my 7 year old was very upset and i had to laugh when he told me he swallowed a claw hehe of leggo after that i had to cheer him up awww he just got that leggo set today.

just on top of everything, i got a call from department of children's services or aka dcd in W.A, was informed that my niece in foster care has stopped visitations with her dad as they felt it was for her own good! she is 3 years old, They then said she is o.k she isnt hurt nothing happened but couldnt tell me any more info i asked them to ask thier supervisor if legally then can tell me what happened and why there is an investigation. Now i wait. Me and hubbie did make application to become her foster career but the father and mother (my sister) comes first. now maybe no legal parent will get her.

I won't write it all again, Im too tired. Just wanted to say I have posted up pics of Seven & Nakita in the park today.

Im a little bit stressed, Seven cried all the way home from the city, hasn't stopped since and is still feeding every hour today.

I have made an appointment to see the CYH people but I couldn't get in until Nov 3. It might be too late by then, I may have lost it.

Kell, BB has a habit of that Saw the piccies on FB, the girls looked as though they might have been getting a bit grumpy? But they are gorgeous!

Ahh Poo Kell, it took Nakita a good week before she would really cuck it and she was 9 weeks old before we gave her one. Even now she still shakes her head and stuff sometimes and we just hold it until she gots hold of it. Hopefully something will change for her soon!

Hehe Mel, yes the tears were coming, they set each other off a few times! But both slept for the walk back towards the cars!! We were lucky we got the photos when we did as they both went a bit pear shapped afterwards!!

if he really wants a replacement there is a store here in Adelaide which is totally devoted to Lego and you cna buy indiviual pieces - they have everything Lego - hehe I love Lego!! hehe!

If you are expressing I would try about 100-120ml - based on his size, he may want to take more or less than that, it may take you a couple of expresses to build it up, just make sure that when you mix the EBM that you have it in the coldest part of the fridge for at least 1 hour so that they come to the same temperature before mixing then "heat" by placing the bottle in a bath of hot water. You will get an idea then how much he will drink, once you get that, then you can build it up slowly. I have been increasing Nakitas evening feed by 5ml each night, we have just hit 150ml for her 11pm feed (all EBM), we had done a jump from 120-150 also 130-150ml and she just couldn't handle it, so small jumps. For the night feed we use the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Bottles but for top ups/day feeds I use NUK bottles (the teats are a lot slower) so she has to work harder for it.

Let me know how your expressing is going, an remember that he will get more out of you then you will express, keep him nearby to help with a good letdown - good luck hun!

DP stood his ground tonight - he is now really p-o'd with his folks and said to me that they can go to hell!! Nice to know he's on my side!! LOL! He asked me to ask around about sunny coast suburbs - where's nice etc.

At the moment, we can leave all our doors unlocked at night - DP has even left his keys in the car ignition for a whole weekend ... that's how quiet it is here (reminds me of when i was growing up and no-one locked anything!) Is there anywhere like that up there?

Mel - found a thread where Tali was asking the same questions, so gonna look into a few suburbs suggested there too

Vic - Veygas will only drink EBM with a NUK teat, and only when Khaemon is hlding the bottle!! ... a 2.5 yo feeding a bub!!

Well this morning i got about 110mill in one go and i think i could have gotten a bit more was feeding josh on one side and expressing on the other. Vic when i am ment to tp him up a such with the EBM does that mean like well he normally gets 5 feeds daily so should that be 5 feeds plus the EBM? or 4 feeds with EBM as after feeds i am not sure if he could get more in after a 40 min feed, MW wasnt very clear on thsi so just going for any tips you can give.

well joshies upset gotta go at about 9am when he would be due for next feed i will weigh him nude and take my day from there. Currently at moment not thinking much of a gain if any but we will see. i weigh him withe xact routine each time regarding feed times.

Looks like you have a great supply there Squidipa. After he has fed off you I would see if he will take some more from the bottle, as he would be pretty buggered from sucking on the bbs from 40min. If not, try and get another feed in, what times does he feed at the moment?

ie yesterday Nakita fed at 7am, 11am, 1.30pm, 4pm, 6.40pm (I had expressed at 6 as I felt a bit full), then I gave her 120ml as she wouldn't have got a lot out of me, but was happy for her to drain me, then 150ml at 10.45pm - we get her out of bed and fill her up, today she woke at 5am for a feed and we are going again at 8.20am, so each day is different, but this one more so as we hadn't done a 5am feed for over a week, had been 7am. So i am not sure whst she will do today, it is warmer so perhaps she will feed more often.

Goodluck with your weighin's, we did a before and after a feed once - but I think they are crap! Because it is the time when bubs burns quite a bit of energy, so it isn't an accurate way of telling how much they had had.

No worries about the milk storage info, it would be terrible if any of that gold had to go down the sink, and I wasn't sure if you knew!

MM that is so cool, it must be useful you to have the other kiddlettes to help out with Veygas!

Nakita's cot arrives today - yay - so putting it together after playgroup, and I can't wait! I think we will put the bassinett off the pram in there for a bit so she gets used to the environment first.

Playgroup at 10 today, last official session but we have already organised the next two weeks!!

Had a good day yesterday she slept heaps, but didn't have much of her bottles, so she was unsettled last night - DH said he got up 8 times to resettle her with the dummy and he heard her belly rumble at around 4ish (he didn't feed her though, just chucked the dummy in..) I like your Pooh joke.. hehehe

MM - I answered in the other thread about areas around here - I so hope you can move up here - would be FANTASTIC!!!!! I wonder if I could get DS to feed DD for me... lol... nah doubt it.. he'd probably hit her over the head with the bottle instead..

Hellooooo to everyone else... mum has taken DD and DS for the day - so I'm currently kid free - and nope - not doing the housework that needs to be done, sitting on my fat butt on here with no interruptions (and yet Elmo is still on the tv? I have a problem!!) Going to have a nice cup of tea (with no interruptions) and wait for my friend to come and get me.

Picking up my car at 11am today - wooohoooo!!! Ahh its going to be PAINFUL taking 10 grand out of the bank this morning though - eeek!!!!

Another bit of a me post today....but with a difference...see if you can tell.....

Decided to try a couple of new things last night.

Spoke to a friend who is also a LC, and she suggested trying to hold Seven off to go longer between feeds, and also to really encourage her to take both sides at a feed.

So, after losing the plot a little yesterday afternoon, I sat down determined that this was going to work. I fed her, burped her, then offered her the other side, and she took it, for a few minutes anyway.

Then, started with our night time routine. Dim lights, warm house, minimal noise, nice deep bath, massage. Then I settled her to sleep in my arms ? took about 10 minutes ? in the hope that I could hold her off from another feed until it was at least 2hrs. Took her to bed with me at 10.30pm, with the intention of feeding, but she stayed asleep until 11.15, fed, and.........................

SHE WENT BACK TO SLEEP!

We totally missed the 11-2 screaming session! Seven fed 3 hrly overnight and I am now waiting to see if she wakes up happy. I know I have!

Vic. feeds are as follows and it is very consistent enless we go out then he sleeps.
5-6am there is 40 mins
9.30-10.30 he feeds for 30-40 mins
12.30-1 30mins-40
4-7.30 another 30-40 min feed

i sometimes force a feed at 10.30..... so between these times he always feeds right now sleeping so ill let him be. at 2.45 (school pickup) he gets restless for about mins and i am out at that time gonna give him some water at this time.

weigh was 4340 loss of 10 grams i am not going to hospital as its only 10 grams and it could be just a weight variance and i am allowing 10 grams diff as weights at clinic gave 2 weight figures the same as our scales so thats why i am not going to hospital today.

Vic.. as for weigh in before and after feeds its not really about the numbers it more that there is a change in the numbers no by how much. That way i know he has had something.

Ok I don't remember who it is but I need them to send Leash's frypan to me. Allegra was crying after a feed and I was in the middle of doing something DF just kept rocking her in the bouncer and didn't check to see if it was anything else, When I finally had the chance to check she had a pooey WTF he has been through the whole baby thing before with Cadence and I'm always telling him to do things Sorry for the rant. But on a funny note he did look a bit worried when I told him about the fry pan
