Kel fab to see ya online how is it going? Both your daughters have birthmarks in same place aww so cute. How are you balancing things??????
SB as for a red mark on eye lid myn has that to it will go away i believe it flares up more when he rubs it so dont be concerned it will probably go away too. some days it looks worse than others.
BEST SLEEP EVER!!!!! Last night 10.30 feed he woke took dummie then woke at 4.30am for feed didnt have much tho, then slept till 8.15am feed again then not till 12 then again at 2 and again at 3 but the nigth sleep oh boy iu woke feeling so refreshed it was great. Also last night was my first night with ot him comming into bed with me in the morning.
Kids are over the moon about new Zealand and so are we.
Kiwigirl We are after a blank statutory declaration so we can fill out the info our selves. Here we buy them for about 2 dollars in the post office but obviously we cant get nz ones. Need to write my intentions down to return to Australia on it with kids as a reassurance.
Well that was my post at 5pm.. But i couldnt post it as an emergency happened.
My daughter maganged to get a sewing needle into the Back oh her heal the only thing we could see hanging out of her sock was a piece of string. We took her t emergency and they pulled it out done a scan and it was all good. She was up to date with all tetnis shots so didnt need that now she will take antibiotics for few day. I am warn out now. Wasnt worried at all about having to take her to hospital very cool with it all i guess you could say.
left josh and the 3 and 7 year old with dad even got him to cook tea too left him with NO breast milk as eh had just fed. Hubbie said that he was surprised at how long things take to get done when ay have bubs all the time.
well its 11 o'clock right now, Every one is fast asleep thinking do i wake josiah up for bum change and feed which the bum change i know he desperately needs or leave him. hrmmm Or should i get diner first and eat that. Do i even want dinner. Na not really Ill have some fruit loops for tea Then ill wake josh up change and feed him and hopefully he will go back to bed as i am sure going to be ready.
Do you ever think you could ever have to many family photo's displayed in one room? BTW this is a serious question how many is to much if they are all in separate frames? Might skip the fruit loops!!!! i think im sounding loopy hehehe Must be tired i know my legs are aching. Since having josiah i have noticed any walking i do other than round the house. Prolonged walking, i guess i should have said that, makes my back ache and hurt anyone else got this issue?
BTW we got pics printed to day and i been framing them I printed some out to send to mom as she has no internet or pc and doesnt have much money still recovering from a just about fatal car accident june jully last year. She spends all her cash on medicine so thought ild go to big w to get em printed out and post them over. Only 12 cents for printing digitals
I am starting to feel tiered should head to bed. We have house inspection on Monday and its like arggggg as we havnt done anything just maintaining and keeping on top of the general crap is enough for u right now. With out me doing all the things i used to. Tummie still aches feels swollen like and weird to touch same as when i was in hospital. Now ladies your about to bust my butt i know midwife thinks i should see GP but honestly i dont have the time Its hard to do things alone with the 3 year old and josiah. If i was in real real pain i would not hesitate to get my fat a** down to see the dr.

1 cold coffee
1 lettuce ham and cheese sambo
and passion fruit fruit drink
thats my intake today. How is your eating going sasha.
Its time to go toilet brush teath then check all kids are rugged up and warm and put locks on food cupboard turn fridge alarm on and lock up lights out and see to josiah in nursery. Good night ladies and Babies
well i feel, tired and exaushted already head is thumping legs aching. I am feeding josh and one handed typing. Tummy hurts still. Today is going to be one of those days i can tell. Hubbies thumping all round house and in a big mood. So is sorta watch out. I dont mind just as long as its not taken out on wrong ppl.
Some times i so feel like im not being listened to and if ever i comment its like i feel like i am not aloud to have feelings. Does anyone else feel like that? Well after my late 11 oclock night josiah slept real well feeding at 8 and 11 and 4:50 and 6.30 then at 10.30 and still on there sorta a sleepy occasional suck happening now. I was so warn out from our trip shopping yesterday that i ended up exuashted not eating much or drinking and having a late night. Last night felt so tired i ended up sleeping with josh in morning feed.
curious question when every you have to go out some where do you find hubbie's/partners just seem to get them selves ready??? or not help out as much as they could, its like they have no idea what needs doing? hrmmm i am wondering as it seems i am the only one stressed and run down before even leaving the house wish i was returning home. it seems everything ends up being a big job.
i am also got this stupid chesty like flu cold thing upsetting my asthma.
the 3 year old scoffed out on the bread this morning its the first time hubbie has really seen what i deal with each day he has seen bits and pieces in past but some times i dont think he realized the extra work the 3 year old creates in doing that.
just as i am tying now i hear hubbie apologizing to my daughter for an out burst. gotta say that makes me happy. just another thing has anyone noticed that some things are option able for partners but not for you??? i find this bloody annoying how their brain works and says its an option yet us females have no choice interesting how the two sex's brains work

Hey squidipa great that the little one is sleeping a bit more. Makes such a difference just to get a few hours uninterrupted sleep!
SB - do you have the one with the soft plastic "massage cushion" thingy? if so make sure it's securely tucked around the rim - I was trying with mine this morning and hadn't tucked it around the rim securely and nothing was happening. The other thing you could try is removing the massage cushion completely as it's easier to create the vacuum. But if you can get the massage cushion in place correctly I think it does work better. You need a friggin masters degree in engineering to put the things together though don't you! I had to get the Bear to help me figure it out. And even he had to RTFM.
A quick question - DD has very dry skin, peeling in places.... does anyone have any suggestions for baby moisturisers? i looked at some yesterday but they all seemed a bit heavy on the petrochemical byproducts. Any suggestions for good natural baby moisturisers?
Kel, mel, MM, kiwigirl, Beema and all have a great day!
Hi pixie.. Yes you do need a masters to put it together and then a diploma to bloody use it!! lol yes it has one of those suction thingy's i did think about taking it off- i am giving it a break for now and trying not to stress about it all.. will make another attempt soon!!!
Shane has also had a fair bit of dry skin- i have been using the johnsons baby sorbelene-and also some innoxa baby massage oil- which i have found works better.
Squidipa.. Sorry to hear thinga are getting abit too much and that your not getting much helpfull support!! I hear you- my hubby goes through stages of being exactly how you describe one minute- to being the perfect man the next!! i am getting a fair amount of support- but yes some days its like i get into to trouble for breathing or having a differing opinion to him about ANYTHING!! I will say that he is pretty good come going out time- he knows we need the baby bag 9and that it needs to be stocked) and blankies and that Shane needs to be fed and changed and dressed before we go- all which can take up to an hour- and he then he also knows somewhere in that time I need to get ready- so he needs to be able to watch Shane while i shower dress etc- so i am pretty lucky - although sometimes this procedure is done nicely- other times its done with us both making short nasty comments to eachother as we rush around in a mad panic!! lol I havent had to face getting ready on my own yet- scary thought really....
I think emotions and hormones all run pretty wild about now- adjusting to everything and getting used to a new person tends to make everyone a bit strung out- especially us ladies who are doing the majority of night feeding duties etc- and when we loose our patience- it rubs off on our men- (so i found out recently re- my mini pill episode- when i went crazy-) it made me highly irrational and hence dealing with dh i was short tempered and cranky- which rubbed on off him- once i calmed down again- DH followed suit and things have been dramatically different these last two days!! We are both smiling again!!
Speaking of which we are about to set out now- and i am using my shower time to post- so i better hop to it before i loose my window of oppotunity!! lol
so quiet today bar from my winging.. everyone is sleep i am one handed typing now and feeding josiah. Just finished booking nz flights leave on 7th march return on 5th april. need to go make tea for my self as i have only had brunch today sambo ham and cheese. the kitchens a mess from tea and there is still jobs to be done. hubbie done loads of jobs while i been stuck with josh. Hopefully i can get him down for a while and get to clean up round here think the coffee will be running a bit tonight..... got budget to do also. Even tho i am tired i just know if i leave it to tomorrow it wont be done as ill have the other 3 kids under me also and making more mess.
I do all the night feeds and changes hubbie takes the 3 year old toilet if he gets up. i go to bed after hubbie and he gets up at 10 to 5 and im up not much after that if not before. Some times i am lucky to go back to sleep after that feed till 6.15 before i am woken by 3 year old. Unsure what this body is running on.... It sure aint sleep or food!
this is my add on at 10.59 im still up trying to get josh sleep properly but while i was up i claimed some velocity points and are getting National Geographic Star Planetarium think kids will love it hubbie included!!

: more to share
Hope all those bubs and all you mums are having a great sleep. Josiah went down down at 12 i ate dinner at 1am egg in bread and are just pottering round tiding up. Ive finished doing the kitchen putting dishes away and washing the last of the dinner ones. I had to do some extra washing when i found out that my cutlery was in water someone must have spilt stuff in the cutlery tray. Plus no one had out the cutlery in their groups so i had to re do that. I have done the budget came out with more than i thought same thing happened last fortnight too great saving. Swept floor too and done some other things Josiah should start to get restless soon and need the dummie in. He will wake at about 4.30.
Got some washing to fold up now, i need a shower too need to wash my hair but hrmm cant sleep with wet hair. We dont have a electrical plug in our bathroom for hair dyers. I can tell ill be so tiered tomorrow. At least two kids are off to school. Is anyone having period pain like cramping???
Feeding... 1.47am start... Nakita has hardly been sleeping during the day last 2 days, really unsettled, the last two nights she has been mostly settled is after 9.30-10pm feed. Gave her 80ml of EBM, last night she just lied awake in her pram, then went to sleep, no grizzling, just chatting, tonight after 3 burps during the feed (both times she downed the bottle in 15 minutes) out like a light, stirred at 1.17 a couple of rocks of the pram and got another 30 min out of her. After first side 25 min will change her bum, switch sides for another 25 min.. slow feeder... then back to bed I hope.. won't be surprised if she wakes some where between 5-6am... I miss the extra hour or 2 I used to get oops dozed off .. she got a bit extra woo hoo she really drained the boob... change done...next side
Friends coame over tonight and we cooked a chicken and leek pot pie - omg was soo good, quick easy and cheap (got 4 massive leeks at the markets for $3.50), really fresh ones hope it doesn't give her too much wind... I will know about it after this feed!! Great meal can be eaten with one arm free - ie bf'ing... very important these days.
:woot: Baby Bonus just arrived in my account pity we missed out on the extra $742... but wasn't holding on for another 1 hour 23 minutes!!! Really don't think I had a choice!!
2.56am, looks like feed is over, little miss is asleep.. off to bed
Sorry after so little sleep last 2 nights.. not with it enough, will do personals during the day... considering I have thought that Nakita is going to be 7 weeks today... but alas no she is 8 weeks - only just realised tonight!!! D'oh!!!

btw one handed typing got josh sleeping in my dressing gown
vic... i heard around the 6-8 wek mark they get real restless as they are having a growth spurt. Well thats what the mw said to me any how. Did you not apply for the baby bonus right after birth we got outs at 2.5 weeks applied after hospital took just over a week to come through. Just spent part on plane tickets. Does leeks give you wind?
I am feeling tired but still got things to do at 5 hubbie will be up so can clean my room and a quick tidy in the nursery for inspection. Hoping josh will go down in about 20 mins so i can maybe get another coffee to help me stay awake. want a shower before hubbie leaves for work dont think its gonna happen tho.
well i gotta say im feeling very disappointed with myself i didn't get as much done as i wanted i did have a shower tho. Josiah was restless Not sleeping as much as i would have liked and spending to much time actually with me. Now i have to get kids ready for school. Im just grrrrrr i didn't do as much as i wanted very disappointed. Josh is up again so i gotta go GRRR
gudism i find if i dont type or keep busy while feeding or holding him i will fall asleep and the 3 year old will go wild.
well this morning was my first morning with all 4 kids and a school day.
woke them at 6.30 lets just say things did not go smoothly and they arrived at school 40 mins later than normal. Ive got hubbie cough chesty thing and its effecting my asthma. got that period like pain and feel like crap to sum it all up!
Oh well didn't get online during the day yesterday so I am back again in the middle of the night!! Nakita actually went down after her 6pm feed, slept thru til 10, fed bottle 80ml EBM, went back to sleep, we are @ 2.40am, feeding now I guess till about 3.30am o so... then it is a guessing game as to what she will do next.... hopingf she might go thru to seven - yes wishful thinking on my part I guess!
We have our checkup in 12 hours with my OB and MW, don't know how she is going to go weight wise as we both thought today that she feels lighter to both of us! We hope to be proven wrong!
I don't expect we will find out a reason for the PPROM, just one of those things am guessing, will mostly enquire as to "next time" risks of it happening again, monitoring etc.
My Contractor has starting honing (grinding) our concrete footing for our house, we are having polished concrete, so they basically grind it 7-12 times each time with a finer attachment until it comes up very shiny, we threw in a heap of black granite chip into the concrete at the end of the pour, so we ae exposing that, and in then end it will look similar to a polished grey granite. Sooo easy to keep clean, better than tiles as there is no grout! Thursday they are starting the frameworks, and when I dropped by today all the bricks were there.
back to Rachel and Mel- I think there will be a bit of casual waving happening around here while these bubs find their routines, pity we just get used to one routine and thet change it on us!
Squidipa - I haven been hoping it is a growth spurt cos if it isn't I can't wait to find out hat she is like during one!!
Ok little miss has gone to sleep, will have to continue personals later, I need sleep!!
Hey Pixie, Nakita had quite a bit of dry skin, I just used plain sorbelene, "no addatives" on it, two applications in one day used liberal amounts and her skin it looking great now! except for he heat rash!
Glad the emotions are settling Katti, I wonder what the reason is behind not starting the mini-pill until 4 weeks PP... ay least the is what my OB prescribed. Pumps are tricky devices I need to work out how to put Nakita's baby carrier together so at least when she is heavy enough we can use it!
Rose, MM how are you going our other mummies of many
Leasha, I hope your little party girl is giving up the nighttime partying!
Cream, I use the Johnson's baby naturals (in the green bottle) - I also use it as a hand cream cause my fingertips are prone to splitting at the moment (but I also read that taking flaxseed oil is good for that too, so I'm doing that too!). About a week after Veygas was born, he went all dry and flaky, and this cream cleared it up in one day! So I have just kept using it to keep him soft and moisturised!! With DD, I used innoxa - baby bath, baby oil, baby shampoo and baby moisturiser (also the innoxa nipple cream worked wonders too!) - but I can't get it anymore, none of the chemists here seem to stock any of it!
Mel - yeah I had an abscess in my groin - bl00dy painful thing it was too, it hurt when I walked, stood, sat - it ballooned to 2cmx3cm in one day, out of nowhere! The doc reckons it was caused by an infected hair follicle! Having it drained hurt as much (if not more) than childbirth, I reckon!!
Early childhood nurse came around and visited today - Veygas now weighs 5620 grams, up 1860 grams from his birth weight (sheesh, nearly 2 kg!) in just 5 weeks! (man, that's an average of 372g per week!) :O Methinks he has started his growth spurt early!! His head circumference is now 39.5cm - 3.5cm bigger than birth!! Funny thing is, he still looks small, and still fits into 0000's with room to grow! So he must just be a short-ar$e like his mummy!! LOL!
Vic - the polished concrete sounds awesome!! What a fantastic idea! Did you guys design the house yourselves? I love the plans, it's so unique!
Well, we all got out of the house on Sunday and spent the day outdoors! Veygas was really good all day, but had a bit of a crappy night (he woke up about 3 or 4 times and feel asleep again after 5minute top up feeds - but I didn't have the heart to wake him to feed more!) It was good to be out as a family though, plus we met up with a friend who separated from his wife about a year ago, and now has sole custody of their FIVE kids - so that was fun, 3 of us trying to keep an eye on 9 kids!!
Hopefully this flu thingy is on it's way out - I gave in and started taking some natural cold & flu tablets cause I was just feeling like crap, and getting really irritable all the time, and I figured I'm no good to anyone if I'm sick and can't do anything!
Anyway, hope all mums and bubs are well - maybe I should jump on in the middle of the night when Veygas won't settle as well!! hehee
