Hey Girls,

We are all starting to get over the flu which is good, have had a vaporiser in Erin's room which really seems to have helped.

SAL - Well done for Brendan he has come such a long way and your big boy is eating steak thats terrific!!!
KYM - Great news on being able to give up the Saturday will bce nice for you to have some good family time together.Hope the kitchen reno all goes well, maybe you will be having a few BBQ's!!!
LISA --Hope your feeling better hun. Good things come in small packages with yoru gorgeous Harrison, was wonderin does he get called Harry as well? Got to get ERins chicken pox jab next week and then book a appt with CHN before bub 2 comes along.
ROSEHIP - Good luck with Dh job hunting, when do you start your teacher training? Is that primary school age?
JAYNE _ Where are you hon, is Claudys' toe ok?
KEL - How are you my love? How's Jem feeling? Loving the new tupperware already used the bowls heaps. How is the tupperware going?Did AF arrive?

Dh is on nightshift so just done all the ironing so going to sit down now and relax for a while. Got a Hen's Day Lunch on Saturday at a winery( Lemon lime and bitters for me!!!) and the wedding is next weekend. Tried a dress on that I bought for a 21st last pregnancy and it looked ok so got that sorted. Had the midwife appt on Tuesday and all looks good and she said bub is head first. Been getting up about 5 times a night to go to the loo . fun fun!!! Really starting to get excited now with less then 4 weeks to go it now feels real!!!

Hi. Where is everyone? Can't believe I'm asking that question!!! Normally I go MIA!!!

Kristy and Kel, I hope kitchen thing happens quickly too, don't think i'd cope with 6months! And yes, our BBQ has a gas burner on side, so hopefully this warm weather keeps up and we can cook outside. (I am essentially banned from using the real part of the BBQ - DH is one of those guys who is a bit possessive of his BBQ and as a result i don't really even know how to turn it on!!!)

Lisa, thanks for the unintentional reminder that i need to book in Monkey's 18mo check at ECHC - ours only does standard checks at 9 and 18mo, so she hasn't been down there for ages. I'm not really concerned about anything, but would be nice to check her height (i'm sure she's still on the short side too - you have friends Harrison!) and also would like some reassurance that her quite crazy bowel habits are still normal.

Oh and on the height thing - my mum told me that you were supposed to double height at 2yrs for boys, but 18mo for girls, it worked for my bro and i using that formula... (he's 6'3" in a family of shorties - not that height is an indicator of one's ability to avoid becoming a loser......)

And not to say that Madeleine won't be 6'2", but maybe you should check her 18mo height, Lisa???

And Kel, I still can't believe you can live without a telly - you rock - wish i could be that committed!!!

Sally, Monkey still won't eat steak - Brendan is cool! Keep us up to date of all the new talking i'm sure he'll be doing soon!

We have a fairly quiet Sunday tomorrow - yay - hopefully will stay sunny enough to get into the sandpit (well for Monkey anyway, i've recently outgrown sand play!!!)

kristy - yep AF came i had a 48 day cycle! the willy nilly breastfeeding i am doing wont be helping that.. jemima is almost asking for it so i am almost considering weaning her but i like the night time feed so i have to get it back to just night time..... at the moment we are having morning and sometimes mid morning and early evening feeds.... hmmmm

kymmmmmmmmmmmmmy i just read your signature i CANT believe you are 31 you look awesome buddy! and no tv thing - i have not noticed yet... i just get "pangs" when i think that all saints might be on (the repeats or the new ones) and get a bit "jealous" to hear you talk about deal or no deal which was one of my faves and also wonder if i am doing jemima some kind of injustice by not exposing her to the wiggles, the down the garden thing and fairies and playschool and stuff like that - she has all the books and stuff but who knows

i have decided no family daycare - i asked jems current daycare what they thought and they wrote me a letter (the leader was not there when i asked etc) anyway she is lacking in social interaction skills she prefers to play by herself and she does not interact well with other children....... whoops wonder what i have done "wrong" there... will talk to the leader more next week and see what i can do to help....

i am going to try out a playgroup on friday morning - different to mothers group - so that is exciting andhave changed jem's daycare days to tuesday (at the moment a day for me to keep trying to catch up on stuff - kymmmmmy if you saw my study you would understand.... i think the rest of my house was "ok" when you came over) and daycare thursday where i will now be working EVERY thursday afternoon at the opshop (gosh i wish i could get paid for it.... oh well) and i work every couple of saturdays there too... i do love it.... then wednesday is swimming lessons mid morning and monday is just for me and jem to figure out what we want to do and most likely visit someone or maybe i will take her to the shops or stuff....

that was longer than i thought it was
gotta go and get some sleep so i can do more digging tomorrow (i am digging to china)

We renovated our kitchen today and i'm stuffed!!

Brendan had 18m jabs on thursday, and he was fine he screamed becasue he was taken away from the toys!!

Lisa - Sorry to ehar that you have been so sick. I don't know how you can cope looking after Harrison being bedridden for so long. You're amazing. How is your diet going? Are you back on it again now you AF cycle is sorted out?

Sally- Way to Go Brendan on eating steak. That is fantastic. And thank god the TT is a thing of the past. It is going to make a huge difference with his eating and talking now. I hope the operation wasn't too hard on you and didn't bring back too many memories of when he was born etc. I was thinking of you. And kitchen renos as well. You're the third person on Feb BB this year that is getting their kitchen done (kel, Kym and you!!!). Am I missing out on something here?

Kristy - OMG. 1 month to go. That is insane. I hope you don't get too uncomfortable in the last few weeks and get plenty of sleep (3 toilet runs during the night instead of 5).

Kel - I still can't believe you have no TV either. I would not survive. As far as Jem's social interaction. THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO AT THIS AGE. What is with your daycare? Do they not know much about children's development? They are supposed to be totally absorbed in their own little world, not be able to share etc. So don't worry sweets.

Jayne - Where are you. I'm back and now you're gone. I miss hearing about your girls.

Kym - Will have to book you in for some dinners.

Ryn - Ohhh...I love moving to a new house and discovering new places, new parks, coffee shops etc. in walking distance. I hope you find something you really like.

Us - DH gets home in 3 sleeps. I am so excited. He has to go away earlier than we thought though, so it means he is only home for two weeks before leaving again for 7weeks. So much for trying TTC.

Tobi has a few more animal sounds down pat and is so much better with his body parts now. He still wants to stick his finger up my nose though. The other day we were at a neighbours place and he asked where the bub-bie was. So cute that he remembered that a baby lives there (he was upstairs asleep) and ever since he loves babies. My Mum came down this weekend and got him one of those Little People cars, which has a baby in the backseat. He loves it. I am definitely thinking about getting him a doll, maybe not straight away, but when we are having another little one.

I didn't get to my goal weight in time for DH, but if I don't get pregnant this month, then I will go back on my diet in the 7 weeks that he is away again. I am sure that he will be very impressed still. Because I don't fit into any of my clothes anymore I went on a major shopping spree on the weekend. 2 pairs of shoes, 2 belts, 7 tops, 2 dresses and 5 pants. I just want to get another skirt or two and I will be happy. Did I tell you I got a stylist couple weeks ago??? She really pushed accessories, so I know have a big collection of necklaces and bangles too.

My diet was a total flop... I had issues that I think I have sorted out now, so restarting asap. As for looking after Harry when I was sick... my DH took 2 days off work to help out, because I was just so unwell... and the other days I just ran on autopilot... I honestly don't know how I did it. It was scary because there were times that I would totally forget things because I was so sick... like one afternoon, James came in and said hello to me, I asked how his day was etc, and he left me to watch a movie... about 2 hrs later I freaked out that James hadn't come home from school and we hadn't heard from him. Another time I thought about how good it would be to have some vegemite, and my DH went and did some shopping and came home with vegemite... I was impressed that he considered me (he hates vegemite) and read my mind almost... but nope, I had asked him to get me some vegemite right before he left for the shops. As you can imagine, my DH was so worried about me driving etc... the kdis had 2 days off when I was sick because I didn't want to risk driving them. Thankfully it seems that the flu is pretty much gone... I'd say I am 98% better now.
Well... I'm off to bed now. If I get some extra time tomorrow, I will do personals.

Hi girlies.

DH is still jobhunting, I want to move NOW! We've packed up books and shifted stuff around to make the place look bigger but we can't sell until DH has a new job and I only have about 30 books in the house now! Including all my textbooks, so we better get something sorted before September! Teacher training starts January but that's in Chemistry enhancement, the senior school general science starts September and I finish June 2009. I'll be able to teach Science to 16 and Biology and Chemistry until 18.

Kel, DS has just started copying the TV. We had a no-TV policy for the first... almost year. I think he was 6m old before I turned it on for five minutes so I could hang the washing out and it wasn't on for more than ten minutes for the first year... then we got into Night Garden. But he can do ALL the night garden actions - the circle on the palm, the swaying dance at the end... he LOVES that programme! We also dance with Boogie Beebies and occasionally have Thomas, which he adores. His grandparents automatically put on a Thomas DVD should we visit and DS loves trains so... I'd still rather keep the TV for when I need a shower or a lie-in or the wind-down time rather than just because. Or because DS is in a moody so we put on a film he loves and sing and dance to that - Jungle Book usually.

PMSL that kidlets this age have social skills! Is that not pushing and taking toys? DS is a chatterbox and when he sees a friend he gabbles away at them and they respond, but then they play alone. That's normal! Playing together is usually just if two children happen to play with cars and don't start snatching or complaining someone else is playing in their area. DS can take turns on a slide, but that's it.

OK, at work so have to go but I love reading about all your babies and how well they're doing. Our babies are all so fantastic! BTW, DH was miniature at 2 but not too bad now. I always was tall, but off the top of the charts until about 16-18, now I'm at 99%, so don't know how good the indicators are for us.

lisa i am so glad you are feeling better - scary though when you think of what you could have forgotten to do etc! like feed the baby heheheh, i'm sure harri would have let you know

ryn - jemima was only into doc phil when we had the tv so that was probably not great for her anyway! she loved to clap when the audience did!!

jayney - where are you???

tashie - stylist is too cool! you are going to rock hubby poos world!!! body parts, jemima is amazing with body parts, i dont know where she learns it (derrr probably daycare) anyway today i called her a cheeky monkey (where do i get that from jayne??) and she pointed to her cheeks!! and it turns out she knows teeth and chin and cheeks and of course bum bum (taught by me) so she points to peoples bum bums which is funny......

jem spent the day in hospital today which was kinda scary when i realised how bad she was - she had an asthma type attack and had trouble breathing i feel bad coz she was like it ALL night but we didnt take her in til this morning... went to doc last night and he said if she not any better in an hour (she was having heaps trouble breathing) to take to hospital by the time we got all the prescribed medications it was more than an hour and she was not better and then benji would nt let me take her coz he hates drama and thought she was ok coz she was so happy still but i wanted to take her coz of how laboured her breathing was so i took her back to doc this morning and he said definately take her to emergency
they let her go home early as long as i continue her treatment from home which means i have to check her 3 hourly and if she is awake give her ventalin and if she is asleep see how she is breathing and wake her if it is laboured..... they usually keep them in hospital til they can go 4 hours without medication but that would have meant overnight stay and we didnt really want that.... no beds where i was and two head ville where there were beds! and she was getting really restless

i have made big decision i am going to join weight watchers and go to the meetings - I HAVE NEVER gone to meeting before so hopefully it is the kick in the fat bum i need! never paid to do it either so that should get me to stick to it too...... just found out a mate of mine has lost 30kg in the last year or so on it so bring it on!

monkey monkey monkey how is your cleaning set going??

i just cancelled jemima's tramp for xmas - no room left in the yard after my two new gardens and jems fort etc but am looking for the perfect battery operated car - has to go forward and backwards though

as suggested by kristy when we met up i am going to get jem the fisher price tough kids digital camera
she is so spoilt - i am so broke.... oh well i took the mini pill for the 2nd time today so am officially waiting for more!

(oh yeah kymmmmy you are NOT supposed to go on full pill while breastfeeding as estrogen goes into your milk and is not good for babies especially boy babies) (my doc must have had a blonde moment when he prescribed normal pill)

i'm not usually a fan of medication BUT drug tobi up so he sleeps very very very well tonight!

Ok, well I know that I have been shagging non stop for the last few days, but where is everyone else?
Dh's home coming was fantastic. I can't fault it in any way. He has been fantastic with Tobi, fantastic with me, fantastic in the bedroom and a great help too. I am in love again!!
Tobi went all quiet when he saw him. Its like he didn't know whether to smile or cry. Then Nathan picked him up and they were best buddies again. After 3 hours of non-stop laughing between then and bed I was worried he might have a belly ache from laughing so much. DH is back at work and Tobi asks where he is all day. The first morning he was checking under the blankets in our bed, thinking that he was just playing hide and seek. I hope he doesn't react too badly when he has to go again end of next week.
And yes, I did rock hubby's world. He still can't get over how much weight I lost and how good I look. I have gone off my diet now while we are TTC and I haven't put on any weight yet, which is great.

Sally - How is the TTC going? Are you hoping for a girl or boy? It sucks having to wait those couple of weeks each month to find out whether your UTD or not. When we were trying with Tobi I gave up doing tests each month. But I am so impatient, don't know if I can do that again. How is Brendan going with his new found eating machine of a mouth???

Kel - How is Jem going now darl? I meant to tell you too, I got my Tupperware and it all fits in the fridge!!! I didn't get a magnet though :( But my neighbour has one, so I have copied down the ones I wanted to know from hers.

Ryn - How is the job hunting going?

Lisa - The stylist was awesome. I would totally recommend it to everyone. She went through what clothes suit me, ones that don't, colours, what shoes to wear with what etc. I learnt so much and have so much confidence now strutting down the street.

Kristy - Not much longer now. I hope the last few weeks go smoothly and you enjoy your parties.

jem is still sick. last tuesday hospital with asthma and then found out she has rsv a common virus which is bad for little babies and she is still recovering from it snot and cough and the norm..... so i am thinking very seriously about being a 'better' mummy and not sending her to daycare tomorrow even though the doc said she could probably go as long as they were comfortable giving her ventalin if she needed it....... i can feel myself getting sick a very low chesty cough not just a tickle at the back of my throat so kinda worried i have the same thing

sil due to have baby last monday - and jem and maybe i cant visit til mid next week if it happens before then...

Tash, TTC really sucks... i hate going through it every month, with brendan it was easy, we just didn't mind either way and left it to nature :lol: I really want a girl... one of each would be so nice! Good luck to you! What does your DH do to be away? That must be really hard for you guys. :hug:

Kel, Jemima is awesome!! eeek about the fishtank though!

AFM, Brendan is sick again :( My sinuses are palying up so i feel like crap! Brendan needs a toddler bed, as he can climb/fall out of his cot. It's a stupidly designed cot... he wouldn't settle into his own bed so slept with us last night, this morning he fell out of the bed, that was at 5:30am i've been up since! We saw the OT on monday and he's coming along quite well, he's trying to do some new things, but still quite flighty and has a short attention span. We will be working on that for the next few visits. The speechy is yet to be in contact, and I'm a little annoyed I'd really like to see her.... Brendan is yet to say his first word and the only thing he seems to understand us say is "no" . And even then he doesn't listen! :lol: :lol: :lol: I'm not worried so much just a bit concerned, i thought by now he'd at least show some understanding about what we are saying to him. he'll shock me one day i know!!

Kell - I hope Jemima is feeling better real soon. My nephews got the flu lurgey and have just got over it now, they all had it for just over a week. Fingers crossed you're not getting it too. Poor little Jem with asthma, that must be so worrying :(

Ryn - Harrison is addicted to Night Garden also... we call him Makka Pakka because he hoards toy cars (seriously, we found some in his shoes the other day... one in every shoe)... but we call him Iggle Piggle when he is wearing a blue jumpsuit or a blue t shirt. Harry also loves doing the sway dance at the end, and walks around the living room with his arms up doing the dance at the same time! It is too cute. Harrison loves Teletubbies also.
Sal - Hiya :) how's everything going? How's Brendan?
Kym - I got your message via Kel the other day to listen to Triple J :) Thanks for that... I wouldn't want to miss a second of Kings of Leon (yep, I am just slightly obsessed!)
Kristy - OMG, less than 2 weeks to go... as I mentioned on Facebook, as much as you might not think so, it seems that this pregnancy has flown! I can't wait to hear the news of your new little arrival and can't wait to see some pics! All the very best hun :hug:

Me - Well, we've all hopped off the virus train here, and it is such a great feeling (sorry Kel, not meaning to rub it in!)
I'm going up to my Mum's house this weekend, and my sister BIL and 3 nephews are going up there too from Sydney, and my youngest sister will be there with my little niece, so I am going to be in Aunty Heaven this weekend! I can't wait to see them all!

i wish it was just the flu that jem has - i am feeling better i am going to fight it except with the medication i am on i cant have cold and flu stuff but it is not the cold or flu i can feel it - but fight fight fight

sal - good luck with TTC but remember it takes a couple of months after coming off the pill for most chicks to get a regular cycle happening - brendan WILL surprise you... does he know any of his body parts or anything like that??

lisa - i heard my first KOL song yesterday! or i first realised it was a KOL song, I just listen to music and dont pay a lot of attention to what i am listening to but Jemima is way cooler than me and keeps changing the radio to triple J and they talk about what they are playing heaps more than my usual stations

are all the bubs down to one sleep??? when are they having it??? i am having a shocker with jem at the moment.

i cancelled daycare tomorrow - jem needs at least one more day - she sounds so wheezy and funny i hate it!

photos - jem's first pony tail and jem waving at me from her new fave spot - but she is starting to understand that she doesnt have to get that close to wave at the fish

Nope... tried teaching him, but he wont sit still long enough! LOL. He will only sit and watch tv for about 1-2 mins before getting up and playing with his toys or something, he's just not really interested in things that aren't interactive!

Lisa, yeah not too bad thanks :) Brendan is unwell atm and i'm coming down with something, ick! Have fun on the weekend!
