Yeah, my eldest was the same ... I noticed it when they all came to pick me up from hospital the day after Veygas was born!! (shows how much attention my IL's paid!!) Stupid thing was that he had been on school holidays for the two weeks previously and hadn't been anywhere!! And fortunately he didn't pass them on to the other two - this time!! :rolleyes::

Vic - I just added a bit of each until I got a nice paste and slathered it over his head. It looked totally wrong (think greater volume of that scene from there's something about mary!!!!)

Last night when doing Josiah's bom he pee'ed right in my eye ball and crap fired out too to boot. I was covered in wee there was a puddle on the change table, My eye was stinging something bad. Then i realize the wipes were in lounge so had to yell out to hubbie and i mean YELL as he wouldnt wake UP and Josiah just kept peeing i had my hand over his wooohooo and it was all over me what a mess! The joys of boys but even still being my 3rd never been pee'ed right in the Eye!! No wonder why ya see blokes looking stupid on tv with masks and goggles the goggle are a very smart idea!!!! thinking of investing in some.:cryinglaugh:
:rofl: Squidipa, you crack me up!! I have been sprayed with poo a couple of times and it is pretty hilarious!!! Lucky for me the wee just kinda goes everywhere, usually all over her clothes!!!!!!

Yeah, Veygas is a bit like Josiah ... I have been simultaneously covered in wee and poo - projectile poo at that!! And earlier, he chucked down my sleeve!!! (ew that was uncomfortable!!) :cryinglaugh:
As far as lice goes, I have found that bl00dy shampoo doesn't work!! Even the stuff that comes with the tea tree spray isn't as good. At the first sign of lice, I smother the kids heads in conditioner (straight onto dry hair) and leave it for about 10 or 15 minutes (sometimes longer if I have other stuff to do!), then I comb through with the special lice comb and boy does that bring the buggers out!! I spend at least an hour combing through their hair in every direction possible and when I can't see any more lice coming out with the conditioner, I rinse their hair and then spray with 100% tea tree oil and rub that through. Gets rid of the lice in a day or two (depending on how bad it is!)

MM..... i use baby oil and put it in thier hair for the night and then wash it a few times to get the oil out. I cover thier pillow slip with a old towel i find that anything i may have missed just cant survive..I also have done this with conditioner too... I do the comb through for lika ages last time the combing and egg picking took me over 5 hours for my daughters hair and my sons. I was in a lot of pain after with Josiah so heavy in my pelvis and couldnt walk after. Requiring bed rest. But i agree that the chemicals dont work either. We have the robi comb too we use that and the fine tooth comb. We have tried everything on the market!
Just a quickie while i wait for daycare lady to come.... I had a horrible nights sleep:( josiah was restless didnt really want to feed think he just wanted me up and moving for cuddles but i was tired so just rocking on the bed was all i could give. The dummie was blinkin uselss:wall: too he was restless yesterday arvo too:doh:. If all goes to plan we will be going drs today for a check up thats it and more general house cleaning towards the inspection on Monday.
:hug: Squidipa, it is tough when they are just restless, little miss was from 5.45am, this morning she wouldn't rest in bed with me either, I think I stuffed it up last night and she got over tired!:wall:
Oh well, I am going into the office and Nakita is going on her first construction site visit this morning - unless I leave her with the girls, I have been keen to get back to work - a few hours in the middle of the day while she sleeps and at night after dinner and through her evening feed which dad dores, I justress and can do that at anytime really.
She has really sore bum today as well :( so got the Covatil on it again, so have my little anchovie!! But it works an absolute treat and usually only have to do a couple of treatments to get rid of it.
Also I haven been uploading more than 100 (ok I am crazy!!) photos to photo bucket over night so hope to have a heap od newbies on the blog, also blog is getting more up to date - if you feel like some light reading :rofl:

Must have been the night for it gals!! :hug: Veygas was really unsettled all night - woke up like every 2 hours and each time just had top up feeds of about 5 minutes :( But, yeah, w stuffed up last night too cause Khaemon's doc appt was for 5pm, we didn't get home til 6.
Doc said it's normal when little kids get gastro bugs for the diarrhoea to last 5 or so days, but at least he's drinking well and eating a bit now - he keeps asking for cake, and about 1/2 hr ago ate 1/4 of a mega blueberry muffin!
Feels like I am coming down with the flu - or maybe just run down ... I didn't really eat properly yesterday and I think having a restless night didn't help :(

YEP DEF the night for it- every two hours here too- and this morning we only want ONE hour!!!! My little man is the perfect image if over tired!! and so is his mumma!!!
On a good note- we had our earlychildhood appt yesterday- oh i stuffed up with my weights in another post- i had the numbers 6 and 7 in my head- lol he started at 2830- went down to 2650 then back up to 2715.. so not 600 grams!! lol just 200!!! But he is now up to 3160 so after two weeks he is about 330 grams over birthweight and he has grown 2cm in length!! My little beef cake!!!! the nurse showed us some settling techniques (which i am trying to put into action as we speak- to my little man disgust!! What no snacks mum???!!!!!) She said he is rpobably getting full from all my snack feeding- and so when he should be hungry he isnt- and hence he is getting over tired and very cranky!!! Yes- yes indeed he is!!! So we are trting to settle him without the boob if he wakes before 2 hours- if its after two i am feeding him- but its like he heard the lady or something- coz up till last night he was waking every hour- and then last night he did it every two hours!! Like he knew he would get a feed!! lol so i am trying to push him to three hours- its been two hours since i put him down- but he woke half an hour ago and so it was really only 1 and a half hour of sleeping (cheater) so i am trying to settl ehim down again for at least another half an hour to an hour- seems to have worked at last- love the bouncer!!!! And we have started to introduce the dummy- he likes to spit it out- but it is having some effect when all he wants to do is suck- but is already full.
Well he is quiet now- but still not asleep!!! Relaxation music on the cd player appears to be helping!!!! Little eys are closing!! Time for mummy to attempt to do the same!!
Oh and Mel.. no cradle cap here- but the biggest case of milk pimples i a=have ever seen!! Red and sore looking- but apparently its all good!! And wont get better for a few weeks yet!!

hehe Katti, Veygas likes to freak me out and "gag" on the dummy - of course he is only pretending cause other times he'll happily suck on it!!
I have found that if he has wind down low, sucking on the dummy will help him get rid of it, but if the wind is trapped high (like right now) nothing works :(

MUST of been the night for it. She wasn't too bad - she fed around 8pm.. was still snacking on the same bottle at 9pm and then we were wanting to feed her at 10pm but she wouldn't wake up (little bugger) so then she woke up at 11.45pm... and then again at 3 or 4am.. I don't remember - too tired..lol She's not a fan of the dummy either..
HOWEVER - the Toddler slept through for the first time in AGES... woohoo for Aricyn.. lol
No wind problems here since starting colic relief so we are going to switch to normal S26 now to try and stop hard poo poos.....
Both children are sleeping at the moment, I should do the same but nahhh.. I'll have a pepsi that'll perk me up.. plus it will help wash down all the chocolate I just had.. lol....

hello everyone!!
i did go to drs had shower this morning so that was GREAT felt much better. The dr's turned out to be dud as centerlink hasnt finished sorting out with medicare so had no number for johie.... Ended up sorting it out my self so maybe friday we may try it! Went to reject shop got some cheap rice crackers and stuff then picket up a jacket in supre for the daughter for 1.50. Ill put it away for her maybe for Christmas :) Went got some fruit veg and what not at that cheap place and thats it. They has 6 packets of hans 97% fat free ham for $10 each packet is 125 grams. Reported income to centrlink and thats it so far need to put food away and at some thing as i have only had cookies and rice crackers. Firstly need to settle smell bags first :)
Got the barracuda creepy crawly thing just need to re hook that up yay!!! Also got phone call regards the pediatrician surgen so thats good its early sept

Mine has been sleeping all day today... hmmm... what the hell am I in for tonight!!!!!
squidipa- our problem is too much awake time!! lol He has started having these short naps- (an hour or so at a time) and then i try to re settlle him without feeding which can take up to another hour- then by the time its time for a feed he is so worn out that he only feeds for about 10 mins and then goes to sleep!! I cant win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently its time for him to get some "on the belly time" according to the early childhood nurse- but she also said that i should only take 40 minutes to feed- change and settle him to sleep without over stimulating him- dont know where belly play time fits in that tight schedual!!!!! But she did say- in a few weeks he will start to cope better with more awake time (he is 2 weeks 3 days old now) but till then we should concentrate on getting a regular eating and sleeping thing going- and awake and play time will come later on.
Its all brand new to me- and i will admit i am pretty easily influenced by other people telling me what i should be doing- although alot of what this lady was saying made sense to me i.e his tired behaviour signs (that i mistook for wind- and then kept him more awake by my insistant attempts to burp him!! ) we havent used any infants friend since yesterday and he has been fine!! lol I guess it takes time and practice and getting to know our bubbas (as they constantly change!!) to really learn what works for them!!
MM Yes Shane did a gag thing on the dummy first time too!!! I totally freaked and had to get dh to give it a go - and then he took it no worries!! We did try a few different ones we tried and i have one completely stupid one that the nipple thingy moves around- its almost impossible for me to get it in his mouth!!
Oh and speaking about our projectile wee men- Shane wee'd on the nurse yesterday!! lol
i managed to keep shane settled till the three hour mark- and down he went- we are just hitting the one hour of sleep down - holding my breath to see if he will stay down a bit longer!!!!!!!!!!! :crossfingers:
On the phone to a teltra dude right now- we have been trying to organise new mobile phones since before Shane was born- we keep getting close to finalising the deal (after at least 2-3 hours on the phone each time) before something happens to stuff it all up!! Either computer breaks down (teltras) and then we had a hiccup coz they asked for hubbies ABN but then had me as the account holder- and of course the two didnt match- lol then we were told we could go to a teltra shop to pick phones up- but that wasnt possible.. then he called yesterday and we nearly got it all done- but then i had to go to our early childhood appt and so he has had to call back today (now) and we have to go through EVERYTHING again!!!!! lol its just been a joke!!! it the same guy i have talked to everytime- and he spends more time talking **** then actually organising the darn deal that it takes for freakin ever!!! I would be over it but i kind of want the cool new phone!! And coz it has taken so long by now that if i dont keep doing it all my time has been wasted sooooo far!!!!!!!!! lol its the only reason i am doing it- but if it doesnt work here and now- i am officially OVER IT!!!!!!
