Well just logging on to quickley see your girls advice on the DR. She is still a little out of sorts and runnny this morning so I may just pop up there ...I can do the grocery shopping while our name is in the queue hehe. Soph I have done your formula thingo and reduced the amount of scoops ....and yesterday we pretty much just had rice cereal and vegemite toast ..she is not ver hungry :-(

Well better run and get these bottles done and put some makeup on before I head to the shops ...dont want to give anyone a heart attack hehehehe.

Well ive spent the morning shopping ...love retail therapy..makes the world a better place! Gotta a little trike for Sammy..the eurotrike i think its called from toy word. I can strap him in and push it...ive been trying it out around the house and he loves it. Cant wait to go for a big walk with him in it tomorrow. Was sad though cos at the shops there was a mum who was quite clearly frazzled with a fairly new bubs but she was dishing it out to her toddler ...i felt so sorry for the little boy. Everyone just looked at her.

Jo, sounds like a good morning! The trike sounds great - Sammy will love hooning around on it! Poor little boy at the shops though. :( I hate seeing stuff like that.

Soph, Josh has 3 day bottles and a 10.00pm dreamfeed. He used to have bottles early morning, mid morning, early afternoon, late afternoon + his dreamfeed. Then he started refusing his mid morning bottle, so we dropped it altogether and shifted his day feeds to the standard breakfast, lunch & dinner times. He has morning and afternoon tea snacks & juice in between. He goes much better now. He drinks more formula per feed and has a good amount of solids after his formula. I think your plan sounds good. Lucie will let you know if she likes it or not, anyway! I hope you both get heaps of sleep tonight too...

Cass, how did you & Kaitlyn go at the docs? I hope they were able to help her out, poor little poppet. Hope she is feeling better and finding her appetite again soon.

Brooke, glad to hear that your appointment with the paed went well. What a relief for you. BTW, I'll keep everything crossed for a BFP for you this month!

Tracey, 5 condoms! Go you! Bring on the TTC! Can I just say also, Tracey, that I read your posts in here + your ones in the premmie forum and others, and I think you just have the most refreshing attitude when it comes to your outlook on life and the advice that you give - so positive. :)

We've had a nice day - pretty quiet. DH had the day off work. I bought some bubble blowers the other day so we've been out in the back yard blowing lots of bubbles. Josh loves to watch them and the dogs love to chase them - everyone's happy! We've had a couple more good nights sleep here...Tuesday night, one wake up and back to sleep until 6am...and last night he slept through until 6am! Yay! Not sure if it's going to last, so I'm making the most of it...

Hi, its been ages since I have posted, we had to go to Tamworth for a funeral and only got back late Tuesday night.

Soph - congratulations on the house buying. Hope Lucies thrush has cleared up.

Storm - I use baby balsam on Maria + I use a vaporiser, it has worked wonders for all of us (Maria is still in our room - grrr), but I am worried that the room is too damp suring the day.

Barley - I would have used the same language if Maria was hosed down - what an idiot. Re sleeping, if wrapping works, keep doing it. Maria won't sleep properly if I put her in a sleeping bag, I am kicking myself for paying for the expensive one as well. Hope Indah is feeling better and you have had some sleep. It is soo hard to work when you are sleep deprived.

Cass - the pizza scrolls sounded lovely, pity I had to miss the class. Hope Kaitlyn is feeling better.

Brooke - hope you have kicked the gastro fairy out of your house, sounds like it was sent to Cass's place. Good luck with the TTC.

Bec - your dinner out and the bubble blowing sounds lovely. Will have to try the bubbles with Maria.

Maria has had another growth spurt, now 7.2kg clothed. We got to play with puppies today, we were at the Bondi shopping centre pet store when they were about to let the dogs out for a run, they girls let us stay in the store and play with the puppies instead of asking us to leave, Maria loved it.

Small problem with solids though (hopefully not TMI), every time I put her in her high chair she thinks it's time to do a poo, thus won't eat, making feeding time a very long affair, very frustrating.

Well we are of to the zoo on the weekend, and maybe Monday afternoon as well (have zoo tickets from work).

How you doing Storm? Hope all is going chipper!

Indah was asleep when I got to Mum's so I left her there & she slept from 2:30 til 6:30, then was a happy little vegemite...
Mum & Dad had her yesterday & had to take her with them to Dr's etc, Mum's ankle is still not much better, she broke her foot when I was on maternity leave & it's just not healing... So she had more scans etc & they took Indah whom entertained the dr's! Dad had to see a specialist for his MS, they have suggested having chemo 4 times a year, which he is kind of scared, worried & concerned about.... So he isnt sure that's what he wants to do, there seem to be a lot of side effects!
So poor bubba got dragged here & there so was pooped in arvo...
She slept Ok last night woke at 3:30am & Dh couldnt resettle her so he woke me & put her in bed so I just fed her & popped her back in her room... I hope to have a bit of a rest this w/end... She is still full of snot & phlegm too, she is proper crawling & started trying to pull herself up now...
She gets weighed next Wednesday & I think she is so chubby/pudgy at the moment, but will have a spurt & be tall all of a sudden...
Ok gonna go swoosh around & check a few other threads out before working!!!

Soph - are you able to sleep when Lucie sleeps during the day, a nap is the only thing keeping me sane when Maria is overly active in the night, stuff the housework.

Barley - hope Indah's snot and phlegm clear up, Maria still has lots as well and sounds terrible in the mornings when she wakes up. Best wishes for your parents, hope they are better soon.

Louise - Yeap I usually do, I am cranky myself if I don't! #2 is kicking up a storm though so it makes it difficult sometimes.

Tracey - Hope your mum's ankle gets better. Sorry I didn't realise your dad has MS. I am sure Indah was a total charmer yesterday!

:dance: Lucie now weighs 8kg!!!!! Can't believe she managed to put on 400g in a month when she was so sick for over a week. Still only little but she's moving the right way!

Trace I think you deserve a nice relaxing weekend. Baking sounds fantastic. Sorry your dad is facing chemo right now. I hope all goes well for him..it must be a very daunting process ahead. I hope Indah starts feeling better soon..poor little snuffly missy.

Soph you are amazing. I keep forgetting you are so pregnant and Im tired with Sammy! I cant imagine how you must be feeling. You poor thing. I hope you get to chill out a bit and rest..and your dh comes and treats you like a queen when he gets back.

We had a lovely morning today. I met up with a friend and the little girl she looks after. We took Sammy for a big ride on his trike and then went to the park. It was sooo busy. There was a mums group there with lots of kiddies so it was nice. Is everyone in a new mums group? Im starting to feel like I must be the only one not in one....maybe there needs to be groups for not new mums lol.

Hi Girls ,

just a quick one as Kaitlyn and i are both ill now!!!! I have spent the whole day wanting to vomit and poor Kaitlyn is the other end!. And tomorrow DH and I are meant to be horse riding int he morning and then going to Nicks Seafood at Bondi for a romantic lunch together !! the idea of the lobster I planned to have is making me want to vomit!!!.

Dr said just to wait it out until Kaitlyn gets better...dont feel very confident in her advice as I am sure she was about 20!!!!!!!!. I have dont what you do Soph and weaken her formula strength. Though we did weight Kaitlyn and she is 10kgs on the dot!!!! she is so tall ...she does not have little fat rolls anymore :-(....man i think she is going to tower over me!. Ok off to bed as Kaitlyn is keeping me up due to her tummy pains :-(

Oh Cass you poor thing. I really hope both of you are better soon. It seems to last forever! Doc told me when the diarrohea was really bad to stop formula for 24 hours (just make sure she is hydrated with constant sips of water/diluted juice/electrolyte drink) and then start formula again at 50% strength. If she goes ok with a few bottles of that increase to 75% then 100%. Lucie still was ill for a few more days but I stuck with it and eventually she got better and then was an eating machine for a few days! She is an awesome weight though, and she looks so cute in her new ticker pic! She has a good head of hair too!

Jo - You do so much stuff anyway I don't reckon you could fit in a mothers group as well!

Forgot to say yesterday that we hit a cow on our way home on Friday night. It gave me the biggest fright. It was a black cow in the middle of a busy country road. Luckily we have a station wagon - it hit the passenger side corner and rolled onto the bonnet. Fortunately we were all ok, the car is looking a bit sad though! I was just worried that someone else would come and hit it later and it might have been an even worse accident. Now I just hope insurance will pay up :doh:

Dh comes back tonight - yay! Been very hard stuck here with no car. And Lucie is on a hunger strike too!

AAAAaaaarrrrggghhh, my baby is growing too fast!
She is speed crawling everywhere shakes her head when we ask her stuff, has pulled down her mobile above her cot for the second time, so I have removed it from now on...
She si starting to pull herself up & try to turn things on & off! I want me baby back!!!!!

well the little princess is still not the best ...still sounds like the bass of a band hehehe. She is totally off her food and wont touch anything pretty much !. She is even off her milk but luckily she is not to bad with her water...not as much as normal but some at least. But she is not sleeping anymore ! She is sleeping less so her body is probably taking longer to recover.

Soph you are so lucky you guys are ok!!!! man those cows can cause damage !. Thanks for your advise on the formula and fingers crossed Kaitlyn has a pig out once she is all better.

Tracey your cooking day sounds lovely! What did you end up cooking?. Yay on being down to 4!!!!!!!!!!!.

Well Girls we had such a big day planned today..horse riding and then a lovely seafood lunch ...but........ I had to postpone Horseriding and we went to lunch but I didnt have my lobster :-(. I swear I just feel like vomiting all the time!.

Well better run as Kaitlyn is having trouble falling asleep and is now screaming her lungs out in her cot...poor poopy bum ..that is her nick name at the moment!.

forgot one more thing...now that Kaitlyn is back up and cuddling daddy ..cheeky devil!.

Have you girls given your bubs Shreaded Wheet biscuits before?. I got some from arnotts but I dont know if she is allowed them .

Man ...why are they so cute when they know they should be in bed and they are not!!Kaitlyn is all smiles and dimples right now!!!

Hi Girls,

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend (despite a few mums & bubs being sick...)

We've had a pretty exciting weekend here...Josh started crawling this morning! Not hands and knees crawling, but commando style - pulling himself along with his arms. He's also finally sitting up on his own. Still a little wobbly, but he will only get better from here. :)

My sister came over today and brought lunch with her and we went out for cake and coffee afterwards. Yum! Josh and I also met up with her during her lunch break on Friday and she had a present for him...a gorgeous little stripey knitted jumper with a hood that has little ears on the top. Very cute!

Louise & Tracey, I hope Maria and Indah's chests/noses have cleared up a bit. Hope you had fun at the zoo too, Louise.

Well had a day today. We all snuggled in bed til 11 and then we had friends over for lunch. Sammy was being so cute and wearing his little eagles scarf stirring up our friend who is an avid dockers supporter. They just adore Sammy and couldnt do enough for him..he was just basking in all the adoration!

Well big news this end. Yesterday Lucie took her first step! Just one mind you before she fell down, but she did it twice. Think it will still be a while before she really takes off though. And I think I'm trying to get her to drink too much milk which is why she is hating her solids. I read in teh baby whisperer book that about 475ml a day is ok. I've been trying to get her to take about 700ml still, no wonder she doesn't want any food! Ahhhhh got to try and sort all that out but will wait until later in the week to start a different routine. We have to drive to Tweed Heads tomorrow to see the paed surgeon. I'm scared!

Morning ladies....

Well I will tell you all the baking here's what we made:
a batch of Triple Choc brownies, a batch of yum yum balls, a tray of lasagne & we made soft tacos for dinner last night!

Indah had a long sleep Saturday morning & woke up in a wonderful mood! She was so happy & fun all weekend & is speed crawling all over the place & started pulling herself up on furniture! Indah commando crawled for months, she only started doing a real crawl once or twice here & there probably a week or so ago & now, she gets into everything!!!!!!
Indah is home today with Daddy he has an RDO, he loves his monthly RDO day with Indah, they watch music DVD's & just laze around!

* Ladies I have decided to postpone TTC#3, as we really need to get to bali to see Dh's family & ideally I'd like Indah to go onto bottom bunk in Maddys' room so bubs can have cot in Indahs room (we only have a 3 bedroom home) also if Indah is out of nappies Bubs can have her cloth ones rather than having to buy even more, it gives us time to save more $$$'s & be more prepared etc, I havent told Dh yet, but he will be happier as he also wants to get his dream motorbike & I really want him to have it as he rides to work every day no matter what & it saves so much in petrol.. So I think it will take pressure off us both, I will also then get longer maternity leave & so I am booking a quick trip to Gold Coast so we can see my 2 close friends (both married to balinese) that have just had babies & then save like mad!!!! So I think the decision is best gives us a chance to spend more time etc with Indah as baby too...

Um, cant remember much now, but Indah has weetbix for breaky & is fine with it, she has had various biscuits too...

Soph, yay on Lucie being 8kgs, Indah gets weighed on Wednesday, she has really pudged up a bit!!! She had so many booby feeds on weekend, she has started grabbing at my top... hee hee I love her to pieces, I also love Maddy as well she is a really big helper!

I realised on the weekend that we are really very happy, DH wants to spend all his time with his family & life is really quite blissful... Hee hee just realised that's so lame!

Jo, I bet sammy loves all the attention, Indah does too, anyone looks at her & she grins!

Bec, Yay on Josh crawling & sitting up, it's now they seem to grow so fast!!!!

Oh, Indah now coughs when we copugh & can burp when we burp & waves saying "ba ba" she now says Ta when she takes something (not always though"... Hee hee they are such joy hey!!!

Oh Wow Soph a step!!! That is so great. Shes not gonna slow down is she lol. She must look adorable. Thats so great you are going to relax about the milk intake..its hard knowing what to do with these little bubbas. I know Sammy certainly seems to not want to feed as much or for as long unless its night time and then he cant get enough. Is the paed appt for the little lump behind Lucie's ear?

Trace sounds yum! Thats so great that Dh gets to spend the whole day with Indah. I think Darren would just love hanging out with Sammy all day instead of working. Delaying ttc sounds perfect for you if it pulls lots of $$ pressure off you. I so know what you mean. Littlies arent cheap and it does make sense for Indah to be that little bit older. How long do you think you will wait? I cant really see any plans here to ttc again...I just dont think I want that to happen lol. I really want to just enjoy Sammy.

Well my little boy slept pretty well last night. Only woke 4 times but after a quick booby feed was quite contented to go back to sleep straight away and he only needed resettling once after I put him to bed at 8:00 too so Im completely stoked here!!! Hoping that this is the start of good things to come.

Its Emmys 10th birthday next week..so weve just written out all of her invitations and shes happily giving them out today. We are having a scary sleepover party. Shes invited 10 of her little friends..now I have to think of ways to scare the little darlings lol.

Wow too!! Soph she'll be walking in no time!! And I know exactly what you mean about trying to get enough milk into them. If Jack hasn't finished all his bottles, I stress and keep trying him to have them. But he does eat like a trooper so I guess he takes what he wants. Everyday is different and every bub is different too..

Trace, yummo!! So glad Maddy likes cooking, and isn't it so nice when Daddies get to spend quality time with their bubbas!! And glad you guys are so happy..Also good for you about making a big decision on ttc#3 and taking the pressure of u guys too. We will be ttc buddies next year together!! YAY!!

Jo, go Sammy on the great sleep!! Here's hoping he keeps it up for you. I am very spoilt in the sleeping department, cause Jack goes to bed about 8-8.30pm and I don't hear him until 8am the next morn. He only wakes me up if he is stuck upside down on his face down the bottom corner of the cot!!!LOL And I just turn him around and pop the dummy in and he's off to sleep again!! And hope you come up with some great scary ideas for Emmys party!! I'll have to think of some for you!!

And YAY Josh on sitting up and starting to crawl!! He'll be off and running in no time Bec!!

Brooke I feel for you, Maria has been feral today as well. I think it is either teething again (the top incisors) or separation anziety has kicked in.

Brooke I so hope little Charli is having a better day today...poor little munchy. I wonder what was wrong with her.

Lol Soph at scaring the girls with the dirty nappies. I mentioned that to Emmy and she was not impressed!!!

Louise sorry that youve been having a hard time with Maria as well. What is with our bubbies eh?

Well I had a lovely but full on day yesterday. I had lunch with my mum and sister and we visited my nan. She is in a nursing home suffering from advanced breast cancer and dementia. It is so awful to watch someone deteriorate the way she has..so very very sad. Sammy was the light of the party though..and although she can no longer understand the connection of who he is or who I am he brought a smile to her face and for that I am thankful.

Where is everyone today?

We went to the paed surgeon today. It's an hour and a half drive each way and Lucie was an absolute angel. She slept half way there and then babbled the rest of the way, we had a nice walk and lunch and play in the park before our appt and then she slept the entire drive back. It was great because it was just me driving. Anyway, she's having her op next Tuesday - just a few hours in hospital which is great. She has gas to knock her out and a local anasthetic and the op itself doesn't sound too bad at all - yay!

Sorry I have been a stranger ..so busy here!. But I am happy to report it appears my happy little girl is back!. And Soph like you promised she is eating like a horse!. She had 240Mls at 1am ( arghh a bit early!) then 180Mls at 6am , 180mls at10am , 180mls at 2 am , 180 mls at 430pm and then another 180mls at 630pm!. Plus weetbix , 2 bowls of fruit and two bowls of pumpkin and potato!. She has never eaten like this!.

Tracey it is so nice when you have those nice moments of clarity isn’t it …family is the best!. Number three I am sure will be waiting in the wings after you have done what you want to do .

Soph I cant believe Lucie took her first step!!!!! That is fantastic!. You know I think she must be so busy thinking about the next milestone she will meet to eat hehehe. So when you are worried about her eating just think how amazing she is!. I cant believe how cool that is…a step! So glad Lucies appt went well. I will be sending positive vibes her way on the day of her operation.

I got my first night of good sleep in a while last night...yippe!. Kaitlyn went down without a peep at about 815pm and did not move until 430am ...ohhhh soooo nice!. It is so nice to have my little girl back. So amazing what a horrible virus can do to them!.

Tracey I love those spur of the moment holiday bookings!...they are often the best.

Jo your holiday sounds lovely to . There are probably so many fun foods you can do that are GROSS. Worms and meat sauce ....spag and meat sauce obviously hehe. I bet there is a website somewhere that has stuff like that!.Or have baked potato and cut the top off , dig the middle out fill with meat and walla you are eating a brain out of a head HAHAHAHA. I can imagine the EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWs.

Well we have had a pretty non eventful day . Had to wake princess up at 645am and go to get the car serviced. They are pretty good as if you are there at 730am you are usually out by 10am. I tell you since buying a Honda I dont think I would buy anything else...they are so nice and the place we got it has the best customer service!!! makes it good with a baby. We just waited in their cafe and had brekkie together and Kaitlyn chatted with everyone that would listen hahaha. Then picked up some nappies...trying a brand from Big W called Dymples for the first time as a mum I was chatting to in the nappy section said they were as good as Babylove which is what I use during the day ...so hopefully they are as they are cheaper.

Louise I was just cleaning up and pretty much dropped my whole bottle of baby massage oil on the floor .........arghhhh....the cap must have got lose in the nappy bag!. Thank good it was on the floor boards so they just look extra polished now .

Kaitlyn has changed her babbleing sounds so I am sure there is a word on its way ...oh the pressure heheheheheh just kidding!.

Other then that all is good over here . Hope all you other ladies are well!. Hope Storm jumps on and tells us how wondferful she is feeling!.

Well accom is booked & we got the cheap flights too, so in 7wks & 6 days we will be in Surfers!!! Yippeeee!
We are staying at a place called Ashmore palms it is about 20min drive out of Surfers but we are mostly going to see 2 friends whom have just had bubbas... Yippeee so wont be out partying too much!
Um Indah just got back from MCHN... She now weighs 8.420kg & is 71.5cm... I will check that against mine & Maddy's health centre books & let you know later how similar or different we are/were! As Mum was leaving Indah waved & said Bye Bye to the MCHN, Indah is a bit of a show off!..

Jo, I hope Davinci code was OK, I never have time to read a book, but it hasnt really interested me either...ut hope Sammy enjoyed it too. The Party sounds like it's gonna be great!!!
