Livvy didnt like the Zantac either..... but seems to like the cherrie taste of the panadol....she'll suck it out of the dropper:) But she will squirm with the gripe water...mine has ethanol 4.5% in it... isnt that alcohol based? sorry for such a dumb question.... i know that was the issue about using it:)

Hi everyone,
Well we're very quiet in here today! (And yesterday...) Everyone must be sleeping in, LOL- I know that's probably not true...hehehe. It's definately not true in my little home anyway. Lily had a very unsettled night and day for that matter.
I left her with daddy yesterday for the first time and went shopping for about four hours. She didn't sleep properly all day, only having cat naps, even when I got home. (Daddy's not good at settling her or putting her to sleep, unless she falls asleep on him and then he falls asleep too!) and after little sleep all day, she didn't go to bed until 9:30 which is kind of late for her! Then she was up at 10:30 for 1 1/2hrs, then at 3:00 for 1 1/2 hrs, then at 5:00 for 2hrs then at 6:30. So needless to say (after being used to relatively good sleep!) I'm buggered. DH has taken her for a walk in the babybjorn now, so I get a bit of time for myself. I might take her to mums later and try to get some sleep there!
It was good to get out of the house for a few hours yesterday, without Lily. It's the first time I've been anywhere without her. I missed her and by the time I got home it was like I had a craving for her, LOL! Daddy struggled a bit with her I think, it was his first time looking after her, but he will have to get used to her. I asked him to give her a bath, but when I got home, she was still in the same clothes...the first thing he said to me was 'she hasn't slept, here do you want a cuddle'! And handed her over, I had to laugh. At least now he has some understanding of how it feels to have her on you, even if it was just a few hours for him.
Oh well guys, I have nothing more to tell you really. I hope everyone is doing well. Have a lovely Sunday.
Kellie :)

Hi!
Dinner was great last night - was glad everyone was gone by about 10pm though! LOL!
Dylans going well - a little unsettled here and there but really no dramas at all. He's getting soooo big! He's playing with his playgym and smiling heaps - It's starting to get so much more fun!
Danni - Yeah will be great! I know - especially the big drive from this side of the city - hopefully our bubbas will let us sleep!
Melissa - Sorry I don't know what it tastes like - LOL! I haven't tried. But Dylan has the infacol and doesn't make a fuss so I assume it's not tooo bad!
Kellie - I was sleeping in! LOL! Dh let me have an extra couple of hours sleep this morning - woohoo! Now he's napping on the couch so it all balances out!
it is always great to get out of the house on your own. It can be great to "miss" your bubba and you're fresh to deal with them again...Bugger at her being unsettled....I hope she sleeps well for you tonight!
OK - better go - Chat later!

Hi
Interesting story Caro. Am glad things are going well for you now. Good luck.
Olivia is 8 weeks today....OMG how time flies. That means we are off for vacinations this week (if shes well enough) I think I will cry, but am going to be brave:)
Shes playing with her toys, touching them, reponding to us, smiling at us when we see her in her bed, trying to have a chuckle. I cant believe how quickly shes growing and changing. We're still trying to get over this dreaded bug, lets hope the diarrhea settles soon, then we can have our happy healthy baby back. At least shes stopped throwing up:)
Well I hope you are all well, take care
Love Melissa

Hi everyone,
Just a quick one today - it's freezing out here in the "boys room" where the computer is and my milk has just let down and I am sensing someone will be waking up soon for some dinner!!
Glad to hear you are all well - Caro - great news re your link above. Very interesting read too. Happy for you!
KV - glad you had some nice dinners out and have managed a sleep in too!
JenSam - great to hear from you and that all is ok with Beau. Don't you hate it when people say how tired you look!
Mel - good luck with vaccinations. hope Olivia doesn't get too upset - or you for that matter!
Kel - good on you for getting out of the house for a break. You do crave them though don't you! it's a weird feeling - when I get like that I just want to hold them and not let go!
Danni - Mimi is good out and about too in the pram - nice sleeper! Glad Mason is the same.
Me - all much the same here. HUGE day yesterday with 2 kids parties then FIL's birthday at night. By 6pm Ella had had it. Totally exhausted and too much sugar at the parties. I am pretty strict with her food at home so when she gets to a party she has all those naughty things and her nappy pays for it that night LOL but she slept like a log for 14 hours last night! Thankfully, Mimi was great and did her long stretch from 7pm til 2am and not up til 7am so we had a nice block of sleep. Hope tonight is the same as it's back to Monday tomorrow by myself with DH at work and it's always that little bit harder without the help around the house.....
Anyway ladies - have a lovely Sunday night and catch you all later

Good Morning Gals, and hope you all had a Fab weekend!
Gigi- sounds like you had a mad one, at least you have a holiday to look forward to! I ADORE Noosa, I lived there for a couple of years way back when I was a youngster. Lucky you with Mimi sleeping for that lovely long stretch, heaven.
Danni- glad to hear Mason is sleeping well, it makes a huge difference to your mental health doesn't it?!
Kristie- Glad you had a great night out, LOL at the wine! DH bought some Moet which we drank with friends last weekend and I felt positively giddy after a glass. Guess it makes us cheap dates! jealous of your massage.....
Melissa- I have given Hazel some gripe water for particularly bad wind and basically she hated it and spat it all out, so I devised a sneaky way of doing it, putting the syringe in the corner of her mouth while feeding her and gently squeezing it through. Worked a treat and I don't think she realised she was having it! Hope she's better soon.
Kellie-sorry to hear you had a bad night. Seems like just when you think you're getting it all sorted out *BAM* they throw you a curve ball! LOL at your DH, mine is the same, but getting better. IKWYM about craving her, DH has to stop me from going in and getting Hazel out of her bed to cuddle her now that she's sleeping from 7pm!
Caro- WOW what an amazing journey! Glad it's all worked out for you and Michael in the end. That chemist sounds like a magician!
Jen- Good to hear from you and sorry you had a rough day but I think it's inevitable that we'll all get them. Keep on smiling, they're SO worth it aren't they!
Us- had a lovely weekend, mostly catching up with family and SHOPPING for me and bubs! Hazel is getting to be so much more alert and aware of what is going on around her. If someone else is cuddling her and she hears my voice she strains to look around and find me, adorable! It's childish but I LOVE that she love's me best, what an amazing feeling!
Must go, my treasure is stirring and I want to jump in the shower and wash this mud mask off my face. Have a great day one and all!

HI everyone,
Well we had a better night last night thank goodness! And Lily's sleeping now, even though we were up at 5:45! She seems to have bad wind too, I have been giving her gripe water and it seems to help. She hates it though and spits it out, you should see her face when she tastes it...priceless! Hehehe (how nasty of me to laugh :) )
Kristie, you're a lucky girl getting a sleep in, your DH sounds like a good catch!! LOL. Mine doesn't have that kind of radar, he can't see when I need help from him or a break. Last night, I was going to put her to bed (which I told him) and asked him if Lil had a wet nappy (meaning check and change it...) and he said 'I don't know' and went on playing with her. I ended up getting p*$$ed off at him and took her away and did it myself. He said 'what? I can't read your mind tell me what you want"!!!! I thought it was pretty obvious... Anyway, vent over!
Jensam, I don't know about infacol, but you can use the brauers wind stuff from birth. I've used it and it seems to work for Lil. Glad to hear your little man is doing well. Bugger that he's so unsettled, I know the feeling...I'm sure we all do!
Caro, I am so happy for you that life is getting easier for you guys! It is such a relief when you have a happy bubba isn't it? You've had it hard for a while. That new medicine sounds like a miracle ;)
Melissa, I hope that Olivia gets better soon, she's been a sick bunny for a while now... It's nice to hear them trying to talk and laugh isn't it? My girlfriend came over the other day and has a 6mth old. His chuckle is the best sound ever! It makes me laugh and smile every time.
Gigi, lucky you having only one wake up. Lily is such a pig and is still feeding every 3- 3 1/2 hrs. Even having mostly formula! I thought she'd be a bit more content on the formula because it is heavier, but no....she's such a guts and is getting chubby!
Christy, I know about those curve balls, LOL. Lil is a bit unpredictable at the moment and we are still getting to know each other. She seems to be more unsettled if I'm not around. Daddy really winds her up too. Even just hearing his voice does it to her. I have to tell him not to talk to her if I'm trying to settle her! And it's not childish about her loving you best, I feel the same! It's nice to know that you're the most important person in the world to someone, regardless of what you look like or what you do!
Ok going to do some house work, OH JOY!!! LOL!
Kel.

Hi!
We had a great night last night! Dylan went 7h then 4h between feeds! Yeah! Having a good day as well - house is clean, washings done (well drying) a pot of soup on the stove and the big one - I'm showered! LOL! Both the babies are sleeping (not sure for how much longer though!) I love it when you don't feel like having a sleep through the day and you can just chill out instead!
I can't believe how big Dylans getting - he seriously looks like he's about to grow out of the 000 bonds wondersuits - can that be possible??? He fits into all his other 000 clothes fine...Louis wasn't even into 000 yet when he was this age! LOL!
Melissa - Good luck with immunisations! I know it's amazing how fast the times gone! Just check with the dr as they may not do it if she's still sick...
Gigi - Wow - sounds like you had a huge weekend! It's so nice to have a quiet day after all the running around! I'm the same with Louis' diet...Luckily he prefers fruit etc over junk but I'm sure that will change before long!
Christy - You're not such a cheap date if your drinking Moet! LOL! Ooh a mud mask - I really must do that soon - and I'm dying for a nice relaxing bath (although it's covered with stickers of bananas in pyjamas and new mcdonalds farm - LOL)
Kellie - Trust me - as much as dh is great he can be just as clueless as well. I really do spell it all out for him as he's just the same as your dh! I definitely ask for my sleep ins and any help that I need and finally I've learnt to ask super early to give him the 30min he needs to get organised to actually do it - LOL!
Glad the gripe water seems to be helping...Dylan likes the taste of the infacol or perhaps he hasn't clued on yet - LOL!
Danni - Good luck at your appt! Dylans got a shower radar - whenever I jump in he wakes up!
-
yay kristie! Our boys seem in sync atm! Last night Mason went 7 hours and then 5 hours without a feed....but back to 3 hourly during the day again.
a bath and a mud mask sounds devine!
Mason is now officially into 0000s! He still wears about 5 different outfits in 00000s but thats it!
