Cass - I find it so comforting that someone has a glimpse of my feeding hastles, although I wouldn't wish them on anyone! The position you had Kaitlyn in, is actually the only way Lucie will feed. She screams like mad if you try and hold her the 'normal' way. I have a fairly low couch, so my knees are higher than my waist so she is still elevated. But she won't be able to lye like that much longer, she is getting to long (lucky to that I have long legs!). Really hope yoy get on top of this yucky skin thing. Oh and I reckon I'm having another girl, although I would love to have a boy!
Georgie - What sort of research do you do, smarty pants? Sounds like a great job to have with a bub.
Jo - I can't believe you can mow the lawn while he sleeps either - very clever!
Louise - So glad all the work and childcare is coming together for you. Must be such a relief.
Storm - Nah ended up being a terrible day. Munchkin only took 500ml all day which meant I had another melt down last night and then again this am when she only took 150ml. Gonna try and get a referral to see a paed down here.
-
Where is everyone?
Well a stinking hot day here so we have banished ourselves inside to the aircon. Lucie still not overly hungry but I'm trying to get over it! I think these teeth are really giving her grief, because if she has some Neurofen she seems to be ok (touch wood). But certainly don't want to do that for too long.
Anyway hope everyone is ok - obviously all a lot busier than me 8-[

Hi Soph ..I am here! . Have not had a chance to log on as we have been busy busy .
Yesterday we had mothers group , then straight off to my Brother inlaws 18th Bday lunch , then home for a quick nap and over to a friends for dinner. Then today we had an engagement all afternoon . Poor Kaitlyn she is such a trooper ..she is desperately trying to fall asleep now but she is really over tired so she is finding it hard. But she was so good when we were out I was really suprised I guess they are all just growing up!.
I tried Kaitlyn on Potato the other day and she has decided it is to boring hehe. I cooked up some apples today and I will give them to her tomorrow. Plus I bought some sweet potato so I will cook that up tomorrow and try her on that next week as well.
I know it is hard Soph but try not to worry to much as long as Lucie is still putting on weight and is happy I am sure there is nothing to stress about. But always best to check with Dr...but I know that is what my Dr tells me all the time. I told him I was worried as Kaitlyn was not putting on weight and he laughed and said not to worry as they slow down ..otherwise they would be the size of a house by the time they go to school...makes sense I guess. I think it is harder in a different way for us formula mums as we can see how much our babies are eating and therefore worry more when they dont consume the "required" amount. Kaitlyn has never consumed the amount she should and she is still 8.5 Kgs! .
With your second little one on the way at least if it is a girl you have all the clothes ready hehe.
I hope you are all having a great weekend ...it is a hot one here in Sydney!

Oh I am so tired I had a really r e a l l y bad toothache last night & I hardly slept at all, Bill thought he would do the nice thing & stay home from golf & feed Zac at 7. WELL Poor little Zac had a tanty, apparently he fussed with his bottle & did nothing but complain but when I got up he did nothing but laugh & play, so then who is a mumma's boy?he he he he
Makes me feel all gooey!!Only thing is, what's gonna happen when I have my op? :-k May have to wait some.
Hi Cass I don't think I've said hi to you yet(slap to me) My youngest DD is Kaitlyn such a beautiful name too!!
Soph chin up, Zac only weighs 7kg so Soph aint doing too bad, he hardly ever drinks a full 180 bottle, so the 420 was a real shocker, took me a while to figure out he was still hungry.. oops.!
You're doing your best with her feeding issues & a good job at that!!
I'm the same as you with giving them drugs , when zac is having a bad time teething I give him a cold washer I hate using bonjela, or nurofen I beleive they will get ammune to it & when it is needed for a fever or the such it just wont work.I also use those teethers that go in the fridge "awsome" & Bill brought him 1 of those gummy things great too.
Bugger Zac's awake
-
Hey girls
Thought I'd pop in and let you know that I'm pregnant again!Yep we are crazy!!Thanks for the babydust(it worked!)
-
wow, congratulations, is that 3 girls pregnant now?
My SIL had a baby girl this morning, 3.88kg and a 5hr labour, no name as yet.
-
OMG Kirsty that was so quick! Massive congrats!!!! We can be pg buddies too. And yes I think we are both mad  I guess that works out the job situation for you (I read your dilemma in Sept thread).
Storm - Didn't realise that Zac is usually a small eater too. The 420 must have been such a shock for you! Lucie did that once. She took 290ml in one sitting. I think she was just super tired and cranky though. Zac sounds like a real mummys boy. How sweet!
Cass - Yeah I know that's what everyone tells me too, but it is so hard, isn't it? This morning she only had 100ml and I was stressing, but DH said he wasn't worried and rightly that if I was BF I wouldn't know that she had 'only' had that much. Grrrrrrrrrrr I hate mls! Hope Kaitlyn gets some good sleep for you so you can get some yourself.
Louise - Big bubba! Let us know the name when you know it.
A very hot weekend here. Bring on the cold weather............
-
Thanks for the congrats girls!Yep we're both completely mad Soph!hehehe Yeh I don't think I would have taken the job anyway as our family is our priority at the moment.
-
You know with all this babydust floating around I am starting to get awful clucky again girls...hehe. I never thought I would feel this way but if I didnt have to go back to work ( as we want to sell our unit and buy a house) then I would be trying to fall pregnant again too !
Storm ..hello! I cant believe your youngest DD is a Kaitlyn as well !. And you will never guess what our boys name was going to be Zachary ! I love the name Zac.
Congrads Kirsty on your pregnancy !
Well we had a lovely day today . After such a big day yesterday we decided to chill at home .Kaitlyn had some puree apple for brekkie which she was not to sure about. Then at about 430pm ( as it was still SOOO hot!) we took Kaitlyn down to the beach for her first swim !!!. She was very unhappy about it at first but then she really enjoyed it. We were the typical parents standing in the water taking happy snaps hehe.
And you will never believe what Kaitlyn has started to do today ...suck her thumb!!!...help what should I do !. Should I try and stop her? any hints?.

Maria's new cousins name is Gabriel, it is amusing that she is only 300grams of being twice the weight that Maria was at birth.
-
Morning all!
Louise - Nothing wrong with pocket rockets I say! Just look how much Maria has grown now!
Cass - How lovely going to the beach. Lucie just loves swimming. DH takes her right out in the ocean and we are currently living at the school with a big pool, so we take her at least twice a week. A real water baby! When are you planning on going back to work.
Kirsty - I am just sooooo excited about you being pg! Hopefully I will be 2 weeks or so late, and you will be 2 weeks early and we can both have October bubs. How's that for a plan?
Well Lucie is cutting another tooth. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. The other one down the bottom is definately through, put hasn't come right up. Now it's the one next to it that is about to come through. Wish they'd just hurry up! She's still only taking 140-150 a feed. Oh well, what can I do I guess?
She also has this bump behind her ear that she has had since Xmas time. 2 doctors thought it was a lymph node, but our new one in Lismore think it might just be a bit of extra bone/cartlidge growth. She's keeping an eye on it and has measured it - we may need to go for an ultrasound sounds on it. So now I keep having nightmares that she has a brain tumour. Going to the docs next week, so I might see if we can get the scan done just to make sure it is nothing sinister.
Well it's so hot in this room - gotta move into the aircon. Hope you are all well!
Jo - Are you ok? Haven't heard from you in a few days.
-
Ah a cool day......
Congratulations Kirsty!!!!
Ohh cass, the beach! Zac loved the beach. I sat where the waves come up & he would wait for them to wash over his feet, when they didn't make it he would go stiff & his little face would go red!!
Soph, I hope everything it o.k with Lucie. I'm sure it will be, I'd be getting it checked asap too, just incase. Wow at Lucie drinking 140 - 150mls, that's how much Zac usually has, I was always happy with that :-k I guess they know how much they need, otherwise they would either complain or drink more!
I nearly got run over by a madman this morning! My ???> idiotic neighbour for some reason is fighting with another neighbour so he has to take it out on me? L o s e r . . . . . . unfortunately for him Bill's gonna give him the what for, I had Zac in the pram GGRRRRR. :fuming: X1000
My little boy has a tooth!! \:D/ it popped up yesterday!!!
Still ](*,) with TTC, I'm having 40 day cycles atm ](*,)
Better go & do some housework  does it ever end?
-
Hello ladies
Phew..you guys have been chatty. Soph..thanks for asking about me hon..Im fine..just had a busy weekend with very little spare time! Wow at another tooth too...hope it doesnt cause too much grief. Sammy has one lump up and the last two nights he has been a shocker..up 5 times each :boggle: We took the kids to school and he was so grumpy when we got home..he wanted to go straight back to sleep..so thats where he is now..poor munchkin. Thats so great that Lucie loves swimming..its nice isnt it. Sammy is the same. Does Lucie have a lil floatie thing she goes in? Sammy gets all excited when he sees water and leans towards it..its very cute. Hope the lump is nothing too..when is your next appt?
Kirsty...whooohhoooo hon..wtg...CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is so fantastic. You must be as pleased as anything. When is bubby due and what will be the gap with your littleuns. Wow..all these pregnant mummas \:D/
StormYa gotta know with all this babydust flying around..you gonna get hit soon..hehe. Even with 40 day cycles. I havent got AF back yet..its so great. I normally get it when bubby is 12 months. I consider myself very blessed. :fuming: :fuming: at the mad neighbour...poor little Zac..bet it gave you a fright. Whooo hooo on the tooth too..wtg Zac. Hope your tooth is ok now..is that what your op is for?
Louise..congrats hon on your new lil niece..what a pretty name. Thats a great size too. Is Maria still doing well at daycare?
Cass sounds like youve been busy too. Kaitlyns doing a grreat job. Its nice to have chill out days after such busy ones isnt it. I did so much running around over the weekend..I make Mondays be my home day to catch up on all the housework..other wise it just seems to take forever to catch up. That is so cute Kaitlyn is sucking her thumb! Olivia was(is) a thumb sucker and its always been such a fantastic comfort to her. Sammy has a dummy and i was so hoping he would suck his thumb but he seemed to get so frustrated with his attempts that he prefered the dummy being popped straight in. I know there are conflicting ideas floating around but being a former thumbsucker myself and having a child who is a thumbsucker..i can honestly say we had no probs whatsoever...sometimes chilluns just need that extra bit of soothing that a thumb (or other comfort) can offer.
Well we had two a party Sat arvo..dinner Sat night and day to Adventure world yesterday in Perth. The kids are absolutely knackered and were really hard to get motivated to get up for school today. Me thinks will be very early night tonight. Sammy had a ball though..he did so much swimming..he just loved it. Being surrounded by all the extended family and doted on..what more could a lil bubs ask for.
Anyway better go and get a wriggle on and get some things done before the lil fella wakes up
Jo
-
Oh Storm I would be really peed with the neighbour too. Grrrrrrrr. Yay for Zac's tooth! So how many feeds a day does Zac have? You don't know how reassuring it is to hear other bubbas who have small appetites! Good luck with the TTC too.
Jo - Hope Sammy settles down a bit for you. He just sounds like such a delight though! Lucie has been grizzling heaps during the night too. I get up, give her a pat and she seems ok. Yeap Lucie has a Zogg floatie thing which she loves. It's good too because I put the flippers on and hold her in it lick a kickboard and do a few laps. It's hard work! Appt is next Wednesday, so will let you know how it goes.
Ok gonna take munchkin outside for some fresh air before DH gets home in 15 minutes and we go for a swim.
-
Soph Zac only has 4 or 5 on a good day I think that's normal.Well I hope it is....
Hi Jo great to hear from you!! Por Sammy I hope he gets some teethies soon.
 Um no the op isn't for my tooth, it's ah well err..........., will have to be put off for a year or so .
Hi to all!! have to go & sort out this crazy neighbour with Bill now :fuming:
-
Goodluck to Bill with the crazy neighbour Storm!!!
Soph hope you enjoyed your swim..sounds heavenly right now..cos its hot!!! Sammy is still having a very sensitive day. He is very sooky..want lots of booby and has just gone back to bed. I hope its teeth and nothing else.
Jo
-
Hi Girls
Soph I am planning to go back to work in Sept after Kaitlyns 1st bday , but I am only going back three days which will be nice. I am not sure what I will end up doing as the job I left is a fulltime one and I would NEVER be able to do it in three days ..maybe I will do a more project type role which will be fun!. I cant believe Lucie is getting another tooth!! I hope the bump behing her ear is nothing it is so hard not to worry about it when they have these little things.
And a tooth for Zac as well! . Storm I hope you sorted out your neighbour!
Thanks Jo I guess I should be happy as long as she is happy ...thumb and all !. My sister was a thumb sucker and I was a two finger sucker  .
Kaitlyn and I had a nice day today . Went and had a new forward facing car seat installed so she is out of her capsule now!. The look on her face when she had her first drive ...PRICELESS!...she just looked stunned haha.
Then she spent the rest of the day making me hold her in the standing position, thrusting herself from sitting position on the lounge to standing position on floor ( with my assistance of course) then trying to do the same to get out of her highchair and also her bath chair ..arghhh . Was cute on the lounge ...
Cass
-
PMSL Cass...lol. It sure is a priceless look isnt it. Sammy just looked stunned. One day he was facing the back..next time he could see mummy and daddy in the front! Gotta love the standing ;)
Jo
-
Hey girls
Thanks again for all the congrats!Yep we're pretty stoked!
Soph-2 weeks early sounds great! At the end with Gem I was as big as a house!!
Jo-I'm due around 1st november.That means bubs will be 14 months apart!eekkk!
-
Ok Kirsty that's a plan then, and we'll both be in Babies Born in October 2006! I want a bigger baby and you want a smaller one - very funny!
Jo - Swim was great, Lucie was sooooo tired though. She drank 200ml and then was too tired for me to give her solids (rubbing her eyes like crazy which is very fun when pumpkin is involved!)
Cass - Wow I bet Kaitlyn loves that! Can't wait to put ours in. We bought one the other day on sale at Big W for only $114! Going to wait till munchkin is a bit bigger though. Re going back to work - Project work would be great and more flexible too I guess if you are considering TTC #2.
Storm - Hope you sorted out that neighbour. Lucie only has 4 bottles a day, I honestly don't know how I could fit in a 5th now without it being a dreamfeed like it used to be.
Eating so much junk food at the moment. Gotta stop. Don't want to put on as much weight as I did with Lucie - I went from a very fit and very thin 60kg to a whopping 99kg!!!!!!!
-
Oh wow Kirsty...what a great gap lol. My brother and I were 14 months apart. ;)
Soph the eye rubbing is so cute isnt it. Hope she slept well for you.
Ive just come back from a teacher meeting with Livvys class. We havent got the teacher with personality thats for sure. :-k Sammy has gone back down for a sleep. He had another bad night ..poor darling. The hot weather certainly doesnt help but i think its his teeth giving him grief..poor baby.
Jo
-
Oh Jo poor Livvy. Makes it so hard when they get a dud teacher I think. Hope Sammy has a better night tonight too. Lucie had another shocker. She seems to wake frequently until about midnight when she sleeps till 5am or 6am-ish. But from bedtime (7.30pm) until midnight she wakes about every 45 mins/hour with a little grizzle. Goes back down fairly easy though. Has Sammy's tooth cut through yet?
-
Awww Soph sounds like a similar sort of night to us...poor babies. No tooth come up yet..he just has a hard lump. :-k
Jo
-
Hi Girls ,
I hope all the little teething buddies are going well tonight.
Soph I hear you on the weigh gain! I was soooo healthy and kept doing my 1 hour walk a day until I was about 7months pregnant ..so I was all belly and did not put weigh on anywhere else....Then I started to feel BIG and believe me ...my belly was ...so I had to stop walking at 7months...then at 8months I rediscovered Maccas .....bad move bad bad bad. hahaha...thankfully I now walk for at least an hour pretty much everyday again. I LOVE exercising ..sick I know ..but I do ...so I am trying to make sure Kaitlyn loves being out so I can always be active.
Well onto my little one ...I am having a dilema ..to wrap or not to wrap. Kaitlyn LOVES being wrapped but I am feeling pressure to get her out of the wrap . I am trying to wrap her with only one arm out and she is not liking it at all .Tonight she settled better then last night , but I keep walking in and she is there screaming and waving her dummy around in her hand  I feel like such a bad mum as I know if I wrapped her she would snuggle up and fall asleep easy . What do I do !. Do babies let you know when THEY are ready not to be wrapped?
I am just having one of those days ...poor baby is not liking ANY of the solids I am offering her at the moment and I am trying to get her unwrapped so I feel a bit blah .
But on a brighter note ...had Gymbaroo today and once again Kaitlyn had a ball!. But did not sleep a long sleep this afternoon like she normally does after Gymbaroo as she had one arm out of wrap !
Cass
-
Awww Cass...a dilemma! I cant really help you there. We stopped wrapping Sammy a while ago..around 11 weeks. I guess you have to weigh it all up...if she still prefers it i guess shes letting you know its fine for her. I think as they get more mobile she will stick her little arms out all by herself!
Jo
-
Oh Cass can't help you on the wrapping - Lucie has never really liked it so we switched to sleeping bags very early. As for solids though - having the same problem with Lucie at the moment so I am not sure whether I should just stop for a few days and then start again? I might post in the solids forum. I love exercising too and used to be such a gym junkie. I actually used to look like a bit of a muscle woman!
Jo - Hope you got a bit of a better night last night. Lucie had a really good night actually. I think I got up only once or twice. Had shocking nightmares though myself which then kept me up!
-
Cass,
If she sleeps being wrapped then I persobnally would wrap her, there's NO rules that say not to wrap...
When INdah's sleeping bag is in wash & not yet dry, I wrap her, or else she wakes up & screams coz she is cold or whatever!!!
But in sleeping bag she is fine, without being wrapped...
My friend wrapped her daughtertil she was about 16 months old... It was THE ONLY way she would sleep at night.....
Good Luck
-
Another exhausting night...sigh. Sammys in great spirits though...he just doesnt want to settle....and has a temp..poor fella. Sammy doesnt tend to like alot of food with a spoon but he devours finger food. He can eat toast with vegemite and leave very little left..he just mushes and swallows. He loves banana, apple broccoli, avacodo..funny boy!
Soph...you poor dear..go away nightmares!
Tracey..so cute about Indah's tooth( i read in the other thread)
Jo
-
Jo - Poor Sammy. Have you given him something for the temp? I tried Lucie with a bit of toast this am and she seemed to prefer to feed herself too, although I am not sure how much she really ate! Do you cut the crusts off?
Tracey - Yay for Indah's tooth!
Lucie and I had a great time this morning. We were both crawling around the lounge room and she was chasing me. She thought it was hilarious!
-
Soph I have given him so panadol...hes asleep at the moment. Sometimes I cut the crusts off and sometimes I dont. He gets all excited when i pass him toast..lol. Soph...is Lucie crawling????
Jo
-
Hello fletchie so nice of you to pop in! Sounds like little Zane is doing wonderfully to me. Sammy isnt crawling either lol..not even slightly moving. He does roll but much prefers sitting. Sammy is on 3 meals a day and geez however many breastfeeds!!! Um hes eating rice cereal and toast in the morning...vegies at lunchtime and mushed fruit in the evening. Hes getting very capable and lumps dont seem to bother him much anymore. Cyber hugs to lil Zane from his buddy Sammy.
Girls I forgot to mention last night Sammy started babbling. Last night it was ni ni ni and nan nan na and this morning with a toy in his mouth it was bub bub bub...its very cute  O I love their noises so much!
Jo
-
Yeap Jo, she has been for a few weeks now. It's very cute. It's not always up on her knees totally but she moves her legs up and kinda commando crawls everywhere and is getting very fast at it too! Can't leave her alone for very long at all and everything has had to come off the floor. And when she isn't crawling she rolls everywhere.
How cute with Sammy babbling. I must say I am enjoying Lucie a heap more (is that ok to say?) now that she does stuff back, heaps better than the early weeks when they just sleep and eat (or not!).
Hi Fletch! I miss ya matey! Yeap Lucie is crawling and has a tooth. But she's not very good at sitting and falls over pretty quickly. She still is a sparrow with the food - lucky to take 700ml a day, usually more around 600ml these days. I try and give her solids for dinner and breakfast but only after her bottle, otherwise I have no hope with the bottle. She isn't overly keen on those either! And I totally wouldn't worry about Zane. They really are all different. Lucie is just a tiny pocket rocket and still doesn't want to eat so I that always drives me nuts comparing other bubs too! I just reckon you can't really compare because they will do things when they are good and ready and not before.
I kinda wish Lucie wasn't so mobile because it worries me that she might walk early too. And with #2 due in September I'd rather she wasn't running around by then, but I think that will be impossible!
-
OOOOOOOOOOH the noises are tremendous hey!!!!
Indah cries & babbles 'Mmamamamamamaaaa"
I love it, almost wants me to make her cry... hee hee :smt016
She also gets up on her knees & pushes herself foward...
They are so different, Maddy was walking at 10months, but didnt have any teeth yet, Indah does & is only 5months!
I just want to roll all over the floor & bed with her when I get home from work, I miss her so much!!!!
Soph, ofcourse it is normal to say that you enjoy the interaction now with Lucie more......
Ok almost home time yay!!!!!!!!!
-
Hi Girls ,
thanks for all your replies on the wrapping ..oh to wrap or not to wrap hehe.
I love their noises too...Kaitlyn does these playful squealing kind of thing ..which by the way she is doing right now at 830pm when she should be sleeping in there!. And when she is tired she does this half squeal half sigh kind of thing ...hehe cute!
Its so amazing how they all develop at such different rates. Kaitlyn is not crawling , she can roll back to tummy but as she hates being on her tummy she does not do that much , she only once rolled back to tummy and thumped her head on the floorboards so she has not done that again, no teeth , but wants to stand ALL DAY!. ...oh yeah cant sit up yet either. She was SO advanced as a newborn ...holding head and following objects , now she seems to have relaxed and is taking her time :o
Better run ...the fun chatter/squealing in the bedroom has turned to a cry and I have a cat sitting staring at me wanting me to get the laptop of my lap and let him on!! haha
Cass

So much to catch up on after a horrid busy week....I just dont have time to work, theres too much else to do!
Soph, first, an apology....I have just re-read what I posted last week about feeding, trying to be rah-rah and encouraging, and it just sounded so trite. Im really sorry, I was trying to be sympathetic and having some minor feeding probs myslef thought it would come out better. Im sorry it sounded so dismissive, not at all my intention.....note to self: read posts before submitting!!
LOL at Lucie rubbing her eyes while eating. James does the same and we almost need to hose him down. He ends up looking like a little rembrandt with pumpkin eyebrows, little mo and beard... Have to say I also am enjoying James more every day now that he's so interactive. Esp when he holds his arms out to be picked up, love that.
Congrats Kirsty on being pg, but I have to say 14 months is pretty close!! DH and I had a Talk about this tonight, I think he's in your and Soph's camp and we'd be trying now if it was up to him! Dont feel like Im quite ready just yet....
Storm, what happened with the crazy neighbour??? And its ace that Zac has a tooth, and Lucie too! Both of James bottom two came up togehter, just appeared one morning after about 30 mins of crying. The others, though, are making more trouble...
Cass, on the wrapping - curious about the pressure not to? I know 12 month olds that are still wrapped. We have gone back to wrapping James during the day sleeps, because they started to at childcare. He would startle when the other babies woke and wake himslef up. He goes down so much better when he cant wave his arms around and pull his dummy out to look at it. If wrapping suits Kaitlyn, I dont see any problmes with that, I reckon you do whats best for her and you. Like most baby things, everyone has an opinion!!
Jo, good to hear that Sammy is getting into the finger foods. Im taking things pretty slow with James (had chicken tonight, went down well), but it makes me confident to give finger foods a go with him. Sounds like Sammy has an interesting palate though!
After the two weeks from hell, James woke up on Sunday morning and it was like a fever had broken, so happy. Feeding problems gone, tummy problems gone (3 huuuggeee poos on Saturday, go prunes, go prunes!!). Sleeping really well and mostly through the night again. Phew. We had our 6 months check on Monday, 7.3 kgs, so going up, yay. Now all the other issues are sorted, we can manage the teething better and everyone's happy. On to three meals a day, and have even dropped a bf. Didnt think it would happen so quickly, shame its not the 530 am or the 1030 pm one!
Anyway, enough. Have a good night everyone.
Georgie
-
Fletchie..course you can come and play lol. We love having you and Zane in our thread..and given that our bubbies are only a couple of days apart i think its great! Zane is just a perfect lil guy and wow a fantastic sleeper..i need to get him to give Sammy a pep talk ;)
Soph wow I had no idea Lucie was mobile What a clever lil pumpkin! She knows she is gonna be a big sister eh..shes trying to make it obvious..as in me not baby..lol. I know exactly what you mean about enjoying our littleuns more now that they are so much more intereactive. It just is so much fun isnt it.
Tracey the babbling is gorgeous isnt it...it sounds so cute. I pretend with the girls like he is really saying things..lol. They think hes amazing (of course he is!!!)I do love those first words too though that are actually connected to people and things...theres so much to look forward to.
Cass it is funny how they all develop so differently isnt it. Although they all catch up in the end. I used to freak out with Olivia after having Em and Jess crawling at 7 months, walking at 12 to Olivia crawling at 12 months and walking at 17. I completely freaked out though I shouldnt have. She was just learning in her own way...and given that she was reading before she went to preschool i think her brain was just taking everything all in!!! Ouchies at the thump on the floorboards..lol...poor darling..it would probably put me off rolling too. Sammy banged his head the other day too..i felt so awful.
Georgie I am so glad to hear that your horrid two weeks are over and the feeding and tummy probs are finished. Hes going great guns isnt he..clever lil fella.
Well we had a birthday party this arvo which was fun. Poor Sammy isnt feeling well though. He has a temp and while he is in good spirits he is still not himself. I hope hes feeling better tomorrow..there is nothing worse than a sick bubba.
Jo
-
:( Think I have a throat infection, but have to go in to work today & then this arvo parent teacher meeting!!!!
Fletch, you duffa, you can play with whoever, whenever you like!!!
Try not to get stuck in judging & comparing Zane to others though, because ALL Bubbas are different...
Maddy & Indah are different & I hope I dont judge Indah or compare her to Maddy...
So try not to worry, plus he is the youngest too, so pop in here (not my thread either BTW!) hee hee!
second tooth is cutting through now too... But Indah seems fine with it... so far!!! Ok gotta go get Maddy ready for school & then off to work! :fuming:
-
Oh how lovely a heap of posts to read this morning yay!!!!
Cass - Kaitlyn might be one of those bubs that goes straight to walking and skips the crawling part. How cute that she loves standing!
Georgie - Don't be silly, I didn't think anything bad at all re your post! Glad James is getting all sorted again for you - wow 3 poohs in 1 day!!!!
Kate - Yeap it's public knowledge now that #2 is coming. How are you feeling? I still forget sometimes that I am pg! Must admit I am A LOT more relaxed about this pg than with Lucie. I was so stressed out with her after the m/c.
Fletch - I love having you in here - please stay!!!! And yeah I know I desperately need to update Lucie's site. Will take some more photos and get them developed. They take forever to get them put on a CD in Lismore though, not like 1 hour in Brisbane! Oh we need a digital camera. It's fantastic that Zane is such a good sleeper, I totally wouldn't worry about him. He'll probably walk without crawling too. A friend has a boy who is 9.5 months and doesn't crawl or walk. Just sits there! And not really that long till you TTC #2 - yippeee!
Jo - Yeap she is very mobile. Now when I am on the computer, I have to put her up the other end of teh room (a long sunroom) and run to the computer and then say 'Come and get me'. She crawls straight up to me and thinks it's hilarious. Then she tries to switch the hard drive off :-k
How is Sammy today? Any better?
Tracey - Hope your throat clears up quick smart and you are feeling better soon.
Oh well better shower I guess..........

Awww Soph , how cute.!! Lucie sounds like a treasure, I can't beleive she is crawling!! How far along are you now?
Hi Fletchie & Zane great to have you here!!!, Zane is sitting? WOW!!
Zac is with Zane exactly with the sleeping routine, but sometimes his arvo nap is a 2 hrs one as well, which is a bit of a bummer coz he misses out on his shower with daddy & has to have a bath.
Georgie HI!! Glad to here that the prunes were a go & everything has settled. As for my neighbour, well... norty norty Bill, is all I can say.He wont be doing that again!!
Cass Hello, re wrapping, Zac is still wrapped, not arms in though, he never liked that from birth, but if he wasn't wrapped he still sleeps fine, but he kicks off any covers I put on, so the wrap stays for however long it needs to, atm it's a large muslin, in winter I guess I'll either change to a sleeping bag, or use one of the cot blankets.
Hello JoSammy is eating toast eh? What a clever boy, I'm too scared to give Zac any, although he has a crust & devoured it & now has lumpy food perhaps I should be brave.
I'm just getting lost here so HELLO to everybody.
Everyone here is wiped out with the flu, Zac too  He hardly fed at all yesterday nor drink any fluids, not a great combination with a temp, so when He did have some bottle I added 15mls extra water to it.He seems ok today but I feel like my head has doubled in size.
Zac got another tooth on Tuesday!!!
Going to go & pop some more panadol & have a lie down, talk soon..........

Storm - Poor Zac. Hope he perks up today for you. How many teeth does he have now? I'm 11.5 weeks along and time is flying! Itr's funny, with Lucie I soooo wanted a bump, but not this time! It will just make things difficult with Lucie.
Anyway Fletch spurred me into action and there are 7 new photos on Lucie's site if you want to check them out.
