Hi ladies!!Glad to hear everyone sounds well!Sorry I havent been in here for a while we seemed sooooo busy over the break! All is well here but I guess most of you might know about poor Summers leg!!I think in my last post I mentioned my nephew and neice wwere playing on the floor with her and she suddenly started screaming and they thought maybe she'd hit her head well i turned out her leg was fractured poor poppet!!We didnt even know, after she cried for about half hour she went to sleep and then woke like normal for her bath and went back to bed no worries it wasnt till the next day we noticed she was favouring the leg so i took her to the docs and they sent her for xrays and then up the hospital for a cast, its a undisplaced fracture so its not all the way threw I still feel so bad poor thing. She only has the cast on for another week now so thats good news though. It seems the only story we can get out is that her leg may have got caught under the rocker thing and one of them leant on it.crazy as shes played with them sooo many times before and usually my nephew i have to keep an eye on but ive told him that many times and hes 10 so not as if he not get it and they were sitting on the floor with her while she playing with toys and there were 5 adults sitting right there!!!Anyway cant keep on about it just glad shes healing nicely!
Peach-Wow thats something i keep waiting for, summer hasnt pulled herself up yet but can sit up,i will start pulling the rail up too!!Made me laugh about pulling your pants down when winter grabs hold of you heehee cute
DJ-good on yo!!I dont believe in the crying thing either too sad surely it harms them and makes them feel unloved???Ive been told that too and i stupidly tried it once it was the worst arvo of my life and summer was soooo distraught after and it didnt do anything!
Sterla-I love it!!boob!heehee!when I saw pics of Oli on the walker thing on facebook I could see how good he is at walking!!hes so clever!!
sorry its so quick ladies but i can hear someone waking up id better go!!Oh BTW somebody has started to make an effort to crawl!!!!yah!!Cast and all!!!
-
Good to hear from you Pj, Im glad Summer is doing well and trying to crawl with the cast on how exciting :) Dont be too hard on yourself about her leg, with a bunch of adults around you would think you could leave the room for a sec hey. Its hard not to get the Mummy guilts sometimes though.
*Yawn* Winter didnt sleep through again last night its been about a week now, minus the two nights she slept in her pram next to our bed. And then the stupid dog next door woke us all up at half six, GGGRRR! Anyway things apart from that are good, was meant to see a friend today but she is unwell so Im not getting out of my pj's all day :)
Hope you all had a good night*

Hello everyone :)
I think I better clarify... I didn't make my own avvy, Trillian made that (she does most of them I think), but I did make Arimeh's. I didn't mean for it to sound like I'd made mine too .
Dansta: Sounds like you had a busy New Year's. That sucks about your family telling you to CIO with DJ :( It's hard sometimes - when people say that to me I'm torn between wanting to inform them about how crappy CIO is, or just smiling and nodding (and completely disregarding what they say). Usually I opt for smile and nod, cause I'm not big on confrontation .
Awww about slobbery kisses - they're the best!
Peach: That's great about Winter cruising around furniture! Clever girl.
That sucks about the lack of sleep - I hear you though. I am so tired, thank goodness DH is home on holidays still so I can kick him out of bed in the mornings and get an extra hour or two sleep.
:o Oh no about Winter falling out of her cot! I've worried about that with Oliver. I'm pretty sure he can't, but I still wonder and worry sometimes.
Saw your sig - less than a month till Winter is one!!! It's so hard to believe our babies are all about to turn one! Are you having a party for Winter?
PJ: Like Peach said, don't be too hard on yourself about Summer's leg . That's good that her cast comes off soon.
 Wow, well done Summer starting crawling with a cast!!! That's impressive!
Moose: How are you and Sammy? Flat out I imagine ;)
AFM: Oliver has been up since 6am (officially - before that he was up and down every half an hour since 3am). Hasn't gone down for a sleep yet (apart from 5 mins at around 8.30am). Exhausting!
Yesterday we had MG in the park, that was nice. So many bubs started crawling over the Christmas break - I think three are properly crawling and one is sort of 'worming' along the ground - bubs have been busy!
We also had friends over last night for board games which we haven't done in ages! They are understandably busy - being that they're getting married a month from today!
I'm a bit tired and can't think of what else we've been up to, sorry. I hope you're all well.
-
Pj: should we start calling Summer peg-leg? she's doing brillaint to be trying to crawl with her legs in a cast! im sure things will sort them selfs out RE your nephew. and aww about the cot-diving thing too. my sister did that and chipped her fount tooth- chaceing her Dummy noless (and yes, shes a blonde but now a lawyer...so tis not all bad ;) )
Peach: aww about the dog :( maybe she'll get used to it? we have a dog next door to us - and she barks from time to time but DJ sleeps though it - i think hes used to it now. i hope winter sleeps better for you
sterla: yay for crawling bubbas at MG! hehe you're noice kicking your DH out of bed to tend to Oli - i'd be doing the same thing ;) i hope Oli gets some sleep for you. as for the CIO - they're lucky i was in a good mood other wise i'd most likely have gone to town on them - and even offered to send them the studies i have read regarding CIO and the affects it has on babies. esp. the one with out a child. she is just a tad full of her self...didnt talk to me for 12 months then on NYE gave me a belly rub for bundy 0_0
AFM: we have some toothie pegs on the rise! or rather fall. two top ones i saw white lumps yesterday morning but by the arvo they'd gone down...give it a week and we'll have four teethies, not two! and no doubt the rest wont be too far behind...i better go i have a Mr Dj awake!
-
Good Morning :)
Sterla- Thats crazy Oli is up every half hour, do you know why? Is he just needing help to settle each time? *Yawn* Winter didnt sleep through againg last night and the DAMN dog next door woke me up again today, this time at 6. You'll feel like a new woman once Oli starts sleeping through :)
Tha sounds really fun playing board games, DP never wants to play anything with me as I always win(he reckons anyway). What games do you like to play?
Not too much happening here, Winter is so cheeky she has started doing this thing where if she picks something up off the floor to put in her mouth as soon as we go to get it off her instead of sitting still she turns around and crawls away at full speed smiling :)
SIL hopefully visiting today with Winters cousin who is 5 weeks younger than her.
Oh and as for Piglet's birthday, it is on a thursday so I think we will have a little MG party here, then on the sat we will have a family and close friends get together at home also. SIL emailed me a link to a site with sugar-free cakes so thinking I will bake one for Fat Chops. What are you girls doing for birthdays? I cant believe it either Sterla, where has the time gone?
-
ello laides.
been quiet eh?
been a busy day for us. but not in a good way. our bubba boy has chicken pox :( have nooo idea where he picked it up from but he looks bad, is a wee grumpy but other then that fairly normal. my mother tried to push us to see a GP tomorrow, but we're going to hold off until tuesday - so we dont have to go out in the heat. lucky for me i already had it when i was a kid, and so has DH. but my poor bubba :( at least he wont rember it!
-
Dansta: Poor DJ! Give him a big  from me and Oliver. That's strange though, I wonder where he picked it up? I suppose it could be as simple as catching it from someone out at the shops? Also, I've heard some people actually can't get chickenpox, but are still carriers and pass it on to other people.
I hope DJ is feeling better very soon .
Peach: We play lots of board games. The most recent have been Sorts, Articulate, Talkin' 'bout Your Generation and Partini. Lucky for me, DH likes playing games, and we have a friend couple who also like playing :D.
Yup, we're doing a small party for Oliver's birthday - I should probably send out some invitations about now, hey?! We will just have it at our house - family, a few close friends and a select few mums+bubs from MG (I don't think I want invite all 17 of them!)
Did you get those sugar-free cake recipes? Any good ones, cause I'm thinking of doing the same.
PJ, Moose, anyone else??? How are you all?
AFM: Had a fairly quiet week really. Had DH home, so we've just had a lot of days hanging out at home. Yesterday we had visitors galore - my dad and sister, then MIL, then dad again, then my brother, then my mum, then four friends (who came over to play board games - again).
I'm fairly sure Oliver has one of his top front teeth coming through. The white bulges have been there for a while, but I caught a glimpse today and it looked like a hole in the middle of the white bulge - I'm assuming it is the tooth cutting through the gum? He was super grumpy tonight and took forever to get to sleep - we ended up giving him panadol cause he was obviously in pain, poor little man :(.
Oliver has been busy, as usual (when are our bubs not busy?). He can now walk just holding on to one of our hands. It's funny though, he seems to prefer us holding his left hand. Hold his left hand and he'll walk along fine, hold his right and he'll refuse to walk and sit down. He's also started imitating animal noises - he says 'meow' (well, his own odd-sounding version of it), and "moo".
Not much else to report, other than we're off to a 3rd birthday party tomorrow morning (for Arimeh's oldest), and DH goes back to work on Monday :(.
Hope you're all well - goodnight.
-
Hi again ladies!!! How is everyone doing?
Not much happening here - I'm just trying to keep busy now that DH is back at work.
Anyway, Oliver has woken up, so I better go. I mainly just wanted to pop in to see how everyone is doing. :)
-
sterla: you busy bee!
we've been busy with the pead appt and the chicken spots. pead was happy with DJ but still wants to do a test for metobolic rate (sp?) and something else. had a twat of a mother sent me a few sms's today read : https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ml#post2132310
other then that things are fairly cruisy around here. i'll be back later. i need to go do some melly bashin' ;)
-
Hey All,
Just want to say I am still alive, in laws and visitors only left last Monday so we are slowly getting back into the daily routine. Sounds like everyone had a great Xmas and Sammy got spoiled too. No time to write about it now but will be back in the next couple days to give a nice full long post update as per usual! haha
I am running out of idea & creativity of what to give Sam for lunch. Especially on hot days...what is your bub's favorite lunch?
Moose
-
Dansta: That sucks about the mum in your MG :(. Have you sorted things out with her?
Moose: Hi!!! Nice to see you around :D. Sounds like you've been super busy! As for lunch ideas... I get stuck too. Sandwiches are good. Slices of cucumber to munch are nice and refreshing (and a good idea for teething too btw). Yogurt with fruit if you've had cereal or something for breakfast. Tuna through pasta with cheese if you like (can be served hot or cold). I tried Oliver with an omelette not long ago (had onion, capsicum and cheese in the middle) and he loved that... Now that our bubs are almost a year old they can have pretty well everything we have - so I often just make Oliver the same as what I'm having :).
AFM: Well, AF came back today... it's only taken 11 months! Can't say I missed her at all ;). I am kind of glad AF arrived though, as I was concerned I'd have to wean Oliver in order to start TTC (when we decide to). So, it is a relief. Now, just better be careful in the bedroom... or not ;).
Oliver seems to be getting lots of new teeth all of a sudden. He has two bottom, and almost 4 top teeth now. I know two top teeth are through for sure, but I haven't checked in a couple of days, and I know that another two were very close.
And I can't remember if I mentioned it or not, but Oliver has now perfected walking only holding onto us with one hand. He uses his other hand to balance a bit, and he can actually get a bit of speed up... walking may not be too far away :).
We've been having some better nights recently. In the past week we've had 4 nights where Oliver has slept 5-6 hours before waking, and a few nights where he has only woken once. I feel so refreshed you wouldn't believe! I no longer feel like a walking zombie! This together with really good day sleeps (2 x 1.5-2 hour sleeps a day) I'm hoping it is the start of a new trend :crossfingers:.
Anyway, I should go and attempt some housework before Oliver wakes up. I hope everyone is well!
-
moose: YaY glad your alive! as for lunch DJ atm seems to like pasta or fruit. i am however trying to cox him onto sangers - he wont eat bread atm 0_0 i have a strage child :P
sterla: YaY for a/f!(i think lol!) maybe #2 will be here sooner then you think ;) and aww at Oli. he's such a smartie pants. hes looking veeery cute though!
AFM: havent talked to that mum from MG - i see no point. she sent the first sms to *every one* (i talked to another mum from MG) and i told her what happend and how i tried to end it telling her i was dealing with bigger issues then chicken spots! next MG will be nice - if she brings it up damn she'll be brung down. she cant be 'mother goose' im not the type of person who can be told what/when/how to do things (thus i have issues with my mother  ) but im worse if i'm ignored when i know how to treat *my* son. as for the appt. on tuesday was with a really good pead he thinks DJ is fine, but wants to test his metobolic rate due to him not sitting up (???) but im going to question that when he calls as i'd like to know if the sitting up should be due to being placed in the sitting postition and allowing the back mucles to compensate OR doing it on there own, we did/are doing the latter due to the bad reflux DJ had untill around 8 months of age. which i think if he tells me its from being sat up i may decline the further testing as i feel DJ is doing things in his own time (like he's quite good at climbing up DH and sitting on his knees whilest holding himself up on DH's chest, its really cute as he cant do that with me due to my boobies :P ) other then that all is good. DJ is getting over the chicken pox really well, i feel bad his poor little doodle and berrys have to get some on them :( but at least he cant scrach! he's also *very close* to having his two top teethies pop out, which is hard for the poor mite has he has the spots toboot! he's been unsettled of a night so after about 1am hes in bed with DH and I, he was in with us last night at 11:45pm and spelt until 7:30am which was a nice sleep for all of us, esp DH whoes been doing 9-5 the past week and feels like hes "missed out on seeing DJ" a little. as for bundy? things are going along nicely. little upset that DH wont be able to make it to the 20wk u/s :( due to is cruddy work (that is they expect him to work 7 full days (Ie monday-sunday) then start his new job (which is the same job just a differant company) on the monday for another full 5 days :o he isnt even sure if he gets Australia day off!! not.happy.jan!also been feeling movements and i have a little belly on me now - which i've started taking photos of - and will post to FB sooner or later along with DH and his "face paint" IE calamine lotion hehe. i also found out my father is having a full knee replacement in the middle of may and MIL is umming and arrring about having her hip replaced (i'm all for it because she loves walking and its getting harder and harder for her to do this along with canoeing too) any whoo i better be off to wash the dishes before the old man wakes up!
-
Dansta: That sucks about the mum from your MG.
Sounds like the paed was pretty happy with DJ then. I'm glad he's recovering well from chickenpox - poor little guy.
Yay about bundy!!! That is so exciting about having a bit of a bump and feeling movements!!! Must make it feel so real (again).
Oliver hasn't had his afternoon sleep today :wall:. Mummy needs a break Oliver! I have him watching Baby Einstein now, so that will have to do for my break today I suppose.
-
Hi Girls,
A quick one, Sterla Im SO glad Oli is starting to sleep well at night for you finally!!! Its a great feeling hey :) And that is so cute him holding your hand and walking, what a champion!
Moovose- Winter and I have been having all the same things to eat this week as she is refusing to eat off a spoon. Boiled eggs quartered, mushrooms chopped, tofu sticks, pasta spirals, fruit, steamed vegies thats mainly what she has been having as well as toast or a sandwich. And she had dumplings and vegies with me last night for dinner :) So good to hear from you too.
AFM had a birthday party yday and another one today from mg, and the same for last sat! Tmrw we are taking Schmiggles to the beach which s

Sorry lap top is pooing itself!
-
The suspense is killing me Peace! :p
-
Ah sorry!
Which she loves I was going to say. Anyhow, plan has changed now DP has to work :(
How has everyone's day been? Hope you all have a great weekend :)
-
sterla: how's Oli go today?? any better with the sleeps? how close is he to standing/walking on his own? DJ has been fairly unsettled (pox and climbing more and standing with help more too!) i hope you got a brake today!
peach: gaww. about the beach :( at least you'll have the rest of summer to go there! something DH, DJ and I havent done yet :( but we'll get there. that sounds like piglett has some really good food! im still on fairly smooshed food for DJ, he only has two teethies...still!!
AFM: been a fairly cuzey day. DJ is climbing over DH and I (and a matress we have on the floor) alot now. he also Looooves to stand! its crazy, hes funny he's flat out not drinking milk (well formular any way) but he's funny - he has to be standing/semi standing and then he'll drink not before  i have a strange boy. Ohh and it has to be iced water too. but im thinking between the teething, the 'pox and the developmental leap (i think it is) we're doing fairly well. Ohh and we have a smart cat! our female (bella) threw up today - but unlike our male (whoes a typical male LOL) who'll throw up only on the carpet, our female threw up on the floor boards! and when she did try and throw up on the carpet, she let me pick her up and re-direct her! lol. Ooo better be off to see if i can get DJ to sleep!
