no - not pg again here LOL
OMG - girls I feel soooooo bad for not being in here for sooooo long!!! I haven't stepped into BB thread for Miss S either. :(
Things are going ok here. Miss J has been going through a MAJOR growth spurt. I just don't have enough food in the cupboard to keep her satisfied ATM. She has been great with Miss S. Lots of kisses and cuddles and tries to pick her up out of the bouncer/off the floor ;o
Still at DC 1 day a week which is great because she drives me nuts by then. She is a LO that needs CONSTANT stimulation. I can't just sit her in front of the tv. It last all of 15mins maybe then she wants to be doing something better. Makes it hard trying to feed and read books and do craft all at the same time
Starting to say HEAPS more now and words that we can actually understand which is great.
Miss S settling well. Growing so much! I can't believe shes 7 wks old today!!!!!
We;ve moved into the new house and it's GREAT! I LOVE it!!! I'm just now trying to catch up on washing as well as unpacking and keeping the girls sorted. Been challenging but hey... gotta do it.
Organised Miss S naming day and Miss J's b'day (combined). I had no problems writing Miss J's naming day ceremony - Miss S on the other hand...doing my head in!!!!!!!
Glad to see everyones pg's are going well. and Congrats to those who are pregnant that I've missed in other threads! :happyforyou:
Hope everyone is well. xxx
Hi!
So great to hear from everyone!
Niamh, yeah, feeling a bit isolated form people. DH is a cop though and in reality, we are only a few houses down from the police station and I have met the people he works with and their families, but it's still not the same as having friends and family there to help, kwim? In Sydney, our family was literally a 5min drive down the street and I also had friends really close by too. Just feeling really out of my comfort zone!
Liam has weaned too, about 2ish weeks ago now. Though he asked for boo today, but I managed to distract him from thinking about it. It's the first time I have actually refused him. He was fine, but I felt a bit guilty! But weaning was his choice. I didn't actively encourage it at all, except for today, but he hadn't had anything since about Monday. I suspect my milk supply had dwindled a bit since being pg!
Milly, things weren't too bad this time having DH away. Even though he was away for 5 days, I think I was more mentally prepared this time, kwim? Though by yesterday (when he got home) I was counting the minute til he walked in the door! I'm just not a person who copes well at the moment without his support. I think I'd be a terrible single mum! I truely don't know how single parents do it.
Re all the pg's, I was just thinking of all of the announcements on BB in the past week! There have been heaps of them!
Jen, glad to hear things seem to be settling a little bit. It's tough to go from one to two kids. I'm thinking (hoping!) that going from 2-3 will be easier. Just because the first two will have each other to be with as well as me. Plus they will be older (Lil was only 16mths old when Liam was born). It won't be the first child alone, then the second one, does that make sense?! I struggled with the time factor when I had Liam and Lily was still so little and I was bfing him every 2-3hours for months! Plus they both didn't sleep so great (they still don't!) so I was depressed as well as sleep deprived....there were some pretty ugly times there for a while for me. I don't remember alot of the first three months or so to be truthful, it's makes me really sad to admit that though. I remember sooo much of when Lily was tiny so vividly and with Liam it's all such a blur. But it couldn't be helped, that's just the way it was.
We are going great. The kids are well and love our new house. They love the space and the yard and we are into a routine now too. They like playgroup and really love having me and DH around alot more. Ok, gotta go and do the bedtime thing.
Great to hear everyone is well :) Hi to anyone I missed!
Hello girls,
Just a little :bump: to see how everyone is going!
Can you believe our babies are nearly 2??!! Not so much babies anymore huh?! Liam will be 2 in just under a week....such a bitter sweet thing these birthdays are! Liam is growing so quickly, he's such a little joker and makes me laugh out loud daily. He's lucky he's so cute or I would just be cranky with him all the itme with him getting into all the mischif he can find. Just this morning he got his foot good and stuck in the crate we put out fire wood in....I was making them breaky and all I could hear was his gorgeous little voice calling, 'OW, stuck mum....mum, foot stuck, look!' And sure enough his foot was stuck, took me a while to get it out, I was almost ready to panic and call DH! LOL, little bugger makes my life a little bit exciting!
We are going back to Sydney next week to, for Liams birthday partly, and mine which is 10 days later (eeekk, I'm getting old!) And just to visit family and friends. I have been struggling some days with the isolation and lonliness. It's getting easier though, we go to playgroup and I am making friends with other mums here too, but it's still tough for me. I'm making an effort to be happier and do stuff though. I am also putting the kids into childcare for one day so I have that day for myself, or to be with DH alone. And then when baby comes I will have a day to catch up on house work or sleep.
Ok, that's about it, I hope everyone is well! And if I miss them, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our kidlets!
Yay Kel! Nice :bump:
I couldnt have discribed Tom and better than you have liam....Do you think that could have been universal twins? It must be that time of the year. Tom is the light of my life. So cheeky and clever. The worlds are coming on think and fast and so are the Mr2 struggles hehe.
My Evie girl is 4 next monday too! Where does the time go! She has started kindy so i have a 2 days with Tom a week. Pity im a bit tired at the moment to be too full on but its nice. He does walk around the house calling for the girls! I think they are a little more fun than i am hehe.
Baby smidge is doing well and its the big scan next wednesday and then the world will know. Cant wait for the girls to know. How exciting!
LOL, twins indeed!! Little monkeys :) As you say, they are the light of our lives. He is just so different from Lily, who is more serious and sober. He is just so fun and sees the lighter side of life...liek his daddy does I guess. He's such a pleasure, even though he's such a monkey. Liam is lost without Lily too. He adore her so much, and is her little lap dog. If she demands he do something for her he will toddle off and do it! It's so cute but I hate how she can take such advantage of him and he lets her!
hehe the joys of being the younger child. he will survive, with a few scares!
:hello: everyone!!
Afm: well cleaned like there was no tomorrow yesterday. When we moved in March id been so sick after the ectopic, so i hadnt done much around the house and we only had 5 days to pack so it was a messy job hehe. Just threw anything and everything into boxes! DH was away and with the three kids its was ugly  . So hence when we moved in there was so much storage space i just sort of unpacked whereever i was. So stuff in kids cupboards ect. SOOOO I had done the kids rooms to get them ready to paint so the NIGHTmare room was the PLAYroom! Which you could walk into! Junk in boxes that should never have been move! SOOO One Large Council Bin FULL of broken toys, craft stuff it was GREAT! And the two large removalist boxes of good stuff to vinnies!!! All the last of the books unpacked and now the room seems HUGE! The kids had all had birthdays since moving so the junk was on overload!
I can now see that a single bed and a cot would fit in there nicely WITH all the kids toys!
However, back is now killing me :( Oh well, only want to tackle the study today, another big job but easier as i can sit!
Dont really think its nesting just think that im freaking out that there is no much on my to do list and only 11weeks til my Evie was born or my back will be gone anyway hehe! One of the down sides to such a big home!
Hope everyone is well!
Hello Miss Milly!! I was actually thinking of you this morning! I'm glad to hear all is well for you :)
I have been having the cleaning thing on and off. Cleaning out cupboards and clothes and all that stuff, even though we've only been here for 4mths! LOL. I have been having back issues too, which isn't unusual, though it seems worse this pg. I guess I am more overweight and less fit this time! Plus with the two monkeys to chase, well I guess I'm just not able to rest alot. And like you we have a pretty huge house to look after and the kids love to trash it!
AFM, well the kids are both sick with colds after going to childcare for their first (and only) day! Hopefully they will be well enough to go tomorrow. It meant that playgroup was off the agenda today though, they're both snotty and Lily has a cough too. I've been struggling a fair bit with my hormones and moods. I have to see the GP soon, waiting for a day DH can have some time off work and come with me. Unfortunately the surgery is only open on weekdays, and DH is working weekdays at the moment. He is on light duties with an injured shoulder, so he's doing normal 9-5 hours, which is mostly great because he's not doing over time or anything and we know when his days are that he is working/off. So he's not getting shift allowence or overtime money, so we're a fair bit poorer (the only upside to shift work and being on call). And it also means we can't do alot because weekends are really quiet here, shops close at 12 pm on a Saturday here and don't re open til Monday! Plus our car is dead so we're stuck here. I'm getting pretty frustrated being here and not being able to do much. Anyway! Such is life!!
Ok gotta go the monkeys are way too quiet.....hope everyone is well.
Oh Kellie! What a nightmare. Is DH shoulder going to take long to get better? Nice to have him home every night but hard to get use to day work when you guys are so use to shift work!
I hear you on the back and the hormones! I know when im being unreasonable but i also want to be able to be unreasonable some of the time and have a little sympathy. Rather than being made to feel bad cause im not thinking of everyone else! aggggggrrrrr
Sad to hear the kids are sick. Its been such a bad season here for colds, has felt that it never ends... But :fingerscrossed: they are on the mend now too! Hope they go to Childcare tomorrow so you can be a lazy tart!
Tehehe, lazy tart, that's exactly what I want to be :D
tehhehe, thats exactly what im being today! Have showered but back lying on the bed with the laptop. Get up every now and then and feed the kids  This natural mother earth feeling comes to me so easily some days
Hahaha!! I can't with my kids they just get into more trouble than it's worth when I'm trying to rest. The other day Liam got intot he fire and spread ash and coals all over the loungeroom, the lounge, tv, tv cabinet, dining table....you get the drift. I then had to spend hours, in tears mind you cleaning it all up. I had to call DH home from work cause I couldn't cope, lol! The I had to rest on the lounge cause I gave my self a crampy tum and made myself sick from being so upset....aahhh, the joy of having little s***s for kids...
ahhh the joys. I do love it that my mother feels the need to say to me whenever i have a whine "oh i just dont remember mine ever being like this" "well im a crappy mother then!!!!!" Or i have three in 4 years and one on the way and you had one then another 4 years later!
Yep, my mum says the same sort of stuff. She had my brothers close though, 18mths apart, and then me almost 10yrs later! But she still says it was never so hard for her. I've stopped telling her stuff, she just makes me feel like a more useless mother than I already do....
well mum mothers children slept thru the night forever, never woke once!
Dear god i hope i remember how hard it is so i can support mum kids!
Not saying mum doesnt do heaps for me, its just the comments when i am already down!
Atleast we have bb to make us sane!
Yep, apparently we were all angels according to my mum too.
Like you, I hope I remember how tough a time I had while my kids have been little, so I can help my kids andnot upset them even more!
Would you believe just now my little devils escaped...jsut to prove what monsters they really are! I was putting on some washing and went out to check on them (they were outside) and they were escaping out the gate...luckily we are in a house which adjoins to a church next door which is all fenced in (though I think the front gate is open...). I wasn't gone for more than 3mins! I just can't leave them alone. I have now tied the gate up with some rope so they can't get out again. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they figure out how to get it off! Arrrgghhh!
ooops tom did that almost as soon as he could walk. We didnt know that all you had to do was push the gate and it opened out enough for him to fit thru. So the first i knew of it was the 10yr old boy neighbour knocking on my front door! how scary!
LOL, oops alright! At least the neighbour knew who he was! They just know how to give you a heart attack don't they? And they're only 2! Imagine when they're 12 and can REALLY think for themselves....oh man, I'm gonna end up in the loony bin!
or we'll drink alot!
Yes that same boy from next door use to be found on our roof too! at 9! i suppose at 12 they'll be steeling cars hehe!
