Thanks Nai!! That really does make sense and I'm going to try it next feed.

Shellbell, I hope you have a better night tonight. Before I tried the snuggle bed, Leon would not stay settled for longer than a few minutes (20 mins in his crib was the record!). Re feeding, he is currently feeding on the left breast only as it's not as bad. I'm expressing the right and giving him a bottle of ebm for middle of night/early morning feed. I'm going to try what Nai suggested and hopefully be able to feed okay on both sides really soon Problem is, I'm expressing more milk than he can drink! I don't want any of it to go to waste! Anyone know what the go is with freezing the milk? What to store it in, how long for, what quantities, etc...

I'm really nervous about the next feed, just wish I could relax but I anticipate the pain and get all tensed up - that can't be helping

Shell - I so wish I could lend you my mum, and that we lived closer together. DH went back to work today, and my mum is staying here until the weekend, so that is great.

E has slept all day, so I am bracing for a full on night. At least J will be looked after by Nanna in the morning, and I can try and rest.

I have been taking probiotics and so has J, as we both had 5 lots of gastro during my pregnancy.

AJP - You would get some cute pics with her hands up!

Holly - How was Leon today??

I am going to try for an early night. Mum will listen out for E and bring her in. I want to catch up on Ladette to Lady that I taped, as I am never awake to watch the end!!

Holly- I think in the breastfeeding section they have info on storing EBM. I can't remember it all. Be good to freeze and put away so when you get around to having a night off you have feed there.

I'm getting nervous already bout how tonight will go, she sleeps so well in the day, only had to rock the bassinet once.
Had the MCHN over and she told me can take up to 8 weeks for them to sort night from day! Hope we aren't waiting that long.

crash away odette!!!! i couldnt part from you guys either!!

shell im worried about tonight too! DD has literally slept all day

meg her hands are in the wrap but just up near her face if that makes sense, instead of down her side which she fights, this way shes quiet happy.

holly you can get bags to freeze but they can get expensive otherwise avent sell little cups and lids that are reusable

AJP - DD is already fussing after 2-3 good sleeps today so I'm with you I'm about to get into bed with her and try to get her to settle. She seems to be tired but not wanting to sleep.

I am so with everyone. E slept all day yest. She was up a little overnight, but nothing that I couldn't manage.3am she had a feed, and then didn't settle, so back on the other boob, and then in bed with us. So she was really only fussing for about 15 mins and feeding the rest of the time. I think I even fell asleep while feeding! She is back to sleeping and needing to be woken for a sleep. I wish she did that at night!

Had an improved night, Em had feed at 10 which I thought great can go sleep after but took til MN to settle, then woke exact 3 hrly for feeds. Night feeds just frustrating cause I spend alot time trying to keep her awake to get decent feed in.

Saw bit blood on Ems jumpsuit and realised its from my nipple, no wonder its so bloody sore, been using the lasinoh cream. Can't wait to get past this hard part of breastfeeding cause I know how lovely and enjoyable it is once I get past this pain and attachment barrier.

AJP- I was just thinking this morn about how I'll go next week with my first outing with the 2 of them, already quite daunting! Bring out the match sticks I say.

    Nai- Howd yr night go?

Meg, we posted same time, hopefully they get this night/ day business sorted sooner rather than later, its great you can feed lying down, because pain and engorgement I really have to sit up and concentrate on attaching, Em sleeps next to me and Df been sleeping in other room so at least waking is easier when in the bed.

    Hey girls
feel so much better posting in here with all you girls- hopefully ali and kazz will join us soon! WIll have to give MK and laura the heads up as well- keep us girls together- cause we can chat!!!!!

For those who dont know me- i'm Odette- i have 6 year old twins and Levi who was born 2/2/09- our promise bubs!

I am really enjoying having just one full term bub this time around- so much different. He is a pretty cruzy baby- has to be with an name like Levi- lol. We still have our unsettled times, our grumpy times, but mostly he feeds, sleep and puts on weight. Had him weighed Tues- now 10lb4- so put on 1 1/2 Lbs in two weeks- his nickname is now "pud"!

My twins are bessotted with him- Hector the protector has to keep tabs on his every move and mother hen can settle him some times better than i can- she is way more motherly than me!

So that is it for me- finding that this time around i am not getting as frustrated as i did being a first time mum- hindsight and perspective is a wonderful things. My mantra- "It is a phase"!! - i repeat that esp when i have tried 6 times in a row to get him to settle lol
well that is it for me at the moment- he has just fallen asleep next to me after tying to settle him in the cot 5 times- ah well try again next nap- lol
mwah to you beautiful girls and bubs

    hi girls
    just a quickie from me

holly- my nipples are shocking atm too, grazed and sore. i used nipple shields for the last feed and it was heaps better. they are just a temporary fix, but they help get you through till your nipples heal.

ajp- i had j at mitcham. you were at angliss right?

well we had a good night last night up 3 times to feed, 3 hourly, so no complaints.
really starting to realise just how tired a pph can make you feel, soooo drained.

Det- happy to have you here

Meg - I think Alex was playing copy cat. Last night he woke at 1.30am and didn't settle til 4.30am when I kicked DH out of bed so we could co-sleep, until 9am (again on and off the bb), now back to two hourly feeding.

Have you girls found out any foods that bubs don't like you eating?

Does anyone else have a baby that isn't happy unless feeding or sleeping? I swear Juliette has about 5 min a day where she is both awake and happy - the rest of the time she is grizzling, sleeping or feeding.

She is being demand fed so it feels like she is feeding all the time! Also she would't sl;eep yesterday unless it was on me! I felt like I sat down all day either feeding or holding her. Luckily G was at childcare. She is home today so I hope J doesn't do a repeat performance.
