PMSL Kel, Shel does the same thing. Show off reverse parking and then I go "well YOU'RE getting the pram out!", apparently she prefers to drive straight out of the parking spot
Morning Ladies,
Still peeved at DF - again. He had Seven for 5 minutes last night then because HIS legs were tired, he handed her back! What about me? I've had her ALL day! ARGH
So, now I can say something embarassing about him - he can't park my car at all! He gets it crooked, over the line, wheels turned on a 90 degree angle and I give him **** every time he does it! Its rather amusing when we go out because he hs to reverse and go in about 50 million times. He's like a granny in a too big car I tell ya!
Ok, rant over!
Hope everyone is having a good day!
Thanks Kel!
I do the same thing when DP is driving ... he always chooses spots where you couldn't possibly open the back door of the prado (cause it opens outways, hinged on the drivers side of the car) whereas I like to choose spots that I can reverse into, but still open the door (90 and 45 degree angle parking against curbs for instance!)
I have to admit that I like to drive straight out too!!
AND I also just noticed my ticker - VEYGAS IS 3 MONTHS OLD TODAY!! :bluecheer::hooray::leap: Where has the time gone??? :jawdrop:
Oh Kell :comfort: My DP would rather play PS3 or Wii, or watch wrestling :wtf: and drown out Veygas crying than actually pick him up for 5 minutes! Oh I've cracked it hard at him a couple of times, but I think he feels a bit left out cause Khaemon was (and still is) such a daddy's boy (although is now starting to snub DP in favour of me :o ), and Veygas is mummy's boy the whole way!
So I totally know where you're coming from with having them all day!! (In my case all week, cause DP is gone all week! LOL!)
Does anyone else have the problem of spending all week settling bub into a little daily routine, only to have their partners trash it on their days off? Shel has gone from not involved to me having to say "can you maybe let her sleep?". She'll pick her up if she makes noise after only an hour asleep so Jazz will stay awake three hours and sleep for one when Shel is home, which makes for a horribley overtired whingey cranky baby, and I always have trouble getting her back to sleeping properly during the week... Or maybe its just my house?
Leash - one word - YES :wall:
But its ok - he puts her to bed every night - so he deals with the screams.. mwah haha.. ooooh I'm EVIL...
ETA - MM - YAYYYY for 3 months!!! Its going so quickly isn't it!?!?!?!?!?!! We'll definitely need to be belly buddies next time around ;)
Leasha.. TOTALLY!!! Even to the point where i will be getting him ready to sleep and i will have seen all the early tired signs and DH will come along and say "he's not tired" and proceed to play with him or keep him awake and then when he starts bawling he hands him to me and says "now he's tired" WTF????!!! :o He is also guilty of picking him up at the first little murmer.. and also- DS makes noise going TO sleep as much as he does waking up- and more than once i have JUST gotten him down and crawled back into bed 5 mins later i hear DH (who has slept through me feeding/changing and putting DS down) get up and say "are you awake buddy???" and pick him up and bring him to me for a feed!!!!!! LoL!!
My routine goes out the window on weekends and days off!!!
Oh and i am with Shel on the drive right out thing... me too!!
Calebsmum (kel)... I get that too- DH puts in about 5 minutes of effort and then passes him back, his excuse is " i dont have norco on tap" he wants boob!! which ok- 9 times out of ten i just have to flash them and DS settles, but he could at least try a bit more- its not like DS is actually hungry, its just the quickest and easiest way to settle him.
LoL- I am the crap parker in our family!!! I even have a small car and i am only recently getting good- when ever i do a decent park i make a big deal about it and say "look i did good- i am in between the lines and kind of straight!!" lol
MM.. very nice avatar!! And huge:confetti: Happy 3 months to Veygas:happybirthday: and i bet DD looked cute in her uniform!!! Have you posted a pic??
Pixie.. Yay on Beth's sleeping!!! And how cute- a GIGGLE!!!! Shane has giggled in his sleep- but he hasnt managed to do it awake yet- lol but he was the same with his smiles, he did it for weeks in his sleep before he cracked a real one awake- and now he smiles on cue!! lol
Well mum came and visited and Shane was full of smiles for her- she went OS from when he was about 4 weeks and she only got back about a week ago- so he had changed alot since she saw him last- she got to play with him and settle him and she had a ball!!
And i have finally ordered some actual prints of all of our photos of him!! I should get them delivered next week- i cant wait to frame some and put them in albums!!
DS fave new thing is to eat his hands!! He sucks and sucks at them - so cute!! Speaking of which- he is waking up now- and i am sure i can smell a pooey one- so i better get to it before it leaks!!!
Take care xoxo
LOL False alarm.... just some stinky farts!!
Sorry I missed you when you were up SB, next time?
PMSL I so know what you mean!:
times out of ten i just have to flash them and DS settles
Jazz also tries to eat her hands. I am waiting for the day when I look down to see a fist on her mouth! I've got the camera ready lol. Jazz has actually woken me up at night eating her hands *suck suck suck*
Ahhhh babies. Gotta love them!
Yeah Leasha... i ended up going to caboulture too on sunday but had enough driving... we will meet up one day i promise!!! MAybe next time i am heading that way we can organise something with Mel too!!
Katti - Can you believe it I never had time to take a pic of her in her uniform??? I was feeding Veygas until right up to just before we left and had to feed him again as soon as we got home from picking her up! :( Hopefully next week I'll get one! LOL!
IKWYM about stinky farts!!! pooheeeeee!Veygas attracts the bloody flies!! LOL!
Veygas is a thumb sucker - hates the dummy to pieces, but will settle himself by sucking his thumb (I reckon that's how I'm getting away with him sleeping through the night!!)
ROUTINE OUT THE WINDOW??? YES!!!!!! Every weekend, cause DP is gone all week LOL!
Mel - I don't think I can wait til June next year!!
Whereabouts are you Katti?? We are looking at getting land in Stanthorpe (I know Mel, it's not the Sunshine coast!! LOL!)
Leasha... lol yeah- when DS is upset i just pull them out and he gets soo excited he just looks at them and even starts playing with them before he clamps down!! Its funny coz its like the world is coming to an end- but as soon as he sees the boobies he suddenly has enough time to stop and play for five minutes!!! lol
MM..... i'm sure you can get her to dress up in her uniform again for a picture!! lol
I live in northern nsw, near Byron Bay- i had a loong drive to get to the brissie meet up!! I have a good friend who lives in caboulture which is near Leasha and Mel- DH and i go up there a fair bit for weekends. NEXT time i promise i will arrange a meet up- but usually its a last minute decision to go- even on sunday i wasnt going to go there- i was planning on coming right home- but at the last minute i decided i wasnt up for the drive home and went to my friends place.. i hadnt packed anything for myslef (luckily the nappy bag was FULL of clothes nappies etc for shane) but i go tburned big time with the poo explosion!! All over me!!!! LoL I had to wash my clothes there coz it was all i had!! lmao
Oh and those smelly farts before.. yep- explosion was not long after!!!
Shane tries hard to get the thumb in there- but hasnt quite mastered it yet!!
We are having a GINORMOUS storm here tonight!! Its windy and the sky is black!! I love a good storm!! It came up so quickly!!! I love storms!!!
Gee it didnt take me long to get back into the swing of things did it!! :p
hehehe Katti - we aren't in Qld yet - far from it! LOL, we are in the Blue Mountains!!! :)
Funny thing is, I think alot of the ladies in the July 16-31 thread are closer to me (I think I remember seeing that some of them lived around Richmond / Hawkesbury areas, which is kinda at the bottom of the mountain, if I go down the back road!! LOL!
And I just have to look at veygas, or make a move as if I'm gonna pick him up, and he smiles at me - sometimes we have trouble getting the thumb out of the way before the boob goes in though!!
Thanks for the copy and paste advice! But I know I won't learn. I haven't had that happen to me before, I've always been able to click the back button and copy and paste what I have written in to Word before the site chews it up! Plus I don't normally write a post for that long..... oh well I have no one to blame but myself!
Anyway in light of my lost post I won't go back and do all the personals I did first time - but I am thinking of all of you! Mwah!
Starbright - Yay for joining us! Welcome!
Ok, quick recap of yesterdays post - went to the Expo on the weekend. Was really good, I bought a whole stack of itti bitti d'lish nappies so I can pretty much keep Jett in cloth fulltime now! I think I will still keep him in sposies for night times though for the time being. I bought a twilight turtle which projects stars on the ceiling and the shell glows. If you want to look at it just google "twilight turtle". Might save that one for him for Christmas though. I bought a few breastfeeding tops too cos I'm struggling with my every day tops and feeding. And I bought a sling for Jett for wearing around the house and quick trips in to the shops. It was funny, I tried it on and put Jett in it and he fell asleep straight away - so how could I not get it??? I paid my money and walked out with him in it - lucky it was new out of the box or I could have ended up with a demo!!
Jett has been a bit funny today - not out and out uncontrollable, but just not settling, whimpering and getting upset. I think a lot of it is him getting overtired and not sleeping when he needs to. He really fights it, one of the reasons I wanted to get the sling. I did put him in it earlier and like a charm he went straight to sleep. But then I really wanted a shower so I put him on the bed still in the sling but he woke up as usual when I was half way through my shower. Oh well, nothing I can't handle! :)
I hope everyone is enjoying their little cherubs!
Evening all!!! You can seriously chat on here I have no chance of catching up on todays chatter!
Long day today, work first up this morning, had a meeting - but had it at home and I was bought a nice hot chocolate - yay, gotta love that!
Caught up with my playgroup mums - we have already started catching up outside of our Friday session, this week is out last session. There are a few photos on Facebook if you are on there!
Went to hospital and saw my dad - WOOT!! He is coming out in the morning so I wil be picking him up by 10, the he is staying with us overnight and my mum is coming down from the country for the night and I am cooking a lamb roast!
Also my sister had her MRI today and it was all clear - WOOT! She has aslo been approvd to have the medication for one month for $25, heaps beatter than $30,000!!! But we don't know what will happen after that.
We have more bricks, pretty much downstairs is done, I guess they will be waiting for scaffolding for the second story.
Welcome back Starbright!
Must go and express, hopefully I will be able to keep up tomorrow!
Shock horror, I’m awake. Seven WAS soundly asleep, until the very second I put her in her basinnet. She’s been crying ever since. She’s currently on my lap whingeing. Doesn’t want a feed, just wants to me to stand up and hold her. My back is about to break. Holding a 5.5kg baby for hours on end is not good for a bad back!
DF has been asleep since 7.45. He’s ‘tired’. Im over him being ‘tired’. So am I! He doesn’t wake up every 2hrs to feed a hungry baby. He doesn’t get up early to spend all day with a needy baby. He gets to go to work and come home and go to friggin bed!
If I bring this up, I know what he will say. “I work all day”. So frigging what?
Somethings gotta give.
I need this baby to go to sleep before midnight. I have tried everything. Im SO dam tired! This is NOT what it was supposed to be like.
I am sorry about the ‘me’ post again – but I am going to lose my mind if I don’t vent. I know you are all going through the same things, but I don’t know what else to do.
Morning yummy mummies!
Hope all had a good night and  to those who didn't!
Well I was supposed to go and do the bay walk this morning with the girls from my mother's group but the weather is dreadful so not today.... But it's on every wednesday so next week. I don't mind because I have to be at an appointment at 12 so I was going to be cutting it fine. today is the day my stepmother is minding Beth so I can go and get a spa treatment! it's a late birthday present so it should be a great day.
Kel - I feel for you babe... hope you get a solution soon. Leash, where is that frying pan you used to hit Shel with - it sounds like it worked on her so pass it on to Kel!
Vic - great great news about your dad and your sister!! And saw your playgroup photos on FB - sooo cute!
MT - bummer about losing your post, hate that! and great that Jett liked the sling. We have (two) Baby Bjorns but DD HATES them. Wondering if she would like a different type of sling or if she just doesn't like the whole concept.
MM - happy three months to Veygas :bluecheer:
kel84 - you were asking about nappy brands - we used to use huggies until everyone started saying they had gone downhill, since then have used aldi and babylove... both good. Waiting for the poo frequency to drop a bit then will probably get the nappywash service, since dad has offered to pay for it.... so then it would be cloth flats.
I posted my birth story here so if anyone has half an hour to kill go for it.... make sure you have a cuppa handy though it's pretty long!
Big waves to mel, SB and everyone else - hope you all have a great day!
