Hi all,
Danni, thanks for letting me know about your bf! It makes me feel better to know how much the tabs have helped other people. And gives me the strength to ask the dr for a more permanent arrangement for it.
Kristie, I can't wait till Lily can go to Wiggles and stuff so I can go too, hehehe, I love Wiggles and things like that to dance to, LOL. Must have been scary loosing Louis, eeeekkkk! At least the other mums watch out for all the kids! I know I do when I'm out, watch other peoples kids....
Yay that Dylans sleeping better. At least you can resettle him, Lily will have no part in going back to sleep in the day time, she just gets upset and screams so it's not really worth the effort I don't think! I've tried getting through the tears, but it just gets worse and worse...
Erin, hello!! Lucky you with Charlie's day sleeping and the time he goes to bed...I wish my DH and I had some good quality time together.... Usually by the time Lily goes down, I cook and I get the washing up done, try to do a load of washing, have a shower and eat it's time for me to go to bed too! I don't get much time in the day time to do house work with Lily sleeping so little in the daytime.
Disgirl, hasn't the weather been delightful around here the past few days!! I have been walking every day because it's too nice to be inside, especially after weeks of such dreary weather.
Yay at Ben rolling! Lily is nowhere near rolling I think she's too chubby!! LOL... She doesn't like tummy time and we have to do three or four small tummytimes a day so I don't think she gets enough time to roll...
Don't you hate it when you do all of the hard work and hand bubba over and they go to sleep in a second?! Lily does it all the time to me. I htink it's because I get so drained and tense and she feels it, then when she goes to DH he's relaxed and she goes off easily. That's what I tell myself anyway, hehehe...
We've been doing pretty well with day sleeps, still only 40ish mins and no more but more often than before ;) . At night Lily sleeps well so I can't complain. She usually goes down between 8-10ish and will sleep about 6hrs (7 if I'm lucky, 5 if I'm not!!) then another 4 or 5 then maybe if I'm REALLY lucky we get another 2hrs,but only if she's sleeping with me. She's always up by 8am.
Lil has well and truely found her hands and sucks on them like they're gonna fall off!! It's funny cause she sucks so loud, that's how I know she's awake in the day time because I can hear her sucking her hands, LOL. She gets all slobbrey, all over her face and when I kiss her I get a good dose of Lily slime!
Time for a feed, must go...
Kellie :)

Hi

The first 12 weeks were i nightmare james would not sleep....EVER.... and i was exhausted i had so many breakdowns that i thought i was the worse mum in the world...had also failed sleep school so was really feeling down.... a visit to the paed and he recommended donnalix for colic and i have a new boy on my hands who now sleeps all night and usually has good naps during the day...today however is a different story...
look forward to chatting somemore i think my boy is huingry better go and feed..feels like that is all i do the last week:rolleyes:

Hi Disgirl, I joined recently. Charlie was born on April 16, he's almost 12weeks - I can't believe how fast that's gone.
Kellie I do feel lucky with his night bed time as I enjoy the quality time with DH, it was a bit nuts before - one would rock whilst the other ate & vice versa:) I'd scoff it too so we'd get a minute or two to chat before both going to bed knackered. We like to go to bed early too as DH is up & at it by 4.30am ready for a 12hr shift...ouch! I'm sure soon we will all have totally different bubs again, they change each day.
Charlie found his hands the day he was born, the midwife said he would have discovered them on the inside LOL, he sucked so hard the day he was born he got the biggest blister on his hand, it looked terrible & showed up in all the first time photos. Though I'm told it's better they suck their hands than a dummy, as they can always find their hands. (not a bad point). He's not rolling or reaching out for toys yet, but he can move himself forward when having tummy time, wiggles along, bit like a snake (if that makes sense). His new thing at the moment is lying on the floor & lifting his legs up, he loves that - which is great for me as he used to just want to be held all day.
Hello Von, welcome.

Welcome Von, am glad things are settling down for you.
Not alot to report here, although Olivia is doing well on her tummy. Hopefully she will be able to roll soon after her harness comes off.
Went shopping today coz I was sick of feeling like a fatty boomba! I cant fit into any of my jeans and have been wearing trackies for the last 3 months. I went to Target and got jeans coz we are going to a birthday on Saturday and am over wearing maternity jeans to go out. I dont know what exercise to do..its a bit cold and wet for walking and I get board of aerobics dvd, so maybe I might invest in a walker, not sure. Would love to go back swimming, so must look into how much the crache is at the pool.
Better go cook. take care
Love Melissa

Hi everyone. Been absent for a little while, busy busy with family stuff mostly.
We had THE best night last night , Hazel went down at 7.30, slept til 2, fed for 20 mins then straight back down til 6am!! Fingers crossed we get a repeat performance tonight and it wasn't just a one off.
Von, welcome to the April buddies thread!
Melissa- I know your post was a while back now but I am going with the infant led way of thinking too. I feed Hazel to sleep at night and it's a beautiful calm way for both of us to end the day. Luckily she will go down awake through the night though and seems to know the difference between day and night. I've just got Pinky Mckays 'Parenting By Heart' out of the library and have 'Sleeping Like A Baby' and ' Wonder Weeks' ordered too. Whenever I start to doubt what I'm doing I just jump online and read through the threads on bellybelly and it reassures me that I'm ok doing what I'm doing!!
Everyone sounds really happy and well at the mo, guess we are settling into new and second time around parenthood and our bubbas are settling down too (well, most of the time!)
-
Hi!
Had a good day out shopping - laybyed a 4 wheeler for Louis! and bought them both some winter clothes!
Danni - Hope Mason settled for you...
Disgirl - I just like the kids to be in bed as close to 7pm as I can so I can have some time out - both with dh and just for myself! I think I'll start a dream feed though and then hopefully I'll get some decent sleep. Sorry to hear you had a rough night - the rolling is great. I probably haven't put Dylan on his tummy enough - he's so grizzly when I do though...he's holding his head up quite well though so thats ok. He's such a sicky boy though that I don't like putting him on his tummy too much.
Kel - Sounds like she's sleeping well at night - thats great! Isn't it funny how they really go at their fists!!! Dylans very noisy as well!
Von - Hi and welcome!! Congrats on your little boy - Sorry to hear you've had such a rough time but I'm glad that it's getting better for you!!!
Erin - Wow at finding his mouth so early! It is nice when they can start to occupy themselves for a bit. Dylans much better at it that Louis was, but I suppose he hasn't had much of a choise as I have to do things with Louis while he's awake and often gets plonked here and there! hehe.
Melissa - Good for you going out and getting some new clothes!!! I must say I'm still the most comfy in trackies but I have a couple of pairs of jeans that fit ok...just hate the muffin top that comes with them - LOL! I haven't been to the gym for the last couple of weeks but must start again on Monday! Swimming sounds good...I don't think the pools around me have creches - that sounds like such a good idea! I wouldn't need a gym membership if I had a treadmill but we have no space...although I must say I do like doing the classes - I push myself harder in the classes...
Christy - You sound like you're going great! Yeah for such a good night!!
Chat to you all later! Sweet dreams!
-
Thanks for the warm welcomes.....I feel so bad now I still havent done a lot of tummy time, when I think about it I havent done any all week:( James seems to hate tummy time he will jus scream he has good head control though. I find it so hard cause as soon as I put him down on his tummy he just screams and Natasha comes along and trys to pick him up. Any ideas how to get him eot have tummy time and enjoy it.
James has been up since 12 I have tried everything to get him to sleep even put him in the car and dorve to kmart to get a lat minute bday pressie for tash but he still didnt sleep. He is in his cot at the moment grizzling so fingers crossed he will fall asleep soon.
minimatron-I am still in my maternity clothes feeling like a fatty boomba i am thinking of investing in a cross trainer to help loos the fat but as usual as dh pointed out I will get sick of it and it will end up outside gathering dust:D
Erin_25-That is so cute about Charlie and his hands, James has just discovered his hands and they never seem to be out of his mouth
christyb-I am hoping that Hazel sleeps well for you again tonight it is so refreshing to actually get a decent nights sleep
Krisvee-I just got back from shopping and I wish I had only brought a few things instead I think I brought one of everything in kmart  dh is going to kill me when he gets the credit card statement
Ok well James is sleeping so I am off to blow up some baloons for Natasha's party
-
Hi!
Von - Bugger that James didn't sleep all day! Glad he's sleeping now though - Wow I hope Natasha has a wonderful b'day!! The only thing I would suggest about tummy time is to maybe put him on your chest so he's looking at you iykwim?? I wouldn't stress too much about it though...
-
Hi!
We had a great night!!! Dylan fed fairly early around 1.30am but then slept in until 7.30am! It makes such a difference when he just sleeps through and doesn't wake every hour for something!! So I feel refreshed - thinking I should have gone to bed earlier than 11pm though! LOL.
Caro - Yeah on getting tickets though! They sell out so quickly! Wow on going 4 years in a row. That sounds great having box tickets for the fairies!! I'm thinking I'm also going to invest in those wrist bands with my name and number on them for Louis' wrist for the wiggles just in case!!!
-
We had great night too. We went out so Charlie didn't get put to bed til 7.30pm & we got him through to 4am with only one dummy replacement!!!!! then up at 7am, he's always up at that time regardless of when he went to bed.
However he woke up a sick little boy:( There has been a horrible bug going around town, and since we go out a lot with other kids it's unavoidable. He only managed 70ml in his bottle & I could tell his throat is really sore as he had trouble even crying......poor thing. Well he's back in bed now, hopefully he get's better soon.
Wiggles, girls that sounds like fun. I can't wait to start doing all that cool stuff with Charlie.

Hi Ladies,
Glad everyone seems to be going so well...we are good here too...went and checked out the daycare and left in floods of tears! It was like a little prison for bubbas - there is NO way he is going in there - isn't it strange how your feelings change so much when they arrive? I could never go back to work quite easily...
I posted some photos under JenSam in the new photo gallery - I would love for you guys to check out my main man!
Ok roast chicken is ready gotta run!
-
Hi!
Woohoo - Dylans having a big arvo sleep - probably won't go to sleep tonight now!!! LOL!
Erin - Yeah on Charlie sleeping so well - sorry to hear he's sick though -hope he gets better quickly!!
JenSam - I was never a fan of the daycare centres either...Hope you find one you like!! Definitley is easy not going back to work - I hated it. I'm so glad I'm not working now - I hope I don't have to go back now until the kiddies are at school! Will definitely check out your piccies...Enjoy your dinner!
Dinner's ready here as well - Veggie lasagne!!
-
Hi.
Have had a lovely, lazy, DVD watching weekend here. Had some lovley night sleeps but still not playing ball with the daytime sleeps
Jen- what a beautiful little boy! Hope you find a great day care centre, I don't envy you. So glad you are well!!
Erin- I hope Charlie is feeling better soon, it must be so hard to see him unwell poor little man.
Kristie- hope Dylan isn't up all evening!
I have put a couple of pics in the members gallery too under Hazel if you want to check out my treasure
-
hey guys...we went away to the country for the weekend and Mason was on his best behaviour! I love the fact that we can just take off somewhere and he fits in with us and sleeps anywhere.
He slept all day in the car on the way home, and was asleep again at 7pm. He is now in bed and I PRAY he sleeps all night.
Bought a GPS system today and Dh is rapt! He is a courier so is really looking forward to stopping reading the street directory.
Hope everyone has a great night
-
Hi!
JenSam - For some reason I can't find your piccies...I'm probably just blind..LOL!
Christy - Saw your photo's - She's just beautiful! Glad you had a nice weekend...well I woke Dylan up for a bath and feed and now he's back asleep so cross fingers!!
Danni - Glad you had a great weekend!!! Soudns great!
I've also just put up a few photos!
Chat tomorrow!

Hi everyone, Charlie seems to be better. Though we went to a BBQ on Friday night & someone from the BBQ rang today to let us know there little girl woke up with CHICKEN POX, ahhhhhhh. So we are now on the lookout for that. I really hope he doesn't catch them:pray:
We had another 9hour stretch last night, so here's to hoping things are looking up. He's not so cranky when he wakes at night & I've found the dummy works rather than jumping in with a bottle. Charlie is 12wks tomorrow, yay. I hear that's a turning point for all babies....wonder whats around the corner.
I too have posted some pics, didn't know you could til I read your posts. So I will take a look at all the cuties.
Everyone have a good night & good to hear you all had good weekends.

Hi!
Erin - I so hope he doesn't get them either - that would be awful!!
We had a shocker of a night really...I was up and down between the two of them at least 10 times I think...grr. At about 5am I brought Dylan in with me and stretched him until just before 7 for a feed (after feeding at 1.40am)
I suppose I shouldn't complain he fed before that at 6.45pm!
Off to the gym this morning...can't be bothered but I better...then my niece and nephew are coming for a sleepover - it will certainly be a mad house!!! They're 8 and 10 though so not so hard to look after!!
Chat later!
-
Good Morning. Great sleeps here last night. 7 til 2 then a quick top up at 5.30 whenDH got up for work then down again til 7.30. Yummy sleep!
Kris- Thanks!! I think so too, but I'm probably biased! boo on your bad night but well done for going to the gym. I'm skipping it this morning as I have to get organised to go to the coast to see my Grandparents. Will try to go a few times later in the week though and will try and go one evening too and leave DH to the bath and bedtime routine!! Enjoy your mad evening.
Erin- I'm glad Charlie is feeling better and I really hope he doesn't come down with chicken pox. Will go and check out his pics!
Danni- sounds like you had a great time. We should make the most of their "portability" while it lasts before they develop little minds of their own and need their set routines. I love GPS. There was one in my work car in England and they make life sooo easy!
Happy Monday to you all!! It's funny, despite not working I kind of still get mondayitis, probably because DH has to go back to work!
-
Hi ladies,
We've had a lovely lazy weekend. DH has been home and I have been enjoying some me time- baths, cleaning without worrying about Lil (not me time, but still...), sleepins... I stayed at mums on Friday night and Lily was a devil. She sisn't go to sleep til 11, then woke at 1, 3, 5 and 7. I was sooo tired, she's never been so bad! We were at mums to watch the soccer last night (but didn't sleep there, came home at 11) and she was the same, so I think it is that she's not at home. She must be a homebody!! Last night she went to sleep at 11, slept til 3, up again at 6 then again at 8.30, so she was better, but still not back to her usual routine, I'm hoping it hasn't changed... :(
I will have to check out everyone piccies...I love having an insight to your lives, hehehe. I will try to add some myself, though I am not very computer literate, so I might need DH's help, LOL.
Jensam, sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the childcare centre. When you find the right one you will know. How have you gone with the family day care? Maybe that would be easier for you to leave Beau? I know jow hard it is I picked up waiting lists on Friday for some places. I've worked at these places and know the people who work there and it's still going to be so hard.
Kristie, Too bad about Dylan's sleep, hope he's good for you today. I managed to get a three hour sleep out of Lil yesterday arvo, woohooo!! I think because she slept so badly at mums. Maybe that's why she woke 3 times last night....didn't think of that, LOL.
Lucky you if you can stay at home with the boys and not work, I wish I could unfortunately it will not be possible :(
Good on you for going to the gym! I was going really well with my long walks, but it has been raining here for a few days' so now I can't go... It felt good to be doing something and Lily loves walking, she's such a stickybeak!
Erin, glad to hear Charlie is better, hope he doesn't get chickenpox. Lucky you with his sleeps, I'm jealous. We've never gotten more than 7hrs from Lily, but still I'm not complaining!
Christy, LOL at Mondayitis! I forget what day it is half the time, hehehe. My DH works different days every week so I can't keep track!
Ok gonna go, have a lovley day! ;)
-
Hi!
Well...I'm not good at all as I didn't go to the gym...called Mum and cancelled because I feel quite sick...Have felt a bit nauseous the last few days...had some spotting this morning...thought af was arriving but now I'm not sure...thought I'd feel better after some brekky but only just starting to feel a bit better now...
I'm a bit scared I may be p/g again!!! Omg that sounds so scary. God know what I would do with 3 under 2 1/2!!!!!
Anyway...just thinking out loud - I'm sure af with turn up or all these symptoms are just in my head....
-
i get mondayitis too...i get upset that DH leaves us to go back to work :(
Oh kristie: i hope youre not preg! Unless you want to be????
-
Hi!
Danni - I'm in two minds...of course I would love another baby but wasn't thinking to have one so close...I'm going to put it out of my mind until I test now...
-
Oh Kristie... good luck, hopefully AF will come, if thats what you want.
Well I'm waiting for AF:( yucky cramps, bloating, oh the joys!
Olivia went abit hay wire with sleep over the past few days, but seems to have settled last night. Shes in her cot now giggling away at the little birdies going around on the front of her projector!
Not alot more to report. Looks like its going to be a nice day here in Melbourne, so am planning on going for a walk:)
Take care
Love Melissa
-
Hi!
Melissa - Dylan slept well last night! I really think he just needs to have naps through the day because everytime I've managed for him to have a big day sleep he's woken a lot more through the night!!
So foggy here this morning at the moment but a walk sounds like a nice idea later!!
Yep - af arrived this morning!! Phew! LOL! I just haven't had this for sooo long!! (Jan 05!) I forget how it can play tricks on your body!
-
I had bad "period pain" on Saturday so maybe its my time too :(
-
What a relief Kristie!
I was going for a walk coz when I woke up the sky was pink....just went out for a drive, its so foggy and cold. Will have to skip the walk:(
Must be AF time....this is my second since Olivia was born. Went back on the pill just after she was 6 weeks old. This time last year, Olivia was conceived (around Adams birthday)...we havecome along way since then and life certainly has changed. Am loving it:)
-
Wow at you guys getting it so early! I didn't get one at all after Louis and I conceived Dylan when he was 9 months old!!!
They certainly change your lives these bubbas!! Being a mum is certainly the most rewarding thing I've ever done. They are just sooo beautiful. It's so nice when they get a bit older as well - Louis is my little buddy! It's so gorgeous.
I'm so in love with my boys!!! The love for your children is stronger than any other you'll ever have I reckon!!
-
Howdy.
Kris- what a relief! If it happened to me I would be delighted but it wouldn't be ideal.... still absolutely no sign of AF thank goodness, and hopefully won't come for many more months.
Well my Grandparents treated us to the all-you-can-eat breakfast at the casino this morning and boy did I get my moneys worth!! I ate sooooo much and honestly I could have kept on going if I hadn't felt like such a glutton. I will try to be really, really good for the rest of the week and go to the gym 3-4 times......
Hope all is well for Mamas and Bubbas x
-
Hi!
Christy - Sounds fantastic!!! Ooh I would eat heaps as well - my appetites huge at the moment! No wonder I'm not losing any weight! LOL!
It's very quiet in here at the moment!
Not much from me...Don't know if I said but Dylans in 00's now! They're quite big on him but he looks cute in his bonds trackies!! Umm...We have our mchn visit on Thursday which I'm so excited about - can't wait to see how much he's grown in the last 4 weeks! I think he's getting huge!!! He just loves sitting and standing rather than lying down flat!! His wind seems to be settling down heaps now...
Tomorrow I'm going to try him in the cot for his day sleeps and see how we go...I guess the boys just have to learn to share a room but it will be so hard with them at this age and waking so often! (and early in the morning...) He's so grown out of the bassinette though that I have to do it! Wish me luck!!!
-
Boy, it really has been quiet in here today.
Kris- Hazel is almost in to OO's too. I think maybe a week more for her all in one suits and that will be it. Am going to weigh her tommorow (the Health Clinic is under my Gym) and I'll bet she's over 5 kilos now the little chubster!!
-
Hi!
Yeah! It's so cute now they're getting a little chubby! hehe. I hopped on the scales with Dylan so it's not very accurate but I think he's around 6kg now!!!
-
Hi all,
Well we have had another pretty quiet day. Just went to mums, DH helped move furniture for her. That's it. Nothing too exciting...
Lily is in 00's now too, she's getting so chubby. She has rolls everywhere! I put some photos in the gallery the other day and there is one of her with DH just out of the bath she has fat rolls all over...so cute, hehehe. The only time fat rolls are cute ;) .
We moved the furniture in the lounge room around yesterday, what's that saying.... something about a change and holidays....well it's not true, LOL. But my lounge room does seem to have more space now. I can even fit a toy box in here one day.
Anyway gotta go, going to have a hot bath tonight!! Hmmm....
-
my MCHn cancelled our appt today and rescheduled for tom. I cant wait to weigh my little pork chop too!
i think we are almost in 00 bonds suits! but still 000 clothes are just fitting. still very loose. i think he is thin? We dont have any rolls here :(
been very unsettled today. we both had a cry this arvo. but thank god he was in bed early at 8...lets see how long he lasts!
-
omg!!! mason just slept 12 hours from 8to8 with no interruption...i cant believe it
-
-
OMG Danni, that's great news! Yep I'm very jeleous too!! If you think you've done something different that's helped please tell.
We are going backwards, I thought they were supposed to settle down around the 12week mark. DH went back to work, night shift & Charlie forgot how to sleep - up every 2hrs & back to 2feeds at night. He's still very constipated & nothing seems to be working, think I make take the next step & change his formula.
Hi to everyone, hope all bubs are doing well.

Morning!
Danni- I'm very jealous too. We had been going great guns with pretty much only one wake up and feed between 7pm and 5.30am but last night went back to two.....hopefully will go back to the other way tonight, soon.....good luck at the hc
Erin- sorry to hear things are going backwards- is it a wonder week? I will have a look on the chart melissa emailed us. Fingers crossed it's a short phase! Saw your pics and Charlie is adorable!!
Kellie- LOL at fat rolls being cute! It's true though, I was looking at Hazel's double chin this morning thinking the same thing- only bubs can carry it off and still look gorgeous!
What are your pics under in the gallery?
I am going to the gym now, it's bubacise class, to try and sort out my rolls and flabby bits......think it will take some time. Am trying to eat well but I know I can't really *diet* as such incase my milk dries up....but I guess I could cut out the biccies and cakes...well maybe just two biccies with an afternoon coffee would be ok?!? XX
-
Hi!
Kellie - Glad you had a good day - hope you enjoyed your bath!! LOL on the fat rolls!
Danni - Wow thats amazing - I bet you feel fantastic!!! He's obviously getting all the milk he needs then!! Hope he keeps it up for you!
Erin - Big hugs!! You poor thing...OOh I hope you can fix the constipation poor little monkey..I wonder if thats why he's waking???
Christy - Have fun at the gym! After the ladies on chat last night talked about choccy I was so craving some...but we didn't have any...anyway when I woke up this morning dh had a bounty bar on the bench with a note saying "I love you" (he'd been out last night and got home after I went to bed) Awwwww - Needless to say it's gone down very well for morning tea - LOL!!! I'm so bad at the moment!!! hehehe.
Dylan slept well last night and he's having his naps in his cot today no problems!! Woohoo!
-
Christy thanks, do you think you could send me that chart? (hedutschke@bigopond.com)
That would be great if possible, i've heard about it would love to take a look.
Kristie, yeah I think that could be the cause of him waking too. Think I might just bite the bullet & change his formula.
well got to go, about ready to go out & Charlie just spewed all over me.:(
I'm having trouble letting go of biscuits & cake, I eat like I am still pregnant LOL....it doesn't help that my mums group meets more than once a week!! we are always having coffee, I'm heading off now to meet up with them & we just met yesterday. Oh well, I love it.
Geat to hear Dylan is having naps no problems.
-
Hi!
Erin - Don't you just love that! LOL...always when you're about to walk out the door as wel!...
Caro - How are you and Michael going?? How long is he awake between naps now?? Hope you're well!
Forgot to add - Dylan half rolled over this mornign - from tummy to back!! Woohoo...I helped him a little but he basically did it on his own - LOL!
