Trace I think its a lovely idea. I can imagine how much your DH will appreciate it. The only thing I could possibly think of if they come out here too is that they would get to see the girls but if costs are a factor then naturally it would be better for your DH to go home. Arent you just the sweetest kindest thing.

As for great minds thinking alike...I'm making Josh the number 1 cake too! And I'm covering it with smarties and freckles! And I've got some candles that spell out his name. (Little individual coloured letters). I'm also going to make some of those little butterfly cakes - you know the ones where you cut a little piece out of the top & fill the hole with cream, then use the cut out piece to make little wings & dust them with icing sugar...I loved them when I was little! Yum!
Anyway, had better run & get a few things done before bed and work tomorrow...bye for now!

Brooke I am so sorry to hear about your family!. I actually took the plunge and called my SIL last night as I found out she was 8weeks pregnant ...so after not speaking with her since Jan17th ...I picked up the phone and called. Thankfully all went well. So hard with family as you know they are family but it does not mean you should not all treat each other with the same repect you would treat a bloody stranger!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you have a great day today and just remember you have a family ...four of you ....you guys are first....and we are you tag on family to hehehe.
Well yesterday I went and bought all the ingrediants and decorations for Kaitlyns Bday cake as mum and I are going to do a test run on Saturday....I see my mum and sis every sat but I am keeping this busy tihs weekend as I need to sew the curtains for Kaitlyns room and do a trial run on the cake which we will then devour at morning tea hehe. Also hired some chairs and a helleum tank for the ballons hehehe.

Girls I am sitting here with tears in my eyes....I dont want to be at work. Kaitlyn is sick ..she vomited at daycare ..but she seems ok so they wont send her home. But I feel like a horrible mum as I want to be with her looking after her ..not shipping her off to daycare.
Also sad I think as my SIL quite work to fall pregnant and will be at home until the new baby goes to school. I am really happy for her ...and am so glad she can do it but I wish Kaitlyn could have that to . Feel like a little child shouting how unfair it all is.
I want my baby....I want to be home with my baby.
Sorry girls ...just very sad today ......I hope all of you get to stay home forever!

Wow Storm you are nearly half way...whoohoooo...that ticker is just flying. We are starting to think about no 5 now..but while im tempted to just go ahead and see what happens Im worried about $$ and space. Arrrrgh. Part of me wants a little buddy for Sammy..but geez I dont know..excuse my rambling.
We had some friends over for dinner last night which was nice. Sammy was just in performance mode so was proudly showing off all of his walking and kicking at the same time. He can climb into his big red trolley when he wants a push now..its just too cute. Oh...and hes just learnt to hi 5. We say hi 5 and he lifts up his hand and hi 5s us...too clever!!! We had a lovely morning at rhyme time today. Its so funny as we have an entire group of boys so its nice for Sammy after normally being surrounded by girls!

Party was great fun, kids were stuffing their faces with chips and sausage rolls etc - oh well they don't do it every day! They did polish off the fruit platter too though. Cake looked good, although DH told me it looked a bit more like a '7'. Just a warning for those who are doing the same cake - make sure your bar tins are really long. Mine were a bit stumpy so I couldn't get the proper bottom of the '1' IYKWIM.
So tired have to have a rest while muffet is too.....
Tracey - Awesome present. And I know that his family would want to see you guys, but with a bit of the cash that you will be 'saving', I am sure they will be thankful for a few nice things from Oz, including vids and photos of all of you guys.

Still buggered - guess that's going to be my permanent state for a while now! Off to have 12 month vacs today :crying: I hate them! DH won't be home till late either (6.30ish - late for us!) so it will be a tough day, plus I don't have the car so have to walk into town again. Another 7km or so! Just going to be a bit more prepared with a snack for me and something sweet to drink to keep the energy up. Nice and sllllllllllllllloooooooowwwww

Vacs were ok, except for the initial ear-piercing cry. There were 3 of them! And here's my rant....you know what the nurse said "No one ever expects to get pregnant again when they only have a 3 month old" :angry: Lucky for her she said it before the vacs, I wanted her to be gentle with Lucie so I didn't cause too much of a scene. How rude!

Nice quiet weekend for us Jo, DH & Dyaln have gone away!! How wonderful, just the girls, Zac & I, only thing is he took my car, so we are left with his dumpy old work car, think we'll just stay home.te he he.
Last few weeks of hockey? Did they get into the finals? I miss footy......
Zaccie went great with his needles, nothing bad happened, it was like he didn't get them done, he sure loved his little circle bandaids though!!!!!

Whoohoo at just being the girls and Zac. Hope you get some nice time with them. Its amazing how just being down one child can make the dynamics so different isnt it. Jess is away at a bday sleepover and while Emmy has her friend sleeping over it still seems so quiet! Bugger at the work car though..at least its an excuse not to have to do much..enjoy!

It does make a huge difference missing one child,even though Dylan is usually out & about with his friends,they usually pop in & out of here for drinks or to play the ps2. It is so quiet, shame the weather is yuk here though we would have battled the work car & went for a picnic.

Well we have an injured child and they lost their game. Ball went flying and hit her in the arm..ahhhh..the joys. Sammys having a sleep and then we are hoping to go 4 wheel driving while its not raining. Hope the weather fines up for you Storm.

Forgot to say the Muffet weighs 8.9kg, so very nearly made my 9kg goal for 12 months! She is still pretty short at 73cm. The yucky nurse re-did the measurements thank goodness. The doc did them first in his room, but used adult scales and was about to record 10kg when I said that it was highly unlikely she had put on 1.5kg in a month:rolleyes: He also measured her height at 69.5cm, which would have meant she had shrunk .5cm in a month. Talk about inaccuracies!

My friend is here from Canada & her baby girl is 5 months old & we had her weighed & she is...... 8kgs! She looks so chubby & has huge bubble cheeka compare to Indah whom is about 9ish kgs!!!
Ok missy has been cuddly & grumpy all day & we have been out to BIL b'day now she's eating veggies & chatting happily!????

What's with my bubba?? She is refusing to sleep during the day!! I had her asleep in my arms after a booby fedd placed her in cot & usually she'd be out like a light, but nope screamed like a crazed maniac, so I got her out & cuddled in & fell asleep in my arms si put her in cot & again within seconds was a maniac... Have tried 2 more times in the last hour & nope she's just hysterical!!!!!

We have had a fantastic day today. Lots of lovely family time. We took the kids to feed the ducks this morning. Sammy was more intent on eating the bread instead of feeding it to them though! This arvo we went 4 wheel dving down the beach. It was such a blast. Sammy ended up eating so much sand funny little boy!

2 early mornings for us again :rolleyes: Yesterday at 4.30 and today just after 5am. After 5am I can handle. Urgh I hope it ends soon! Thing is Lucie's day sleeps have been awesome - at least an hour (more likely 1.5-2) both morning and afternoon. Do you think she could be sleeping too much during the day? It doesn't make any difference if we put her to bed a bit later though. I'm not sure....And it's not daylight here yet so that can't be it :help:
Off to clinic again today. Bub is moving like crazy! If it can hang in there for another 1.5 weeks I will be happy. I'm 37 weeks 6 days today - when I was induced with Lucie, so this will be the most pregnant I have been LOL. Hopefully going longer than I did with her will mean a bigger stronger bubba.

Indah slept for about an hour in the pram when we went to the shops (I bought her a Barney telephone) & she fell asleep hugging it!!!
Then we picked up maddy she had slept over at my sisters & then we went home & I baked about 60 mini quiches for Indah's birthday party, starting to get some finger foods into the freezer... Then the girls had a long soak in the bath together Indah goes nuts in the bath sliding all over putting her face in the water & squealing, she screams when you take her out though! Then she went to bed & cried a bit but soon fell asleep & woke at 7am this morning... so maybe it was just because I was home with her??? She wont go to Dh after work, she pushes him away & calls out 'Mum, Mum, Mum!!!!'
So maybe it is a seperationg thing? Although she's fine with my Mum & Sis...?
Dh is home today & they are gonna finish the front garden, then I'll get pic's & add them to the site!!!
OOOh... I panicked yesterday, Dh's sister sent an e-mail saying Mum & Dad (in Bali) are organising their stuff now & want to come to Aus late Oct!!!
Thank goodness I only have to keep the secret til next Sunday!!!!!
