Babies Born December 2007 #22

I'm here too. It has been a bit quieter in here the last few days though.

Went to dinner at one of DH's friends last night, i know the couple but not well and was really annoyed that when we walked in his friends DW walked straight out and was going to a part. Is it just me or is it rude to invite a COUPLE over and then for her to go out. So anyway there i was just me, DH, my DD's, DH's friend and his DS's. I felt a bit uncomfortable all night as like i said i dont know him well but then after his DW left i felt like i was just there to entertain the kids *sigh* if i'd have known she was going out i would have just sent DH and stayed home so my girls could have gone to bed on time.

Mind you they both were really good and didnt get me up til after 8am this mo. Well off to a friends for a play.

Hoody- That's a bit rude, if you ask me- like you said, you could have stayed home. But, at least you got a sleep in :)

Alicia- Ouch!! Glad she is ok.

Nic- I love garage sailing :) Did you get anything good??

I worked all day and I am buggered. Nearly falling asleep at the computer *yawn* Ty has another couple of teeth coming up, poor baby. And I finally figured out how to use my peanut shell sling in hip-sit (he was getting too big for the way I was carrying him but i couldn't figure out the way to use it for a toddler) so we can sling again :) Makes life much, much easier.
Having a big problem with my new highchair. Ty has figured out if he throws the food on the floor, he can lean over and see it splatter- which he thinks is very funny. So he throws everything I give him on the floor. I tell him no and he thinks it's even funnier. Cheeky thing.
I'm off to order pizza for dinner. Night all :)

Lori: I just got another 3 wheeled scooter for the boys. It has pretty big wheels.. it was only $5 so is good for a bash around in the mud scooter Couldn't find anything else though

Hoody: I think thats pretty rude.. wonder why she did it.. strange

my dad took me to the andre reiu concert last night at subi. it was wonderful. and thankfully the rain held off until we got back to the car afterwards.


mirani's been booked in for her op, dec 3rd. which is when mum and dad are away. so dp might have to go back and forth getting tia and leesh from school.


mirani has also gotten her present from someone. and im sorry but i had to open it, as the postie had ripped a big hole in the envelope.


and a ? about the pressie swap, are we supposed to include a card saying who its from or just leave it as a surprise?

I forgot to mention.. Olivia took 11 steps yesterday :D and 9 just now.. she is getting very confident..

she is bugging me with getting into stuff though lol..

inlaws and SIL and co coming over for coffe, cake and bikkies this afternoon.. We mad bikkes and cut them into shapes and iced and drew pretty pictures on them.. Simon made fairy cakes :D.. This is a follow on from Olivias Birthday the other day

Kmart had 40% off all clothes so i brought $175 worth of stuff.. i think thatll last Ash a while hehe mummy only got a couple bits of course :P

Good luck for the 3rd Michelle, at least Mirani should be feeling well enough by Christmas to drive her big sisters crazy ;)

Nic - Olivia loves watching me cook, I can't wait til she is old enough to join in with making things.

Lori - I use our sling to carry Olivia on my hip sometimes and it is so much easier than just holding her when you want to duck in somewhere like the post office, etc.

Hoody - I think that is strange of the woman not to tell you she was going out before you got there. Some people are just weird.

Lauren - I want to take Olivia for Santa photos but Rob is have a little stress over how it is so expensive just for a photo :rolleyes: I say so what I'm going to get one done ;)

Went to the Flemington Market this morning and bought a few things for Christmas. DH ordered my christmas pressie while we were there. I want one of those pendants with Olivia's fingerrpint in it and the people who do it were at the market. They took Olivia's print and now we just have to wait awhile for it to be put into silver. I can't wait, her little fingerprint looked so gorgeous! :dance:

Anyway better be off and do some grocery shopping. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.

Not much new to tell here. I sorted through all my baby stuff yesterday and passed on everything thats too small to my sister. She is 22wks pg with her 1st and its a girl too :dance: I'm so excited for her but so sad at saying goodbye to my little little baby stuff. She also bought me a chest of drawers for Molly's room and took my change table (i had the big chest type with drawers and cupboard etc thats why i now need drawers) Had a bit of a cry hehe as it made me realise that i wont be having anymore for at least a few years if ever iykwim. I would love one more DH is adament 2 is enough and TBH with how things have been of late i think we would be mad to have any more soon iykwim. I must say she is very lucky she got my bouncer, swing, walker, change table, electric and manual breast pumps not to mention the mountains of clothes. Its nice to have freed up some space but like i said its sad.

Poor Molly has been a bit off today but i cant put my finger on it. She has hardly eaten and has had a couple of tiny vomits (she hasnt vomited since she was about 6 months) I am guessing she has a bit of an upset tummy. Thankfully she hasnt been too grumpy- mind you she has slept lots but i can cope with that ;)

Alicia- the finger print sounds awesome. I had DD1's photo etched into a pendant for Xmas when she was 9 months and it was a great idea. (it was a suprise from my sister)

Buzzie- Happy 11 months Ash. Oh i got lots from Kmart too. Mainly PJ's and undies for kids but there were some real bargains hey.

Nic- I wish my DH would get in the kitchen and cook or bake or anything.

Michelle- GL for the 3rd of Dec i will be thinking of you all. Sounds like you had a good night with your dad.

Lori- Both my girls like to throw food. I think its developmental at this age. Molly is doing it too but then DD1 thinks its funny and joins in grrr. 2 yo's know better but still think its pretty funny until you take there dinner off them.

Simon used to be a chef so enjoys getting in the kitchen.. I only cook 2 nights out of every 8.. I hate cooking :lol:

Wel its been a long day.. inlaws got here at 2:30 stupid MIL wanted to go home so they left less then an hour later.. was not impressed.. Poor FIL was really enjoying himself too.. cow she is.. Sil her kids and partner stayed till 5.. was a nice afternoon just chatting.. Olivia slept for ages on Simons lap.. all the other kids played outside

Miss moo is pretty much asleep on me.. she woke up when I put her in her cot before so she just needed a few more minutes of cuddling..

Lauren- I was a very good girl and stayed away from the K Mart sale this time. Tempting but none of us really need anymore clothes- in fact, i think we're due for a big clothes clean out before Xmas.

Nic- Awwwww that is way too cute, clever girl that she is... You will have your hands full now ;) (like you didn't already!)

Hoody- Yep, I think you're right about the food throwing being developemental at this age. I was talking to a friend of mine this morning who's dd is the same age and doing it too. That was nice of you to give all that stuff to your sis, I bet she appreciated it.

Alicia- That fingerprint thing sounds awesome. I saw them in a magazine a while ago and really wanted one but the only come in silver, and all my jewellery is gold (i prefer silver but dh refuses to buy it). And I'm a bit superstitious (sp?) so I don't like wearing gold and silver at the same time... (yeah I know that's pretty weird!)

Hope I haven't missed anyone. Been rotten weather here all weekend but clearing up today. We took Ty to a indoor toddler play centre yesterday and he had an awesome time. Completley wore him out which was good :)
I'm so enjoying Ty at the moment, he is just a really happy little man and everything is worth a giggle. He thinks everything is just so funny- was cracking up this morning at me rubbing moisturiser into my face :) Gotta love that.

I hate needle day :( needles themselves went ok but now she is just sad.. I am not allowed to put her down..

I also posted my BB pressie.. apoligies for the crinkled wrapping paper. Olivia got into it :lol:

So it is this Saturday we do the opening of the gifts.. I can't wait to open mine and nor can Olivia.. She keeps grabbing it lol...

Lori- this is an awesome age developmentally etc and i too really enjoy it lots at the moment.

We are all good but i have 2 very tired girls on my hands today which isnt too fun. We went to my IL's for tea last night and i wasnt feeling too flash so been lazy i didnt argue with MIL to put girls to bed needless to say i am paying for it today. DD1 is a walking whinge and Molly is clingy. Angry at myself for not been stronger i knew this is what i'd have to deal with today but as i said i wasnt feeling great so i was lazy- my own fault.

:hug: MIL get us either way don't they.. I hope the girls nap nicely for you today

Olivia is doing fine now.. A dose of panadol and a good nap fixed her up good and proper ;)

We are going to go for a drive in a few to see if Cranky Jake will have a nap lol

I brought Ash an Iggle Piggle doll/figure/thing lol today for chrissy, its the big one that sings..Christ there expensive!! he LOVES night garden! i want to give it to him now! LOL

Well im off to pick up a rocking horse i brought from ebay for him,. its an wooden one - old fasion but i had one as a kid and loved it!!! just had to get him one lol

OMG almost forgot.. went to ABC today to checkit out... and they were very nice and i loved there rooms. As soon as i got in the baby room, where ash will go, he kicked and wriggles and the lady says its ok he can play, and i put him down and he bolted to the otherside of the room to play with the toys, then the kids all sat at there little table for lunch so what did ashie do... crawled up to the table pulled out a chair and sat with them!!!! HOW SWEET!! made me feel SOOOO much better abbout sending him there!!
