Hi Everyone,
I am still really busy with settling into our new house and I decided to give BB a break for a bit and spend time with DH in the evenings. Thats not to say that I have not missed everyone:)
Quick update on Loren. The little buggar is pulling herself up on furniture now!!! OMG I can't take my eyes off her when she is playing on the floor. I have started to do some sleep training with her because her sleep habits where going from poor to bad and I was going insane due to lack of sleep. So far it seems to be working and I feel like a human again. Loren is still not keen on solids but she will eat a couple of tabelspoons of food 2 per day. Foods introduced so far are pumpkin, sweet tato, banana, pear, apple and cereal. Next on the list is avocado!!!!
HUGS to all...I am going to scedule in some serious BB time in the next few days.

-
Buzzie - All the best with sorting out your issues with your ex and his family.
Question - Does anyone know what the littelegreen square(s) at the top right corner, under our mood is?
-
hmmm I don't know? i wonder if it means we are online?
ETA: I think it might have something to do with reputation points
weird..
Well my poor baby girl has sore gums :( Her 4 top teeth are coming i think.. Her eye teeth are pressing really hard.. not broken through yet but hard and white.. I hope she sleeps tonight though. se only slept for 40 mins this morning and about 20 this afternoon and thats it.. never had such a sleepless day before. how you other mummies do it I don't know. I was more exhausted lol
-
Nic - Good night vibes coming your way...Bloody teeth they are a problem from when we get them till when we lose them!!!!!
-
Bek I was wondering what the green squares were too...
OMG I am so over the screaming!!!!! Olivia is perfectly happy to sit around all day and scream at the top of her lungs. Today we were home all day and I swear she screamed for 80% of the time! She was happy and had attention, she has just decided that she likes to scream at the moment :-( I swear it is so draining to have it go on all day. Experienced mums please tell me it is just a phase, a really short phase, that she will soon get over.....
-
I am assuming its a phase too.. Olivia started this today and a few days last week.. Just crying for attention basically.. I wonder if it is a frustration thing.. They kknow they can move thier bodies but can't quite work it out...
-
Nic, Olivia isn't even crying/grizzling at all. She just screams - as if someone is after her! I am scared the neighbours are going to come bursting through the door to 'rescue the poor screaming baby from the horrible mother'
-
When my kids have *melt* downs like that I feel the same.. Like the neighbours are going to think I am hurting them or something. I usually go out the front lol.. wander round like I have something to do while they are screaming so they can see its not me..
Well Olivia slept all night **dance** She woke briefly at 11 but I just popped her in bed with me and she slept till 6.. I didn't sleep so great as Olivia kept snoring  and Jacob woke me at 4 to go to the toilet but overall I got better rest then normal..
Today I am just going to let Olivia sleep on me for her sleeps. Simon is asleep today so I can't put her in her own bed and it makes for a very long day otherwise with checking on her constantly cus she is another room and not on her monitor ect ect ect..
Well the miss is grumpy now. Prob got to much milk from my lopsided booby..
why does just one breast get very full and sore when she sleeps through? I try to feed evenly and I honestly thought I fed very evenly yesterday but yet again one side very sore and huge!!
oh and **sniff** 3 more days and my baby is 8 months old. when did that happen.. 8 months is like all grown up and moved out of home hehe
-
Bekz - the green squares are your reputation on BB - check out Trishs and the amount of posts shes done... it increases the more you post. - Alicia yours is black because you have disabled yours so its not counting.
Nic- that so cute Olivia snores!!! obviously not for you tho. hehe
Well i didnt end up going out, Ash was out for the night, I put him down at 5pm and that was it till 6.30am this morning, the earlier hes going to bed the earlier he wakes so i try not to get his arvo sleep to late, but his needles obviously knocked him out.
-
Wow what a sleep Lauren! extremely jealous.
Kayla's got a red raw bum at the moment, cos she keeps doing little plugs of poo that I'm not noticing u ntil a regular nappy change! And I think when she wees at night it stings her little bottom :( So she lets out quite a scream.
My tooth is playing up again.. which can only mean one thing. $2000 needs to be spent on it :( Antibiotics cleared it up last time, but it's flared up again, which basically means the root canal therapy has failed. mind you, I had that done many years ago.. but dentist reckons it happens. Where the hell am I gonna find money like that? I mean, I'm sure I can scrounge it up, but it's gonna hurt :(
-
omg what a sleep Lauren!! Wow thats impressive...
Why do dentists need to charge so much? they realy need to bring something to help people pay for it.. not neccesarily medicare but something like it..
I hope your tooth pain eases up a bit for you though
-
Liz - What are you having done to it? a re treat endodontics? Antibiotics will NEVER fix a problem, it is just a bandaid, you can go on antibiotics for the next 5 years but it will still flare up, unfortunatly in dentistry you get it fixed or take it out, there no alternative. Re treating a root filled tooth is so risky and theres a chance you can still loose it, so u need to think if its what you want, just make sure its a damn good specialist doing it.
And to answer why dentist charge so much, i wondered that also until i worked for them, yes they do make VERY good money, but the cost involved that they spend are massive, the cost of the chair alone is the same as a small car!! Just for one hand piece is $600!! and dentists usually have at least 10. Alot of things are also breaking down very easily so they are forever replacing things.
The machince the specialist use to do a root canal cost $10,000-$15,000 And there microscope is $25,000- $50,000! and thats not including the million other tools they use.Hope that explains a little... LOL
Nic - we have a payment plan thing here, dunno if you have it, but its just for medical things and you can pay like a loan repayment, mind you the intrest sux, but i guess some people dont have a choice..
-
Yeah, he's going to refer me to a specialist to have it re-done.. but he said the chance of it working was only 30% or something stupid. So I have to pay MORE to see a specialist (because dentists don't re-do root canal.. something stupid to do with litigation.. that they should have referred on to a specialist.. argh.. dentist could do it for $800!!) but paying all this extra money still is only a small success rate. *sigh*. Bit sad to lose my tooth entirely. Will chat to the dentist about it. It's one of my main chewing teeth!
I know the AB were just a quick fix.. he needed to settle it anyway.. he wasn't sure AB would work either..well.. it didn't flare up immediately after so nothing else was done.
However, I would happily go on AB right now just to delay it LOL. coz I don't have a baby sitter until mum gets back! How do people survive without their mums around??? I hate to ask friends to look after em, especially since Tallon is coughing and stuff. I wonder if it's cheaper to go to the GP and lie and say I've got green stuff coming out of my nose and she can give me some AB. LOL.. hmmmm...
-
OH LIZ.. trust me DONT see a general dentist for it!! garentee you WILL lose it! A specialist has the most amazing pieces of tools! And they are used to doing re treats.. Dentist will NOT do half as good job! the moneys worth it if you want that 30% chance to save it! - Plus he will say get a crown on it too if you havent already, that would be another $2000.
Its just penicillin they give you, go to ur GP and say my wisdom teeth are hurting and im planning to take them out but i was recomended AB till i can afford it in the near future...
wow all this dental talk i feel like im back at work. hehe, i kinda miss it.... lol
-
Hi all,
Ouch. All this teeth talk is making mine hurt. I hate the dentist. I'm terrified of the pain and the sound of the drill and I totally agree with Nic- they need some kind of Medicare style plan for the cost.
Alicia- we get the screaming here too. I think it's part wanting to crawl frustration and part attention- Ty's such an attention seeker at the moment :) He wants all eyes on him at all times!! And I worry about what the neighbours think too  Even when dh has got him, I call out to him to check it's all ok- so the neighbours don't see me wandering around and hear this screaming bub and think I'm just leaving him to cry!
Nic- Ty snores too lol. Between him and dh i need earplugs. Dh tells me I snore too but I don't believe it!!! Lol at the lopsided boob. I always seem to have one bigger than the other because I forget to roll over and swap sides at night.
Lauren- Oh if only Ty slept like that... i got six hours the other night- I'm pretty sure that's the longest sleep he's ever had.
Can't remember who asked, but with the reputation points, you can add to other people's by clicking on the little scales at the top right hand side of their posts.
I'm still in my domestic goddess mode.. I'm going searching for cookie recipes on the net :)
-
Liz: I like your new Avatar :)
Lori: I hate the dentists.. Everytime I get a little twinge I panic lol
I think Miss Livi has tooth number 2.. finally!! next to her bottom tooth. her top two eye teeth are pressing super hard this afternoon.. She seems happy though
Silly MIL called in today  first time in months and my house was horrendous.. The boys had books everywhere and had ripped the paper of some crayons and I was planning on cleaning when Olivia woke up but of course her and her sister turned up when the house looked bad. I made a joke and said Welcome to my messy house.. I took my coffee cup out to the kitchen and I swear I heard the B*tch say her house is always messy.. Well Frig me of coourse its always messy... I have 4 kids .. Next time I go to her house and she comments on how she needs to clean up I will say oh I thought you had hehehe.. silly cow
-
Oh im sooooo glad there are other screamers  i was seriously starting to think that Vicky had some kind of issue and yep im waiting for a knock on our door too.
Vicky's new thing is grabbing/pinching skin - me, DP, Alex however isn't quick enough to move her hands - are any of other the bubs doing this? i dont remember Alex being this "aggressive" :(
Nic - your MIL is a right *****. id be saying something next time
