Hi.
Had a lovely time at the gym and Hazel was so good- really just lay there checking out the toddlers and only had a grizzle at the end! I weighed her and she is 4.9kg. She did a massive poo and wee on the change table just befor I weighed her so I bet if I'd gottten her on the scales BEFORE she would have been over 5kg LOL!!
Kris- what a lovely thing for your DH to do! Little things like that make up for when they behave like *men* !
Erin- no probs will email that to you in a mo. I can't wait til my mother's group starts but it's not til mid August :( Hopefully they will be as nice as yours must be!
Caro- hope all is well and that getting your move organised is more exciting than stressful.
-
caro: no prob with msn... or you can email me
mason is 59cm long, and 5.7kg! he is now average :)
-
wow, Charlie must be a big boofa - had him weighed two weeks ago & he was 5.9Kg!! he's my little fatty:) We are well into the 00 clothes.
Christy, thanks for that chart - yep he's having a stormy week, why oh why on night shift week!!!!!!! ahhhhh!!!! getting out to Mum's group is a great release as they all want to cuddle him - Charliei s the youngest as i've joined a group with a lot of older kids due to knowing someone in the group when I moved up here. It's great as we are so so far from anything else we get together very regularly during the week, I'm out Tues, Thurs & Fri LOL......not to mention the extra days when we decide to just catch up. I love it they are all really friendly & it helps when you don't have family support.
Yay to Dylan for rolling....can't wait til Charlie starts doing stuff like that. He's just started laughing rather than little giggles - that's kind of cool.
When I get a few minutes I'll check out the pics of all your bubs. Hope you all have a better day/night than mine:) Danni I hope mason has a reapeat performance for you tonight.

Hi!
Christy - Glad you had fun at the gym! Yeah on the weight gain!
Danni - Yeah at Masons growth as well!
Erin - We're hitting a stormy patch as wel...he's definitely wanting more attention at the moment and won't let me leave him for 5min! LOL! The giggles are great! I nearly got one yesterday but he still just likes smiling...
Caro - Bugger about the headaches! Yeah on Michael growing big!! hehe.
Ooh I can't wait to get Dylan weighed and measured tomorrow!!!
-
wahhhhh :crying: 2nd day in a row of a screaming MONSTER mason. He is just exhausted though. He slept for 4 hours this arvo...and is in bed again now. He actually put himself to sleep in his basinette for the first time ever clever boy!
hope he sleeps well again tonight as we have a big day tomorrow.
I am worried about not feeding him overnight as i am scared my milk supply with dwindle. oh im so sick of worrying about my damn milk!!
caro: thanks anyway about the costume..i think we found one on ebay. re: the other thing...im pretty sure its when he is exhausted rather than anything else. ill be in touch
-
Hi!
Big hugs Danni - It's just a growth spurt for them I'm sure! Doesn't make it much easier for us though...Wow at 4h sleep today - I wouldn't know what to do with myself!! 40min is his limit most of the time...grrr.
Sweet dreams everyone!
-
Goodmornign ladies,
We have been busy for the past few days, doing shopping helping my mum with her reno's, cleaning and visiting friends. It's been good to be out of the house.
DH did our tax the other night and we should get back a fair bit, I'm very excited it might mean that I can stay home for the year...wooohoooo!!
We went on a date last night, just to dinner and the movies. It was very strange to leave Lily for so long! She stayed at mums so it's not like she was somewhere different, but still....I missed her so much, and was happy to hear she was good for her nanny! But she still wouldn't sleep there, hehehe...
I think Lil's probably up to 6kg's now, she was 4.8 and that was 4 weeks ago, and she's definately getting bigger, she's a little chubby bubby! I'll have to get her weighed.
Erin, I hear you about the night shifts. Lily does it too. She always plays up whenever DH is at work or (especially) on night shifts. Never when he's home, little monkey! LOL.
Christy, my photos are under 'kellieem'. I had a look at your photos, Hazel is so lovely, I love the black and white photo (the one in your ticker).
Good on you for going to the gym. I might be able to get another membership now too, when we get our tax. I will have to stop eating cr@p too, I have one good day then three bad ones!
Kristie, That's great the Dylan had good sleeps in his cot. I have been thinking of putting Lily in her cot too, but I just can't do it yet. She's still so little!! I'm too attached, hehehehe.
Yay that Dylan rolled. Lily is too lazy to roll, I've been trying to get her to do it but she just laughs at me...she's a cheeky thing.
Caro, thanks, I think Lily's pretty cute too, hehehe. Sorry to hear you've been having headaches. I used to get migranes once or twice a month, but since being pg I haven't had any at all (knock on wood!!). Hope you feel better soon.
Danni, I'm sick of worrying about my milk too. Though I woke up this morning with huge wet patches of milk on my jammies. I thought that it would be safe not to sleep in a bra since I'm usually dry, but not last night. I nearly drowned Lily when I fed her....that's the first time for ages! :).
Ok thats it for me.
Have a lovely day girlies.
Kellie.
-
Hi!
Just got back from Dylans mchn checkup!
He weights 5.95kg and is 60.5cm long!!! He's just getting so big!!
Kel - Yeah for going on a date!! thats fantastic!! Michael and I really need to do that soon...Dylan has his last feed aroun 6-8pm so we could easily do it now...
Thats great news on your tax as well! I hope we get some money back...we should get a little bit...hopefully enough to renovate out bathroom and paint the house - LOL!
Chat later!
-
Good afternoon!
Kris- yay on Dylan's weight gain!
Danni- hope Mason is settling down- I would KILL for a four hour day sleep though!
Kellie- Lily is absolutley beautiful! Yay about your tax- fingers crossed it means you can put off going back to work, it must be soooo hard for the Mums that have to leave theor bubba's when they're really tiny but I guess some people don't have much choice. I feel so, so lucky that I can stay home with my girl and have a profession that will allow me to take her with me. I've really noticed how much more expensive it is to live in Australia compared to what it was like 7 years ago when I left.
Caro- I hope your headaches sort themselves out. I had some killer ones during my early pregnancy and it must be hard to deal with them when you've got two little ones to look after :hugs:
Erin- no problems! Had another look at it myself and I've got a week's grace til the 12 week storm! I've got the book on order at the library and it will be interesting to read more about it.
Well, we had a bit of a shocker of a night last night. Up at 11.45 then 2.15 and then she just wouldn't resettle in her cot. Would go down sound asleep but then be awake and calling out five minutes later. I don't think it was wind. Anyway after three tries I just gave up and brought her in to bed and had lovely sleep with snuggly lying down booby til 8.45. Mmmmm........ where have my 7 hour sleeps gone? Guess it's a new phase or maybe she's started her 12 week stormy patch a week early?
Went to the gym again this morning- really had to FORCE myself though - and did a boxing/trampoline class. OMG am I unfit! Hopefully it will get easier though and I did feel great afterwards, knackered though. Think I will go and curl up with Hazel when she stirs which will be soon I think as she still won't stay down for more than 40 minutes through the day.
Hope everyone is having a great day x x
-
Hi!
Christy - Yeah at getting to the gym! I've been really slack lately...must get myself going for next weel! LOL - can't get started on a Friday! hehehe.
Bugger you had a tough night - it really is the best thing to just bring them into bed - at least you both get some sleep that way!!
-
Hi again,
Kristie, we should get a fair bit back because due to DH studying last yr and not earning enough as well as me studying and not working enough. We are just at the threshold not to pay hecs and too much tax, so we earn the most we could and paid as little tax as we could, wooohoo! I thought we'd be just over the threshold and have to pay heaps. I'm so glad that I will be able to stay home til the end of the year!!!
Christy, yep, she's pretty cute, huh...but I am biased, hehehe. I can't help but gush when people say she's cute, I want to shout it from the rooftops,LOL!!
Sorry to hear you've had a tough night. We've had a few nights with extra wake ups too, and late nights- going down after 10.30. She still has 40 min sleeps in the day too, very occaisionally she'll sleep for an hour or two, but thats not often :( .
I went to get another script for motilium today and had a good chat to my dr about it. I told her how important it is for me to bf Lily and she must have realised how serious I was because she gave me a script foer enough tabs for at least a month, FINALLY!!! Lily has had 3 full bf's today, with about 100mls of formula, so I think the longer I'm on the motilium, the more milk I make the more consistent my supply is, I feel so much better about bf her now.
My princess is calling gotta go.
-
Yay Kellie!! Well done for sticking to your guns and getting the result you wanted. And Yay on staying home til the end of the year you must be so, so pleased! I know what you mean about shouting it from the rooftops- I'm so proud too. I also want to take her back when we have visitors and they are having cuddles! She's just so yummy!
Well, off to the Health Clinic for a parents talk on growth and development- not sure how much I'll learn that I haven't already read but it might be interesting x oh and seem to be back to 2 feeds in the night again, down at 7pm up at 12.40 and again at 3.40- better than the night before though
-
Hi!
Kellie - Well done for perserving - you're doing an amazing job!!
Caro - Good on you for being such a support to people!! I'm sure they really appreciate it!
Christy - Prob just a growth spurt Christy - I'm sure she'll settle down again soon...I was still feeding Louis 2 x through the night at this stage...Hope you get something out of the talk...
Well, Dylans going well...another good night of sleep which is nice - especially since I didn't get to sleep until 11pm! He's very hard to settle at night - we constantly go in and have to cuddle him or just give him a pat but once he's past that he sleeps really well...I'm sure that's just because he's overtired by the end of the day with all those naps and no decent sleep as such...
Another quiet day today...SIL is coming around this arvo which will be nice - she's only got 12 days to go before her little man is meant to arrrive - I hope he comes a bit early - I'm getting impatient - LOL! Dylans going to seem like a giant compared!
-
Hi everyone, remember me. Charlie has been pretty grizzly for the past couple of days, havn't had a chance to do anything but cuddle him. 12week storm!! We have changed formula, will see how that goes - last night was a better nights sleep.
Good to hear you are all going well & babies too.
Kellie, well done - I'm glad that has worked for you.
Good on those of you who make it to the gym too. I haven't joined yet, not sure about leaving Chalie with someone I don't know for an hour.......will have to give it a shot soon though, the constant coffee's & biscuits aren't going to walk themselves off LOL.
Well I'm going to go & try & finish the first coffee in 3days!!!

HI girls,
Caro, thankyou for the support!! No bf hasn't been easy for usit's not fair really :) But we have toughed it out and done our best. I am eating oats everyday but the blessed thistle is a bit pricey for me at the mo. We're doing ok without it.....
Actually thanks everyone for the support, motherhood is a tough job and only other mothers would understand, hehehe!!
Christy, did you learn anything fron your chat? Hope Hazel is better for you tonight.
Kristie, It usually take 2 or 3 tries for us to get Lily down for the night too. She can look like she's dead to the world but 10mins later she's awake and ready for a party...grrr!
How exciting that you're going to have a naw neice or nephew. That will be nice for Dylan and Louis to have them so close in age. My neice and nephew are 7 and 4 and though they absolutely adore Lil, they're a bit too old for her to play with when she gets bigger, iykwim? My dh has nephews (my nephews too, hehehe) who are closer in age, but they're in Qld, so a bit too far to play with as much as I would love to go there to play, LOL.
Erin Sorry to hear you've had a difficult few days, it must be his 3mth storm! Hope the formula change works for you, Lily is on Karicare HA/AR and whe seems to be ok on it. Though she is half bf too, so I don't know what it's like on its own. Hope you enjoyed your coffee...
Well,Lily has been asleep for the better part of 3 1/2 hours!!! I don't know what has gotten into her. I went out to do some errands this morning and DH said she had fallen asleep just after I left. She woke for about an hour then went back down for ages, she's just stirring now, so I have to go, bye!!
-
Hi All,
Just a quick ne from me, am supposed to be surfing the net lookig at what I will cook up with this blue grenadiere (sp?). Adam wants some pasta, but am not sure if I want pasta with yummy fish...oh decisions!!!
Olivia had a crap sleep last night and is now sleeping in my bed. I tried to lay down with her but the phone kept ringing, so I am up. I have a headache (AF) and a sore back from bathing Olivia last night on the bassinette stand. Wont be doing that again! Its so cold here, I cant wait til spring.
I went shopping and got myself a fitness dvd coz i couldnt decide what to do. Will see how that goes. I have about 10kgs to loose and want to loose that by Christmas (hopefully start coming off the pill then, iykwim!!!).
Well better go and cook. Take care
Love Melissa

Hi Everyone,
Most of you know me. I did introduce myself about 2 months ago. Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I read the posts everyday but havent been posting.
All you April Mummies are doing a great job. It is hard work but it is all worth it.
Jake is going well. Of course we have our good days and our bad.
Well better go and get organised. Just wanted to say hello and I think about my belly buddies all the time.
Cheers, Linda
-
Hi!
Erin - Sorry Charlie's having the grizzles - hopefully he's over it soon! Hope the new formula makes a difference!
Kel - Yeah Dylan took a few goes again tonight...actually I'm not really complaining because with Louis we had to rock him to sleep - it always took so long for him to get to sleep for each nap/night sleep...he had to be in a deep sleep before we could even put him down whereas Dylan I just put down when he's tired and he goes to sleep! woohoo!
Yeah I'm really excited about them having a baby - we know they're having a little boy as well so hopefully they will all be the best of buddies! I also have a niece and nephew who are 8 and 10 who play with Louis and dote on Dylan but I can see in a few years time they won't really want to do that I suppose!
Yeah on Lily's big sleep! Dylans slept a lot better today as well - he had 2 lots of 1 1/2 hours - OMG! and 2 naps as well! I hope he sleeps ok tonight...I mean he woke at each 45min interval but resettled without being picked up! woohoo!
Melissa - Hope you decided what to cook!! Bugger you had a rough night - hope you get some sleep tonight! Yeah on getting a dvd - I'm sure you'll achieve your weight loss!! It certainly will be annoying to be carrying this weight when summer comes around - In winter it doesn't matter so much!! I prob have around 5-6kg to lose...The fish and chips for dinner tonight won't be helping - LOL!
Linda - HI!!! So good to hear from you!!! Glad you're going well! Hope you can pop in and join our conversations more often!!
Chat later!
-
yay kellie great news!
great news on dylans growth too! our milk is the best :D
Well we got 10hours of straight sleep last night thank goodness. And today mason had another 4 hour sleep and then an hour sleep. this side sleeping is REALLY workng!
Gtg to bed now...had a huge day. good night everyone
-
Hi!
Danni - Wow sounds like your getting some greta sleep there! I'm very jealous! hehe. Although I really can't complain...I'm pretty sure Dylans going through a growth spurt at the moment - he's feeding 3 hourly through the day and drains all my milk in 5 minutes!!!
Chat later!
-
Danni great to hear the long sleeps are still happening. Some bubs really do love it on their side.
Kristie, sounds like a growth spurt. Charlie did the same around that time.
Well we had another bad night here, up 4 or 5 times. It's so draining whilst DH is on night shift.....oh I am soooooooo tired.:(
I would like to lose about 5kgs by next week!!! LOL we are heading to Perth (can't wait to see some bright lights), will be doing heaps of shopping - will even be getting Christmas presents, how's that for organised.
Hope you are all getting more sleep than me.

yeah we are still doing 3 hourly feeds during the day..and then heaps of feeds in a row at night time just before bed.
Tonight we are going to the footy and Mum is watching Mason. Im nervous. She has had him for a couple of hours during the day before, but I have been aroiund the corner. Tonight I will be 60km away! And we will be gone for about 6 or 7 hours. Im gunna miss him like crazy but this is the one game we go to EVERY year.
Hey Erin, we are coming to perth in 4 weeks. shame you are so far from there! I got my xmas shopping done at the toys r us sale a few weeks ago. it really is a great idea and saves so much time for later on hey!
-
Hi.
We had a great night, 7-2 then 6, hooray! Seems like we just had a slight deviation.
Enjoyed the talk yesterday, very informative and met two really nice ladies, one who lives literally just around the corner, so very worth while. There's another one next week on settling and sleeping which I'll go to with an open mind but I'll take it with a grain of salt if they start pushing strict routines and try to tell me I shouldn't feed Hazel to sleep lol!
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend with happy bubbas who sleep well x x
-
Danni- I cluster feed before Hazel goes to sleep for the night too, it's like she's tanking up. Hopefully will strtch slowly out from 7 hours as her tummy grows!
-
Hi everyone,
We have been out today to see my grandma and aunty. They absolutely doted over Lily!! Hehehe, she's the first bub for a few years. They were so surprised at how big she's grown since they last saw her. That's my piggy Lil!!
Caro, I have been to several health food shops and the blessed thistle is always between $20-45. It is just getting so expensive for me to feed Lily with paying for the motilium, buying formula and getting the oats and aktivite every week. It ends up being about $150 a month (ironically with the formula being the most expensive part!). So to add the extra $20 a fortnight (to) a month (or so) it's just getting to be too much, since we're trying so hard for me to be able to stay home for as long as I can. My DH is even questioning why I'm sticking with the motilium since I am bottle feeding her too, so I don't think he'd be happy with adding more of an expense. It doesn't seem much, but it is adding up soo much.
Melissa, bathing is a killer here too. I have to bath Lily in the big bath now and my stomach and back kill because my muscles are so weak from being pg. But there's no other option, I'm not brave enough to shower with her yet, she's too wriggly and slippery, hehehe.
Linda, good to hear from you! I'm glad to hear you and Jake are going well. I hope you can join us more often!
Kristie, that's great that Dylan is sleeping better. Lily had a great few sleeps yesterday, but was soo unsettled when she was awake. She just cried and cried, I think she was possessed for the arvo/night! Even when I was holding her and pacing, which is usually a sure fire way to settle her. I think I walked miles!
(And Erin, my DH is on night shift too....always on night shift!)
Danni, you are one lucky mumma with all these beautiful sleeps! I wish Lily would realise that sleep is good! :)
Erin, have fun in Perth, and shopping. I should think about trying to get some stuff this year. I think it will be a tight chrissy for us this yr :(
Happy Saturday ladies,
Kellie.
-
Hey Danni, I read you were heading to Perth in the WA thread. Would have been great if our trip was a little later I could have caught up with everyone. There's something else on in Perth in July but it's the day we head home so will miss that too. :(
Kellie it will be a tight Chrissy here too, lucky for us the trip to Perth is at the expense of DH work or we wouldn't even be able to get there. We went back to SA for the birth of Charlie & stayed 6wks.....that's where all our savings went.
Anyone got any idea's what you're bubbies are getting for their first Christmas. I don't want to get Charlie much as he will be spoilt from the family & won't really know what's going on. But want to get him one special thing as it's his first Chrissy. I'm thinking Train Set.
Christy I feed Charlie to sleep most nights, I don't intend to do it - but when he has his last top up feed he's always knackered & it just happens. But hey, works for me too!!!:) Charlie always gets a top up feed before bed, it's either that or a dream feed. I prefer the top up feed, since I've realised he can get through 9hrs without needing a bottle I don't want to risk waking him up or upsetting him.
Melissa & Kellie, Charlie is in the big bath now too. I didn't realise baby baths came in all different sizes & I didn't buy a very big one. I'm the same as you Kellie, my back hasn't been the same since having Charlie. My Birthing position didn't help either....so leaning into the big bath isn't helping. Can't wait til he gains proper head control & he can sit up in the bath with a bath aid & play with toys...much more fun for both of us.
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Hi!
I've had a pretty good day today. Dylan decided to sleep for just over 2 hours this morning and wasn't up long at all before he wanted to go back to sleep - for 1 1/2!! After saying he was feeding 3 hourly he went 4 1/2 hours after his first am feed today! So he only fed 4 times and then he was a bit unsettled at bedtime so I gave him a quick top up so we'll see how we go tonight! I finally got to take Louis out food shopping with me - it just hasn't worked out timing wise for ages so it was nice to go out just the two of us!! We wandered into kmart and he was so funny running from one thing to another so excited!! (I already can't wait for xmas as I think he'll be really excited this year)
Erin - Sorry to hear you've been up heaps! Hopefully he settles down soon. Yeah on a big trip to Perth!! I'm sure you'll have a ball!!
Umm for xmas Dylans getting (so far) stackem cups, building blocks, ball popper, toddler puppy xylophone thing, a wiggle pop up ten and a peek and pop giraffe! We already have other toys like a kick and whirl carnival and lots of balls and cars etc from Louis! I'm trying to think of things Louis really loved - Oh a ball pit thing - they're only like $10-15 and they get heaps out of them...one of those little foam couches are really handy in the lounge room...Some sort of bike or walker is a good idea as well - just a kiddie one they can get behind - Louis was walking behind those around 9 months old!! Just a few ideas...Books! By then they should be getting into some - especially just books with pictures of items or animals etc...It might be out of the budget but leap pads are great! Louis has the baby one and he loves it!! ok I'm getting carried away now.....
Often I'm feeding to sleep as well for the final feed - and sometimes during the day as well depending on how we're going...as long as they learn to get to sleep on they're own as well sometimes I don't see a problem..I'm not a feed of dream feeding - never worked with Louis and doesn't seem to work with Dylan either...
Danni - Hope you enjoy your night out and Mason behaves!! LOL!
Christy - Yeah for a great night - thats similar to what Dylan sleeps...although I stretch him in the morning until around 7 7-30 cos I don't want to get up! LOL! Glad you enjoyed the talk - Hope you can get something out of the one next week as well!
Kel - Have you seen those terry towelling bath things?? I got one from $15 or so at David Jones and it's really good. It just sits in the bath and they lie on it on an angle so you don't have to use your hands to support them. They can just kick around in there and you just have to watch they don't slide down!
One good thing this year is that the kids don't understand chrissy and they're just as excited with the paper - LOL!!
OK - it's turned into an epic - we're off to the snow tomorrow (only a local mountain - nothing special) so Louis can see it for the first time! We're dropping Dylan off with my sister though as it will be way to cold for him!
Chat tomorrow!
-
hey guys, Footy was great but cold. And the bombers lost!! :crying: I missed my baby soooo much but he basically slept the whole time with my Mum! We picked him up at 11:30pm and he slept til 8:20am. Dh has gone to get bacon and eggs for breaky :D
I picked up a beema q with a basinette off ebay for $150 and its only 6 months old! Going to pick that up today as a spare, cant wait.
Kellie: I know what you mean about the expense of feeding our little piggies. I was spending $$$ on motillium, fenugreek, aktavite and oats too and its just siuch an expensive exercise isnt it? Keep going though, you are doing so well!
For Xmas, I bought Mason a fisher price learning table, some smaller fisher price toys and the chicken dance elmo. I need to get something else from Santa too...not sure yet!
My sister is buying him a kids fold out couch and mum will get him one of those big walkers. You know the BIG car ones? hehe cant wait to see him driving up and down the hall way :cryinglaugh:
-
Hi All,
Sounds like we are all doing well. As for me, after about 4 days of crying over little things and everything that Adam said to me, coz I was so tired and run down, and after organising my mum to have Olivia today for the whole day so I could sleep and catch up on house work. Well, guess what? She fell asleep at midnight, after a very grizzly day, and woke up at 8am for a feed which usually takes up to 45minutes but was gone in less than 10 and fell back asleep. She is just stirring and its 11am. OMG. I got up at 10am. I feel good, still very emotional though...cant work out why. But have packed the car ready to go after her feed. Now I will be able to come home clean up and relax and maybe sleep:) I hope this isnt just a flash in the pan...otherwise my sanity is going to go out the window!!!
Got to run, my moo moo is awake:)
Love to you all
Melissa
-
Kristie, wow sounds like you've got lots for Christams, well done. The ball pit thing you were talking about, where do you get them from? Sounds like a great idea. Think I will get Charlie a swing too.
Danni that big car will be soooo cute. Spoke to my brother last night, he's also Charlie's godfather, says he's going to get him a motorbike.....that could be interesting. Boys & their toys LOL.
Melissa you are not the only one who has been crying for the past few days over nothing....me too. Another bad night with Charlie & DH is still on night shift - tonights the last night - can't wait for it to be over. I've come to the conclusion he's not feeding enough during the day as he's now on thickened formula & won't go up a teat size. So he's tired before he gets enough to drink, that's why he's waking every hour!!! ahhhhhh. That's my theory anyway, today we are going to encourage the bigger teat, I hope it works:pray:
Better go, hope you get another good night Melissa. Bye all.

Thanks Erin.
I honestly dont know whats wrong with me. I dropped off Olivia at mums and came home and had a sleep. I just want to cry. And I am crying about what people say to me. I rang up my mum to see if everything was ok and she asked me to speak up, so I started crying again. AF has finished, so I'm not sure what it can be. GRRRR. Hopefully brighter days will come soon, I hate feeling miserable like this.
-
Hi!
Had a great day!! We all headed up to the snow but dropped Dylan off at my sisters...less than 2 hours later I had a text message saying to come and get him cos he's crying! My sisters such a worrywart - she's got 2 kids 8 and 10 and she just freaks out if a baby cries...anyway picked him up and he was fine! Had a big sleep once we got home and basically woke up had a bath and some booby and has gone back to sleep!
Danni - Glad you had fun and Mason went well!
Melissa - Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time...Big hugs! Hope you had a good day today though!
Just read your last post - you poor thing...Don't know if it's a help but are you taking any multivitamins?? I've run out in the last week and definitley notice a difference...Otherwise just get as much sleep as you can...! If you don't feel better soon maybe you should head to the dr and make sure it's not post natal - the earlier you get on top of it the better if thats the case...I've heard anti-depressants can take a couple of months to actually kick in...Hope it's not though and it's just your hormones playing around with you! Big big hugs - make sure you look after yourself!!
Erin - I got mine from the kmart sale last year - only $10!! Not sure if they had them this year - I'm sure they would have though. I'm also going to toys r us next week to try and pick up some more balls - they have them 100 for $12!! A very cheap toy but lots of fun!
LOl ont he motorbike - Louis and Dylan have been promised them from they're Opa as well! For xmas Louis is getting a "cars" 4 wheeler motorbike! Just a little 6 volt battery thing - he's going to have so much fun though!!
Sorry you haven't been feeling great either - geez having no sleep is really a killer and can make anyone emotional! Hope you sort out the feeding issues...
Chat tomorrow!

Hi
Think I just had a big hormonal week. Feel great today after a miserable few days. Just with lack of sleep, AF, I think I needed a good cry. I did that last night on Adams shoulder, then had a few glasses of port with the roast pork he cooked and I think I will be ok. I havent taken multivitamins since I was pregnant. Will start them again. I dont think I am depressed, but was thinking of going to have a chat with the gp anyway.
Thaks for listening
Melissa

Mason decided he didnt want to go to bed last night! he went down at 8. Woke at 9 which is so unlike him, and wouldnt go back down til 10:30. I tried everything but he just wanted to play. I was so exhausted :(

HI everyone,
Sorry to hear some of you have had a hard few days...I have too. It's definately the night shift thing for me too Erin!! My DH is on night shift too and it is so tiring to have noone to help at all. My DH works tonight and then he has a few days off, thank goodness, I'm getting fragile these days too. And I think Lily is going through her 12 wk storm, I've had a rough few nights, getting up 3-5 times!! I hope she settles soon, I'm buggered!
Erin, our savings keep on dwindling because little unexpected things keep on happening like having to fix the car, buy new tires, etc...it sucks, I hate money. Hopefully our tax will give us a break from money woes....
I have no idea what I will get Lily for chrissy...she's going to be spoilt too, so I am lucky I wont have to get much.
Kristie, glad to hear you're having good days! Lucky you :) . Sounds like you've brought up a storm for the boys for chrissy, how do you have enough space for it all? I'm struggling already in our place.
Yep I have seen the bath thingys but I just haven't brought one. Lily will probably be sitting by the time I get to it.
Sounds like you had a fun time( if short!) at the snow. I'd love to go back to the snow, I was 16 the last time I went, it was sooo much fun!
Danni, thanks for the support! It has been tough but I'll keep on keeping on...hopefully next time bf will be more successful.
Melissa, glad to hear youre feeling better. Our hormones are still raging aren't they? On top of still trying to figure out our little ones, it's not a good combination sometimes! Have you had your iron levels checked since having Olivia? Maybe that's what the problem is...
:) Kel.
Danni and Caro, you posted after me! OMG Caro, I'd be falling asleep at every opportunity. Lily is usually in bed by 8ish, but never any later than 10!

Hey there everyone, well we had a great night last night. I made sure I encouraged the new teat yesterday & he drank lots more....then he slept from 7pm - 2am & i just put his dummy back in & he didn't wake up til 4.30 for a feed....I feel soooooo much better.
Danni 10pm that's a pain, hope you were watching something good on telly. I can't say I've had that trouble with Charlie since he was about 5weeks old, he's out like a light every night around 7pm if not earlier, unless we are out as he's more alert now he doesn't sleep in the pram like he used to. Yesterday I had to wake him @ 5.30 so i'd get him back to sleep that night & he was in bed before 7 again - I'm very thankful for that routine he's set himself, I love being able to watch some telly before bed & DH & I get to have dinner together (when he's home).
Melissa good to hear you feel great today....must be the start of a new & better week. Yay on the roast pork, I've had a few tears too but didn't get a roast. Might have to have words with DH about that LOL.
Kel those unexpected things are killer aren't they. I thought I had set a good budget for our trip to Perth but DH tells me we need new tyres too!!! ahhhh, as we are driving to Perth & it's over 10hrs away we don't want to risk going with the old ones....good bye new shoes:( I've sorted out Charlies Chrissy presents, only getting a couple things from us - the VTECH walkers are on sale, they look really good. Oh yeah & one of those ball things if I can find one, they sound like heaps of fun. Speaking of unexpected expenses, Charlie got 2 Birthday party invites in the mail today - that will be the 4th party in less than a month!!!!! getting very expensive. And he's only 12weeks, but it's such a close knit community up here you get invited to everything.
Caro I feel the same, very blessed when Charlie sleeps up to 7 or 9 hours. He's been doing at least 7hrs since he was about 8wks old.
Kristie getting to the snow, that sounds like fun. Shame you didn't spend too long there.
Ok. better go & watch greys anatomy, had to tape it as I went to bed really early expecting to be up all night.:)

G'day all :D
Sorry I haven't been in for a while, its just been hectic here. Trying to settle Patrick into his cot, all was going well just then until his dad started sanding in the room next door!
The mothers' group with our MCHN is going well, and it seems most of the mums there are cluster feeding before the long sleeps too. Today the kids' librarian visited and read out a book to the babies, and I was amazed at Pip's reaction! He was really excited by it all! So tomorrow we're going to try to get to the baby reading session and then join him up as a member, and borrow some books & cd's for him - they also have sheet music there for the piano which will be handy.
Hopefully now he's in his cot behind me, I can put him up here to sleep and get on the puter for a bit longer!
Ciao, dream pretty and stay safe everyone.

Hi!
Had a good day today! Finally made it back to the gym which was good. Dylans having quite good day sleeps now and is still sleeping all night. Although last night he wanted 2 feeds - grrr! hehe. He's really grabbing at his toys now and for the first time he woke up after his sleep having a little chat and play to himself! It's so nice when they do that and don't just wake with a cry...
Melissa - So glad you're feeling a bit better!! Thats great news!!
Danni - Sorry to hear Mason kept you up!! They're good at changing things around all the time!! Dylans easier to get to sleep than Louis at the moment!! grrrr.
Caro - Bugger about the late bedtimes. Glad you get a big sleep after that though! Hope you feel better soon!
Kel - Sorry to hear you've had a bit of a rough time as well. Hope you get a rest in over the next few days.
I'm in such big trouble for buying so much...we really can't afford it either but I get sucked in by the lay bys! I've just gone through all of the boys toys and put them into 14 bags that I rotate each day so that he plays with all of them. So I'll do the same with chrissy toys...rotate them around so they all get played with! We've only got small space as well so its easier to keep them all packed away and just bring out a bag at a time - less to clean at the end of the day as well!
Erin - Yeah!! Glad the new teat worked for you and you got some extra sleep! Wow at all of those b'day parties!!! Bugger at having to get new tyres!
Kaz - Hi!!! Good to hear from you!!! I'm glad everythings going well. Hope to hear from you more!
Better clean the kitchen! Chat later!
-
bugger cleaning the kitchen kristie! mine can stay upside down ;)
I have a migraine. Mason has been very unsettled today...even screaming while he is asleep. I am sure he has a tummy problem.
ok im going to cuddle with dh..mason is finally asleep
