Babies Born December 2005 #19

Cheeky_monkey yes, I once tried taking all milk products our of her diet and there was no change. I called her paed yesterday and they are starting he back up on her reflux meds...prevacid. If that doesnt work it is back to the gastro specialist! I'm glad Gemma is better of it! When are you going to try to introduce milk into her diet again?

Tiff I find myself not taking Abby anywhere because I know what a hassel it will be to change her (and sometime my) clothes at least once while we're out. It is so unfair to her. And the poor thing, even if I change her clothes, she still stinks of vomit. How do you deal with this with Ivy? I cant wait till both our babies are better of this!

Good news, even though Abby threw up 4 times yesterday she kept dinner down, which in turn let her sleep better last night. She woke up only 2 times and not for long either time!

I really feel like I have a newborn again! lol!

Hope you all are doing well! Melly good job on your exams! Just checked out the photos, and OMG you are so brave to give him a chocolate cake! lol! How adorable! He did have it everywhere didnt he! The cake is so unique and fun! How did you make it? Great job!! Logan is such a cutie! I love seeing pics of him! :)

Sarajo, i really feel for you. Do try a chiropractor as well, it could be the answer if it's not allergies.
i tried giving coco some cows milk yesterday. She wasnt' impressed, but luckily she seemed ok. Just a bit of excma on her face. It's hard when you have to cut things out, trying to make meals with no egg is a real pain. (I'd loveto be able to give her scrambled egg or omlette). Anyway, I hope Abby starts to improve, it must be upsetting for you. She looks very healthy though and is a gorgeous bub.
Hope everyone else is doing well. I went to dinner last night with mums from school and Im feeling a bit worse for wear at the moment. The wine glasses were HUGE and I had about 3, so feeling icky. And I have to work today....always the way!

I hear you on the no going out. Ivy does always smell like vomit but sometimes you just have to go. We go to the chiro - just as Meg has suggested and there is a big difference in the days she has her ajustments to the days she doesn't.
Other than that, I just take plenty of changes and face washers when I go out.

Hope the meds work for your Abbygirl. I haven't heard of the medication that she is on but I hope it works. If you have to go back to the gastrologist, will he be talking surgery?

Not sure what the gastro will say...I am going to set up an appointment with him here today. I know the appointment will probably be in late January...those doctors are so had to get in to! Anyway, I'll mention chiro to my her paed tomorrow.

Yep, tomorrow Abby is going BACK to the paed again! She has a cough adn runny nose that started out of no where today and I want to make sure her ear infection isnt back before we go on holiday to Georgia! (Is that how you all use the word 'holiday'? Here we call it vacation, and holidays are just Christmas, Easter, etc!) Anyway, that way if need be she can be on antibiotics before we leave thursday. I am so tired today! She is super clingy because she isnt feeling well. I dont mean to complain! I know I am sooo blessed to have her and she is really healthy all in all and I feel really guilty for complaining sometimes! well, off to do laundry and pack for the trip! I am over the moon about going to see my parents and sisters!! AND My nephew...remember the one that was born 5 weeks before Abby-girl? Yep! I havent seen him in 6 months, so I am sooo excited!! He is walking! (has been since 10 months!!) Maybe he'll teach Abby how! ;)

It's the season over there, I guess for all the coughs and colds. I hope she doesn't have another middle ear infection but have to say that I have found that Ivy has heaps of them and our paed suggested that it went along with the reflux and vomiting.
Ivy is mega cranky today with her glands all up. SHe had allergy testing yesterday and came up allergic to everything. I am so sad for her and for me too. *SIGH*
Anyhow, Hope that Abby feels better soon and that you have a FANTASTIC holiday!!!!

Callum Melissa DH and I are well and just getting last minute things ready for Christmas. So if im not on you know im busy and then up at mums.

Oh and by the way. Melissa my 13 year old has a boyfriend. HMmmmm. He is a nice boy and he lives 2 doors down from us. Aparently he held her hand last night when he was over. DH would hit the roof if he new. LOL. oh well at least they were here and I can keep an eye on them.

Tiggy, can I just ask, who did you get Ivy allergy tested with. Im sorry to hear she's allergic. I have to get coco tested, it's too stressful testing all the foods on her. After her egg reaction Im also scared about trying new things.
Sarajo, you are not complaining, I take my hat off to you, I don't think I'd be so patient with a constant vomiter. You're doing a great job and all mums deserve a whinge, it doesn't mean we don't appreciate our little bundles!!!

Well we have had an exciting after noon. Melissa and I were sitting in the front lounge room with Callum standing holding onto the lounge just looking at Melissa, When all of a sudden he started walking to her. Both mine and Mels mouth dropped and we couldnt believe it. Now cause we lol @him and cheerd he has started doing it all the time. He is getting good at it now. Very scary as he fall and im scared he will hurt him self. But he is doing well. Oh and he has started saying ta and waving byebye.

I feel abit funny talking as alot of you are going through tuff times and we are doing fine. Im sorry. I dont know what to say Im not bragging. Ok i'll shut up now.

YAY Callum!! Missy please please please dont shut up! lol! I love to hear good newses!! I love to hear milestones too! That is so wonderful! :) So he just started walking out of nowhere? Wow what a big boy!! Any waving and saying ta! how cute! My nephew started walking when he was 10 months too, it is so amazing some babies can do that! I think they look so cute because they dont even look big enough to walk and they just toddle right along!!

Tiff sorry about the allergies! So what is she allergic to? Was it only foods you had her tested with, or animals and pollens and mold too? Poor Ivy! Poor Tiff! Can they give her something that will help, like a needle or some medicine?

Hey all! Just got back from the docs and Abby just has a cold! no ear infection!!! Woohoo! So thats good! Her weight hasnt gone up from her last checkup which was 1.5 weeks ago, but at least she didnt lose weight! I asked about her tummy issues adn my options with Chiro, allergies, etc. and she really doesnt want to be very involved...she said to set up the appt with the specialist and go from there. She is very helpful, I just think Abbys case is over her head. Oh well! I called for an appt with the gastro doc and they havent called back yet.

Tomorrow we leave to see my parents! And my sisters and nephew get there Saturday! Yipee! I am so excited my tummy is doing somersults!! :)

Oh and one more bit of good news! Abby has not vomited yet today and it is past 3:00 pm!! Woohooo!! today is just a good day all around! I hope all your days are going as wonderfully!

I cant believe this time last year, I was in hospital, about to give birth! So scary! Honestly, did this year fly or what?

Missy, love the new ticker. YAY for Callum walking. Thats so cute!!! Please brag all you like! Im happy to hear all about Callum. Never feel bad about sharing your news! Woah @ Miss 13 having a boyfriend. Might have to keep an eye on that one. Its so cute, but a little scary at the same time! Im sure you have a good smart daughter there with not much to worry about! Kids these days just seem so much older than we did when we were that age KWIM?

Meg, How is work going? I tried Jasmine on cows milk again yesterday. She hates it! She literally spat it out, with a raspberry noise and all. I changed her formula though, put her on Toddler, instead of Follow On Formula and she didnt even notice LOL! She is much more of a water drinker than anything else these days. I wonder if thats ok? I have to get her shots next week so I might as well check it out. I dont know what she should be having now. Shes happy though, and when she wants something, she points to it so Im sure if she wanted more she would let me know!

Tiggy, I am so sorry to hear Ivy has allergies. Are they managable? Can she grow out of them? Thats horrible. I think its so unfair for you and your family. I will be thinking of you, especially William with the holiday period approaching. It must be so hard. Im so sorry. I wish so much that you didnt have to go through so much, every day. I hope Santa brings you and your family happiness and health.

Sarajo Poor Abby girl! Im glad she has no cold and no ear infection! Still it must be horrible with this reflux. I hope it can be fixed asap. Hopefully she might even grow out of it on her own. She just looks like such a happy baby, you would never pick her to be so ill. It sounds horrible, I feel so bad, as if I almost didnt realise how bad it has been for you & Abby. I wish I could help. I hope you have a great time visiting your family. Im sure that will be so much fun, and a much deserved break!! Please come here and whinge, vent, yell even anytime you like.

Im sorry to those I have missed out again. Im just going back as far as this page will let me.

Im so excited. Over the past couple of weeks I have gotten in touch with my old best friend and Im so happy. Even though she has moved about 4 hours away, Im still able to chat to her. We used to ring each other up to 5 times a day before, and we even worked together at that! I think we stopped being friends because we had such different lives, she has 3 daughters and a husband, and when we were friends I was single and obviously had no children. Plus she is 11 years older than me too. Anyway its like we never stopped talking (even though its been 6+years:eek: ) So yeah anyway she is coming down for Jasmines party on Sunday with her family. Im excited about that!
