Hey lovely ladies! :)
Maddy is asleep in bed and our bags are mostly packed. I'm off to bed whilst the going is good...will probably only be back in here again in the morning tomorrow; as tomorrow afternoon Maddy & I are going to my Dad's. We won't be back on again until after we get back from Sydney on Saturday.
Meg, Christie...what time are you guys available on Friday and where do you want to meet? I will be in North Sydney at around 8am or so; I was thinking of finding a cafe to hang at with Maddy (perhaps take a walk to whatever local shops there are as well) til we meet. Are you available around 11am? Are we going to Yum Cha for lunch? :) Am feeling very indecisive and unable to make a decision as I don't really know Sydney all that well. Don't have to be in Darling Harbour until 4pm to meet up with John so I have plenty of time to chat/lunch/generally be a pain in your butts! *LOL*
Hope you all have wonderful evenings! I will be recharging my phone Meg so I will have that with me in Sydney so you can get in contact if you need to.
Be back in the morning! :hello:
-
Gorgeous Meg! You make a lovely brunette!
Have a great trip Beck!
Kate Abby face plants too when she tries to crawl! Im sure little Jasmine just got scared and it didnt hurt! Dont beat yourself up about it, you are a GREAT mum!
Dani poor thing! How is it going now? I hope Jett is sleeping for you right now!!
Tiggy so happy Ivy and Noah are better!!
To the rest: I hope you all are well!
Still getting over the bronchitis here...all that is left is the cough! This morning I woke up with a yeast infection (sorry if tmi) but it hurts soooo bad! So much worse than I would get before Abby was born. Im sure I got it because of the antibiotics. I feel like just staying in bed all day... I feel like crap!
I took some 7 month pics of Abby yesterday and today. I am going to put them in her yahoo photo album, you can see them when you go to Abby's website and click on "My pics 7-? months! There's a TON!" at the bottom of her homepage! I will let you know when they are up! :) Those of you that I have your email I will send you a photo album of her new pics through email! I just LOVE taking pics of her! I even got one that kinda shows her new teeth!
ETA: The pics have been added! :)
-
Sarajo they're gorgeous pics, she's so grown up now!! Love her teeth, they look just like coco's!! They grow so fast though and coco's have gone from being barely visible last monday, to totally visible and about a quarter of the way up!
Beck, so looking forwarx to catching up. I think Christie can meet us for lunch, she said 2pm would be better for her though. So maybe we could say 1pm at North sydney (Christie, the yum cha is almost right next door to the place we met last time), maybe you could text when you get there and we'll find you.
Beck, I can meet you around 11am (will give coco her first sleep and then find you). If you tell me where you are at about 9am or whenever, just incase you're right near my house!
Grumps woke up 3 or 4 times last night. The only good thing was that each time was only 5 mins. I so don't know what the prob is though. maybe it's having arms free, it might take her a while to stop hitting herself in the head. Actually her first wake up at 11pm had to be the neighbours. Im so disappointed that we have noisey neighbours. We have managed 4 years of no noise, and now this...AND they're renters....gggrrr.
Im in two minds about moving. When I hear the neighbours I just want to go, but going to the inlaws, Im nervous. Firstly tilly will change schools. THat's ok becuase it will be where we eventually buy. But what if we don't sell for years, we'd be stuck with them. Also Im worried because I don't want to eat what they eat at dinner, but how do you do seperate family meals when we all live there. I could offer to cook every night I suppose, but I also get a bit nervy cooking for so many people!! Maybe we'll just live on teh SC downstairs!!
Im also worried that they will expect coco to sleep in our room (guess I'll have to ask about it).
anyway, enough of that.
will be back later xoxoox

Hi Ladies,
Hope everyone is doing well. Only 5 days till I start work, Oh I am little worried now, my little boy will be away from me for the whole day.
I went to the MCHN yesterday and she said to introduce meat. I have no idea of ho I am going to do this. Has anyone else started?
Meg – Your hair looks great. It looks so healthy and shiny, oh what I would give for long hair again.
I am going to get a new color soon. Maybe when $$$ wise we are back on our feet I will treat myself.
I hope that Coco is sleeping better for you now. Have you still you her in her own room? Is that helping?
Tiggy – Hope all is going well with you and the kidlets. I went to the MCHN yesterday and she suggested a new routine so maybe that will help with the sleeping issues.
Sarajo – I checked out Abby’s picture, my goodness you have a little stunner on your hands. Have fun beating away the boys later in life. Wow, she is really good on all fours. Jett has no idea of what crawling is I am sure of it. He is cranky as he wants to get moving but doesn’t know how to. He has heaps of tummy time so it is just a matter of time.
Kate – Glad to hear that all is going well with you and Jasmine. How cute that Jasmine is clapping and I know face and I would clap if I watched it too. If I say to Jett clap your hands he will. Like Jasmine he claps when he gets excited, I put him in his jolly jumper and he was clapping away.
We are moving into a place with wooden boards, I hope that when Jett finally decides to crawl he doesn’t face plant. Oh well these things are sure to happen sooner or later.
Betta go and get back to the packing
:hello: Bye
-
Sarajo - LOVE the new piccies of little Abby. I'm with Dani, you have a fair stunner on your hands there. Better tell Don to invest in a shotgun asap because the boys are going to be knocking down your door. :) Wish you could be in Sydney on Friday to meet-up, but if I ever make it over to Canada to see my big 'sis' and my rellies; I'll be stopping by Texas as a side trip for sure!
Dani - only 5 days to go...wow! :) Well done hon, have so much respect for you getting back into the workforce so quick and keeping your skill levels up. I'm still sitting on my butt here. Heard a really basic job at my old work came up (would love to do it - just data entry basically, no stress like I used to have underwriting/sales) the other day, if we weren't moving to Sydney I'd be inquiring after it. Sorry, no idea on the meat thing. Perhaps you could puree it up, or just cook it for a long time so it can be mashed and mixed with some vegies? If you have a SC (slow cooker), you'd be able to stew the heck out of it for little Jett. (Sorry, I have a memory like a sieve, can't recall if you have one or not!) Also wish you were in Sydney too...might be coming to Melbourne later this year though!
Kate - sorry to hear you can't make it either on Friday; but you're right...there is always next time and your gyno appointment is much more important. That is so cute about Jasmine clapping her hands. Maddy just waves her arms around like a madwoman...only claps if it involves smacking two toys together to make a loud noise! *LOL* You HAVE been busy....hope your family & friends give you a break soon!
Meg - LOVE the hair! :) You didn't use the Loreal pack that does the colour & then highlights did you? My hair looks remarkably like your hair at the moment! When I heard you were dying yours I felt horrified at the thought of seeing you with your beautiful locks, whilst mine have 4 inches of horrible regrowth. Didn't want to torture my hair with blonde bleaching again so I went back to red like I was a few years back. It is SO dark... *LOL* Off to get some blonde highlights in at 1:30pm.
Ok, well you have my mobile number. :) I hope...you haven't sent that SMS with Leanne's number yet have you? My number starts with 0404 I think, so let me know if you have that one on your phone. 11am would be great to meet if that's ok with you...and hopefully we can organise with Christie to do lunch at 1pm at that Yum Cha. Am SOOO excited about catching up with you & Coco and meeting Christie and little Owen.
Better fly as I just realised I haven't put credit on my mobible yet... *LOL* Oh, and wanted to say that Maddy finally crawled forward this morning! YAYYY! Only about 2 or 3 shuffles forward of the hands & feet but normally she just flops down like a beached whale.
Leanne, Tiff, Wonderwoman, Melly, Sami, Jillian...hope you're all doing well and your bubbas are cruising along! (And truly am sorry if I have forgotten someone, I nearly always do!)
-
Hi guys!!
Dani, I do meat for coco. One of her favs is mince. I do a spag sauce just by doing mince, chopped carrot, crushed garlic, basil and a tin of tomatoes (I used organic nothing added). I then slow cooked it all day, but would be fine just doing on stove top and pureeing. I dont' puree the sc one though, she is eating rather lumpy stuff. I also do beef casserole (very basic for her, just meat, veg and water) and I do lamb shanks. Sometimes I'll do a chook for the whole fam and just cut up some for coco.
Thanks for the hair compliments. Beck, that's classic that we're similar!! I had mine this colour years ago too!! It is sooooooooo much cheaper being a brunette, i couldn't afford to be blonde any more.
Gotta run, it's bed time and we've been running around all day. Beck, I just texted you to see if I have the right no. HA, just got message back, all is good, I've got the right no>!!! Can't wait to see you and Christie on friday!!
talk soon xoxoxo
-
Thank you all, I could say the same about every one of your babies! I think we just have a GREAT looking bunch of little-ones here! I love seeing new pics of all your bubs too! Keep taking those pics and let us know when they are up so we can see!
dani I love the new pics of Jett! He is so adorable! As for meat, I tried once and her reflux got worse, so Abbys doc is having me hold off for awhile yet. Abby doesnt crawl yet, just gets in position and rocks back and forth and then face plants! It is a funny site! Good luck to you on starting work!
Meg dont you love the bottom teeth?! They dont seem to be growing quickly, but they are pretty visible now! Can you get a pics of Coco's? How stressful for you about your inlaws! So sorry you ahve to go through all that! I hope all the adjustments go smoothly!
Beck YAY MADDY! Good job on the crawl!!!
I wish I could be there to meet you all too! When you go to canada, you will stop by? Well, I truely hope so, but Canada is quite a distance from Texas...it would be a flight of probably 6 hours I am guessing of not more to get from Canada to here! I really hope we can meet someday though! Lets write to Oprah and see if she can set up a reunion thing and get us all together! :)
Kate YAY JASMINE on clapping! How exciting and cute!! I cant wait till Abby starts clapping!
Christie how is the pregnancy going? Hows the morning sickness?
Well you all have a GREAT day!! :)
-
Hey ladies! :) We're at the airport, been up since 4am! *LOL* About to go and board soon so I'd better fly. Thanks for the SMS Meg!
Sarajo - My friend lives in London, Ontario. My relatives are in the main city in Ontario...too early right now and the name escapes me embarassingly! *L*
Be back online on Saturday afternoon...have a wonderful rest of the week ladies!
-
Sarajo, Oprah is a GREAT idea!! I would do anything to be on Oprah, think our reunion is a great idea!
gotta run, tilly is really being difficult this morning. She's not well but wont keep away from coco.
talk soon xo
-
Where is everyone????? I feel very lonely here today!!
Christie, are you meeting up today? I will take my camera to post some pics later. Very excited to see Beck and Maddy again and hopefully Christie and Owen. Wish everyone could come!
did I mention how coco wouldn't breastfeed? For the two days before yesterday she would only have her morning feed. Anyway yesterday I got my period and she started feeding again. How bizarre, leading up to it must've turned her off! Im amazed they can notice a difference in taste, clever little things. Anyway, she's back on which is a relief. I was soooo not ready to give up feeding her, I really want to go to at least one year, more if she wants.
My baby is 8 months next tuesday, where on earth has the time gone?
better go and have a shower or I'll never get out of the house!
hope everyone has a great day xoxoox
-
hi girls..haven't been on all week coz owen and i have both got a nasty flu..he's barely slept for a week coz he's so congested..and of course i can't take anything either!!i forgot all about our meet up today(forgot it was friday today totell you the truth!!)we are def not well enough and don't want to infect you guys too..hope you have a great time, wish we could be there!!
bbl
ps can we get yum cha next time we meet up??was really keen for it!!
-
Hey christie, bummer that you and Owen are sick, i hope you get better really soon.
Definitely can have yum cha next time!! Isn't it just the best!
have just spent two hours resettling coco (she only had 1/2 hour sleep) and now she's asleep again I almost need to go and meet Beck...typical!
have a good day all xoxo
-
Im back already from my gyno appt... I wonder if I could have made it and met up with you guys? Probably. I had no idea it was going to be so quick today in there! YAY for me, I can go off the medication so hopefully I can start to lose some of this disgusting weight I have put on! Im so happy, and very hopeful too!
Aww Im jealous of you all meeting up today, its such a nice day. Well it is here.
Hope you are ok Christie!! How awful to have the flu right now. On the plus side, atleast winter is almost over. I hope Owen is ok and that Ben doesnt end up with the flu also! Bummer you couldnt make it today either. Maybe next time we can all be there. Cant believe I have known you guys for a year tomorrow and I still havent met anyone!!
Melly, you and I joined BB on the same day last year! I just remembered that. How are you? How is Logan? You must be very busy. I cant wait to hear what you are up to and how you are going!
Sarajo YAY Welcome Back if I havent said that already!!! My goodness Abby is sooooooooo cute. And her earrings look so fantastic! I really have never been keen on them until I saw how beautiful they look on your little princess!! You were right, I put Jasmine back down and she had no hesitation in crawling off again. Its quite scary. I have this donut thing that she sits in normally and plays and its really safe and its been probably one of the best things I have bought, but lately she is dropping toys over the side of it and trying to reach them.......this morning she was OUT of the bloody thing and laying on the floor. Where did my baby go? :(
Meg You look excellent with the dark hair! I wish I could go from blonde to brunette and still look fabulous like you! Really! Looks very healthy too. Im jealous! I bet Coco is the perfect baby when Bec is there, she might even sleep the whole time too, just to show you up LOL!
Dani I hope you are well. I missed a post of yours the other day and just read it this morning. I think youre doing such a great job. You are a fantastic mother. Dealing with what you do, and still being so great at motherhood is a huge accomplishment. Having to battle your body as well as your mind is so draining, Im really in awe of how you do it all. Maybe going back to work will help a little and make enough of a difference for you. Im very excited and cant wait to hear all about your first day! Good Luck!!!
Beck Hope you are enjoying Sydney. Of course you are, how could you not lol! I cant wait to see pics of Maddy and Coco together. So excited about that! YAYAYAYAY at Maddy crawling! Watch how she takes off now!
Must go, am off to get a new car seat today for the new car.... Im nervous because the lady told me I can turn the car seat around now. Does anyone else have their baby in the forward position now? I admit I hate that I cant see Jasmine properly while she is laying down facing the chair and I would prefer to see her in my revision mirror or even when I turn around. But I look at Jasmine and I think she is still so small......!!!
Everyone Ive missed I hope you are well. Im thinking of you and all your babies. Hoping to hear from everyone soon to see what you are all up to!
Take Care All!!
-
Hi guys!! Was so lovely to meet up with Beck today!! We had delish yum cha!! Maddy was as cute as can be! It was Maddy who did the sleeping!! She just nodded off, whereas i had to rock coco for at Least half an hour before she had her cat nap!! They were cute together, both almost choking on their rusks!
Beck took a photo, I forgot my camera (baby brain...will blame that forever)!! Anyway, looking forward to seeing the pic, looked cute!
coco is miserable now, will put that down to lack of sleep. I am feeling shocking, have the worst hayfever. Just dont know how I'll get through this arvo and tonight. Cant imagine how I'll have the energy to feed the kids and give them a bath, especially with coco just WHINGING!!!
Kate, good to hear from you!! We moved coco's seat about 2 weeks ago. It still reclines in the forward facing, so she's quite relaxed. i love being able to see her. She can have a rusk in the car now as I can reach her. She seems to like it too.
gotta run, I need to lie down for just one minute!!xoxox
-
Hi Ladies,
I hope that you have fun at your meet up today. I am so so jealous I couldn’t attend. I am going to meet you all one day.
We have been okay here. We are all still sick, and so is the rest of the family so it is just going to keep going around.
I have given Jett chicken two nights with his veggies so it is going okay. I have only been chopping it up with a knife which is good, because he is learning to chew.
I am watching Big Brother it is so funny they are breaking down the doors.
Tiggy – Thanks for the support:hug: , I know it is harder when you are sick. I am very naughty as I didn’t get my meds and I really noticed the difference.
Hope all is well with the twins.
Christie – Sorry to hear that you have this flu that is doing the rounds. Hope Owen doesn’t get sick.
Meg – A question for you? Is it to late to late to get a flu injection. I think maybe it would be a good idea.
Good on you Meg I wish that I still BF Jett, sometimes it would make life a lot easier. Sometimes I am out and it is bottle time, it is so much better when it is on tap, hehehe.
You poor love with the hay fever it is a pain and with a tired baby too.
Kate - Jett has been forward facing since he was about 5 months old. He was very strong and he could hold his head up when he was 2 months. He got to the stage where he hated being in the car so I changed the seat around and he loves it.
When I am out shopping I sit him in the trolley, he has a ball.
I too can't wait for work to start, (it sounds bad, but I am looking forward to it). Not sure I am cut out to be a full time stay at home Mummy. Don't get me wrong I love Jett till the sun doesn’t Shine but, sometimes I just need a break and I think work will be that break.
Betta go need a little sleep
:hello:
-
Hello.
Kate, wow i didn't know we joined the same day! yay on Jasmine clapping, what a smart little girl.
I've been really busy with uni. My first assignment is due on Tuesday and then another two assigments due in two weeks. Logan is getting used to childcare, they even set up this rocker/hammock-type thing (lol I'm so good at descriptions  ) because he won't sleep in a cot for them hehe
Logan & I are sick. Ex is staying here and well I won't get in to any details apart from I am really stressed/depressed.
Logan had his Orthoptist appointment this morning. She said hi eyesight seems ok, but he has to go back in a few months for another checkup since he was really too young to concentrate on much today so she couldn't be sure of some of the tests. She also checked my eyes. I have an Intermittent Divergent Squint and was lucky enough to get an appointment in september to have surgery done to hopefully correct the "turn" a bit so I don't have to work so hard to focus on things with my eyes. I also have to do eye exercises LOL
Sorry for not doing all the personals, I need to catch up on posts.
Well back to the assignment for me
-
Wow a lot of you are sick right now! I hope you all feel better!
Christie sorry you could not meet up with the others! How's the pregnancy going?
Meg and Beck so glad the meeting up was nice! I cant wait to see pics!!
Beck - houston to London, ontario is 1202 miles (1935 km)! Quite far, but I still hope we can meet someday!! :)
Meg I hope Coco slept well for you seeing as how she had such a big day!
Melly nice to hear from you again! Good news about Logan's eyesight! I am happy to hear of your upcoming surgery! I hope you feel better soon! Have you talked to anyone (doctor) about being stressed and depressed? Is it the baby blues?
Dani - what a big boy Jett is with his chicken! I cant imagine Abby doing so well with chewing and all! I hope you and Jett feel better soon! Dont feel bad about needing a break, there have been plenty of times when Don comes home when I hand Abby off and take some Mommy time to myself. Do you start your new job Monday? How exciting!! :)
Kate thank you for your comment on her earrings. That is a decision that I dont regret at all. She has never fussed with them and they are so easy to care for at this age! Yes, our babies are growing so fast and I think Jasmine will be off crawling in the next week or so. I think Abby isnt far behind! Regarding the car seat, I dont know why, but here in the US they want you to wait till the babies are 1 year old to turn front-facing. I really dont think it makes a difference at this age, but I am going to wait for abby's 1st birthday just to play by the rules.
Here they also say to now give your baby biter bisquits untill they are crawling. I think those are the same as teething rusks. I havent tried giving Abby any, but I am tempted to pick her up a box at the store this weekend. Do all your babies do alright with them? No choking?
Speaking of choking...I am a badddd mama! I gave abby a cardboard box to play with and before I knew it she sucked a corner soggy and took a bite and choked it down, literally! Poor thing, I stuck my finger in ehr mouth to make sure it was not there anymore, and here she had swallowed it! :( She seems ok now though. I felt sooo bad! I will feel worse when I discover it in her nappy! lol!
To anyone I missed, hope you are well! Have a great day everyone!
-
Hi guys!!
Well I have hayfever hangover...that's what i call it. i feel shocking. Still sneezing, but have headache sore throat etc. Absolute nightmare. Pity my flu vaccine doesn't cover hayfever!!
Dani, never too late for flu vaccine!!
Sarajo, the choking is scary. Both maddy adn coco choked on their rusks yesterday. Coco is biting more so bigger bits are coming off. I have her eating chunky food, but big chunks of rusks are just too much for her. I really can't take my eyes off her while she eats rusks.
Today is the FIRST time she has slept past half hour in the morning, and the real estate are due any minute. I can't believe it....how typical is that.
Tim is helping the inlaws put some of their furniture in storage today, so I have no hlep with the kids. I asked tim to settle coco at 2am this morn and he was just useless. I was so upset as I just felt so sick. I ended up staying awake from 2am to well past 5am...men, they are bloody useless. (coco wasn't awake that whole time, i was just so angry at tim for not helping)...gggrrr
Mel, great work on all your study!! Sounds like you're so busy. Sorry to hear your ex is being a ****. Hope that you are happier today (at least the sun is shining).
Dani, so hope you guys get better soon, its such a nigtmare being sick. I am SO over winter!!
have a good weekend guys and welcome home Beck, was great to catch up yesterday!!x
xoox
-
awe Meg sorry about your hayfever hangover! That sux about Tim not helping out @ 2! Men just dont get it that we need them some times in the middle of the night. Don is such a hard sleeper I dont think he has gotten up once in the middle of the night for Abby. I hope the kids are good for you today! What luck that Coco is sleeping in and you still have to be awake for the real estate people. I hope they dont wake her!
Well, maybe I will get her some rusks and watch her so closely. What did you do when they were choking? Did they just cough it out?
-
Sarajo, we just gave them a wack on the back! Coco is pretty good at eating things though, she does chew. the rusk only breaks when it's been totally slobbered all over!! I give her toast as well, sometimes that gets stuck. im just ready to give her a pat on the back (or harder) but their little throats are prepared for gagging, it's all part of their learning experience.
Today I gave coco tinned salmon and mixed it with some vegies. She LOVED it!! Very glad about that, salmon is good for her exzma (coco gets exzma on her face ). It's also so easy, no cooking required! Think I might try it with avocado and cottage cheese, then there's really no cooking necessary!!
xo
-
Hey Meg,
Jett has bad eczema all over his face mainly in betwen his eyebrows, I really don't want to put quartersion cream on it so I am just using baby solb, Good to hear that salmon helps with it.
Hey Sarajo,
Don't worry Jett has eaten a whole peice of cardboard before I turned my back for 2 minutes and it was gone, very funny.
Oh my MIL was just here and Jett was having nappy free time, he was sitting up playing with his toys and the next minute Ben said Jett has grown a tail. He had done a poo and it had come out the back. I also put a towel under him, Lucky hey, hehehehe.
Nothing planned for the weekend just getting ready for work on Monday and packing, Wow 2 more sleeps till I start work...
Bye all
-
Wow.....I feel like I've been away a week! *LOL* We got back at almost 2pm today but I've had a whopper headache since early this morning so Maddy and I just had a nap until a few minutes ago. I'll probably be back in the morning for some personals, but for now I just wanted to say we loved Sydney and it was just wonderful to see you & Coco again Meg! :)
DH loved the people he's working with and omg, went to the office and it is AMAZING. He's all excited about possibly moving to Sydney so provided they keep him on and renegotiate his wage, we'll be in Sydney in less than 6 months from now. :)
Sorry to hear so many of you lovely ladies are sick, hope you are feeling better too. Nothing much planned for the rest of the weekend, just waiting for our pizza (it's Bledisloe Cup union night) and then tomorrow I'm hoping to buy a video camera! :) Got my tax return back early (less than 10 days...weeeeeeee!) and DH wants me to spend it on myself. No telling me twice! *LOL*
-
Meg Coco's dinner sounds so good I think I will make it for myself! My favorite sushi is salmon, avacado, and cream cheese! Yummo! Abby gets eczema around her mouth and under her nose. I'll have to try that salmon!
Dani lol @ Jett growing a tail! How classic!
Beck good girl taking a nap with Maddy! You need your rest with a big headache like that! Is it better now? Cant wait to see pics of your outing! :)
-
Wow! We've been quiet in here; but then again, it is a weekend so hopefully we'll get more 'noisy' tomorrow.
Nothing much happening here...went on a little shopping spree today with my tax return! tehehee...Bought a video camera YAYYYYYY!!! :) DH's been testing it out all evening on Maddy. *L* I went on a makeup splurge and got some nice makeup instead of the cheap stuff; and picked up the cutest little denim overalls for Maddy today from Pumpkin Patch! :)
Hope you are all going well...have to take Maddy on my driving lesson tomorrow as it sounds like Mum will be taking my sister to the doctors and cant watch Maddy for me. Better go off to bed while the going is good...Maddy is FINALLY sleep in her own bed after being clingy during our Sydney visit and again last night.
Catch all of you lovely ladies tomorrow I hope! :)
-
Hi guys!
Well coco slept over at the inlaws on sat night and apparently only woke at 5am, but last night she woke at LEAST 5 times. I just don't know what's going on. Unless the top teeth are starting to move about, but she wasn't really upset, just kept waking. Absolute nightmare
Im taking her to a natropath today if I can get in, as I want something for her exzma. It's all over her face the poor little bubba. Maybe it's itching her in the night?
hope everyone's well. I feel shocking with no sleep and going out sat night.!! Hope I can have a nap today.'
Hope everyone slept well, xoxox
-
Meg... {{{{{hugs}}}} Sorry to hear you're still have major sleep problems with Coco. Hope you get some answers from the natropath today to help with her excema. Oh, and that you definately get to have a decent nap today.
-
Well, coco had a 2 hour nap this morning!! Very relieved! I have also booked her in to see a natropath tomorrow, so looking forward to that.
This afternoon Im taking coco to David Jones and buying her a toy!! This is very exciting as i've not bought her anything (she only has her play mat and some rattles), so i think she's feeling a bit deprived. i just want to get her something for the next stage. Tim got given a DJ's voucher, so I'm spending it on coco!
She is so gorgeous, she's just talking away to herself (dada-ing) and it sounds so lovely! She also just LOVES waving, and when someone says bye she will wave (she will also wave at any other time).
hope everyone's having a good day! xo
-
Well, I'm still trying to finish my assignment, quite slack I know since it's due tomorrow, but only one question to go!
Logan his top teeth today! Just a little bit of each one is poking through. Enough for him to now grind his teeth *shudders* Since I've had a tooth ache for the last week, the sound makes my teeth hurt. But he seems very proud of himself when he does it. He is in his jolly jumper next to me, bouncing away and talking.. lots of dadas, mamas, nanas and bubbas. He learnt to clap this morning too. My counsellour came over to introduce me to the volunteer who will be watching Logan for me on Mondays (I don't have Uni then, but she will be coming with me to the Uni Library with him so I can get some work done), starting next week. It's excellant timing since I have 2 essays due in week 5 (in week 3 atm). The volunteer was trying to distract him from grinding his teeth since it was making everyone uncomfortable, so she was clapping and he copied her.
Another good thing came out of this morning, I'm getting my tooth taken out on wednesday after Uni. My counsellour warned the dentist that I'm very nervous about it, since the place she works for is helping to pay for some of it, so she had to arrange the appointment.
Sorry I'm rambling, should get back to work. Will hopefully put some new pics of Logan up some where soon, been a bit slack lately.

Meg - thanks again for Leanne's mobile no. Will definately have to get in contact with her ASAP...once I get my license I might even be able to meet her at Lollipops or something with our kids. Did you manage to buy Coco a cool present this afternoon?! :) Sometimes I think John & I are more into the toys that Maddy gets than she actually is! hehe GREAT NEWS on her two hour nap this morning...bet you feel way more human!
Melly - that's absolutely great to hear about the volunteer who will be watching Logan for you while you study at the library. Your counsellor sounds like a wonderful, supportative person and it's great that he/she is really helping you to get through your studies. Good luck at the dentist...I hope your experience is nice and smooth...be sure to ask them for a script for panadeine forte if you're having your wisdom tooth pulled (you didn't mention which tooth). :)
Nothing much happening here. Typically after doing 2 loads of washing and promising myself this morning that it is a NEW WEEK and I will start eating healthier & exercising; it's been raining here today. Have one load out in overcast late afternoon; but am so proud that I got off my lazy behind and walked to the shops and back. Nothing much but it did take me a good 40 mins (and a good total body workout I think, having to push a baby in a pram). Even prouder to mention I did NOT buy any of the scrumptious and fatty treats in the bakery even though I did go in to buy a loaf of bread.
Must go check on Maddy as she screamed when I put her down for a nap for 2 minutes and now there is just silence. Hopefully she is ok.....*L* *crosses fingers* John will hopefully get his first pay tonight which will be good because it's been almost 5 weeks since he got his last pay at his old job. Thank god for tax returns and generous parents!
BBL....

Beck, it's not my wisdom teeth, just a tooth that is in a bad state and causing me a lot of pain. Have been on panadeine forte and antibiotics for the past week, so hopefully I can get some more panadeine on wednesday.
Good on you for getting out for a walk and resisting all the fatty treats!
-
BBL....but just wanted to post that I've uploaded some new photos (including those of Maddy & Coco in Sydney last week) to the yahoo photos site.
-
Hey Beck, cute pics!! Good on you with your exercise. I decided I'd start today too by walking to the shops, but coco slept so long I had to race up in the car. I did buy lunch at Iku (really yummy healthy shop) I had a red lentil and pumpkin casserole! YUMMO. So at least I felt healthy.
gotta run, dinner is on. I've fed coco, now it's tillys go, then they can have a bath together. Tim is back at uni as of tonight, so Im without him monday and tuesdays...boo hoo.
xoxo
ps I have added a couple of pics to my album xo

OMG, Let me tell you all working and having a baby is bloody hard. Not sure if it was the best idea to go back to work, think I may be a bit more stressed as I am moving house on the weekend.
Oh I just got my roster and I am working all weekend, that is going to be handy as I am moving house on the weekend.
Gotta go and get ready for tomorrow today.
Oh I may not be around much this week so I hope you all have a good one!!!
-
Dani, you are being a supermum! are you doing shift work? How do you organise care for Jett if the roster is constantly changing? I can't believe you're also moving house. Wow, what a mission, well done!!
Well we had a FABULOUS night!! Coco slept 6.45pm - 6.45am!! Not one peep. I have started topping her up on formula again and I really think the poor little miss has been hungry...I feel so bad! Anyway, was brilliant not to have to get up to her, and I think I only woke about 3 times during the night which is pretty good for me!! Tim went to uni so tilly slept in my bed and poor tim had tillys bed when he got home. Not that he minded, he was so tired. And we're right near each other anyway!!
hope everyone else had a good sleep! talk later xo

Arggghh....this is going to be a frustrated post today. Sorry girls.
Maddy is refusing to nap during the day...I thought it might have something to do with our visit to Sydney and being out of her routine; but she has refused to settle back down since we've been back. Her teeth are bothering her as well; the other night she woke up screaming in the early hours of the morning - out of the ordinary for Madeline.
Also frustrated with her eating. She's eating more but aside from some mashed potato, she REFUSES (ie. won't open up her mouth, or spits what I get in out again) to eat anything with meat or vegetables. She loves her fruit & muesli/oats/ceral based ones, and also her other sweet ones like yoghurt or custard. Oh, and she adores her baby yoghurts and screams blue murder when she finishes eating her cheese sticks.
Tuna - no. Beef and vegies - no. Chicken and vegies - no. Cheesy bolognese - no. Pumpkin & sweetcorn - no. Broccoli - no. ARGGHHHH!!! *tears hair out*
Sorry about the woe-is-me post but honestly, Maddy is just driving me crazy today. *sigh*

Beck Jasmine is pretty much the same. She wont eat anything with meat in it. She loves all her fruit/cereal/muesli breakfasty type foods, as well as her custard/yoghurt desserty type foods but instead of eating potato like Maddy, she hates potato and will eat mainly pumpkin. She will eat Pumpkin, Sweetcorn, that premade Vegetables and Rice puree and even sometimes Pumpkin and Couscous but wont touch anything with potato, carrots, peas etc etc.
Last night I thought Ok lets try tuna since we cant win with chicken or beef no matter how small quantity... so I gave her the tuna with noodles (premade) and I was like YAYAYAYAY cos she didnt screw up her face, kick her legs and purse her lips while spitting it out ......then she started pulling this really weird face and all of a sudden...... out it all came. Completely solid like she hadnt chewed it or anything. Not even digested. She just spat it all everywhere. I really dont know what Im supposed to do. Im sure she should be eating meat and different foods other than what she is, but I dont know how to. When she doesnt like something, nothing is getting past those tight lips of hers!
I cant force feed her. And if I hated food, I wouldnt be eating it either IYKWIM so I just am unsure of what now. As long as she isnt underfed or lacking nutrients I guess I will just try again in a few weeks?? Have you got a plan of action??
Its frustrating isnt it! Jasmine also woke me up the past 2 mornings at 4.30am ... I pick her up, cuddle and pat her for 10 minutes, then she does a huge "man fart" and goes straight back to sleep. I guess at the very least she goes back to sleep until 10am so its not like I miss out on sleep but I find it weird that she is stirring... and that she has such bad wind all of a sudden.
Bloody teeth. Why dont they all just come through at once? If theyre born with them, why cant they just already be there?
Sorry Beck I think Ive taken over your frustrating post and made it my own frustrated post! To top it all off Ive had AF twice in the past 4 weeks now....imagine how much fun I am to be around lol I think I might go have a lay down while Jasmine is sleeping!
Lets hope both our babies have a craving for meat tonight!!!
ETA: 12 times??? Omg Jillian thankyou for that information! I feel better! That I can do. Atleast now I have a plan to work with!! THANKYOU (didnt see you post before I started on my own rant)
-
I'm totally hearing you Kate! *arggghhh* Maddy is FINALLY down for a nap (she was actually lying in her bed with her eyes open in this trance like state she was that tired) and I've been sitting pondering what I'm gonna do about the food thing. I know I'm probably overreacting but I have these fears that she's going to be just like my niece who won't eat meat or vegies really. She literally lives on cereal, cheese, yoghurt and vegemite or honey sandwiches.
I tried the exact same tuna with noodles (can) that you tried last night, only I tried it for lunch on her today. She had a taste, screwed up her face and clamped her mouth shut. Cheeky little bugger can smell what's coming so unless it smells different, she wont eat it. *rolls eyes*
I think you're right Jillian, am going to have to just keep persevering but will try to mix in different vegies/meats with the mashed potato. I'll try to reduce the amount of potato on the plate each time til she's basically eating the 'new' item rather than so much potato.
Has anyone tried giving their babies a small piece (and I mean SMALL, so that they could swallow without choking if they don't actually chew on it) of meat that has been cooked really well? ie. some beef slow cooker meat or something? I wonder whether if Maddy has some little tiny bits of meat on her plate just like Daddy & I; whether maybe she'll try it like a finger food?
Oh and Kate {{{{hugs}}}} on the AF visits...she must have misplaced my address and come to visit you instead of me one of those times. I'm still waiting for her to come back since Maddy and boy am I dreading the first one.
-
Beck what a bummer. Do you knkow that some babys just won't eat tinned food, and you may have one of those on your hands. Maybe just for meat and veg! I know coco won't have a bar of the savoury jars, only the breakky cereal ones and thats it. If you do a big cook of pumpkin, sweet pot and some greens and freeze it, it will last quite a long while. I know it's all such effort and time consuming though.
Also I am sure that coco's reason for not sleeping was that she wasn't full enough. have you thougth of topping maddy up with formula? As of tonight I am giving coco goats milk formula, and I swear she needs it to fill up. My breastmilk must just not be enough for her, even though i will continue to feed until she wants to stop.
I hope you get some rest tonight. Same to you to Kate!
I have to run, tilly is very demanding at this time. Im missing tim on his uni nights, that's for sure xoxo

Morning ladies! :) DH got home last night and very kindly took Maddy off my hands (he was sooo tired from work) so I could soak in the bath for 1/2hr. Didn't really get to relax fully because Maddy was crying and I could hear her from the other end of the house; but it was lovely to have my own space for a few minutes.
After a feed she went to bed without much fuss, and slept 9:30pm til 6:45am this morning! :) YAYYYYY...her longest sleep ever. I got up 2 times during the night to check on her, but she just slept through even though I had to move her back to the middle of her cot because she was lying against the side of the cot.
Is anyone else feeling just a little down in the dumps at the moment? I can't seem to shake the feeling of being depressed - I think it's because Maddy's clingy at the moment and I don't get a moment to myself; as well as not really having much money, waiting to get my license so I'm stuck at home pretty much; and not working. I don't WANT to work, but I almost feel kind of lazy "just" being a SAHM. Oh, and struggling because I feel like people only come to see me when they have nothing better happening.
Sorry, I promised yesterday was my woe-is-me post; but I've been struggling for the past 48hrs. Maybe AF is on her way back?
-
Beck dont worry you are NOT alone. Why do you think i changed my hair colour!! i had hit the "groundhog wall" as my mother's group calls it. you would not believe but at least 3 of us were discussing yesterday this depressed feeling we're all feeling. And I recall the same thing when tilly was around 7/8 months. I took up smoking with tilly (which I would NOT do this time< but I was so bored and depressed I just did it), anyway this time I don't know what to do. I've discussed working, and for the same reasons you said Beck, I feel that I should be doing something else than just SAHM (although i know it's my choice etc etc) but I have one friend in particular (well a school mum not so much friend) and every week she says "what are you doing now, are you working yet" as though I couldn't possibly JUST be looking after a baby...
I know very well that it's fine to stay home, but I feel really unfulfilled at the moment. Infact when I woke up today I thought, "another day, have to get breakfast for coco, can I even be bothered". How awful is that. And like my friend in mums group said, she hates the kitchen now as she's in there 5 times a day doing baby meals...I so understand. Today my plan is going to woollies to buy even more fruit and vege to cook for coco...oh the joys...
Im tired, I feel like I live in a messy little box, I don't know what to do with my life etc etc!! Also we've got another offer on the unit (won't hold my breath) but even if we sell, we've realised we can't afford to buy, so we'll STILL end up with teh inlaws. That in itself is depressing
sorry, no more whinging....must go and put coco to bed....now that's something different...NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xoxo
PS Beck, so glad maddy did her best sleep ever, that's awesome!!
