Girls I haven't been able to keep up with what everyone is doing lately as my baby girl has gone from dream sleeper to monster!! Tonigh is the third night - one last Wednesday, last nighand tonight that she is wide awake and wants to play.
She will sleep for about 45mins when put down at 7 then it's all over she wants to party!! for about another 2 hours or so. What is going on? Is anyone else had this? She is happy, not crying or anything so I have ruled out teeth or any pains.
She has four bottles each day and solids.
Help please!
Kts: Olivia is the same at the moment..just wants to play sing party...
I just relax and try not force her to go back to bed.. We cuddle up and watch tv and when I pick up the signs I feed her again and pop her in her bed and she goes back to sleep

Thanks AussieNic atleast I know I'm not the only one. She is so happy and laughing but she is ment to be asleep.
Is anyone else going through this too? I thought maybe she doesn't need he nap in the afternoon any more, maybe it is recharging her batteries just a little too much.
She is sleeping about two hours in the morning the two from 1pm then about 45min around 4:30ish.
KT, atleast your getting sleep in the day time from her. I get barely any of a day and then Abbey is up 4 or 5 times overnight.
Went to my support my gf have her baby lastnight, I got to the hosp around 10.30pm, she was checked out around 11.30pm after they had been there for a few hours and was only 3cm, bub was born by 2.15am, A nice healthy 3.7kg little boy they named Jesse. I am stuffed, got home around 4.30 am and DP was snoring ! I couldn't get to sleep and then Abbey woke at 5.30. DP has taken today off so hopefully I can get some sleep later on today. I'm going to crash something shocking otherwise.
Hi everyone...we are back home now :dance: Vicky has recovered really well and hopefully we wont have to do that again in a hurry. The Mater was relly good but my goodness the beds they have for the parents are so damn uncomfortable and with all the different stuff going on you're lucky to get 2hrs sleep at a time. DP has taken today off as well to give me a hand with everything. Thank you for all your well wishes.
Trish - Great to hear your getting into your doula work now and congrats on last nights delivery. I hope Abbey doesn't get too sick this time and that you get some sleep today.
kts64s - :hug: i hope your DD gets into a better rhythm for you soon. I'm with Trish tho I'd love it if mine would sleep during the day and atm she is feeding 3 hrly around the clock...grrrrrrrrrr.

didnt get to go to playgroup today, they had a black out, so have to wait till next week to weigh Ash.
Had the ppl who brought the house came today to measure things to do reno stuff.. guess that means they wont be changing there mind! :) plus the realestate agent wants to still open the house this weekend and they said "nooooooo pls dont we'll give the deposit now" lol so thats good news.
went to the doctors today to talk to her about my cramps and ttc she said ill be lucky if it happened now but my iron levels need to go up some more so had that tested today so fingers crossed ill find out on friday and its ok.

Lauren, I haven't been able to get on Bb properly for the last 2 days. Everytime I do the site is down :(
I have managed to get 2 20 minute at the most sleeps today !! If I wasn't tired enough this morning I am purely exhausted now. Spose I should get used to it. Fingers crossed more babies come in the day time for me :D
I got sick last night at the birth. Not sure if it was because of her episiotomy or not, maybe just bad timing as I am still nauseus now and feel like spewing. Thinking I may have a bug. Means I probably shouldn't go in to see bub today.
I didn't get a cuddle this morning but that's ok, plenty of time for that later.
Trish: Congrats again to your friend :) Glad you got some rest today.. you certainly deserved it

Needles went well.. Olivia cried for about 2 seconds. No pain or any signs of having had needles today :) Silly Dr measured her wrong, I should have said something but didn't see the point seeing as she was measured at the peads 2 weeks ago.. she put her head at the 12cm mark :rolleyes: So according to her Olivia grew 10cm in 2 weeks :lol: and then she kept commenting on how tall she was HAHA.. Anyways Official stats.. 8.1kg (dressed) and 66cm.. (or 76 if you go by Drs lol) and a 42cm head..
Am hoping for a good night here cus this afternoon i fell asleep when Olivia was and I didn't hear her crying for ages.. I fell asleep on the lounge floor and she was full on screaming when I woke. woops! jacob had a day sleep today as well woooo.. Simon was out getting Ethan from school and had isaac.. but on a good note I got 20 mins sleep. Jacob woke at 11 and was cracking it and woke Olivia so i didn't get to bed till almost 1am.. and then he cried on and off during the night.. goodness knows whats going on with him lately...
Well All Crap woops i mean all saints is on now and I must get my weekly dose :)
Hmm just a quick one, I've typed out 3 so far and they keep getting eaten by the computer when I'm trying to post- is it just me or is everyone having some probs with the site?

Trish- Glad the birth went well. Hope you're not too sick. I don't remember much from when Ty was born but I do remember my bf coming in and immediantly throwing up, and me crying saying 'wtf are you throwing up for?'

I snuck off to watch Sex and the City tonight, it was great. And dh managed to bath and feed and get Ty off to sleep. Yay!!

Good Luck for your needles today. Well Ty's.. Olivia is just fine. Slept ok. She felt a little warm when I got up with her just before but it might have been cus she was cuddled up with me so just waiting to see if she cools down.. She is happy though

yeh BB has grown so big they need to put in a bigger server. so it will be down whilst they upgrade but if you keep trying im sure itll be getting better soon. :)

When you are expressing and u said u got 120mls in 1 1/2 hours, did u just express and put it in the fridge and keep topping up as u 'refilled' ?
My left boob was so sore today at lunch time and i just realised i had been feeding ash on my right since last night derrrrr.. lol and so i expressed and got 140mls in 10mins from the one boobie.. LOL ouchies..

Needles went ok. I was worried Ty would be hysterical like he was last time- inconsolable for an hour- but he had a big scream and cry and then had a cuddle and a feed and was ok again. He's been very out of sorts for the rest of the day, grumpy with a few runny poos, but I think he's ok now.
Lauren- lol at the expressing. I can get 280mls(and then have to stop coz the bottle's full) on the days I'm at work- I don't express while I'm there so I do a big one when I get home.
Got the email bout the site today. It is nice to know it's not just my Internet connection :)
Hmmm, that's about it for me today. Ho hum.

yeh its been a hohum day for me too.. i am so tired. Stupid period is on a 14 day cycle so I wonder if thats got something to do with this tiredness. (ps not heavy tmi) Anyways Tired of changing pooey nappies.. Olivia did 6 today and will no doubt have a few over night.. sigh.. stupid solids.. I am sure thats the reason anyways.. her body getting used to it all

Lauren - Gympie is a nice little town. We always stop (usually at Maccas or the shopping centre) on our way to Bundy. I must say don't leave your woolie jumpers in Melbourne because Gympie get really cold in winter and extremely hot in summer. You will only be 2.5 hours away from Brisbane so please drop us a line if you come to Bris Vegas.
Hi to everyone else. I have been busy moving. I am so wrapped with our new home and the area is lovely. We are busy painting and patching at the moment.
Miss Loren has crawled a few times, but she prefers comando style. She is not that interested in solids, although she will take oat cereal and a bit of apple. She is teething atm and gets really cranky when she can't have a good chew!!! She weighed in at 8.1kgs and is 69cms....She is such a chubba!!!
Anyways best go for now as I have bottles to clean:(

Well Miss olivia is now awake happily sitting in daddys arms.. and surprise surprise gassy gassy!! Olivia not daddy :)
Nic - Loren gets really gassy at night. Lately I have been doing a belly massage and lying her down and crossing her legs over her body and I think she is more settled over night. Oh yeah co-sleeping from 4am is also working a treat, although Loren sleeps well but mummy and daddy don't. We are only a double bed atm!!! Tell me about the crawling bisso...My tiny newborn is going to be one in 6 months.
