The beach was so niiiiiice,. Hot though and very sticky.. Poor Isaac is having his dizzy spells again :( Started on Friday but esculated today till he vomited.. He seemed ok this morning thats why we went to the beach and we literally got there and he started being dizzy.. We couldn't just go home as apart from us we had the inlaws and SIL and 3 other kids.. So we cooked breakky and Isaac said he felt better so the kids and poppy went for a swim. Isaac just lay right in the shallows on his boogie board. Dh took him back to the car as he started to feel bad and by the time ( 10 mins) we all got back up to the cars Isaac had thrown up everywhere *sigh* he seems better now.. I am even more certain now that it is migraines. It is following a pattern and if it goes like the last 2 times it will be another 2 days before he is 100% good again....
Anyways.. Home now.. Simon gone to bed as he has night shift tonight :( I am gunna be sooo lonely.. Boys watching a movie as it is to hot to do anything else.. Olivia asleep next to me on her tummy.. I do put her on her back but if she wakes I roll her over and she goes right back to sleep :)
debating on doing something construstive but it would need to be done in the lounge where the AC is,

Hi Haroula and Lauren :)
Lauren.. it isn't so bad when you lose those extra pair of hands. I am on my 3rd day now and going ok. Olivia just has to cry sometimes and other times the boys have to wait.. Good Luck Though and enjoy those extra hands while you have them
-
Trish - Hope your tummy gets better.
Alicua - My DH can be a know it all too some times.Gives me the poos especially when i am tired and crappy. The other day I fed Loren and he said, now put her down and you can feed her again in a couple of hours!!! He got the "look" big time. Another time a friend was over and she asked how I was going with bfing (she knew I had a hard time with dd1) and my DH replied....Well we are going to bf for as long as possible , but I will comp feed her if required!!!!..Now my friend thinks he is a control freak.
Had a better night with Loren . I am burping her more now. Ever fews mins I pull her off to burb and today it is working.
Nic - If you discover that Isacc has mirgrane maybe you shoul try some accupunture for him.
-
Will they do that on young kids? We have an appointment with the ped on the 7th February so I will ask what she thinks of the possibility of migraines. Yesterday I gave him a dose of panadol when he started and he came good for a couple hours but I also sat him in the lounge with the blinds shut..
-
Nic - Poor Isaac. I have migraines (though haven't had one in months), I can't imagine having them as a littley, it would be awful. *hugs* for Isaac.
Trish - Not so much what DH had done just the fact that he thinks he is the baby expert despite the fact that he had never had anything to do with babies/kids before. Last night I was losing it over putting her to bed as I would lay her down lightly wrapped (so she stopped flailing) and he got up and unwrapped her because he thought that was better. Of course he then goes to sleep and I am the one lying awake listening to Olivia flail around and not settling! Got very cross.
Well our kitchen is a MESS! The termites were in 2 walls so they have had the plaster board taken off them and we now have 2 bare walls that need repairing :-( Luckily my IL's own our house and have suggested that now might be a good time to re-do the kitchen (at their expense - yipeee) so now have to get my act into gear and research some kitchens. Only want something cheapish, but nice. At Bunnings today I picked up then DIY kitchen info, does anyone know another place to go for nice kitchens?

Hi girls just checking in again, havent had much time read all the posts, but will try and get in here a bit more (when I find 5 mins all to myself LOL) and keep up a bit better.
I have been lucky so far with Liam being a really quite settled baby, and he is sleeping pretty well at night, the worst problem it seems is that me getting up with him wakes up Tori and it takes us hours to get her back to sleep............arrgggg, cant win.
Lauren- I noticed your little man and mine were born on the same day.
Anyway I had better go, my little man is stirring after a huge nap so he is going to be hungry hungry!

ah what a night... first night shift for Dh.. Things are ok but I just feel busy and disorganized..
Why is it so different this time.. I put Olivia down at 6 cus she was asleep. then I thought I would clear away some mess in the boys room ( Isaac and Jacob share) Now normally Olivia will sleep from 6 till 9 or 10 but oh no not tonight.. she woke 20 mins later and just now an hour later h ave I been able to put her down lol... And just before Dh went to work he was giving her cuddles and I was bathing the boys and she pooped EVERYWHERE.. it was right up to her neck  so had to run a bath while DH undressed her and cleaned her as best as possible.. and now the boys are watching tv before bed but they are driving me nuts.. I think all of us have been enclosed in our Airconditioned bubble for to long.. and thier closeness is driving me bonkers...
oh well 4 mins till bedtime  and here comes the Princess with her cry Oh I think it is going to be a loooong night
-
loong night here as well Nic - any tips for getting a wide awake windy girl asleep? - Ahhh she has just given me a big yawn. Doesn't help that DH is still working getting a proposal finished for tomoorow, or should I say today.
-
Not so much a long night here rather a long day or evening. Abbey stays away and feeds for half the evening. She finally went to sleep around 9.15pm and woke at 2.30am so not complaining there. She was up again around 5ish and at 7.30, she's back in bed now though, just recharging herself I bet.
Nic, Poor Issac, I hope he is feeling better today. I get migraines too occassionally and they are shockers. I really do feel sorry for him if that's the case. It sounds like you have a case of cabin fever there hun. It sucks hey. Kids get antsy with one another, we get antsy with the kids then the baby starts to scream as well. Ahhhhh got to love kids hey ;)
Ali, I hear you on having to get the other kids to sleep. That's why when Tehya was a baby we used to jump when she'd wake overnight. Otherwise we'd have another one to get back to sleep too. Thankfully Abbey doesn't really cry overnight so she rarely disturbs Tehya, It's more Teh calling out waking Abbey !!
Alicia, give your DH a clip across the ears. Have you shown him how Olivia startles and disturbs herself ?? Maybe tell him that's why she needs to be wrapped. You've probably already done that anyway. Ohhhh I hope you get your new kitchen. I've looked at the diy ones in Bunnings too, not too bad hey.
Bek, good to hear that you had a better night. Hope last night was a good one as well.
Lauren, yes it can be crappy not having the extra hands but what is worse is having the hands but they do nothing !! I have a 16 year old that will not lift a damn hand for anyone. Won't go to school but is too lazy to go get a job. MMM speak of the devil and he pulls himself out of bed.
Louise, ummmm nope, no ideas hun. A warm bath perhaps ?? Hope you got some decent sleep.
-
Louise. Olivia was the same last night and didn;t go down till after 9...I hope Sofia went to bed not long after you posted so you were able to get some sleep
Trish: Isaac does seem better today, hope he stays that way
well after taking forever to get olivia to bed she ended up sleeping great :) woke at 1 back in bed by 2 and only just woke now at 8... 6 hours!!!it's getting better
-
Nic, now to get the bigger kids to sleep later. It's not Abbey I have to get up early to it's the otehr kids.
Oh well, keep me in practise for starting the school run again. Been years since I've had to do that, other than pre school. And they don't care if your late.
-
oh don't remind me about school starting again.. ugh.. so not looking forward to it..
my life will be so chaotic once that happens.. how you do it with 2 in school I don't know...
Is Noah off to school this year? or Prep
-
Umm not sure what you call it. He will be in kindergarten here, so I think that is prep for you guys.
With the older ones that easy enough, wake em up, yell for an hour to get them ready and they walk across the road, only to walk back out of the school an hour or so later to wag !!! Like I said it's been a long time since I have had to do the whole drop off, pick up thing 5 days a week.
Still deciding if I will change Tehya from the preschool she was in to the one nearer Noah's school. The way it is now they are in 2 diff directions. But... she is used to the teachers there so...... I know what the smart and easier option is.
-
I am so not looking forward to high school or teenagers in general..
with Prep here.. Only changed last year but was pre-school previously. they go 5 days a week now normal school hours then they start year 1 the next year.. and they don't start prep till the year they turn 5 and the cut off is June.. so if you turn 5 on July 1st too bad so sad.. you don't go to school till the following year... I personally think Isaac is ready to go but oh well I am enjoying having him home one more year.. Day care didn't work out for him. he got to upset. We tried it for 3 days over 3 weeks and for both him and me it was too much even though I didn't show my emotions kwim?
Maybe we will try again this year...
Well I am taking a nice break.. Olivia asleep :) aahh The boys are playing nicely in Ethan's room.. jacob just came into the lounge and he is so sweaty, poor little man. it is stinkin hot here today. I wish my whole house had ac
-
Ahh ok, so yeah prep is much the same as kindy here. And I just call daycare, pre school, same thing. Tehya still cries when I leave her there, whether Noah is there or not, but then she settles to have a great day so I try not to stress over it.
Noah will be 6 in May, I held him back from starting as I really didn't think he was ready to go. Tehya on the other hand will be more than ready. Heck, she could go now nearly.
-
Maria is only now not crying whn she goes to CC and she has been there 2 days a weeks from when she was 5 months old.
