Dansta: Thanks for writing! I'm so bad at remembering to write in here these days! Plus, I have been trying to limit my time online.
:jawdrop: Surely you can't be at your EDD already!?!?! Where did the past 9 months go? I'm so excited for you though - if you hear a distant squeal some time soon, it will probably be me squealing with excitement and happiness as I read your birth announcement! I wish I lived closer so I could come and meet you, and DJ, and have newborn snuggles with Bundy!
Poor DJ with teething - it's hard on them. I hope he has a big break from teething when you bring Bundy home :) That's so nice that he's become a daddy's boy - especially nice for your DH, and it will be handy for him to want to hang out with your DH while you're focusing on Bundy.
Sending plenty of labour vibes your way :)
AFM: Oliver is much better. The antibiotics did their job and he is bag to his normal, happy self.
He is such a toddler now. All these funny things he does - it's great! I especially love watching how he's starting to interact more with his little friends!
He's saying heaps of words: mum, dad, duck, up, down, bic (biscuit), nana (banana), mormor, bop (poppa), cat, dog (I think) and many more, and all his words are getting clearer and clearer.
Sleeping is still pretty much the same - he wakes anywhere from 1 - 3 times a night, but I'm happy enough with that. Some time in the near future I do want to start trying to move away from feeding to sleep though - just got to work out a good way to do it so there will be no tears.
Anyway, I really hope you're all doing well! Would love to hear from everyone!
-
heh sterla - if you want to PM me your mobile number i can text you (save your net time LOL) and tell you when bundy is earth side if you want??
im glad Oli is feeling better though and he's his normal self again.
as for the toddlerness DJ has shown it as he's learned to shut doors (crawl behind them and hit them LOL) and thinks its funny to do that to mummy and DH is liking being the "one" DJ wants lol. 'cept for bed time then its mummy all the way (still LOL) but i dont mind that.
as for the last nine months i asked DH what happened to them. he pointed at my belly and said "that" haha...smarty pants he is!
...now i need some one else to get UTD and i can live vicareisly though them...as DH seems to think this'll be our last bubba  or for at least the time being :(
-
how is every one?
i'm still here and STILL UTD lol.
thought i'd stick my snout in and see if anything interesting if happening for any one else ( ) as there is only so many times one can hit "whats new" haha. DJ has a second molar on its way up. and maybe a third one on its way down (top) but i cant see and if i stick a finger in there is gets bitten! he's a little daddies boy during the day but at night he's a mummies boy. he has been unsettled (thank to the teething) but nothing too bad. we keep telling him he'll be a big brother but i dont think he understands. but he has "talked" to the bump (non-intentual) a few times which is cute. mind you i cant see him over the bump now - at all...MW said last weekend (EDD was sunday) she thinks this bub will be around 8 and a half pound :o and a "broad baby" lol. DH is now freaking out at the size of the bump, which is funny. Ohh and my blue eyes have turned green a cousin of mine who was due the day after me (monday) had her baby...ON HER EDD! thats just evil i said to DH "thats wrong. a day over would have made me feel better" ah well. Steven Alexander is his name and he was 7lb10oz i think (so 5oz smaller then DJ) but i dont know much else. but i did have a baby brain moment when sending them a card...i almost sent them a girl card LOL. which would have left a few people rather  hehe. ahh well.
now every one needs to do a HUGE update so i have something to read and keep me distracted lol.
-
OMG i havent been in here for AGES!!
Still going Dansta? I still have 6 weeks. Hoping to not go over but i doubt it. Ive been over by a week twice now.
-
I'll try and do a big update tonight after Oliver has gone to bed Dansta, since DH is having a guys night tonight :).
-
Hi ladies!!Im such a hopeless BB i should be kicked off I know!!!Weve just had so much happeneing the past 2 months, wve done a kitchen reno and a few other things but ofcourse DH wanted to do most himself and altho its getting there now I must say its been a nightmare with a toddler!!!!Then I was up the hospital because summer was really sick and then i have been sick for at least 2 weeks arfhhh!!!!Anyway i really want to catch up properly but just thought id pop in and say hello and a litle catch up and do a proper one lately.....not much news for me apart from the renos,Summers been out of sorts for like a month not sure if its the renos or what, weve had heaps of people stay in that time aswell, and shes got 2 molars and then another cut threw yesterday but day sleeps have pretty much totally gone out the window which has been hard!Ive also been getting real anxious about things(rolls eyes)summers been really playing up when we go out and winging and carrying on so much i just go home, she was so bad the other day and i hadnt been out on my own for so long with all our visitors and DH home and the shops were real busy and she was playing up and i was in aldi and i couldnt get out and arghhhh i got in the car and nearly burst into tears which isnt like me!But anyway im onto her!!think shes trying to not test me but work out the limits so when we go out ive been trying to ignore her, shes fine like shes fed, dry, not tired etc,she just cant sit still and hates being in the stroller! So see how that goes. She was going really well with the walking but then all of a sudden stopped and went back to crawling which was weird but shes walking alot again now,i sort of thought once they had mastered it quite well or knew how to do it thats was it theyd want to keep on at it?anyway I had a quick read threw but will try catch up later when Sumsy hopefully has a sleep,my sisters putting on a kids party today which we are going to so hopefully shes that worn out she will heehee!Hope everyones well!

Woops, I was going to write last night and didn't.
Okay, I'm going to keep this open so that I remember to write when I have a chance. Will be back!
-
PJ: Great to hear from you. Sounds like you've been very busy! That's awful that you and Summer have been sick! What with? Are you both okay now? I hope so.
Sounds like Summer is giving you a hard time - I hope you're coping okay . We're here if you ever want to talk or vent! That's funny about Summer reverting back to crawling, though not uncommon from what I've seen and heard. I think they're just more confident with crawling cause it's what they know. Glad to hear she's back to walking again :).
Dansta: Okay, I'm back, and I'll attempt to do a nice long update for you, so you've got some reading to fill in those long hours past your EDD (suck huh?!).
Well, things here are good.
Oliver has just had his first eye tooth come through, and all without too much fuss either! I'm so relieved he's coping okay with his eye teeth, because I have heard (and seen) how awful they can be for our little ones. Oliver was a little 'off' for a couple of days, but honestly, I think I'm the only one who would have noticed. So, this puts Oliver's teething total at 13 teeth! Only 7 more to go!
I think Oliver has had a bit of a developmental spurt recently too, especially with his gross motor skills. He's started climbing on everything recently - which I'm still not convinced is a good thing. I went to the toilet earlier and came back to find Oliver standing up on our couch... which means he would have had to get up on his shelf where his toys are, then onto the coffee table in the corner, and then onto the couch :o. Can't turn my back for a minute anymore at all. I'm in two minds as to what to do about the climbing though. I could go down the "no" path, and keep telling him no and moving him down myself... or I could just let him go for it, and let him fall and learn on his own. I mentioned this to a friend's mum the other day, and she was absolutely horrified that I'd even consider the second option! Thing is, I don't think 'no' really works with Oliver, not yet anyway.
Another reason I think Oliver has had a bit of gross motor skill spurt is from being away from playgroup for 3 weeks, and then going back. All of a sudden Oliver was able to get on/in and off/out of things much easier. He's gaining a lot of confidence, and running everywhere!!!
Every day he seems more and more like a toddler. He can communicate with us so well and more and more words come every week. I'm also blown away by how much he knows - and I have a feeling I will continue to be blown away! I mean, I know it's all just normal toddler stuff, but you can't help but gush over your own child!
I feel like Oliver's looks have changed a bit recently too - it seems like all traces of baby have disappeared, and now he is this gorgeous little boy. It's probably got something to do with the fact that his face isn't very chubby anymore, but also maybe because he has so much understanding in his face now too.
Sleep is as usual. Still anywhere from 1 - 3 wake ups a night, but I honestly don't mind, cause he's going back down so quickly and easily these days that I still feel like I get a decent amount of sleep. Oliver has stopped with the early wake ups too (thank goodness!) and is usually up around 6.30 - 7am most mornings now - perfect! In the past week Oliver has been having better day sleeps too - yesterday it was over 2.5 hours! I'm hoping it's the start of a new trend.
My gym/weight loss endeavors have, um, slowed down a bit... I hurt my knee, then I hurt my foot, so I took a bit of break from gym, and kind of fell of the wagon a bit (or a lot). So, I put a kilos on again , but I'm still better than when I started. It's really hard getting the motivation back once you've lost it - I'm still looking for it TBH. Damn you food - why must you taste so good!?!?!
I have still been going a little - if for no other reason than to chat to Arimeh, lol.
DH and I have been talking a bit recently too - making plans for bubba # 2! I won't say much - just that it will probably be a lot sooner than I've talked about in the past. When DH and I first started talking about it, I have to admit the dominant feeling was me being scared about how I'd handle having two kids! But as I've been thinking about it more and more, I'm getting more excited and am just really looking forward to Oliver having a little brother or sister some day :). I think the main reason I was initially scared is because being a mum has gotten so, easy. Oliver is such a good boy, so even-tempered and independent - we've really fallen into a good rhythm, and I think the thought of messing with that scared me. It still does a little, but I'm seeing all the good stuff now too :). And I look forward to hearing how you go with it all too Dansta!!!
I have quite a busy schedule coming up soon: next Friday I am seeing Eclipse with a mum from my MG. Saturday night is Girl's Night with a bunch of my friends I haven't seen in ages. I think the following weekend is another Girl's Night with Arimeh and Jahzara from BB - we're going ten pin bowling! I'm also in the process of organising a dinner for the mums in my MG where we leave our bubba's at home. It's so good that I feel better about leaving Oliver now of an evening. Once I get him down for the night I can go out, and while DH can't get him back to sleep if he wakes, he can keep him happy enough until I get home :).
Phew... anyway, sorry about all the rambling - mainly this was for your benefit Dansta, so you have something to read! I hope Bundy decides to come soon - I remember I was going crazy going past my EDD!
Anyway, would love to hear from everyone else too!
-
pj:  glad summer is feeling better (along with you!) and she's walking. DJ is still cruzeing around the coutch and trying to walk along walls also. but im tipping (like every one else lol) he'll walk once bundy is born. its interesting she went back to crawling though, but i guess she knows what she's good at!
Sterla: wow you're a busy bee aren't you! im sure you'll find some motovation. i know when i went to the gym (before we had DJ lol) that i wanted to fit into a pair of jeans and a top for a wedding (i think it was) so that was my motovation. sadly i never got there...thanks to DJ LOL! but thats what i found. the other reson i had was an emotonal out-let as well. thats from around the time i met DH heh. and i agree Oli is looking more and more the little man thease days! so is DJ (but he's looking more his age and not so 'old man ish' ) but he sounds like a clever chicken! i love how big his eyes are! i'm glad your getting some mummy time out! ten pin bowls sounds like a blast. something i haven't done in years! OOOO going for #2! heh go for it girlie! life happens once. i cant say its easy (or hard lol) but why not...heck at least have some fun trying ;)
AFM: still here. still up the bloody duff. but hey. i have an 'end date' set (induction) on July 2nd (friday) and that is with me pushing them to 42wks on the dot too. so this week (assumeing i go till friday) will be monday - S&S (had one today also) tuesday - nothing wednesday an u/s to check fluid levels and a CTG thursday is an OB appt (which will be FUN as the MW warned me they could try and push for an induction that day...i wonder what an OB looks like with bleeding ears?) and then friday is induction. but the MW did a S&S today and told me i'm already 2cm and very "strechy" so suggested another one monday and maybe wednesday (if they can fit me in) to try and avoid a full induction. but i've had a few BH's and period type cramps since the S&S. DJ is still having a molar brake though. i've found tho to make him sleep from say 9pm-5:30/6am if i give him oats before bed he's getting hungryer during the day which i'm trying to keep up with (he'll *try* and eat two peanut butter sanngers..but hasn't got the whole bite off thing yet) plus a tin of food as well as (at a guess) over 300g of yogart. his brekkie in the moring is the same size as DH's with a banana for morning tea and plain bikkies or what ever i happen to be munching on in the arvo. and he's still a flippin' twig! but by all accounts this next baby is "going to be a fair size" one guess has them at 8 and a half pound. todays guess has over that! so it'll be interesting to see how 'big' this one is. other then that not much is happening.
Ohh and im not sure if you guys would remember all the drama that was happening with BIL & SIL around the tiem DJ was born? well its come to a head (or did about two weeks ago) when DH confrounted MIL and FIL over their actions towards my 21st (IE have an engagment party to go to three days before hand) and it turns out my SIL is behind the whole freaking thing! i found out that she said to BIL (who showed up at our wedding) she felt he was "betraying her" comming to it! i told DH if they show up after bundy is born i'll be nice - as always to BIL but SIL. nope. not any more. it'll be a case of "what the hell did you bother comming for if you dont like me? you expect a relationship with MY CHILDREN whilest being most disrespectful towards myself. sorry you got a snow balls chance in hell of that happening!" DH agreed. i also said i'd do this WITH my boobie hanging out for MAXIMUM unease on her part. but thats just evil isnt it?
hopefully next time i pop in here i'll have bundy earth side!
-
sterla-thanks for that, she had a bad cough and cold and then croup.its funny you said about you and dh talking about baby number 2 because we have too,ive also been scared,at first it was like same reasons as you,and lately ive been worried if im not coping because summers playing up how will i cope with 2?But realisticly i think it wont be too long beofre we start trying again,i just need to not stress about things i think and when i dont i find summer is so much happier too!How sweet about Oliver! Its amazing how there not babies anymore yet in some ways they are(confusing).thats so good you do alot socially,i need to start doing more i think!
Dansta-wow it could all happen any day!maybe the donuts will help heehee!!!!!yum!I could so go some myself,im such a guts we had maccas brekky not long ago!wow cant believe the dramas you wrote about thats exactly me!Ive been trying to get along and things never works, they dont like me and i dont care anymore, over there rubbish.anyway i hope it all happens soon for you and cant wait to hear all the details!!so cute Dj around furniture and walls summers the same.
AFM-well the party was great fun summer was too little for most games but she could do pass the parcel with a bit of help and she just loved being with all the kids and not to mention the party food.she did alot more walking too so wonder if it was being around all the other kids. Then we had some friends over last night who have been on holidays, they dont have children and wont ever but are so good with summer and bought her pressys so that was nice. Not much other news having a better day today, shes asleep, see how long it lasts we had a big play outside this morning and with yesterday being as she didnt sleep after the party im hoping she actually has one todasy!!

'ello ladies, thankyou for the well wishes :)
Mr Vic (0r monkey as he's known LOL) is in SCN. due to an infection which has the peads scratching their heads about. (trust, its my son  who makes them wonder whats happening LOL) he's been there since he was about an hour and a half old. but doing well. shows no signs of being sick - other then the numbers from the bloods he's had done. they're mainly worried about meningitus at this point - as they did a Lumber Puncure yesterday and the pre-limb results showed white blood cells (i think the number was around 16 - or something so low) which means there is/was an infection but we'll *hopefully* find out what it was on monday (they need 48hrs to grow a culture) and depending on what it is he'll be home in 10days or upto three weeks (tendays starting from the day he was born BTW) so now we wait and see. other then that he's good. Ohh and has toung tie, but know whats happening as DJ also had that. but the funny thing is - other then a mis-shapen nipple Vic is very, very good at breast feeding! so i'm friggin' stocked about that. we'll hopefully get the toung tie cut ASAP - provided that hes not in hospital too long as NONE of the peads cut it at the hospital :wtf:
DJ has met Vic once - he smiled but wasn't sure of him LOL. but intime they'll be getting to know each other. DH, MIL and FIL have been looking after him while i've been in and out of the hospital. so tomorrow DH, MIL and FIL will see VIC and i'll spend time with DJ. i miss him alot! i'm home on my own ATM as i just need some time out. and should be asleep (i've had no more then 4 hours of sleep since tuesday night/early wednesday morning!) but i though i'd update you ladies! i'll have photos on FB soon too of him. he's the polar oppset of DJ!
-
Hi Dansta!I have been keeping up with you a bit on FB,really hope all goes well and you can take your beautiful Vic home soon!Must be very tiring on you and Dh with all this happening and little Dj to care for too so wishing you all well and happiness, keep your chin up and hope its all good news to come home soon!!
anybody else out there?feels quite strange!!
-
ello laides
every one quiet again huh?
Dj is teething again. been fairly misreable the last few nights (could also be a little green eye'd about vic too) but he's walking when some one holds his hands which is good. still not any where near walking on his own though. he's had a growth spert and looking like a really little boy. with HUGE frigging hands! like he can link his fingers though mine - with minmal streching! he's also still a daddies boy though and though. DH found a leak in my cars rear window (well 1/4 pannle window) and DJ spent like 30mins standing in the back of the car (wagon) watching DH fiddle around with the carpet! which was really cute. i also have a cute photo of DJ asleep on DH thismorning too. lucky for him DJ didnt dribble on him  DJ is a little green eye'd about vic and hasn't quite grasped the idea of "genteal" with vic, but he's getting there. mind you carrying a toddler AND a new born isn't easy, but a little better when vic can hold his head up already 0_o but he can cuddle people really well and is a true ladies man - while in hospital DJ stole the hearts of a few of the nurses!
Vic is going well too. getting bigger. he's now in infant nappys over night - and soon will be in them during the day as well. (lucky my cousin is due to have twins in september, so i can pass on all the NB nappies and infant ones as they're unisex!) next week vic will have his first MCHN appt. to be weighed and mesured and alike. my guess is he'll be over the 5kg if not very, very close to the 5kg mark. the MCHN did a home vist today and she told me i was rather "laid back" about the whole thing. when i asked her what she expected me to be she said "a little upset" ohh dear. this women clearly has no idea what i'm like - dispite seeing everything that happend with DJ - this whole thing with Vic...is alot easier to deal with. yes its been more tromatic BUT i've been told what's been happening - i've been allowed to say no to things (Ie the Anti's vic was given was held off until after the blood tests confermed an infection). so yes, it was hard. but we're getting there. Ohh and she and the hospital failed to put on my discharge summery that my membraines ruptured as vic's head was crowning
-
Hi girls :D.
Well, I am definitely going to post a BIG post later, but for now I just wanted to share with you girls that I'm pregnant!!! Three tests today, and three :bfp:. I still can't believe it, but I'm so happy!!!
-
OMEGESDAFKFDSLKHFDHDFJKHFDH
you sneeky, SNEEKY! little chicken! you should 'ave told me you where in the TWW last night!
ahhhh! thats made my day!!!!!
...i will now be living vicarisly though you. you know that right?
-
Okay, so I'm back and am aiming to write a (hopefully) big post.
Firstly, yes I was being serious, I am pregnant. It doesn't feel real, I've only had today to process, and I still can't quite believe it. AF was about two days late, though it's been kind of hard to tell what my cycles are doing while I'm still breastfeeding. That's another reason why I really wasn't expecting a BFP - I was never quite sure when I was ovulating, or quite sure when AF would be due. Obviously we must have done something right though! ;)
So, this morning first thing I did a test. When I first looked I could only see one line, but then I had a closer look and could just see the faintest hint of a second line. I showed DH and he could see it. But it was so faint I had trouble believing it.
Arimeh was coming to visit in the morning, and she had a spare test so I asked her to bring hers. So she did, and I did another one. Again, I initially thought it was negative, but then on closer inspection I could just make out a second line. Mel (Arimeh) had a look and she could definitely see it. But once again, because the line was so faint I just couldn't believe it.
Then, in the afternoon I bought another 3 pack of tests - this time the really sensitive ones. I did the test, and this time there was a very, very clear second line. Finally, I believed it!!!
DH is really happy. We haven't had a chance to discuss it very much yet, since he was at work, and now we have MIL staying with us tonight - but he seems very happy :).
I'm not exactly sure how far along I am - 4-5 weeks would be my guess, but I think I'll ask for a dating scan at some point so that I can know for sure how far along I am.
There's so much to think about... but for now I still trying to wrap my head around it.
***I'll be back another time for an Oliver update :). For now I better go have some birthday cake with the MIL.
-
STERLA-CONGRATULATIONS!!!!Thats lovely news!!Im so excited for you!Me and DH were thinking of trying while we are on holiday now but hes a bit too still not sure so we decided to wait just another couple of months but i cant wait!!Cant wait to hear of the scan.
DANSTA-Hows things going?you had a rough trot.Is it really hard with 2 I worry how id cope,You amaze me you just seem to be so calm and good mum threw all youve been threw.Sounds like you are just totally enjoying it now.
AFM-We are on holiday at the moment which is nice Summer srprised me and has been a good sleepeer while away except last night was awful she was up 3 hours at least in the night. She been having a few tannys which are really driving me crazy well more embaressing than anything!Does anyone else have them?I wasnt even sure if this thread was still going yah!Its been so long since we had our bubs!
-
Pj: DJ has tanties when DH leaves. but other then that he's all good. sounds like you're holiday is going well.
as for dealing with two, its not *too* bad, yep we have days where im like :wall: but i guess that happens with one as well. i have been 'calm' most of the time. other times - like with Vic in hospital i was anything but. i was rather biatchy to a pead who wanted to start anti's strait away. and another pead copped it last week when she told me how "sick" vic looked in SCN - according to the notes. i corrected her and told her the only reson they had an idea he was sick was due to a fever that resloved its self AND never came back. also the blood tests. that was all. none of this sick caper and the jaundaice was NOTHING as once again only blood tests showed it up
sterla: im still bouncing around for you! teehee! i'll be stalking your ticker now. will you find out with this little Twinkle? (OMG love the name!!)
AFM: been fairly crusey around here. DJ still isn't walking :( but meh. i've given up on dates/times. we should be seeing an early interverntion group soon. see if that helps. i admit i'm not overly worried. friends of MIL their girls didn't walk until they where three. and DJ isn't really talking eather but my aunt didnt talk until she was 3 as well. but he's going well. got an eye tooth though earlier this week. as well as two points to a molar. Vic is going well too. saw the MCHN on tuesday. i didn't realise but he was born on the 90th% for weight :o and just above the 75th% for hight. and is still there, and fully BF'd  only down side is i cant seem to find any nice b.f friendly tops for my nans 90th/christmas, which is a little annoying. the only nice ones i've seen are $100+ (but i haven't really looked at Ebay yet. plus my size is a little *ahem* harder to find...im an 18DD in bra's atm.)
Ohh and i dont know if any of you remember "tracy&tribe" she lost her little girl at 41+3 due to a rupture (VBAC)?? she's expecting again (her new name is ButterflyForever) and she's 16 weeks. i almost cried when i saw her ticker.
-
Well, I'm back. I always take ages to remember to come back, lol.
PJ: Thanks :D. We're pretty chuffed! That's so exciting that you're thinking of trying for another bub soon! I can totally understand being unsure though - it's a lot to think about! Sounds like you're having a great time on your holiday! I'm glad Summer is sleeping well for you, for the most part, while you're away.
We haven't had any full blown tanties here, but we get close sometimes, especially when Oliver is already a bit tired or grumpy. He almost lost it at playgroup yesterday when I took a texta off him because he was sucking on it. Luckily he was fairly easily distracted out of it! I don't know how much last it will last though - I've heard a lot of little kids really kick it up with tantrums when they turn 2. Let's hope not!
Dansta: LOL, I'm glad you're so excited for me! :p And yes, I finally came up with a belly name! Oliver didn't have one, so I really wanted to have one for this one - I was thinking for a couple of days, and then Twinkle just came to me! Mind you, my way of thinking to getting there was a bit, um, odd. It actually came from me thinking "I loved you when you were just a twinkle in your father's eye". Anyway, now we have a name and I'm really happy with it.
I think we will find out boy or girl for Twinkle - I guess I'm hoping for a girl, mainly because I do really want a girl, and if I have one this time round it takes the pressure off for later children, iykwim?
Try not to worry about DJ - he'll get there . When he's in school running around with all the other kids, no one is going to care if he started walking when he was 1 or 3! Glad to hear Vic is going well - I saw a pic of him the other day and he's looking so well! Such a cutie-pie! Wow about Vic being on the 90th for weight and 75th for height! Big boy :D. And I am so, so happy for you that breastfeeding is working out so well this time! That is awesome!!! I'm no help with breatfeeding tops... I'm a 18H . The best I could manage was wearing a singlet top that was quite stretchy underneath tops, then I used to just pull the singlet top down enough to pop out a boob!
I didn't know about ButterflyForever - how wonderful for her!
AFM: So, I have been the doctors and had all my blood tests done. Came back with a positive result, of course, so I am no 'officially' pregnant! All my other results came back good, so no problems there. I have been booked in for a scan when I'm around 12 weeks (5th October) - it's supposed to be the down syndrome, etc screening scan, but will also double as a bit of dating scan, as I'm not totally sure on my dates. We were told we can bring along a CD or DVD to record the scan onto as well, so that is super exciting, cause all we got for Oliver were a couple of flimsy, small photos.
I've also contacted the independent midwives at the local Birth Centre and they are happy to look after me - but they don't start that until 16 weeks, so still a bit of a wait. I am really after a VBAC, and I think the birth centre will give me the best chance of that.
I have been feeling a bit bloated, and fairly tired, but apart from that I'm feeling good. No morning sickness yet.
We have told my parents and brother and sister, and DH's mum and brother so far - everyone has been really happy for us.
Oliver is really good. He seems to have finally gotten over his string of illnesses. At the moment he still has a cough, but that's it. He is a very busy little boy - his current favourite pastime is hiding things under/in things. He has a little tombliboo finger puppet that he likes to hide under our couch cushions, then he shrugs his should and puts his hands out as if to say "where is it?", so we say "Where is the tombliboo?", then he retrieves it and says "Der is" which is Oliver for 'there it is'. It's very cute, but he'll do it over and over and over again so it gets a bit tiresome!
We are getting lots of new words, though most of them still aren't very clear, but I know what he's saying, so that's the main thing I suppose!
Last week we had Oliver's 18 month check, and that went well. He is 10.18kg and 83.5cm tall - so tall and skinny! The child health nurse was really happy with how he's going though, and was very impressed that I was still breastfeeding. And, speaking of breastfeeding, it looks like Oliver and I are the last ones to wean from our mums group. There were a fair few still going, but in the past couple of months they have all weaned, except for Oliver and I. I don't think Oliver will be weaning anytime soon either, unless the pregnancy causes him to.
I think that's all - we haven't really had much happen apart from our big news. I'm very much over winter, can't wait for the weather to warm up.
Hope you're all well :grouphug:.

hello ladies! how are we?
gah 11 weeks sterla! thats just nuts! *cluckcluckcluck*
things here are good.
Dj still isn't walking but he's trying! which is good. waiting on early intervention and all still. but other then that he's just cheeky. although we did give him his first shave-hair cut. thanks to a bad hair cut from me  so he now looks like a real little man, which is very cute. he's also become DH's shadow, he can crawl really fast to keep up with him! he's also still co-sleeping with DH although the other night he slept in his cot from 11pm-5:30am which was nice and vic was in the bassent beside the bed so DH and I got to snuggle, alone together in bed for the first time since before vic was born! but once DJ clams down some then it'll be all four of us in bed together - until it gets too hot that is
Oh and we're starting to use cloth nappys too! im waiting on 6 (i think it is LOL) all up and then we'll do more then every 2nd day cloth which will be fun. i love how cute the cloth looks on both boys!
hope every one is having a good weekend!

Hello everyone,
late replies but wow so much on the go, we got given notice that the owners are selling the place and decided to move in with the in laws on the Central Coast to see if we like it and its a bit further for work for DH so to test out on travelling as well. Apart from the unbelievable amount of house inspections to show prospect buyers ( I am on at least 15) and trying to keep the house clean, this pregnancy has not been easy. A LOT of cramping which has me with a heated wheat bag on my tummy every night and the afternoon are awful with tiredness at the moment. I went to the Dr to check on cramping and went for what I thought was an 8 wks scan...I was just under 6 wks and were lucky to see a heartbeat, however, it was only 67 bpm which is low, but both Dr and technician said that because of the age of the foetus, not to worry. I am going for my "real" 8 wks scan next week to follow up. Still got lots of cramping but not spotting or bleeding so thats what I am on the lookout for, then I can start worrying. THey also found a small hemerroage (sp?) in my uterus but same goes, no spotting=good news. So trying to stay positive, but will be nice next week to see if all is ok in the belly.
Other than that, my very keen of smell is back with a vengeance but ms has been quite good this time around, what is NOT good is hormones...WOW I am like a volcano waiting to erupt every 5 minutes. Seriously, I am having a bit of a hard time coping with Sammy at the moment who is in full swing of terrible 2's, with being defiant, not listening to anything I say or doing anything as she is told. I have been yelling a lot and I can't seem to control it. DH has been copping it in. Last time, I was teary, this time I am all "grrrrrrrrrrrrrr" which is not very nice. It will be good to move iin with MIL and FIL as they can help with Sammy, I just have NO patience with her at all and its just not fair. It's almost as if maternal instinct/nurtureness goes out the door a couple times a day. Hoping this goes away soon. My MIL guessed I was pg and I think a couple more people suspect as we had a death in the family amost all this, I didn't have a few glasses of wine and think DH's aunty caught on but she is too nice to ask, she knows I'll tell when ready, as she has just lost her hubby, it will be nice fo9r her I think, one goes, one is born...
Peach: AWESOME!!! another little fat chop eh? One of each then...will it be the end??? I am sure your vagina will be fine too but 9lbs, he's a big fat chop then!! Haha
Sterla: Adele is just so beautiful, how is Oli coping? Is he nice to her? was he good in pg as well, Sammy keeps on pushing me in the belly, we have explained to her that there is a bubba in there (we';ve had pg friends around so she understands the concept per say) not sure if this is early jealousy. All I can tell you is that when we went to visit my friend who jst had a newborn and I was holding him, Sammy was doing 150 circles around me asking to be picked up...will have to be careful on how we approach the whole thing.
Did any of you had monster hormones with no2...its a bit worrying, this morning I just feel I can't cope with Sam at the moment...WE are off to playgroup, so bound to let off some steam.
Have a good day everyone

Oh and the funniest thing with new dates, my new EDD is 25th January, Sammy's was 27th of January, can't believe I am going to have 2 summer babies and only 1 to 2 weeks apart, December, Jan and Feb are going to be expensive months in the coming years.!
-
Moose: Yay, I'm still so excited for you :leap:. That must be a lot of worrying with all the cramping and dating scan stuff. :crossfingers: Wishing you all the best for your dating scan next week! Sounds like you're having a rough time between being pregnant, dealing with Sammy and trying to sell/move! Go easy on yourself! Being pregnant the second time is a lot harder than the first time with a toddler to look after, so make sure you're kind to yourself .
How is everyone else? How are the pregnancies going Peach and 1pj? How is life in the beautiful country going Dansta?
AFM: I am slowly settling into life as a mum of two. Oliver is so wonderful with Adele. He absolutely adores his baby sister, always giving her cuddles and wanting to hold her. When she cries he says "kay baby" and tries to comfort her! The worst we've had is Oliver telling me to put the baby down when he wants me to do something with him - so a very smooth transition all around on Oliver's part. I'm adjusting okay - some days, like today are great, others I struggle. It usually depends on how happy the kidlets are! It helps if I have visitors - I tend to struggle more when I'm stuck at home for days and days.
We went out for tea last night with MIL, and that was all good. I put Adele in the carrier and she slept the whole time, and Oliver was very well behaved (even if he didn't eat much of anything).
Adele is fairly good for the most part. Breastfeeding has been really smooth and she's gaining weight really well. She sleeps fairly well at night - though I've noticed she sleeps even better in bed with me than in the bassinet. She has had a bit of trouble with wind which I think I've put down to a fast flow that she struggles to keep up with, but I think that is slowly getting better too. She's often more unsettled in the mornings, then spends all afternoon sleeping!
I'm so looking forward to her growing up - all those milestones to look forward to all over again! :)
I hope you're all well lovely ladies :grouphug:.

Hi ladies,
had the worst day yesterday, after finding one spot of blood in my undies, I went and got checked and my little one has gone to see the angels. I am pretty devastated but had a really good cry yesterday and just slept 12 hours so feeling better. Most likely have to go to hospital and get a D&C today. Thank goodness Sammy was with her Nana. Will let you know how I go.
M xx
