Yeah def try the gaviscon and if that doesn't work maybe go to your dr to try something else. Sounds like the acid is burning her causing those random screams... It scares me web she does them! I'm always scared she has been bitten by a spider or something!!:

Just a quickone, last night we went to SIL ad i saw his tired signs, but we didnt have his bed there, and my SIL brought out toys and wow was he so over stimulated. Cried all the way home. barely slept last night, This morning he didnt want breast milk only the bottle So i dont know if i ate something thats upsetting him??
Ive just done the dishes, and he is asleep in his rocker, i hope he sleeps for another hour so i can get the bathroom done!!

Renee: yes to your qs regarding reflux. I hear it come up sometimes and she swallows it and screams. Sometimes I don't hear it but she coughs, chokes, holds her breath goes bright red & screams. She also screams when she has the hiccups do you find this? I haven't read anyone elses responses yet 'so sorry if I doubled up.

S is doing better, I've upped her Zantac and it seems to have helped. S slept 7hrs straight last night, had a sleepy feed & slept another 3. I was so shocked, she's never slept so long!

Someone asked me' today if by patting and rocking my bub to sleep am I making it hard for her to learn how to sleep on her own. I wasn't sure what do you think? S can never fall asleep without being rocked, walked, patted etc. I know some of you have bubs who have fallen asleep on their own, how hehe?
babyluv, Liam will fall asleep on his own if i leave him in his bed, or in the rocker, as much as it hurts my boobs i sometimes have to let him cry for up to 10 minutes to let him settle by him self. I can tell by his cry whether he is tired and needs to sleep or is screaming in hunger. :)
Kaylee text me pm me your address and i will send them too you, I think they are super cute, so hard to find baby boys clothes that still let them be baby boys as most the clothes make them look like little men, very cute as they maybe but they are only this little for such a short time I like to let them look like little babies... looking forward to heading over your way, might have to get one of my sister to pick up the kids gotta go will be back soon

Baby luv, I cuddle PK to sleep, did the same with the others, I can tell you now I dont have to rock or tap any of them to sleep now ;) I say do what feels right for you and your baby, with any advise your give ( same goes with my advise ) take from it what you want other wise just smile and say thanks but I am happy doing it my way... you only have a little baby for such a short time enjoy them while you can... I am not trying to make light of your question it just annoys me when people say this to new mums...
BTW PK doesnt have set day naps either, he doesnt go to sleep in his bed unless I am going too, otherwise he naps in my arms if I am lucky I can put him in his swing or on the floor, but he normally wakes not no after, so if I want him to have a good sleep I make sure I have my water near by and the lappy close by so I dont have to get up :)

babyluv, L will grizzle and have a weird sort of cry, sometimes when i put him down, he will then scream as if its bloody murder for about a minute and then he will literally shut up, but if he keeps going like that and i can see he gets red and sweaty then i take him out. its all trial and error i guess.
Like today he would not go to sleep, i put him in his rocker let him carry on for about 5 minutes and just as i went to pick him up he zonked out. he had a good nearly 2 hour nap, he wouldnt go back to sleep later on, i had to give him a bath, lathered him up with baby lotion and he went to sleep for about 40 mins. and now he has gone back to bed. I don't know what distressed him as he wouldnt take the boob, he kept giving out a weird cry, and has done really potent farts, he ended up sculling a whole 120 mils of water.
If i had to rock him to sleep or walk around the house to get him to sleep id go mad only because he is getting so heavy!
You just have to do what is right for you, at my mothers group on tuesday thats what they said, if you are happy rocking them to sleep or walking around to get them to sleep then its absolutely fine! :)

New dawn: Woohoo for Sarah!!!! that's so exciting... and lol to one handed typing! I have managed to work out how to have her on my BF pillow in my lap feeding, with my feet up on the coffee table and the lappy on my knees so I can type and use the lappy like normal! LOL.
Well we had a great day!!! She was alright on the way down to Brissy, grizzled and cried everytime I slowed down (which was a lot cause of roadworks!) but then went back to sleep when I went fast... then slept the whole time at coffee and made a liar out of me!! Then she screamed in the car for the last hour of the trip and is now feeding... Hoping she goes down after this! Shelly got me some Weleda colic powder so have given her some of that... see how she goes!
Oh my gosh I just woke up now after going to sleep at 11!!! Bub slept 7hrs CRAZY!

I got Pinky Makays new book yesterday 'Parenting by Heart' it's so good & she says in there that in the womb even when we are stationary the amniotic fluid rocks bub around so when they come out it's really hard for their little bodies to get used to being stationary. Now I understand why S likes me' to walk around when she's upset :)

Yesterday she played happily on her own for about an hr! And settling is taking 1/2hr rather than a few hrs. I hope we've reached that turning point! Zantac 3 times a day rather than 2, it's definitely helped!

I honestly feel for you two with out dairy, i am slowly weaning my self off it too. My stomac isnt handling too much dairy again but I don't want to go back to my soy teas :( I am really loving the taste of my tea with full fat milk! But i am having grilled cheese sandwiches as I type.. haha lets see how i go! I dont know if i could go off wheat! what the heck would i eat?? or what do you eat to keep full??
Does anyone else watch good chef, bad chef? Its on channel 10 at 4pm, janelle does some good wheat free and dairy free recipes, except i think it would cost so much to get half of those ingredients!
Bex, i make a chocolate cake with soy milk and everyone always gives me compliments with it! I suppose you could substitute the flour with glutenfree too.

Babyluv: Stupid health nurses who don't listen to you and put your baby on the wrong dose... it's so good that she is doing so well!!!! darling the weight will come off!! I had been eating healthy n walking n stuff an didn't see any loss from the first week until now!! so it's taken 5 weeks for me to lose anything other than the fluid n stuff. And now I am having bacon and eggs for breakfast (yes at 11:18... baby gets to eat first) so I am probably going to need to go for a walk! HAHA
Kaylee: Don't go off wheat unless you absolutely have to. If Liam is constantly screaming (and I mean like 4-5hrs agt a time where he will not settle) then he is probably fine with wheat. The reason I have gone off it is because everytime I have it, I have massive issues with Charlotte. I am still keeping small amounts in my diet because i want her to build up a tolerance and as she gets older, her tummy will start to be able to handle more.
Oh and I hear you on soy tea! It's feral!!!!! I have been considering just sneaking one cup of tea with skim milk!! I might do it first thing in the morning right after she has had her zantac.
Oh and with cheese, did you know cheese has no lactose??? So you can eat as much cheese as you want! Both me and my nephew are lactose intolerant (my nephew is REALLY bad) and we both LOVE cheese... he can eat as much as he wants and does't get sick, but if he has like 1/4 cup of milk, he will be vomitting and have diahorrea for like 2 days.
So I have decided (thanks to Shelly too) that I am going to give Charlotte zantac consistently every da, cause I have only been giving it to her on the bad days but really, that's kinda useless.. so I am going to give it to her every morning and see if that makes any difference.
Oh and I like good chef bad chef too!! But most the time, I want his food not hers! hahaha...

Kaylee: argh I hate having overtired baby! It's so hard hey, G has been not letting me put her down much lately and so not having good sleeps during the day, makes it so much harder by the arvo! Had weight and length done again yesterday, now she's 5640g and 57cm, so half a kilo and 2.5cm in 10 days! Oh and apparently nobody told Georgia she's only 6 weeks old and she thinks she's much older, yesterday she had her dummy and took it out of her mouth with her hand, sneezed, and put her dummy back in and went to sleep!! WTF!!! She also gave me very disapproving looks at dinner time when I was feeding her formula coz I'd had a couple of ciders! Funny girl! The look really was priceless I should have taken pics!

Jack is much bigger than Zara, and last week they got weighed, Jack is 4.3kgs and Zara is 4.1kg I think... Jack is the same weifght as Charlotte but looks soo much smaller!! He is longer and skinnier where as I have a short fat baby! LOL. Brunette is looking fantastic!!!! It was so lovely to meet her and Shelly.
Ok right now I have a super boob!! Hahaha... My left side is massive! I so reckon she is growing because I am back in the porn star boobies where one goes hard and massive! LOL. Should I maybe start feeding her from both boobs cause I think feeding from just one each feed is making me produce more and more milk. Or is that ok? I guess i can always just build up my EBM stores (I have been so lazy!).
Bex: I've had super boobs last night too, and have been slack on the expressing coz I can only do it at night, they don't have a chance to fill up during the day! I wish we could just turn them on and off as we needed lol, I hate having full boobs at night and having to get up and express when G's sleeping and I should be too!!! She slept from midnight thru to 5 this morning and I was in pain!

My nipples are sooooooo sore too! They are all pink when the rest is a pinky brown so you can see how hard she has been sucking them!!! It hurts to have a bra on...
MrsBexie: I can't believe I can eat cheese!!! All this time I've been cutting out all dairy! So I just had a chicken & cheese sandwhich. Yep I'm back on the sandwiches, they don't seem to make any difference!
My boobies get really sore too but then they can suck really hard! S was sucking on my arm the other day and I didn't realise how hard it was but I now have hickies on my arm!
:rofl: to arm hickies! They certainly do suck hard! She almost rips my little finger out when I let her suck it! LOL.
Upping the Zantac dose may have been what she needed not cutting out the sandwich! And yup, cheese is awesome... but if you find she is still unsettled heaps tonight, you still might have to cut it out... there is lactose intolerant and there is an allergy to the milk protein and those people can't have cheese. So just keep your eye on it.

Claire needs some rocking and patting during the day but is happy to grizzle herself to sleep at night. So I'm happy, at least the nights are easy on me.

So I started this post at 2pm n only got to here at 8pm. LOL. We went to the free photography place in the bounty bag today n got photos taken. Didn't really like the place, only ended up getting one photo of C n the free one of us 3. Had C in the sleep wrap n she was actually really easy to bring around in it, only crying when she needed a change or feed then just tucked her head under when she was napping. Been getting 3 hrs between feeds at night now, definitely moving in the right direction, although I've still been getting up at the 2 hr mark coz my body's so used to it. How dumb!
Caixin: that sucks that the photos weren't that good! was it Pixy photos? They are usually ok! Hmm, might need to check out the sleep wrap! Lol to your body waking at 2 hrs.. hopefully it will retrain itself soon!!
Well once fatty is finished feeding we are going to walk down to spotlight so I can buy some crafty stuff! I am going to try to make my own headbands and stuff for her... and it will give me exercise!! LOL.

Oh no :( that sounds really painful! Does C have a white tongue? I've heard that can happen with oral thrush but I'm not 100% sure. Boo to babies not sleeping! I think we are in for a rough night! S is screaming in pain :( she was fine until I fed her, happy etc but I guess I must hVe eaten something that's given get reflux because she is doing lots of the swallowing & screaming. Mrs Bexie: The sleepy wrap is like the HAB but way cheaper. I'm in love with it coz it's so comfy, feels like she's inside my t shirt. :) Yay to attempting crafty things! I was just thinking the other day to try making some hair clips coz they are so easy n they are so expensive to get online. Will need to get to spotlight if I can though. Babyluv: The place I went to was called Portrait place. It's like one of the franchise places. The photographer was nice but I didn't like how you only had 30 mins for the sitting which is really hard for a newborn bub as they are so temperamental. Oh well, I guess that's why it's free. Do go through your bounty bag... I've just used my $10 off (min spend $50) for target yesterday to get C some winter clothes coz there's 20% off babies now. There's also the huggies canvas that you can claim using barcodes which is really good. Boo to screaming babies, you're holding up so well with all the screaming and not sleeping. Well done mum!
So after weeks and weeks of feeding every 2 hrs, C has given me 3-4 hrs stretches in the last 3 nights. :D. I'm hoping this is the start of longer night sleeps. However since she's not getting up as much to drink she doesn't poo or wee as much at night but come morning, she does like 3 large poos in a row, one after another, n only after I've changed her each time. So I spent like 20 mins changing her nappy, her clothes (went everywhere) and then nappy and then nappy again this morning. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Little_mrs, Go G!!!! Ava rolled onto her side the other day!! She nearly got all the way over but she stopped and decided not to give mummy a heart attack just yet!!!! I haven't had her weighed for 2 wks but am going this wk can't wait to c how big she has gotten.
Well my sister just left, she is moving to inverell :( Very sad as she has lived in Newcastle for 4 yrs while she has been at uni and i am so used to having at least one family member around, now i have no one!!! Also ladies whos bleeding came back how long did it last? I started bleeding again friday before last and am still bleeding it is actually getting heavier, I am getting clots about the size of a 20-50cent piece. I am only wearing regular pads so it is not too excessive but i just want it to stop already!!

Since ive been giving K teething stuff i have a wonderful he slept for 10hrs the other night its just fantastic, i also have another friend with a december bub and shes teething too
Drooling is a major sign of tething (K is starting to do this), chewing your finger, nipple, dummy, (if fed a bottle) they run it along there gums, biting their hand can also be a sign of teething not just hunger
anyway im out right now got playgroup :)

As for bleeding, I bled 6 weeks after birth but I think it was AF. Could it be AF for you? If not perhaps you should ask your doctor.

Babyluv i'm not sure. It has been going for 11 days now. It stopped all day yesterday and is back today!! I have a sore back, like period pain but i think it is from the epidural i had. It is really clotty which is why i think it is not AF just yet. I have called the clinic and am waiting for someone to call me back. Thanks.
Renee: I would DEF get that bleeding checked out!! I bled again at 4-5 weeks but it was only light and bright pink, no clots... clots usually indicate that they have been sitting in your uterus so it could potentially be bad. Boo to your sister moving!! It sucks having no family around! And I don't think it is mastitis cause it's my actual nipples not the boobs, although I am getting shooting and dull pains all through my boobs right now! Oh wait... I just got let down!! hahaha... my boobs started dripping as I was typing. LOL... I don't stop leaking!!!!! :rofl: to Mr whippy!! I don't have Mr Whippy, I have a slushie machine or something!! Her poo's are soo watery and just splurt out her ar$e! I love the face too! she goes all red, then tenses her whole body and you hear the squelching as the poo comes splurting out! LOL
Caixin: Yay for longer sleeps!!! That's so exciting! And LOL to the poo!! C does that with peeing! Everytime we change her nappy, she pee's!!!! It goes all up her back, god I have had to wash sooo many suits just cause she pee'd on the change table and it went up her back.

I booked in for my pap smear at the family planning clinic and they said they would do my 6 week check up too!! :) I am terrified of a PS but glad I can get it all over and done with! And I have to book C in for her 6 week check up too...

Sometimes it's also very very bubbly, like too much fart has gone into it. :rofl: Awww sad that your sister is leaving, it's hard not having family around isn't it? Well at least you've got another place you can go visit. I would certainly get the bleeding checked out. When I had my bleeding it was very heavy with large clots but I was soaking a maternity pad every 2 hours. Ended up having placenta remains still in there. But with it stopping yesterday sounds like it'll be nothing nasty. Let us know how you go ya?

Not up too much tonight. I'm cooking corned beef for hubby, he's been nagging me' for it for about a week :)
We will prob walk our usual 6ks which I'm doing every day but I haven't lost any of my 10kgs yet :(

S has been coughing yest & today & now I'm starting to worry. I thought maybe it was because of her reflux but It seems worse today! I checked her temp and it's fine! She is supposed to have her vaccs on sat but I don't want her having them if she's sick.
She was a good girl last night, slept 4.5hrs then 2, can't complain :)
Babyluv i have made a lasagne and chocolate tarts for dessert. I also made choc chip cookies. Have been on a bit of a cooking frenzy today. Got a lovely bunch of flowers from DH and he took miss Ava for a walk this arvo so i could have a beautiful hot bath and relax!!!!
