Babies Born August 1st ~ 15th 2009 #2

Hey Willow,
With Eli's settling, I must admit I usually feed him to sleep, although sometimes I don't. If he is really tired I can just put him straight down whilst he is awake - he puts his thumb in and boom he is asleep (like this morning!). Other times he needs boob to send him off. I am not fighting it - BUT I may pay later :wall:
Because he was sleeping so poorly and I was exhausted I put him in our bed for 3 nights and found he woke up maybe twice, but went back to sleep on his own. Then by the 3rd night he didn't wake at all, except for the one feed around 4ish. Then for the last 3 nights I put him to bed in his cot as usual around 8:30 then fed him in bed laying down with me around 4, then put him back into his own cot. That is all I can think of. Just co-slept for a few days then he was fine. Maybe try if possible? Poor thing I know it is so hard, hopefully he will just switch soon!!!! Maybe it is also his croup?? Just wanting comfort all the time and to be close to you???

Sorry for no persies, we have had a few really bad nights here. Last night was a shocker, she wouldn't settle until almost 1am :o The rest of the night was OKish though at least, and she is having a snooze now. I just had one with her and since I woke up I feel like cr@p! Anyway, we had needles last week and a horrible nurse that did the needles, I got in trouble for doing everything wrong! Fair dinkum, I'm surprised that she is still alive the amount of stuff I'm doing wrong :rolleyes: Should be giving her the swine flu vax, should be brushing her teeth, should be getting her to eat heaps of solids - she even suggested that maybe I'm not using the right spoon LOL, and she's not putting on enough weight - 200g in the last month - well maybe being sick had something to do with it! Man, I was so annoyed when I left that appt - damn me for being too polite to tell her to blow it out her ear! LOL

LOL thanks Rach :) You are right about some of these nurses, that's why I have avoided them this time around - I heard it all with DD1 :rolleyes: Too bad I couldn't avoid this one! Although I have a plan to avoid her at our 12 months needles ;)

Oh and I forgot to say, she was absolutely horrified when I said we were givng her finger food :wall: I hope you're supervising she said - well no I put it all in front of her and leave her to go it alone while I soak in the tub or something! :rolleyes: what a PITA. As if I'd leave her alone to eat, that's the whole idea of it, so she can join us at meal time.

I've got her on the boob now and looks like she's going back to sleep - wish me luck! Poor little thing is tuckered out after last night I think.

Follow your gut hun, you know your baby - she doesn't! Hope she is catching some zzz's now and you have a great night tonight.
Now, just remember before you put her to sleep she'll need a bath, make sure the water isn't too hot and you'll need to hold her up in the bath too, best not to leave her unsupervised, she'll need a clean nappy and suitable clothes and don't for heavens sake forget to tuck her in................:lol: :lol: :lol:. HAVE YOU GOT THAT???????????;)

hi everyone
just a quick update as i havent been on in a while...( trying to get organised to move back to canberra :juggle: )

ds is doing great, loves his food were on 2-3 feeds a day, talks all day, can now say dad :) ( no signs of him saying mum though), sleeping has been ok we go to sleep at 6-7 sometimes wake up aroung 8:30-9 then back to sleep at 10 and usually sleep till 7.
he can roll onto his tummy in an instant but still cant get back onto his back (its funny to watch though) and no teeth yet....hopefully one will cut through inb the next few days cause its driving me crazy:wall:

oh also my sis is due in september and will be finding out what the sex is in 3 weeks :leap: i cant wait :excited:

Just a quick post as we're in the throws of packing (moving day is next Monday :o ).
Issy - please don't beat yourself up about DS sleeping patterns - so many of the bubs in my Mum's group IRL have gone from sleeping through at an early age to being total nightmares at 6 months - it seems to be a developmental thing and many factors can worsen or ease the situation - just keep doing as you are, figure out what works for you and he'll come right again :)
Megsmum - what an AWFUL health nurse you have! I've herad of some real shockers out there! Luckily ours, while a bit vague and ditsy with her advice is at least non-judgemental and kind. Even so I've been taking Orla to our GP vax nurse for her shots - over and done with in a flash, minimal fuss and no unwanted advice!
AFU, Orla's had a horrible snotty cold and we've held off the 6 months shots til later this week. Her snottiness has made for a few crappy night's sleep too :( Seems to be coming right now tho....OK gotta keep packing!

Mad4e - maybe we can catch up sometime when you have settle in Canberra :) I have made a couple of good friends IRL from BB here in canberra.

Megsmum - At least you know better then to take what the nurses spout as gospel. I hate seeing new mums who are so upset and worried after being berrated by a so-called health professional who is spouting complete crap anyway.

Koru - that horrible snotty cold is doing the rounds. We still aren't completely over it all in this house, but at least no-one is running temperatures anymore.

AFU - Baz will refuse anything offered on a spoon. He is quite happy to eat anything he can hold himself, but not be fed by anyone else. grrrr. why did I get an independant baby :lol: So now I am scratching my head trying to figure out what 'healthy' substantive foods I can give him to feed himself - particularly when we are out and about.

megs - I've avoided the child health nurses this time around too! I figure anything they can tell me that I don't know I'd probably be seeing a Dr about or get it from another source (like BB).
issy - I agree with you about the co-sleeping/feeding thing. I've noticed M sleeps better if I hold her when feeding and then put her down, even if it is in our bed.

Things are good here. M is now in her second week of daycare and is slowly settling in. She is getting used to it and while she is a bit hard to settle and doesn't sleep for long she generally appears to be content. The carers are happy with her progress. Her sleeps have been shocking the last few nights. I try to dreamfeed her before I go to bed but haven't for the last few nights and as a result been up and down to her. Tonight I must do that feed. DS has been a bit unsettled the last few nights too, so if its not one calling out its the other. Hopefully today I can get a bit of rest while they are both at daycare.

Three weeks until I go back to work. Attended a work related course yesterday so made the trip into the City. Actually surprised myself that I was able to concentrate for so long. While I was out did a bit of shopping to get work clothes.

Anyway, might see about having a nap.

Girls, you are all too right about these nurses. I had it all with DD1 as a new mum and trusted them instead of myself and DD, this time around I know better! You are so right about these nurses and new mums Misty, I hate that too. Anyway, onwards and upwards :)

We are sick today blahhhhhh. Snotty cold like Orla has Koru, I feel your pain :( Although E seems quite happy, now I know why I felt so awful yesterday cause I feel even worse today! DH is off to the US and Canada for work next week though, so at least I should be over it before he goes, crossfingers.

I took D back to the GP this afternoon because he is still very chesty after his sickness last week. He has bronchiolitis (sp?) but there's nothing we can do for it but wait for it to pass. Bascially he needs to cough up all the stuff on his chest but doesn't know how to. He seems quite happy though, doesn't seem to be bothering him.

I haven't taken D to a MCH nurse, ever. Not once! Because he was in special care and then admitted back to hossy when he was 3 weeks old we've just always seen his paed.

Hey Willow, hope D is better soon.

Well, now my little Eli is sick - poor thing had a temp over night, and now has runny nose. He seems okay - not too grizzly considering!

thought I would pop in.....
I bought Eli some gro-bags today. This shop had buy one get one free!! At $90. a pop, a pretty good deal! I got one 1.0 tog & a 2.5 tog. I put him in the lighter one tonight with a long sleeve bodysuit (no legs). I think it'll take a lil bit of practice to learn exactly what suits the weather etc. There is a really helpful guide and temp chart that comes with the grobag too. I am happy about that purchase. Also, maybe my DS will stop crawling around quite so much at night:lol:. I am hoping that it will act as a cue for bedtime aswell. DS hasn't been swaddled since he was about 2 weeks old, cause he would just wake himself up to unwrap himself :doh:.
his cold is getting better and so is mine. Just plodding along.....my house is a tip though :shakehead::rolleyes: Never have the time, but have been sick too. Anyone else find it getting on top of them too?

Rach - pleased to hear that you and Eli are doing better. Nothing worse than a baby with a cold when you are feeling poorly yourself. Let us know how you go with the grobags. I didn't use them with DS. I think up here we don't really have extremes of weather but might be useful as a sleep cue.
Even though the kids are both in daycare now my house still looks like a bombsite. I am trying to keep on top of it but never quite get there.
Willow - how's D doing? M's had it too and yeah, nothing that can be done. Just watch for a temperature.
Koru - love the photo of Orla. She really does suit her name.

All going well here. M is settling into daycare well. Still doing shorter days 'cos I can. Only two weeks until I'm back at work :crying: Know I'll get into it once I start but atm I'm kinda dreading it.

OMG just had the funniest thing happen....
backgroud DS LOVES LOVES LOVES our cat. We are very careful when he pats her etc, cause we don't want any accidents. Anyway, she is very tolerant of ear pulling, fur grabbing etc. Well, at night she is locked in the laundry and can go outside but during the day whilst I can supervise we let her in the house, mostly she sleeps on our bed and doesn't move all day. I just put Eli down for a nap, he was still semi awake, I thought I'll check him in a minute. Next thing I hear this giggling - I am thinking she must be rubbing against his fingers or something. I run in to find him STANDING in his cot peering over at the cat (who is just lookingat him - like she so can't be bothered) who is still on the bed. He thinks he is pretty clever - cracking himself up :lol: NOTE to self, get a teether rail from baby bunting as Eli thinks the cot rail is for biting!
ETA - house is still a mess ;)
Saffi - here is hoping for a super smooth transition back to work. I could be the same soon too! We'll see....

Rach- is that the first time Eli has stood? Very clever boy!!! Both my kids love our dogs and the dogs are very tolerant of them in return. When M is really upset and screaming one of my dogs will actually sit by her as if trying to provide her some support/comfort.

House is still a mess too. But I have made a heap of appointments for the next few weeks for all the things I have been putting off for the last 7 months!

Hey Saffi - no he stands up a lot! Pulls himself up on the couch, chairs, his walker etc..... Just the first time in his cot! Why do children hate to have thier noses wiped??? I hate runny noses on kids!

Quick question - what, how much, and how often are your bub's eating solids.?

Saffi - lochie is now eating 3 times a day. Feeding is like this:
- 6:30-7am - bf
- 8am - breakfast, rice cereal or porridge with fruit
- 10-10:30am - bf
- 11:30am - lunch, veggie mash, also offer water.
- 1:30pm - bf
- 4-4:30 - bf
- 5:30 - dinner, veggie mash (sometimes with either chicken or fish) and custard or fruit for dessert.
- 6pm - bf, usually a short one
- 8:30 - big bf then bed.

Favourite food combos are:
- Potato, pumkin and creamed corn
- Fish, zucchini and sweet potato
- Carrot, zucchini and rice
- Chicken, and veg
- Broccoli, potato and pumkin (or carrot) with a tablespoon of gravy
- Banana and avocado
- Sweet potato and apple
- Custard
- Rice cereal with pear
- Porridge with banana

Basically its just a combination of veggies, with fish or chicken, we havent introduced red meat yet, he is getting plenty of iron from his rice cereal still, which we add to all dinners. We will be introducing tomato this week, with ratatouille and risotto. He eats about 4-5 tablespoons of food each meal time, with dessert as extra. Hope that helps....

Hey issy just a quick one: I am starting Eli on 3 times a day from tomorrow, cause he has been sick his intake has been a lot less - more BF! But, Eli only eats about 2 tablespoons of food in each sitting. Should I maybe reduce some BF. Usually, he is full by 2 tablespoons of vegie mash or rice cereal (hard to believe LOL as he is a chunky lad). Not sure what to do??? Anyone have suggestions too?

Rach - LOL at Eli and the cat. You know my DD1 was a cot gnawer to, we are using it for E (well when she is happy to sleep in it which is not very often :rolleyes:) and it still has teeth marks from DD1 on it LOL With the solids, if 2 tablespoons is all he wants then I'd just tend to go with that. I think they say about 4 tablespoons max, correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but I used to just give DD1 what she was prepared to eat and it was hardly ever that much and she was a great eater compared to E. As for E, well I'm lucky to get a teaspoon into her :rolleyes:

Saffi - We have only just started having some luck this weekend with solids. E has gone from not eating any at all to eating about a half a teaspoon to a teaspoon once a day. I try and offer some finger food at night too if we are eating something suitable for her, or a rusk, steamed veges, something like that - but mostly it doesn't get eaten.

Willow - Hope D is feeling better now. Bronchiolitis is what E has last month when she was sick too, and she took a while to get over it. My dr said there was nothing they could do for her :( if she got worse we were to go to hospy and they would put her on oxygen. Fortunately she didn't, but she still even now is having the occasional barky sounding cough.

AFU, well I'm feeling better now, cold only hung around for a few days which was not too bad. Like I said above though, the excitement this week has been a bit of progress with eating solids :dance: She was actually opening up for the spoon and not spitting it back out yay! It was still very slow going and she didn't want a lot to eat, but at least I feel like we have made some progress. I have been giving her yogurt and banana which she seems to like, but might have to try a few more things now I guess - hoping that she will like trying some other stuff now too :crossfingers: Hope I haven't jinxed myself LOL

Well it turns out DS1 has croup. We all likely have the virus (we have all had the same illness) but he is the only one so far to develop the breathing problems, although Baz did have a hacking cough the other night, but seems fine now.

If it is not one thing it's another. I think I'd better just resign myself to alway having at least one sick person in the house at all times. Sadly it always seems to be DS1.

Eli is a bit the same - took him to dr on sat $75 later!!! Anyway, we got him a vapouriser and it works really well (it was only $60. which I thought was great). Today he has a real barky/chesty cough but I think it is everything coming loose and getting better (at least I hope so!). I hope DS1 gets better very soon!

Megsmum - goodluck with solids sounds like things will pick up from here - fingers crossed!!

Misty - oh no for croup. I've come to accept that kids = sickness. So far this year DS and DD have been pretty healthy (touch wood).
Issy - thanks for the comprehensive outline of L's diet. You have got a good little eater there.
Megs - sounds like E's getting the hang of solids.
Rach - hope Eli gets better soon.

M is only having 2 meals of solids at the moment. Mostly its fruit/veg purees. She is such a gutz - she can eat a whole sachet of those Rafferty's Garden purees (120gr - don't know how many tablespoons that works out to). Tried her on some meat/veg mash but she gagged and carried on so we've gone back to fruit purees. Also started her on baby yoghurt which she isn't too sure about yet.

Feeding Advice - Child and Youth Health

Stage 2 - learning to chew

Soft lumps, about 7 to 8 months
Babies can manage thicker textures and soft lumps soon after starting solids. Once your baby can sit alone and make chewing movements he can be encouraged to bite and chew even if he does not have teeth.

What time to give them:
•Build up to three times a day. Towards the end of this stage you may like to give solids before milk and get into a routine of breakfast, lunch and tea.
•Milk is still very important though, and you may prefer to breastfeed (or give a bottle) when the baby first wakes in the morning or after a nap, then give solids in later meals.
•Bottle-fed babies usually have about 4 milk feeds a day at this age. This routine also suits some breastfeeding babies as part of gradual weaning, but others will like to breastfeed more often than this. This is fine as long as the baby is taking some solids. You can do what suits you and your family.

Foods to give:
•Baby cereals - rice cereal and other baby cereals. You can mix them with fruit or juice rather than milk to help iron absorption. Keep giving baby cereals most days in the first year to be sure your baby gets enough iron.
•Other cereal foods - rice, pasta, oatmeal, porridge, wheat flake biscuits (like Weetbix**), bread (eg rusks).
•Vegetables - all sorts, cooked and mashed into soft lumps.
•Fruits - as in Stage 1. Add others if you haven't yet tried them (eg peaches, apricots, mango, paw paw).
•Fish (eg tuna), meat, chicken - well cooked, moist and pureed to start with for a week or so, then finely minced (or frozen and grated).
•Milk foods - as in Stage 1. Also try grated cheese, cheese sauces, milk puddings (eg semolina), cottage and cream cheese.
•Egg - well cooked.

Texture :
Mashed (but moist) or soft lumps. Do not keep pureeing at this stage (except meat) as your baby may find it hard to learn to chew later. Don't be too alarmed if she gags a little at first, that is how she clears her throat. Just give small amounts of soft lumps until she gets used to them.

How much :
Two tablespoons to half a cup or more if your baby wants it. You can offer two courses - a savoury and a sweet, at some meals.

How to give:
•By now your baby will enjoy sitting in a high chair at family meals, though you may find it easier to feed her first, then give her tastes of what the family is having during the meal.
•Your baby is the only one who knows when she has had enough. It is important that she learns to control her own eating if she is to avoid problems with weight now or later - so do not push her to take more than she wants.

wow - issy - you are doing well with 3 meals. If I am being honest, I am lucky to feed baz solids once a day. sad I know. I just seem to forget. although I am trying to get in the habit of feeding him off my plate at dinner and having things like bread on hand for him to chew on during the day. Having said all that, his siblings are always 'sharing' food with him. yesterday it was a Jam Drop biscut...

I am starting to see why mum always said she had 'given' up on trying to be a 'good' parent by the time she had number 6 - there is just not enough hrs in the day sometimes.

Misty - Oh no, I'm sorry to hear DS1 has croup :( Hope he is on the mend soon, my DD1 has had it a number of times its no fun at all :hug: At least other the kids are sharing with Baz, look on the bright side ;)

Issy - Great info, thanks heaps for that! I wish I could get E to do half of it LOL Actually I'm wondering if I should try her on Weetbix, I have hesitated cause the old advice on it when DD1 was a bub was wait until 12 months to give it.

Looks like I spoke too soon the other day, E has gone back to not eating much today and yesterday. Oh well...LOL I tried some mashed peach and yogurt for a change of pace, so maybe she just didn't like it as much as the banana and yogurt. Sometimes I wonder if I am chopping and changing too much, but what do you do when you have a bub that is not really keen? Do you keep offering the same old thing if that is all they will eat? Advice and thoughts anyone? :)

Hi all! Sorry I have been slack and not posted in here for ages again :redface:. I've been reading along, just not getting time to post.

Alana is going great, she's crawling around everywhere and is starting to try and pull herself up on things :o. Today she pushed herself up to standing by holding onto a Duplo box, eek! She tries to walk when I hold her hands, but she's not quite co-ordinated enough to go very far yet LOL. She is such a happy and busy little girl, so much fun :D. Every night while I run her a bath she races over to the towel rail and pulls our towels off, then has to go and climb onto the scales :lol:. She also LOVES playing outside, she'd stay out there for hours if she could. She grabs grass and leaves and explores everywhere and gets very dirty! Oh, and she's been saying "Dad Dad" for a few weeks now, no sign of "Mum" yet :doh:.

She's on solids twice a day atm, usually pureed something or rice cereal. We haven't gotten too adventurous yet, I don't have the time, but really should... I haven't given her water yet either because she is breastfed and I don't think she really needs it? I can't remember! If anyone can tell me I'd be grateful :D

hi trish - just a quick one, no, babies who are breastfed do not NEED water between meals, but during meal times just helps with feeding, i find lochie eats more when he has water, i like to drink when i eat, so i do the same for him. Alana sounds just divine :)

Trish - I am also offering D water during the day and I often give him a sip of water at night to help settle him. He really likes it! I actually have to pull the cup away from him sometimes because he'd just guzzle it if I let him. For me it was more geting him to use his sippy cup because he has never taken a bottle well which makes it hard if I need to leave him with DH. I am careful not to offer it only after his b'feeds.

We are also up to 3 meals a day but he is not eating huge amounts. For breakfast he has baby porridge and fruit or occasionally EBM if I have some, lunch is usually some mashed vegies, fruit or pieces of fruit/veg or a rice cake with hommus or a touch of vegemite - he likes to suck on them and does quite well. Dinner is usually vegies, some meat and either rice of pasta mixed in.

How many bubs are crawling up on hands and knees besides Alana and Eli (??) D is 'crawling' as in he can shuffle himself around the room, gets up on his hands and knees and rocks but is not properly crawling. I am not 'worried' as such but he is a lot slower than my other two who were both well and truly crawling at this age.

Willow - M isn't crawling yet. She pulls herself along on her tummy and gets around amazing quickly. We've been saying for weeks she is days off crawling and yet we're still waiting.
Trish - Hi there! M is having water in the afternoons with her afternoon tea. She really just chews on the spout but she gets some in her mouth.
Megs - the "experts" say that it can take up to 10 times before a baby accepts a new food. If you are happy to offer her favourites and she is happy to eat it then keep going. You don't want to make solids a stressful time for her. Mind you at some point you do need to offer new foods and textures - something I'm still struggling with.
Misty - I think as a mum of 6 you'd have to be a good parent just keeping up with everything that needs to be done, the individual needs of each child etc.
Issy - thanks for the food info. Can see there is some things I need to start working on.

Nothing much happening here. DH is on leave so we have been having lunches out, going to the movies etc.

Willow - Lochie is comando crawling still, but just in the last week gets up on all fours and rocks, crawls a little then drops to his belly and slithers off...i suppose this is fastest for him at this stage. He has also been pulling himself up on things too, like furniture but I also find him at my feet alot, clinging onto my leg and pulling himself up, i must admit, its very cute. DS1 was also crawling at 7 months, and walking at 10 months, so im not sure there is much difference between them. Isaac never comando crawled before properly crawling at 7 months, whilst lochie has been getting around by himself since 6 months. They all do things in there own time i guess.

Saffi - just noticed your post...(it only took me half an hour to write this one!!!!), how nice for you to have dh home...you lucky thing, im green with envy!

Well Eli has cut his first top tooth and it is giving him a bit of strife - with being sick adn teething it has been a rough two weeks, but I think he is getting there. He still smiles! He is also crawling on his feet - with bum in the air :lol: pretty funny to watch. as for food we are only on about 2 solids a day, but today he attempted a third. He doesn't like water yet..... we'll get there soon I hope.

willow - I am sure D is just a cool cat, happy to take his time. Eli is just in a rush for some reason. I bet he will be crawling really soon.

megsmum - is there a particular food M enjoys? If so, I would stick with that for a bit and maybe add some other stuff to it later on. Does that sound doable. I am findong myself a little worried that Eli hasn't picked up the 3 feeds yet, but he just wants booby, although he has been sick and I think this is a factor......

Hi just popping in quickly to give a sign of life.....
Move itself went well - drama with cleaning up the old place - went on for DAYS! Now we can finally settle in to our new home :)
Orla is still wobbling on her hands and knees before dropping back to her belly - tho the slippery floorboards at the new house seem to aid her scooting about this way! We are only doing 2 'meals' a day as she is yet to drop off much BF - waiting for her que on this rather than removing a feed myself . We have fruit and millet cereal in the morning, something vege-related in the arvo. This has lead to a lot less frequent poo-ing although what an explosion when it does come :o (sorry if TMI!). She did a whopper just as we were about to call the landlord in for the final inspection - had to hose her down in the bath -of course the gas was already turned off so it was icey cold - oh the screams!!!! Then had to wash the bath all over again!

Hi everyone! Thanks for the advice on giving water. I tried her with some the other day and she seemed to like it, but I need to get her a better cup. So I'll be looking for one today.

Willow - Alana doesn't always crawl on hands and knees, she does a kind of body roll sometimes and if she's in a hurry to get something she'll commando over to it LOL! D sounds perfectly fine to me :). K didn't commando crawl until he was nearly 9 months and then didn't hands and knees crawl until he was 11.5 months!! It was a shock after having Joel who did everything quickly.

Issy - Thanks for your water advice :D. EEK @ your first DS walking at 10 months!!

AFU - Alana had her 6 months immunisations yesterday (slightly late LOL) which as always is awful. She got over it very quickly though. She's a little grumpy today which is what I would expect. She's such a little live wire, she's trying to climb everything. She climbs on top of her brothers if they're lying on the floor and steels DS1's toast LOL! I'm absolutely loving this age :). She repeats things with me, like blowing raspberries or saying "Dad Dad" after I say it, so cute! She's just the sweetest little bub and I'm totally in love with her (as I am with my boys of course heehee!).

Hi Mums and bubs,

Have again been missing in action, but most of you would probably have seen my thread about DH becoming me XH so I have been a little preoccupied. DH now wants to work it out but I've told him I won't even consider it until he has got help with his "issues" that stem back from his upbringing.

Z isn't crawling and doesn't even look like she will in the next 6 months lol She rolls around a fair bit. I can put her in the crawl position and she will rock a bit but then she just reaches out forward and scoots her legs out straight and usually face plants hahaa.

Food isn't huge here, but we're getting better. Not every morning but some, we try some rice cereal with puree fruit mixed in - not overly fussed on it. Lunch is normally something like toast soldier with avacodo or banana on it (thinking of trying tin creamed corn - opinions??) I normally give her sticks of a fruit like apple, rockmelon, watermelon or something, she has had a bit of dinner, tried chicken and love love loves her brocolli, cauliflower is ok, pumpkin isn't too bad - hates potato, will much on capsicum, carrots good too. All just steamed sticks.

She has been sooo cranky and miserable thinking teeth... still none here and her sleeping has gone down the tube again.

Sorry for no persies, hopefully I'll manage to get back onto that!

Willow - Baz has been crwling for ages and walks around the funiture now. He has been attempting to stand unsupported (ie, letting go of the funiture) with varying success, I think it won't be long before he is walking on his own. DD walked at 10mths, DS1 walked at 15mths.

we haven't offered Baz water yet, still just breastmilk or formula when I am not there. Having said that I have seen DS1 sharing his sippy cups (with water or very weak cordial) with Baz a fair bit along with whatever food is around. I have pretty much given up trying to stop his sibling sharing, I just make sure I keep an eye on them in regards to WHAT they are sharing (ie, no chocolate :lol: ).

Ellee - just wanted to say that I am sorry things have worked out the way they have for yourself. I hope you are coping with it all. huggs.

Lochie has cut two teeth! They must have come over night, i only checked yesterday and no sign...but today...there they are...just breaking the gum!
