Sarajo, sorry about your mastitis, that SUX, especially this far along. It's perfectly normal to feel very upset about stopping breastfeeding, I was quite depressed. However Im sure you'll find if you go to the bf thread, that you don't have to give up.
If however you decide to, it's best to just drop a feed continually until you're down to one or none. Maybe a few days for each feed. I have finished now (coco's choice, really upsetting) and I gradually got down to one feed and then none. I don't think though, that you'll have to give up, there must be ways around it. If you find the trigger for mastitis, you could try to avoid that.
Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. coco is growing heaps and I must add some piccies. might try to do that now. just can't believe she'll be one in just over a month!! She is still tiny and so therefore still my baby!! She doesn't stand on her own yet (did it once) and has no idea how to put one foot in front of the other, very cute!! But still, gets into EVERYTHING! She talks...says g'day, hello, Titi (for tilly) and the usual mumma's etc.

Awe I love the new pics of Coco too! how darling! Wow she has a lot of teeth compared to Abby! Too cute! I know I could go on and try to bf more, but she is so close to one and that is when I was going to stop anyhow. I dont know why I am upset and emotional about it because I have been expressing this whole time...its not like she was actually breastfeeding! Oh lol how Coco sayd g'day! hehe. So far with Abby it is just mama, dada, and oh oh! She started talking so early, and now she just kinda stopped learning new words! Oh oh is a pretty new one though. Coco will stand and everything soon enough! Abby stands but no steps on her own yet! Just while holding onto walking toys!

Well guys, we FINALLY sold our unit! SEttlement was today, so we are officially homeless!! I am REALLY angry at TIm, tell me if Im overreacting. I am having a pretty tough time lately with coco, just in that she's really really whingy and clingy. I then make dinner quite a few nights, for an extra three people, not to mention getting the older girls (tilly and holly) bathed and fed. Of course I have help alot, but I am in charge of coco so on top of all that I have coco to deal with. Tim is late mon, tues and thurs nights so I LOVE when he's home to help. But now we live further from his work he is never here for coco's baths, the time I find hardest. ANyway, today we sold so what does Tim do...go to the pub for a couple of beers. He got home at about 7.45pm. Im just so upset as I am totally and utterly exhausted, and would've thought maybe tim would come home to help (I did ring him today to say how exhausted I was and could he hurry home). I also thought maybe he'd want to celebrate or at least have half an hour over dinner where we could talk and be excited about selling. Not going to happen, he's come home way after dinner is cold, Im going to bed now and am not talking to him.
Im probably just an overtired mother, and maybe he doesn't want to just come home and help out, but it's what I do all day every day, I get no choice.
sorry for the whinge. Im off to bed. Anyone else's bub particularly clingy and sooky? coco now hates car, highchair (feeding has turned from great to difficult) pram etc etc. I am a walking time bomb at the moment, running on empty!!

OMG, I have been so slack with the posts!!!
I have had such a full on week, with a child in hospital to working 7 am shifts. I have the 7am shift thing to look forward to all next week; I have no idea how I am going to handle that.
No drama with Jett and the hospital he just had a temp of 38.9. Not to sure why it was he did get bitten by a donkey at the Geelong show (can you believe it, the only animal he would go near in the petting zoo and it bit him).
I am pretty sore today as I started at Curves yesterday. I really like that fact that you are done in 35 minutes and you have had a full workout. We will see how often I get a chance to go!!! I hope it isn’t a waste of money as I am contracted for 12 months.
Just a question does anyone have any ideas of how to stop a cat from going back to its old home? We have our cat that we thought we had lost, turns out it went back to our old place and it has been there for 3 months. We brought it back and had it inside for a week and a bit and it went back to the old place again this has happened twice now. I have no idea how to stop this?? Any help would be great.

Sarajo - I loved the camping photos. Just on question, was that a real alligator with Abby (The massive big one?). God, you look get, your hair looks fantastic. I dyed mine the other day but it is still just a big fuzz ball. I really need to straighten it for it to look any good at all.

I am so glad that I have read this as I am going mad over here. Jett won’t sleep, won’t play with his toys and won’t do anything unless it involves someone holding him or playing with him. I am going batty of a night trying to get him to sleep.
My goodness Meg, I have the same child here, hates everything.. I am so glad that you posted this it has put my mind at ease, Jett is doing all the same things as Coco.
Meg you have every right to feel that way that you do, if that was Ben I would have done the same thing.

I think alot of bubs are at the fussing, clingy stage etc....its such a nightmare! Last night I slept in tillys room (i had top bunk...not comfy) and tim had coco. She woke a few times he said (I had given her neurofen before bed as her cheeks were sooo red). Anyway, hoping we return to normal sleeping soon.
Daylight savings has begun...coco slept until 7am!!! cheating I guess, hopefully she keeps it up though!!

Hi guys....sorry, we're sick family central too. I'm fine, just a sniffly nose which is almost gone but now John's come down with the achy flu symptoms and Maddy is pretty sick. John had one of his best friends' weddings last night - we only went for a little while. I almost had a heart attack when I took her temperature at 9pm at it was 40.0. Thank god for having a doctor & a nurse in the house.

She's had moderate - high temps for three days...we nearly took her to hospital this morning as it was still over 39.0. Poor little thing, we've just gotten her a script for antibiotics & a higher dose of panadol as she has inflamed ears & throat. I want to cry everytime I look at her as she is so lethargic...trying to fight the viral infection she's got is taking it out of her.

Hope you're all doing well...so sorry to hear other babies are sick. I have so much respect for you Tiff, I don't know how you've managed to survive having the twins so sick in the past. I'm a wreck and Maddy's only had a flu with fever.

Beck, I don't think it matters if you just have one sick child, it is hard, sad and exhausting. I hope Maddy improves quickly, poor thing. I hope you're ok too and get some rest. It is so awful seeing your baby/children sick, it's heartbreaking.

Meg, Logan has also been clingy, but that is pretty usual for him it seems. It's been going on for months and it's driving me crazy some days.
Logan & I are in Mudgee for his cousin Rubys 1st birthday, which was today. I think all the people overwhelmed Logan a bit. He seemed to enjoy playing with Ruby, but she was a little bit of a bully LOL. She kept pulling his hat off, but because he has so much hair, she was actually pulling his hair too and once she pulled him to the ground by his hair, so he was not a happy boy, she also kept pinching his dummy and either sucking on it or at one point she shoved it in the sandpit! He kept getting upset when he saw his Grandpa, Michaels Dad, David. Logan isn't accustomed to seeing a lot of men, especially not men with beards so everytime David picked up Logan, he'd cry. At one point David was trying to distract Logan (I was trying to get some lunch) by holding him by the hands and letting him walk around, then he picked Logan off the ground with his hands and a few minutes later had him over his shoulder upsidedown, so his feet were in the air :eek: It was all I could do not to tell him off. Yeah I'm an overprotective Mumma.

Mel, I understand your feelings, but if it makes you feel any better, it's actually good for them to be upside down, swung around etc. Something about brain and balance development etc!! Saying that, tilly tried it with coco and I nearly DIED!! I also cringe when my brother does it to coco or tilly, it scares me to death, so I totally understand and you're not overprotective!
gotta run, we had a SHOCKING night. My; perfect sleeper woke at least 30 times. Not happy jan. Gotta go to schhool now xoxoox

*sigh* What is it about babies that like to freak you out? After three days of high temps, Maddy finally appeared to kick the fever last night, and she was fine (just tired) when we got up this morning. Got back from dropping John at the train station and was just popping her on the booby for a snack when I noticed her chest, neck, face & back were covered in a rash. FREAK OUT!!! *clutches at chest*

Anyway, after a phone call to FIL I explained the rash (after checking with MIL that she hadn't washed Maddy's dress in 'normal' washing powder) and he told me it was common for babies to come out in a rash after they've had high fevers. Said it'll probably get worse but as long as she's happy, then Maddy should be fine. He told me we can stop the Amoxil now too which I'm happy about - not too keen on having a baby of 10 months on antibiotics if I can help it.

How are all of you lovely ladies this morning? Did you have a good weekend?

Meg, you got it in one. It is the roseola virus that Maddy had/has. FIL finished up work early today so my lovely parents-in-law drove back home today to see how Maddy was doing - they're going to leave in the morning to go straight to the ferry for work.

She's still super lethargic but at least she's been smiling and chattering away today - hope she doesn't get that sick again.

{{{{hugs Meg}}}} Sounds like it's pretty rough there at the moment, truly hope you can find a house in your price range that has everything you all need VERY soon. :)

I hope all the sick babies are feeling better. This has been the first chance I have had to catch up for over a week. We went to the in-laws for a 3 night visit. When we returned home Marnie's top teeth started to come through so we have had temperatures and extremely red cheeks. One has finally popped through and now we are waiting on the other. SHe is also so clingy so I can understand where you girls are coming from. I am working all week this week and am already looking forward to Friday! I haven't worked a full week since going on maternity leave at 37weeks. It will be great money wise but I'll miss my baby. David has her for 3 days and my mum for 2 so I know she will be well looked after.

Dani how scare with Jett and the temp and the hospital and everything! I hope he is better now! There are alligators in the park, but not in the camping area, and we didnt actually take that pic...it is a pic of a pic Don took just to fool people! lol!

Camping was fun...I know it was a week ago and all, but, yes, Abby did great! She slept throught he night and everything! We brought her pack and play so she had a little crib in the tent. It worked! The only thing that was bad was the mosquitos. We tried to protect her but she still ended up all bit up! Oh well. My mastitis is getting better finally, but now that I am stopping bfing my boobs are killing me. I am down to pumping just 2 x's a day, adn I thought I would try to go just once today but I just dont think I can do it!

Secret Santa! Fun! I dont think it would be fair for me to join since whoever got Abby would have to ship to the US! Oh well!

Kate how are you? Sounds like you had a little holiday! how nice!

Halloween is tomorrow...anyone dressing up? Any of your bubs dressing up? Abby HATES her bumblebee costume so she might just be something else. I'll try it once tomorrow night, but I tried it on her last night and she sobbed!

Wow it is quiet in here! Everyone is busy with their bubs! Speaking of, I have an idea for Abby's birthday theme:
CUPCAKES! I'll make the invites a cupcake saying how our little cupcake is turning one, then I will have cupcakes instead of cake and I just bought a mold of a big cupcake I can make Abby's splat cake with! I bought some mylar cupcake balloons on ebay yesterday too! Im getting excited!

Here's a tip for all you having parties for your babies: Start singing "Happy birthday" to the babies now so that when everyone sings at the party they dont get scared! Abby LOVES the song and laughs at me everytime I sing it to her!

For trick or treat I am borrowing a butterfly costume for Abby from my neighbor. The bee just wasnt working, although was very cute to see a sobbing bumblebee I must admit! Anyway, we'll dress her up in a couple hours here and I'll be sure to (you'll never guess!) TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES! lol! Anyway, I hope everyone is well! Have a great day!!

Yep still very unwell. It sucks big time. I am dead on my feet! LOL
Anyway, perhaps you need a change of antibugs? When I had it, one antibiotic didn't kick it , so they put me on another, stronger and all my symptoms were gone in 48 hours...just a thought.

Tiggy, poor you. Is it because all the older siblings bring home illnesses? I have found coco gets sooo much more sick than tilly everdid. Anyway, Im thinking of you adn the twins and hope they're better really soon.

Well Miss Madeline is almost better. She has that rash (roseola one) but it's getting steadily better. We went to the 'babes in arms' session of 'Boytown' today at the cinema and she fed & slept the whole way through it. She's in fine form this afternoon because of the nap, chattering away and basically trashing the lounge room! hehe

HUGE HUGS to all the sick bubs and their mummy's! I hope all of your little ones get better soon! Jasmine has been pretty lucky in the sick department, however today we had swimming lessons and she refuses to close her mouth when she goes underwater, so she swallowed like half the pool, so were bound to be sick very soon! *cry*

I was chatting to a friend of mine about Jasmines first birthday party, and now Im unsure about it! She said this would be the time for people to say "Hey we wont see you before Xmas, so here is both presents, or one big one" and thats when it will all start. Im not fussed on presents, Jasmine has more than enough for 5 babies, let alone one.... but I dont want people to think her birthday isnt important enough to separate from Xmas? KWIM? Im trying to think of a way to combat it. Nicely. Perhaps on the invite? I dont know. I know for sure I will be HUGELY ****ed off at the person who does it. Or people. So best if I nip it in the bud right off!

Oh I put a few new photos up of Jasmine too. I wanted to upload heaps of videos, but it has a limit! (They didnt tell me that when I signed up and paid for the bloody thing) So I will upload new ones next week or something! But there is a few of her at the beach, and that! Ohhhhh and did I tell you that her hair is curling? It wont sit flat anymore, and since I dont have to put oil on her scalp ( I did that for months to make sure no cradle cap) its soo unmanagable!

Talk about clingy babies.... its cling central here. Im just a bit overwhelmed with it all right now. Jasmine wont go in the car without a fight, wont stay in the pram without a tantrum and omg if she wakes and she is in her cot, all hell breaks loose. Ive taken to putting her in our bed, but its not working and it has to stop tonight. I just cant sleep with her in there, neither can Michael. She sleeps right through like normal, but she does 360's and usually ends up sleeping on/right next to my face. I understand she needs the comfort (new teeth) but I just cant survive on 2 hours sleep and having my legs cramp up and my back ache! We have a King Bed too, so you can imagine how much of a bed hog Miss Jasmine is!

Dont know how I can say this after my last post, but we went to a make-up class for Gymbaroo that we missed out on, and it was the newborn little babies class. Omg I was sooooo clucky checking them all out. Jasmine was loving it. Im thinking maybe we might really start TTC. Now if only I could understand how to TTC everything would be cool LOL! I went to fertility friend, and got lost in about 2 minutes. So overwhelming! Temperatures, Mucous (yuck) all too much for me. Maybe I should see my OBGYN, or just DTD lots and lots LOL I dont know!!

OK I must go bath Jasmine and get her ready for bed. Swimming wore her out. Me too! Feel like Ive had a total work out

Yep Kate - Fertility Friend confuses me so much. I will definitely need to stop breastfeeding as Dave and I have been TTC for at least 3 months (sorry if this is not a long time for anyone else!) but we fell straight away as soon as I went off the pill before and I have been off the pill since I was 6 months post Marnie's birth. I get very confused in the threads about TTC.
Anyway change the subject!
I also agree about birthdays and christmas - they are two separate events! I don't think there would be a nice way to let people who give the same present for both, know that you don't like it.

Way to go on Coco sleeping throught Meg. Marnie was doing this for a while but the last 2 nights has decided to wake up through the night. She only needs a little cuddle and goes back to sleep - but it is a nightmare for me as now I am used to sleeping through too!
Now I can hear her cry and she has only been asleep for 30 minutes! And wouldn't you know it Dave's in the shed!

Abby's birthday is Dec 22 and I am having her party Dec 3rd so that it is far from Christmas! We are going to have to deal with this their whole lives!!! I was hoping she would be born a little early so that she would have a birthday far from Christmas and she came late! Oh well!

TTC! How exciting! You guys figure the whole fertility griend thing out so you can explain it to me when we start trying next summer! lol!

Sorry Kate, totally forgotten the password, I've tried everything!! How exciting about TTC!! My theory is to DTD every second day for the month!! (Well we did it for about 10 days and it worked)! Then if it is taking more than a few months, you can start to chart. I just think for the first go, it's too much pressure to start charting, and you're already causing stress and things may not happen so fast.
Sarajo, Abby looked gorgeous as a butterfly! SO cute. Tilly would LOVE to come to the US for Halloween. She wanted to trick or treat this year but MIL doesn't believe in it, so Holly couldn't come and Tilly didn't want to go with just me. I said next year she'll have new friends in the area and we'll go with them!
Sarajo, no packing yet, we are staying here until we buy. Have found a house, but the bargaining process is taking a while, very nervewracking!
Gotta run, have to get everyone out of the house for school and work, there's not much time in the mornings anymore!!

Sarajo your photos are gorgeous - you are so adventurous to take Abby camping! We have just visited David's parents on their farm - and living in their house for three nights would almost be considered camping! Not much more to say about that except that I had to clean their house BEFORE we could sleep! Gross.
I am so tired from working all this week - one day to go. I can't believe I used to work full time! It's also gave me a good indication of how it will be next year going back and am so glad I have opted for 3 days only. David has been a godsend this week looking after our Marnie Moo. All the washing has been done (except for the ironing - I can't say I blame him) and the house is clean. I think he has also had a bit of a wake up call himself. He asked me yesterday how I cleaned the house and looked after Marnie at the same time. How do I fit everything in? The joys of multi tasking I told him - which is evidently beyond the male species!!
Everyone sounds so busy.
Kate - I hope your TTC works out for you. Are you still breastfeeding? I know this has played havoc with my cycle and am considering stopping to increase my chances of becoming pregnant. Has anyone got any tips for me with regards to falling pregnant whilst b/f as I would really like to continue? If not how do you wean when you want to stop? I should check out the threads.

Just a quick pop in. I seriously cant leave Jasmine for a moment. She is into everything. Opens up every cupboard she can, opens drawers, everything! If she cant reach something, she scrunches her face up and fake cries!

Renee I didnt BF at all so I cant help you there Im sorry. I hope youre TTC works out also. Im already having second thoughts! I keep changing my mind! One moment I cant wait and I want another baby, the next Im just so happy with Jasmine and my family as it is I dont want to change it. I just dont know! Tomorrow I will be clucky again, just watch! I was thinking of posting in the TTC forum and see if anyone could give me a very basic run down. If I do, I'll let you know, hopefully someone can break it down for us! Ive had many problems with my cycles, due to polycystic ovaries and even though they seem fairly regular now, I just never can tell. So Im sure thats going to present a problem to me at some stage. It never did before, but only because I was lead to believe kids were out of the question for me!

I thought of having Jasmines birthday early, but Ive settled on Sunday 17th, so its actually 2 days after her birthday. I spoke to mostly everyone yesterday and they all reminded me that we all get together on Christmas Eve to exchange gifts anyway so why would they leave Jasmine out on that night? I feel so much better. Cant believe I forgot about Xmas Eve! Ive been going to the same party for the past 12 years LOL!! Ive also scrapped the Dora theme for Jasmines party. I think its a bit too old for her, and when she is more into it I think I will give her one later. So for now, I need to think of something more baby like!

Meg YAY on the bargaining with the house. I hope it works out quickly and for the price you want! I bet you will be so happy when all of this stress is over with and youre in your own house with your own space! Im excited for you.

Tiggy how are your babies? I think of you and them often and I hope Ivy is well. Its so not fair. They havent had an easy time. Neither have you! I hope things are better, or on the way to being better anyway.
Beck I think I need to come up there and take your license away from you! I miss seeing your posts here. Youre too busy! BTW LOVE the blog! How good are you at writing! Its so readable IYKWIM?

Kate, I know what you mean about being clucky one day and then not the next! I'ts a big scary decision, one that we are planing on not making, but then you never know!
Now for our news.... they ACCEPTED our offer! Our little house could soon be ours! Im not going to get too excited because we all know what can happen (particularly after the unit losing so many potential buyers)., but we're hopeful and a little excited!!!! The new solicitor we've got is powering along. We onlyfound out today and already he's organised a building inspection for tomorrow!
anyway, must run and get tilly organised for bed. Hope everyone is doing well. I have my 15 year school reunion tomorrow night. How OLD do I feel!

Thanks Kate! If you can work it all out I'd love to know your findings. I think breastfeeding is definitely hindering our chances so we have decided after David's next night shift panel we are going to stop. I am a little sad about it and David doesn't know why! I can't explain it just that it is the only thing Marnie is totally dependent on just me. It's such a special time - but I am sure she would much rather a brother or sister so I'll let you all know how it goes!
Congratulations Meg on the house - how little is it? Our house is small or cosy as I'd like to put it but it's suits us down to the ground. I hope your solicitor gets it all sorted out - it seemed like it took ages for our house to settle - but it was probably because we were so impatient.

Hello.. Sorry, I do keep checking in, but never think of anything to write heh

I just got home from a nice night out with a friend. I stayed out way past when I should have been home considering I just said we were going to a movie, but Logan is asleep in his cot and I didn't get any messages saying I had to go home so all must have been ok.

Logan got his hair cut today. I have had people saying I didn't really need to, but it was growing over his ear and looking a little scruffy so I just got it trimmed. I took a couple of photos on my phone, I will try to put them up some time. I have some really bad quality videos up on Logans photobucket site (I wanted to see how they'd look and can't be bothered taking them down yet), plus some photos from our weekend in Mudgee

I just want to say I am trying to get around to looking at all the beautiful baby pics you all have, I think I am almost done, for now until there are more. I must say we have a gorgeous bunch of babies in this group.. Not that I am biased.. oh no.. LOL

Meg, Yay! Your family may soon have a house, how exciting! I hope it all goes the way you want it to.

Kate, I have been getting clucky too, but I also know there is no way I could keep up with everything if I were pregnant at the moment.. that and the lack of anyone to make babies with makes it all a little hard to accomplish. ha. But I do miss being pregnant, despite how tired I was of being pregnant by the end of it. I am going to stop talking about that now otherwise I will ramble on..

I am going ok, been a bit down lately, but I think I've just let things get on top of me again. I had my last class last Wednesday (well, exam briefing) and have my first exam on this coming Wednesday. I'm so terrified, doing a practice exam helped a little (I think I did alright in it, 72%), but still, I just get stressed by exams.

Everything is a bit.. up & down. But I won't get in to that.

Sorry I really need to get some sleep, sorry if I've missed people.

Mel, I hope lyou're feeling better soon. I think that for any mum there are times when they're up and down, but you are doing SO much and probably not sleeping as well etc, so things are bound to get on top of you. Just know htat you're amazing and doing a great job. I think that if you do get depressed, being busy is one of the best things you can do (having suffered depression in the past), and you're certainly doing that. Keep it up, you will be proud of yourself when you finish uni (and all the way through) and that also is important.
Renee, I totally hear you on finishing breastfeeding. It is very sad. You could show your husband a thread on belly belly about stopping breastfeeding, it is a very emotional and sad time for alot of women. Because Coco weaned herself I still feel sad (just this morning I was reminiscing!!). I tried to feed her the other day and she literally laughed at me and blew a raspberry at my boob!! It's one of those things, but at least if you're having another one you'll get to feed again. Then you can continue on for as long as you want (unless you go for number 3)!!!!
hope everyone has a good day. Tilly has a jazz concert today, she's very excited. Im very annoyed. She's in one dance and her STUPID teacher went and put a whole other class in front of hers so we can't see Tillys class. How slack is that. THey could've taught the two different classes different dances so they could do a separate show for the parents. Anyway, not to worry, we'll be swapping dance schools next year!
Keep fingers crossed for our house. Tim is going over this morning to be there for the building inspection. It's all very nervewracking, i just want my house!!
By the way, it's 3 bed, very small and cosy, one bathroom, has a nice kiddy backyard. Also there is a garage that is not used underneath so we will convert it to a guest room. Im so nervous but excited!!! xoxoxo

Thanks for all of the thoughts and wishes regarding "Ivy always sick". She is alot better today, was better yesterday and MUCH happier. We are bed swapping this weekend, putting Ivy and Lily in together and Noah in by himself. He has become a shocking night sleeper and so we thought Ivy might have a chance of sleeping through if she were away from him. We have six bedrooms so there is the option of both babies going in seperate rooms but Lily has been hanging to share with her little sister. What do you think? Is it crazy?

Mel, hun, I think of you often and wonder how you are going. Sorry that things have been up and down lately, I completely understand. What Meg says is true. It's something every Mum goes through. You give yourself such a hard time. You are amazing! A wonderful Mum, going to Uni, handling XDF and all the other things that go along with life. 72% is fantastic for a practise exam, you should be really proud of yourself.
Hope that you get some rest soon, cute at Logan's first haircut. Noah is just about due for his third! Ivy hasn't had one yet.

Meg, YAY! I hope everything goes smoothly for you and your 'little' home. It sounds just perfect. Poo to the dance teacher! Sounds as though a change will be a good thing.
The girls concert is on the 3rd of December but the first rehersal is tomorrow. I'm on costume making duty this weekend and Dave is looking after the babies and the big kids (you can see by my lengthy post that I am really VERY involved with the costume making, LOL).

Renee, Ditto what our wise Meg has said. I still feel sad about not BFing anymore. The twins are my last babies and I won't have that opportunity ever again. I cried for weeks after Ivy spat me out!
