is pretty drenched in about two or so hours, when they usually last 4 at least (disposables, not cloth-yet!!).
Yep, so glad not to be going back to work it's one less thing to worry about, as well as mum not 'having' to look after her, mind you it was only the odd days here and there cause DH usually had her at least one of the two/three days.
Yep her cot has been down at the lowest level since about 5mths cause she could stand in the cot then. It's a second hand, actually third hand (both my neice and nephew used it) cot, so I'm probably better off getting a new one. LOL @ B diving into the bath, I'm sure Lil would too if she could get her chubby little leg over the side, hehe!!
Good luck with the house, though I guess the weather isn't really doing much for you??
Mel, :comfort: big hugs hun. You're having a bit of a tough time with your pg this time, huh? I'm glad to hear the bleeding stopped, and like you said I'm sure it was just that you were putting in a bit too much effort, LOL! You might have just burst a blood vessle. Are you taking anything for the constipation? I have to take metamucil every day and I'm pretty aware of my fruit and water intake. Otherwise I would pay for it big time too.
Sorry to hear Olivia's got a cold. And that her impetigo isn't clearing up properly.I hope the medicine works this time.
Well as for us, we got our car fixed...$1600 later! Stupid thing. It would barely even be worth that much to sell! Well...maybe a bit more but still!!! I told DH we will let it rest in peace next time it dies. I want a bigger newer car.
Sleeping, sleeping....who needs sleep obviously not me! I spoke too soon AGAIN! After several nights of one wake up and 7am mornings, I was soooo hoping she had gotten it together, mais non!! Last night had to be one of our worst. Down at her normal time, 7.00/30, then up at 10.30 (as soon as my head hit the pillow!) until 12.30, then again at 1.30, 2.00, 2.30, 3.30, 4.00, 5.00, and 6.00 for the day. OMG I am tiiiired!!!! I tried to bring her to my bed, nope, not gunna happen, I tired the lounge which worked for her, but I was sooo uncomfy with her laying on my belly, knees dug into it and foot in my hip. My arm was dead from her weight on it, this was at 5am. I was fighting tired tears cause I was so frustrated and tired. I don't think I got an hour straight sleep at all.
Then my beautiful wonderful gorgeous DH came home after working for 12hrs and told me to go back to bed for 2hrs, oh my lovely man!! I almost cried, no seriously...even though he hadn't slept at all he told me to go to bed. He was playing soccer at 11am so 2hrs sleep probably would have made him feel worse, but still. I'm hoping tonight is better, couldn't be any worse...at least DH is home tonight and for the next few nights.
Ok enough with the poor me!
I hope everyone has a great night, and that you are all well :D
-
ooh goodness.
Jen - I have dogs now, Labrador age 3, puppy age 10 weeks. Have you tried mandarins? I bought some lovely tiny organic ones. First I peeled the membranes from them and then after he loved them, I just removed the seeds in the segments, and now I just hand him the whole segment and he pulls out the mandarin membranes & seeds, makes a pile of them and then eats the membranes. (very cute).
Else ... mushed nanas?? In custard? Stewed everything? In custard :) custard is a wonderful thing.
Oooooh and smoothies. I've been giving Pip smoothies made from sara lee frozen fruit which are quite funky.
Kel - ooooh man, I hope Pip doesn't go through that phase again, I remember having to sleep with him on the sofa. He's too big for the sofa now though :(
Mel - we now have 2 molars, hopefully I'll have a break until the next ones come through!
Us - ARGHHHH @ DH. We went to Eastlink today, and they had NO baby change areas. I had to change Pip on the road!!!! While I was doing that, DH was worse than useless. I would have been faster if he wasn't there, as he was letting the dogs (we took both) get in the &^&%&^ way. I carried the puppy on the hood of the pram ;) Other than that, all is well. Remembered a box of clothing that someone gave us, stuff they'd grown out of, so we now have heaps of stuff, Pip is growing into!!!!
dream pretty all.

Hi!
Long time no post! (again...)
Still have the house for sale...no buyers yet which is a bit depressing...have decided that we'll most likely look for a house over Narre Warren way...(for those of you that know where that is!) It's a lot cheaper and not that far away anyway...
P/g is going well...I have my scan next week which I'm very excited about. I can't believe how quickly it's all going though! They don't really get into any mischief either which is the best bit!
Kids have been great - I've been a bit tired having late nights which is just silly but they usually don't wake up until around 7.30am and then I put the tv on and go back to sleep for another hour! LOL!!!!
Boys are well! Dylans a little terror although luckily hasn't had any more breath holding occurences. Although, I did have him escape at Cindy's house last week (we were in the carport with them playing) and he nearly ran onto the road...I ran after him and grabbed him just as he reached the footpath and to my horror a bus was coming...if it was just a few seconds further he would have been a goner...so so so so scary!!!!
He's starting to talk a little more now which is cute...he's going through an attention seeking stage at the moment which is weird...he gets more than enough! LOL! So who knows what he'll be like when the new bubs arrives...hopefully it's just a stage he'll get through...
Dylans finally got tooth no.5 just through! My boys are slow with they're teeth! Just as well or I wouldn't have b/fed them for so long! LOL! Louis still has 1 more to go before he's got all his teeth as well...
Hmmm what else...went on Sun with a girlfriend and saw Sex and the city movie - Loved it!!! Was so nice to get out during the day as well and leave the kids with dh! LOL!!!
Took the kids to the park yesterday as it was such a nice day in Melb - they had a ball but it was so much work trying to keep an eye on both of them! Louis is pretty good and doesn't go to far but Dylan just tries to do runners and will climb anything...he's a no fear child...
I'd definitely recommend taking them to a play centre over winter if you don't already! We went a couple of weeks ago and it was sooo good! I locked him in the little under 3 section and it was all padded and everything and he just got to play like crazy and I knew that he was safe. He was climbing steps and going down slides and they had this big firetruck thing that they can climb into and pretend to drive! Sooo cute!
Jen - I know it was ages ago but how's beau's nappy rash?? Sometimes they just get it a bit from funny poo's...I use this great cream called Desitin - it's a zinc cream and it works wonders - it has a higher percentage of zinc that a lot of the other "popular" creams...
Big hugs that selling your house has been such a drama...I hope it all happens soon! I'm with you on drying clothes inbetween viewings - LOL! I keep having to pile them back in the washing machine or in the cupboard to get them out of the way - LOL!
Melissa - Wow at maybe renovating - sounds like a great idea! I would much prefer the stress of renovating overy selling and buying right now! LOL!
How scary having some bleeding - so glad that everythings ok though!
Omg - your poor mil breaking both of her ankles - OUCH!
Yeah at dh getting home - you probably needed a big cry - we all do sometimes! Yeah at feeling little kicks! I'm feeling a few but nothing too big this time around...maybe another quiet baby??? (here's hoping - Louis was pretty quiet and Dylan was super active - funny how that's how they now they're here as well!)
Erin - Yeah on having your parents over and having some time out! Bugger Charlie doesn't sleep at childcare...poor little munchkin. You sound like a supermum doing so well with dh gone so much!
Kel - Hope you're all better now...it sucks being sick and getting no sleep! You're so lucky to have your mum watch Lily so you can have a day to yourself (even if she doesn't know it - LOL) Don't stress about your house being messy - it's more important that you just chill out...
I can't believe you soo don't have much time to go!! So exciting!!
Omg - how on earth did Lily fall out of the cot??
Disgirl - Omg how scary having bleeding - I'm so glad everythings ok though!!! Hope you're getting lots of rest and sleep - it's sooo hard in those early weeks! Oh yes...they're little comedians at this age - especially as they work out what gets a reaction - it is a gorgeous age thats for sure...
Big hugs at Ben being up so late and dh going out for drinks...just understand that everything is harder in 1st tri - especially when you've already got a bubs to look after and can't rest when you want. I completely understand with the not being spontaneous thing...or even just having time out to do as you please as all the dh's seem to be able to do! Try and get some time out for yourself though - even just for half an hour so you don't go to stir crazy!!!
LOL at getting Ben to ask his dad to go to disneyland!! How cute!
Kaz - Congrats on getting your job!! Woohoo!!! Oh no - is pip still biting??? I wonder where they get this stuff from....? It's like the either go through a stage of it or they don't...Yeah at a new puppy! I can't wait until we can get a doggy one day when we move...although it will probably have to be when the new baby's not a baby anymore..although in saying that we'll wait and see how long I hold out! LOL!
Wow thats great you can get him to childcare still asleep! Would make your mornings a lot easier as well!
Ok - on that note I better go and get some stuff done...we've got people looking through the house at 10am tomorrow and need to be out by 8.45 to get to Louis' kinder...better get it tidied tonight or wont' ahve time in the morning...
Chat soon!!

Hi girls,
I'm having a lot of trouble with BB so I don't know if this will work. :(
Things are going okay here. I'm not as sick as I was with Ben and this week marks 9 weeks along - woohoo! Bring on 2nd tri!
Ben's not sleeping well. Every third night or so he has a shocker. Last night was one of those. We were up from 11:30 until 2am. If only I didn't have to go to work, it wouldn't be so bad!
Just a quick note for now, I'll try to pop back in later if this message works :)
-
Hey Kristie- youre back!! Wow Narree Warren, thats just down the road from me...well about 15 minutes. Hope your place sells quickly and that you get the price you want for it. We went to the bank on Friday and although we could borrow loads of money, we have decided that we can survive in our house just for the moment like it is. We just didnt want to over stretch ourselves, with me not working and bubs coming along. Plus we have a pretty comfy life style atm, so no need to be uncomfy. But at least we know that we can borrow more to build up. And the kids will be fine sharing for quite a few more years to come:) And you have your scan next week....are you finding out what youre having this time??
mel-sorry that Ben isnt sleeping. Its so hard when they decide to stay awake for extended periods...just coz. I hope he settles soon for you. Hows the pg going??? 9 weeks already, wow time flies!!
Me, well, am sitting here trying to stay awake coz I end up sleeping for a few hours while Olivia is asleep, then cant sleep at night. Plus I have just finished book work which needed doing last week!! Olivia is doing well. Shes really climbing now. She got off our new bed today, which is alot higher and fell back and bit her tounge. Plus she was scratched by a boy at mothers group!!! Her face is clearing up with antibiotics and canestin, so it must have been a fungal thing. We have worked out that vegimite and tomatoes irritate her eczema...so today she stole another boys sandwich with vegi and needless to say, her face went beetroot!! Not too sure what else to pop on her sandwiches though. I did jam yesterday, might try honey.
My hands getting sore.....gotto stop typing!!!

Hi!
Disgirl - Sorry to hear Ben's not sleeping well...I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight!!
-
Hi girls,
Kaz, yeah, we didn't fit on the lounge very well and I was sooo uncomfy. She was asleep on the side of my belly. Ugh, I don't thing I'll do that again!
Don't you love hand me downs! I do and my friend is going to give me a heap for the new bub, woohoo!!
Kris, hello!! Good to hear from you. Your pg seems to be going really quickly too! How come mine seems to be dragging?? Yay on having your scan, I hope bubs cooperates :)
LOL, I usually manage to get another half an hours snooze on the lounge in the mornings too, when she's happy to do her own thing in the lounge room. I usually wake to a slap in the face, my little charmer!
Eeek, at Dylan escaping. Lucky you caught him in time. It's so hard to tell the its dangerous at thins age huh? Lil's been attention seeking alot too lately, especially for me, I'm hoping that it won't last long and she'll be ok when baby comes.
Yep, I'm feeling better now, though this cough is still hanging on. Very annoying. Yeah mums ok, though she whinges alot about her back aching and Lily being a terror. She gets into her cupboards and destroys stuff, but what do you expect...? She an active, curious 14mth old, that's what they do! I try not to leave her there too much and now I'm not working I won't need to.
Yeah, finally reaching the end of my pg, it feels likeit been forever to me. I am over it already. Me and pg don't mix well, even though I don't have bad pg's. And it's sooo much harder than the first time, with Lily to look after too. I also have excess amniotic fluid and my belly is huge this time, and baby is measuring 2wks bigger according to scans. So needless to say I'm really uncomfy and BIG!
Disgirl, I'm glad to hear you're not feeling so sick. And I sympathise with not having much sleep. I have just woken up from falling asleep on the lounge after Lily went to bed, so I had 2 1/2hrs sleep on the lounge, and I wll still be going to bed soon, I'm yawning my head off just thinking of it!I fll asleep whenever and wherever I can, LOL! My iron is a little low so that could be contributing...I hope he has a wonderful night tonight ;)
Mel, glad to hear that Olivias face is getting better finally. Porr little monkey sounds like she's been in the wars! Lils been climbing too and I'm scared she's going to hurl herself off something onto the tiles...she's got no fear. That's great that you've found some of her triggers for her face. Maybe try cheese spread, mashed banana or avocado.
For us, well I've been tired and I'm over this pregnancy thing! Baby is kicking up a storm inside, he definately kicks harder than Lily did! Other than that, not much else happening, it's been pretty quiet here.
I hope everyone is well and gets a great night's sleep.....in saying that, Lily is stirring and starting to sook....grrr!
-
Hi All,
Been busy doing I am not sure what!
Glad everyone seems to be doing pretty well.
Dis - Thats hard for you that Ben is having a shocker every few nights - do you still think it his teeth worrying him? Glad you are feeling better this PG than last - hope it continues into the 2nd!
Kaz- Thanks for the fruit tips - I wazz up pineapple, orange and mandarin (he just squeezes the segments) into juice for him a lot - but if i give him the peices he turns up his nose! I just realised your ticker thing has how many dogs you have! Derrr!! Cool on the hand me downs - I have a great button shop near me so I rip off the offending patches on them (winnie, thomas etc- i hate that stuff!) and put cool skulls and "b" patches and buttons! So more Beau!
Kris - Glad to hear you and the boys are well, good luck with your scan and the veiwing - Beaus bum is much better thanks, I am still not sure it was the bacon as we shared a bacon and egg roll the other day and he was fine. Who knows? Jealous you saw SATC - I was going on the first day but had to work and havnt got there yet!
Mel - LOL at Olivia stealing lunches! Too funny. I dont blame you guys for not wanting to dig a deeper financial hole for yourselves - if you can cope at the moment - who knows what you will want to do in a few years time? Glad Olivias face is clearing up - great you have identified things that make her execma worse.
Kel - Oh hugs to you and your big belly! LOL! You must be uncomfy with all the extra fluid too - does LIl touch it a lot? I think Beau would be bashing me in the belly he is violent! I guess you are getting internal boy bashings now! I think our mums forget sometimes what we were like for them too - my mum is honest with me and says she couldnt handle looking after a baby now and wants to do her own thing so I respect that too.
Us - beau has been really great the past week - he has woken up twice at 5am and I have given him a bottle and he has slept till 7:30am - dont know if I am creating a rod for my own back there IYKWIM? 5am is just too too early! He is being really cute holding phones up to his ears and chatting, cuddling his teddy bears and if I say "good night" he lays his head down wherever he is which is so gorgeous! i am getting clucky again now - but we have to wait for the house to sell and get settled in the new place - and i need to learn to drive!
Ok better get us dressed x

Hi girls!
Thanks for all the sympathy, I really appreciate it - especially coming from other ladies who have been there/done that with sleepless nights :)
Kris, it's great to hear from you again! What are the age differences going to be with your three kids? Do you feel like you're having another boy? Are you going to find out?
How scary with Dylan running onto the road!!! They're just so quick and adventurous right now.
Mel, glad Liv's face is clearing up. The climbing scares me! Ben was trying to climb onto his activity table at mum's this morning. Lord only knows why - there was nothing out of his reach! One day he's going to crack his head open on the tiles and I"m sure it will hurt my heart more than his head LOL
Hehehe on Liv stealing another kids' sandwich!
Kel, you poor thing!!! I am dreading what it's going to be like when I'm the size of a house with Ben to still look after. That extra fluid must be making things difficult too. If it makes you feel any better, I'm going to be huge in the middle of summer - at least that's ONE discomfort you won't have for this bub :)
I wonder if boys generally kick more than girls? Probably has more to do with a bub's disposition than gender.
Not long to go now Kel - hang in there!
Jen, Ben does the lay-down thing when you say 'good night' too. Sooooo cute!
I wouldn't worry too much about the 5:30 bottle. A bottle is much better than an early wake up IMO!
Getting clucky huh? Another bub - yay! Can totally understand why you would want to get the house situation sorted first though. I wouldn't want to have to move while I was pg. It's too much of a hassle when you're NOT pg!!!!
Us, well I'm not having a good day. I had a migraine last night and I have my migraine hangover today. I've taken too many sick days off lately so decided I'd actually better turn up for five days of work this week (I've only done that two other times since I came back to work on April 1st!!!!). Thankfully my two wonderful boys were great last night. I went straight to bed when I got home at 5:30 last night and DH took charge of Ben; feeding, bathing and bedtime. Ben picked a good night to sleep through too - thank goodness!
Does anybody know of a good way to get the little ones to try new words? Ben is great at communicating - he knows some basic signs and points the rest of the time - but I'm getting a bit tired of his grunting as he points. When you say a word of something that he wants, instead of trying to say it, he nods! It's like he's saying "Yes, very good mum, I DO want the milk!" LOL He says quite a few words, but I'm over the grunting!!!!
Have a good day - it's lovely and sunny up here for a change :)
-
HI all,
Jen, lucky you having a little angel this week, Lily has been a cling on and just whinging at me for ages now. She's driving me crazy! She's going to mums tomorrow so I can clean without a shadow, and do things like clean the bath and shower! Though him waking at 5.30 sucks, at least he's going back to sleep for you now.
Yep, I'm getting pretty uncomfy now, I was just sitting on the floor playing with Lily and my belly is just too big, I'm huge, I couldn't move or lean forward or anything! Yeah, she touches it a fair bit, especially if it's bare, she's fascinated with my belly button, LOL! And if she sees me putting cream on my tummy she comes running to do it too, very cute! She does get rough sometimes, especially at nappy change time and if she's having a tanty, she kicks my belly, and if we're rolling around on the floor she sits on my belly it's just the right height for her little bum, LOL. But I'm not too worried, sometimes bubs kicks back, hehe, but usually it's not too much of a big deal. I'm nowhere near as precious about being gentle with this pg as I was with Lils.
Dis, ugh, I am so glad this bub isn't a summer baby. He'll be born just at the end of winter, so fairly good timeing really. I have been ok with the weather, though I get hot with the heater on inside for Lily! You poor thing with your migrane, how sweet you dh took care of everything though. Mine did lat night too when I fell asleep on the lounge, mind you Lil was already bathed and in bed, but he tidied her toys and sorted out the kitchen etc... He said I was snoring so he knew I must have been tired!
How great is the weather in sydney today??! I'm loving this sun :)
Well so much for a good nights sleep....we were up at 11 until 1 then at 1.20, then 5.00, then 6.30 for the day. I'm so tired, I'm gonna have a nanna nap soon after Lil finishes her mandarine and goes to sleep. I have been productive today though, I've done 3 loads of washing, folded and packed away two that were already on the line, washed up from last night ( ) and I will make some banana muffins soon too...maybe!
Ok gonna put the monster to bed, tah tah!!

Hi!
Had a busy day...took the boys to gymbaroo for a catch up class and then spent the afternoon shopping...They were so good considering...
Poor Dylan tried to climb his ikea shelf thing tonight and fell but as he did his leg got caught in the tub so got stuck really bad - I was so worried to start with that he may have broken it but he seems fine and was running around 10 min later....gosh this boy is going to turn my hair grey! LOL! He seems to be coming out with a new word everyday at the moment and loves to try and sing - very cute!
Kel - Attention seeking is a bugger sometimes...he's going through this stage where he'll hit me and I say no and then he gives me cuddles and kisses...like he thinks he has to hit me first iykwim? Very strange...he's been hitting at Louis too - it really is a very difficult age to discipline though...
I know it's hard to but try and enjoy the time you have left before no.2 arrives...trust me - you'll know busy when you have 2 to run after! LOL!
Bugger you had such a rough night - sounds like you had a nice day though!
Jen - Yeah at getting clucky again!!! I think it happens when they get to an age you really love and it's all cute and you start forgetting all the hard work - LOL!
Disgirl - There is 18m between Louis and Dylan and their will be 19 months between Dylan and then next bubba - so 3y1m between them all! LOL! I'm sure I'll lose whatever brain I have left pretty soon after bubs arrvies - hehehehe. I'm not working really at the moment though and I feel like I have so much more patience with them as I'm not always trying to do something iykwim?
I feel like it will be another boy but not sure - yep - will be finding out definitely - I have my scan booked in for next Wed! Woohoo! I'm so excited!
Yep - I think the whole kicking thing comes down to personality - with Louis he kicked but wasn't overly active and Dylan was very active! Hmmm definitely the same now! LOL!
Bugger abour your migraine - they're so horrible...glad you got a rest though and a good sleep!
With words - I would just read books - like my first words etc and point out all the ones he knows and make sure you say the name of objects all the time. So if you're playing with a ball say it heaps! It eventually will click and they'll remember and suss out how to say it! It really is just persistance with it...
Off to bed in a minute I think...I'm wrecked!
Chat later!

Hey girls, its 730 and Olivia is still asleep:) She did have a little trouble going down last night after having some of daddys ice cream and a tiny bit of my chocolate but she was asleep by 845 and hasnt stirred! Fantastic. I feel great (sorry Kel). I brought some moogoo for her face yesterday, its so lovely and i'll use it for my hands. Shes been clingy too and childcare were going to ring me yesterday coz she wanted to be carried all morning. But she was fine when she got home. I let her fed herself last night, what a mess. Shes getting much better now tho. I am getting a little over the grunting too and am taking some tips from here, although it doesnt work most of the time. At least i got dh to recognise that that means she wants something and hes trying words with her too. She clearly says baby and hello, now for the rest!!!
Today I am cleaning the house...its terrible. I should get going, I am still in bed, dh already made me coffee and got me the lap top. I need to make Olivias food for the day and get her up!!
Hello everyone, hope things are ok
LOve Melissa

hey, I'm new to this forum. My name is Alyce and my son was born 4th April 2007. Would love to chat more with people who have children the same ago. Sorry for intruding on your thread as well. Hope to talk and hear from you all.

Hi!
Melissa - sorry to hear that Olivias going through a clingy stage...I must say that as much as Dylans attention seeking at times luckily he's not clingy! It's such a hard stage! Yeah for her having a good sleep though!
LOL at letting her feed herself! We've been doing it for ages and it does end up everywhere but it's good for them to learn! The only thing Dylan doesn't eat himself now is weetbix and yoghurt...
Alyce - Welcome to BB! You're not intruding at all! The more the merrier! What's your son's name?
Better go get brekky organised!
-
Welcome Alyce! You're not intruding at all.
Kel, I hope you got a better sleep last night. Seriously, it makes a WORLD of difference when you are well rested - as I'm sure we all know.
Kris, your Dylan sounds like quite the little adventurer! He actually sounds a lot like my brother. Mum tells me stories of what he was like as a kid and how our older brother used to have to tackle him and then sit on him so he would run away/onto the road/whereever! He used to hide in clothes racks at shops, climb everything he could find and was generally just a cheeky little bugger. If Dylan is like that, you sure will have your hands full!
Thanks for the tip on reading to him. He is obsessed with books and I've been known to read his favourite books 15 times a day for a week! Drives me nuts! I can actually read his favourite book to him without looking at the words now LOL. Has anybody seen the Todd Parr books? They're his favourite. Reading Makes You Feel Good is his absolute favourite - I know it word for word.
Mel, Ben had a bad reaction after ice-cream too. Just too much on his little tummy I think. Unfortunately though I've discovered he loves chocolate. He's only had it a couple of times, but now I can't even sneak any past him anymore - he seems to be able to smell it or something!
I think Ben tries to say a lot of words but they don't come out right. He does say all our names (g'parents and my sister and BIL as well) and calls their rabbit "Giggi" instead of Jesse so I guess he's trying. I'm just not a patient person! He doesn't seem interested in saying anything like "Milk", "eat', "drink" etc. You know, the words that would actually HELP! LOL
Us - we had a FANTASTIC night last night! Ben slept for 11 hours, meaning I got a wonderful 10 hours, broken only by my loo breaks. I tell ya, I feel like a new woman today :) I keep losing my breath though - I think i got it at this stage with Ben too.
My poor little boy is getting a cold though. He hasn't really had one before now, just the sniffles once, but he's finding it rather amusing. Making lovely (ie GROSS!) noises through his nose. I'm hoping it will be gone by the end of the weekend.
Have a fabulous day everybody :)
-
Welcome Alyce, youre not intruding by any means:)
I have a memory like a sieve, i just read the post and went to reply, now i am finding myself having to go back..just not staying in my brain....
Kristie, i was letting olivia feed herself, but i was getting cranky with the mess...coz I hate mess...actually i hate cleaning it, so i just fed her again. I know she needs to learn how to do it. I do give her loads of finger food, but the stuff in a bowl usually gets tipped upside down and on the floor:( Last nights spaggetti was flung everywhere. I just need to buy a mop that is for quick use. I have an old style one that is a pain coz you have to rig it out and you need an bucket of water ever time. One of those sponge ones should do... I brought the dog in last night to hoover it up, but she had wet muddy feet, so that was no good either!!!
Mel- i know what you mean about books, theres a few I know off by heart. Glad you had a good sleep too:)
Kel- I really really hope that sleep gets better for Lil soon, before this baby is born. She must be tired and cranky, and in turn it makes you tired and cranky. Thankfully you arent working any more. Good to hear you got some washing done!!!! How were the muffins?
Jen- are you clucky???? Yay:)
Hello to everyone else. Oh I have 5 minutes left til i turn off the computer to clean..yuck yuck yuck!
-
Hi!
A few moments peace as I've just put Barney on and Dylans fixated on it! LOL!
You can never have too many books! Hehe - Since I joined Total Learning we have soooo many new books! The boys love it sooo much! There's so many more I'd like to - the best thing is I get them for free!!
Yep - Dylans a handful alright! Although...he's not hypo or anything..just really active! I think I'll have more trouble with him with the new bubba than I had with Louis and him...but I'm sure we'll all survive! At least Louis and Dylan will be able to play while I'm busy whereas Louis had to soley occupy himself...lucky he was the kind of kid that can but I think Dylan will appreciate have a big brother to play with while I'm busy!
Wow - It sounds like Bens doing really well with his words!!! All the kids learn at different stages - by now Louis was communicating sooo much - he had so many words whereas Dylan just has a few - they're all different!
Glad you got a great sleep - hope the cold doesn't take hold!
Mel - LOL Fair enough! Yeah - Dylan often puts his bowl upside down and flicks it on the floor! Have fun cleaning today - I'm holding off until tomorrow - we've got open for inspection at 12pm and I know if I clean now I'll want to do it again in the morning anyway! LOL!
-
Hey,
thanks heaps. I'm glad i'm not intruding. My sons name is Connor...How about all of you? I've also got another little boy who is 1 month old on Sunday.
-
Wow Alyce - you've been busy! LOL! I have Louis who's 2 and Dylan and then I'm expecting in Nov as well! Hehe!
Where are you from?
-
Awww Alyce a little little one too! What's Connors' little brother's name?
