I going to go insane.. She is awake and screaming her head off.. not due for panadol.. all she wants is for me to stand up.. i am not going to.. I actually put her on the lounge floor and went back to my room to calm myself down before.. I am back out here but ignoring her completly..

WHY does she need to scream the house down.. I don't know whats wrong.. she doesnt want her cup, or a feed she wasn't cold, she doesn't want to get into bed with me....

No idea hun but i'm hoping she has calmed down now

Had a full on day and Molly still had a bit of a temp but not as bad as yesterday. I'm thinking teeth but who knows. Had all the IL's here for dinner tonight as it was FIL's birthday las fri They wanted to go out for tea but i said i wouldnt be taking the kids to a restaurant at 7.30pm at night. Anyways from me saying i wasnt taking the kids out that late i somehow managed to end up with 10 adults plus kids here for tea *sigh* I get so frustrated though as NO ONE helps clean up etc and it cost us more to feed everyone than it would have for us to have gone to dinner and pay a babysitter. And to top it off they cracked the *****s cos Molly was in bed b4 they arrived (they didnt get here til 7pm) and then cos i wanted to put DD1 to bed. In the end they played her against me saying things like oh but Mia you want to stay up with nanna dont you etc etc so she didnt go to bed til after 8.30pm and now tomo i know i'm in for a shocking day.

I'm exhausted so time for bed.

She finally calmed down after 40 mins. I found a easy listening radio station and rocked her.. she was then calm enough to feed then we went to bed. She woke at 1 doing the same thing but it only laster 5 mins before she gave up went back to sleep. she is feeding now and looking like she will go down fo a nap...

Oh Nic I can totally sympathise. We had a night like that too. DH was out and I was home on my own with a screaming baby who definately did not want to go to sleep. She had panadol, bongela, cuddles, time in bed with mummy and nothing worked - until DH got home I think she was wondering where he was and wasn't going to sleep until she knew. Very worried now as DH is going to be away Fri and Sat nights and I don't think I can stand the screaming like that 2 nights in a row

Nic, Alicia, Tinsel- I'm here with you too. We had a screaming fit that lased from 3am till 6am. Same deal as Nic- didn't want to feed, didn't want water, didn't want a cuddle, had had bonjela (and I really don't think he had sore teeth, I can usually pick that one). No pain in his belly. Just screaming. I couldn't even rock him off because he wouldn't let me hold him. Just wanted to sit ont he floor and scream. Made me so cranky.
Bekz- We tried that your technique once a while back and it actually seemed to be working well. But I got to the point where I couldn't stand the crying anymore, it was too stressful for me and i was just so tired after a couple of nights of it it seemed easier to just give in so I could get some sleep But it might be worth trying again. This is making us all miserable, even Ty- he is so overtired all the time because he is up so much at night and not getting proper sleep. If he was still happy, just waking up to feed then sleeping again, I could deal with that. But the child needs to learn how to sleep!!!
What i worry about some days is, what if this is still going on when he's a toddler and he can answer me back, and get himself out of bed? That will make it all so much harder. Some days I think we need to get the sleeping problems out of the way now, not later.
And then, other days, I am just too damn tired and can't be bothered dealing with any of it.

Well I no longer have a baby in my room I feel a little sad but I think the time had come.. She is asleep in her new room now.. and she looks like a big girl now

I am hoping this will fix some issues we have.. if not I will put her in the porta cot in our room as thats what she sleeps in when we go camping and she sleeps through

Hoody: My MIL does the exact same thing.. I have gotten tough though.. I say no she doesn't want to stay up and no she won't stop crying beause you have her

Alicia: ugh our Olivia's know how to push our buttons hey

Lauren: The camera is my SIL.. I am thinking about getting a water casing thing for Ethans camera..

Well I am finally relaxing this morning.. sitting out the front while the boys play in the shade.. the backyard is to sunny at this time of the day so its nice to be able to sit out here with them instead of having Olivia screaming at me

hope everyone has a good day...

oh and Hoody.. big day tomorrow.. Any plans?

Yep Big day for Molly tomo i cant believe she will be one what happened to my bub. No really big plans tomo just going to the park for a bit in the morning. My mum will come up in the arvo. DH will be out and working so the real celebration is on Saturday. She is still grumpy and 2 of her bottom teeth either side of the very front 2 are almost through so i am assuming thats her prob. I hope she is a bit happier in the next day or so.

Nic- My MIL does my head in if she rings and the girls are crying or anything its "becasue they miss nanna" if they are happy its "because nanna is on the phone" and apparantly they stay up until they WANT to go to bed at her house and dont get grumpy the next day *sigh* Well let me tell you DD1 is a monster today as she is normally in bed by 7pm latest and well last night it was almost 9pm and NO she didnt sleep in she got up at 6am and now at 10.30 she is whingy and horrible Why cant family see that you are the MOTHER and you know best after all its your child they had there turn. Rant over sorry nic just a bit frustrated lol

ok off to try and sort the chaos of DD1 and the dog out b4 they wake up Molly

can i join the cranky baby group?? Ggggrhhh i have offically got my first tanties in this week. They started pretty small, but got some woppers today!!
Went swimming this morning. was fantastic Ash had a great time, but at the end he was tired and thought he would sleep, nup, went to quickly nip into the shop on the way home, -SCREAMED when i walked past the wiggles ride on things they have cos he wnated to go on. Settled him down, got into coles, screamed at the top of his lungs and went red in the face, lined up settled him down looking in the windows near the freezer section, got past the god damn massive lolly pop stands - who puts them right by the counter!! and off he was again, wanted one! ahhh so stormed out of coles, and he settled, saw the noddy ride on this time.. and he was being a good boy and just pointed so i let him sit on it... 5mins...10mins.. ok need to go now.. SCREAM all the way to the car!!
I know he was tired from swimming but OMG!! This is a new Stage for mr.Ashie bum, and i dont like it one bit!!!!!

Ok had my vent.!!! IS anyone elses bubs starting the tanties in the shops yet???

Buzzie- I had to laugh at your post (in a nice way of course) Sounds like my DD1 and she is 2.5 Our no1 reason for tanties at the shops is because of those bl00dy rides or cos she wants a lolly pop. Molly hasnt shown any interest yet and TBH i dont even think she knows what a lolly pop is. Mind you yesterday when i was shopping and both girls where in the trolley DD1 thought she would give Molly half her freddo frog whilst i had my back turned and Molly had the biggest tantrum when she finished it as she wanted more. *sigh* she didnt know what choc was b4 then but i guess she will know now.

Well Molly is still asleep and DD1 has just asked me for a rest as she is tired (well der thats what happens when silly Nanna keeps her up) so she is lying on the couch watching TV. I want her to have a rest so she is happier later but i know too that if she sleeps she wont go down tonight so its a catch 22. She hasnt had day sleeps for months so i know she must be knackered.

Hoody - Ash doesnt know what a lollypop is either, but its just lots of bright colours he likes playing with them wrapped. You do have 2 girls, chocolate is essential LOL

Gosh, all our unsettled babies. I can't help thinking it's a developmental thing seeing as we're all suffering it! hang in there girls, it's bound to change soon. Does anyone have the wonderweeks book? Maybe they're all wonderweeking. LOL is that even a word??

Lauren - no, no tanties here. Tallon still hasn't had a public tanty yet hehe (*touch wood*). He actually only now has little tanties, but I can usually talk him round. Normally it's coz he doesn't know how to deal with something. So I tell him how to deal with it.. and it's so cute, coz he tries it! Like yesterday, he was having hissy fits coz Kayla was playing with his blocks, he was pushing her over and yelling no no no at her. So i took him to his room and told him it's not nice to push kayla like that. If she's playing with something he doesn't want her to have, he is to ask mummy to move her. So out we come, says sorry to Kayla, and when she climbs over to his blocks, he goes to say no & push her, but stops himself and looks at me and says 'mummy move her please'. LOL. Too cute. He's done this a few times actually with different things. Lovely to see he's listening to me! But it's definitely just him not knowing how to deal with things, so I'm trying really hard not to spend time punishing him for things, but trying to teach him how to deal with it. Woops - that was a bit of a ramble - sorry girls! hehe.

But don't worry, he's no angel. If he's tired and doesn't want to do something, he doesn't have tanties, but he yells no at me and spits at me (raspberries). Delightful child

OK, gotta go, gotta try and do some work. Have been trying to get our tax stuff together in the hopes my old boss can lodge our returns before xmas. I want our FTB!

Nic - I hope Olivia enjoys her new room!! Best of luck

Hoody - Don't get me started on grandparents and their baby sitting techniques....grrrrr.

Lori - I really know how exhausting sleep training can be and I fully understand that getting sleep is primary importance. Sara sleep trained very early. She was sleeping through from 4 months. Then miss Loren came along and I tried and tried with her but she really wasn't ready until 10months. I just kept trying and being consistent. My style did not work at all for my SIL kids, they never settled until they were in a big bed, needless to say that her kid were in big beds by 15months.

Tinsel - How are you sweets?

Loren's bum is red raw atm. She did a few acidy poos yesterday and boy I feel sorry for her.

Question for formula feeding mums: Are you starting to ween off the bottle and formula yet? if so how? Loren refuses to take formula from a sippy cup.

Oh and I have some news......I so I hope I don't jinx myself

baby number 3 is due in July

Please send me sticky vibes..I am so paranoid atm...I don't have any symptoms

    Hi all,
Lauren- Yep we get tanties here too Mostly if I take something off him or tell him no, he can't have something he wants. And, of course, if i try to put him in his cot.

*sigh* gotta go , Ty is screaming again. bbl.

WOW congrats Bek all these new babies coming along..

Well Olivia just had a major fit and a half.. screamed the house down.. I turned up the easy listening channel and rocked her off.... I hate resorting to rocking but she needs to sleep to help her sleep more.. kwim?

Lauren: Olivia just hits me if I offer her something she doesn't want but no actual shop tantrums.. She actually enjoys the shops..

tip on the ride ons .. We have had this rule for all our kids. you can go on them if you behave in the shops and listen to mummy and I never ever put money in them aren't I mean

liz: Can I have some of your patience please?? Tallon sounds like he is a very smart little boy..

Hoody: Jacob is looking like having a sleep too but thankfully if he drops off now he will sleep by 8 tonight as long as i wake him by 3:30 at the latest.. I make the kids sit on the couch and rest between 12 and 2 not for the whole time but in tha time.. just a chill out for all of us...
