I've made these chicken and vege pastries for dinner tonight. Oh i hope she likes them. I've felt her 8th tooth bump and I felt a tiny tiny sharp bit. Looks like its cutting today or tomorrow. So if she won't eat, that could be why.
Thanks for letting me know what your kids eat. Its a pain cooking for one, and harder when she won't eat what I'm eating.
When is Michelle coming back? Where is she? And what happened to Ryn?

ryn is having some problems, you will find her in some other threads, but for some reason not here.
michelle is a busy busy bee, doing heaps with work and stuff
jem just got her 11th tooth on Saturday, big one down the bottom
-
All these bubba's with huge amounts of teeth!!! Harrison is still breaking #3 through! lol
It's never stopped him from eating everything in sight, unless they're too sore, but having none was never a problem.
Yeah I have seen Ryn around the boards too but not in here. I hope she's ok.
I was just looking at ninemsn and there has been a tornado through the area that Jayne is in... I hope her family didn't suffer any damage and are just one of the homes without power.
-
LISA _ I'm here, just been MIA while Alan is home. Helping him build the bunny hutches & doing family stuff. Loads of homes got damaged, but thankfully not ours. Not even any in our estate. We are not far from the beach, but it was the houses closest to the beach that got hit. How are you going with the diet? did you say they blood test you on a monthly basis? Geepers, it's like living in a boot camp! LOL. I'm sure it's workign though & you're probably feeling fantastic now that you're used to the portion sizes & the recipes again. I can't believe what a gummy bear Harry is! It's amazing! He obviously was too busy lining up in the curly hair department & not so much in the teeth department!
KEL _ HOw is Jem's ears? Hope they are better now. Claudy has just had her 1st ear infection for the winter as well. Was meant to take her back to the Dr today to get it checked, but I know she is ok, so will leave it be. She finishes the last of the AB's tonight. Yep, sorry, have to pick my bunnies up from the aiport, so I won't be at your party, but I will order up big when you are over. I want a modular mates set, the one I want is nearly $200. Have to order that when Alan not here! LOL. I have totally fooled him on the price of the bunnies too. Well not the price, but the freight.
PEG _ Hope that Flutterby ate up all those vege rolls that you made. They sound delicious. I sometime just boil some plain pasta for my 2 when they are being fussy. No sauce, sometimes some melted cheese on top & they love it. My kids also will eat a few squares of cheese, ham, cucumber & things like that when they are having bad food days. Claudy has been fussy for a while, but most of her fusiness is because the food is wet, cold, slimy or messy & she is a snob, so she will prefer to go without & also eating off mummy's fork is NOT COOL so she will not even try it. She spoon feeds herself yoghurt & I HATE it, it ends up everywhere, but if I try & do the spoon she has a tanty & won't eat anymore. She is a major PITA when she wants to be.
KRISTY _ Where you baby-bumper? Alan flies out tonight, so I am free for a playdate one day next week? Thursday?
ME _ Alan has been home for 10 days. He flies out again tonight. Has been great having him home, despite Claudy's disgust at having him here. She is really on a vendetta against him. She will walk past him now & give him a kiss because she knows he'll stop bugging her once she's given him a kiss. This is a major breakthrough, before that she wouldn't even look in his direction. Claudy's ears are much better but Jess woke this morning with a disgusting cough, so I hope now that Claudy is better that Jess isn't going to get sick. WE have been busy building the rabbit hutch, can't wait to have the bunnies inside!!!
Love Jayne xox
-
Hiya Jayne! Glad to hear you and your family are okay. DH still hasn't called his brother to see how he is.
My diet is going ok... had a few drama's over the weekend, but all is okay now. I don't weigh myself for another week or so but I did my measurements on Friday and I have lost a total of 30 cms off my body;
Arms - The same
Bust/Chest - lost 3cms
Waist - lost 7cms
Hips - lost 14cms
Thighs - 6cms
Total - 30cms!!!!
I am thrilled to bits with this... but going away over the weekend would have set me back a few days I think... I didn't exactly eat to the plan whilst away.
I get a blood test done at 4 weeks, then another at 12 weeks, 16 weeks, 18 weeks and 20 weeks. So my 4 week one is on June 24.
-
arms stay the same for SO long - but holy dooly on the hips!!! you go girl!!
-
Yeah I've heard that it can take a while to lose from the hips.
I have a fat butt so I have plenty to lose there! lol
I have had a few bad days, so I am taking a full day off my diet today. I have just been feeling down and miserable... hard to find my motivation... I am going to go to the library and check out some self help books for inspiration, and maybe book in to see a psychologist.
On a lighter note... the kids and I are going Wolverine hunting this afternoon. Hugh Jackman is filming Wolverine at a local beach... Jamie is a HUGE Xmen fan so we're gonna see if we can meet him and maybe get a pic.
-
oh get him to sign your boob for me! i love him!
and i get benji to do wolverinie sometimes when he has the side burn thing happening!!!!!
-
Hahaha Kel!!!
Would you wanna see it though? lol
Well... we did meet him, and he had a photo done with Harrison! James was starstruck, and got a half pic taken with him (stupid camera!)
This is the pic here
-
OMG what an awesome photo!!!
Congrats Lisa on losing the weight! I'm just not in the mood to watch what I eat and exercise more. Feeling slight depression coming on. Going to detail it in boohoo room.
DD has 8 teeth now, got latest one on Tuesday. Oh god I hope there's no more teeth coming for a while.
-
Hi Girls,
Just a quick one from me, Hubby , Erin and I have all been sick with flu and poor Erin had power chucks yesterday. She is fast asleep now, porr littlle thing as as hubby is on nightshift I think I will be doing the same.
Will hopefully catch up with personals in the next few days,
xx
-
Feel better soon Kristy. Hey can you get a bump-n-beyond ticker so we can see your belly progress and erin's age?
-
KRISTY _ Don't be sick! We need a playdate!!! Hope you're all better very soon. My next door neighbour is having a tupperware party tomorrow night, we are sorta going halvies, but I know I won't see any of the rewards as the consultant is her friend. Lucky for me I have my OWN Tupperware lady now - Kel! YAY! Hope you got some rest while DH is out on night shift.
PEG _ Wow at the 8th tooth, sorry to tell you she is halfway there! Claudy has 12 teeth now, but she has cross cut them, so looks funny. How is DD going with the meat & veg thing now?
LISA _ OH my lordie!!! Congratulations, but seriously, stop sending your freaking kg's my way! I have put on 4kg! Yes, that's 4kg (stop laughing) in the last month! I"m seriously over it. I am a food addict, I admit it! OPENLY! LOL. Something has got to happen, & fast!!!
ME _ Does anybody know that show In the Night Garden? **** my two kids are hooked on it! I have been to the ABC shops & it's not released on DVD until August, but today in Target Claudy does this mega gasp & I'm thinking she has dropped her pooh beah security blanket, but no, there was an entire wall of the books! She went nuts. So of course I got her 2 books & Jessica got all upset that she didn't get one, so I have to give her one of them, she loves it too! It's insane! OH & Claudy has learned the cutest thing, she can blink on command! It's adorable, she nods while she blinks & it makes it even cuter!
Love Jayne
PS _ I got my bunnies on Saturday! Was soooooo excited that I cried when they came off the plane!
-
alrighty jayney you are having a catalouge party, i will make yours a party booking from my friend's party i am doing on saturday SHE WILL NEED THE PARTY BOOKINGS
so that will mean you will be able to order stuff out of the july promo book i got last night
kung fu panda is still there and they have some nifty things called midgets you can buy for i think $16 if you buy $60 in normal stuff and the thankyou gifts apparently are cool coz it is money to spend on tupperware so you can get more more more.
when i come over i will deliver your order
i think the july promo will get emailed to me from all my tupperware 'friends' so i will email it to you when i get it or get off my butt and scan it myself
i will email to kristy too, can you give her a catalouge from your friends party??
make sure your sister waits for YOUR catalouge party to buy her knives and what not so we can get you more free stuff
when i come over we can just have a party non-tupperware related, i should though be an expert on making sunrise ****tails by then though and will make a pizza in a tupperware jellyring for ya!
cute as that claudy is blinking, that is too cute i will have to try on jemima, have not heard of Night Garden, but we dont watch tv so i guess i wouldnt have..... (i watch TV but jemima doesnt have the attention span to do more than 3 mins so i dont bother)
kristy dont get sick.... kristy put some pregnant photos of you on facebook, you have the same surname as one of the girls i went to highschool with so i was so confused when you added me and jemima, i'm like why would she want to be friends with jemima..?? but then who wouldnt
bit bummed this week as my thyroid tests came back normal, my doc brother was super excited that it had corrected itself, i am too as fixing it would have not been fun but at least then there wouldhave been a reason for everything! but now i just work on the other possible reasons and move on
jemima is now not having a morning feed!!!! this is day 4, cant remember why or how we did it big time distraction, but this mornng i think she almost remembered so benji took her out of room quick smart, it is just going to be easier to go to work starting at 7am thurs and 6-6.30am fridays without factoring in her morning feed. still giving her and offereing her nighttime feed because i am not ready to give it up
but now she is on one feed a day i am starting the happy pills my doc gave me (so who knows a whole new kel posting soon??) i had been told that breastfeeding and these pills may not be a good idea by a different doc but i figure if my normal doc i have been seeing for ages thought they would do me good and i remember reminding him i was still breastfeeding then i wanted to see if there was a better kind of normal.....
hopefully these tablets will help with everything and then all my hormones will get ready for me to get pregnant etc etc
lisa - how much have you lost now??? in the last two weeks without doing anything i have lost 800grams so i told jayney that she found it for me LOL i'm a *****! but this week i have sneak peaked the scales and i am afriad the cow gave it back to me! my cousin got married 2 saturdays ago and their cake was cupcakes (their mum thought it was so different and clever somehow she had forgotten we had that 3 years ago for our wedding) the cupcakes had little birds on them and flowers and the top cake was a birdcage all shabby chic very cute - ours top one was a giant cupcake and little ones had candy hearts on them with B and K on them our whole theme were candy hearts..... sigh.....
pegasus - hehehe i almost used your name - hehehehehe - thought of you the other night when jemima was chowing down on beef strog with us one of the meals we dont have to stuff around with making babyproof with the spices or whateva coz she loves it....... does DD eat pasta?? try all the different sizes and shapes or cous cous, all good for the feeding self phase as all easy for them to get in their mouth the big ones with their hands or when they are showing off their fork and then the cous cous we find sticks to the spoon at all different angles
oh oh oh oh the tupperware sipper tumblers the lids (sorry SEALS) dont fall off when they throw them and when they throw them they roll and roll so that the sipper side is upright so less mess!!! if you want to order some email me benjiandkel at hotmail dot com they are i think $23.95 that is a set of 4
jemima has been using them heaps (i bought them at the party i went to when i decided to join tupperware) i thought i'd get a different kind of cup to use mainly for milk coz she is still not using milk, it only kinda worked and she loves her juice and water from it instead (i think mummy just has to be stricter and not give in)
-
I wrote a whole message but the Bellybelly server went down and I lost it!
Ok... I will try this again!
I will do personals when the site will stay up longer.
I have stopped my diet... mostly due to feeling tired and yucky... but also because AF is overdue and I really want to have a cycle before re-starting. I have done HPT's and they're all negative, which was a relief for me.
Kel - My friend has this little chopping thingy that I wanna buy from Tupperware. You put in 1/2 and onion, twist it a few times and it comes out diced.
Do you know what I'm talking about? How much are they?
Ok... I will post this now and I will come back later and try to do more.
Bye :)
-
yes yes yes - i am falling in love with mine all over again it is the happy chopper and it is $43.45, i have started to use mine again for baby food, occasionally if i have made big frozen veges and jemima is being fussy i just happy chop them up and mix them with pasta and chicken and sauce and then she eats it
also used it the other night when i was making tacos, i did the capsicum, the lettuce and the carrot (seperately) and it was perfect size
email me your postal address and i will send you a catalouge - will put your purchases on jayne's party and post your order to you (i am flying to deliver jaynes so the least i can do is post yours)
lisa - slow and steady diet seems to be working for me at the moment, using all i have learnt from all of the fad ones i have done - so hopefully same for you???
however just bought a heap of m&m dispeners and an m&m clock and stuff so hmmmmmm
anyways check this out!

We have bad eating nights about every 2-3 nights. I made vege nuggets yesterday. Mashed veges, onion and cheese with tomato paste, spices, egg and breadcrumbs, pan fried in no oil and then I froze them for meals. She ate 4 for lunch yesterday and ate 1 with dinner tonight, with a quarter of a fish fillet (I give her half a one) and half a chip. Then again, she had a late afternoon tea.
Kel
Thank goodness your hormones are settling down. I think anxiety meds can make a huge amount of difference. My auntie has this weird type of depression, she's had since childhood. Her parents took a while to get her seen by doctors and then she was an all sorts of meds until many years ago, they found the trick. One pill daily. They got the medication sorted, and she lives a happy normal life. Normal ups and downs, but she must take this one pill, or it will come back. I even took a very low dose of antidepressant medication last year.
Weight loss girls
Good luck. Its never easy. Lose some, gain some, but as long as you are slowly reaching your goal, that's all that matters. I'm going to try to lose weight soon. First things first, I need to buy some scales LOL I don't have any yet!!! But I'm trying to eat better. Walk a bit more. What I really need is motivation to just go for a 30 minute walk every day. I just need to look at the map so I don't get lost!!! LOL
Tupperware
I'd love Tupperware, but the price is what I can't get over. The sippy cups sound great. Atm I use the Take-n-Toss. Last week I got her juice water out of the fridge and it slipped and fell on the lid on the floor and I split the lid from the tip of the "sip" to the edge. Dang! So I just bought some more. So now I have 8 cups and 7 lids. I'm hoping to wean her onto an open cup by the time these cups are on the way out.
I'm doing better, but some days I feel lonely and bored. With DD not walking yet, its just a pain taking her to the park. She can only crawl and eat dirt, or play on the swing. Oh hurry up and walk!!!
-
[I]i had a reply ages ago but that was when the forum was playing up so wouldnt let me post
grr
anyways
my hormones are not settling down - or not officially anyways.... will most likely need to get another blood test to figure that out - my thyroid levels are normal but dont know about the important hormones the baby making ones - it will be interesting to find out
tupperware is only expensive if you dont think about the quality, if you look at the quality compared to less expensive products tupperware wins hands down and also the lifetime guarantee thing is pretty cool, i cant wait to get my can opener, my first order is going to be huge, i want the can opener and the quickchef as well and the new go flex colander and and and and and and and oh the midgets that are only available if you have a party for two weeks in july i have to find a way to buy heaps of those
my first tupperware party was lastnight, would have been more successful if my friend had gotten more people there there was only her, her mum and 2 friends, and her and her friend are going backpacking for 2 years so dont need tupperware but i sold to the other two - just not alot
another party tonight and my friend said there will be 5 couples there so we shall see how that goes
jemima is apparently going really well at daycare - they said though she prefers and likes to play by herself so to all those people that go on about daycare for socialisation SO THERE that is a load of crap too, daycare honestly i need it as i am honest enough with myself that i know that i can not cope all by myself with jemima all day, i am working on it and have made tuesdays and wednesdays mummy days, wednesday is swimming lessons so i am not home all day but maybe this tuesday i will actually be home with her all day and that will be a good challenge
pegasus - have you found a mothers group down there?
lisa - i got your facebook messages i've just been busy as with tupperware stuff but i am so posting you a catalouge on monday will email you when i know when i need to know what you want
jayney - how is claudy? do you post in the 3 year threads for jess issues?? i've never bothered to sticky beak to see.....
tashie - how are tobi's naps going??
-
I will have to find a mother's group in my area. Need company of mums. I've just found and joined a single parent forum (don't shoot me lol) but it doesn't look like anyone is in my area. They do have meet-ups but with me not driving, its 1-2 hours each way to the meeting point. So I can't do it. But the admin said that if I found a place, that they'd try to organise a meet-up there.
With tupperware, the lifetime guaruntee is great, but the initial outlay is too much for me. Do they have layby? Coz what I do need is one of those huge multipacks with the different size containers. The tiny ones for meals for DD and medium and large ones for pantry stuff and leftovers for the freezer and home-baked goodies. Do they have packs like that?
-
Hello,
Sorry I've been MIA. Claudy is sick again. Conjunctivitis for over a week & now it's a full on eye infection & Ear Infections Number 9 & 10. Yes my girl doesn't do anything by half, she gets both ears infected at the same time. So it hasn't been happy families here right now, but today is loads better!!
PEG _ Flutterby will come good with her eating, it's just a stage, so long as she's not declining with her weight, she will be fine. Have you tried cheese sticks? My kids are mad on those. & yoghurt, but the trick is there to let her spoon it herself. Claudy loves herself stupid doing the spoon all by herself.
KEL _ Listen to you talking Tupperware up. I would have close to $2000 of tupperware & it's worth every single cent I have spent. I love it! But I don't have that jel ring thingy, so maybe you can bring that with you to make my pizzas? I can't believe you're coming here soon! Tell me, do you want relaxing casual holiday or do you want jam packed with outings? I'm easy peasy. Our zoo aint nothing on the zoo's over east, but we can do zoo if you want? Otherwise there is Fremantle & Perth (boring!), but we can do them all? You can come watch Jess do gymnastics too! You'll have fun keeping Jem off the equipment like I do with Claudy! Also, I can take Jem & Claudy bike riding in my caravan, you can ride Alan's bike or stay home & vacuum! LOL. I love it!
LISA _ Honey, how are you? Are you alright? Are you getting advice from Cohens why it's making you so rundown? I am doing super special with counting my WW points this week & I write down everything that goes into my mouth & sticking so hard to my points. I have lost 2.3kg & weigh in day isn't until Wednesday! I just have a really good feelign about myself now that I can see it's coming off.
Hope you are all having a fab weekend!
-
Urgh! I am so tired!
I got a call at 1:30am to tell me that my sister was in labour... so we were already packed and waiting... we just locked things up and took off to Port Macquarie from here, we got there around 5am to find out that the hospital were sending her home! She was having contractions 5 mins apart lasting 30 seconds, and she was 1cm dialated. So we went home, she had contractions all morning and then they all stopped around 11am. Nothing since!
So we left for home a little after 2 pm and and have just got home... now, I'm about to cook dinner and get things ready for the rest of the week.
Sooooo tired! I will do personals when I have some time and energy :)
-
ohh oooohh baby coming woohooo! how exciting lisa
i always have talked tupperware up which is why i thought i best try my hand at selling it.... i always gave other tupperware people big sales coz of the way i talked it up at other peoples parties, i'd never have my own party just go to everyone elses and buy stuff for them - i cant wait til this week i am buying myself the can opener! (among other things)
jayney - relaxing holiday please - but zoo sounds good! and i am maybe going to meet with a friend from another forum i am on but just quickly for coffee or something, she is a little pushy but cant go to perth and not meet up with her - listen to you dropping the weight! too cool.... i am doing opposite over here but not really worried, when i get into a routine again with life i can focus on it then especially with food and veges going to be more acccessable to me soon
anyhow had HUGE weekend so i gotta go ge some rest and unpack the car - my aunty gave jemima a slide climbing set things and a rockinghorse for outside and we fit it in the car somehow...
-
Lisa
I KNOW how she feels. That's what happened to me. Third time in, my midwife asked me if I wanted my waters broken. And THAT got things going.
I'll check out the website and consider the prices of the Tupperware.
Have fun girls!
-
Well, my Mum just called me with an update.
She told me that Cassie has lost her mucus plug but is still not having contractions.
So I guess that bubba is going to come when s/he feels like it.
It would be nice if bubs could hold out til the weekend :) lol
-
LISA _ Are you an Aunty again? I'm dying to hear all about the new Bubba! Does she know what she's having? I hope you caught up on some sleep honey! How far away does she live? How are you feeling now that you've stopped Cohens? Try the Weight Watchers, I'm singing it's praises today beacuse I have lost 2.7kg in the 1st week! I know the first week is always the big losing week, but still!
KEL _I'm soooooooo glad to hear that you want a relaxing holiday! So glad. 4 days doesn't give us much time, but we can do the playhouse, the zoo, Jessica's gymnastics, etc... Where abouts is your BB friend? Who is it? Do I know her? LOL. The day you leave is swimming lessons, I will have to check your flight info again, I might have to get MIL to take Jess to swimming that day.
PEG _ Any thing you buy from Kel, make sure it goes on MY party order! LOL. I hope you find something there you like, it IS great stuff, but I do understand your situation atm.
ME _ I'm not sure if I mentioned, but I am going back to work on Monday. I know it's completely insane & not planned. But they rang begging, so I am going in. Probably only for 3 weeks, but I"m excited nonetheless. It's going to be weird. I am doing 4 days a week which is going to be hard with the kids, but it's only for 3 weeks & they are being minded by family members so it'll be more like a big playdate than anything. I went to Target today & bought some office clothes. Everything is apparently grey in workwear this season! LOL. I have NO work clothes. Got a few tops & a pair of pants, I already had 1 pair of going out pants that I can wear. So I should be sorted, I also got a snazzy vest to put over my button up shirts to give them a new look. Clever aren't I? Oh & Claudia is getting her grommets installed (lol) on 17 July. I'm nervous already. The surgeon rang me today. We have our information appointment on 9 July where I get times, etc... I just want my little bubba better. 10 ear infections is just getting ridiculous.
Well, must go & bath the kids, Claudy has been having 2 sleeps because she isn't well, so that means they are up later at night. Can't win!
Love Jayne xox

just a quickie - jayney it is a completly different forum i am on not a bellybelly one!
-
Well, my sister is in hospital now, 6cm dialated and contractions every minute lasting for a minute... her waters have just broken and it she sounds like she is in a lot of pain :(
I couldn't get up there tonight, because I wouldn't get there in time anyway. She lives about a 3hr drive north of where I am. Looks like I am going to be an Aunty again before tomorrow :) We're going up there on the weekend, I am happy because I can go shopping at Pumpkin Patch and Myer before I go up there, and I will have the right colours for the baby :)
Jayne - I feel like crap not being on my diet. I have bloods done in the morning, and I am starting back again on Thursday. I started AF last week... that was my main reason for stopping... Cohens can be funny with your AF cycle, and with mine being all over the place (this month 36 days, last month 41) I needed to know where I was with my cycle before starting. The clinic and I are considering Thursday to be my day 1 even though it's not ;)
Anyway... I am sooooooo tired. My mum called me at 2am this morning... my poor sister has been in labour for 24 hours now and pre labour since Saturday night... so she is exhausted! I hope for her sake the bubs is here real soon.
-
Hello my Ladies,
Soory about being MIA lately, we got over our colds then DH and I had a gastro bug but glad to say we are all well now.
LISA - Nearly Aunty time, how exciting. Though I must admit all that talk about abour makes me a little nervous!!!!
JAYNEY - Wow going back to work, you busy little thing,I was just going to ask what date we could do our playdate as well!!!! What dort of work will you be doing hun?Hope the op will help with prro Claudias ears. poor honey. That is the day before my b'day.Friend rang today to ask me to have a tupperware party and I said No. Saving it for yours!
KEL - Can't wait to catch up with you when you come over. I am proably about 25 mins from Jayne, nothing in Perth is too far away. How is the job and the tupperware all going?
PEG - SOunds like a good idea for you to find a mothers group etc, hopefully something that is nice and close for you.
Not too much happening in my neck of the woods. 25 weeks prego today , have to book to have that grose glucose test in a couple of weeks. I still can't beleive that I wioll have a baby in 15 or so weeks, very hard to get my head around.Bought ERin this gorgeouse toy kitchen for christmas that was 1/2 price from KMART. Want to be organised this year and get the presents early so I am not trying to shop with a 6 week old!!!
Love to you all xx
-
Helllloooooo!
I too have been MIA, no real excuses, just life!
Jayne, about 10 days ago you posted about In the Night Garden..... Monkey has seen a bit of it based on my best mate telling me how totally obsessed her almost 3yr old is with it - apparently heaps in her mothers gp are the same! Monkey wasn't too fussed, but then she isn't a huge telly fan generally. Apparently it's made by the same people who created the Tellytubbies - they must know something about kids brains that we don't!!!
Though, I do have to tell you all about Monkey watching Sunrise on Monday... we usually have it on and tune in and out, but the other day they had one of the choirs on from that silly sun night show and they were singing Over the Rainbow - she ran up to the TV and was singing and pointing and smiling and dancing through it all - absolutely gorgeous!! Of course, I then went a bit silly and borrowed the Wizard of Oz soundtrack from the library and we've been listening to it in the car - it's not quite the same with just Judy Garland singing, but I'm enjoying it LOL!
Lisa, looking forward to hearing about your new niece/nephew! ooh and how many teeth does Harrison have now?? Monkey just cut her 6th last night!
Hello Kristy, Kel, Peg, Tash and maybe some lurkers who we haven't heard from in a while.....
We are watching the Gruen Transfer atm.... gosh it's funny, I love it!
I'm not sure I have any other news... will probably think of something as soon as i press the submit button.
Hugs to all.
-
See... knew I'd think of something....
Kristy, you mentioned about the kitchen 1/2 price at Kmart... Monkey's carer told me that Toys R Us also have a wooden kitchen 1/2 price at moment that she is going to buy.... must go check it out, though we don't really have the space.... The carer is so wonderful - she doesn't have her own children and treats these guys like her own and spends so much of her own money on them. We are so lucky to have her.

I have written in the birth announcements.
Jennifer Jean was born at 5:09am this morning... I haven't heard how much she officially weighs yet, but the midwives said they guessed around 8lb 9oz. My poor sister had a huge labour... Bubs turned posterior and needed to be turned. Cassie was 10cms dialated from 11pm so it was a very very long birth.
I haven't spoken to her today. I wanted to let her rest up today because she has been in labour since Monday and she was apparently exhausted. Poor thing :(
But the fantastic news is that Jenna is here!!! And... she has broken the girl drought in my family :) My parents have 5 grandsons and 2 grandaughters now... there have been 4 grandsons born since the first grandaughter (Madeleine) was born. And, I now have a niece!!! I have 2 nieces on my DH's side, but it is different to have a blood related niece now :)
Well, I'm off to bed now. Thanks for asking about my sister and for the well wishes

KYM _ Jess loves the Night Garden too! I saw some books the other day in Target & got them 1 each but I know all the words off by heart now so I have bought the other two to keep in their little toy bag to take places with them while I'm working. I have also ordered some merchandise from the UK as nothing is available here in Aus until August. Jess knows all the characters now & she can read the books off by heart to Claudy, so double bonus for me! Oh yeah, Jess has the wooden painted toy kitchen from Kmart. She got it for her 2nd birthday. Alan's parents bought it & I bought all the appliances for it & she got a teaset from some other family members. It's awesome. Has a microwave, sink, taps, oven & fridge. Even a clock on the side! The kids love it. They are really great for them. Lucky for us we have the space. Oh & she has a shopping trolley for it as well. Kids toys are soooooooo fun! I have started my Christmas shopping already, but the big toy sales are coming up & we are getting the kids a trampoline, but I'm having it sunk into the ground. My 2 kids are seriously crazy & I think it will save on ambulance bills.
KRISTY _ I am not working Thursdays & now that Claudy isn't allowed to swim any more until her ears are fixed, we have Thursdays completely free. PM me your e-mail & we will sort it out so this lot don't get jealous! LOL
LISA _ Oh wow! You must be an aunty by now. Your poor sister, I really hope that bubba is out in the big wide world by now. Yes, what a great idea about going shopping for the right colours! I can't wait to hear, I am thinking a boy. Yeah, I can imagine that Cohens would upset AF because of all the sudden changes, your hormones would go ballistic. Well now you have it all sorted you can try again!
KEL _ Ok, I have requests for fish & chips on the beach, trip to the zoo & taking kids for a ride in the caravan on the back of the bike. What else? We can go up to Fremantle one day, the City is totally boring & NOTHING there for the kids. Maybe we could do a shopping spree at Garden City or something. Any suggestions Kristy?????
ME _ Can't believe that this week is nearly over & then I'm going back to work! Totally insane. I have to go shopping & buy some more makeup but I'm scared I don't know how to apply it anymore! I was a bit of a glamour puss when I was at work last time so I want them to know I still have it! Even with 2 kids. I know that's stupid though. LMAO. Claudy is a bit miserable today, the poor chook. Won't be long & she will be all fixed! I hope.
Hope you're all having good nights!

Congrats to Cassie and Auntie Lisa!!!
I finally tried to call about the young mother's group, and it turned out the number was wrong. So I called my social worker who gave me the coordinator's number, who then gave me the right number. Only one digit was wrong, so must have been a typo. I'll call that number tomorrow, it was too late in the day to call today. Problem is, monday is last group for the term, then two week term break and then its back on.
Hope everyone is ok. DD has been getting very clever. Miming and copying so well and even made up her own word. Gah gah, and she points to her sippy cup. So whenever she says gah gah she wants a drink. Well I'm guessing anyway.
I'm doing ok, occasional bouts of the blues, but in my current situation, that's normal. What's lucky is that I don't have depression, which you'd expect.
I'd love to go to a tupperware party or any other product party. Any Sydneysiders, let me know if you're having one. I did go to a friend's one about 8 months back, and my XP guilted me into cancelling the order I hadn't even finalised. I was only getting maybe $50 worth of things. I hope that one day when I'm in a new relationship that my partner is not money controlling or money guilting. I won't stand for that again. I am so good at budgeting. I save for things and am frugal on things that are unecessary, and I get generic for most of the things that don't make a difference. Like cooking margarine (for baking etc, I get nice butter for bread), olive oil, flour, basic pantry items, even biscuits. If its plain, it need not cost more for fancy packaging. My mum and dad brought me up very well.
Sorry for making this post all about me. How's the weight loss going girls? I bought scales today. I weigh 75kg (analogue, so could be a little off) so want to lose 15kg. Aiming for 10kg minimum. Tell me what diets you have tried and what exercise regimes you have done. All I am doing is trying to cut back on junk food and sweets, and trying to make time to go for a good walk.

LISA _ Oh wow!!! a lovely pink bundle to cuddle! How gorgeous. I bet you have got so clucky over seeing Jenna that you have grown feathers! Did you manage to buy everything in pink? How cute. I bet she is just adorable!!!
KRISTY _ I am going back to work at the City of ****burn. I worked there for 4 years but went on Maternity Leave & later resigned. I just couldn't have possibly gone back to work the way that Jessica was as a newborn. I didn't more than 3 hours sleep in a row until she was 6 months old! LOL. So I am looking forward to it, but it's going to be difficult getting us all up & dressed & out the door. Luckily for me they are so stressed with no staff that I can basically work when is suits me. So that is good. Jess is at daycare tomorrow so I have to get her ready for daycare & drop her off, take Claudy to my mum's, go to work, then pick up Claudy & then Jess. Also, I have to try & get Jess to gymnastics as well! I'm tired already!!! How are you? How is the bump? Has Erin felt the baby move? I bet she doesn't really understand what's happening though. Hey, are you still breastfeeding her? I bet that's getting tricky now your tum must be so sticky-outy!
KEL _ I have e-mailed you honey with the plan I am creating in my head about my hols. Did you have any Tupperware parties over the weekend? How did they go? Are you a millionaire as yet? Kit all paid off? Lots of parties in your diary?
PEG _ How are you darl? How's your little Flutterby? What did you do over the weekend?
KYM _ How are you sweets? I heard about your playdates with Tobi & Tash. They sound really cool! I"m glad you 2 have got each other.
ME _ Had a busy weekend. Just getting organised for tomorrow when I go back to work & making sure all my house work is done so I dont have to do anything major after work. The weater has been pretty dicey so it's hard getting washing dried, thankfully I have a dryer. Well, I must be off!!! I'll let you know how tired I am tomorrow!

Phew....
Well, I'm back home after spending the weekend with my gorgeous little niece, she is sooooo beautiful! She has white hair! Looks mostly like her Daddy but a lot like her Mummy too.
The suckiest thing though... Madeleine has come down with CHICKEN POX!!! Urgh, I am sooooooo annoyed! So now I am guessing that Harrison is gonna get them, and I hope and pray that Jenna doesn't get them:pray:
So... looks like I have a few interesting days/weeks ahead of me.
My poor little Chooky! I hope she feels better soon. Jamie got chicken pox sooooo bad when he was 11 months old, he still has scars on his head from where he would bump the spots when he fell over. I really hope that Maddy doesn't get them as bad as Jamie had them... and I really hope Harry doesn't get them at all and he can get his immunisation against them (which Maddy was meant to get at the same time!)
Off to sort out our washing and do something for dinner. I hope everyone had a nice, spot free weekend :)

Pretty buggered by the end of today. Trains and trains and trains its been. Yesterday I went down to the far south west Sydney to visit a friend, two trains and a bus to get there and same to return. Only got to stay for 3 hours. But it was a great day. DD was really good. Today, I went to the movies. Saw You Don't Mess With The Zohan, which was not that good really. It was funny but could have been a lot better. I also saw Get Smart, which was bloody excellent. Go and see it, and take the kids, sometimes things blow up but there was no violence really. Its got great humour. Going to buy it when it gets cheaper.
I've been dabbling in internet dating. Got a few messages from guys overseas. I don't see how I could be right for them, they're on the other side of the world. Then I get requests or instant messaging pop up. Now I close all of it, and only recontact the ones that fit my general profile. I've been in contact with 3 guys in the Sydney area. 28yo hasn't contacted me back, that's ok. 36yo (contacted me first) I've chatted with him, and he came on so strong with his questions, that I don't want to know him. And 29yo, is really nice. We've chatted 2 nights in a row on msn, and he's down to earth and relaxed. We chat about our interests and hobbies and stuff, and he hasn't asked me anything personal. 36yo gave me his phone number pretty readily. I don't want his number. 29yo hasn't given me his and hasn't asked for mine. I'm thinking that even if we don't start dating, we'll at least be friends.
My diet has started slowly. I'm actively thinking about what I'm eating. Did have a bad dinner last night, but to feed DD before we got home, it was worth it. Had Subway today, so that was better. Going to have a protein shake and yogurt for brekky now, hoping that I don't binge during the day.
How is everyone else going? Chicken pox doesn't sound fun. My cousin got it at 16 months, and thankfully postponed their visit so DD wouldn't get it too. How were your weekends?
xoxo

Peg - Good luck with the internet dating hun.
My DH and I met via the internet. Just be wary of some guys out there... I am sure I don't need to tell you that a lot of them are full of it and will tell you most anything to get something from you (IYKWIM).
I would say that 90% of the single guys I met from the internet were actually married. My DH was, but he was honest enough to tell me that he was separated from his wife and in the 12 month wait for a divorce. He wasn't on there to pick up, he was there to make friends as he had just moved to Sydney and only knew his workmates... I wasn't on there to pick up either... just to have some fun meeting people when I went to Sydney, go out for dinner etc... and we met after speaking via the net for 6 months and over the phone for 4. When we met we knew it was right. He moved up to be closer to me, moved in with me and the rest is history! I wouldn't swap him for anything! And, I would never have met him if it wasn't for the internet :)
Soooooo... don't let people tell you that you can't find Mr Right over the net :) My DH and I are proof that you can.
All the very very best with it hun... at the very least you will meet some interesting characters and have some fun times.

I'm sure we all have stories about i'net dating from ourselves or friends.... I have one friend who met her absolute perfect match there, happily together now for almost 4yrs. And DH's best friend has just recently been VERY badly burnt from someone he met on net - poor guy, he's so lonely, he just got suckered in. Good luck, Peg, sounds like you are open-minded and sensible about it.
Sorry about chicken pox, Lisa..... I've never had them, hope Madeline is better soon and wouldn't it just be a bummer if Harrison got them JUST before the 18mth immunisation......
Monkey and I are having a fun time at the moment, she's such a lovely age! She literally says new words every day, so cool! And despite the odd bit of naughty behaviour to other toddlers (a bit of hitting or pulling hair), she's mostly a delight. I'm willing this phase not to end!!!! (except the naughty stuff).
Though, I'm mot sure if she might be gettting sick???? She was mega tired on Fri and Sat, yest ok, but then last night spiked a nasty temp out of the blue at around 1030pm. (Had been unsettled and not sleeping well since 845pm). Today she is mostly fine, just still seems tired..... Not sure..... She's either fighting something off successfully or I'm wondering if it might be ear inf or UTI??? Will just keep watching her I guess....
Gotta run, few more chores to do before she wakes.
