Babies Born August 2006 #7

hi all

We went to the engagment party last night, and Charlotte was an angel, she slept for 2 1/2 hours and then was happy to be passed around and have a dance with her mummy. I don't know how she managed to sleep as there was so much noise.

Sarah- Good to see that William slept when you wentout last night, I bet you had fun at chady, I may just have to go there soon. I really want foxtel, but we dont get it here, you may just have to tape me a few shows.

Sam- how is the new tv?

Maz- I don't think we will be kicking you out as it was really quite in here.

Kelly~ I love the new pic on your ticker! Is that from last night? I am more than happy to tape anything for you, just let me know.

Sam~ Did you go back to HN today to get what you wanted?? CRoad has GREAT baby clothes. The only thing is they can't keep up with the demand. They aren't even expensive. The cargo pants I got today were $30 which is not really much more than PPatch would charge. And at least when you get Croad not every second kid is wearing it.

Where on earth is everyone??? I got excited thinking our gatecrashers were going to liven up the place!
William and I had a play date at a friends place which was nice. Her little boy is only 5days younger than William. Apart from that we have had a really lazy day.

I know, its just so quite in here.

We went to our " young mums group" today, and then we all went and had coffee.

I got a call from my mum, as her DP son had a baby boy born today, Harrison, anyway, they have found out that something is wrong with his heart and he is not getting enough air, so they have transported him from Sale to the Childrens. His daddy has gone with him, but his mummy could not go as she had a c/s to have him, I really feel sorry for her, it must be so hard to have a new born and have him taken 100k's away. I well let you all know what happens.

Kelly~ I can't imagine how hard it would be for that girl to be so far away from her precious baby boy when he needs her the most. William was in the special care nursery for his first 24 hours and I was in there with him most of the time. I couldn't bare to leave him. She really must be feeling heart broken right now.

Kelly hope little Harrison is doing better today. :hugs: for his mum, that would be so hard! I love the new ticker pic too BTW. Just gorgeous!

Sarah I'll definatley have to sus out CR, sounds good. I also love Esprit kids and was most upset they don't have kids clothes at FG. I keep telling them every time I go in there to get the kids stuff in ;)

Caleb had his immunisations yesterday. Poor little man has bruised thighs :( He didn't cry till the second one, then he let it rip!

I think I will be popping up to FG today so if you guys are going to be there let me know and we can meet for a coffee or lunch.
I also tell Esprit to get kids stuff in as mum buys heaps of stuff for William from Esprit. Also Christian wears alot of Esprit so they could be getting alot more of my money if they had mens and kids wear. Hmmm maybe it's best they don't.
William got up at 7 today. A little earlier than usual but not too bad. I think I am going to get him a jolly jumper today. He has the FP JumperRoo but he doesn't like it all that much. Sometimes I think the simpler the better, so I will try the jolly jumper.
Also can I ask what brand monitors you girls use?? I have a Roger Armstrong Sleep Easy and it is AWFUL! It buzzes like crazy! If I still had the box I would take it back. I must find a new one.

asked Jed to check VY's bum brefore he put her to bed last night...yeah yeah no poo. Vy wakes at 2 screaming and after I tell Jed to change her.....hmmm poo! She ended up waking the boys and then WIlhelm wet the bed so im a bit peeved at Jed...god I know he tried but sometimes....I could just head butt him.

Hi Girls, I`ve just cut and pasted this from my Jan - July 05 baby buddies as Adrain has just woken so no time to talk atm:

I`ve been away with the boys in Sydney. I needed a break plus I was taking a delivering kitten down there for someone.

My Mum couldn`t get over how tall Matthew has got and how much of a boy he is, no way could I pass him off as a girl. Took him to the park by Mum`s a couple of times, there was a lovely chinese lady there with a 10 month old, she couldn`t get over Adrian`s length or size LOL Anyway Matthew went straight up to her talking away to her, my Mum couldn`t get over how forward he is, so unlike any of my family or Mark, my Mum is used to children hanging off her skirts not a grandson who will talk to anyone LOL He`s so very different to Mark and myself who were both so shy and scared of our own shadows!!!! I don`t want either boys to be like Mark or myself, it makes life too hard.

Adrian is teething again, he is very nearly crawling and loves standing, why can I see him going from crawling to standing straight away like Matthew did but then it took Matthew 7 long months before he wasa game enough to let go and walk. The little man must know I`m talking about him, he`s just woken from a very short sleep.

Me~ I am just waiting for my boy to wake up. He is such a great sleeper. Yesterday he woke up a little earlier than usual so had his bottle at 7am, by 8 he was back down for a sleep and stayed asleep for 3 hours!!!! Sorry to brag! LOL!
I got him a jolly jumper yesterday and I must say he really does prefer dancing with me while in it!
1 more sleep til my Foxtel comes.

Dee - how tall (log) is Matthew? I get the same with Vy all the time, she was 56cm born and I think last time we got measured - 4 months, she was 69.5 cm so Hate to know what she is now.

Hello everyone,

I took Charlotte to see my health nurse today, as she was up most of the night last night, so I asked her what to do, and she told me to just do what I am doing until I go to sleep school in 2 weeks. Anyway I had her weighed whilst I was there and she put on 55 grams in 2 weeks. , so all up in the last 7 weeks she has put on a total of 225 grams. So we went to see our GP today, and I have to take her tomorrow to get a urine sample, and get her weighed next week, and if she has not gained much then the poor baba has to have some blood tests.

Sarah- Willaim is such a good boy for his mummy, Charlotte has got a whole lot wrose, bring on sleep school. though she has just put her self to sleep yay.

oh Kelly - I hope that Charlotte gets better for you soon. Poor little babe.
Sarah - thanks for saying Vy's gorgeous...it was all the white wine and scotch I drank the night we made her ROFL ;) we think she is Im going to have asticky now at everyones pics aswell

Just got back from the peado for Wilhelms 6 monthly check. We now have to have an ECG to check his brian waves cause he is starting to have seizures, none fitting ones just this eyes rolling bck and no verbaul communication with us. He's had 2 screaming ones were Ive had to smack his butt to snap him out of it. Doctor is a bit worried that it might be the start of epilepsy..great just another thing to conqure! Doc also said that Wilhelm might have a very difficult time getting into his special needs school next year cause his IQ level has to be below 70 to get in and he's very advanced in his reading, writing and drawing abilities...breathing in.....breath out.
So all in all had a wonderful day.

Us.....well.....tried to feed Caleb apple today but he is flat out refusing to let me put anything in his mouth (besides my nipple of course lol!) He actually sucks his bottom lip in when the spoon goes near his face and as soon as it's not there he's smiles again. Got it on tape, very funny it is!

Sarah - Huge congratulations to you! Wishing you all the best for a healthy pregnancy.

Sammi - That would be such a cute tape! Complete opposite to my garbage guts who actually sits in the trolley at the supermarket with his mouth wide open as I load the trolley!

We had a horror night hear (again), Xander decided that sleep was a really dumb idea and opted to scream hyterically everytime I attempted to put him down in his cot. argghhh. He'd finally drift off either on the boob or rocked in my arms, only to wake an hour later and repeat the whole process. He wouldn't even sleep in our bed. In the end, I laid down with him on his bedroom floor and we both crashed out there. Dunno what the problem was, he's just gotten two teeth - would he already be getting more?

Anaa - Yay on Xander getting 2 teeth. Im sending Vy's sleeping vibes his way. She slept for 4 hours yesterday lunch then half an hour in the car at 5 then went to bed at 8 and didnt wake until 6.30 this morning....what is going on????? Love the cake matie...Your so clever. I made 7 taggy blankets and have jsut bought another 2 meters of minky to make more..naughty naughty
Sami - have fun at the meet up today...very jealous. You have to send in a cipy of the vid tape of Caleb and his no food policies to Funniest home videos.

Congratulations Maz and Sarah - :dance: My biological clock is ticking and you girls aren`t helping ;)

Maz - Are you referring to Matthew or Adrian as to length, I`m guessing Adrian?? At his 6 month check up he was 72cms at just under 4 months he was 67.5cms.

Yay Belle - Hello. The boys always travel well in the car but Matthew decided to get his arms out of his car seat and start harrassing poor Adrian, after stopping and fixing him up he did the same thing, he then decided to go to sleep for 40 minutes and when he woke he saw Hungry Jacks sign so all I got then was MUM, MUM, MUM LOL DH did tell me they can pick up on take away signs at an early age.

Oh dear Adrian`s screaming I better go, oh before I go my baby boy is growing up :( we turned the car seat around as his feet were touching the back seat and he`s moved from his cradle to a travel cot, Matthew is still in his cot atm so we decided a travel cot is the way to go for hopefully only a short time before Matthew goes into a big bed.

Oh my i have been MIA sorry girls, i have to go back and read what everyone's been up to, been so busy what with sick kids and everything, Mason has had an ear infection then he got a throat infection and now he has a cough i tell you it's never ending, he's on solids now and has just started to enjoy it, it took him a couple of weeks but he's getting the hang now really well. Get him weighed next week. I've been busy organising our trip away to NSW in 2 weeks, Mason and i are flying (so if anyone has any tips for a short trip on a plane with a 7 month old would be good lol) and i'm having a garage sale tomorrow, getting rid of all the baby stuff, clothes etc so hopefully we have a good turn out and i make some spending money hehe.

Just wanted to let you know that i'm still here i have also done the 2 lower joints in my back so getting physio on that, i made it worse by falling flat on my back last week trying to save Mason from falling off the bed, slipped on a pillow and ended up with him on top of me, ouch it hurt lol i'm going to start auditioning for stunts in movies lol wasn't funny at the time. :rolleyes:

Anyhow better get back to organising this garage sale, plz pray it doesn't rain :pray:

Hope I haven't forgotten anyone! It's been a while since I've had to reply to so many ;)

Well I'm still having food battles with Caleb but I've discovered that he wants to be in charge of the spoon so if I let him hold it too we do end up with food in his mouth YAY!
As well as all over the place, but I can't be too fussy. At least he's eating now!
He wasn't too keen on settling last night and I was up with him till 12:30 but once he was down didn't wake till 8am. Wish his brothers slept in too...

oh I must be naughty cause Vy's been sitting facing forward since just after christmas. We went to geelong for my BIL's wedding and she screamed and screamed, turned seat around, no more screaming. So glad I still have the baby capsule now. I can buy a decent booster for Vy down the track.
YAY on Caleb getting food in finally sam. Take some pics. must of been the night for not settling (was it a full moon?) I had Vy in our bed cause she screamed for 4 hours
Hello to everyone else - only a fly by today I really want to sew some covers while Vy is sleepng and im not feeling to yucky

Maz- congratulations on the pregnancy, so you were right. Wow 2 pregnant now, how is next?

Sam- I am still having some troubles with Charlotte, she does like pears and apples though and will eat 2 ice blocks of them, I am trying parsnip and pumpkin at the moment, and i can only get her to have 2-3 mouthfuls of that.

Had no trouble getting Charlotte down last night, I think it was because she feel asleep in the car, I got her in and feed her and put her into bed and she went straight to sleep, We got a sleep in as my mum had Madison last night, so we did not get up until 8:45am, but that was with 2 wake ups.
I still don't have her car seat turned around, and i don't think i will be able to change it until she is at least 12 months of age, as she is still so little, 6.920kgs last week.

Sammi - The look on Adrian`s face was priceless you could see he was very confused about his seat but there weren`t any problems, he travels well in the car. Yay for getting some food into Caleb`s mouth.

Kelly - Glad Charlotte went down for you okay. If Adrian wasn`t touching the back seat with his feet his car seat would still be in the newborn position, afterall that`s the safest position so if you can get to 12 months with Charlotte that`s fantastic.

Adrian`s having major problems with his teeth, he was screaming at 10pm, 12am, 2am, nothing unusual with all the wakeups but the screaming I could have done without, he was very unsettled yesterday as well, #3 has poked it`s head through and #4 is on it`s way, poor little man.

He has now decided he loves his food, he had his first taste of beef on Friday then the last couple of days I`ve mixed it with his vegies.

Sorry I have been MIA. William is not very well. I took him to the Dr's tonight as this is the 3rd day he hasn't been himself. He has a virus which also means there's no cure, we just have to let it run it's course. Poor little man. The reason I have waited so long before taking him to the Dr is that he is still eating and going to the toilet, so I figured it was just a virus and would need to run it's course. BUT today he broke out in a spotty rash! I was a little freaked so took him to the Dr. It turns out I was right (of course) and he should be fine in a couple of days.

Kelly~ How's Charlotte going with her sleeping? Is it getting any better?

Sam~ Hooray on Caleb eating some food!!! Funny it has to be so messy.

Dee~ I hope Adrian's teeth settle down soon.

Oh yeah and there has been a good thing to come out of William being sick. All he wants to do is say MUM MUM MUM. So sweet how much they love their mums when they don't feel the best. Lucky I have had Grey's Anatomy on DVD to watch the past couple of days on the couch with William. I have told him McDreamy will make him all better! lol

Sarah- poor William, can McDreamy make me all better too, though there is nothing wrong with me, I hope he gets better soon. How are you feeling? I am a bit jealous that you are pregnant, I would like to have another baby but Tim does not want to.

It`s been so quiet in here, where are all our gatecrashers - Did we scare them away :)

Sarah - Poor little William, I hope he feels better soon, that`s so cute that all he wants to say is Mum, Mum.

I am so sick of hanging around this house. But I can't take William out while he isn't feeling the best. I have finished all of the Grey's I have so I guess I'll move onto something else. Nip/Tuck I think.

My beautiful dog Gemma has to have her teeth cleaned tomorrow. She is costing me a fortune at the moment. She is almost 9 so is getting old. She is having a series of injections for her arthritis so I am at the vet every week for 4 weeks for this, and now the teeth clean. It's going to cost me about 250 bucks as they put them to sleep for it. Lucky I'm pregnant so didn't bother going to Target with all the other crazy chicks for some Stella McCartney clothes. My mum did so I'll just borrow hers. That's if she doesn't sell them on ebay. I think I would, people are paying stupid money for the clothes on there.
