Hello everyone, sounds like some of us have had a rough day.
Our two & half year old Tiger went to bite Kieren on the arm today,as he didn`t want him to play with his big scoop truck,it really suprised us,he`s due to start pre-school after xmas, hope he`s not going to start this now.
Nic, Sorry you are having a bad day,it`s never ending sometimes, hope tommorrow is better for you. It`s really hard when your by yourself to manage so many kids, even i have trouble keeping up with mine, especially at the shops. lol. take care.
Lori, It`s the pits when they are sick and just want to cry all bloody day & night, drives us all nuts ay! Hope you get a break & Ty is feeling better.
Oh,on the occassional care it`s terrific, when you want to get the kids use to a pre-school setting,it makes for an easier transition if you can use occassional care,i did it with mine when i wanted to go shopping in peace with friends or if DH & myself wanted time out foe a little while to look around at things.
Buzzie,Hi I kept the Birthday list you typed up,lol.Well I supose i was a tad late ay! not to worry. I know how you feel when the little ones start their tanties at the shops, everyone just stares & makes their little comments. If I?m in a bad mood,I usually tell people to F--- off!!!........ All kids have their moments no matter what age they are.I?m suprised my hair isn`t grey, lol. hope your days are better soon too.
Alicia, Your lucky your little one isn`t fayzed by noise, our Tiger hates loud noises,so I don`t think we will be going to Candles by Candle light either. He is heisteracle when we get a thunder storm & cries, just couldn`t go through with the crap from him.
I will be glad to have a break from my casual work next week, the early hours & getting out the door is so dam hard some mornings.........Sighing.Today was only three hours thankfully.
We took all the kids swimming this afternoon,Tiger really peeved me off, that kid of ours doesn`t like the water. Kieren is like a fish, loves it. Well going to spend some time with Dh & have a nice cuppa. Hope everyone has a better night with the little ones, see you all tommorrow. Sweet Dreams!!.........
I forgot to mention that I have a new job starting next year!!!
I wasn't really planning on going back to work yet but the chance to teach just one day a week came up and I couldn't really let it pass. I think it will do me, and Olivia, some good to have me out doing somthing else one day a week Actually feeling a little nervous about facing a bunch of littlies again after more than a year out of teaching
yay alicia! Thats great your excited about it. Its funny ur say ur nervous after being out for a yr. Ive being nursing for 6 yrs and still am nervous ive forgotten everything LOL
Will you put olivia in care for one day?
Alicia, you will be fine hun,if i can do it you can, lol. It is a bit scary though! I like the break away,& you get to have adult convesations.......
Lori,LOL maybe i do but i change my hair colour every couple of months maybe i just havent looked hard enough I never stay one colour for long!
Nic,Hi how r u? Whats the weather like up your way? In Sydney we already have reached 36 deg, We might go swimming again later today,if i can be bothered.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUMMER!!!
See you ladies later, just got washing to fold up now,it`s all dried quickly today.
I just took the little kids out the front in the only shady patch and filled Olivias wading pool.. had a nice 40 min swim cool down for them.. upstairs back in the Ac now.. Ethan and his mate are playing Xbox so I kinda have nothing to do now.. Well housework but pooey to that :P
Wish I knew the neighbour across the road better. her son is going to school with Isaac next year and it would be nice to have adult company during the day especially as our Dh's are on the same shifts.. but alas I am to shy I have spoken to her though but not confident enough to invite her over for coffee or something kwim? *sigh* oh and one more depressing thing I thought I was 31 only realised this morning I am actually 32..
nic I always have to really think to work out my age, I know I am 34 in May next year.
Been busy here and just a bit stressed out. Work is really manic atm, not sure if my job will be continuing in sydney and as a contractor it is just a month's notice and thats it. Kind of resigned to the fact that the job will go but it will not be the end of the world as I feel as I have been the best mum I can be to the girls this last 6 months. I cannot remember the last time I read a book to the girls without thinking just go to sleep so I can get my hours done from home. The money is good but the kids are just so much more important.
On a happier note Sofia is much more mobile now and I would not be suprised if she was walking by Christmas
mirani's hernia op went great on wednesday. it was just day surgery so we were home that night.
and she's healing up nicely, no stitches, just sutures. and she hasnt had any pain meds since thurs.
and she now says 'hi cheeky'. which is so cute.
glad to hear that everyones bubs are growing like little sprouts. a friend of ours has a baby who is around 5 months old and is soooo tiny next to mirani.
Michelle - how wonderful that Mirani's op went well and she is doing great. "Hi Cheeky" how gorgeous is that!
Nic - I always have to think about my age too and for years I was 28 LOL. I'm shy too so I know what you mean but next time you see her, make a coffee date. She could be just as shy as you but would like to hang out too.
kitten - I hope all works out for you.
MoM - I hope you all cooled down today. How nice to go swimming. I got my first grey hair at 19 and now I have loads! I will be putting a dye through it before Monique's party next weekend though much to DH's disgust. He doesn't like me to dye my hair while preggers.
alicia - that is great about your job next year. I'm nervous about going back too because it is a whole new team except my Manager and a different system where lots has changed as well as a new enterprise agreement that I have to get familiar with (I work in HR). By the time I get into the swing of things, it will be time to go on maternity leave again
Buzzie - how wonderful to have 2 hours "me" time.
Lori - I get cranky in the middle of the night too and I feel really bad about it afterwards. Just when I'm really tired and she just won't settle. DH is in the other room so I get no help during the night.
Speaking of which, I made the transition the other night and went to bed with DH rather than in the room with Monique and he is a blooming night owl and had the light on until midnight which is way too late for me and then Monique screamed the house down at 1.10am so I took my pillow and went back in there.
Monique cut the second bottom tooth as well as one of the top teeth but it is giving her so much grief. She had a slight fever all night and today and was whimpering in her sleep the poor little darling. She is super clingy too.
Lauren, I was teaching for 8 years before Olivia arrived but it is stll weird going back to something after a long break.
Today we set up Olivia's sandpit (part of her birthday present), it is only a little one in a fish shape but it is big enough for her. Anyway she refused to out her hands in the sand and when she did would imediately pick her hand back up and wipe off all the sand :-D Don't start thinking that she is a little neat cherub though because when she got out of the sandpit she crawled straight through some mud, played in the mud and even ate some mud! She just wouldn't have a bar of the sand, crazy little girl :-)
Headache here tonight so off to bed for me. Family bbq tomorrow for Olivia's birthday, not really looking forward to it at the moment...
Michelle - happy to hear the op went well! btw - sutures is just a medical term for stiches - she prob had internal dissovable ones. there great these days with that sort of thing. I couldnt believe i had no sutures on the outside of my c/sect.
Alicia - yuko on the mud. - hope she likes the sand pit when shes ready lol
Tinsel - Ash is cutting 3 teeth at the top atm, i think we have it pretty lucky hes not in too much stress about them. havent used nurofen in ages!
Didnt end you going to carols last night, it was chucking it down here so didnt risk it. Will go to our local one.
Michelle- Glad Mirani's op went well. She must be a tough little cookie!!
Tinsel- I left dh in Ty's room last night to deal with him and tried to sleep through the screaming. It took about 45 minutes. Felt bad for both of them but stuff it, I do it all the time, he does it maybe once a month so he just had to deal with it. He is still in bed now but, having a sleep in
Lauren- I'm amazed that you had no stitches on the outside from your cs too. If you don't mind me asking, did it leave a scar?
Alicia- Ty won't have a bar of sand either. But he was like that with grass for a while, so , he might get used to it. I think I'm going to get a clam shell sandpit for Ty with the $$ I'm getting off people for his birthday (all mine and dh's family are giving us $$ instead of pressies, so we can but what we need, which is ok with me I think. Hoping we get some pressies but- what's a birthday party without present?)
Oh and Summer!
Went to my mg xmas party yesterday. It was great, but 34 degrees outside and we were there for 3 hours (in the shade, but still bloody hot).
And remember how I said Ty slammed his finger the other day? I really didn't think much of it, I could move it and put pressure on it and it didn't bother him and wasn't causing any pain. But looked at it yesterday arvo and his whole fingernail had peeled off and was only hanging on by a little bit. Took him to after hours gp, who reckons it iwll just fall off evntually, or maybe get ripped off while he's playing. Eep. Gave us some anitbiotics in case it got red or pussy or Ty had a fever, but it's not even infected. Poor kid (actually, it's still not bothering him but totally grossing me out )

aww Poor Ty.. Hope his finger continues to remain unbothered. I too am grossed out by that sort of thing lol...
lori: I didn't have stitches on the outside this time either (for my c/s) actually I have 3 very fine lines where I had my 3 c/s. all about a cm or so apart
Alicia: Hope the BBQ went ok..
shh another decent night don't talk about it though
Olivia is so cute these days.. she came up to me when I was eating my breakfast and started yelling MINE MINE lol.. so I gave her some and then she yelled MORE. I just love thislearning stage its so cool
she is walking about 50% of the time now.. she will walk but when she wants to get there in a hurry sh crawls..
Lauren: nah she isn't keepingme any busier.. infact she has settled down heaps now she can do more
Had a pretty decent day today.. Was just nice.. very hot though.. big storm went thriough about 7 and another one hitting us now but just rain this time not the incredible lightening and thunder.. Poor Olivia didn't like it.. she was clinging to me like anything... but still went to sleep ok
OMG i am finally back............its been over a week and i have had severe withdrawals. Our comp got a really bad virus or something (i dunno its all too complicated) but needless to say we have had NO internet access since fri over a week ago. It only got fixed by one of DH's friends an hour ago and although its late and i'm knackered i had to pop in quickly. I have 158 emails to check etc so the next few days will be interesting.
Few updates from us-
Molly has 2 new teeth so now we have 8
Molly is pulling herself up.
I got my nose pierced on Mon (yes i am mad but hey it was spur of the moment and i love it)
Molly has had the runs and vomitting since Mon so off to Dr's tomo although its not like a bug to be honest i think its a sensitivity to milk as its only after milk or yoghurt iykwim but we will see.
DH and i doing really well again our marriage problems have settled and i am really HAPPY.
I havent read and caught up i think i'd be here all night if i tried so i might be behind for a few days but i will be back tomo i promise i have lost time to make up for hehe.
